I bought this printer after my second Epson died, and neither Epson had a long life. Not only is the color on this printer great, it was a piece of cake to set-up through my Netgear print server! With both my wife and I working professionally and three kids we have a network set-up at home, complete with a laser and color printer.The Epsons were a major pain to set-up on the network. This Canon i550 was trivial to set-up on the network. Stick the CD in, load the drivers, add the printer via the printer server software and print the test page. One minute, two tops; if you count walking upstairs to the printer from the downstairs computer (most of them are upstairs).I test printed some photos with regular white paper, and they look great. I can't wait to try this printer out with good photo paper.This printer is also very quiet. I am very impressed and highly recommend the Canon i550.

I spent more time and energy to find a digital camera than my apartment, firing my neurons away on such a life-altering event of purchasing a pocket camera. Being a middle class ladder climber, it was like taking a test with multiple choice questions. I compared prices as well. In short, I chose canon s200 for the simplest, clean design, and the hardest-looking, metal exterior. Whoever designed this camera, I can get along with. I chose Amazon.com instead of buy.com for the uncomplicated return policy.The price is high for a 2MP camera, but I didn't want to spend $500 dollars for a 4MP camera. I rationalized by saying to myself if I don't buy another camera later, spending extra 50 to 100 dollars more is worth it. 2MP will serve my purpose as I am not going to print out posters from this camera. Besides, I don't have too much wall space to hang them. It is a size of a cigarette box, but as heavy as a unopened Budweiser can. It would be nice if the camera came with a longer loop string to put around my neck rather than the small wrist loop. Don't drop it; don't lose it. 125 MP CF card should be big enough for anyone who behaves normally and takes a non-psychiatric number of pictures during a typical vacation trip. This camera is for someone with a sense of moderation. If you supersize your Big Mac meal, don't buy this one. This is for those who would rather take a picture of their children who will stand still and look up for 2 seconds if you are lucky. No time to waste, just point and shoot. If they want to try, let them; you can always erase it. Those who doesn't want to buy another digital camera shoud consider this one. I am not buying another one until I drop or lose this one.

I've used the s520 for hundreds of pictures (mostly 4x6) and still the ink is lasting and the colors are perfect. The image quality beats my epson and all the software works seamlessly with my canon powershot software.Recommended to anyone in the market for a printer

I have owned and used this printer for about 2 weeks now and it is by far the best printer that I have ever owned/used!. It is quick and easy to set up, you're printing in no time at all. It has both the usb and parallell inputs. It uses the four ink bays - black, and the three seperate colors so that if you run low on one, you just have to replace that one and not all of them or even the print head (like HP makes you). The main reason I purchased this printer was the seperate ink bays that saves alot of $$$. I recommended this printer for EVERYONE.

Pros:Small size!! Good quality photos for casual use. Lots of manual controls. Optical Zoom present. TV output useful.Cons:Heavy for it's small size. Takes some time to turn on/power up. Battery life could be better. Cheap plastic battery and memory card door cover (broke easily). Weak flash. Telephoto/wide angle trigger gets stuck with use. 8MB memory card it comes with is absolutely useless (I gave mine away).

...This camera rules. It's a lot of fun, easy to use, and takes great pictures.What is important to know, however, is that today.. 3 days into camera ownership.. I dropped her. From about 6 feet up.. onto asphalt. And it didn't break.. nor has anything weird happened. It's a little banged up, but this metal shell protects.. and if you drop stuff like I do, three days after buying the darn thing.... then you probably should get this.n over a week.)I recommend getting a carrying case (not included) and a 256 Mb memory card. For Amazon.com's low price, it's worth the extra few bucks to be able to take 400+ hi-res pictures between downloads to the computer.Also, to save batteries, I'd recommend leaving the LCD display turned off (hit the DISP button twice) when in picture-shooting mode. Just use the optical viewfinder instead of the LCD when you're taking the picture. (You can still see the picture for several seconds on the LCD after you take it.) If you keep the LCD on, the battery goes in a few hours. Unfortunately, there is no "low battery" warning.

