This is a great camera. I bought this model about 6 years ago. It is phenomenal. So easy to use and so many features. Fantastic Zoom and Macro. Hard to believe you get so much quality for the price. I bought this one used for my son who is just getting into photography.

Having misplaced my charger that came with the camera, I needed a replacement quickly. This arrived very quickly and it worked well. It feels more flimsy than the original but it was a reasonable price and it did the job.

Works fine, but it has a 12v input and there was no plug supplied for this. I have a single Blumax charger and that came with the 12v. lead. But guess what? It doesn't fit the dual charger!

Великолепно

This is a great camera. I really only use it as a point and shoot. It takes great pictures in almost any light. My favorite is taking close up pictures of the moon. The photos show so much detail without a lot of effort on my part. I have enjoyed learning to use this camera and all its features.

Loved this camera. I used it to take pictures while Scuba diving and also videos. The LCD screen finally gave out on it two years ago so I am upgrading. Have to keep the same style because I purchased a Waterproof Housing to Scuba Dive with and it was about $300.

Lens cap does not fit once the lens hood is installed on 16-50mm kit lens for Sony A6000. Hotshoe cover does not fit either for my Sony A6000 ILCE.

I don't have much to say about this model camera except that it is a fantastic piece of machinery. That said, I am (age 73) old film photographer and found the camera very hard to understand. Had a book authored by an outsider, rather than a Canon employee been available, I probably would have a better opinion of this product. The physical size and performance is better than what is available today. I say this because I have tried out the other models such as the Canon Powershot SX50 IS. And Yes the amount of mega-pixels is much more (which really does not mean much because I can make 11x14's and 16x20's from cameras with less than even the 10 MP that this model offers). And the zoom lens is more powerful or has much more magnification in todays models. But what turns me off about "today's" models with their more powerful zoom lenses is that they are hard to hold steady. I notice the sides of the image in the viewfinder seems to "jump" or move around while viewing a subject. The SX 10 is much, much better in this regard. If you can find more Sx10's snap one up you will be pleasantly surprised!

Just OK! It doesn't fit properly on my lens. That is it doesn't fit tightly and can move off center. I am making do but would not purchase this sort of lens hood again.

This item is just okay. The lens hood screws into the lens thread with the provided adapter, which is fine. The lens cap is totally useless, will not attach to the lens hood, very poor design. So it will be attach when needed and then remove, since for $7 I'm not going to return it. Was also not happy with the seller. No shipping info was provided and when requested their response was be patient. After 18 days I finally received the lens hood and that was to go from NJ to ME. Would not buy from this seller again.

I bought this camera on a cruise ship when both my digital camera AND my cell phone died on our first day at sea. I paid a little more, even duty-free, than it costs here, but I'm still happy. We took pictures of our whole week-long vacation with this camera, and most of the pics came out pretty great. We even took it on our snorkeling adventure, and used it to get pics and video of the fish, coral, turtles, and each other, while in the ocean. It is definitely rugged, it pinpoints where you take the pics (you can turn that features off pretty easily), and upload is a breeze (SD card, NO USB). No, it isn't a super-high-quality fancy-shmancy deal, but it certainly gets the job done, and is easy to operate. Neither my husband nor I are any kind of photographer, but we were able to get pretty decent pics in all kinds of conditions- from the night club to our tiny inside cabin, to the beach. And what's more, I feel OK letting my kids grab this camera and take some pics, because I'm not worried they'll break it or mess anything up. It is really rugged. I take it to Water Country USA all the time, the park, the local pool, and out in the snow or rain or whatever, without worrying.Finally, my favorite bonus features is that it has a rechargeable battery. I really hate having to replace camera batteries, or running low just when you leave the house. It's been more than a year since I bought this camera now, and it still holds a good charge. I seldom charge it, but it seems to last a good long time with normal use. Video is a simple button-push, zoom is easy enough for my toddler to figure out, and although I rarely mess with any settings, they're pretty straight-forward when you want to change something.I highly recommend this camera for folks with young kids, anyone going on a cruise or beach vacation, or anybody who just wants a good, reliable camera that can be taken anywhere.

I love my Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I love the pictures I have taken. It has done absolutely incredible close up shots of flower blooms with crystal clear rain drops on the blooms, along with awesome waves breaking using the zoom to bring them in closer. The waves were beautifully crisp and sharp at full zoom. The best ocean shots I have ever had. I have pictures of the kids playing soccer and it is able to catch the players and ball crisp and clear with no blur in the action. And portrait close ups that are wonderful. I have no complaints at all in each of the settings and have been completely happy with it. I use it for my most important pictures while most of my friends have switched over to their cell phone cameras. I am much happier with the quality of the pictures of this camera than with my Samsung Galaxy S3 which is known for its great camera.I have been using this camera for several years now and highly recommend it. It is also very easy to learn to use, and has the options of several pre-settings and also you can use your own settings.

Reliable, and great for people who just want point and shoot. I know there are several features on this camera beyond what I've used already, such as the capacity to add lenses, but it's a deal even without them. The movie feature includes a fairly sensitive mic, there's a red-eye reduction button (you can see it in the picture just below the lens at the bottom left of center) and a setting for very close-up photos that are great especially for taking pictures of flowers or insects .. small things where you want the detail to stand out from everything else in the background.
This is the best camera I have owned.

This is one of the worst cameras my wife has ever bought. Heavy and bulky, poor image quality and a battery cover door that staggers the imagination on its design flaw. The door will break off at any moment, the small plastic lock clips are hardly sufficient to keep the batteries in place and results in low power warnings, camera shut down when these are due to the door not being fully closed.

