This WI-FI Printer was way easier to set up then the reviews said it would. It took me less then 10 minutes to set it up and print something out. Amazing for the cost!!!! I always look at reviews before I buy anything....hope this helps.

I purchased this printer after a lot of research. I didn't use the directions and setup was pretty straight forward. You can Print, scan, and copy WIRELESS. Beware of other models that require a USB connection to scan. Scanner resolution and 600dpi is fantastic for creating PDF's with the supplied software. I used the supplied 4x6 paper and ink to print a picture and it looks great.

I love it and almost everything about it! beware, it uses a lot of ink and the ink isn't cheap. I only use it for school to print stuff of every now and then and the ink went through pretty fast.

I had a lexmark printer that worked great with XP but not well at all with Vista. Had updated drivers but still would not function correctly. This printer also works with Win7.I love this printer. Easy to set up and easy to use. The wireless works great. The scanner works fine.I've had the printer for a few months now and one thing i'm not happy with is the 2 black ink cartridges you have to buy. i've had other printers where i could just pull the black ink cartridge if it was empty and the printer would use the CYM cartridge instead. On this canon if the document black cartridge is empty the printer knows that but wont use the picture black cartridge unless you tell the printer that you have glossy paper and feed the paper from the rear feed.

I'm an electronics guru. When i buy something new i love to read all the reviews, see if there are any in commmon so i know if the item has the same flaw over and over again, so i was pleased when i first found this printer at Staples (for $100, after a rebate) and was even more pleased when i found it on amazon for $85. I've had it for some odd months now, printing word documents, and photos. I use it for very basic needs such as school and personal life. It gets used on an almost daily basis and so far it's held up. It does take a few minutes for it to warm up when you first turn it on, but i'm not a business lady so i'm never in a super speedy rush to pring anything. I've looked at the cost of ink and online it's pretty fair, i always find when you have a printer that has individual ink cartridges for the main colors it's always a tad more expensive, but for the photo print quality i'll take it. I enjoy the feature of plugging my SD card or camera in directly, however it's hard to edit photos on the small screen on the printer, but it's a nice feature to have. All in all i'm very pleased with my canon, i've owned a few different brands in my life and they have always been okay, this is the first one i'm actually impressed with.

Nice printer with very convenient wireless printing feature! Took a little time to set it up to print wirelessly, but it was worth it. Only complaints so far are that it prints a little slower than my last printer, and my photos turned out very dim on the sample photo paper, sort of like polaroid photos look right away. This is probably an oversight on my part in the print settings, because everything else has turned out great. Very happy with the purchase.

Product arrived. Read the assembly instructions and realized I would need technical help in setting it up. I was able to get a technician. Watching him make the printer operable made me realize I was correct in not attempting the task myself. I made the right decision. The fee for the technician was worth what might have happened had I tried to handle the situation myself. Luckily I was able to afford the technical help and, most important, I had a TA that I used in the past and knew he was knowledgable, capable and trustworthy. Could have been a terrible problem for someone like myself (not a techie) and 77 years old (not mentally sharp anymore).

I don't like it as much as my old Brother Printer. I have that one to my kids, and might have to trade back! This one is ok, but the drawbacks are:-software is NOT user friendly; real pain to set up!-ink is expensive, and it runs out very quickly!-it is very loud!Besides those annoyances, it is just great...I mean, really, with so many other printers on the market, I wouldn't settle on this one unless you happen to get a really fabulous deal.

I decided to buy a new printer when I realized that new ink for my old printer would be over $50.00. I received the printer very quickly and it was easy to hook up to my computer. I have yet to try the wifi, but over all this is a good buy.

Fresh out of the box, the printer already showed an error when it was turned on for the first time. When I contacted Canon for technical support, they were of little help and suggested that I take it to a certified repair station. Really? Take it to a repair shop FRESH out of the box? No, thank you. I'd rather take advantage of Amazon's great return policy and invest in a different brand of printer. Oh, and to add insult to injury, I found it painfully funny that I wasn't able to print the UPS return label from my home that was needed to return the label since...well...you get it. Thanks, Canon.