I have been using a Olympus C-2020 for about three years now. I do enjoy the manual controls, but I didn't like the large size and protruding lens. I found myself leaving the camera at home when I wanted to take it, it was too big to fit in a jacket or pants pocket. Then came the Canon S400. The size of this camera is great and the build quality is top notch (nice metal casing), it fits in my pants pocket and I can now take it out more often for those events. Picture quality is fantastic and the movie feature is great (has sound and its clear). There are no real manual controls, but I can do with out them. Overall, I am very satisfied with this camera and would recommend it to anyone.

I would buy this printer again. Actually, I have bought it again, as a gift for a family member. I have too many great things to say about this printer. I know if you are researching what printer to buy, it can be difficult process. Short, sweet, and simple -- Buy the Canon i550 you will not be disappointed. It prints amazing color photos and it's not even categorized as a "Photo Printer". I have given photos to friends and family and they can't believe that the picture is the output of a $... printer. I've had my printer now since December 2002, and it has never once failed me, and never had to clean the heads. The replacement cartridges are reasonably priced, but after 150 black and white pages, 2 packs of Canon Glossy 8.5x11 and 4 packets of Canon 4x6 Glossy Paper Pro -- I don't see myself buying cartridges anytime in the near future. I have more than 3/4 of the cartridges left.

This camera is awesome! I've had mine for about 6 months now and I've been so happy with it. I'm not a camera junkie or professional photographer so this is perfect in that it's small, affordable and has all the features that I'd ever need. Very easy to interface with the computer to download images or the TV for easy viewing. You'll want to get at least a 256MB card for all the pictures that you'll take with this great camera.

I had an Epson Stylus Color640 previously and was very disappointed with the range of abilities it had. It did great when making pictures, slow and easy. That was okay but when it came to heavy duty printing, such as printing a novel on two-sided paper, it was terrible. The pages skipped and got all out of order- and in a three-hundred page book, that little error will kill you. Enter the Canon S520. What a marvelous piece of equipment. It is fast and accurate and allowed me to print an entire 290 page book, on two-sided paper in a little over an hour! I'm not kidding. As for the photos printed on the Canon, their special paper really brings out the depth of color and resolution. I also have the Canon EOS Rebel Ti camera (bought from Amazon last Christmas) and I couldn't be happier if you pinched me! Canon is a fantastic electronics company. Don't hesitate: if you're looking for a printer, this one is easily the best value out there!

This Canon printer works great in Mac OS X. I was using an HP Deskjet 812c prior to this. The HP drivers in OS X were just plain junk. Everytime I needed to print anything important, I would have to reboot in OS9 just so everything would actually print on the page. Now, I have this great Canon printer. It is exactly as advertised. The 4x6 borderless printing works just like they say in OS X. I like the fact that it has the 4 different printer cartridges. It will end up saving money in the long run. You could do a lot worse than this printer. For myself, I'll never buy another HP product.

I purchased this printer from J&R on a Sunday evening online and received it Tuesday...AMAZING...the setup was fast and easy, just make sure you purchase a USB cable because the one provided with the printer is quite short (2ft). The printer is wonderful, it prints text in the blink of an eye and photos nearlly as quick. Im astonished by the functionality of this printer. If your'e looking for a great printer at a great price look no further.

I love this little camera. I also have the elph APS camera. Easy to use on Auto Mode and good Macro settings. Even has a 3 minute movie option. Easy to load photos to PC and share. Good battery life. Light and easy to carry! CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about this great little camera!!

For the vast majority of the snap-shooting public, this tiny gem is probably the only camera that crowd will ever need. I see people on once-in-a-lifetime vacations using those throw-away cameras to capture life-long memories on 4X6 prints. If only they had this camera and a decent sized memory card, they and their memories would be much better served. I have made 5X7 prints from mine and they are excellent. The 4X6 prints look like they could have been shot with a Nikon or Leica. In fact, I do magazine photography with my 35mm cameras but recently shot a MOMA gallery opening with the Elph (only camera I had with me). The shots we so good, they went into a national magazine. The 2X zoom, while adequate for parties and such, isn't wide enough in tight spaces. (Most people who want the 3X zoom Elph crave reach on the telephoto end - I crave my coverage on the wide end!) The software and cables included to download from the Elph are adequate but if you buy a USB card reader, you can do your image transfers without tying up the camera. The size is perfect so you can take it anywhere and the battery life is surprisingly good. I did get a spare battery but have not needed it. I also bought a 128Mb compact flash card so I can shoot at max resolution and not have to worry about running out of "film." If you don't have a Digital Camera yet, get this one and you'll be hooked. - Here is a July 2003 update: Canon has improved this model with a 3 megapixel and 4 megapixel model. I tested the 4 MP version side by side with my 2 MP and could not see a quality difference in a 4X6 print. Thought you should all know!Go check out the Canon G5 - better in every way and the prices are dropping! A real bargin.

