This is my 4th Canon camera. I use it for work related pictures when I travel. It takes great pictures. Nice compact size. Lots of easy to use features. I'm particularly impressed with the quality of pictures it takes under low light conditions & close-ups.I strongly recommend this camera for any serious photographer.

I have been using a Canon G7 since 2005. Loved it, took well over a thousand pictures, good zoom, good resolution, good color The camera produced some unbelievably good results. I was very happy to see the release of the G15 with its specs and features. The G15 was a complete disappointment.Almost from the first time I turned it on the lens refused to retract and it gave the "lens error" message. This was the result almost 50% of the times I tried to shut it down. After much frustration I searched on the net and found that Canon has this problem with other cameras, mainly the S100. The net was full of horror stories about Canons refusal to fix or recall the camera. I understand that just recently, after years of net bashing, Canon has agreed to repair all S100s regardless of age.After reading the suggestions on the net I checked my G15 and when the lens is extended the lens barrels are actually loose to the touch. They can be gently moved up or down a slight amount. My old G7 is tight with no movement.My opinion is that it is a lack of quality control somewhere in Canon's manufacturing process. Therefore any replacement could have the same defect or it could develop a year or two later after it is out of warranty. I returned the G15 and am looking for a substitute brand.I would not buy this camera and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We bought this camera 3 years ago due to the rave reviews, and the reviews were right about everything! So what's the problem you ask? Reliability. The camera is now dead after a little less then 3 years. It never got wet or dropped etc. We bought a Canon because we have 2 other Canon cameras, a old 35mm Eos Elan, and a digital film movie camera which all have worked flawlessly, but not this one.
Our first problem with this camera developed about 8 months after we got it, Canon warrantied the camera and that one has worked until now, of course now it's out of warranty. The lens and zoom mechanical's still work but the display only shows numbers and icons but no picture-the screen is black except for that other stuff, and it won't take a picture. I find it odd that my two other cameras with loads of mechanical stuff going on inside and they still work but a camera with nothing in the way of mechanical parts except the lens failed. If anything this camera should last longer then all the others!
It's those cheesy electronics coming out of China that are failing.

This review highlights Canon and with but minor comments on the camera. I own and have owned a number of Canon cameras and have been satisfied that these products were worth the their cost. That is until now and the lack is for Canon's performance and not the camera. For example, Canon requires a USB Cable (Camera end Mini-B but does not supply one - however they do offer it as an accessory for sale!) according to the supplied Getting Started booklet to upload their software, which includes the User Guide in PDF format (a printed User's Guide is not provided OR offered). Once the cable is acquired and the upload is begun the computer screen has the option to not connect the camera to the computer to upload the software. Supplying the required cable OR sentence in the Getting Started booklet solves this problem. Also, the User's Guide explains how to implement various functions (e.g., setting "Scene options" or "P Mode" options) but does not include how to cancel these selections - this takes experimentation on the users part - and time is money. In summary, I anticipate the Canon PowerShot G15 will perform up to my expectations but at a cost that was unanticipated nor necessary. I was always taught; "Make buying and operating EASY for the customer!". Canon has seemed to ignored this truth!

this baby takes beautiful photos . delivery was fast and the price was right . it took me some time to get used to seting the picture up with the screen as it does not have a view finder . easy to use , even with all the functions .

Small but not too small. Photos are sharp and are easily composed and exposed using the easy-to-use controls. Quality of the product and visual appeal are both top-notch!

a620 produces good pictures. its viewfinder helps with exact focusing. Its has several features which when mastered makes the camera very versatile and handy. However it lacks image stabilization resulting at times in fuzzy or blur shots especially night shots

It worked beautifully during my snorkling trip in Jamaica. The photos came out bright and clear! It held up when I banged it against rocks while swimming.. even my 8 year old niece enjoyed using it!It does sink, and fast, so I suggest making sure the strap is snug on your wrist. I also suggest practicing using it in the tub so you can get used to the settings and know what's best to use.

I have owned a Canon SX110ls for about four years and I paid approx $240.00 for it. It finally started having trouble witha line being on every picture and it was time for an upgrade. That camera did everything I asked it to do. Thousands ofpictures taken and many videos. The SX160ls has more optical zoom, more mega pixels and HD. It is a bit thinner than the110 and a bit longer. Its fits better in my cannon camera case than the 110 did. Did not have to buy a case. Best of all Iget all this, and it cost approx $100.00 less than the 110 did four years ago. Also, my rechargeable AA batteries and batterycharger all work with the SX160. What a deal. I give it 5 stars.

I love this camera, it takes excellent pictures with a great zoom, and they blow up really well, for reproduction. I even managed to catch a humming bird (OK, it was sitting on a cactus at the time!) whilst on a recent trip to California.
And the red colour certainly helps it stand out!

This camera is small, convenient, and does everything well. The pictures are outstanding. The user's manual could have been written better, though.

There are 2 amazing features on this camera. 1: the touch screen allows for easy breezy photo taking, and 2: the creative mode feature. With this one shot creates 6 very different & unique pictures.

Great price for a camera but disappointed by the slow shutter speed - wouldn't recommend it - you'll end up with a lot of pictures of missed moments

We returned this camera because the photos were not sharp and the colors did not look right. We replaced it with a Nikon L820 which cost a little more but produced a much sharper, better quality picture.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this little camera. I own several DSLR (both Canon and Nikon) but I wanted something small that I could fit in my pocket when I go places with the kids and I don't want the hassle of lugging along one of my big cameras. The picture quality is pretty good and the camera itself feels very well made and is fun to use. I seem to prefer the touch screen shutter function as opposed to using the shutter ring around the lens. The only thing that could use some improvement is the WiFi connectivity to a your smart phone. The initial setup can be a bit confusing and takes a little time to do. Overall though this is a nice little camera to take along to places where a larger camera would be a hassle.

I am truly smitten with this PowerShot N. Even though I own an expensive DSLR, I find myself taking 99% of my photos with my iPhone 5. The only thing I am not enthralled with on my iPhone is the digital zoom. In walks the PowerShot N with optical zoom, wifi connectivity with my iPhone and I am in love with the combo! The "N" is small enough to go into a pocket, starts up rapidly, the zoom is easy to manipulate, the touch screen is responsive and the wifi transfer with the Canon iPhone app is effortless. I am not yet in love with the Creative Mode, I find them to be odd at best but it does not lessen my adoration with this camera. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting that extra "horsepower" when they are out shooting but may not want to take their DSLR.

I bought this for my wife to replace her first Canon camera from 2003. She loves this camera and uses it far more than her last camera. She is not technically savvy, but uses this camera with ease.

Purchase This To Replace The Original That I Lost Whilst On Holiday. Seems To Work OK But I Am A Bit Worried That It And The Battery Do Get Very Hot When In Use As The Cannon Original Did Not.

It was good after I had to buy a usb cable for it should tell people that it just comes with camera no disc or usb but it works now and good pics.
