This printer has 5 ink cartridges and if ANY of them run out of ink, the entire unit is useless until you replace the ink cartridge. Run out of blue ink, you can't print in black & white, can't fax, can't scan, can't read from a memory card. This is such a ridiculous design decision it makes me hate using the printer. Imagine if you ran out of eggs in your kitchen and thus couldn't make yourself a bowl of cereal for breakfast.Until Canon stops making printers with this problem, I recommend you find a different brand.

The printer was set up to run with my 811.11N wireless router. When using the MacbookPro, the printer hand shake start up time seemed to be excessive. However, while using my PC laptop, the combined start up and print speed was very fast. The Fax portion works well for both incoming calls and outgoing. The ADF for both Fax and copy functions well. The hard copy documentation is OK for setup. The user's manual that is installed on the hard drive appears to be complete.

I personally wanted a printer that does one thing..prints. Didn't care about wireless, scanning etc. I also didn't want anything too large. This printer checked all the boxes. It was very easy and quick to install, and thus far has done a great job. I don't see any problems with noise or speed. No, there isn't a paper tray to catch the copies as they come out, but my last printer always spit everything on the floor anyway, so I was used to catching everything as it comes out. For the price you can't beat this little printer. I may buy another one for some day when this one wears out!

This printer is a great bargain: it's well made, the documentation is clear making the printer very straightforward to set up (there is minor assembly required), and most of all the print quality is excellent. I use it exclusively over a wireless network to print from both Mac and PC laptops. The Canon software is easy to set up on both platforms and the printer is very easy to control. Most importantly, the print quality is extremely high and the rate of ink usage is quite reasonable. It's a bit confusing the first time you order ink because the printer has five cartridges and two of them are black. The smaller cartridges, including one of the black ones, are used only for color printing and images. Text is handled by the larger of the two black cartridges so you need to be careful to order the right one when the ink runs low. In my case that is the larger cartridge for text printing. The printer works very well as a scanner and copier, producing duplex documents when needed. You can run the scan from another room over the network and the printer will produce either an image file or a PDF. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this printer's speed and quality. At this price, it's a steal.

I really like the printer got it recently at Best Buy for $39.99 setup was fine. Minor issues but they were my fault but already noticing that the software seems a little buggy saying that the printer is offline and it isn't. I can print documents using say Microsoft Word just fine but when I want to use the software included to say print off a photo print it mentions how the printer is offline. I installed the program again and it worked flawlessly I hope I don't have to do that every time. The little printing I expect to do it will be fine and yes the printer is a tad loud and a little slow printing but for me I don't really care but I suppose if you care so much this may not be the printer for you.

I can't say enough good things about this printer. It was the easiest wireless printer I have ever set up and it works great. I have scanned, faxed, printed and copied with it so far and I have no complaints. I remember someone else saying it does not automatically come on when you try to print but it DOES so I'm not sure what they were doing wrong. Buy this printer with confidence!

It's the worst printer once can have if you are more likely to print gray scale. It uses color ink when printing in grayscale mode. My Magenta & Cyan is empty, even though I have not printed any color documents. Infact I must have only printed 20-30 gray scale documents and It says I am out of Magenta & Cyan and doesn't allow me to print gray scale.

Needed some ink for my other Canon but since it was 4 years old, I decided to give this one a try and just replace the entire printer. It's pretty good so far. Setup was fairly easy. I hooked up the USB cable to my desktop PC, they call it some other name, don't know why, but whatever, and it went through the setup process fairly quickly. It recognized my router, I entered the passphrase for the router and completed the setup and removed the cable attaching the PC to the printer. The wireless worked very well for both printing and scanning. Some other review said you'd need the cable for scanning but that is not true. I scanned a document and it went wirelessly from the printer to my folder with ease. It wouldn't make sense to advertise a wireless printer only to have the scanner feature need a wire now would it? Anyway, the only thing I had trouble with was setting up my netbook to use this printer. At first, the netbook found the printer, through the wireless network, did the install process and I was then ready to print. Well I had a hard time printing from the netbook. It said it was printing and you can see that but the print only came out after I reboot the netbook. I tried a few methods I found on the web but nothing worked. I even emailed canon support and they told me to contact my network administrator! Hey how many consumer products have a network administrator?? I couldn't believe that. So eventually I just went to the Canon website and downloaded and installed the drivers and setup files and that worked real well. Now it prints right away without me having to reboot. I like the way it looks too, pretty cool, all glossy black. It's also very easy to replace the ink cartridges.

