Had the printer about a year, when suddenly something called a waste ink absorber became full. It has a fault code on the screen, that has to be cleared by a technician. I could not remember when I bought it, so Canon is saying it must of been over a year and will not honor the warranty. Service location is too far away. No offer from Canon to mail it in for repair. Just a lame offer of a 15% customer loyalty discount on an MP160.. for a total of about $75-80. That in addition to the $100 plus I laid out for this piece of junk would total nearly $200 in the span of about a year on low end printers. Not to mention the paper feed started acting up. Loyalty my foot, I bought a $30 Lexmark all in one on sale at Walmart to replace it. In my estimation they all have about the same quality of printing and construction (if I want photo's printed I'll go to the drugstore or order them online, why waste ink on low quality prints from a home printer?)I have a Canon digital camera (A510) which is fine, but after this little bait and switch quality fiasco. I'll probably buy another brand of camera as well, when the time comes. Thumbs down for Canon on quality and customer appreciation!

I got this printer as a replacement for my HP450 portable printer. The Canon is smaller and operates better than the HP. It prints quickly and feeds properly (a problem with the HP). I've had the printer about a month, and things have gone well so far. Hopefully, I won't have any feed problems!

I'm used to Mac plug-and-play equipment, so I was surprised at how long it took to set this printer up, and how carefully I had to follow the instructions. I got it all working on the first try, but then learning how to actually *print* took a bit longer. I'm relatively computer savvy, though no high-tech wizard, but I can imagine that for people like my mother-in-law, who use but don't really "get" computers, this would be nearly impossible to figure out on your own.That said, we're amazed by the quality of the photos we can print now. I've printed off some of the same digital images that I printed from my local drugstore digital printing machine, and this home printer is MUCH better--the colors are more subtle and rich, they are clearer and sharper. They really look more like professional photos than snapshots. We're thrilled!There are still features I haven't figured out, and I miss how the drugstore machine knew how to size the photos for me--with this printer, I have to size my photos in Photoshop to get them to come out without too much cropping. But again, it's so nice to be able to print photos of this high of a quality from home.

I am a very loyal consumer and will generally stay with the specific brands I buy. This was true with Epson printers that I have purchased for many years. Common sense finally took hold after the last tank change and subsequent 6 head cleanings before a good print could be made, not to mention almost 1/4 of the tank depleted. (at least by their monitoring system) Tired of wasted ink and paper, nozzle cleans, tank changes for 1 low color, etc., I decieded to make the change to Canon and purchased the ip6700D. Setup on my Intel driven Imac was a breeze! Talk about instant gratification! My very first print came out flawless with better resolution and sharpness than any Epson I have owned. I even had to look to see if it was doing anything during printing, unlike the Epson that was only rivaled by the dishwasher for making noise! Individual print setup was also a snap. The quality, paper and other parameters were simple utilizing the supplied software. I found the "trimming" capabilities were better and easier than some of my high dollar graphic programs I have. I printed out a box (100) of 4" x 6" prints, one after the other and didn't lose 1 sheet from a malfunction of the printer. No head cleaning. no alignments, no getting ready to do a tank change! Nothing but high quality prints. At least the remaining Epson borderless premium glossy paper worked well. I guess I will pass this along as getting wiser with age and not putting up with poor performance again with using an Epson. Why did I wait so long? You won't be dissapointed with the ip6700D.

I purchased the Canon Powershot s400 on Amazon in April of 2004. This is our third digital camera- one other Canon and one Nikon- and this was the best of the three. For the most part, I was satisfied with the images, but many required red-eye fixing or tweaking of the levels. Bright light pictures were usually very washed out. Shot-to-shot and powering up times were good. I would give the camera a rating of 3.5 or maybe even 4 stars if it still actually worked.I started getting a message that said "Memory Card Error" after about 14 months. The message only happened on occasion, and I could power it off and on a few times and eventually the camera would work. It was annoying- for sure- but at least still (sort of) functional. Two months later, there was nothing I could do to get rid of the error message and the camera became completely useless. It made it to the ripe old age of 16 months! I called Canon, and they said I could send the camera in to their repair shop, and they would mail me an estimate. When I explained the problem, they said that it would most likely cost on the high end of $150 - $300. Even the service rep. said that it would not be worth repairing.If your heart is set on buying this camera, please don't do so without buying an extended warranty. You will most likely be VERY happy you did. I had to use my warranty (purchased at Best Buy) on my previous Canon, and the customer service was outstanding. There was no out-of-pocket charge for completely repairing my broken camera. They even took the liberty of replacing the outer pieces so it looked like a new camera. My only (minor) gripe was that I was without a camera for almost two weeks. Because Amazon was offering the S400 at $100 below Best Buy, I decided to take a chance this time and forgo the extended warranty. BIG MISTAKE!!To those of you who have just purchased this camera, consider selling it before this defect sets in for you and the camera is worthless!Canon- I am SO disappointed in you! This defect happens more often than not, and you won't recall the camera or do anything to help those of us who made a substantial investment little over a year ago. I guess you knew what you were thinking when you gave the camera a one-year warranty.If I sound bitter, it is probably because I am...I can't afford to buy a new camera every year. The sad thing is, my next camera will probably be the Canon S2 IS because it is such a fantastic camera and I would like to have the 12x zoom capabilities. But you can bet that I won't buy it without an extended warranty!

