I thought this would be a great product given all the reviews on Amazon. However, after setting up the printer the first time, nothing printed.I spent an hour with tech support trying all of their suggestions to no avail. Cannon then decided to end me a new printer head. Guess what? That didn't fix the problem. So, they are now sending another printer. All in, this will take what should have been an hour job to about 6 hours plus driving back ad forth to a UPS drop off point. I had printing for work that I needed to have done and now had to have done by a service!!!!I am so frustrated and have no confidence that the next one will work or that it will even be a brand new printer and not some refurbished one.UPDATE--THEY ARE SENDING ME A REFURBISHED MODEL (THEY DID NOT VOLUNTEER THIS INFORMATION) TO REPLACE A NEW PRINTER BOUGHT A WEEK AGO! UNBELIEVABLE--BEWARE THEIR POLICIES AND DISREGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Purchased to replace old Canon PIXMA which was a workhorse - this machine was intended for my home office - died in only a couple weeks - very disappointed; It's being replaced by a new HP laserjet color. Mistake was trying to have one machine do everything - copy, print, scan - it's like trying to have multi-task appliance - a dishwasher that is also a toaster and a refrigerator.

After one month, no complaints.I never used the software disc included with the product, opting instead for drivers resident in my iMac's 10.6.5 OS. Setup was painless and I was printing half an hour out of the box...not bad for someone technically challenged.Printing docs and envelopes has been a breeze. For cold starts, it takes a minute or two to boot up, but for my needs, time is never of the essence. Today, I printed my first 4x6 snapshot using iPhoto. The image quality was a bit dull, but acceptable. For serious prints, I go to WalMart or to a lab.I've sent out faxes with no problems...haven't had to receive any yet so I cannot comment on incoming. I'm still using the supplied USB cable so I have no wireless experiences to share.It seems a bit thirsty but I imagine the OEM carts are probably lightweight. I'll wait until I use the aftermarket high capacity ones to judge ink consumption. I'm not a heavy user, so I don't see this being a big issue (for me).The footprint is big compared to other printers in it's price range. They're all about 17 or 18 inches wide, but the depth on this one does eat up more desktop then I'd prefer.Judging from the negative reviews of comparable HPs (I bought this to replace a great HP 1210 which finally died after 7 years of dependable use) I'd say that for a street price of around $70 bucks, I'm doing ok. I'd recommend this printer to anyone who has an occasional need for an all in one.

I originally saw this at the px on post (fort hood) and was going to buy it looked online through my phone and saw it was $50 cheaper here...ordered that day! I haven't regretted it sense! I bought it for couponing! It prints so great and the ink levels are still high after printing a few 100 pages of coupons, I'd buy it again if needed! I already ordered more ink for it just so when I do run out I have more! Love it! Shipping was fast, came packaged perfectly, Zero issues! 100% satisfied!

I had a fancy expensive all in one from HP. I had so many headaches with that printer that it has become a paperweight. This Canon printer is awesome. No issues with the wireless, setting it up was a breeze! I haven't had to handfeed it paper like my crappy HP. I've messed up a couple times with inserting the photo paper (make sure glossy side is facing you or it will print but be an icky mess. Speed is pretty good considering the price of this. Lightweight, easy to move around. Simple to install. Scanner portion is nice... I need to find another piece of software that lets you scan it as a PDF. I haven't bought any new ink for it yet and I have printed quite a bit.Update: It is starting to want to throw an error saying it needs paper or it has jammed. Maybe my paper is the issue or my cat is knocking things into the feeder.

I had purchased and used Cannon office products in the past with no complants. The MX 340 has very poor operating quality. I have had one problem after the other, it eats through print cartridges like M&M's. I have never had a multi-function machine that could not fax out on when the cartridge is detected as low. Have never had a error message that could be resolved by following the error code message recomendations. Very dissappointed, will never buy cannon product again.

My girlfriend and I were looking for an all-in-one wireless printer so that anyone could print in the house wirelessly. She came home with this P.O.S because it was on sale and she had one of those extra discount scratchers. I couldnt be more disappointed with this machine. First, it NEVER stays connected wirelessly, always needing to be reconnected (and sometimes it will say it can't connect to the network even though all the computers in the house are); it will NOT print PDF forms for me, it will always print off the first line, spit out the rest of the paper and then tell me the printer isnt connected, meanwhile the little dialogue box tells me the printer is online and printing; we barely print and the ink gets sucked dry almost as soon as we purchase it (even using the "fast-print" setup); sometimes it won't even print simple things off of the internet that I highlight and print "selection" or even simple notepad or Word documents; and the internal card reader doesnt recognize anything but pictures (no documents or anything else, just .JPG). I am ready to throw this thing out the window. I work with computers and printers and I have NEVER seen anything quite like this paper weight. Completely useless, go with an HP or Lexmark printer instead. The ink cartridges may cost more, but they are DEFINITELY better than this.