At USD129.99 is a no brainer that this printer will be a great buy for anyone who care for larger than A4 basic printing function.I paid addition USD79 for delivery to Singapore. Sounds crazy right? you are right, with these logistic cost factored in I'm still about S$130 cheaper than Singapore retail price.The Delivery from AMAZON is simple AMAZING! reach me in less than 5-7 days!! I couldn't believe that.AMAZON customer service is also excellent and seek to address customer issue as the main priority. Such focus will definite grown customer base.Will be getting consumables also from Amazon soon.

Arrived well-packed. Software takes a little time to load but is very thorough. Print/scan and copy functions are very impresive. May be used with a customer supplied USB cable and can also connect wirelessly with a built in WIFI module. FAX using a landline is great/no problems. Most FAX units won't work with Magic Jack or Skype however; Skype has an optional program for FAX machines and you can add it to your Skype account and FAX for about 12 cents/copy.Overall quality of this unit is impressive, especially for the low price. I give it a 10.

I have an MX340, recently it started to jam on every print job. The paper starts to feed, stops one half inch into the feed, alarm beeps and paper jam message pops up. I pull the single jammed sheet out from the stack at the back, press OK and it tries again. This process repeats about 6 times before a good "feed" starts.I tried running maintenance to align the rollers. No joy.Do not buy this printer. The ink cartridges are just as costly as HP relative to ink cartridge consumption and this jamming is horrid. I am recycling my machine this week.It is very noisy when it prints.I am very sorry I purchased one.

I purchased this to replace an HP OfficeJet 6310 that I had bought in 2006, which would not function anymore...the never ending carriage jam. I have owned Canon's previously, all the way back to the BJC600e. The foot print of the MX882 is a bit larger than the 6310, but has the same design aspects of other All-in-One's. I have used it for printing, copying and scanning so far with good results. One thing that I thought would be a nice addition for them to add, would be for the automatic door that opens when something prints, to also automatically close when the printer goes to sleep...must be done manually. No sense leaving it open for dust and exposing the rollers, carriage and print head, etc. when not in use. The duplex option is nice, as the 6310 did not have this. Overall, happy so far.

This printer is the BEST printer I have ever owned. The pictures are just gorgeous and full of color! I purchased this one and choked down the cost because it has a cartridge area for grey toner for black and white pictures and that sold me. I print alot of B&W pictures and this printer does an amazing job! VERY EASY to set up and the wireless setup was great too. Definitely worth it and a sturdy machine with no cheap parts. First Canon printer I've owned and would never buy another Epson or HP...they just don't last and have lots of problems. Love my Canon Pixma!! It's $50 cheaper on Amazon than local but I couldn't wait to get it and needed a printer.

I'm going to keep this short. Other reviewers have pointed out the many great things about this camcorder, and there are many. Unfortunately, there is one deal breaker for me, and I'm absolutely shocked that more people haven't mentioned it.....the lens is not wide angle enough!! I bought this a week ago to take on vacation. I am in Orlando right now doing the Disney thing, and I'm in a big suite, and I am constantly backing up, and telling my kids to back up, so I can get them in the picture. Even then, it's still not quite enough, and I'm not getting the shots I want. Just to make sure I wasn't being too critical, I asked my 19 year old stepson what he thought (and he's a film/video major in college right now), and he totally agreed. He said his much less expensive JVC has a much, much wider angle (of course the overall quality of the camera and of the videos is less than the Canon).To put it in perspective, consider the 2 top competitors to the Canon HF S200, the Panasonic TM700 and the Sony CX550V. Without hashing out the merits of the 3 camcorders, just know that the wide on the Canon is 43, the wide on the Panasonic is 35, and the wide on the Sony is 29. Huge differences!!!If you plan on doing videos of the family at home, as I do, I really think you want to consider this. It's a problem for me, and it may be a problem for you. Not sure if this is a tradeoff between higher quality video and photos and having a wider angle lens. I'm going to return my HF S200 and do some more research to find a better balance. I need that wider angle!**Update 7-21-10**Wrappinig up my vacation, and I realized that there is another huge negative for this camera (and any camera without a viewfinder).....I was shooting video outside all week, and it was a total crapshoot. I couldn't see a thing on the LCD due to the sun. Again, this is not a knock to this camera specifically, but to any camera that does not have an EVF. I know that this is not an issue for many (most) people, but something to consider if you plan on shooting vacation videos outside in the bright sun.**Update 5-27-11**I did return the Canon and got a Sony CX550V. Picked it up last year. Yes, the wider angle lens made a big difference, at least to me. I have never had a problem framing the video the way I want and getting everything in. Overall quality is very good, with a few quirks. I did a full review under the product listing.