Let me first qualify my rating a bit before I get into specifics:1) It seems the mean for compact camera resolution currently is about 3-4 megapixels if bought brand new. This is a 2 megapixel camera, which was the mean for a compact camera about 2 years ago (when I bought the camera).2) This rating is based on 2 years of wonderful experience with this camera and thousands of pictures taken. If you are set on a 2 megapixel camera regardless of price, then this is the camera for you. -Picture Quality- Amazing for a 2 megapixel camera. I routinely print out 4x6 pictures at great quality. Before this camera I was using an APS Elph. Without a doubt this camera prints much better quality pictures than my old APS compact camera. Although keep in mind, no matter how good the camera is, the prints can only be as good as the printer. The only problem I had with this camera is that it is VERY dependent on the flash for point and shoot pictures. Without the flash, unless you are in bright sunlight, pictures can come out blurry if you don't have steady hands.-Features- AMAZING. Simply more features than you will use if you are buying the camera for quick snapshots. Also the problem with the flash dependence that I mentioned earlier can be fixed using the manual features. But with that said, it is impractical to change these features manually everytime you want to take a quick shot, but it is very handy when you want to take portrait type or studio type shots. This camera also has a movie function with sound that most cameras have nowadays. Most people say they don't use it, but I use the function a lot. I find the main problem is that most people just forget they have the function so it is never used, but if you can get in the habit of using it you'll have priceless small clips (at a low resolution) of things that happened.A 2x optical zoom isn't too shabby either considering many compact cameras don't offer a zoom.-Durability- again AMAZING. I have never dropped this camera (well once off a bed, onto some really soft carpet), but I've owned this for 2 years and probably 75% of those two years that camera has resided in my jeans pocket with lint, keys, cell phones, change... and not even ONE scratch and it still works perfectly. I did buy a small pouch for it, but the pouch really goes against what this camera is about, fast pictures. It wasn't practical to take the camera out of the pouch everytime I wanted a quick picture so I never used it, and it turns out I never needed it.Also the camera is heavy and solid for its size. Too heavy for a shirt pocket, but definitely light enough to put into your pants. Its made of a metallic material that feels much better than the plastic that most compact cameras are made of.The display screen on the back of the camera is plenty big enough to use to frame your shots. The viewfinder however does not accurately show the picture you are taking, which is a problem for many cameras. I never use the viewfinder because of this, but I never really want to either unless I forgot to charge my battery and I want to conserve battery power... which leads me to...-Battery Life- The battery easily lasts the whole day of picture taking if you are on a vacation for instance. Easily I would be able to take 100+ pictures with flash and the screen on. But I have noticed over the thousands of pictures I have taken that the constant recharging of my battery has made the life lessen a bit. But that is to be expected from any battery over a couple of years of high usage.-Price and Summary- I think the deciding factor for this camera is price. I gave this camera five stars because I couldn't be happier with my camera... BUT i bought the camera 2 years ago. A quick look at cameras of equivalent price and one can easily find 3-4 megapixel cameras for the same price (but maybe not the same quality). A quick look at cheaper cameras and I can also find plenty of 2 megapixel cameras from reputable brands such as Minolta, Nikon and Fuji. This camera has kept its price amazingly well over 2 years for an electronic device (I bought mine 2 years ago for $250). I think it has to do with the HIGH quality of this product. But if you have the extra $$$ for a mere $100 more you can get a 4 megapixel Elph.I am very satisfied with this product and I know when I eventually get a new camera several years from now it will be another Canon Elph.