After reading several reviews and the trust in the brand name (my cameras, camcorders,accessories are all Cannons), i bought this printer. Eight of Ten times my computer cannot recognise where the printer is, so you need to reconfigure the whole settings and retype Wireless LAN password to make it connect. Sometime you need to connect the computer with Printer using an USB cable to reconfigure, now what is the point if you have to spend 20 mins in doing this setup before you print one single page, you are better off buying a wired printer !WOW Trouble shooting is another story, e.g trouble shooting guide will tell you do a physical connection test but will not tell you how to do or where..once you figure it out where look for in 15 mins by yourself, that tool will tell you to check port setting and again it won tell you where to look for it.Even printing speed was woefully slow so sadly this will be the first Cannon product which i did not liked.

I only payed $50 for this printer, on sale. I am very pleased. I haven't printed any photos yet, so I'm not sure what photo quality is like. But I love the wireless feature, and it prints great. The wireless was very easy to set up. Some people comment otherwise, but if you follow the instructions very closely instead of trying to wing it(unless you know what you're doing), you will be just fine and will have no problems. The machine feels much sturdier than my old printer by another top brand. I also like that you can still print with this one after it gives you a low ink warning. My old one was not that way, and it was so annoying! Bottom line: this printer is definitely worth the money. I would have been willing to pay up to $80 for this printer, easy. If you're looking at the reviews for this printer, you're probably looking for a good printer that won't cost you tons of money. You've found it. This is a very good printer for how little it costs. Is it as nice as a $200 printer?......probably not.....but you're probably not willing to spend that much. That's why you're here. Reality is, you can't get a $200 printer for $50, but you can get a very good one........this one. WORTH THE PRICE!

I have the same experience with the printer using color ink even though I only print in black and white. The color cartridges last about a year and I don't even use them! It makes the printer a whole lot more expensive.

Not only does this printer not print borderless photos as claimed, it won't even print a photo on a single page unless it is manually sized to fit within the same printable area required by any printer, which is about 1/8-1/4 inch from each side.I am using Canon's print driver, and the exact photo paper name listed by their driver. I have borderless printing selected, photo printing mode selected, and my photo is 4x6 inches. And yet when I print with the settings as per the instructions, it prints 1/4 of the image on each of 4 sheets of paper as if I want to try to cut them out and tape them together. The only way to get it printed on a single sheet is to crop it to 3.5x5.5, or tell it to shrink to fit.

Has a fairly large footprint and barely fits inside a built-in cabinet, but works great, fairly fast and built very solidly. I like the ease of loading paper and the display. Great printer for the money.

Wifi setup was easy and works great. Had a problem with the black ink smearing. Ran a ink jet cleanup and seams to be OK now. Black ink runs out fast. You can buy another printer for what it cost to buy the black and color ink.

I got this printer as part of a package with my Gateway computer. My trusty HP printer had been working perfectly for over 7 years when I gave it away to make room for this one. Needless to say, I was disappointed when this printer broke after only 2 years. It started flashing an E3 error message, which indicates a paper jam. However, there was no paper jam. I did everything I knew to do from attempting to update the driver to various other solutions I read about on the Internet. Nothing worked. To make matters worse, I'd just put a brand new $20 ink cartridge in the printer.

I ordered this printer as a birthday present for myself. : ) My previous printer was a Lexmark and it was a hunk of junk so I wanted to spend a few more bucks for a good printer. My husband and I both use laptops so it was important to me to get a wireless printer. We also have a bunch of old pics that we want to save on our computers so I also knew that I wanted a scanner. I selected this particular printer based upon the price, the functions of the printer and the customer reviews. And I am glad that I did.When setting up, I did have to use the directions. (Usually I like to just pull an appliance out of the box, set it up, and go.) Sometimes I would try to skip ahead when I got in a hurry but each time I would have to go back to the directions and go step-by-step. I had two issues setting up the printer. The first was totally my problem because I forgot the personal password needed in order to connect to our private wireless network. So it took me some digging to figure that out. Second, I couldn't get the printer program, Canon MP Navigator EX 3.1, to open on my laptop. The print function would work but I could not scan. I contacted the Canon number on the directions and they were closed for the weekend so I was a little miffed about that. I decided to go ahead and send them an e-mail and wait for a response on Monday. Well, there was no waiting. Almost immediately I received an e-mail back from Canon helping me fix the problem. (The problem turned out to be some software interference from my old Lexmark).Now that everything is up and running, I am absolutely thrilled with the printer's performance. Love it!

