If you are one that wants to save lots of money and have a quality printer at the same time, this is the only model left at a reasonable price that allows one to easily swap ink with aftermarket ink. Take that to the bank as you buy this printer as a year from now these will be selling for $150-$200 on ebay.Buy these while you can.

These batteries are the sole reason I will never buy another Canon camera. I love my camera, but these batteries are over-priced and have a short lifespan. I've been through four of these in the last couple of years, and part of the reason why is because they're Lithium Ion. For the longest life, Lithium Ion batteries need to be topped off as often as possible, and should never be allowed to discharge completely (every deep discharge cycle lowers the life of the battery considerably, and after 100 cycles, the average Li-Ion is at 75-85% of original capacity). So, generally speaking, Lithium Ion is a lousy choice for a camera. Who takes ten shots and then tops off the battery? NiCad is a FAR better choice for a camera, since NiCads SHOULD be completely discharged on a regular basis. I spent a few hundred dollars on the camera, and I'm well on my way to spending an equivalent amount on batteries. That's absurd. I bought another brand of camera recently that uses standard AA batteries, and I'm much happier with it. I use NiCads instead of the Li-Ions it came with, and they're working great. Proprietary batteries s*ck.

First thing I noticed is how heavy this is comparewd to other similar printers I've owned (HP's). Very solid, prints beautifully, faxes/scans/transparencies/copies - all no sweat. Very happy with the picture printing. Vastly better than those %$@## Hewlett Packard dogs...One thing to note, no printer cable included.... I used my old HP's - lol

I can't say enough about how great this little camera is! I bought it in anticipation of a 10 day trip to Europe and it outperformed even my high expectations. I've had some experience with photography, a few classes, and some nice cameras (all Canon's) in the past but this is my first digital.As I wanted to make sure I had enough coverage for the trip (hence the 5mp purchase), I added a 512 MB card and spare battery to my order. Just over 200 pictures later (at full resolution), I have the photo record of a lifetime! The images are clear and crisp and the color is excellent. Even on cloudy days the camera captured great shots. And even though I took the manual along, the camera is so intuitive I never had to use it. I played with the various settings throughout but if all you want is easy high quality images you'd never have to bother. I love that you can preview the pictures on screen and delete them if you're not satisfied. The battery is long lasting - one would take me through the day and charge up overnight (the extra was a little overkill but appreciated in situations where I couldn't immediately charge).Since returning from the trip, I've transferred the images to my laptop, uploaded the images to Ofoto to share with family and friends, written slide presentations to cd, and had pictures printed in 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10. All have amazing quality and have received great reviews from whoever has seen them. In fact, 7 framed pictures are in my office and many think they've been professionally taken and purchased! The quality of the camera and prints, coupled with the ease of use of the camera and software is outstanding.Recently, I purchased an iBook and Canon PIXMA ip3000 printer. The Canon connected to the iBook without installing the Canon software package and interfaces seamlessly with iPhoto. Although I haven't had a chance to print from the laptop yet I did connect my Digital Elph directly to the printer. On the sample paper that was included, I printed 3 images directly from the Elph. All are great, straight from the camera with no color alterations or cropping. I can't wait to see how they print with a little tweaking on the laptop!Well done Canon! This is a combination I anticipate having for a long time.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mark Page-Botelho's review. This printer is not for regular use. I had the same problem with the black print head drying out. The available maintenence functions have not been helpful, and the Canon service reps advice similarly has lead to a lot of wasted time and frustration, along with a lot of wasted ink and paper from doing cleaning and testing repeatedly.

I have been a user of two different HP InkJet Printers over the past 6 years. I have been happy with the performance of each one. My only complaint was cost of Ink Cartridges. My son, an employee of Cartridge World, told me that the Canon with the ink tanks was a more economically feasable machine. I have been using this machine now for a month. I love the picture quality, the print quality, and the ease of using it. I will never go back to an HP InkJet Printer.

I purchased this printer for it's portability and bluetooth capability to use when I travel by RV. This is the second Canon printer I own, the other an i9900. Both are fast and produce outstaniding results with little or no problems. In brief, I am extremely happy with my new ip90. The only drawback is that when you purchase the battery pack and bluetooth adapter, both being optional, the cost is pretty high (around $400), which is about what my i9900 cost new two years ago. However, I am glad I purchased it because it fits exactly what I bought it for.