I bought this printer last week and I have yet to be dissapointed. For the price, the print quality is superb. Also, it was very easy to setup. It's a nice weight so it doesn't feel like a toy. I've printed several photos and they look just like they were developed by a professional. The key to great prints is to buy the best compatible peripherals, (quality photo paper and inkjets) and you won't have any problems. HP premium photo paper works well with this printer.I also used the hp everyday photo paper. The results were good for eveyday photos but if you want potrait quality prints pay a little more and buy the best paper. So be very weary of using the less quality stuff. You will be dissapointed. This printer comes with a package of 20 4"x6" Canon high quality glossy photo paper and I made some kickin prints. Another plus about this printer is that it doesn't use a massive amount of ink, which is great for consumers on a budget. So go ahead. Print a few pictures and have loads of fun.

Small and Super Sassy is the best way to explain this camera. The size is the best thing about it. I can put it in my pocket and take it anywhere. It takes great pictures for a 2.0 MP camera. I used Ofoto to get the pictures printed on kodak paper and you can't tell they are digital pictures. The only downfalls are the 8MB memory card they provide you with and getting used to the life of the lithium battery. Amazon helps with one of these downfalls by providing you with a free 64MB memory card that makes all the difference. All I want to add now is a carry case and few spare memory cards. I highly recommend this to someone looking to buy their first digital camera.

I would give this printer(if it is one) I rating of 0. I just received it today. First of all: no fricking USB cable included, and to make matters worse, it has NO standart printer port(I dont know how you cannot put a STANDARD printer port in a printer). Anyways I took my camera's USB cable and followed all the instructions and my comp did not detect the printer port! On the "Printer Guide" it said that if this happened, then I should refer to the Trubbleshooting chapter. Guess what: there is nothing about this error in the trubbleshooting chapter. I went on line at cannon's website, and read their FAQ (nothing in there either). After spending some time in their website I came accross the install instructions. Their answer to the error was to turn off the printer and turn it on again! It does not work that way either.And another thing, either the roller on my printer does not work or there is a serious flaw in the design of the letter-feeding component. Paper does not feed in the printer!!!Save yourselves some money! DO NOT buy this junk. I am returning it today!!!

As everyone else has noted, this is a very good printer for the cost. The performance will probably be sufficient for all but the most particular users. I just printed out a 8.5"x11" borderless print and cannot find a flaw in it. And the print out was relatively quick: 2'30" for a 1.5MB file.The printer comes with the following:- CD with 3 or 4 software programs, the drivers, and the complete documentation- quick start guide- (really) quick start poster which was enough to get everything running- sample pack of the Canon 4"x6" Photo Paper Pro- print head, ink cartridges, and power cordAs noted by other reviewers, a cord to connect the printer to your computer is not included. I bought a Belkin F3U133-06 USB Device Cable (6 Feet) which has the square connector for the printer and the flat connector for the computer. The printer can also use a parallel port cable, but I have not tested this.Installation was pretty simple and worked fine with my old ('97) Windows 98 desktop and my new Windows 2000 laptop. I've mostly used the Easy Photo-Print program to print images. It automatically makes the proper printer settings so you don't have to worry about that.Another nice feature is the Auto Power Setting available from the Maintenance tab. The printer can be setup to turn on when a document is printed to it and turn off after a certain period on inactivity.Anyway, highly recommended.

