I like cameras, my every day camera is a nikon, I use to take it for birds and landscape pix, but when I saw this G15 model I thoungh this was the camera I was waitting for: like the vintage but electronic.

This is a replacement for the sam camera I had that stopped working after 5-6 years of use. Easy to use and takes very good pictures. I was happy to find this used camera online. I especially like the eye piece and the use of AA batteries.

I would prefer a view finder......I had a hard time focusing.......way too long to charge the flash//////was missing all my great shots of the grandchildren waiting for it to charge........I returned it for a different camera

Takes excellent pictures and videos just using the standard "auto" setup. I hope I can learn how to use just 25% of its features. For a point and shoot, it has the right size and ALL the advanced features.

I only dapple in the world of photography, and was looking for a camera that was easy to use but would take great photos and videos. I was going on a major trip abroad for the first time, so I made the investment. Easy to carry around and I have hundreds of beautiful photos and videos so far.

Easy to pack for hiking and takes awesome pictures. The zoom does a very good job for a "pack around" camera.

HDI also brings cable, or a cable to transfer files to the computer, a very poor packaging and if the box falls, breaks the camera

I liked it as soon as I hefted it; great, solid feel. Controls are convenient and fit my small hands fine. I especially llike the range of adjustmentsl though surprised that it has fewer scene settings than my older camera. The method for attaching filters is a joke; you have to put a tube over the lens, so the tube has to extend out further than the lens at maximum zoom, which means with it on you can't put the camera into its case. I would also prefer to have an electronic viewfinder instead of the optical one as I use this camera almost exclusively outside in bright light and thus don't use the screen much. The EVF would give me the info on the screen and also be more accurate framing than the optical viewfinder. Picture qualtiy is excellent for something not a full fledged SLR,

One of the most unusual cameras I've ever owned, hangs around your neck, flips open yet it's a great little camera, pics are nice. Great conversation piece. Just fun to use.

I purchased this camera with my gift card. So far I love it. I own several compact digital camera's and think this one will probably be my favorite. The size is great. I love the focus lens an touch screen is awesome. The flip screen has so far been great too.

I have had this camera for 5 or so years now, it's ok. VERY SLOW between pictures. For the money i don't think it's worth it but is very easy to use and user friendly. I have just recently bought a new canon t3 and wish i would have not waited so many years to make the upgrade. I do still use this camera on occasion when i don't want to risk the good one being ruined or stolen, but every time i do use the powershot it doesn't take me long to figure out why i don't like it. If you have kids and need pictures in an instant, this is NOT the camera for you.

Recent commments on this camera are dated 2007 so that's how old this camera is. This Canon Powershot SX100IS camera has been updated four times, the SX110, SX120, SX130, and SX150, since 2007, and all of them cost under $150 while this outdated camera is selling for $835.64, and that makes absolutely no sense at all. The technology got better with each update and now the SX150IS has 12x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom and 14.1 Megapixels, not to mention just about everything that was updated also.
I hope no one ever goes for this SX100IS thinking it is the better SX camera just because it costs more. It was a good camera in it's day, but it just got better with each update. I would, however, based on my recent research for a new camera, suggest the SX130IS over the SX150IS for various reasons I won't go into here except to say the overall reviews for the SX150IS haven't been as good as the sx130IS. (there is not SX140IS) Want to save a few bucks, the SX110IS and the SX120IS are also very good cameras. I am shopping for a new camera only because my 110 got dropped and broken. I bought the 120 yesterday and I like it fine, but I think for just a few bucks I'm going to return it for the 130.
I sometimes wonder what Amazon is thinking when they set their prices. All of the above mentioned SX cameras are priced better here than almost anywhere else, and Amazon includes free shipping at the moment. And there are a whole lot of really great cameras, Canon and otherwise, priced way below the Powershot SX100IS. This price is ludirous, unless someone knows something I don't know, and that I'd be glad to hear about.

This was my second digital camera by this manufacturer because I was so satisfied with the first one. So far I have only used it just enough to become familiar with it so I cannot elaborate at this time. It is very well made and it looks and feels very smart. I'm impressed with the optical zoom capabilities, especially the image stabilization feature. I will know more after I have gone on vacation later this month. I am sure that I will be very satisfied.

If you're looking for a camera that actually works, this one isn't it. I bought this camera for my girlfriend for Christmas and we went to use it, put the batteries in and within 10 minutes the batteries were dead. I figured, okay, just some bad "included" batteries, but when I put my own rechargeable batteries in the camera for her, they died within minutes as well.It seems that I'm not the only one with this problem.I'm outside my return window, but am returning this piece of crap anyway.

Nice pictures, inexpensive camera. The only issue is at times it takes awhile to autofocus. But it is a great camera. Have taken a lot of great pictures of puppies and they come out great.

It was exactly as I expected it to be. It was more or less love at first sight and I would recommend it for those wanting a nice camera not too pricey, with good quality (just in my personal opinion)

Had a lens cap but somehow lost it and was left with the "leash" only. Ordered this from The Camera Hunter via Amazon and I received it in 2 days! Fits as it should, and leash is tied on rather that attached with a sticky dot. I am very happy with my purchase.

This camera lens cap is better than the one that came with the camera. The original one didn't have a strap.