I have owned this printer for 1 and half years. I barely used it and it's broken while printing photos for the second time during it's entire life. While printing it stopped working. Then I tried to restart it and nothing worked. THen I reset it to it's factory settings and started printing again with a horrible line through my photos. When I checked there was a band that had came off. I have owned worse printers in the past that have lasted longer than this one.

We purchased this printer and are more pleased with it's performance than any printer we've owned. We fax, copy, scan, and print and they are all perfect. HOWEVER, I have never had a printer use ink as fast as this printer does. The ink is expensive and there are 5 cartridges. We have gone through a black and cyan cartridge already and have only done text (no photos) and have only used about a third of a package of paper (not a carton...a package!).

This is the best $50 I have ever spent. It performs exactly as advertised. It is simple, fast, quiet, and the wireless feature is splendid. The wireless was a little tricky to setup, (the instructions are a little unclear), but it worked the first time and I have no trouble using my laptop downstairs with my printer upstairs. I have only printed 5 photos in color. The colors were a little weak, but certainly acceptable. I haven't done enough printing yet to comment on the life of the cartridges but, so far so good. This item is actually $2.50 less now than when I purchased mine. Get it while you can. It was being offered with Amazon Prime when I bought mine so shipping was free.

I bought this printer to replace an older Canon Pixma printer that just stopped working one day. I loved the 3-in-1 capabilities of the last one and thought I'd get the same from this one but better... but that wasn't the case, it took 2 0r 3 tries to get it set up wirelessly, the CD would just think and think and think for 20-30 minutes. Once I finally got it set up it worked a couple of time for smaller jobs but the scanning is hit or miss, I think I'm going to take it back...

I've had this printer over a year now. It's probably the best printer/scanner I've ever bought. The wireless capability is fantastic for connecting all of our computers. The print and scan quality is fantastic. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that it easts ink like crazy. We haven't printed color copies in 6 months but have needed 5 of the color ink cartidges. I tried making sure either of the black (why does it need 2?) don't run low. I have 2 friends that bought the same item based on my reccomendation who also wonder where the colored inks disappear to. I guess the fact that the ink catridges are only $12 at Walmart is a trade off for longevity. Thankfully changing ink cartridges is very simple. This is a good printer, no doubt and quality seems high.

I bought this unit as my laser printer was just too much wrt toner costs. I also wanted a wireless printer to share between all my computers (PC and Mac/iphone).It is low cost (really low cost), and the print quality (at this price point) is great.The reason that I'm not happy with this product, like I should be is just how poorly thought out the software is. During install, you basically are going to be loading up with a number of bloatware features (trying to not install these resulted in weird artifacts/or the software you need just not installing).Also there's a little bubble that sit's on your desktop - really annoying. After all, I wanted a printer and a printer really should just work in the background without the need to be seen by me every time i use my computer.Finally, the settings. The settings are crazy. First - no matter what I try, I can't get the printer to print in the proper order. Out of the box with all the defaults, I found that when I print a document - it prints in reverse order. Unacceptable. Going through the settings - I can't find the setting to lock this down. So I have to remember each time that I print to 'reverse' print order.Also, there's a 'silent' feature. I haven't a clue what this does. It does make the printer a bit more silent, but it's not default. If there's some software to make the printer work just as well, but with less noise - shouldn't this be default?Again, the install was a mess. Installing across computers (PC or Mac) was not fun. The fact that the settings were/are not correct out of the box, not fun. The bloatware/and the weird bubble that shows up on my desktops - really NOT fun. If the unit printed at lightening speed or completely silent, perhaps then I could overlook the poorly designed software - but it doesn't. The printer is just average.I'm giving the OK rating because the print quality is average, the cost overall is great, and the software is poor. So it's just so/so.

First, I've only had the printer a short while so I haven't used all the features like duplex printing. I have printed cards sent faxes copied documents and just general printing to include web printing. The software works great. The Easy-WebPrint feature makes printing web pages a snap. You need to allow about 2 hours to install and check out the printer. Installing the print head was the most difficult as you can't tell the orintation to get it in. Once the head is in the cartridges just slip in and an the red LED lights up. The size of the printer is larger than you think as the paper feed in the back takes up 2 inches and when you use the rear feed you have to have more room so the paper will sit in the tray correctly. The best feature is you can find reasonably price print cartridges everywhere. Happy so far.

