This Camcorder is great! Writes .MTS files to SDHC cards. (I could not find that out anywhere). My other Camera makes .MP4 files. To play your recorded HD files, search "Shark007" for Shark007's codecs on-line. There are specific versions for XP & Vista, and 32 & 64 bit Windows 7. You will be able to play almost any movie or audio file format in the Windows Media Player. (If you have Win7-64 bit, you can run 'em both). Anyway, I recorded some footage in the least speed and it looks better than anything on HDTV. In the fastest speed, you can record about 2 hours on a 32gb card. Get a Transend Class 10 card for the best speed. Only one surprise...there's no Viewfinder! The description & photos danced around that fact, but viewfinders are for saving battery power. I bought a couple large capacity batteries and I use the large LCD panel for viewing. This is a good Camcorder and the price is right.

With two home offices, our printer always seemed to be in the wrong place or attached to a PC that was powered down. The network printer is a great solution for us. I've heard others say that they have had connection problems with network printers, but this one has worked fine for us.The size is not tiny, but tolerable. One nice feature is that you can keep the output tray closed, and it will automatically open when it starts to print. This allows the unit to look smaller and less conspicuous if it is not in use.It is a little slow in printing and scanning (it seems to take several seconds to "warm up" even if it had just printed or scanned something else), but it is adequate for our use. It also is noisier than our old HP printer, with several "clunk" noises in addition to the normal print head noise.Standard print quality is good, and the scanning quality is also good (one hint: the default scan resolution is very high, so if you don't want very large picture files you need to change this parameter). We haven't tried printing photos yet.

Wireless, auto paper feeder, card reader, all these functions are very useful. But print quality is so so. Out of box the cyan nozzle was clogged, after repeated cleaning and two times deep cleaning, problem became worse. Also this printer is very loud, the loudest printer I have even owned. Don't use it late at night.Price is not bad, but it is hard to find generic inks on eBay for this printer, so overall operating cost is not that low.

When using the auto feeder it has not been printing what it is scanning I still love this item however not as much as I use to... also this might be a setting Im hoping but when printing a webpage it gets cut off on the right side, really annoying. I am gonna call cannon soon and see if I have any options, I just looking and I am over my window to return it with seller. . ..This 4 in 1 Printer is AMAZING, I love it! Easy Installation and setting up!(NO PROBLEMS at all) I love the Wifi printing works very very good, I like when printing it opens the paper draw in the front automatically so you don't have to open it before you print! ( Very cool ) I was surprised there was no USB cable to direct connect it if I wanted to, Lucky for me I will only use Wifi, but the option would have been nice. I also am using it with another program for my Android phone called [...] (Works awesome) The Printer is a little bigger then I thought, but not too big... very good item, so worth the cheap money! ~ASulli

This was super easy to set up. Just needed to retrieve my wireless key and it's been performing beautifully. Had it about 2 months. The speed is great as expected - better than my last inkjet. First wireless printer and I can't believe I waited this long. Follow the directions and you'll be printing quickly.

I was looking for an All in One printer and this one with the discount applied fit my budget perfectlyThe setup was very easy including the wireless setup. I did not face any issues with the setup and the test print. The photocopier and the scanner also works perfectly.Tried printing couple of photographs as well using HP photo paper. The pictures did not come out great. Resolution was not the best of the lot but I was not expecting it to be excellent considering the fact that this is not a photo printer. Also I will not be using the printer for photographs too often.All in all, a pretty good product for the price.And as usual, Amazon delivered ahead of time.

Do not buy this printer if it is not your preference to print in color ALL THE TIME! This printer does not give you the option to print in black and white ONLY. And, when the color cartridge runs out it WILL NOT PRINT AT ALL, even if their is black ink available. But of course if you're an economist and enjoy spending insane amounts of money on ink every time you turn around, have at it! :-)