Got this printer couple of weeks ago and it has been performing up to my expectation. I still cannot believe the price of this AIO printer. Even at the MSRP of $99 from Canon, it is still very well below a comparable unit from other brands. I like a good bargain, so originally I had 2nd thought on getting this because it was only $10 cheaper at Amazon than list price. However, after comparing other AIO printers with similar features like wireless, fax, auto-document feeder, this became a no-brainer.Pros:- AIO with fax.- Mac friendly software- Price point- Sleek symmetric design vs. other brands (i.e. all trays are closable to create a neat look)- Self opening output tray if tray is closed. I had other printers where if I forgot to open the output tray, the paper would just cumple up.- Easy Wi-Fi setup- reasonable replacement OEM ink cartridge prices.- iPhone/iPod touch app for printing photos from your iPhone or iPod touch.- USB cable included, useful and a must for initial setupCons:- so far I have not been able to fax from my MacBook wirelessly, though faxing from PC wirelessly works.- slow start-up like most other users have experiencedI have owned AIO printers from HP, Lexmark, and Epson before. This model by far has been the best price performance for me.

I also have the previous year's version of this camera, the Canon HF S100. If I could combine the older "manual" menu system of the S100 with the rest of the S200 I would rate it five stars. Just because something like the touch screen menu system can be done, does not mean it should be done. I use the menu a lot. Controlling exposure and audio settings especially. It takes twice as long to get the job done on the S200. A good hard press is needed and sometimes I end up pressing the wrong item with my thick fingers. The brilliant looking LCD also gets smudged with fingerprints.Otherwise, the camera takes great video. I like the addition of a LANC port. I'll be working on my finger presses and am sure I'll get better at it with practice.

The only reason i gave it 4 stars was because the top of the printer can be scratched REALLY easily.. Other then that the printer is really nice, and the images are SHARP!I hate the cost of ink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a very nice, compact, wireless all in one printer, but my only complaint would be that it takes really long to print. Around a minute or two for a simple black and white document. Have'nt tried color photos yet, but now that i know i'll be ready for a long delay when that happens.

Got this on sale thru the "best deals" of Amazon at a great price. Everything works great, prints well, easy set up and instructions (specially for Windows 7). Only thing I dislike (which is why I took one star away) is that the paper tray is on top of the printer not on the bottom like others. This is a really big annoyance for me since it makes the printer a bit more bulky, but it may not be as great of a problems for others.

i was excited to receive this wireless all in one printer and scanner. it looked beautiful. after following the instructions my macbook pro could "see" the printer wirelessly, but the printer would not respond. after uninstalling and reinstalling three times there was no change, despite careful attention to detailed instructions. i ended up returning it due to it's failure to live up to it's advertised qualities. it might be good with pcs, but this was a bad choice for a macbook pro user. amazon was gracious with their return policy.

This printer was very easy to set up and start using. Although I didn't use the wireless feature at this time I am sure it will be easy to set up. Pictures I printed were of very good quality. I would recommend this printer to anyone who needs a printer to print occasionally and to print pictures. Although I had someone recommend an Epson wireless, based on reviews of both products I chose to buy this one.

I've had this printer for awhile and haven't had much occasion to use it yet, but when I have I've noted that it's pretty noisy on start-up, takes longer than I'm used to, to start printing but it's worth the wait! The picture print quality and text print quality are excellent, clear and sharp. Picture color is outstanding... this is an excellent buy!

I purchased the MX340 to be used mainly as a fax machine. That was a big mistake. I have to fax the same document to about 50 numbers each morning. This machine only stores 20 numbers for speed dialing or group dialing. I have to fax the remainder individually. I assumed that no one today would manufacture a fax with such a small capacity for stored numbers. The box does not tell you this, and I was surprised to find it out during set-up.You really need a dedicated fax line for this machine. It will work for incoming faxes without one but not without problems.The instructions are not well written for us novices. I called tech support several times and got different answers from different people. Nice folks but not all very knowledgeable about machine. I still cannot get some aspects of the machine to work as the instructions indicate.Good printer though, if that is what you are looking for.Just be prepared for some angst in following written instructions, calling tech support and using all features of the MX340.

