This is my second WIFI printer. I also have a Dell P703W. This one is smarter, and I can see, will stay cleaner. Easy maintenance. A great price for the way it is made. I hope the inks last? SW Well i'm using this Printer. And I will tell you, if you need a printer? This will be a good experience for you. A great Printer!! This is an update! SW.

I sure wish I had read these reviews before I bought this printer. I know for a fact that every time it sounds like it's charging or whatever, it is spilling ink onto that pad that's inside. I had to quit using it because it had about a 1 inch black wet line running down the page, the paper would fall apart it was so wet. Then I would tell it to print like 3 pages and the black wet line faded some, but it was still huge and dark and unusable, then when it finished printing the 3 pages it would do it's little charge thing (aka drinking ink) then the first page I would print would have this sopping wet 1-inch line going down the middle. On top of that, Canon told me all I had to do was take it into their nearest shop and they would put a printhead in for me. Well, I've done that before on a previous Canon printer. This place is 100 miles from my house, one way! I had to take it up there and they refused to even mail it back to me. I told the tech if all it needed was a printhead then I'll buy a new printhead and put it in myself. Ok, I spent $75.00 on a printhead and it didn't make a bit of difference and I couldn't return it, because I had opened the box! (anybody want to buy a cheap printhead?) So then I thought instead of chunking it I would use it as a scanner or fax machine, HA that was a joke too, when the ink ran out (mysteriously evaporated, cause I wasn't printing anything), it locked up the whole machine! I tried to fool the thing by filling an ink tank with water, that didn't work. So since I had 5 unused Canon ink cartridges on hand (all black) I opened all of those brand new expensive ink cartridges and put them in and this thing KNEW they were not the right colors and it continues to be locked up. Another thing, don't think you can try generic ink cartridges either, it knows they are generic and won't print! I've had it, now it's going to the garbage dump. I'll never buy another Canon, 1st time shame on Canon, 2nd time shame on me! :(

I am just a normal printer user, I am not high-tech and I do not have high expectations of a printer, other than it prints quickly and with good quality. This printer looks very nice and was super easy to set up, I just followed the owner manual, except for connecting to my wireless router. The instructions were a little confusing, but when I just followed on the on-screen instructions, it was easy. It took me a total of 40 minutes to set it up and that included 10 minutes taking it out of the box and taking all the tape off of it and 25 minutes to put the CD in my computer and hit "start" and then just watch it it download. I am very happy with my purchase. I haven't used any of the bells or whistles, but for my purposes, I am thrilled. I highly recommend, especially at the great price I got it - $79. I would pay up to $100 for this.

This is my third Canon printer. The first two acquired the "Canon Printer Disease"-The ink reservoir was full, so the printers were discarded. This problem usually occurs within 15 months. This third printer, the Canon MP495, is the worst of the three. It's slow and noisy. It clanks and grinds for a while before it prints. I would buy another Canon, but not this model.

Bought this printer based on the 4.5 stars reviews. The printer is very well packaged, because of that it takes longer than I had liked to take all the plastic and orange tape off that keeps moving parts from moving (make sure you remove all tape from inside the printer as well). Installation of the printing head and ink cartridges was pretty easy, but a steady hand is necessary when installing the printing head. The wi-fi set up was tedious and lenghty but flawless and the same goes for the software installation. Overall everything went well and the printer worked right away. The printouts are of very good quality, with no banding, bluriness, streaks, blotches and/or misalignments.the printer and software are pretty easy to use and straightforward enough to get the hang of it quickly. Internet explorer seems to be quirky at printing and the website image must, at times, be scaled in the preview printing option of IE before sending it to the printer. The memory card is slow to be recognized by the software mainly because of a quirky windows os (slow driver activation). Also the wi-fi works perfect with no glitches. Now regarding the printer itself: It is fast but noisier and clunkier than I would have liked, also the build quality is ok but not great, it tends to be a little flimsier than I would have liked and way too much plastic, however it does not look cheap. Warm up time before printing is, at times, longer than it should be. This is a large sized somewhat heavy printer, just keep that in mind. Overall: GOOD!

