I love the easy setup. This is my first cannon and I am so pleased in the how fast it is. All the features are easy to use, scanning , coping,faxing etc. I have only used it once to print photos was not happy with the quality but am hopeful after tweaking it I will get what I want from it. Did not buy it for photos printing. Have not had one paper jam and to me that is important that is why I got rid of my last printer it jammed all the time, no matter what I did to fix it.To use in a home or small buisness office I would certainly recommend it.

Not much to say..Real great printer..bought this last week and I love it..Setting up was kinda easy. Loving it each day..I didn't know it worked with 5 inks..If I had known I wouldn't buy it but it aight still. Would recommend buying this anytime....Print quality is great as usual with all canon printers and at first I didn't know where the papers should go and found it they have to go in tray underneath the printer..Its nice..

When I first opened the box I set everything up and I could print scan and all. Suddenly, the print stopped allowing me to scan from the scanner and only from the PC. Obviously it is connected or I can't do both. It just kept saying "set the pc to start scan". I looked everywhere and could not find a solution.

I've been so tired of the bloatware software/drivers that come with HP's. My company has one of the high end Canon machines in the office so I thought I would try one of their home machines. Setup was easy. The software/driver install was easy, did not take forever and did not load up my machine with bloatware crap. It is a straight forward easy to use software and machine that works. I have no complaints. I will be buying Canons for now on at home.

The printer is easy to set up. Purchased with the bluetooth option. The printer works effortlessly with the bluetooth connection (small dongle that fits in the bottom front of the printer) but willl not scan this way. The only way you can scan is with the usb wired connection, or with the wireless connection. Software sets up well, but tries to scan using the bluetooth giving errors not warnings.Altogether though, it is a good printer and, as a printer, produces good results.

I love this printer. It was just as easy to setup as people said. My netbook doesn't have a CD rom, so I downloaded the driver and was hooked up in no time. Very easy to operate also.

I have had this printer for only a week, but so far I have been very impressed. I am not a technical person but I was able to connect the printer wirelessly to my laptop in under 25 minutes. I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7. The instructions were fairly simple. The print quality is impressive, the photos I have printed so far have been as good as if I went to any photo retailer. Text documents printed very nicely as well. The only negative (and I am nit-picking) is the print time is fairly slow, but I am using it for home use so it does not bother me. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a quality printer for around $100.

This replaced my last printer, the one I bought from a different company in February 2009. It is a night-and-day difference with my new Canon printer. (Sounds like an advertisement but it's not.) Everything about it is so much better. I have already printed more pages than with the other but I had to replace the ink 3 times on the old one (so that means I went through 4 cartridges)to print on less than a ream of paper. The replacement ink was close to $50 so I'm already saving money with my new printer. The wireless part of it works well. I don't know the technical jargon so bear with me. My printer is downstairs and my wireless router is upstairs. Everything communicates well with no glitches or interruptions. I am so happy that I made the decision to get a new printer so soon after getting the other. I would like to see the print a bit darker and I'm sure I can change a setting somewhere but I haven't taken the time to figure it out.

Only had it a couple of days but everything seems good. Easy setup with all wireless computers and good quality scanning and copying.Duplexing works good.Haven't printed pictures yet, but all seems like a good deal.Of course went down some this week from what I paid last week :(

Easy to set up except the instructions asked for a SSID for set up. Asked the Apple Genius about this number and received the answer that they didn't know what that was. Used set up instructions general for Apple and it worked well. Otherwise, all was well. Shipped in a timely manner. Printer is quiet and prints very well. Highly recommend.

I purchased this printer as a Xmas gift. It is an awesome purchase. I am always toooooooo lazy to leave any review for any online purchase, even I do shop very often on amazon. However, for this printer, I really wanted to say something good about it, so the buyers who are still shopping or hesitating can benefit from my experience. I am not super good with computer stuff, but I think the setup is very easy and I had no problem for the machine to be up running in about 20 min. It scans, prints, and copies at decent speed. It does duplex printing, and I love it, so we can save TREES!!! I have never used other photo printers, but at least I am very happy with the printing quality of this printer. The only complaint is when it is printing, it does get a little noisy. However, it is overall a great product. We absolutely luv it!