I ordered this item and then did a move so was unable to setup and test the product until after the return window so can't return or exchange. So here I am with a printer that will not pick paper out of either the tray or the back. I get to deal with Canon repair instead of exchanging or returning and even though it has problems out of the box I get to pay more money to get a product that might work. Iam not sure Amazon is the place to get electronics and they definitely have areturn policy that does not answer needs outside of their box.

I don't print allot of stuff but when I need one I want one that is trouble free. This is my second Pixma and including the one I installed at my 82 year old Mom's house I now have experience with 3 (Canon Pixmas). 2 wired and one wireless. All installed on the first pass without issue and worked great. I'm familiar with computers but no expert so I was happy with the install. Ink setup seems a bit expensive but trouble free operation will make up for that.

I received this printer free as part of a package at a local CE retailer. While I would not I trust printing treasured photos on it, it has served well for my mostly basic printing needs. There is no wifi, no touchscreen interface and not much in the way of bells and whistles at all. But its extremely simple setup and operation, output speed, and compactness make it an acceptable option for around $30.

I have a Mac and my sister has a PC. We share the printer and the setup was a bit difficult, but it runs on wireless. It goes through internet WLAN, so we can both use it. It's weird how some people say that it is bluetooth, but that is optional. I didn't quite get to the bluetooth, but I manage to get it to my internet, so it's wireless. It works wonders with the Mac. It's super duper fast. Also there are many features on it like copy, scan, and you can double-print (print from front to back). The double-print was just what I needed to save paper. Great printer and it's fairly affordable. Unlike some other printers on the [...], that got me to get a Canon Pixma MP560. On the [...] site it was $150. On Amazon, I bought it for $80. Big difference.

Everything in this package worked as advertised. It's a good price for a good product. However, being a bit savvy myself, I skipped the "simple" installation.Everything was fine except for connecting the printer to my wireless router. I live in a condensed neighborhood and use channel 14 on my wireless G connection to help reduce interference from the dozens of other routers in my immediate area.After some extensive tinkering, I found the problem was most likely this wireless channel. I set my dd-wrt router to "Auto" and it chose channel 6. When this was done, the printer connected with no problems.One of the few times when choosing "simple" setup would have been better!Other than that, no major complaints!

The printer arrived as promised on time. Works great, but took a little work to configure it since my netbook has no CD or DVD drive. Had to download the driver software via customer service. That wasn't bad, but the instructions do not indicate any alternative to using the included CD. Otherwise, a welcome addition, since the printer is in a different room.

I was a little hesitant to purchase a wireless printer because I was worried about a complicated setup and slower speed, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase.Although the speed is a little slower than a wired printer, it's not much and once it's warmed up I don't even notice a difference.The setup was as easy as putting the CD in my disc drive. I had no problems at all (I have a PC with Windows Vista).I haven't needed to purchase ink for it yet, so I can't comment on the cost at this point. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one...The print quality is fine along with the scanning and copying capabilities. The lid can be adjusted to fit a large book or magazine. I haven't printed any pictures, but that was not a consideration when buying the printer since I prefer to order my photos online.

I just received this printer today from Amazon and it was an AMAZING price! It's a lot larger than I expected, but after having so much printer frustrations in the past, I don't even care about that anymore. Some reviews are saying it was hard to setup wirelessly, but I couldn't disagree more! It was SO easy to set up with the installation CD and getting it to recognize the wireless network. Took only about 15 minutes from getting it out of the box to printing wirelessly. I haven't connected my husbands Mac to the printer, so we'll see how that goes. I assume if you have the installation CD and booklet that it won't be any problem either. I really only plan to use this for scanning docs to my computer and printing, so I probably won't be able to say how the fax works...All in all, it has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with it. Did I mention what a great price too??? Wow.

Really love it. Picture quality can't be beat for the price. Battery life says about 80 minutes when fully charged. Video is grainy in low light, but is amazing for fast moving, or average lighting conditions. The IS is great, zoom feature is great, and it's smaller than you think. Haven't tried to do anything but print as yet. I find the machine noisy, more noisy than any other printer I have used. I started to set it up wirelessly, but found it more confusing than I needed at the time.I did call tech help during setup and was impressed with the quality of the help.