This is my preliminary review as I've only had this printer for half a week...but this is a really good printer. I'm happy to say that it's fast, efficient, printer good clear pictures, and even has the benefit of a little screen--all for $80 bucks!!! I spent a lot on my last Canon printer that didn't have a screen or even half the options of this baby. There are two main paper feeds--one at the top like a "normal" deskjet printer, and one bottom tray for photo paper or more paper if you print a lot! The small screen that displays the photos neatly tucks away when you're not using it, and can be adjusted up so you can see the screen if you have the printer on a shelf like I do. My favorite thing about this printer is that you don't have to have your computer on to print pictures--you can either plug your camera in, or you can take out the memory card and insert it in the reader attached to the printer--no more cords for me, thanks!! My two concerns at this time are 1) There is no printer to computer cord included--you will have to buy the cord yourself (people may and will complain!) and 2) the life span of this printer. My last Canon (i860) lasted only a year and a half. Hopefully this one will last much longer--I really love this printer!

I purchased this product for Christmas from Staples as it was cheaper at the time. I am in love with this printer. It creates high quality photo's quickly. It has several great features included and does come with handy software for making adjustments either on your PC or on the printer itself.One thing I must say however, is that the type of photo paper you are using makes a HUGE difference. Epson Premium Glossy is by far the best when used with this. It is, in all honestly, difficult to tell the difference between a digitally printed photo and a traditional film photograph.The printer itself is very cost effective for those with a budget in mind. The only thing that is missing from the package is the much needed USB female/female cord to attach it to the pc for a direct pc print.The unit does take several types of memory cards and has a very clean viewing screen.On board controls are very user friendly and even has some extra nifty printing features such as sepia toning.I really recommend this printer for those wanting an outstanding photo at an even better price!

I've had my i550 for several years now. Works great. I like only changing ink for the colors that are used. It never refuses to print based on counting print jobs (a problem that I had with an Epson). No issues with the quality of print.

I've owned this printer for 3 yrs, I been through 7 printers within the past 5, and nothing can top this one. It is a budget printer, but the Quality it provides is good if your a student or a free lance printer. IF your into photography don't go with this printer. HOWEVER, this printer is a MONEY SAVER!!! the black ink I buy from target is only $6.40 and the color runs for about $17. You can't top that; the printer might be $100+ used but you will save lot of money in the long run in ink; I would reccomend this to anyone!

I'm not going to bore you with all the technical details of this printer. You can get that information anywhere.The main reason I bought this printer was so I could use generic cartridges and save money. I am on a fixed income and I do mystery shopping and have to print out a lot of forms so being able to buy 30 cartridges for the price of 1 Lexmark or HP cartridge was really appealing.The print quality of this printer is awesome. Photos look like photos. Text is clear and crisp. The speed is acceptable but it can be a little noisy when it feeds the paper. Copies and scans are quick and easy with this all-in-one.One of the extras that is really neat is popping your cameras memory card in the printer and printing out an index sheet. The index sheep will have little boxes (similar to test sheets where you blacken in the circle) you check by each photo. You can select quantities of each photo you wish to print. THEN, you scan the index sheet and the computer carries out your checked instructions and prints your pictures! I doubt I will use this a lot but it is pretty cool.I have been buying color printers for many years and have paid over $800 in the old days for a decent printer. This unit, at less than $100, is amazing.When buying any printer, be sure to check the price of the ink cartridges. Is that $30 Lexmark a bargain when you have to pay $30 to $40 for each cartridge? I recently bought 15 color and 15 black cartridges for this Canon for less than $45 shipped.I'm sure there are better printers out there, but when you weigh all the factors, this is a quality machine at a great price!

I bought this camera specifically for my honeymoon trip to Paris. I have never used a Canon before but I decided to give it a go because of the great reviews. The first concern when buying a camera is the picture quality. You ask yourself if this camera will take a good picture every time you point and shoot. Well it does not! It takes about 4 good pictures out of 10. I took 250 pictures on my trip; bought the 512MB memory card, only 60 of them were print worthy. All other came out blurry or with dust particle in the air because of the strong flash. Needless to say that my wife was extremely mad at me for the horrible pictures. It maybe true that you could fiddle around a lot with the menu options that might improve your images, but on the other hand the option menu seems to be in Hebrew, impossible to understand. I'm a very well educated person, engineer, extremely computer and technologically savvy, but this menu is just impossible. If somebody tells you it's a cinch, it's probably because they spent well over a year trying to figure it out or have owned Canon cameras all their life. This is not a Point-&-Click Camera. I just was so extremely disappointed in Canon, so many good reviews that mean nothing. Hopefully this review will shed some light to perspective buyers. What camera should I buy then? You ask. I just don't know. Sony's are truly point and shoot cameras and their menus are much more easy to use. They use words like Menu, Video, and Resolution. Canon uses symbols and letters, very confusing. I would look at Cnet reviews and PC World reviews to see which Sony is on top. But overall this camera is on the bottom of my list. I write this review not to damage the image of Canon or to hurt Amazon sales but to inform buyers into making a right choice from personal experience. I never buy anything without ever reading the reviews, they provide a world of insight that the manufacturer can't mention.