I have just recently purchased this printer from a local office supply store and I am thrilled with it. I printed out an 8x10 that was pure photo quality. Friends were over and they were amazed. I had an Epson that just stopped printing the black. Nothing could fix it so it was done. The canon has a replacable print head with is what could have fixed the Epson. Just so you all know, I have not found the print head on canon's web site so I am not sure how to purchase a new one. You may have to call canon directly. The great thing is that the head pops out and you can clean it if it gets all junked up. This is one printer that actually came with an owners manual, not just the one on cd for HP printers and others. Its a very thick book with a great troubleshooting section if you do run into issues. Dual paper options, one in the back and the tray in the bottom. Also, auto 2-sided printing, very nice for business users. I will update this as I go along using it. If you go with the step up from this which is the MP860, all you get is a color LCD, photo card slots, and about 1-2 pages faster. I don't ever print directly from the cards, always from the pc (I like to edit pics and see the detail easier), so the slots and the color viewing LCD is not worth $100 more. Go and get it, you won't be dissapointed.

I just received this canon printer this week, i tried it out over the weekend with the new digital camera that i got. personaly i can say that this printer works wonderful on photos. I am not sure how much ink it will use yet since i just got it, so that could be the down side to this printer. I also haven't tried to print any documents from this printer either, so that could be another down fall. I have to admit though i was a little worried about this printer printing pictures but the ones that i tried turned out wonderful. It is really a great printer for the price for what i can see. It also has two memory card slots that you can insert your memory card and print right from there, the only bad thing about it is that you have to know what picture number you want to print sinse there is no screen to view the picture. but you can also choose the option on the printer to print all of the pictures on your memory card. I hope this helps.

The Canon PIXMA iP6210D prints excellent documents and photos. BUT, as often happens, buyers make poor choices to suit their needs. This is NOT a production printer for photographs, although it produces excellent images on reasonable quality inkjet paper AND specialized photo papers. If you value quality over high speed; understand TCO (total cost of ownership); and can work reasonably well with your hands, THIS IS THE IDEAL PRINTER FOR YOU.First, recognize that you are getting an electronically and mechanically sound machine. Second, realize that this printer comes ostensibly FREE OF CHARGE when purchasing a set of Canon FINE inkjet cartridges at a 33% discount -- MAKE SURE THEY ACCOMPANY THE PRINTER IN THE SAME SEALED BOX.Recognize that these cartridges have limited ink capacity. However, when properly maintained, you can easily refill them WITH OEM QUALITY INKS between 6 - 10 times at a cost of less than $5.00 per set of cartridges.Do the math, buy and learn the system, then save yourself a bundle of money in TCO while enjoying a very good printer.

I was using my Canon Pixma MP130 All-in-One Photo printer almost everyday and was very happy with it until suddenly something called a waste ink absorber became full. It has a fault code on the screen and you have to take it to a printer repair service to have the code removed and replace the waste ink absorber. I've never heard of such a thing and am very unhappy about it. I'm sure the printer repair service guys love Canon. What a rip off!

I had an HP 5550 previously. My photos got grainy and so I decided it was time for a new printer anyhow. I love this Canon, and it is unbelievably quiet and fast! The Ink Tanks are very easy to change and you use all the tank before you have to install a new one. No Waste. I am very happy with my choice.

Personally, I've only used the printer for color and black and white documents and scanning. My roommate has used the picture functions and we've found that all issue with off color and brightness had more to do with the software used than the printer itself. I do need to see if cleaning the tracks (dunno if that's the right terminology) will prevent some of the occasional streaks it leaves on pictures (Reason for only 4 stars). Get the software update for a Vista computer and it runs like a dream.

I can't complain. It's a wonderful printer. Pictures aren't too great w/ the aftermarket ink, but it worked great w/ their ink. It serves my purposes as I'm not into making fab pics.Edit 1/20/2008Well, the blue ink doesn't work. The little white thing in the ink holder gets full of blue ink and I have to constantly wash it out. I got myself a used b&w hp laser and it's been my main printer since.

I was looking for something small, sleek, portable and high quality and this is the perfect printer for that. Its very light weight and very simple and easy to use. Fold up the top cover and just put the paper/photos in. The picture quality is excellent and the photos turn out beautiful. The only complaint is some pricey extras. Print anywhere with this one, cell phone, airplane, on the go. Its very easy to use and perfect for the person who wants a small portable printer to take on the road/travel. Highly Recommended.