Wireless printing is great! I love the fact that I do not have to be tied down to a cable at my computer. Scans and prints well, use it for day to day printing, personal and some work related prints - no complaints so far. I do not print in color that much and so far I have not had to replace any ink cartridge. Very satisfied and it looks great too.

I don't like this printer. It's takes avery looong time to print one page. I haveyet to understand how a fax is received.The instruction manual has a section on'how to receive faxes' and when you go tothat page, it sends you to the onlinemanual. So if you're not at your computer,you'll just have to wait to learn how toreceive a fax. But then when you do getto the online manual it's even more difficultto understand.It was a cheap printer so what can I expect.Don't buy it. Spend the extra money andfind a more user friendly, and fasterprinter/copier unless you don't mind waiting whatseems like an eternity when you're makingmore than one copy.

I have owned numerous all in one printers and this one has turned out to be the most complicated to operate. No matter how many times I set it to always receive faxes since I have a dedicated fax line it often sends them to memory. It takes forever to scan a document as well. I wish I had stayed with the HP instead of switching to Canon. Will certainly not purchase another Canon when this one dies.

My old HP had bitten the dust, and this Canon had the features I wanted for the right price. I don't have a wireless network, so I had to use the USB cable from my old printer, but setup was extremely easy and quick. I like the separate feed for photo paper, which also works well for envelopes, and I like the output door that opens automatically. The printing quality is excellent. Setting it up to print photos is easier than it was on my HP. I haven't used it enough yet to determine how long the ink cartridges last. The lift-up control panel is nice, but the menus and buttons are not very intuitive. My main complaint would be the printing speed, or lack of it. When you first send a document to the printer, it takes a while to warm up, making all sorts of clicks and whirring noises, before it finally starts printing. Subsequent documents print a little faster, but nothing to write home about. The black-on-black alignment indicators around the scanner are hard to see. I like that the paper tray is hidden under the unit, and the entire printer has a more solid feel than my old HP.

Its a middle of the road printer.. and I've been using without complaint for ~2 years. Does seem to chew thru the ink, but I guess that's the business model now.. cheap printers, expensive ink.Recently tried to move it to a linux server in the house so we could share it amongst several computers. Alas there are no printer drivers that I can find.

I have been using this printer at work for the past 3-4 months, mainly for printing, copying, and scanning. I bought mine for $69.99 and feel I got an awesome deal. The print quality is great for business docs and scanning is fast. Love the paper feeder, this was a must for me. Only thing is that the ink can get pretty expensive. I bought the Canon inks at first but will look into the generic ones with good reviews. Also a tip, with this printer do follow the instructions about installing the software and do not let Windows automatically find the drivers for you. Believe me, I learned the hard way. I also own the MX870 and these printers are pretty simple to use. No more HP for me!

I have followed the directions closely, I've tried 3 times and it still does not work. The last printer I bought was an Epson I had it up and running wirelessly in less than 30 minutes piece of cake. I've been at this for 3 hours and nothing. I have a mac but that should not be a problem.

I was a little nervous about purchasing this printer based on the reviews I was reading. However, this printer is the BEST printer I have owned in my lifetime. It works GREAT! Print speed was wonderful. The Wi-Fi feature PURE AMAZING. I just love it...and IT WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP! Definitely would recommend to others!

Pros:*I LOVE the wireless function of this printer - it is SOOO GREAT! No cords to hook up and I can print from where ever I sit in the house.*I like that I can set it to default for printing on both sides.*Great quality prints too.Cons:*Pay attention to the measurements! I didn't. It's bigger than it looks in the picture. The pictures don't show much of the back protion of the printer (where you load the photo paper) and when it arrived I had a hard time fitting it where I usually have my printer. I started to shop for a new desk and at one point I even considered moving to a new house (*haha*). Well, I finally found a spot (that would allow me to keep my current desk and house).*Cartridges are expensive!

My old one went kapunk and doing my son's books I desperately needed a printer and fax machine...Received it the second day after placing the order....THANKS TO AMAZON and PRIME....
