Великолепно

This Canon printer has features and capabilities to accommodate photo and text printing, that many other brands don't. The ink tanks are much larger than the Dell All-In-One that I had previously. So, you're not trying to replace them so often. It appears that the tanks are refillable, although I haven't tried it.

This printer was a great investment. The print quality is up to point. I like having the flexibility of printing from my pc and wireless printing from my macbook pro. It's a large printer, which is a downside for me since I am living in a college dorm room, but it would make a great home printer. It is definitely superior to the two dell printers I used to own. I would recommend canon printers to anyone.

The printer is excellent. There was some set-up required, but I was able to get the printer up and running from the box in 30 min without reading any instructions. Also, the wireless printing option is amazing, and the set-up time for that is minimal as well. I am extremely happy with this product.

This is a great all in one printer for household use in term of value and performance. It is very affordable for all the features that it has. The built in WiFi connection is very convenient for me. It can print both sides of the page, too. You cannot beat it for the price. Set up is a breeze.

This printer is really good on ink. I've been printing tons of photos and the ink level is still high. It was a little more than I would have like to spend on a printer but it is worth it in the long run because I will save a lot of money on ink in the future. The 2 ink cartridges are not that expensive either. The wireless printing feature is really a plus.!!!

I bought this item because it received so many high ratings. I have had it for about a week or maybe two and it has an error message that will not go away and there seems to be no known fix for the error. It is a very large and bulky unit as well. Personally, I would not buy this item if your shopping around.

This is exactly what I wanted, expected from the description, and hoped was true about all the other reviews. It's pretty compact, not too heavy, and a snap to set up. My only problem is that it doesn't communicate SUPER fast with the wireless network, but ultimately that matters very little because it's wireless at all! :) I love this printer and I really can't believe it was so inexpensive.

I thought nothing could go wrong given the high review, but was a bit disappointed. Could not get this printer to connect using WPA. I tried the AT&T U-Verse router as well as the Linksys WRT54G v3.At the end I had to downgrade the security to WEP, and this printer only connceted to the linksys but not the other one.This printer is most happy when I disable all security on my wireless network.Default setting black and white on plain paper is pretty pathetic in quality actually. I had a i950 before and most of its prints were letter quality. With this printer you have to set to high quality for printing documents, otherwise it would look like inkjet print outs from 10 years ago.$[...] bucks though.. great value so I probably shouldn't have expected too much

Pros:-shipped in one day while I had two day shipping-wireless-easy to set up, if you follow the directions word for word (note: I have a mac and followed the Canon directions, not the ones left by a previous reviewer, and I had no issues!)-great product, especially for the price-photo printing-the price!Cons:-it's pretty large, but that's not a huge deal-it's not the fastest printer, but that's also not a huge deal eitherI would recommend this product to others! You really can't beat the price!

I was initially looking for just a scanner when I came across this "all-in-one" unit. The setup to the wireless was easy; the installation was easy; the print quality is very good. The 5 separate ink cartridges had me worried at first but if you get non-OEM replacements, the cost is a little over $1.00/cartridge. For what I am using it for, it is great. Also, there is an APP on the iPhone which will allow you to print from the iPhone directly to the printer, wirelessly.

Great printer. Got this on a Daily Deal at a good price. After reading reviews I pulled the trigger. I have NO regrets. I got this for an office printer...now I want one for my home. If you can read and follow directions, you should have no problems setting this printer up. I don't have wireless capabilities at work, so I found a USB cord and it works just fine.

Otto had given an excellent review early on how to set up this printer. I just bought it, and found a much easier way to do it, so just want to share it.Basically, you do not even need to download any drivers nor using the setup cd provided by Canon.All you have to do is have a usb cable, connect it with your mac and the printer. Mac will detect the printer and will install the drivers for you. Do this for every mac you want to get connected with the printer.You can then set up the wireless settings in your printer. If you like, unplug the usb cable from the printer and the computer first. You set up the wireless settings in the printer, make sure the connection is active on the printer screen. Then, for each mac, go to System Preferences -> Print & Fax, click the "+" to add printer, select Default, then you will find the scanner and the printer listed.And the next step is... enjoy!