Canon Pixma MX350 is a great all-in-one printer at a decent price (less than $100 when I bought it in February 2011). The wireless feature (which I absolutely love) is super easy to set up if you already have a router. Print quality is very good for typical home use.

Printer works great for 1 HP wireless lap top, but we could not get our second HP lap top to be recognized unless we took the first one off line. I had someone very knowledgeable in computers look at it and he could not get it to work for both computers either. Now we will have 2 printers sitting next to each other and it is just annoying.

After reading all the reviews I could find on line and deciding to take a chance, the price was right at Amazon, $49 S&H included, I was prepared for a difficult set up, not to be, it was much easier than expected. Just pop the set up CD in the drive, DO NOT PLUG THE USB CABLE IN UNTIL PROMPTED! I did a cable set up on my desktop first, after finishing I proceeded to do the WIFI install on my laptop, unplugged the USB cable from my desktop, popped the install CD in the laptop, chose the network installation option, when prompted plugged the USB cable in, my router detects the printer, it asks me for the share key, after I do so the WIFI light comes on the side of the printer then it prompts me to unplug the cable, done deal. I wouldn't recommend this printer if you do a lot of printing as the two ink cartridges, that's right, one color one black, could cost you up to $40 to replace, but for light home printing it's perfect.

Got this a month ago. Setting up was easy following the CD provided. The wireless feature is awesome allowing me to printer anywhere in the house. The unit is compact and printing speed is fast. Except for the fax function, it does the copy, scan and print well for the reasonable price. Great for student and home use. I had HP product all along, when my officeject finally deceased after 9 years, I want to try another brand. The printer cartriges is cheaper as compare to HP. Overall I am happy with my new Cannon.

I'm no printer guru by any means. I just needed a multifunctional printer/scanner for home office use. I picked this one after reading the reviews. It's a sharp looking unit. I was able to set it up by myself (having never done it before - altho I didn't set up the fax b/c I have no need for it). After removing all the tape from the exterior, I plugged it in and wondered why it wasn't working. Duh. There was more tape to remove on the INSIDE. So don't make the same mistake I did.

This is a great printer, especially for the price. It is replacing an HP Deskjet that simply quit with less than 1 year's use. The Canon is quiet, easy to use, well made and all of its buttons are easy to read and access. One of the things that makes me so happy is the detailed and easy-to-use manual. Everything is covered; no need to go online to ferret out information. There are detailed pictures of every port and slot, exploded views of small items, pictures of front, back, sides, and insides. The setup was simple. It set up on my iMac without a hitch and needed no downloads from Canon to do so.I have scanned a document that I had previously scanned with the HP (using the same settings) and the quality difference is amazing.What a buy!

I bought this product at best buy in 2009 and it's the best printer I've owned. Fast setup and easy to operate. As the cost is low I was able to afford to purchase one for a friend as well. We've both had them now for over 2 years and it has not failed us yet. I am very pleased with the operation and results.

I don't think I've had such a slow printer since the 80's. Hit "Print" and the printer needs a good 90 seconds to go through the motions to print a simple b/w document. What's going on in there--it's pretty noisy. Photos are just okay, nothing to put in a frame or a scrapbook. When the warning light comes on about low-ink, chances are you have 100 pages worth of printing left. Don't bother to change inks until you see the result on the paper.

Only one drawback. Since I got rid of my old telephone landline and switched to cable for telephone service, the cable modem is not in the room with the printer, so I have to think of a way to use the FAX. FAX is old-fashioned, but occasionally I do have to fax something and I don't have a telephone line to plug into the printer. I guess I'll worry about that when it comes up. Otherwise, a great product and the wireless setup was easy.

I have always been a huge fan of HP printers. I've never had anything else. However, my last 2 were not so great and my latest HP was horrible. I never printed on line and I had to hand feed the paper and hold it. It was a nightmare. So I decided to branch out. I got this printer. All I can say . . . I'm in love. This thing is amazing!I can actually print from my laptop in my kitchen and my printer is 2 rooms away in my office. My other printer was supposed to be able to do that too but it never worked and I finally gave up after trying too hard. This was easy to set up and worked immediately!I prints perfectly, nothing is ever off (lines are correct, never off center,etc.) and I can't say anything negative. I work from home and print quite a few things from regular documents to photo ID cards for my clients (the name ID badges you wear around your neck)to photos, envelopes, etc. They have all come out perfectly.I highly recommend this printer, it is so worth the amount you pay, plus some! The only downside, if there is one . . . it's black and collects dust really badly. But that shouldn't matter when you see how great it performs!

