Once again Canon has impressed me. They make fine cameras. My wife took her old camera in for repairs and the repairman said they had never seen a camera actually worn out. She takes lots of pictures

I had a canon sx130is camera before I dropped it and it broke. So, I wanted another one just like, but with some updated features. So, I contacted canon before I purchased this camera and specfically asked if this camera had the color accent option because I really liked that option on the sx 130is. There are many different websites out there and some say it has it and some say it does not. The canon rep that I talked to in VA, reassured me it had the color accent option. So, I bought it. When the camera came in, I tried it out, but I could not figure out how to work the color accent option. So, I contacted canon again. Another rep wrote back and said, sorry, this camera does not have the color accent option. So, I am returning it. The 160 camera is lighter weight than the 130, and does have the i movie option, but overall, I feel it is cheaply made and does not offer as many options as the 130. I think canon missed the boat on this camera. I really wanted an updated camera, but this does not work for me. I hope they bring it back to this series with the new update.

Have charged both camera batteries with this now. Does exactly what it says. Bought another charger elsewhere last year and it was useless, but this one is the biz.

It is easy to use and takes nice pictures. No expensive speciality batteries to buy. It is very durable as I take it everywhere.

I had previously owned another model of PowerShot camera and when it didn't survive after getting run over by a small tractor on a concrete surface I new exactly what I was going to get as a replacement. My hands aren't the steadiest and so I really appreciate the image stabilization. There might be others out there that do a better job but they are in a whole other price range than what I can afford. When I have it tripod mounted the optical zoom works great. There are features that I haven't even got around to exploring yet and I am still impressed with the quality of the shots that I have been able to achieve.

easy to initial set up and now operate. Takes wonderful shots and I am even able to transfer my photos to my computer. I would not classify me as a pro by and standards but I am enjoying trying to learn and easy to try different settings and then pick the "best" from sunsets to full moon shots to some outstanding Fall mountain shots in PA Worlds End area.

Great pics especially with the image stabilization. I use it around the house and also while hiking. A little bigger and heavier than other cameras but you can not beat the quality of the pictures. When we get back from hiking everyone always wants my pictures because they come out so much clearer because of the image stabilization.

I love this camera! It gives a very clear picture and is easy to use. I chose this camera because it was a good price, but would recommend it to my friends and family because it is a good camera.

This camera has a fast 1.8 lens for low light shooting, a viewer for shooting in bright sunshine and a rugged metal case that reminds me of my Leica build quality for half the price.

This English battery charger fitted my camera perfectly as I had purchased the camera in the USA with a American electric fitting.

Very versatile camera. I particularly like the zoom feature, the large screen display, the size and cost of the camera. Good buy!

did not have manual, but was easily found and downloaded. nice little camera. takes excellent pictures without a hitch. good camera.

This is going to be a Christmas present for my grandson, who likes to go camping with his scout troop. He has already tried this model, and liked it because it runs on batteries, it can't be recharged. There is no way to recharge anything when you're not around any electric outlets!

I am an avid underwater photographer and spent two months going back and forth on this camera and the Sony RX 100. I am SO glad I went with the G15. Not only is the overall investment (housing and camera) nearly half of the other option but the results have been splendid! The 1.8 lens is VERY bright and stays so as you zoom out. Which is great for low light photography (i.e., underwater). I have only taken a few macro shots, but have gotten excellent results every time. This was the big difference to me between this camera and the Sony RX 100. The Sony just can not take a macro shot to saves its life. I spent half an hour in a store with both cameras trying to take macro shots of a quarter. The Canon never struggled, while the Sony took attempt after attempt to finally get a decent shot.Happy to see Canon revive the G series!

This is was my first camera in USA and I take nice pics with her. The camera still with me now in Costa Rica, working and also taking nice pics.

Camera arrived and works fine, but no manual was included. Just happened to have ordered one for another family member (from another seller) and it had the manual (but no software).

I have been shooting Canon DSLR's professionally since 2004 (after a 30 year love affair with Nikon.. which let me down for the last time!)
This little P&S makes great images! If I want the overrides one usually has w/a SLR, I have it..... AV, TV, M, "manual" focus, Fill flash,
Exp comp for both existing light & flash.... LOVE IT!!
Occasionally I do get underexposures w/flash, but if noticed, this prob is easily remedied using the flash+/- feature or perhaps by changing the ISO.
Some of the images I have made w/this camera have been good enough to sell. Videos are as expected... fair at BEST. You'll document fun stuff with
this easily, but don't expect anything hi quality. [Buy a REAL video camera for that.... duh...]
The "articulated" or 'rotating' screen was a MAJOR selling feature for me & I use that with nearly 80-90% of my shots.

OVERALL A GREAT, WELL BUILT, WELL DESIGNED & ENGINEERED CAMERA that I have been using for 5-6 years and love!! I wouldn't trade it for anything.

HOWEVER.......................

If some fool is REALLY trying to get $700+ for this.................. LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!
Then find another camera for a fraction of the cost!!!!!!!!!!!
THE SELLER MUST BE ON DRUGS OR ON ANOTHER PLANET TO EVEN THINK ABOUT ASKING THAT KIND OF PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just sayin..............

Way, way better than the lens cap that came with my Cannon Camera. I didn't like the way the strap it came with would have attached to the camera, but I had a different lanyard that I used instead. I love it now. I found the lanyard it came with to be a very poor design - too bad since the cap part is very well designed & made. The lanyard cost it a star.

This was my second digital point and shoot powershot camera.It takes excellent photos on the auto setting but has a variety of other shooting modes to adjust for light, motion, etc and can be used manually. I have had 2 other powershot cameras since; all canon's! Although the pixels and zooms on my newer models are far superior; this camera is still excellent. My husband now uses this as his camera and it takes great shots; even from a nice distance. The main issue with it now is that it doesn't have all the stabilization the new cameras have but in my opinion it is still a worthy camera and if you use a small tripod or a bean bag for balancing you get a great shot.. I love that the view finder can be moved around to get a shot when you are holding the camera up in a crowd or at any other funny angle.If you are a vertically challenged person , it is great to hold the camera over your head and still be able to see what you are shooting! I also like that it works great on 4 AA batteries and has a good battery life. The camera is small, compact and easy to hold. We travel a good deal and it can easily fit into a pocket in a jacket or in a case that straps to your belt. I bought this camera in 2006 and still consider it a very good camera!

Camera seems great-really haven't used it much-the big test will be in April on a Panama Canal Cruise. We have had Canon Products in the past and they have performed very well.

Very happy. Still much to learn about the camera but initial photos look very good indeed. As usual a good price and excellent service from Amazon.

Don't know why this one isn't in production now, it's about my favorite camera. The swing display screen is especially handy, when taking photos by holding the camera up above crowds, or to check what is in the photo for the self timer. Has an optical viewfinder, too, an increasingly rarity among digital cameras now, that is essential if you're taking photos out in bright sunshine, at the beach, or where ever.
Takes great photos, too, easy to use, has lots of options, and doesn't eat up AA batteries.
Glad I got another one when I damaged my first one (my fault, not the camera's).

Easy to use -- small enough to carry easily anywhere -- takes great photos! Only thing you could ask for would maybe be longer battery life!

I have been disappointed with other point and shoot cameras in this price range.