I got this Canon powershot S500 last week of July' 2010. So far, I don't have any major problem with this camera. It's so easy to use and navigate the control features. Simple to understand the manual and sent it up in the computer. All you need to do is read the manual and follow the on-screen intructions to download the CD into the computer. Pictures was so vivid, clear and sharp in color. This is one of the good Powershot Camera made by Canon. Good Job!

Everything works as advertised. The printed setup instructions are a bit unwieldy, but once I got into the CD provided instructions, everything went smoothly. Good product, my second Canon printer, but first all in one from Canon. Very pleased, thus far.

I've owned quite a few printers in my day. This one is definitely forgettable. The sluggishness in creation of a print outcome, and fair colors to pictures printed using normal settings (Vista) make me less likely to purchase again from Canon.Wireless set-up was hopeless and I'm an advanced, not expert, computer user. Most recently I had bought a Dell printer which also surprisingly had wireless set-up failures.If you're reading this and shopping, try the newest Dell V313 which I purchased for my GF: worked better than its predecessor and around the same price.

To duplex print, you have to take the pages and put them back into the paper tray. I hate doing this since I end up having to wait for the front to print so I can turn the paper around and load it for the other side.

I bought this printer for my son going to college. It worked once and now will not load paper. This printer is a cheap piece of junk. It is also our first and LAST experience with a Canon printer. Save your money and buy something more reliable. Canon should be ashamed to sell stuff like this. I'll go back to HP or Epson now.

I'll admit I didn't do a lot of research before buying this printer--I was so fed up with my HP printer that I just needed a different printer fast. Upon receiving this printer I ran into only one problem in setup--it doesn't support wireless N networks. This means I would have to slow my entire network down to Wireless G speeds in order to use the wireless functionality. Additionally, there is no ethernet networking capability so I couldn't connect it to my wireless router via ethernet. I was able to print wirelessly by plugging the USB cable into a USB port on my router so my router works as a print server.Not a huge deal, but I would have preferred to not pay for wireless capability since my setup couldn't utilize it. Again, if I had done a little research, I am guessing I would have been aware of this before purchasing. I hope this saves somebody from buying a printer that won't work on their wireless network.

I have been using this printer for a month and it performs beautifully! Great value for the price. The wireless printing is flawless. The printing software package is very useful for setting up the photo printing. My one regret is that you can't customize the layouts beyond the templates, and you are limited on your selection of paper types when you want to print. IF you want to print photos, for example, your only choices are types of photo paper, which feed from the back of the printer. IF you want to print photos on card stock, you can't use the layout feature unless you let it think you are printing on photo paper. This is a minor inconvenience for the great quality prints this printer produces. The colors are vivid and the auto-correct feature works wonders with photos I printed. No "bad" prints.I haven't used the card reader yet, so I can't comment on that. But for basic wireless photo printing, I haven't found better.The scanner/copier works great. Scans quickly and produces good quality copies with very little deterioration.

This is by far the best printer I have ever owned. Super easy to set up, easy to use, GREAT intuitive web printing. This is a great all around printer and the wi-fi feature simplifies life. The only gripes I have are:*the photo print quality is good, but not great.*the ink is outrageously priced (although most printer inks are)other than that, it's great. My whole house (7 computers) can all share the same printer, which makes life easier and definitely cheaper than having to maintain the ink for 7 different printers. I do look forward to the day that printer ink becomes more competitive price wise, there is just no way that the materials and labor add up to even a third of the cartridge cost.***UPDATE***This printer has been claiming to be out of ink for about a month now. Although I don't print every day, and haven't tried to print any photos since the initial warning, it is still printing! I bought more ink but wanted to truly let it run out before installing the new cartridges as they were expensive, but I am still waiting.