Really easy to set up but my problem is with the cohesiveness of this printer a Mac. Somehow with this software you can't manually do duplex printing, even if you wanted to. [Actually you can but that requires you to save it in pdf and open it in... say... Chrome, and then you can do manual duplex but the B/W printing is a little off when you do it that way] Apparently this is a problem exclusive only if you use this printer with a Mac.

Well I've owned this printer for about 18 months and finally decided to give it a review. Overall it's very hit or miss printer and fails me when i need it most. Canon support blames all problems on everything except there product. They blamed my router, my 3 computers, norton antivirus, and me but never their product. So today after a 2 hr phone call to tech support with no resolution i am giving up on this printer. So here's the pros and cons for it after its nearly 2 year lifepros:plenty of featurescheap 3rd party inkwireless (when it works)conswireless (when it doesn't work)prints very slowlynot that great for picturesno bluetoothprice

This priter was advertised to be compatible with printing from iPad, but it doesn't work. It will only print poor quality photo's from the iPad. Very disappointing.It does print good black/white from a Window's computer. However, that's not what I bought it for.

I bought this printer about two weeks ago. I just set it up a few days ago. It's a nice looking printer, but truly a dust magnet. The wireless set up in the manual is a little confusing. But it sets up very easily. Honestly I just guessed at it and set it up the same way you do a bluetooth. Once I got to the wifi part I just pressed the scan button on the printer, then quicly pressed the scan button on my router. It connected quickly and I was done. I didnt even use the disk it comes with. Or better yet I should say the disk didn't work properly. Because when I put it in, nothing came up. But all in all it's a good printer.

I've been using this beastie now for six months and have no complaints. The ink lasts longer than I expected and with Canon's individual tanks, I don't have to throw away a half-full cartridge when one color runs out.Scanning: Photo quality is good, drawings and copies are excellent.Photo printing: With photo paper, it compares favorably to professional processing. The cost is right and the convenience of 8x10 color glossies at your fingertips is delightful. It handles a wide range of paper sizes so there's no waste cropping overpriced paper down to size.Day to day printing: Frankly, I use a laser for most of my B/W printing but I've started using this due to the price and just to keep the mondo ink tank from drying out on me. It's not as fast but it is every bit as crisp as a laser so it's the next best thing for hard-copy that doesn't need to be as durable as laser output.Speed: Okay, like every other good inkjet printer it doesn't exactly spew out photo-quality output but you won't be ready for Social Security waiting for output either. B/W output is the best I've seen from an inkjet but still not laser league either.All-in-one: Overall it's great but it's not really an all-in-one printer as it doesn't fax, as a few other reviewers who didn't bother to read the specs before buying have pointed out.Wireless: Took me a solid five minutes to connect to my home network and every computer running Win 2K to Win 7 and a Mac all connect, download drivers and print seamlessly.Setup: Read the guide before you start and you're done in ten minutes.Overall: Great value for money. Makes me wonder why I kept my HP for so long before coming around to Canon.

First of all, this is a HEAVY machine, and I'm not sure why. Bought an HP wireless for one office and this for another because I needed a fax. The HP was for light use, this one, slightly more. The HP was extremely light. Why the weight difference? Second, this machine took quite a while to get operational. The step-by-step instructions were crystal clear and easy to follow. But still, there were MANY steps and it all took the better part of an hour -- test page, aligning, downloading the software, putting in the MANY ink cartridges, etc. And it wasn't strictly me. There were times when the machine did its thing while I waited. The most disappointing aspect is the cheap paper drawer. Pull out too far and it comes all the way out. It's a light and flimsy plastic, doesn't take much paper (my Brothers took a ream, easy), doesn't have a real track. Shockingly cheap. (The HP wasn't much better, drawer-wise, but it was less than half the price and half the weight.)Those are the negatives. So far, it's working well and, once the setup was done, was a snap to use. Still shake my head when I reload paper (often, given the little it stores), but I can't complain about the quality of copies. Haven't yet tried a photo.

This was a good purchase. Copier has features I'll use. It's giving clear copiesand prints from pc efficiently. Design of the retrieval flap tilts upward rather thanflat. For those of us with arthritis,it can be a little awkward gripping the printed copy.Machine seems to be solid.

