I use a MacBook Air as my main computer, (which pretty much necessitates that my peripherals work seamlessly over WiFi),So I was a little apprehensive when I saw reviews from people who were having difficulty getting the MP560 to work wirelessly from their Apple Laptop.Fortunately, I saw the review by Otto Olah (5.0 out of 5 stars Works flawlessly with Mac Snow Leopard, October 18, 2009).He was right. I did exactly what he said: I left the packaged software in the wrapper.. downloaded & installed the latest drivers from the Canon website[...]- MP560 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 10.26.1.0 (Mac OS X 10.5/10.6)- MP560 series Scanner Driver Ver. 15.4.1 (Mac OS X 10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6)- ICA Driver (Mac OS X 10.6)(the latest as of this writing)and voila.. One click printing and scanning from anywhere in the house! The whole process took ~30 min.

For the price, I think it would be nearly impossible to find a better wireless all-in-one printer/copier/scanner. This printer was a breeze to set-up and works great. I highly recommend it!

I bought this printer in August 2009 when I returned to school. I have used it to print things for school and some general documents. I am completely saisfied with the printer. I would like to note that it comes with one round of ink, so you don't have to buy ink when you buy the printer unless you want to. The printer is really good on ink usage, I don't print a whole lot but I have barely scratched the surface. I print wirelessly from my laptop and have no problems. I have also used the scanner, which works perfect. I don't have any complaints what so ever, but when I print a document more than a page or two I always end up with an extra blank page somewhere in the mix. It doesn't do anything to hinder the print job, put there is always that extra blank page. I just put it back with the rest of the paper. No problems.

Received the printer in record time from Amazon. Setting up the printer and using the printer in the wireless mode was a snap. A child could do it (my son set ours up). Very good prints, cheaps inks are avaialable ($15 for 5 black cartridges on EBAY).

This has to be the best printer/scanner/fax/copier Ive owned. the wireless feature is awesome!!! It will have to be seen how long it performs at a high level, but so far Im loving it. All the positive feedbacks is why I purchased this model. Ink is not to expensive if you shop around also.

This printer has a large footprint, is noisy and the wireless set-up is not easy or intuitive. Print speed is just OK. Print quality is good+. It's new, so I have not yet printed photos.

great for the price.. we all know the ink is where they get you, but it's still amazing what $90 can buy. after reading reviews here and wondering what i was in for regarding an installation on my wife's mac mini (osx 10.5), especially since i'm not a 'mac' person. it was fine with the instructions & disc included, and then before actually trying it i installed updated drivers from the canon support website (which is confusing btw). mac's 'software updater' didn't automatically find an updated driver (grr..). i'll return to my comfort zone and install it via wifi to my xp & win7 pcs and update this review if i see fit... but as far as i can see this was a great deal.

Easy to set up-other than you have to buy a USB cord to go with it. Works great, I have a high yield and it's holding up great! Looks good in the office too

It works great with VISTA and the wireless feature is so useful. So is the fact that you can scan something and it automatically appears as a PDF on your desktop. Highly recommend, even at twice the price!

When I buy electronics I always look carefully at the description. I clearly saw a Bluetooth logo on the description. What I did not see was right under it it read (Optional). What does that mean to me? Ill tell you what I thought. I thought that I could use WiFi or Bluetooth, my option right? Let me tell you what Canon thinks. And this is after looking all over the box the manual on line everywhere to see how to turn on Bluetooth. I finally called Canon and asked where is my Bluetooth, after a runaround about why I do not need bluetooth when I could use my WiFi (I don't want to use my WiFi). I finely found out that I have to buy a USB dongle for an extra $50 to have Bluetooth! Then Why use the Bluetooth logo? When comparing prices I had no idea there was a hidden $50 I have to account for. I would have bought an Epson, that has it to start with. Clearly misleading statement and use of logo under Features. Then a little hint in the disclaimers #5 that is more confusing then informative. It reads like I need something for my phone and not the printer. I don't print from my phone, I don't know a single person that prints from a phone, so I disregarded it.I give it 1 star to pull peoples attention to this. The customer service was great, and the printer is amazing but NO BLUETOOTH!.

I just got this printer the other day. I spent a lot of time trying to make it talk to an older computer via usb cable- wouldn't do it. So I had to switch this to work with newer laptop and put other Canon printer with other computer. Fine. The wireless feature is really great. I have been using an MX700 and I have loved it for it's ease of use. I should have bought its update. I just tell it to print and it seems to know what it needs to do. I assumed that this would be as easy. However, with only two days on the job, I find it is so much more complex. I have to micromanage the print settings every time I want to print something and don't dare hit print without first previewing what it thinks I want to see. Also, the settings don't appear to default back to "standard". If the last thing you printed was on 4X6 photo paper, even it there is full size paper in the feeder, it will print 4X6, even if it was turned off in between. It is really a good thing I had to match computers- my husband uses the other computer and he would hate this printer. It is too much work.

This is a GREAT printer for the price!! AND it's wireless. I had a snag setting up the wireless, but I think that was just me, but once I figured out what I was doing wrong, it was so easy! I haven't printed any photos on it yet, but I just bought it for b/w copies and scanning docs mostly. For that and the price...perfect!