I have been using one of these cameras at work for a few years now to easily capture close ups and short videos to send via e-mail. It has far better quality than other point and shoot cameras I have used. I found one listed on Amazon for $59.00 and bought it. It is in great condition and I'm very happy with it.

I had to replace my factory cap, on my camera, because one of the clips broke and the cap would no longer stay on the lens. This cap fit perfectly. I am very pleased with this product.

Works well. But read: The purchase was intended for Makerbot, which only support up to 2GB and in the format of FAT16. - The cards individually came as 4GB so it was necessary to format the cards so that they match the two criteria. - Many SD cards give a read error or does not work properly. - But so far, they have good read/write and is dependable for successful prints.

The charger was bought to charge the battery independently of my Lumix TZ70. The charger performs what it is designed to do. It came promptly and with all as described. A good buy as I can use my camera while charging a spare battery.

Great package. Charger allows home and mobile hookup, and two extra batteries means you can be powered and ready to go all day long if necessary. Very helpful for vacations and trips when you don't want to miss that fantastic photo opportunity and might only be able to recharge while driving.

This is my second PowerShot A450. I received the first one as a gift (recommended by someone who knows a lot about cameras) several years ago. Lost it on a trip. Wanted another one because I liked the camera and I have an underwater housing for it. Shipping was very fast and the camera was in great condition and came with all of the brochures and accessories. The trick to finding long lasting quality batteries for your camcorder/camera, is to find the highest possible capacity (mAh), this one is very hihigh, and this battery would be suitable for long/day shoots. Highly recommended item/seller. A++++

camera side. it's spectacular. smooth and solid.

lens side. brutal. i hate unmounting and mounting the lens. it makes me grit my teeth because the adapters mount digs into the back side of the minolta lens..

if your buying this. buy it for each of your md lenses and keep it mounted.

Really good camera, excellent zoom and great quality pictures, however the battery life is appalling!!! During a four day trip it used up 6 batteries. What am i doing wrong? No-one else seems to have had the same problem so i don't know what the issue is

It has been suprisingly difficult to find a Minolta MD lens to Sony E-mount camera adapter that actually works. But this one does, and it is the least expensive of the 3 brands I have tested. I tried the Fotasy brand, but the MD lens would not mount onto the adapter. I tried the FotodioX brand, but the adapter would not mount to the camera. This Neewer (labeled FOTGA) adapter seems well made, and there is no slop between lens and adapter, or between adapter and camera.

I bought this 5 yrs ago. Takes good pictures. Zoom is not powerful enough. Horrible battery life. I need a camera for an upcoming trip and will be sticking with my Galaxy phone. Most of today's cell phones will be better than $100 cameras of today.

First of all DON'T pay $600 for this camera. It's been LONG out of production. It was fine in its day (and a lot cheaper) but for six hundred bucks you can get a digital camera many times more sophisticated then the A620. That being said, this is a great little camera. I traveled all over the world in 2006 with this camera and it took great pictures. They were bright, colorful, and had fine resolution. It uses 4 AA batteries found everywhere and slips easily into a pants pocket or fanny pack. It has a fine variety of easily assessed features. You can find a serviceable used one these days for under $100.

This is not a Lenmar Battery- it's an inferior Kastar replacement. The item description lists Lenmar and the Canon cameras it's compatible with, NOT Kastar! I'd recently purchased the same Kastar battery and certainly didn't want to repeat that mistake. It's small capacity renders almost useless! Shame on you Kastar for your sneaky ad!

Many of these adapters are having a hard time fitting properly on the a7ii and a7s because these newer models have new metal mounts instead of the old plastic ones on the a7 and a7r. I originally purchased a Fotasy adapter, and you could not turn it to lock. I even tried filing that adapter in various ways.

This Neewer (branded FOTGA) adapter that I received locked on smoothly, and it was cheaper. I've read that others have had trouble with this adapter on the a7s, so maybe every brand just has a few bad eggs..?

Ordered expedited shipping because I needed new memory cards ASAP for my old camera because I was going on vacation. The cards which arrived were a different brand than listed (not "Transcend") and would not work in my Canon Powershot A530 camera. I have never otherwise had a problem so long as the cards were SD 2 GB. Extremely disappointing.

I have owned this camera for over 7 years now and it has never let me down. Back in 2007, you didn't have a lot of options for hybrid camera/video recorder. There were a couple, but the megapixels were low or it had slow shutter speed. I was very lucky though, at CES in 2006 Canon came out with the TX1.

Here is the killer features folks, Optical Zoom and 720P. This baby has 10x Optical Zoom. Which was huge back then for a hybrid. In addition it has 7.1MP and records in 720P. The lens tucks itself back in and has a little shutter and its all automatic. Even has a standby power program in case you left it running. Software wise it works very well, easy to navigate the LCD. Finally, when your all done it can fit in your pocket. The camera is a little larger than a pack of cigarettes or playing cards, whichever you prefer.

The only drawback to all that glory is storage. At the time I had to keep a laptop nearby to offload video and pictures each day. Even though I was using two 8GB SDHC cards. When recording video, it literally ate through 1GB or so every 15 min.

Flash forward to 2014 and my TX1 has gone to many places. Multiple States, Australia, and recently South Africa on Safari.

Takes great picture.
Its made of metal and not cheap weak plastic like others.

Make sure to turn on 'take picture with out lense' on Nex6 to use manual lense.