This is my second day owning this camera and it is replacing my S50 which I have been using for the past three years. The reason why I bought it was mainly because of the compact size compared to my bulky s50 and also the video mode produced better quality videos than the s50. So far I love this camera! I have been comparing shots with the s50 and s500 and one thing that I did notice is that the LCD is of a better quality on the s50 and that would mean the images would look much better when viewing from the LCD monitor. I was able to view images that I took with the s500 on the s50 and the images from the s500 looked much sharper , clearer and superior. So I will be keeping the s500 for a long while. I also noticed a few unhappy customers that experienced error problems or LCD cracks. For those, I would recommend that you purchase the camera from a store that will issue a refund like COSTCO , this is my first choice in purchasing digital cameras because you can return it at any time whether its 1 month or 1 year from now, as long as you have the receipt. And they will issue a full refund, plus I got it $100 cheaper at costco off of the retail price.Also in response to another reviewers concerns about speeding up the shutter speed. All you have to do is change the image capture mode to the "action" mode.And please read all of the manual! I 'm pretty sure the error screen is appearing because the format of the av/out is not matching up correctly. You have to pick the right format befor you connect it to your tv.

Before I purchased this printer, I had a HP photosmart that was a huge pile of garbage. It would print erratic colors, if it printed in color at all, usually it would just print in black and white even though I just installed a brand new color cartridge in it. But enough about that, the Cannon Pixma IP6000D is the best printer I have ever owned. It is very easy to use and the software included is great. It prints perfect pictures. The memory card slots on the front are very useful, just pop your memory card in and it will transfer the pictures to your computer. Or you can print them right from the printer itself with the flip up LCD screen, no computer reqiured. The ONLY, and I mean the only complaint I can think of is the LCD is a little hard to see. It isnt very bright or clear and you need to be looking at it at just the right angle to tell what is on it. I have had this printer for well over a year now, I would highly recommend.

Especially considering the price, this camera is a fantastic buy. I've used several different digital cameras, and this is definitely the best(Olympus C-765, Pentax Optio S4, several Olympus Camedias). That being said, I have a few complaints:Flash - Indoor scenes often have too little light to take a picture without a flash, but regardless of how little light there is inside, a flash will always make the pictures look incredibly washed out at ranges closer than about eight feet or so. More than ten feet will result in a blurred, low quality image that really doesn't benefit at all from the flash. So, for low lighting, get a tripod-- and get a decent tripod, too, the cheap ones are really unstable.Batteries - Third party batteries cost me something like $5, and they work for maybe three recharges-- so do NOT buy one of these. The OEM batteries are exorbitant, though.Lens size - A tiny lens means a tiny camera, but it also means a camera that can't take pictures that require a lot of light-- you either use a flash(losing color quality), or take a very blurred picture. For some reason, as well, low-lighting conditions often result in bizarre white balance. Indoor pictures always seem too orange, however I set it...Additional praise:Focus - Generally works out to be perfect or near-perfect.Movie Mode - I don't expect it to be like a professional video camera, but for what it is, it works quite well. The microphone's easily twice as good as iPod mics I've used..Size - It's so small! And the design is incredibly well thought-out. Everything's in the right place, and easy to use.Quality - Picture quality is fairly consistent if you have the right ISO settings-- I usually use medium or high quality on S or M2-- low quality small pictures are only worth it if you want to just show them to friends and take a zillion, they're not really suitable for printing.While I think I might rather have an EOS Rebel ideally, I'd rather go with something that's 1/3 the price and half the size. i have a canon i80 which i think is the previous version of the pixma ip90...a word of warning...i replaced a black ink cartridge that had run out, as black would not print....i use it irregularly, but am in academia so not that infrequently....at any rate, the printer prints NOTHING....and i have had it just over a year....had to pay for a $50 replacement print head which canon is now sending me...with any luck this will fix the problem, but they admitted it could also be a hardware problem...i am very disappointed, as i shelled out $250 for this printer...i, too, was enraptured with this product, but i expected it to last longer than just over a year...my guess is that because the parts of this printer are so small, it should be cleaned via printer utility each week to 2 weeks or it will clog up....which means more ink will be used....why are printers made so shoddily that they constantly clog up and become so useless they have to be trashed....talk about waste both in environment, time and money...