I bought this based on a friends reccomendation. I had the MP780, and it was a great printer, although the feeder control broke on it-would have cost 300 to fix.. So i bought this one. I should have checked the type of INK Cartridge. There is currently no aftermarket one for this printer, due to the chip that it uses. So instead of the $4 i was spending on the MP780, the ones for this printer are CANON and cost $15.00,. Before you buy a printer, check out if you can get generic ink first, so you are not beholden to the mfg. supplying you with ink.

I purchased the printer on Amazon.com for the price and scanning ability, not the photo printing. But I was also amazed at how well it printed photos as well. Easy to set up, easy to use, if you don't understand how to do something, read the manual once and you will never forget again. It scans exceptionally well and fast. The duplex scanner requires you to manually manipulate the paper by removing it from the outfeed table, rotating it 180 degrees and placing it back into the infeed table. No where in the description of the item on Amazon did it mention this, but once you know what to do, it's easy. It's so easy to use, I taught my 8 year old daughter how to scan and save to pdf files and she is currently scanning all my personal financial papers for me. Printer is awesome.

I have had this all-in-one for about a month now and don't know how I ever lived without it. Quiet, efficient, good print quality, no glitches in operation so far. I had an old lemony Epson before so this is not a fair comparison, but I really enjoy using this machine instead of struggling to get what I needed before. Favorite feature is the 2 feeds so I can easily switch back and forth. Don't do photo printing or faxing yet, so can't speak to those features, but the copying and printing and ink useage are all top quality.

Don't let the few negative reviews scare you. I pondered whether to go ahead with buying this printer. I like the ability to print both sides of a page without having to keep placing another page in the printer. I was amazed at the quality of a picture I printed. All the other printing I have done to date has been outstanding. I am still learning all the "ins and outs" of the machine as I explore the attributes, (as I have only had this printer less than a month)but I give it a positive review. Since I have a laser fax machine, I won't be using that part of this printer, but it does come with a fax setup.Prior to this printer I had the Epson all in one which I also loved until after just one year, it stopped printing and the no amount of cleaning the heads worked. The same Epson ink problem that so many people complain about. I hope trying the Canon Pixma MP530 won't end that way.At least the Pixma MP530 has a print head that can be replaced if it jams.

I have had the printer for about 3 weeks now and used it mainly for color or B/W printing on paper, not photos. I was very impressed with the ease of set up, packaging materials and instructions. Once out of the box, it is substantially built, heavy and has a large footprint. I like the idea that the ink cartridges can be refilled (versus buying new every time).It is easy to use and very fast. Two paper trays make it more useful and the menu wheel system is simple and easy to use. All in all a very good product. It replaced a fairly new Epson photoprinter that went on the blink and couldnt be fixed my me. After reading the reviews on my Epson printer and the Pixma printers, I decided to give up on the Epson and switch to the Canon. I'm glad I did.

I've had this printer for about six months and I'm packing it up for return. Simply put, the problems outweight the plusses.Pros: the duplex is great, reasonably fast, ink is easy to replace.Cons: the "Feed Switch" which is supposed to direct printing to either the cassette or the auto sheet feeder often malfunctions, resulting in your printing on the wrong media. This can be darn expensive if you intended to print on plain white paper in the casette and the printer inexplicably eats expensive stationery loaded in the feeder. Envelope printing is terrible-- it smudges every envelope and puts black marks on the front edge; fax function works poorly, if at all; software is virtually useless-- especially compared to HPs. This printer also drinks ink.

OK, so let me start by saying that I am a Canon fan, I shoot with EOS D60 and Pro-1 cameras and ZR10 video, love their stuff. This seems a little different though. Well delivered quickly and looked great when I unpacked it, but first sheet faded quickly towards the bottom and then wouldn't make any mark on the paper at all. On-line help managed to get the black and white working, but they told me I had to take it to my Canon authorized local repair center to get it fixed. They tell me it will be at least 3-4 business days before I'll see it again.Shame - it looked cool and the bluetooth worked well.Oh and don't buy an extra USB unless you need one, because there is one in the box.Very disappointed.UPDATE: OK, so got the printer back from the service place this morning and it works fine - great quality printing a color spreadsheet as the first successful page out. They said it was the print head which they cleaned and now works fine ("probably just got dirty on the shelf at Canon"). Either way, it now is doing what I wanted it for, seems to do it well and the Bluetooth is faultless and hidden away inside (nothing to break off or get lost).So disappointing start, but redemption through performance and good service network.