The Canon PIXMA MP810 is everything it says it is. Printing is sharp. Photos, when printed on Canon Glossy Photo Paper, are better than what I get from a photo store (like Wal Mart). It will also print from slides with the included slide holder, and these prints are sharp and clear as well. Scanner works extremely well. I am 100% satisfied.One issue that was handled quickly and professionally was that the first one I received had a factory defect (some kind of red glue-like substance was stuck to the underside of the glass platten, and showed up on everything scanned.) I notified Amazon and they sent me a replacement printer, with all costs totally covered, in just a couple of days. In fact, I got the replacement printer before I could get the defective one boxed up and returned, with the shipping also covered by Amazon. Amazon is a quality organization.

The printer is just what the better reviews had to say about it. I haven't printed any photos yet and can only attest to the quality of printing reports, spreadsheets, etc. The price was more competitive through Amazon than other on-line retailers.

First non-Sony camera, but I felt this Canon gave biggest bang for buck.The screen should be drool-proof ;-) Like an iPhone 4.Face recognition. Ultra light. Many options.Downside is that it is USB and does not load into FCP. Seems to load viaiMovie and will figure a way to cross that bridge.VERY HAPPY

I think for the price, this printer is a great deal. I love it and I find it very easy to use. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a printer. The regular ink kinda runs out fast so I would suggest the bigger XL version. But other than that no complaints.

This is a good little printer. I set it up wirelessly in very little time, very smooth process, excellent manual with very informative pictures to guide you through the process. The print quality for documents is very good. The only drawback, so far, is that photographic prints show very orange flesh tones, exactly what was reported by professional reviewers. I would not use this printer to print photographs for this reason. However, I did not buy it for that, I needed a good, economical printer with good print quality for documents and this printer fits that need perfectly.

I realize the other reviews may be more helpful for those looking for actual descriptions of the printer's abilities, but I wanted to take a moment to warn those who may be interested about one particular problem. As someone mentioned, the ink cartridges have chips used to identify them. While this may seem like just an harmless way to ensure Canon ink cartridges are used, it turned into a larger problem for me.My father and I both bought the same printer, and although we use them for completely different things and live in two separate households (so it isn't something someone's done to the printer) - the printer just stopped recognizing the black ink cartridge entirely after about two months of use (and I've only used mine a total of about 8 times). It gives an error message about not being able to recognize the cartridge. I take it out. I put it back in. It gives the same error. When it first started, it only happened a few times and it would eventually work, but it doesn't work at all any longer.Although mine has just sat useless on my desk, my dad actually went so far as to contact Canon about it. They sent new, free black ink cartridges the first time. When the same problem happened again, they replaced the printer. When the same problem happened again, he decided to buy a different brand.

I have owned several printers and this one has been the best for ease of use and setup. Prints slow in color but worth the wait, great color. I have not used it to print any pictures but feel it will prove to be just as good or better than what I have owned before.

It's a nice printer and scanner, but no all-in-one should be without an Ethernet port, and wireless should be without 802.11n. For those 2 reasons I gave it a 3.

This printer has excellent print quality and the printer does not take up a lot of space. The only wire on my setup is the power cord. It Prints well up to about 8X10 prints. The scanner is also pretty decent for scanning in small photos or documents. The software itself does what it is supposed and it has some features for cleaning up red eye and cropping. I wish it had some tools for removing or changing pixels like photoshop but I know that may be asking for a lot for the price point. The software was not difficult to setup except the fact that it had issues printing which was relating to the printer object it creates. I am an IT professional, so for me I knew to delete there printer object and create it myself using the XP wizard and supplying the driver and IP address of my printer. However, I can see that being annoying for a home user and not so easy to get working. I set it up on a Mac OS X, and a PC so the compatibility with both is there an works. I also have a secure wireless network so it works with that as well and I have not had any issues and it has been up and running and getting used a few times a week for about a month.

Having finally given up on the countless HP color printers that I have tried, I recently purchased this one because the price was right. From the opening of the box, the entire experience has shouted QUALITY in every way. While my inexpensive HP printer felt flimsy and cheaply made, this printer feels like a high-end luxury car. I am completely satisfied. (I am using it with an iMac running Leopard.)One caveat: I am an occasional print user and usually only 1-2 pages per job and maybe two jobs per day. If you need high volume printing, this printer is NOT going to suit your needs. It is relatively slow but for my needs it is a perfect in every way.But that is not all! The scanning function is absolutely fool-proof. You scan (one page at a time, manually) and it uses the same USB connection as for printing to send the scanned file to your desktop. It is also so intuitive to use that I have never opened the users manual since I initially installed the printer.

I've had this printer for 7 months, and have been pleased overall:- wireless connection is great- double-sided printer is a fantastic feature- quiet- easy set up- nice looking and features are pretty easy to use- great price on Amazon.However:- I find it uses a lot of ink. I don't print photos, and mostly print occasional pages from the web on draft setting, letters or resumes but the black cartridge is already empty, and magenta almost gone. This seems like more usage than my old HP all-in-one.- software to manage and edit scanned pages is OK, but could be more user-friendly.