I feel bad for the people that didn't have a good experience with their printer. I cannot speak for the reliabilty across a number of printers but I can vouch for how great mine is.I love my printer. I have an Epson C80 and several C60's at work. My C80 never really worked right. Let me tell you, Epson = Head cleaning. Seriously I have worked with 5 total Epson printers throughout the past 2 years and all I do is clean the heads of each one of them. And a lot of the times that doesn't do anything. I've gotten really good at cleaning twice in a row before testing to see if it did anything. Oh, and in case you didn't know, clean = wasted ink.So back to my i350. I like the fact that the printer cartridges cheap (albeit smaller) but I print every once in awhile and don't notice much. I do notice not having to shell out $35 for a cartridge and I know I don't replace the Canon's 3 times faster.As for print quality, I've had to clean the head on mine once since I've owned it. That alone is worth justifying payment for this printer. I mean, can you honestly say that about your Epson ever? I don't think so. I mean the whole reason why I even wrote this review is because I just printed out a pic on glossy paper and it came out perfect.If you get a good i350 it will be awesome for the quality and for the value.

I just bought one of the S500 it a sweet toy. I was recently looking to buy a digital camera. I have a Petax SLR which my bro has been using for his photography classes. My bro also had a digital camera but it is a couple years old and batteries have been kinda short lived (canon S45?). I borrowed it for a while and enjoyed it but it was still too big and heavy. I really enjoyed my real camera, but I realized my slr is not something that I can bring to a party in my pocket. I really wanted something small without compromising the image quality. So I did my home work. I looked at sony, pentax, casio, nikon,and of course canon. I had my heart settled on a T1 or the new yet to be realeased T3. 5 megapixls and a huge screen and tiny as hell. But the memory sticks sony uses in particular the duo is small in capacity and pricy. I was still not entirely dishearted. When I had some free time I went to a Sony Style store. He told me due to the small lense size that the color saturation is not the best. He tried selling me a different sony but they did not catch my eye. Then I started workin backwards. what is the biggest memory card type? Compactflash. Best bang for buck? CompactFlash. Same type of card my bro has too. So then I favored canon and nikon. I immediately zoomed in on the s500. Small fairly light. Kinda on the heavy side for its size, but not bad at all. Recharable Li-Ion. Short movies, 5mp, 3x optical zoom but you knew that. It had my bro's camera beat. I bought 2 1gb lexar cards incase one died on me, a spare battery, leather case and compactflash card reader to go with this new toy. I love it. I just went on vacation and I did not need to change the battery until the last night. It was great at parties right into my pocket. I snuck it into a dashboard concert and got some great picks too. Did not even need to be that close. For its size it compromises some of the more advanced features that the s-(doubledigit) line has but I haven't found anything I am missing so far. I highly recomend getting a Compact flash card reader. They plug and play with almost any OS mac or PC, and you can avoid all the messy camera software. I have not tried canon's latest but with the reader I have no need or desire too. The other benefit is with the reader your memory card doubles for file transfers. Anyway great buy.

I read lots of reviews before I bought it.[...]"Prints great, scans are weak." I've had no problems whatsoever with scans on this unit. It's as good as any other mid/low priced scanner.Someone else mentions Canon inks are cheaper because they put the print head in the printer, not on each new cartridge. Well, that sucks when your $40 printer needs a new $50 print head twice a year, like my last Canon. As another reviewer mentioned, print a little (color) every few days to keep the nozzles from drying and clogging.This thing prints very well, color and black docs. It's quick, it's quiet. It scans easily, with good results. It works great as a a black or color copier, with or without a computer. (Display is dim, you need good light to read it.) Never plugged the picture cartridge in and printed directly, but you can do that, with no computer.Having the multiple memory slot right on the front is very handy. Rather than using their own cords, I just pop out the SD and CF memory cards from our two cameras, and slip them in the printer. Drag 'em right into the computer, or open directly in Photoshop, and the card's back in the camera in two minutes. Also handy to grab and display pictures from cameras of visiting friends.[...]