I have a part time job that requires quite a bit of faxing and scanning, and I had an Epson, I hated that thing. So a few weeks ago I was faced with 2 sets of 27 pages (54 pages) that had to be faxed 2 different places and scanned, so I would be standing there faxing 2 sets to 2 different numbers--.....The Epson did not have group faxing, each destination had to be done separately. The ADF, which never worked well (see previous review) was more than I could face that day---it would take hours! So I started looking. I researched, checked other reviews, and finally decided to try this one & bonus (!) it was on sale. This is a great machine! And group fax---1 scan and it will then send to up to 20 numbers. The ADF requires no babysitting, no handfeeding. I'm amazed how quickly I'm done. Not to mention it does make nice pics and copiesThe software was easy to load, although some of the programming was,for me, a little difficult. And I'm sure it can do more than I've figured out. However I'm not a techy person, so someone else may not have a problem. A bonus surprise, I have one line, 2 numbers--1 for phone and 1 for fax. I can have the fax on, and it will catch faxes coming in, and calls are not subject to the fax signal. On the Epson if the machine was on, anyone calling was treated to the fax squealing in their ears. Would I recommend this one? Absolutely!

What can I say. It was cheap, on sale in fact, and so far it works just fine. The wireless hookup was surprisingly painless, no thanks to the impenetrable instruction manual, which appears to have been written by robots, then translated into 100 or so different languages. The ink is shockingly expensive, with a refill costing about as much as the printer itself, and in the future I'll get the generic reconditioned cartridges anyway. If the printer lasts longer than a year year without going all to hell I will be amazed, but so far it works just fine. I guess I'm happy.

Speed and print quality are good. Scan reproduction is outstanding. Ink usage too early to tell. Overall, I feel this is a very good printer.It would be nice if...They included a usb cable.They allowed paper tray loading from below.And, they improved the setup instructions on wireless installation since many homes have wireless networks.

I just replaced a Canon MP350 with this model as it had stopped working properly and was too expensive to fix. I have only started using this today and though I preferred my old one, this one suits my needs. This model is very good on the regular printing of documents, and the scanning and copying work well. On the downside, it is much noisier than the old one, even on the night setting, and the photo printing is abysmal. The Canon MP350 had a lot of ink tanks, and that was becoming way too expensive and I made a conscious decision to buy this newer model knowing it would most likely print terrible pictures, and it does. I have another HP printer that was cheap and does great pictures - so I was not concerned. If you are looking to print a lot of photos, then don't buy this model, go with one with more ink cartridges, they work much better. The picture quality on this one is dreadfully washed out and not at all sharp. If you just want a simple fax, copier and printer - this is excellent and the ink cheaper than the old one - if you plan on doing loads of photos, don't bother, look elsewhere. For what I want this printer to do, it is very good and suits my needs - I mainly print text, copy and scan documents so for that it is excellent.

for the past 5 years i have only purchased lexmark wireless printers/scanner/fax/copy "all in ones" and have had nothing but problems with scanning and printing on a wireless system. finally i stopped being crazy and decided to go with a different brand...never tried a canon and never paid so little for the best all in one ever. looks great and from the moment i set it up, it actually worked! i called their customer service just to tell them how happy i was after years of lexmark machine abuse and i almost fainted when the person who answered the phone was an american, in america. lexmark did give me total tech support each time i called (over 65 times, no exaggeration) but i had a hard time understanding the thick indian accents. i am sticking with canon from now on :o)

As an everyday printer/scanner/copier, the MP495 is excellent. It worked well, right out of the box, without problems. I feel it prints fairly quickly. And the vertical paper input saves space. Just be sure you take out the paper when you're not using it, to avoid bends and creases from gravity. I have not used the wireless function yet but it's nice to have it as an option. All in all, this is an excellent multi-function printer you should consider for a variety of purposes.

I've mostly printed black text and it has been using the color ink to do so, despite the fact that my print settings were set on greyscale. The printer's driver doesn't allow for printing with only the black cartridge because they want you to waste your color ink. Once you run out of color ink, you cannot print, even if you're printing a page of just black text. What a racket.

This is a solid all-in-one printer. Print quality is high for most uses, merely good for photos. Once it's set up, it is easy to use and the wireless works well. I've used it in 3 different networks so far with no issues.It does require you to install some software on the client computers, but the software seems to be good enough and lightweight enough that it hasn't caused any problems on either our Mac or our PC. I have had problems with this from other printers in the past.It has separate ink cartridges for each color (including 2 for black).All-in-all a great printer for the money.