Having never owned a Canon product previously, I was slightly hesitant, but the S-series printers garner great reviews all over the Net. Besides, my HP DeskJet cartridges cost nearly as much by themselves (black and color).Having once seen a S600 demo print in Office Max, I was quite impressed...that's how I first happened onto the Canon brand. Well, I have to say that the S520 does not disappoint. To start with, the printer is very easy to set up. Definitely plug and play (at least with Windows XP, may need driver included on CD on older systems). Yes, you will need to get a seperate USB cable, but they're cheap, so it's a non-issue. One of the GREAT features of this printer is that the ink cartridges (4 in total) are all seperate! What does this mean? You don't have to replace ALL of them if one color runs out! Now why can't more manufacturers do this? In addition, the cartridges are cheap, so your overall cost of printing is very low.But aside from features and stuff, the Canon S520 is just an excellent printer in terms of quality and speed. Extremely fast with full page text and even color prints! Fast AND quiet! I think anyone who picks up this printer will be pleasantly surprised by the quality and speed at which this printer is capable of printing.UPDATE: So far I've purchased 3 of these printers. One for a system I built for a family friend, one for my girlfriend, and one for my girlfriend's sister. Definitely a great value.

This is my second printer I've bought in ten years. My first was a Canon BJC-600. It was a great printer, even up until the day I replaced it. But it was showing its age and it was way too slow. So I set out to get another Canon product. I had my eye on the S520, but was upset to find out that it had been pulled! Why? To make room for the i550, of course. So, two printerless weeks go by and finally the i550 hits the shelves. I run out and buy one ASAP for two reasons. First, my previous experience with Canon products, and second, I saw the S520 in action. I was very impressed with the photo quality, speed, and price. The i550 promised to be better and faster at about the same price as the S520.To make a long story short, if you're looking for an inexpensive printer...look no further. For someone like me who doesn't really use the borderless photo printing (as amazing as it may be), this is the best one I've found for the price. Best of all, it has individual ink tanks for all the colors! I like HP printers, but I hate the wasteful and expensive 3-in-1 color cartridges that go in them.For those who do a lot of photo printing, be advised that you'll probably want to use Canon paper. Although you can use other paper (i.e. Kodak) the ink and paper are all designed as a system. Therefore best results will be achieved with Canon paper. PROS: Speed, individual ink-wells, high quality, easy-to-use bundled software, low cost.CONS: Vibrates a lot when it picks up speed.

I shopped and shopped for 6 weeks for a new printer, I saw the i850 on Amazon, liked the reviews but wanted to see it in person before I bought. Nobody had one on the shelves! So I looked at other models, HPs ect., just wasn't convinced and I kept coming back to the i850. So, I stuck my neck out and ordered it. I am so glad I did because it is AWESOME! So quiet I have to look at it to see if its printing, so fast I can't go do something else while I'm waiting for my pages to print, and such great prints I'll never have to go to the drug store again! We are RVers and it travels with us and size-wise it fits nicely on the dinette bench next to the table. The delivery time was super and easily tracked. Amazon is AWESOME too!

I have to say that I was quite impressed by the canon s520. I spent 2 months reviewing and researching all the other printers, HP, Epson etc and for the price range canon s520 topped the lot. I was going to buy the s750, but I couldn't afford it, so for a midrange price, the canon s520 is the top in it's league. The installation went like a breeze, canon made the instructions simple enough that a 10yo could install the thing, although there's not enough instructions for the additional software that came with it(the photo imaging software), the default was the 3 options were all selected, but I wanted only to install the necessary, in the end I installed all 3 products.The pluses are:- one of the cheapest printers to run in cents per page, Epson c80 also matches canon s520, but the Epson costs...more to purchase in the first place- fast efficient printer- colour printing is unreal- separate ink tanks, for ink saving and cost efficiency,unreal! I looked at the other printers that had separate ink tanks, and the prices to purchase those printers, were way above my budget.- it's not that noisy as other printersAlthough this is my first colour printer, I was amazed at how close the colours were to the real thing. I've been printing out digital photo pics. Black and white text, perfect. I used standard ordinary paper, there was no blotching, no smudging or anything. Some things I noticed that was a bit annoying:- when it prints it shakes the whole table, I have a wooden table, and it's pretty sturdy, when I'm printing while typing away on my keyboard it feels like a mini-mini earthquake.- it takes about 10 seconds plus to initialise the print. The printer makes all these wizzing noises, and you have to wait a while before the first page shoots out, but then it's lightning fast.- oh yes the power cable is short as, it's about the length of two keyboards if not shorter. I had to buy an extension lead. I would have given it a 5star except those 2 points, did annoy me. "You can on a Canon, really it's true"

Have been using the i550 for six months now, much better than my old Canon bubble jet and does not use anywhere near the ink of my older HP inkjet. Blank ink lasts a pretty good amount of printing and the ink cartridges are much less expensive than either Canon or HP. I rate this a best buy product. I do a lot in color but very few quality photo prints so I can't rate those honestly.