I really like this printer. It prints good quality photos on Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II and also Staples Photo Plus Glossy Paper (which is less expensive). The only problem I have had printing pics is with greens. I have found that if the green in the photo is not a bright green, I have to saturate the green in the photo to get a nice print. The printer is a little slow when printing but very quiet. I have found that Amazon has the best price on the ink cartridges. I print all my own photos now--even the ones I sell.

I've had my Pixma for about a year. It has not been a carefree year, but pretty close.Let me start out by saying that the support Canon provides is EXCELLENT. I get emails returned within hours of sending them.Here are some things I like about the MP530:* It's very easy to use. There are a minimum number of button pushes to do even complex stuff, like FAX settings. The menus are intuitive. The manual is clearly written* Color on glossy paper is photo-quality. If you print color on standard paper, you need to set the quality to highest or you will get some lines.* You can over-ride the ink-tank empty message. Non-Canon ink works fine if you can get the ink safely into the tanks (see below). You can buy non-chipped generic tanks and just move the little chip over from the Cannon tank.* You can send FAXs from other networked computers (kewl!).Stuff that's a pain:* Ink. In order to fill the Canon tanks, you have to use a special tool the ink company will send you to remove a little plastic ball which is on the top of the tank under the label. It's doable and actually not difficult ONCE you get the hang of it. Once it is out you pray the rubber stopper seals properly or the tank will leak. If the stopper holds, which 4 out of five of mine did, you're golden from then on. This whole process is not for the faint-of-heart. Another option is to buy either chipped or non-chipped tanks. Non-chipped tanks (half the cost) require a chip transplant which is not hard to do. Occasional (maybe once a month) error messages saying your tanks may be empty. Not a big deal. Of course you could make Canon happy by simply buying their ink, but what fun is that?* The scanner software is a bit clunky and stupid. I'm not sure what a serious scanning person would do. Buy alternative software? I don't mind it though.Over-all a damn fine printer!!! It copies great, scans great, prints great and FAXs great.

Only thing is it's a little difficult to figure out the wireless configuration and then it takes a second to send through wireless but besides that it's very fast and very easy to use. Also very durable and good printer.

Easy to use for technophobes, takes great pictures, portable, durable. Only issue is sometimes there is a delay in the camera that makes it hard to get one shot right after another. I haven't found the setting to control that, and maybe there is one, but I'm not sure. Also, it seems to take a while when pressing the button to have it flash sometimes, so if you have an active child, you may want a camera with a more sensitive button.

I purchased the iP90v in the hope of using it at Special Events and Fairs. I needed a photo printer that was relatively light with the added option of being able to print directly from a camera. The iP90v certainly lived up to my expectations when it came to those two options. With a 'Picbridge' compatible device like my Canon 30D I can print pictures directly from the camera without using a heavy laptop computer as the middle man. The iP90v also comes with computer software that let's you print from a computer if you wish to to do so.I'm not sure if others had the same problem, but downloading this software was extremely difficult and complicated. It took me a few hours just to get it right compared with my other 2 printers which were pretty much plug and play. Luckily this printer came with a very good 'English' only manual that did a very good job of pointing out mistakes. The computer software gives you the options of organizing your photos, and minor editing features such as color balance, red eye removal, brightening or darkening of the picture. There are very few options when printing from 'PicBridge".This was my main gripe about this printer, because I read that PicBridge does give you the option to edit photos inside the camera, but NOT with this printer ! The printer came with 1 pack of 25 sheet 4X6 paper, but I ordered 3 more packs - 50 4X6, 25 5X7 and 25 8X10 Glossy sheets, because I wanted to see how the printer performed under different conditions. For plain old text this printer is great, very fast and very sharp. You can get an A4 in about 1 minute.For photos, this printer has a tendency to underexpose(darken) your pictures. My best prints are the ones that were originally over exposed by about 1 stop. I called Canon about this and after the service Rep took 3 minutes to read the manual over the phone, he told me that my best bet would be to over expose my pictures by 1 stop when using this printer. I figure I could live with that since my camera has automatic over/under exposure compensation, but it's still a hassle.How did the prints come out. I would say I got some very acceptable looking pictures in all three formats 4X6, 5X7 and 8X10 in about 4 minutes. The colors match up well and there was no smudging even when using Glossy paper. I would say that somebody at a Special Event, or at a Fair might find the prints from this printer very acceptable indeed. Whereas someone paying for a professional portrait, or fine art work would not. The minute details are just not there. To be fair, however, I have not tried all the types of papers this printer can handle and which might give me better results than plain old Glossy.Durability ? The printer is solidly built. I wouldn't call it a Tank, but it does feel pretty solid. I still think that for travel, a padded case or taveling bag would be a very wise purchase. One thing though the paper feeder door latches are made of flimsy plastic and don't look durable at all. I figure they are going to be the first to go.I haven't used this printer much to say whether I love it or hate it. So far it does a pretty good job of printing Color and B&W prints on the go. You can also print custom made stickers and labels with it. Not bad especially the stickers part.One thing the manual does not mention is the amount of prints you can get from a single ink cartridge. I called Canon about this and they were pretty evasive about it, rather stating that it depends on the situation. Finally a rep told me that you could get about 185 4X6's on the Black ink catridge. About 400 4X6s with the Color ink cartridge. I found those numbers astronomical since I dont think my much bigger Epson printer can get as many prints from a single cartidge. Maybe the rep though I was talking about Text ? I'll just have to wait and see.