I've owned this little printer for maybe 6 years and, while I've not used it a lot, have never had a real problem with it. I bought it for quick printing while traveling and it excels at that. Occasionally, when you plug it in, my Dell 600M has trouble finding it, but a restart gets it running. I've had no trouble with ink drying out even though my uses have been 6 to 8 months apart. The little cartridges don't print a lot of pages, but they do what needs to be done. Very light although slightly bulky, but way better than lugging the old HP along.

I bought this printer for my son, and also for the other 3 computers in the house to occasionally print in color (other computers have black laser printers attached) via the WiFi connection. Amazon's price was so great ($89) that I didn't expect it to be particularly great. But it is great, especially its print quality. The only thing I dodn't like was the procedure for setting it up to print wirelessly requires a brief physical connection to the computer with the supplied USB cable. This means yu have to carry the printer around to each computer and do an install, before putting it in its final resting place. I am sure someone could have thought of a better way than that, if they tried. Besides that, everything is great. Especially the price and print quality.

This Canon MP560 is by far the best printer I've owned. The price is amazing for what you get, and the print quality is phenomenal! The skin tones are spot on, not reddish, orange, or yellow like some printers do.There are separate ink cartridges for this printer, which I like. The printer is really good about letting you know when it's running out of ink ahead of time, and you can actually physically see the ink levels in each cartridge.The one thing not going for this printer is speed. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all that it's a touch slow, but I don't print that much and am in no hurry. :)I love this printer, and recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive printer with great quality.

I've had this printer for over a year. It seemed to go through a lot of color ink, so I set it to print in gray scale only. It completely went through color ink cartridges when I was doing NO color printing and had it set to use only the black cartridge. The printer works fine, but seems to be designed to enable Canon to sell more expensive color ink.

I'm a relatively experienced computer user...and this setup process sucked. I'm connected via USB and I'm on Vista. So - two things going against me right off the bat...BUT - it should have been easier to setup via USB vs. wi-fi...Not so. The ol' "Easy Installation" button on the installation CD was a bit of a liar. It kept giving me this message: MP DRIVERS - AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE FILES WERE BEING COPIED. : 0001Fun, fun, fun...So after doing this a few times...unplugging and plugging it back in...re-starting the computer...trying to install drivers directly from the Canon website...searching the error codes on Google...etc. I finally just called customer service...They were lovely. They went through the same process with me...same problem resulted. And what they finally had me do was create another administrator account and install the printer from that account...Kind of ridiculous...took 35 minutes on the phone - but it worked. Evidently some third party software can prevent installation and this is a way to bypass that problem.Maybe this knowledge will save someone hours of frustration.All that said - I'm pretty forgiving and I'm pretty patient(especially since I own Vista and know it can be a beast to add hardware to) The thing is up and running now and it prints beautifully, has great user interface, easy and intuitive...compact and nicely designed...and hopefully my opinion of it will only grow with more use. The jury is out on ink costs for me since I haven't used it enough yet...Hope this helps...

So far, so good. I purchased this a few months ago and haven't used it extensively ... yet.The print quality is excellent. I'm not sure what the cost-per-page is but it's worth it. As a small business owner, I'll print a few specific pieces to mail at a time and they have all looked great. No smudging, smearing or stray dots on the paper like my older Epson.The wireless feature is great. My computer is in one room, the wireless hub in another room and the printer is a third room. Set-up was fairly painless and has worked without a hitch. Since the printer is in a third room I'm not too concerned about the noise. Anyways, you have to know when you buy a 99 dollar printer, it's gonna go though a little chunk-a-lunk during the start-up and printing phases.The printing software is pretty straightforward. I've paired this Canon with a new Toshiba running System 7 and I've had no glitches so far.Although the software that ships is outdated, going to the Canon website as previous reviewers suggested worked well. I did have to install the scanner software from the CD. It does help to install all the parts and pieces in a well-lighted area as you have to poke and prod inside the machine a bit. Also, there are scads of little tape thingee's holding everything together and doo-dads to toss - have a little wastebasket near your installation area.To summarize: excellent print quality, tedious but fairly easy set-up and a great price from Amazon. I would recommend this printer.

