This camera eats AA batteries like they were M&Ms. My buddy has one that doesn't do this, but I googled the problem and there are lots of others that display this behavior as well, so it's a design flaw. You will not get one day out of a set of batteries with this cam, and that's a shame because the optical quality of the few shots you do get is excellent.

After one use this device stopped working so a waste of money and I would not recommend if for this reason

Absolutely love this camera. Read lots of reviews of various cameras and this is the one. Just in time for holidays, My son owns much costlier camera and he couldn't believe all the great features Batteries not an issue - bought re-chargeable ones as suggested in reviews.

Have only had this camera for a few weeks. Took some shots over Christmas. The pictures turned out beautiful. The camera is slow though as far as taking pics and recharging flash. For the price its a good camera though.

Needed a digital camera...that was not too expensive...this was good for the price ....to use on vacation trips,and not worry about losing an expensive camera.

It came very fast (7-8 days) in good condition.
Everything is working fine, and the duration is awsome. The charging time is a bit long, but it comes in a pack of two, so it doesn't actually matters.

The first one i had the battery compartment broke and one one I know could repair the broken plastic...that was the only bad part of this camera...the photos were just short of professional quality.

I must say I had high hopes for this camera to use at many upcoming events, however it sadly is a big disappointment. I am a loyal customer of Canon so I figured I'm going to give this P&S a shot since it had some decent reviews and looked pretty good (16mp and all and iso control - epic fail). I currently use the Canon XSI for major events such as weddings but sometimes it's hard carrying a large camera around especially when you want to dance and do other things. I was looking for a nice point and shoot camera that would take high quality photos in low light and compact to carry around.This camera is not the way to go, I'm surprised anyone would rate this product higher than 2 stars. I just received this today, took a bunch of photos, tried the video, and the quality is awful. Will be returning this tomorrow. After going to several camera shops i found this camera on the internet. The camera was cheaper and exceeded all my expectations. The photos are very clear and the camera was easy to use.

I purchased this camera in Aug, The lens stuck open and will not retract. I sent it back to Canon and had to pay for that. They say it is rusted and want $117 to repair. It cost $157 with memory card

Good camera, very reliable, and takes very good sharp pictures. The camera is light - lighter than its predecessors and makes it more pleasant to carry on a hiking or sightseeing trip, for example.

I am not an expert with cameras, however, I would have expected more from a US$450+ camera. Having said that, the camera performs well but it could be improved. My screen was damaged after it barely made contact with another surface. Now I can't see anything through the screen. The view-finder is not accurate and it doesn't function well--this was a complete design fail by Canon. Do not expect to use this as a point-and-shoot product, because it is bulky. Moreover, since the camera screen feels very delicate, the camera needs to be protected with a camera bag. The flash does not pop-up automatically (it has a button to eject), and even when it is up, the camera fails to use the flash in some low-light conditions in Auto mode.I have owned more than 6+ Canon cameras in the past and I wouldn't say I love this product.

It is small so it will fit into a jacket pocket. View finder is great for the outside pictures because there is no glare.

Still working great after dropping a couple of times. I use it to take pictures through my birding scope (digiscoping).

It is great for my simple needs, but there are some cons: Next camera I will get one that charges the flash faster.. You have to wait between pictures for flash pics and regular pics too. Definitely not a camera for indoor perfection but it's adequate.

This is the second Canon Powershot camera I've bought, and both have been very good. The zoom range is excellent, as is the image stabilization feature.

We bought this many years ago, and it served us well for a long time. We still use it occasionally. It's a nice little camera!

I enjoy my camera and love the zoom. I showed my sister and she bought one also. It is very easy to use.

It's actually a decent camera and I still use it even though I've had it for 4 or more years. But it just sucks the life out of the batteries so fast. I tried one of the fixes for this that someone had posted on the web, but it didn't help my camera one bit. I still like the camera a lot, but the battery problem costs it 2 stars.

I have mislaid the original charger and was so very pleased to find that I could buy another and so cheap. The supplier, Macro, was an exceptionally friendly company to deal with, pleasant and polite, will definitely shop with them again.

Bought this of rmy mom and she loves it. Great quality. Uses AA batteries which was convenient for her so she didn't have to keep track of a charger. But I did buy her rechargeable batteries so that comment might not be very helpful. Anyway - great image quality for snapshots and album prints. Great for moms and grandma.I carry a Fujifilm X100s for better image quality, but I'm a nerd.

I previously had a canon powershot, I think it was an sx100, or very similar, and I loved it. When it died I wanted to replace it with something as similar as possible and I thought this was it. Unfortunately, they moved some of the control buttons to different places, specifically they switched the on/off button and the shutter and they added some buttons. I find it hard to hold this camera without pushing a button I don't want. There is very little room for fingers.

Great compact camera. Took it on my 3 week ascension to the Land Of Israel. I took many great pictures and it was a pleasure to carry around. I did not want to haul around my regular T3i with all its lenses. This camera was all I needed.I recommend it highly!