I had this printer set up and running within 15 minutes of opening the box. Of course, I wanted to test it out, so I fed in one of the sample sheets of 4x6 photo paper and was blown away by the photo quality. I could not tell the difference in quality between the photo I printed and another copy which I had been printed at a local photo shop. I decided to try my luck with an 8.5x11 ... again, with photo-quality paper, the Canon exceeded my expectations.In the long-run, I hope that the ink tanks last a little longer than those in my previous non-Canon printer, and I hope the printer itself lasts as long as my more-than-5-year-old Canon BubbleJet.One caveat, however: be sure to use the Canon software to print your pictures. The image quality was greatly reduced when I used the default media viewer in Windows XP to print the picture. When I used the Canon Easy PhotoPrint, there were no settings to adjust--the print came out photo quality by default.

This was the first Canon printer I've owned and am kicking myself for not buying Canons earlier. The S300 is very reliable and unlike most other printers, after purchase it continues to be economical. Unlike most Lexmark and Epson printers (which I'm most familiar with), the S300 uses ink cartridges that are independent of the printer heads, cutting their cost by nearly 75%. Aside from the economic benefits of it, this printer prints brilliant and crisp color that seems to mix perfectly with black ink. On some of my previous printers, the black spots in photos looked a little dull or out of place because of the color and quality of the ink. This printer, if used with Canon cartridges will produce beautiful pictures every time.Then there are the added print features such as monochrome (which basically will print a black and white version of your picture), illustration (which will make your picture appear as if it had been drawn or painted), and other quality and color enhancing effects.Overall, this is an outstanding printer that is more than worth every penny. If you're looking for a printer that will print a report or photo with little problem, this is the printer for you.Pros:-Economical-Brilliant Colors-Reliable-Compact-Can print on large assortment of mediaCons:-Not the fastest printer on the market

I've been an amateur photographer for 50+ years. I've had all kinds of film cameras, including a compact Contax and a Hasselblad. The Contax was handy and sharp, but it used FILM, which meant two trips to the camera or drug store, one to leave off exposed film, another to pick up the prints, many of which were no good. The Hasselblad was a 'hassel.' You had to remember too much stuff for an amateur and it was big and bulky, not exactly portable or good for snapshots on the run. This Canon is terrific on all counts. It is easy to carry in a jacket or shirt pocket, so it can be whipped out at a moment's notice. You don't need to worry about settings; everything is automatic and the results are great. I have memory cards of 96 and 128MB, which means I can take 40-60 shots, review them in the computer as 'slide show' and quickly pick out the half dozen or so that are keepers. With film camera I was losing interest. With this compact, handy digital I'm a photo enthusiast again, even able to do nature close-ups. I highly recommend this great camera for amateurs. I'm told that professionals are using the higher priced Canons, not only because of the optics, but the graphics software.

This printer surprised me. For being the price that it is, (cheaper than replacing the ink in my HP) it is super. If the instructions are followed, it is very easily installed in under 10 minutes. It is small and lightweight, but powerful. It is alot faster than my other printer and the black ink is powerful also. The photos really shocked me though. With the enclosed photo paper, my digital photos looked better printed from this printer than getting them professionally printed from a photo-finishing website. This printer is one of the best in it's class, and unlike HP the ink is affordable.

A Canon (and Apple) printer fan, my husband purchased an HP deskjet. While it was sufficient, the colour was never very good for photos, so we decided to go for a new photo printer. For me, Canon was the only choice - we are thrilled with our purchase. The colour is brilliant and photos are sharp. It also handles regular paper very well, and produces good quality documents. This is certainly an excellent buy for someone who wants a decent printer at an affordable price.