I've been fed up in the past with having to buy overpriced proprietary cartridges.What you will need to refill:1. Power Drill(Bought one for about $20-$30 at Home Depot2. A thin drill bit (forgot the radius, I just went to Home Depot and asked for the smallest one available)3. Black ink refill Kit (You can obtain one on eBay for $5-$10 depending on whether you buy in sets like I do. The kit will include an instruction manual, a syringe, and a small bottle of ink).Instructions:Create a tiny hole at the upper portion of the cartridge underneath the sticker where a small imprint is located. After making that hole, use a syringe and fill it with ink. Push the syringe needle through the hole you've created until you feel the needle pushing through sponge inside the cartridge. Squeeze the ink in gentley.The only downside to this approach is that I have to go disable to printer monitor so that Canon's manual page counter can't force me to replace my cartridge. To do this, follow these steps:Go to1. Canon Utilities2. My Printer (folder)3. My Printer (application)4. Printer Status5. Option (top left)6. Uncheck "Enable Status Monitor"Last part:Reinsert the cartridge back into the printer. The printer will still whine that the cartridge is empty. With the printer on, hold the "Stop" button down for 5-8 seconds. Whining begone.Eventually this ink cartridge I've been refilling is going to dry out permanently one way or another. At that point, I'll be buying another one.But you get the idea. Save tons of cash. Pay a few bucks for the price of the typical $20 cartridge.

The set up was very easy. Within 20-30 minutes, I could print from all the computers in my network. The printouts were good, I also use the copy function regularly. All in all an excellent printer/copier. Yet to use the fax/scan feature - so can't comment on those yet.

We had a wireless router installed by our desktop, so we could use our laptop's wi-fi to connect to the Internet. At the time, I didn't occur to me that we could use other wireless devices with it. Seeing that this printer could function that way cause me a little concern to begin with - but Canon's video made it sound like a no-brainer.Well, yesterday I installed it. It was pretty easy, except for entering the router's 26-character security code with the PIXMA's little wheel on the control panel. That was rather tedious, but I got it done. I am already seeing the advantages of having a wireless printer.It replaced a Kodak ESP 5 (don't get me started about that piece of bleep). The PIXMA cost about $60 LESS than the Kodak, and seems to be better in EVERY respect.I can't comment on its photo printing capabilities - I have another Canon printer specifically for that purpose.

Delivered in pretty good time from when ordered. Was able to set it up and have operational in a short period of time. I use it now WiFi for my Desk Top, my Laptop and my Daughters Computer in her room. Works very good. I think it was a good upgrade from my older wired multi-function printer.

The 75 minutes I spent with tech support trying to get my Mac OS X running Snow Leopard to set-up and print was one of the worst experiences ever.Their customer service at Canon needs help. First, getting through the bad menu system led me to a woman who could not have been more clueless. She had me download and install and tweak multiple items, then kept trying to get me to interface with non-existent items.Finally, after over an hour with her, and threatening to send the printer back, she transferred me to someone who was able to get me to the promised land.When I did finally connect, printing wirelessly took well over a minute to print a very simple text only page of "Testing printer"I would NOT recommend this printer to Mac users or those on mixed networks.I expected much better from Canon.UPDATE:Once the printer was finally set-up, it seems to work for both Macs. It is much more seamless now that we have since jettisoned all PCs.To address the comments:+ it was Canon tech support, not Apple.+ 4 stars. Just because set-up was a pain and mixed platforms slow, doesn't mean it is not good for other people+ Thanks T.A. for the link to the set-up blog post2nd UPDATE (4/2011):The wireless connection kept being lost. After troubleshooting router and printer multiple times, and paying significantly for ink cartridge replacements, we purchased a Brother DCP-9040cn Color Laser Copier and Printer with Built-in Ethernet Network Interface.After 6+ months of using this printer we have had no trouble with print quality, wireless connectivity or anything.

This machine has everything I need: a wireless printer, wireless scanner, and copier. I'm even happy that it doesn't have a fax feature that these devices normally come with, which is something I'd never use anyway. Canon always makes quality and stable products.