As a notably non-tech person I was a little leery of trying to set this printer/scanner/photocopier/fax machine up by myself. First off, let me say I own a Mac Powerbook, and while I can troubleshoot a few minor things even the thought of trying to navigate my way through a technical manual can induce hives. As I worked my way through the pages, illustration-by-illustration, I found it went surprisingly smoothly.Having illustrations to accompany the instructions ensured that I could coordinate the effort between written instructions and what I saw. What was particularly nice was that the manual did not talk down to me, nor did it talk above me. Instead it provided the necessary information in a clear, clean manner that make hooking up the printer a straightforward process. The whole process went so smoothly that it took me less than a half hour from beginning to end--and that included both the time the software needed to install itself and the time I spent registering. Amazing!As for its ability to do what it says, well, all I can say is: Fantastic!First, I printed out a page of text, and it is beautiful! Clear, clean, sharp, dark. Next, I scanned an antique bookmark and it came out with all its colors looking rich and vibrant. Then I printed a photograph using the sample of 4x6 photo paper Canon enclosed with the printer, and it too turned out a glossy and stunning image. And finally, I copied a page just to test that out, and the copy proved to be an excellent reproduction. And faxing was just as easy and simple.In my view, Canon earns very high marks, five stars in fact, for making such a high-quality machine for a very reasonable price and developing a manual so clear and easy that even I breezed through it.

Bought this for my daughter (dorm room use, freshman year of college). Hasn't received a lot of use - doesn't print every day and she has had it since September (this is the second unit). First one began not loading paper (began trying to pull it in at an odd angle). I looked it over as best I could and even though I could see the main ruber wheel/cog and plastc moveable guides at bottom, I was never able to ascertain why it failed. I bought another for her because she already had the drivers installed and was familiar with it's operation. This time, however, I purchased a 2-year all inclusive (drop/spills, etc) warranty from Square Trade for 11.99. I did not feel it was worth the time/effort to attempt repair or sending back to the factory for price paid. Print quality is fine....reliability is an issue, and ink useage is a bit high. There are larger/extended print catridges available and I highly recommend them. Overall...a bit disappointed.

I have been wanting to replace an old scanner and printer for years. I don't do a lot of printing but when I do I would like it to look good. So far the print text from this printer, in my opinion, looks great. No smudging or lines. I have done a good dozen pictures of varying sizes and different papers and they all look good. I have also scanned several hundred pictures with this. The scanning software lets you put multiple images onto the bed and it will separate them, as long as they are physically separated, to me this was a big time saver. The scans seemed good but dust was a problem, this is more a matter of ols pictures and old house than with the scanner.Cons: The one problem I had was in installing the wireless password into the printer, what a pain. Liking my passwords long and complicated it took a bit of time of rolling the nob back and forth to get the password put in. I am not sure short of a keypad that could make this faster but it was a pain. Other than that I just let it sit and when I need it it works.For the money I am very pleased.

I purchased this printer to replace the Canon MP 530 which had suddenly stopped working (lightening?).The MX 882 was surprisingly easy to set up, the print quality is great, even for photos (as long as you remember to enter which type paper you are using. The Fax is easy to use for sending, I've not yet tried the receive mode.

I received this printer last Chistmas and a year later, I still love it! I'm a scrapbooker so photo prints are VERY important to me. I love the quality of the photos that the printer creates. WiFi was an absolute breeze to set up! I actually spend less on ink now because I only replace the inks that are empty, as opposed to replacing a cartridge with multiple colors. I previously owned a Kodak printer that was completely unreliable and actually cost WAY more in ink than my Cannon does. All in all, I'm very satisfied. I would love to see Cannon come out with a truly affordable wide format printer. Get this printer, you won't be disappointed.

This printer is bigger than my previous Dell. It takes up more space, stands higher on the desk. The print quality is excellent. It is fast and exact. I did have to play with it the first time I made labels, but they turned out perfect. The copier feature is excellent. I have not used the fax feature yet. It was very easy to install. I've had it about a month and use it in my home office every day. I would highly recommend it.