HP has let quality seriously slip, and Epson thinks the printer future is with cameras and not computers. So the perennial also-ran, Canon, has stepped in with this worthy successor to the S750. The i550 is no great breakthrough product. Inkjet printers have become settled commodity items. And they are becoming very cheap. So the question is whether quality has suffered. For the i550, the answer is no. The ink comes in individual tanks for economy and has been reformulated so as not to fade. Speed is comparable to older Canon models and is faster in every mode than most Epsons and HPs. It is interesting that draft mode shows little degradation from standard mode for text and graphics but is noticably faster still and will be the setting of choice for all internal documents. But neither will you be ashamed to send anyhting you print in standard mode out into the world. The type seems crisp and black and the colors are true, at least to my eye. This is not a photo printer, but to I think it produces pictures as good as any printer(assuming the right paper -- I used the samples from Canon), though real purists may want to invest more for a real photo printer if that is your main use. This is an office printer, and though it has camera-type software, it has no slots for memory sticks. Overall, it's a good all-around unit at [money] and I don't miss my old Epson a bit.

I saw this printer advertised online .... I decided to take a chance, figuring i couldn't really be disappointed with a printer that was this cheap. To my surprise, the text looks great and the picture quality, while maybe not good enough for professionals or perfectionists, looks very good. Especially when you consider they came out of a machine cheaper than many color cartridges. If the rebates are still available and you want a printer that can print out decent pictures without breaking your budget, then this is the machine for you. For people seeking a machine that can pump out hundreds of photo-lab quality pictures in seconds, you shouldn't even be looking at printers this cheap. A great buy, though a USB cable would have been nice.

This camera works exactly as expected. Price-functionality ratio is perfect. The 2X optical/3X digital zoom is enough for working or with-the-family trips. If you are traveling with your laptop and-or the family's typical pile of bags, you will love to place it anywhere, including you shirt pocket (do not bend), without sacrificing pixel resolution (OK...2 megapixels are not too much nowadays, but is enough on these kind of voyages) However, be aware that standard battery is not eternal. You can solve this problem playing with the LCD on/off or buying a high-capacity battery and adding up muscles enough for longer trips, or too much to see. A greater MB compact flash card doesn't hurt too.

I am an actor who is fortunate enough to be related to a professional photographer. After going to him and getting 300 digital photos taken for a headshot, all I needed was a printer. I read the reviews, and took my chances with this one. Some of the photos were taken from my knees up, and I trimmed them so that all you could see was my head and shoulders. Then I printed them onto 8 1/2" x 11" high gloss photo paper. (Consider how much the pixels expand in this process.) When I brought it to some people in the business, they couldn't distinguish it from a photo! Of course you'd need a very high quality digital camera produce something like this, but I am very impressed that a $... printer was capable of handling the task. Also, you can buy the ink cartidges for very reasonable prices. If you plan on doing a lot of photo quality prints, this will save you a lot of cash.

I do alot of on site photography and this will now allow me to print right on sight. The quality of the prints is very acceptable, it's especially nice to be able to print borderless prints. This printer should be more than acceptable for anyone wanting to document their family growing up and send the pictures to Grandma and Grandpa. I have been a professional photographer for almost 30 years and this is one of my favorite tools.

I bought this "refurbished" printer at a bargain price a year ago and could not be any happier with it. You don't have to replace the ink cartridge with one $$ investment. Instead you buy $$-$$ individual cartridges only for the color run out. Its great. I love the quality of the colors. Its my favorite printer ever.

I have a 12" G4 PowerBook and wanted a portable printer for the cabin and other remote locations. Saw the i70 at the Apple Store and knew I had to have it. Tried it out this weekend and am VERY impressed with it's speed and quality of print. Also amazed at the minimal size and weight...about the size of a hardcover book. All in all, it seems like the PERFECT portable printer for a laptop owner.

This is a fantastic printer! I had a Canon printer before this one, but my primary reason for buying it was the individual ink tanks. Having to buy a new color cartridge when just one color runs out was stupid and wasteful to me. When I saw this printer used the individual tanks, I immediately bought it to replace my broken (then) current printer. And I'm glad I did. This new printer is faster, quieter, and prints excellently! I highly reccommend the Canon i550.

I compared the S200 to a few other digital cameras under a variety of conditions, indoors and out. The S200 was a winner with respects to size and weight, and took decent photos when lighting conditions were optimal. Wide angle performance of the S200 was the worst of the 4 cameras compared (Sony F710, Olympus C-50, Kodak 260). The poor wide angle performance may be due to the tiny optics, the small CCD size, or both. In optimal light, the S200 did a credible job for a 2 mb image size, but lacked the color saturation and contrast of even the Kodak 260, the oldest technology in the test. The Olympus C-50 is about 20% larger physically, has more than double the pixels and costs about twice as much, but outperforms the S200 in virtually every category, particularly indoors when a flash is needed. The coverage of the S200 flash is simply inadequate for most shots.

