I have used this camera for few years up until now. It still works fine. The pictures are great. Although it's a little bulky compared to other new cameras, this is still my favorite camera to use whenever I go for a trip or hiking.

This camera makes awesome pictures. I point and click, and to my surprise - they look like I know what I'm doing. The camera is not heavy, easy to travel with, and gives me the little extras I need, to help me catch a beautiful AZ sunset, lightening striking in the desert sky, a smile on a small childs face, etc. I am very pleased with this camera and all the memories it gives me.

I love it; it is a handy size. Takes good pictures especially with the zoom lens. Only drawback is the not so clear screen.

I found this camera a nice choice for a reasonably priced digital with good zoom capabilities. But there is one drawback, no option to use a viewfinder. When I am taking outdoor photos in very sunny conditions, I can not always see the screen image well, and would have appreciated a viewfinder for this situation. But the photos are clear and have good image quality.

had Nicon L22 that broke on vacation. Taped it up and got buy but bought the SX160 to replace. Sooooooo Happy!!!! Price was best we found. Now this is the best point and shoot we ever owned. Have a DSL and use this more. I love it! -Linda

had a Canon Powershot SX110 which got drowned and didn't survive so I replaced it with the newest model and what a difference a few years made. Can't go wrong for the price. I'm still learning all the new features.

This product does what it was bought for, to charge the battery for my cannon IS 200 SX. It doesn't seem to charge as fast as the original but it does charge it none the less. It also comes with a car adapter which should come in handy at some point although I haven't tried that yet. For a fraction of the price of OEM product I would highly recommend it, just 4 stars due to as the speed of charging seems a bit slower.

Excellent feel, weight and grip. Image quality is superb, and even fairly novice photographers can take excellent shots. Analog viewfinder works well enough. Definitely worth your consideration.

I had bit of trouble trying to figure out how to put the adapter onto my lens, but if you look inside of the adapter whilst trying to put the lens on, there is a little indentation on the mount part of the lens that the release pin on the adapter slips into. It is a tad snug when putting onto the lens...so don't be afraid to use a little force and it doesn't make a click noise when putting on the lens. When mounting onto my NEX F3, makes a click noise when attaching (which has a red dot as a guide making it easier to attach to the body).
The build is quite sturdy and metal with a little bit of heft to it. I am happy to receive a good copy,since I have been reading that this fotga adapter is sometimes a hit or miss.

Ordered an SX 150 that arrived in non functional condition. Takes clear photos ,but you need a year to study all of the settings, switches and buttons to know what they do. Wish someone made a camera where all you did weas pointand shoot it!

I am very happy with my new camera. I especially like how I can take excellent close-up shots of flowers outside. Have not used as much inside but did take a very clear video clip with motion in it.

I got this as a gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it. There are a TON of features so it's really worth your time to read the manual and play with it but it does EVERYTHING has a GREAT zoom takes SHARP pictures and it saves very quickly to my SD card.

It has so many options, I doubt that I'll remember half of them.Wish it came with a print owner's manual.I wish it had the tilt LCD display like my old one, but can live without it and is one of the reasons it will fit in my hip pocket - tightly.Highly reviewed in the multiple places researched.

Amazing camera! I'm only a beginner, but i understood the cameras settings easily! It's small and brilliant quality. The various settings make it easy to use in different surroundings - anyone can use it!
I would recommend buying a case as its a lovely camera and would not want to be scratched!

I bought one of these as a "between" camera so I have something better than a pocket camera camera without having to resort to my 20D or 5D MkIII. I have found that even when I am lugging my full kit of 5D with lenses I have the little G15 around my neck too. It takes great pictures. No regrets for the swivel screen going away. I wouldn't have used it and it increases the girth of the camera. Battery life is excellent too. Awesome low light performance for its sensor size.

There's a slight gap in the seal - it can pull out 1 mm on one edge no matter what. Still, it's cheap, and it protects.

Am not able to go from photo to photo flash has to recharge between each photo : (Seems to really go through battery power always seems to have red battery flashing for recharge.I had the Canon Power Shot SX 120 IS and really liked it. I expected better from this one. unhappy with purchase

The fitment was very tight, at first I thought I didn't get the right adapter. I had to turn it very firmly and it locked, very tight fitting on a Minolta 50mm Rokkor-x. Hopefully with time, it will loosen up enough so I can use my other MD lens.

This thing is a battery hog, and if your using the flash forget getting a quick shot, cause it won't happen. It takes good pictures but the camera is way to slow even without flash.

GREAT CAMERA for the price. we love it. it's terrific for zooming in when the kids are playing at the park or just hanging out at home. the options are fantastic (the husband has toyed around with them) but it's really easy to use. i thought the battery thing would bother me a lot, but it's manageable.. would recommend

This is a great camera and I am happy that I bought it. I found the original G1 camera and have watched this camera developed over the years. The pictures are very clear. The controls are fairly standard for a Canon camera and are very easy and intuitive for me to use. The pictures have been great.I have only two small complaints about the camera. The first one is that the raw format that this camera produces is not supported in the popular picture software Picasa. That is Picasa's fault however and hopefully they will develop support for it soon.My other complaint is that the flash has to be manually activated. This is not very hard to do and a fairly minor issue however. I guess that's a good part of this as that it increases the users controlling flash .I would certainly recommend this camera to anybody who is looking for one in this class. Overall I am very happy with it.

I like the camera and all it's functions but I miss the view finder, I think you can frame the picture much better through a view finder. Outside shots in sunny conditions is very difficult to see through the LCD viewer. Most of the time I have to guess what I have in the viewer.........

This camera is smaller and lighter than the G12 and has a better lens. The controls are similar (maybe slightly better but not necessarily - just different - easy to get used to anyway). However, the lack of a tilt screen and the matte finish are disadvantages. The matte finish scratches other items in your bag (if you carry it around like I do with my wallet and sunglasses, etc, in a satchel). And the lack of a tilt screen cramps my style a lot. If you are upgrading from a G12 I'd wait for the G16. If you're in the market for a good point-and-shoot camera, complaints aside, the G15 is an excellent camera offering a good mix or portability, features and quality images. I've had about 8 different Canon G cameras. I like them.

I absolutely loved this camera.it was easy to use and took great pictures. I could go into all the finer points but there is no reason to do that since I would not buy this camera again nor recommend it to anyone. The fatal flaw; the on off switch is very easy to push unintentionally. When that happens, the lens tries to come out over and over again until the plastic gears are stripped and the camera no longer works. You can overcome this by switching from photo mode to view mode so that the lens doesn't try to come out when the camera is accidentally turned. That seems like too much of an effort for a simple point and shoot. Too bad. I bought a Fujifilm to replace it, but it's really hard to find a point and shoot which uses a DS card AND disposable batteries AND has a viewfinder, the three things I had to have.