Thinking about it, most of the printers that I've used have been HP. I've been after a wireless one for a while and when Amazon had this for $68.99 it was too good a bargain to pass up.I spent an easy couple of hours setting up three Windows PCs to work wirelessly with it. One Vista, one XP and one XP netbook. (Downloaded the printer driver software for the netbook from the Canon web site.) A very detailed "quick start" guide walked me through it.Print quality looks fine. I do not print photos so I won't comment on that. Tried a test of the duplex printing and that worked well also.My favorite quirky thing. If you have the paper output drawer closed, when the printer receives a document to print, it will slowly lower the drawer to the open output position. (I'm easily impressed, I guess.) I also like that the blank paper tray is hidden, so it takes up less desk space than my old HP.Only minor issue so far. I'd like to turn off the printed header and footer information but have yet to discover that switch in the Canon printer software.

The money you save with the low cost of this printer will be paid in time you spend. I spent over an hour trying to get the scan button on the device, to send the document to my Mac. This feature is not even available if you choose to use the wireless (which is why I bought it). It seems that for the scan button to work, on a mac at least, be sure that CannonIJ Network process (IJ ???) is running and shown in the top bar. So don't try and do anything but their "easy" install option, or it won't be easy at all.

Let me start by saying I have been in the IT industry for over 10 years, I have had HP, Epson, and Lexmark printers for home and at the office. As the manager of an IT department mostly we have outsourced our printer repair and consumables so this was a home purchase, the wife and kids wanted color and didn't understand my case for the low cost per page of the laser printer we had (such is the life of a geek).The Good- Wireless setup was a snap (for me, consider the source)- The scan to email works well, nice to finally have at home- Very reasonable for a multifunction printer with separate ink cartridges- Dual paper input is a plus- Built-in duplex for a sub $100 printer- Closes up to a clean semi-attractive appearance if you wanted to keep it out (mine is in a drawer though)- Output quality is very good on the cheap copy paper I had for the laser- Found aftermarket ink for super cheap (haven't tried yet but hoping quality doesn't suffer)The Bad or not-so-good- Kind of big footprint, but it is a multifunction so forgiven- 1st page out after it has been setting is a little slow- Install process is a little time consuming (10 min?)- Screen is smallish, probably won't use much anyway- Not loving the round spin-to-menu navigation on the printer but it's not bad and I can live with itOverall I think the value to feature ratio is very good, it's not perfect but Canon is on the upper scale of quality in my opinion so I highly recommend this for a low price multifunction.

My last canon printer mp530 I still have and works like a charm- this one the cartridge are spent within a few weeks and they're super expensive. I'm dissappointed. Should've never thrown my old canon mp500 printer away. stupid. live and learn I guess-

i really like this printer. its super fast at printing, it scans documents with blazing speed and the software is easy to use and fast to set up. i love the wireless capability and have it set up on 3 computers all of them took just minutes to set up! and for the price i cant complain about ink. butt i haven't even ran out of what comes in the box!! its super glossy black color matches all my other computer accessories beautifully too!

The Canon MX420 all in one printer has preformed as I hoped and expected it to. It's lighter weight than the Canon MP530 printer I replaced. I love the WiFi feature and it works well. The only con I have is that it holds less paper than the MP530.

I'm a cartoonist, and use this printer to print blue-lines on heavy bristol board. The printer handles everything like a champ, great resolution, and can feed up to legal size board through it's rear manual feed. The scanner is not the best in the world, but it's comparable to most 3-in-1's. Plus the wireless function is great. It's not the fastest printer in the world, so I wouldn't buy it if that's what you're looking for; but for high-quality limited use at a low price, this is a great value. Very pleased with the quality of the printer in general!

Before purchasing this computer, I had an old HP pSC 1200v for about eight years. I was sad when it finally died, so I was trying to find something that was both affordable and of good quality. I went shopping and came across this printer. It's not the fastest or the smallest or even the coolest looking one, but it's definitely a good buy. I've used it with great ease. I'm a PhD student and I wanted something reliable that was also on the low end of the cost spectrum.I had little trouble getting it set up for wireless use. I had to run back and forth between my wireless router and the printer (since they're not in the same room), but it wasn't that difficult. The screen is a little small when compared to more expensive printers, but it's perfectly fine for me. It's not the fastest, but it's fast. Also, it does a nice job of scanning, especially when you want to scan multiple pages and turn them into a pdf. It's amazingly easy. Also, the printer isn't bad, although it's not as crisp as I would have liked. However, it's still a good quality.Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and I assume you will be, too.