Although I have become a faithful Canon supporter since buying a CanoScan LIDE60 & Powershot A620 this year, I am a somewhat disappointed that Canon hasn't figured out many of us now prefer wireless connectivity. If you don't mind cables, and you need a traveling printer companion, then fine, buy this printer. From what I gather, there are mixed results from using the additional $70.00+ bluetooth adapter. Don't forget to shop Amazon for another suitcase or backpack for the much needed ink cartridges you will blow through using this portable. Yes this is expected however, if Canon will enter the 21st century and include wifi (built-in, as HP has in many of their inkjets), this would be a awesome printer. Are you listening Canon? So if your looking for wireless (wifi), this is not the printer for you.

After just over a year, my lens jammed and the display read "e18". So I was pretty upset to discover that this is an extremely common defect - and a defect that Canon refuses to admit. Try Googling Canon S500 e18", and you'll see what I meant.Don't buy it unless you want a very expensive paperweight.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PRINTER. Ok, as much as a person can appropriately be in love with a printer...But this thing has seriously been great. It doesn't seem to use much ink, the cartridges are affordable (a nice change!), and it prints really beautiful, vivid 4"x6" color prints - with or without borders. It prints edge-to-edge flawlessly.I've been using it for about 6-8 months now and it's a little workhorse. I've recommended it to many people and in my line of work, it's extremely handy to have along in order to print info on the go. I've printed in my car before - just plugging it into a converter in the cig lighter and beamed (via infrared) the info to my laptop. I've never connected it with a cable to my computer - just used infrared.It does occasionally pull in more than one piece of paper, but not half as much as the HP printers I've owned in the past. Also, it DOES NOT come with a printer cable, which I think is pretty crappy. Lucky for me, I only use infrared. But for the average person, it may be an unpleasant surprise.Overall, this is the best printer I've ever owned - it's worth the price for the quality. And if you have a Canon digital camera, you just plug it right in and can print photos without needing to use a computer or laptop at all!GREAT PRINTER! Can't beat it!

Like clockwork, I experienced the dreaded memory card error after 18 mo (just out of warranty). I recently bought a new battery because the generics had such short lives and were a source of frustration for me. However, even with 2 canon batteries I only seem to avoid the memory card error temporarily. I'm hesitant to buy another Canon camera based on the reports about the 1) Memory Card Error, 2) E18 Lens error, and 3) fragile LCDs on the new SDxxx series that I hear about. Here are some tips for those of you dealing with the experience:1) I used photorescue to recover some of my pictures from my CF ( http://www.photorescue.net/download.htm ).2) At some point you may find it necessary to truly WIPEOUT your card if you are not able to reformat it properly ( http://www.photorescue.net/downloadcardwiper.htm )3) Always keep your batteries fully charged, a low battery will increase the chances of the dreaded memory card error and render it useless until you remedy the memory card error (see Tips #1 & #2).I really loved everything about this camera, the 3min movie clips, crystal clear LCD, good quality photos (although I gave to edit the images to remove the extreme red hue in some of my indoor images), and compact size/weight. However, the rampant memory card error is inexcusable, warranting only a 1 or 2 stars. If you haven't or don't experience these problems, consider yourself lucky. ;)Note: I never experienced any of these problems with the s330 model. I had the s330 previously, which I gave to my sister. I'm sad to see that the new Canon models are having a lot of problems.

I got my i550 printer more than 3 years ago and never had any problem with it; the printing is as clear as it was from day one [maintenance helps]. Although "old tech." by today standard, I highly recommend it for home use. I will not part with mine until it dies on me. Long live the "i550".

Great work Canon. We purchased three of these for our office. We carry them on worksites in the same bag as our laptops. They are small, compact, lightweight and easy to use. Printing of pictures and regualr text comes out perfect!We have had no problems!We highly recommend to all!!

I read the previous reviews and I did some research on the net about this printer. I was skeptical when I received it in the mail from Amazon about how it would be. Let me start off by saying that I am happy with it! But it is not perfect! It fits easily in my Targus backpack laptop bag with all the other gadgets I carry around with me. I saw one review that stated that the text printing was fuzzy but it seems very crisp to me and very fast for such a small printer. The photos are good quality but of course could be better from a 6 or 7-color printer, but since I have this in my bag along with a box of 4x6 photo paper I can print off a picture at any time if someone wanted a copy (and that happens a lot and sometimes I get paid for it! LOL). Convenience is King.Here are a few specs that I figured out.Number of photos from a single color cartridge: ~30Approx price per photo: $.52 (With Epson glossy photo paper which I found for $16.99 for a 100 sheet box)So, here is the deal, you are definitely paying for the convenience of printing your photos any where AND having the ability to print to letter or legal size paper. My fianc? and I have a lot of hobbies and we tend to be on the go a LOT. When we need to print out a map to somewhere or print out instructions for some kind of project while we are in the parking lot of Lowe's we count on this printer big time!Bottom line... Is it the best and cheapest printer out there? Nope! Is the best printer for my on the go lifestyle and convenience? Totally!