Excellent multi-function printer for the price. Arrived promptly and in great condition, works just as advertised on my Windows XP-SP2 system. Highly recommended as an "all around" home-printer. Does not come with a USB cable. I bought a regular $2.99 10ft cable on sale and it works fine.

The quality of the print, scan and fax functions is great, especially given the price.It has 2 paper feeders, and the lower one is enclosed, so you can leave photo paper in it with less worry about it drying out and curling.If you plan to do any scanning using the auto-feeder, budget for a copy of PaperPort 11 - that way you can actually press the scan button and have a PDF generated. The Canon software is unbelievably bad at this - so bad that I would have returned the unit had I not found PaperPort.The fax is very friendly - if you pick up any phone in the house and hear the fax tone, you just dial 25, and the machine picks up. (you have to then put it in fax mode before it'll actually print it.)One irritant is that the voicemail light on my phones no longer clears when you listen to a message - something to do with the fax machine.Overall, I'm very glad I bought it.

1. Works like a dream2. Software installs quick and easy3. Print quality excellent for documents and great for photos4. Ink cartridge usage with low level notice is nice one for B/W one for color5. Small size is perfect for travel and small workplaces6. Speed of printing is surprising7. General Comments on Comments: It seems that many expect the moon with a small, compact printer like this one. USB cable is a sure connection and no problem when on the move. Too much is said about how it doesn't work with unnecessary bells and whistles like Bluetooth. Why worry...just use the USB. Saftware installed easily and the icons on the desktop pop up just fine. As does the user's manual and set-up guide. Ink cartridges have to be small so printer can be compact. If ink $ is a problem use the cheap compatables. No printer provides all things for all users so you just have to decide what is most important to you in a compact portable printer. If it is fast, great looking color as well as B/W documents from a printer that can fit in your laptop bag then look no further, this is the one for you. For good, fast, clear printing from a neat, compact little printer there is nothing in the market that is better than this one. Though I do not consider this a reason to downgrade my rating, for full portability the battery pack would be a good investment. For me, I just make sure there is someplace where I can plug it in and I am on my way with whatever print job I need done. Buy it, you will like it!

I bought this printer to replace an HP that I had worn out. We run a business from our home and our all-in-one has to stand up to lots of use. I am incredibly surprised at this Canon. The print quality is terrific, even on pictures. Ink usage is acceptable, and better than HP. Copy quality is very good. Scans come through very well. Set up was easy. The machine itself is very sturdy, user friendly from machine or computer. All in all, I would recommend this product over HP. I have used HP printers for years and it's safe to say I probably won't go back after having this Canon.

I don't usually write reviews, but this printer has made me so mad... I really must say something here. I bought this printer back in November 2006. It died last week.Good points: Print quality is excellent. Photos come out nice. Word documents come out clean and professional. This is why I gave it 3 stars--I have to be honest: Your photos will come out looking awesome.Bad points: Printer died inexplicably after only 3 months of use. This printer also eats ink like super super fast. My family started giving this printer a nickname: Mr. Pusherman. We had to buy an expensive ink tank cartridge every two weeks. It was absolutely ridiculous, like a crack habit. Canon should have advertised this printer as the printer only rich folks can afford to keep.Conclusion: If you have money to burn, buy this printer for the excellent photo print quality. If not, save your money for gas.

I bought this printer from amazon.com. Nicely arrived before scheduled time. Great photo printing. Copying is very cool, with features like both color or b/w. Really enjoying it.Both side printing kind of works sometime.These printers are great product for such a low price, because they planned to make money from the ink you buy. They have chips in their ink catridges to avoid you going after market catridges for refills.If you do choose go after market catridges, changing the chip from old oem catridge into after market catridge is little bit harder.But you will loose nice elegant feature, monitoring ink level functionality from the computer. And you have start monitoring ink level manually atleast once a each week.

I have used several different printers over the years and this one is by far my favorite. It is loaded with options that make printing anything a breeze. The menus are simple to use and understand. But the best feature is the ink cartridges. They last about as long as most printers, but the replacement cost is under $15 each (there are 6 different colors). They are also incredibly easy to refill yourself, and last for mutiple refills (I have only had to replace one cartridge in the 2 years I have owned it). If you are looking for a printer for pictures and documents, this, or another full-size Canon printer, is for you.