Got this today and had it up and running within 20 minutes after taking it out of the box. Both the printer and scanner are much faster than the separate HP's this replaced. Much smaller footprint too. I noticed that some people were complaining how noisy it is. There is a software setting where can check a radio button to put it in the quiet mode. Reduces the noise about 50%. The photo quality is better than the HP Photosmart it replaced. For 50 bucks it's a excellent value.

I got this printer because my old one is on its last legs. It was fairly easy to set up, although for me it wasn't quite as easy as some of the other reviewers found it. Probably my lack of techie skills. I haven't tried the scanner but it prints really well and copies well. The only downside, and it's not really an issue, is that it takes a minute or two until it actually starts printing after the doc is sent to the printer. Not a serious problem for me but my old Canon is much faster. I've printed pictures and they're very good. Not GREAT, but maybe once I hit on the right paper, it'll be better. I'm using the Kodak paper that I already have and as I said, the pictures are good. Don't be deceived though...it's NOT an all-in-one printer. There's no fax feature but I didn't want one so I DID get what I expected. If you want a printer that scans, copies AND faxes, find another one. I'm very partial to Canon and I really like this product a lot.

I've had this printer for 2 months , and I am very happy with my purchase. The set up was fairly easy (I did read the manual as i went). Inserting the print cartidges was no problem as other reviews have stated. The wi-fi set up took moments and has worked flawlessly. I replaced an old Lexmark with this Canon, so my comparison is to the Lexmark. Print quality,speed,ease of set up,looks, this Canon wins every category.Printing photos was very easy using a SD card and they were store quality or better.I don't print a lot so I can't say how long the print cartriges last, but I would have had to replace the Lexmark cartridges by now. Overall, great value and even with Super Saver Shipping received the printer in a couple days - way before expected. If you need a printer for light duty or school - get this. For business and high volume printing - look for a model designed for business.

I been used about 2 month ,it good , Easy set up ,fax, print fast, only thing conncern is little bit noise when it print , shiping take 3 days

I bought this printer because the online reviews rated it as the easiest ink jet cartridge printer to refill the cartridges on.They were right!I have had the printer for almost a year. The WiFi range is excellent, printing wirelessly all over the house.I have refilled the original cartridges too many times to count, and it's printing perfectly.I love the self cleaning features, print head, rollers & bottom plate can all be cleaned automatically.I love the quieter 'late night' mode.The scanner & ADF work great. Overall, a fantastic deal!

I just got a sweet deal on this printer at a black Friday sale and I am in love. I wanted a wireless all-in-one but didn't want to spend a lot of money, and now I'm glad I didn't. If your printing needs are for basic home use, this is simple and gets the job done.I set up the wireless connection in minutes and found out by accident that I can even print photos directly from my iPhone.One of the other reviews said you can't scan wirelessly, but I was able to on the first try by clicking the scan icon from my computer.My only reason for giving anything less than a five-star rating is the pictures I printed came out dark...but for the price and for instant gratification, who can complain?

Великолепно

bought this printer for my college dorm and use it with my macbook, its great. though not exactly small, it puts the space it uses to good use. it has quite a few features and all of them have worked smoothly for me. setup was a breeze and i think aesthetically it looks better than many other printers out there (looking at you hp). all in all my experience with this printer has been awesome and would highly recommend it. (also the hidden bottom compartment for feeding the paper always gets some oos and aahs :))>nw

Just have to add my two cents since I see this is a special today. I bought this printer for my wife last Christmas so she could use it with a Sony laptop from across the room. While it recognized and ran right away with a Mac mini no matter how many times I tried to configure it it never worked with the laptop or my main Windows PC. Of the dozen or so printers I've owned through the years this was the slowest to warm up I've ever seen. It took a minimum of 4 minutes to be ready to print anything and then would take a minute or so more to process and print the first page. After that it would do ok on speed and there were never any problems with print quality. The past tense is used in this review because for the last two months it has been completely unavailable for use because the paper feed although it makes a noise will no longer pull paper into the printer no matter how many or how few sheets are available and no matter what angle they are at. As a present this was a real turkey.