Bought this "All-in-One" printer because I wanted to save on desktop space in our new, rather small, condo. So I was surprised when it arrived to see how big it is. The overall dimensions are about 17" wide x 15" deep, and it is approx 7.5" tall.That said, it does do it's appointed tasks well. Installation is simple. It copies easily in color or b+w. It scans well using the included programs. In fact, this printer comes with a new version of one of my favorite photoshop type programs: PhotoStudio by Arcsoft. I had a Canon i560 printer prior to this one, and have been consistently impressed with the Canon photo printing capabilities (having been an HP fanatic for years before that). This printer also allows you to print directly from memory cards, but I have never used this function.The reason I subtracted one star in rating this product is that I assumed and "All-in-One" printer scanner would also include direct fax capability, which this does not. Obviously this is not a huge problem, as you can simply scan the image into PhotoStudio, then "print" it as a fax, but it was disappointing that direct fax was not included.Overall, I would recommend this unit for those wishing to save desktop space by having a scanner/copier/printer all in one unit.

I've had this camera for a little over a year and a half now and I just love it. It's really small, which is a huge plus. Because of the small size, it's very convenient to take with you and that means you end up taking more pictures than you normally would. I've chronicled most of the little and big events I have gone to with it. Even though it's just 2 megapixels, that is more than adequate for me--I don't rely on it for professional shots, just mostly snapshots. I have printed some photos through shutterfly, and they came out looking great. You could tell that they weren't quite as sharp as those from a regular camera, but I had taken them at the medium compression setting. They were definitely framable though and you probably couldn't tell that they were digicam pics unless you inspected them close up. I suspect pics taken at superfine would be even better. Rendition of colors is truly remarkable, and I have received many compliments from friends on this. Canon sure does seems to know what they're doing when it comes to optics. Any photos I've taken with bright colors (landscapes, flowers, etc.) came out breathtaking. The camera is made of metal, so it has a nice, high quality "heft" to it. The photo management software that it comes with is awesome--intuitive and easy to use. It may run slow on old computers though, if you have a lot of photos in your albums.One complaint I have about the camera is that it's just okay in dark settings, even with the flash on. Also, when taking pictures of people, I seem to get red-eye a lot, even with the red-eye reduction setting on. It takes small video clips, but the resolution is very grainy and with the 64 MB card that I have in it, the maximum length of the clips is really short.Other than that, this is a terrific, dependable camera that's perfect for the beginning digicam user or for someone who wants the convenience of a small, easily transportable camera. It comes with a far too small 8MB card, so I highly recommend getting a larger one. Also, it doesn't come with a case, so I recommend buying one because this is a beautiful camera and you wouldn't want to damage it. Canon makes one specifically for the PowerShot series that is leather and compact. You can find it at Apple stores.

I have read some other reviews that stated after a year or 15 months they began having problems with this printer. I have had mine for almost 2 years and no problems encountered yet; and I use it alot.I love my printer. Easy to use, easy to change individual ink cartridges. I mostly use it for office use but I am very pleased with the photo quality as well.I would have to say it is a great printer.

I have a Hp officejet 7213 that has real small ink cartridges that cost over $30 each and run out of ink quickly. I had an Ebson C88 which prints terribly and after 3 sets of ink cartridges in a row clogged up, I threw it out. My new Cannon iP6000D is just wonderful. The prints, on photo paper, look like they came from the store. The cartridges are generious sized, and cost an amazing $6 ea. It prints quick, and never gives me any trouble. I love the media print feature, where I put in my camera memory card, view the picture right on the printer LCD screen, make any adj. I want, and presto, store quality prints.

Love being able to print borderless. Get a nice 8 x 10 with no border all around. Prints quietly and rather fast for a nice inkjet. The LCD was hard to read until I changed the contrast even at that you really can't tell what your getting but it's nice to have. I do most of my editing on the computer screen. There's one setting you can only do thru the LCD menu and that's print things out with things translated into a kind of pencil drawing which I really like for certain pictures. Unfortunately that setting doesn't show up on the computer side of the editing.I was turned on to this series of printers because they say cost per print is less than all the others. Haven't had to change anything yet and I hope that's true.I would recommend this to anyone serious about nice photo prints