This is a great printer and so easy to set up. Someone was complaining about the password needing to be in all caps... don't know what he was talking about. My network password is all lowercase and has numbers and symbols in it. This printer accommodates the lowercase letters plus all the symbols. It was recognized wirelessly instantaneously by my Windows 7 PC, and I was up and printing wirelessly within 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. Also works great with iphone too. Instant pics from anywhere in the house. Love it so far!

I recently bought the Canon MX340 after working with a HP PCS series for a couple of years. I loved the HP but the Canon has so much more to offer. It's bigger but not by much.The one area That canon has fallen down on is their software. Specifically the scanner software. If you are using the document feeder to scan multiple pages, the scanner makes a ridiculous number of duplicates that are saved to your PC. It also misnames most of the duplicates. This forces you to spend a lot of time checking and deleting a lot of useless images.IF Canon fixed the scanner software they would have a 5 star product.

The scanner is greast, does duplex, multi sheet. Awesome. Printer is also very good, except that ink is expensive. My problem with this machine, and I will be replacing it as soon as I have a little extra money, is that the FAX feature absolutely SUX!!!!!!!!! Beyond Belief!!!! There are no instructions in the manual for other than the most basic fax operations, no instructions online, and when you finally take the time to reach a tech support person, they get sarcastic with you. You would think faxing would be pretty basic and simple, but like another reviewer on here stated, once an ink cartridge gets low, all faxes dump into memory instead of printing. Figuring out how to get them out of memory is very, very challenging. There are different methods for getting a received fax out of memory than for getting a sent fax out, which is a whole nother set of frustrating issues. I'm sitting here, trying to receive one fax, someone else has tied up my machine with a fax they tried to send, I can't figure out how to send their fax or delete it, and I can't receive mine until their's is out of the way. I'm ready to beat this thing to death with a baseball bat, I'm so stressed out over the stupidity of the FAX funtion. How could you possibly make faxing difficult. It's almost as if they went out of their way to design stupid steps into faxing, and then laughed as they just didn't bother to put any instructions anywhere. None, not in the manual, not in the users guide, not online. NO Where are there instructions on how to use the fax features of this machine. Thank God I don't need to fax often. Although the rest of this machine is pretty good, because of the fax problems, I would Highly Recommend that you DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!!!! REally. I mean it. It SUX. I hope this helps.

This printer is as good as any HP I've ever owned. Setup was a breeze using windows 7, no setbacks whatsoever. Both text and photo printing are excellent. At 79.00, this was almost a steal and I'm more than glad I decided on this one. If the generic cartridges work well with this one, I'll be very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a terrific little printer, especially for the price. It is easy to use and easy to set up. The print quality is excellent. I have only had it for a short time and have not had to purchase new ink cartridges yet so I can't comment on the longevity of the ink, but so far so good. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit.

I've had this printer for about a month now so please don't base this off a longterm use of the product. Since I've only had the printer for a month I cannot comment on ink usage since I use the printer once or twice a week. So far the printer has worked well. I have a Wireless network setup (802.11 b/g/n) and the printer connects without any problems to both desktops on my network. I was also able to connect the printer via WEP (128-bit) and WPA-PSK/WPA-PSK2 Personal. I found that you will need a link strength of 50% or more and signal strength close to 70% for a smooth run on print and scan via the wireless network. I love that the scan can be setup directly on the printer for you to send to the computer as PDF/image. This really cuts down on my time to convert to PDF which is a very nice feature. Standard Printing good quality - better than my old HP PSC 1210xi. I particularly like how the MP560 can print individual photos rather than letter size photo paper (requiring you to cut out). The borderless printing is VERY NICE - I haven't seen any issues with bleeding or off colors (using a canon high gloss paper). The power cord is slim and good length - no bulky adapter to deal with, especially when you have a power strip that has been taken up by other large adapters. As I mentioned the ink I cannot comment on at the moment for usage but the installation of print head and cartridges was very simple - just follow the directions to avoid any damage. Sorry this isn't very technical but I figured I'd just put a comment up for a nice wireless printer at a good price. I didn't see any other reviews but wanted to point this one out as a good printer. A very good quality photo printer, it has a good photo editor that I did'nt expect, good printer. Good as a photocopyer. Easy to set up wireless, that I loved it. It is a little difficult to learn how to scan and edit documents to save as pdf files, but it has many advantages that I thougth. Good product for its value.