I have not been disappointed with this printer. All of the other reviews help to make an informed decision. I just wish for bigger ink supplies but that is what makes it so small. I am able to get both my laptop and printer into my travel briefcase (a "standard" size) but the weight (or I am getting weaker) is starting to GROW! Too much "stuff"

So far this unit works well and as described. The duplexer seems to work better with 24lb paper than with 20lb stuff. Document feeder works great as does the scanner. The two paper trays are an excellent touch and allow two different types paper if required. Ink cartridges are easily accessible and while they don't last as long as I would prefer, they give very adequate printing capability before requiring replacement. Color photos are very crisp and sharp. Unit operates with an Win XP at adequate speed. Printer utilities are excellent as is the included software to integrate all functions. Excellent experience to date with unit. Replacement cartridges are not yet widely available. Amazon has had best price on 2 of 3 orders placed.

I'm now at my 3rd Canon travel printer, and still very happy with them! I was looking for a wireless printer and for battery energy. Now I have both, Bluetooth which works perfectly well. I'm amazed about the longevity of the battery! Printing quality is perfect for my needs... (I make my own picture "postcards" which get admired by everybody I send them to)

Husband thought I needed to update my old printer with a new one and this is it. Copies well and with speed needed to get the job done. It has many features and I am not sure I will use them all. The fax feature--I read the directions and got that overwhelmed feeling and gave up. Prints photos with wonderful quality.

I purchased this as a replacement for an HP1350 all-in-one that fell off the desk and didn't work quite as well thereafter. I was hesitant to get another HP because, although the HP1350 produced great photo prints, it was very slow and seemed cheaply made. The Canon on the other hand seemed a lot more substantial when I looked at it in an office store. I haven't used the fax or scan functions yet so I can't comment on those but the print function is great. The speed is really impressive. It can print photo quality 4x6s in probably about 2 minutes. That's easily 2x faster than my HP. Also, despite what was advertised, I never got the HP to print borderless photos. The Canon does do that no problem and does not need the special 4x6 paper with the perforated tear-off tab. The photo print software that comes with the Canon is also very good- a lot easier to use than the HP software.

I have always been an HP printer type of guy and this is my first Canon. I was a little apprehensive about getting this due to the lack of familiarity with Cannn brand. However, I shouldn't have been worried. The thing runs great and the printing and copies look good (I have not tested the fax yet). I am very happy with the purchase. It seems to be an excellent unit.I like how the printer drops into a power saver mode when not in use for a while. The only thing that is missing on this printer is a dedicated network port. However, given the cost, I believe this printer gives the most bang-for-the-buck.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of network port. If this is not a big deal for you, than in my opinion, it is worth 5 stars.

I bought this printer to travel with. It could easily be your main printer. It closes up and fits nicely into a briefcase with your computer and isn't too heavy. It prints fast and I am impressed with the quality. I have had no problems with paper jams. The ink tanks don't seem to last too long but they are only about $7-8 each so it won't break you to replace them. I would HIGHLY recommend this printer if you are looking for something to travel with or if space on your desk is an issue.

I bought this about two years ago, but only for a travel printer. It started getting daily use about a year ago when my wife started using it.No problem with print quality, but it's now unusable as it continually paper jams due to the rollers pulling the paper thru at an odd angle. The troubleshooting fixes in the manual didn't fix it. It's now junk. I have never gotten such poor usage out of a printer. Also own an i950 and I can't say I'm particularly happy with that printer....uses a ton of color ink, even when set at grayscale. Now why would it use color ink when it's set for b/w only? Go figure.

I have not used it too much and am still exploring it. The CD with all the software demands lots of memory on the computer but the quality of the printing (photos) and text and the scanning seems very good. It is fairly large but seems to be well worth the money.

The Cannon MP530 Multi-Function printer arrived in a timely fashion and in working order. I have used the print, copy, and scan functions. I did not test the fax function due to not having a land line with Qwest. This is the best printer I have ever had.

While I do not doubt the previous reviewer's experience, I was shocked to see they had problems. I've had this unit for about 9 months, use the heck out of it, and have never had one thing go wrong. I bought it when I needed a fax machine in a hurry. Got home, plugged everything in, and was in business in minutes.