I bought this printer because it received such good reviews from this site. The fax does not work. The photo print feature states it can't print because there is no usb connection when there is. An 8x10 letter can print but a photo cannot. The scanner magnifies anything scanned in to 8x10 size when I want it to scan to the actual size. What a headache!

I purchased this printer to replace a regular epson inkjet printer. After researching printers and reading reviews I discovered the Canon MP560. I have had the printer for 2 weeks and am in love with this printer. It has everything I need and more. It scans, copies, and prints quickly and beautifully. I recently printed a picture using my epson picturemate and canon mp560 and the canon put the epson to shame. Great value and buy for the money. I did struggle with the installation but not at the fault of the printer but more so because of blonde moments. The wireless set up took no time at all and works like a charm. All in all I am more than pleased with my purchase.

After owning both an Epson and a HP Photosmart, this Canon all-in-one is a breath of fresh air. I already own a Canon digital camera and used Amazon to research printer deals before the holidays this year. Neither of the other two were wireless, neither were all that easy to use, and neither communicated especially well with our mixed-platform household (we have both PCs and Macs). I am impressed by the scan quality and how easy it is to tweak scanner settings to get the most out of each picture or drawing I digitize. All of our laptops can print to it from anywhere in the house. Once or twice we have had poor wireless connectivity, but it's very rare. I suspect if we located the printer more centrally in our home, it would have never been a problem. (It's in a home office at the perimeter of our townhouse, on the first floor. The farthest point away from it would be the second floor bedroom.) I would definitely recommend this product.

This printer, is hands down wonderful. I have never been driven to review an object like I am for this one. This printer was effortless to set up, literaly less than five minutes from the box to printing. Hooking it up to my wireless connection was so easy my technically challenged mother could do it.I rather like the display and scrolling techinque which is almost Ipod-esque but simpler and with more tactile feedback.The preloaded templates are extremely useful and very welcome. Some included: a caledar, checklist, lined paper, and graph paper.The printer itself is actually rather sleek looking comes very well packaged in the mail.Print quality is excellent and the week it's been in my office has not shown any damage to it's ink levels.This does not come with a USB cord if you were planning on hooking it up directly but with the ease of wireless setup it's not an issue to me.I would highly recomend this printer and am already planning on picking up another one for my home.

This printer prints quality pages, once it starts printing them. It'll be at least 2-3 minutes from pushing ON before you can do that, because of all the cleaning it does. I have a 10 year old printer that doesn't need to do this at all and in any case prints faster per page.This printer is huge. It's noisy. It also costs more than 10 year old printers which still print better after all these years. I've stopped using it.

This is the first printer I've bought that wasn't an HP. It is a wonderful product and so far, I'm very impressed with it. It was fairly easy to set-up so that was a plus. The print quality is great and I really like the lower cost of the ink cartridges (HP cartridges have gotten expensive). The other features work great from copying, scanning and faxing. The only thing that was a little unexpected is that the printer itself is bigger in size so it needs a little more space (it's more square than rectangular). It's a great value for the money and the quality is great.

This is the second (and additional- not a replacement) Canon printer we have bought since abandoning the HP printers and they just get better and better. Set-up is complete and easy and operation is flawless- unlike the HP's. While the Ink Carts are a bit "pricy" (and quite comparable actually to HP's in price and use), the quality and ease of installation is flawless. The Canons just tend to "disappear" as a Printer because they just sit there and do exactly what is expected of them without the continual tinkering required with their competition. Definitely recommend!!!!

There are lots to dislike about this printer. It is tedious to set up. The interface is difficult and non-intuitive, really bad actually. The wireless print function is slow, even when the computer, modem and printer are right next to each other. The ink smears when the page comes out, it takes over a minute for the ink to dry. There is no power save function, so you either leave it on with bright lights always glowing, or you manually turn it on and off when you need it - but make sure you don't try and print when it is off, otherwise it doesn't see the printer and you'll have to either re-start you computer, or re-add the printer to the print manager each time. Wish I could do it over.

I have had this printer for almost a month and I love it! Great price and low ink cost for a multi-fuction printer. The only thing it does not do is fax, I do not have this need so it is great for me.Pros: great picture print quality, great overall print qaulity, two different paper tray opitions (tray and rear), wireless, front memory card slots, fast print speed once first item prints, and low cost ink.Cons: large footprint and slow to start up

I just got this beautifull piece of equipment and I just love it, the seetting up right out of the box was so easy to load the sofware it didn't take more than 5 minutes, the on computer screen control feature is really nice, setting up the the wireless was as easy as getting a new computer on your network and the the printer setting with all the options that it gives you is a nice option.Over all a nice all in one machine if you get it you will be happy.

I really like my new Canon all-in-one. I had no problems setting it up and I love that it takes the place of three devices. It freed up space on my book shelf because I got rid of my old printer, my scanner, and my fax. It prints beautiful pictures and I have had no problem printing checks from Quicken or printing letters or screen prints from the web. My only complaint is that the ink is not waterproof like my old epson printer.