My HP printer died after 1 1/2 years of love-hate relationship, mostly hate! Had it with their printer cartridges (black & color). Considered replacing with another HP but reviewed were bad. Went to Costco and came upon this Canon. Looked like a stealthy piece of hardware. Had a canon inkjet printer awhile back and liked it. Decided to get one this week. Setup was easy! Went for the WIRELESS setup. Just followed the directions and within 10 minutes I was up and running. I have canon camera and camcorder and now I have canon printer. So far so good. Just wished the cartridges were more reasonably priced!

I really just wanted an entry-level color printer to replace an old one that finally quit. I decided to try out this Canon based on the inclusion of the scanner bed and wireless capability at a low price point. Upon initial set-up and use I'm very happy with the decision. I had ZERO trouble setting up the wireless connection. I used the provided installation disc and followed the instructions. It did most of the detecting, etc. itself, and it printed my test page wirelessly on the first try. I can't speak to the ink life yet, but the print quality is adequate for our needs. The printer itself is somewhat large, but then it has to be big enough to accommodate the footprint of the scanner bed. Overall a great basic printer for the money.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! It is junk. For the first five months I owned it, it did great. It did everything it was supposed to do. However when the sixth month came, suddenly the paper kept jamming. One side of the paper feed, feeds it in at twice the speed, which sends the paper in diagonally, thus jamming it every time I try to print. After six months it is useless. I am a pro photographer and buy all of Canon's top of the line Camera equipment, spending easily $10,000 on camera equipment. Brand loyalty came into play with my purchase. I bought it for home office use....what a waste of my money. I will buy far better Epson printer next time. Shame on Canon for building junk that does not last 6-months.

Wireless connection was fast and flawless both with my HP laptop (Win 7 Vista Home Pre), and my 8 year old Dell desktop running XP.Printer found my wireless router in seconds. I used the manual setup. Wireless photo printing is just as great and fast as is my USB connected Canon MP530. My wireless is routed through a Cisco Linksys E3000. I would recommend this printer (and router). I'm partial to Canon products, as I've never been disappointed.Canon Pixma MX882 Wireless Office All-in-One Inkjet Printer (4894B002).

Великолепно

I had two printers - one had the copy machine feature and the other was wireless, and I replaced them both with this one, which does the job of the two I had. It does have a large footprint but it does everything I wanted. It was as easy to set up as any wireless printer and it even prints double-sided, which is a plus as far as I'm concerned when you're printing web pages. I bought this printer for myself when I was doing research for my grandson's birthday present. He called last night and he is very excited about all it does. I've had it printing for about three weeks now and I've had no problems. We print from a PC and a iMac.

Easy cartridge installation.. ink cartridges are only 20 bucks each and they last pretty long.. This is not the greatest photo printer.. but for documents its great.. the scanner is kind of weird... it doesnt scan complete 8x10 images and documents.. that is why i give this printer 3 stars

It just works! Easy setup for wireless networking. It requires a driver download for each networked computer that runs in the background but it allows connectivity even if you have multiple wireless APs and are on the same subnet. Print speed is decent and quality also very good. Networked scanning works from the application directly due to the cannon driver. Scans as if you are physically connected to the unit. I haven't had this printer long but I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I bought a Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer and use it only at home. Soon, I found the ink usage was terrible inefficient. I need to replaced the brand new XL size ink every 3 to 4 weeks. Yes, this is a truly Ink Eater! Cost you a lot!

I have an older model of the pixma which I have really liked. I purchased this for my parents. I set it up for them and was really surprised at how well it was designed and several of the new features. Scanning has never been easier. It scans quickly and crops your images automatically. There is no need to prescan, preview, then scan. I scanned 50 photos in the time it takes my old machine to do about 10. I might splurge and update my own pixma to this model.

I purchased this printer for my kitchen laptop. We had a cheap HP printer there that constantly had paper feed issues from day one. Once the ink ran out I just replaced it with this Canon printer. This Canon is about a month old and so far works great. We needed a printer to fit a certain space and couldn't use a larger multi-function flat bed unit. It is an excellent printer for the price. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is that it doesn't come with a catch tray for the printed output pages. If used on a table or desk with ample desktop area this won't be a problem. In our setup, the printer is on a small shelf above the laptop so the printed pages fall behind the laptop to the lower shelf. Not a big problem and we can deal with it. This printer actually cost less than the replacement ink tanks we needed for the bad HP we had. This Canon printer is well worth the purchase price for the type printer it is.