Very happy with my purchase. It was easy to put together and easy to hook up. I've only used it a handful of times and it has performed excellently each time. I do not use it as a fax since I haven't had a landline in over a decade. I LOVE that it prints double-sided as I am NOT a paper person and spare as few sheets as possible. I have yet to try it as a photo printer, but will amend my review when and if I do.

I recently had to replace my 10 year old HP and decided to try Canon. Had researched it and liked the reviews. I've only had it about 3 weeks but I am pleased with the quality and performance to date. The only drawback so far is it goes through the color print cartridges extremely fast. I've already had to replace one and this will probably be my only complaint(since my old HP would print hundreds of color pages before I had to replace the cartridge).

We recycled our fax, photo printer, laser printer, and scanner with this one machine, and also gained wireless printing, duplex printing/scanning, and an auto document feeder. Very happy with the speed. We fed in some school applications into the feeder, set duplex scanning on the computer app, and had it generate a pdf saved in our computers documents folder. Very nice.There is an app on the iPhone/iPad that allows you to send pictures to the printer as well, but it does not seem to support printing email or documents yet. The cost per page will be more than our laser printer (4.7 vs. 2.4 for text prints), but the new functionality is worth the increase in per page cost. Less happy with Amazon, we ordered it Jan 11, had to cancel and got a better deal at local stores offering $50 trade in for old printer.

Hardware: 1 macbook (intel, snow leopard), 1 pc laptop (win 7), linksys wrt54g router, time warner cable 10mbps internetI bought this printer based on the reviews on Amazon and other sites. I usually buy HP printers, but this canon had excellent reviews and I figured what the heck?I really dont understand why some people are having difficulty with installation on a mac? My guess is that they do not read reviews/directions/ or are just dumb. The only reason I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that its a little bit bigger than I expected...minor issue...plus I am conservative with my stars! lolLet me make it really easy for you:1) Always download drivers directly from the manufacturer's website....as they will always be up to date2) install drivers and software for your version (for ex: my osx 10.6 and my gf's win 7 x64)3) follow printer setup a) plug in outlet b) set language c)install cartridges4) setup wifi with easy setup a) choose ssid (network name) b) put in password5) add printer on mac (windows 7 picked it up during driver installation)PRINT!Spool time is NOT slow, unless maybe you are on really slow dsl ???? I printed my resume as a test (1 page) and it printed in less than 25 seconds from across the room. I dont plan on printing pics on this thing and if I do I would expect a good quality picture (5mb) to take longer to print...duhhhh!!I hope this review puts to rest any doubts about installation on mac's. BTW, I did read a reviewer who said he had to UNINSTALL PARALLELS before installing the drivers. I had parallels installed (hardly use it) and I didnt want to have any potential troubles, so I DID indeed uninstall before installation. Drivers were updated on the website though so maybe its not a problem anymore??? if it ever indeed was.

This printer will not print in black & white without using the other color cartridges. This printer is completely worthless if the color runs out. We have had this printer for about 9 months now and have decided to never use a canon printer again. I was satisfied about the quality of prints that would come out when the cartridges are full but this does not make up for the wasted color ink cartridges used up when all I wanted was a black and white.What was even more odd is when the color cartridges run out the printer just freaks out and nothing works, will not stay connected to the network, and scan or copy will not work. When this has all cartridges full it works amazingly.

Easy set-up; installation of print head and ink catridges was relatively intuitive although the documentation was a little convoluted (trying to support many languages). Wireless connectivity was a snap and able to scan and print within minutes after installing the ink. Only minor downside I noted what the when printing images - seemed to saturate standard paper - probably prefers photo quality for images. All in all a good value.

First the good news, it is well made and I like the Canon brand, features, ease of use, print & scan quality are all great.However we have ended up paying for it many times over in ink. If set to print in black only it seems normal to expect it to use just black ink, and that is why the low rating. Even if you print Black only it uses up the color inks so that about every four months they have to be replaced. Calls to Canon support have been meaningless beyond explaining it is done to keep the jets clean. One tech said leave it on all the time and it will use less ink, the next says just the opposite. Regardless of what we do it continues to use up all the inks. We have printed color maybe five times, so why buy color, simple a black only all in one unit was not available.