Having owned an MX850 and MX860, I was a bit apprehensive about the MX350 being too home-oriented for someone as self-important as I am. Surely, you can't get a decent printer at this price, Canon or not.Canon proved me wrong.With the previous experience, setting up the MX350 to work on my home network was pretty straightforward. I'm using three Macs and a Windows 7 machine in my house, and anticipated that Canon would put ancient drivers on their installation disc. Not willing to chance it, I downloaded the latest software from Canon's site, and was on my way in a matter of minutes.If you're planning to skip the disc, and use a Mac, you'll want to install the IJ Network Tool first, to reduce frustration. From there, go with the driver, and then the MP Navigator software. Trust me, you'll skip a lot of frustration this way, if you're not using the disc.As expected, the text output was "cheap laser" quality, if not a touch better. Scanning was surprisingly quick, for text and simple graphics. Not surprisingly, doing any sort of higher-res photo scanning is on the slow side, though the image quality is better than acceptable for most home users. Printing out photos produced better than expected results, though not without some edge bleeding even on decent-quality paper.One thing you may be contemplating is whether to go with the MX350 or Canon PIXMA MX340. If you're trying to decide between the two, here's the only difference I found after a side-by-side comparison: the MS340 doesn't have an LCD screen.What's the LCD screen worth? That really depends. If you're planning on connecting your camera directly to the MX350, it definitely makes it easier to find your pictures (assuming your camera isn't capable of displaying the pictures when connected to a PictBridge-capable device). On faxing and scanning, the on-screen instructions can also be helpful to less technical users. Ultimately though, they're both solid printers that are a steal if you're going to use the scanner and / or fax.

This is my first Canon printer and I am extremely pleased with the purchase. My other printer (all in ones) have been HP and after getting this Canon, I will never buy another HP. There is no comparison in the performance and the ease of the setup. Anyone buying a MX882 Canon all in one will not be disappointed.

The scanning, copying and printing on different paper sizes has been great. Wonderful printer for family with kids and various projects.

If you're looking for wireless printer look further, this one is impossible to set up. Absolute joke. I'm not a computer geek but know few things about computers. It says wireless setup is easy, it's NOT. I still can't connect it but I had no problem connecting my Playstation 3 or iPhone. This one is impossible. Save yourself an aggrivation and don't buy it.

I replaced my CPU and had to replace my operating system to Windows 7. My prior fax/scanner/printer was not supported and I needed to buy a new one. Although I use it primarily for printing and color copying (low volume), it works fine for me, and was easy to install (hardware and software).

The only reason I bought this printer was because of the good reviews. I like to have simple machines that do what they are supposed to do reliably. And with this printer I can't seem to get it to work dependably. As a matter of fact, I am writing this review because I wish I had some warning reviews. Perhaps it has something to do with the wireless aspect but as I can't get it to work dependably at all it does me no good. It once again printed one page and won't print the next document. I did nothing different but hit print and it works once and then I get an error. I must have got a lemon- but I have never had a printer do this. Though this time restarting it doesn't seem to change anything. UGH!Another aspect of this printer that I don't like (but would be insignificant if I could just get it to work!) is that it is so amazingly slow! I press print and after a long stretch of silence with no action I get a click sound. After another long stretch of silence then some mechanical sounds and more silence and finally when I wonder if something is wrong or perhaps the paper is out then it finally prints. I haven't done a time for how long it takes, but it is quite surprising.And thirdly, another aspect that I find less than stellar is the size of the paper tray. It is VERY small. It can't be seen because the tray is tucked under the entire unit and has a cover.I thought the wireless aspect of the printer would make it worthwhile for our two computers but at least for this unit it was a big time bust. Be warned!

When shopping for a printer, I searched for "airprint" printers becuase i wanted to be able to print from my iPad and iPhone. This one came up. It is NOT an airprint printer. I called Canon this morning and they provided me with a model number of an airprint printer. Other than that, the printer is fine.

I haven't had this printer for very long, only a couple of weeks now, but so far it works fabulous!! My last wireless printer was a Dell and it sucked ink horribly!! It felt like every time I wanted to print something I needed to order new ink and even when it supposedly had ink, the print quality was horrible. With my new Canon though, the print quality is great....everything comes out crystal clear and in good color....and the best part is the ink actually seems to last!!! My favorite feature is the 2-sided print capability....saves a ton of paper!! I'm very impressed and pleased so far. Granted, I haven't been using long so I will repost if something happens to change my mind but so far, so good!! I would highly recommend!!

Once set up, this printer works pretty well. Reconnected to wireless network after power loss, even pops open that little tray for printed pages if you leave it closed on accident. The lack of screen is frustrating and necessitates the use of the bundled software to get network credentials onto the printer, but luckily once this is done the software can be ignored. For the price, it does good. Like superman.