Either I'm doing something wrong, or there are just no printers that are compatible with a Macintosh, but this particular one really bites. The quality is marginal considering the reviews I've read here and elsewhere before I bought the thing.It is fast, it is quiet. There is a dull fog over everything it prints, and colours are anything but exact. If you want print quality get an old Epson photo700 (mine died, and it was noisy and slow, but the quality was incredible).Borderless prints? Not yet, anyway. I wasn't particularly interested in this, but it is supposed to do it and, well...If you've been using a dot matrix printer, or have been living on a desert island for the past twenty years, the quality of this machine will blow your mind. While some have had problems with text, this, I think, is the least of this machine's problems. Spend the extra cash. (Epson's ink meters are a joke, seemingly running out of ink after the first page or so, but if you disregard them, you can print for a long time, and to great advantage, as far as I can see).

I bought this printer because my old canon stopped working. This printer prints ok, but it is noisy. It warms up like everytime i would print. But overall, for the price of replacement ink cartridges, it is a pretty nice printer.

I bought this printer based on both the many positive reviews I found on Amazon and Canon's Mac support (I use OS X). Installation was painless and I am now producing fantastic borderless prints on Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy in seconds using iPhoto. Less expensive than the HP Photosmart 130 I was considering, and the HP only prints 4x6 and the Mac support is not as good. The quality is a little better than the HP Photosmart 230 used by my roomate, with the same camera.Bottom line: a great value for a photo printer and especially nice for Mac users.

I was less than pleased with the quality of the prints from the printer I already had when I tried to print pictures taken with my digital camera. I wanted a new printer, but didn't want to spend too much money since I already had one that is a 4-in-one, so I knew I wouldn't be getting rid of it. A friend suggested this model and from the first test print, I was impressed. It even prints graphics just as beautifully. I made some very professional and clear business cards for my mom, and she doesn't want to give them out because because they look so nice. This is an excellent buy especially for the price. I would definitely recommend it. I use the Canon for things that I want to look especially nice and I use the other one for regualr day to day things.

I purchased this camera for a trip to the UK. It is my first digital camera and for the $ the features are fantastic! Although I did purchase an extra battery, I did not have any problems during my 10 day trip. The quality of pictures is fantastic and even in lower light this camera performs. Granted I am not the most well-versed digital camera owner. I am learning as I go and, for a beginner, this is the perfect camera. Each feature is easily attainable in the manual and there is no confusion when trying something new with your camera. So buy it, enjoy it, and spread the word. This is an excellent digital camera with superior features and quality for the $!

Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, and easy enough for a complete technophobe, this little camera packs a lot of features into a very sleek, compact package. Photos taken with this are crystal clear and look as nice as the ones I've taken with another digital camera that was 4X the price. Battery life is limited, so purchasing an extra to keep on the charger is a must.The camera seems rugged enough to handle everyday wear without breaking, although a protective case would have been a nice addition. Canon, you got it almost 100% right with this little guy.

Sure, there are more sophisticated cameras with higher resolution, but if you are looking for a great value in a mid-range digital - this is it. Excellent build quality, compact and easy to use, stylish, convenient and with more features than most casual users will ever use, this is one super camera. Complaints are few: Batteries are proprietary and pricy (though quite long-lived), only 2x zoom - that's about it. The optional leather case with belt loop is a nice addition. With a 128Mb card you can capture 120+ hi-res images and an amazing over 1400 at low-res! I can fit the camera, extra battery, battery charger, cables and PCMCIA card reader in a case about the size of a paperback book. Highly recommended product!

This camera is great. It takes great pictures, is very easy to use, and fits into my smallest purses! I am not a big time photographer, but this camera does the job. I bought the cannon i-850 (i think) printer and i swear you can't tell the difference between the pictures I print and the pics you get from the store. I highly reccomend this camera to anyone who is interested in a digital camera without all the bells and whistles!

Prints landscapes nicely...flesh tones are horrible!!! Unusable! Anyone want to buy mine? I've manually changed the print settings, cleaned the heads, nothing helps. My old $50 Epson makes better prints. No one else here seems to have this problem...maybe I got a lemon. Stay away from this one!