Machine has functioned as advertised. Had some problems installing the driver on my laptop using the enclosed diskette. After several fits and starts, I discovered I had installed the printer three times. Go figure. After deleting the extra printers, everything worked fine.Wireless setup went fine as per manual instructions.

Spent almost 2 days trying to get this to work on my system that runs Linux. No dice...just wouldn't recognize it no matter what I did. Amazon took it back no problems. Great looking printer. Printed a great looking test page. Quite noisy when printing, though.

The majority of the reviews on this printer were very positive;therefore,I was anxious to buy one.I finaly got mine home and ready to install.Oh joy! Not!I tried to install as the directions were printed.Then I tried to install from the internet. Next I called for tech support.Spent two hours with the tech and still no go.Tried again a week later and another hour with tech support.No go.Finally a my 80yr old friend came overand he did the installation with one call to tech support.That tech was so good.Now trying to print pictures...now I do have a few problems printing pictures.The print quality is very good.I would buy this again since I know the way to fix it.

For the money, this printer is much more than I would have expected. It is a big plus to have separate ink cartridges. The setup was easy, the print quality is good and you can get 3rd party ink at a fraction of the price. In addition the printer has duplexing and wireless. What is not to like. The printer, scan and copy features all work well. Far exceeded my expectations.

Alright, I haven't bought many printers like this to compare this too so I will try and keep this short and sweet. The setup was simple, adding it to wireless was easy too. I haven't printed any photos yet but have had this for a few weeks. I like that there's a duplex function (Double-sided) and the ability to scan to image or PDF is great. You can be at your PC and scan what's in the bed, or go to the printer and specify a PC you want to scan to.As of now, Windows 7 x64 has one issue I've noticed. Telling the printer to scan to a PC (With Win7x64) fails and the PC throws an error. I don't think there's been a drive update just yet. However you can still tell the PC to scan, I think this might be some permission issue causing the problem but am not sure. Just seems annoying to put something in the printer, walk through a few rooms to the PC, and have to say to scan.Anyway, I suggest this for anyone who is looking for a printer upgrade, the price is right and it's loaded with features. If you're a photographer making prints, maybe you have more criteria to judge this printer on but I'm happy with my decision!

I have a Canon MP830 multifunction printer connected to my Mac running OS X10.5.X. In many ways I find the Canon unit to be functional and more than satisfactory. I print the occasional photo and have been please with the results, although I have to admit that I am increasingly using photo printing services because the results are overall better and there is little wastage of ink, paper and time to get good results. The scanner works great and I love the sheet feeder on it. I use the fax for outgoing occasionally and it works well enough. Copier function is fine as well.Most of us know that printer companies really sell ink to make their money, and Canon is no exception. I have long noticed that my Canon is constantly pestering me about replacing a color ink tank when I haven't been doing color printing. These tanks ain't cheap. If you buy canon inks, a 4-tank (CMYK) pack is going to set you back about $45 discounted.After being hit up by my printer for yet another color tank, and knowing I have printed no color images lately, I investigated more carefully. Referring to the Canon support website under "greyscale printing", which is the only such option offered by the printer driver. I find the following words:" Color ink may be consumed even when printing a black-and-white document or when black-and-white printing is specified."I started looking into other models of the Canon multifunction printer sets and found the same answer for this and other models.Just be aware, that with simply modest B&W printing, you are going to go through a lot of color ink. Since I can buy a B&W laser printer for less than $100 now, I am strongly considering this option, and relegating my Canon to scanner/fax service only. A rather big disappointment, because I don't like being taken advantage of. If I were shopping again, I would look carefully at the KODAK printers simply because they are making a marketing point of the abuse consumers have been suffering at the hands of the other ink vendors.