I'm writing this review eight months after purchasing this printer. My previous printer was an Epson that devoured ink, so I bought this Canon to replace it in hopes of getting more pages per ink purchase.Well, after 8 months of printing, I'm finally getting to the point where I need to replace the ink for the first time. Even after the printer indicated the ink tanks were near empty, it's just kept going. I don't print an unusually large number of pages, but whereas my old printer would demand ink after just a couple months of normal use, this printer has gone several times longer than the old one. I'm really thrilled with that aspect of this printer.Print quality is good, and print speed is reasonably quick. The flip-up display screen is a really nice feature, and easy to use. One neat option accessible through the printer controls is a selection of blank templates you can print out -- lined notebook paper, graph paper, calendar pages, blank sheet music pages, and checklists. Not something I use every day, but it has come in handy a couple times and, well, I just think it's neat. :) I haven't had any problems using the scanner, either, and the scan quality seems good. The whole printer seems sturdily built.Based on my experience with this printer, I'd definitely choose a Canon for my next printer purchase. The ink issue is HUGE and this has been the best printer for ink usage I've ever owned.

Not sure why this got rave reviews...I have been using this machine for almost a year. Maybe the other reviews were posted when the printer was fresh out of the box????Ink cartriges are tiny, tiny, and they are expensive. To give you an idea - I print only a few times a month and no more than 5 pages at a time, and in less than a year have spent more on ink catrige than the printer.Printing - it does its job.Copying - forget about it. It is so incredibly slow that I set up my 10 year old HP Office Jet next to it, and copy using that machine.Wireless - stopped working after it had been set up for about 7 months.I had a HP officejet that I loved. I am sorry that when I bought a new printer that I didn't go back to the same brand.I can't but to think most of the rave reviews were written shortly after setting up the printer.

I bought this as a second printer so I would not have to run upstairs to retrieve copies from my wife's office. We have an older Cannon PIXMA 870 which has been a work horse with no problems. From my experience Cannon makes the best printers for home use. I have had other printers and always experienced problems. None so far with the Cannons. Also the ink on the 882 seems to last a little longer than on my 882. Do wish they had used the same cartridges. Very happy with this printer.

Fantastic printer when it works. I have owned it less than a month and I have had to re-key in my WEP key to get this to connect to my wireless router. Not sure why it is doing this since any other devices (iPad2, 2 cell phones, 3 laptops) connected to my WiFi have no issues. Other than that it has no flaws and LOOKS great in my home office.....I may just connect via Ethernet and my problems would go away??

I have used Cannon printers before. The last one lasted me several years.I tossed it only because it was old. I bought a Dell that lasted me only 6 months so I came to Cannon.Good functional basic color printer. easy to set up and use. I recommend it

This is an awesome printer. It has fax, scan, copy and printing obviously. Also is supposed to print pictures but havent tried that just yet although it does come with free photo paper. Easy to find wirelessly and very easy to navigate and fast.

The new HP computers allow you to print directly from your iPod. While this printer does quite a bit, ink doesnt last THAT long and its not cheap either. Printer now in days are pretty affordable, I got this for around 85 so you get what you pay for. It gets jammed sometimes, ink is sometimes smudgy, scanned documents scan halfway and scanning isnt fast. This product is also pretty heavy and bulky so be aware of that and where you're going to put it

I bought this printer because of it's small business applications. I am a GIS student and need a good printer to create maps. My wife is in the DAR and she writes alot of letters and program inserts. It has excelled at both. She just recently had to used the Duplex option which she never had before, and WOW does it work nice. Set up was easy. Wireless setup was a breeze. Have had it now for a month and can say that I made a good choice after all the research. Cartridges are inexpensive and paper capacity is great.

I love this printer..It prints out great pictures if you load the memory card into it..Didn't print well if I printed from my computer for pictures.. Printes 4x6 photos in about 15 seconds...Very fast..Crisp and clean pictures.. The scanner is amazing! Very good scanner so very good copier! Its easy to setup, love the wireless.. My only downfall is the fax..I'm new to this fax stuff, so I dunno if its me or the machine, but it will send faxes out, but it wont receive them.. Its on a shared phone line, and I thought it would just detect what type of call is incoming and if it were a fax it would auto receive..I tried the auto setup and it did not receive a fax, I tried to manual set it, and it would not receive a fax.. Good thing I don't have a need to receive alot of faxes but other then that, I'm glad I can send them out..Also the ink lasts a good amount of time..I printed out over 100 4x6 and still have a good amount of ink left...So..all in all, everything else is great and I love this printer!

Великолепно

I bought this printer for my mom. it was very cheap (cost) and easy to hook up. I have HAD IT with HP printers, and will never buy another one. it seems like they always work ok at first, and then they start to screw up later on. This one, however, hooked up to the network very easily, and works great on a wireless network. it has a decent scanner and pretty good printing ability (I only did prints on regular paper, no photo stuff yet)I recommend it!