I bought this printer to replace my aging Epson R200. I liked the idea of having an all-in-one at a very low cost. But after receiving this, I realized my mistake for falling for #1 on Amazon's top seller ranking (for all-in-ones). It took me two attempts to install the printer. The print job would not complete, when I tried using the wireless. Then, connected the printer to my laptop using the USB cable. The printer would have to be installed every time as additional copies when I tried to connect. Not so much luck with scanning either (because the printer would not connect to the wireless network easily). Copying was OK, but there is no separate button for copy which I quite did not appreciate.I tried to print after several restarts of my laptop thinking that this could be an installation problem -but no luck. So, I ended up returning the unit to Amazon. Verdict: Save yourself some time and pain by staying away from this printer.

We do like the wireless printing feature..or I should say my husband does, my laptop wouldn't connect wirelessly but my laptop is right next to the printer and is connected via usb. Print speed seems a little slower and the ink cartridges are smaller than my old MP830. The biggest difference is scanning speed from the document feeder. It is ridiculously slow. It can take up to 5 minutes to scan 10 pages. I don't know if it is a software issue or not.If my MP830 had not broken (it was repairable, but I couldn't wait to have it repaired...I need a printer daily for out business) I would still be using it.

I have had this item for 6 months now. It replaces an old Canon inkjet.I like the printer; especially the wireless property and the scanning capability. Was easy to set up. Print quality, both black and color I feel are excellent. Speed is also very good. There is always the seemingly endless cleaning (with this and my old Canon) before a page actually prints. The new model does it quicker, even with an extra ink cartridge. This is probably my fault: I print so seldom that I turn the printer off between uses to save energy. Leaving it on seems avoid a lot of the testing/cleaning cycle.HOWEVER, BEWARE THAT INK CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT COST IS A RIP OFF. OVER $50 A SET.The set of replacement cartridges is more than HALF the price I off the printer and the original inks. There is a separate black cartridge for text documents and I think I got about 250 pages from that before I had to pay $13.49 for the replacement. Now the colors are empty and I don't think I printed but a dozen 4x6 color photos plus a dozen web pages that included color. As with my previous Canon, the ink disappears whether used or not. $41.30 for the replacement set!! I'm considering buying cheaper 3rd party cartridges but will probably not. I tried alternative inks on my old printer and I believe they contributed to the demise of that unit.

This surely not the best printer I have owned, but I can say it does a decent job. I will list my observations below :Pros :1) Easy to use scan, print, copy like most printers.2) Printing at decent pace.3) Option to save scanned images in pdf as well as regular image files is ofter very handy.Cons :1) Color printing is not accurate, as other reviewers have said.2) Software bundled with the printer could have been better.3) Need to read manual for installation. Ideally, just running the CD should guide you through the process.4) Weird way to install cartridges . Could have been a lot simpler. I don't like reading the manual for simple stuff.5) Expensive INK !

When my Canon PIXMA 1800 died, right after installing two new cartridges of course, I set out to find an inexpensive inkjet printer for home use. We don't print much - some banking, letters, a couple cards - but far from heavy use. The iP2702 gets the job done though somewhat loudly. It clanks and clunks but prints fairly quick and cleanly. I use Win 7 - 64 bit and it was easy to install, no glitches at all.I'd say it's fair value for the money.

Ужасно

I bought this printer and went through THIRTY B&W document prints and it was out of ink. Then it stopped loading paper. It was a total waste of money. I did however have a hoot smashing it with a baseball bat just like the movie Office Space. It was very cathartic! Thanks Canon!

Плохо

The print quality is good but the speed is very slow. It took me 5 minutes to scan one page which is not ideal. Print speed is OK but I have used faster machines from HP. I haven't used the copy function till now, but will update this review once I use it.

This printer is a good printer for the money. The wireless software took a little tinkering with a Mac, but it does work. Printer quality is good with documents, but I have not tried printing any photos. Scanner quality is acceptable, but a little slow. But again, a wireless all-in-one printer for this price is a good deal.