This was my first multifunction printer. I have always been leary of them because if one thing breaks you're out the whole machine.The MP560 is a very intellegent machine. I like everything about it. From the quality to the feature of the front paper recieve panel dropping down automatically if you forgot to do so before hitting print. The wireless was a breeze to hook up and get running. Super quiet except for the scanner...which makes a little sound when scanning, but I think its more noticable because the rest of the processes are so quiet. Anyway, I am really happy with Amazons shipping (got here fast with normal shipping) and thier price was super! ThanksCanon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer (3747B002)

I have always loved Canon printers but when you run out of color ink you can not scan or fax even though you don't need ink to scan or fax. Nothing works until you replace the ink. You can't even print black and white text document until you replace the color. Other printers don't require that you buy color ink to print black and white which makes sense.

This is a good printer, fits my small space, and has some nice touches like the drawer opening automatically and closing nicely -- almost assisted, like a car door. Having said that I can't get duplex to work well with my Mac on a consistent basis. I think it's a setting, but the network scan feature works with the Mac and it's a good printer overall for the price. Can't judge on the ink usage yet. I'll just accept it. I'm not photo printing or anything. I looked a while and if you can get this on a deal or discount, get it.

my new printer works so much better than my old one and has so many wonderful features. I especially like the way the memory cards work in it and the instructions are so easy to follow. I am 70 years old so they need to be easy as I have not kept up with all the latest electronic devices.

A fairly decent printer for the price but it sucks down ink like you wouldn't believe. Right now, I have 4 cartridges ready and waiting to replace the ones inside the printer. It got so expensive to keep buying Canon's cartridges, that I am trying different suppliers to find something more economical.The print quality is ok, the printer is NOISY, and definitly _not_ the fastest printer on the market.When this one breaks (which I know it will) I will not buy another one like it.

I am so glad I purchased this printer. I ordered it late Sunday night and it was on my doorstep Tuesday when I got home from work. (Good job, Amazon!) I set it up myself and I'm not the greatest computer guru who ever lived and I got the WIFI to work - which was a big component in my reasons to buy this one. I looked at the more expensive printers in this series, but I am quite satisfied with the speed and quality of my photographs. They really are very nice! I was able to print photos from my computer or with the memory stick inserted into the printer. I have had not jams or problems and I am having so much fun working on a scrapbook project with this equipment. It's a big improvement over my old HP. It's a good choice!

I've had this printer for about 3 years now. I hate buy new printers because there expensive and you don't know what your going to get. I researched before I bought and wound up with this. It was highly recommended. Why can't any printer company sell a bullet proof printer? Now I'm back researching.This printer has issues with ink. I don't print much and everytime I use it there's an issue. Ink is WAY to expensive and if you even try to recieve a fax or print a B&W document and a color cartridge is low, forget about printing anything. I just defaults and doesn't do a thing till you get a new one. Can't even trick it into thinking theres a new one in there. Faxing? As previous poster said it has issuses. If you like to fax stuff don't bother with this one. After about 6 months it's been making this god awful noise with gears grinding. Thought for sure it would break but, it keeps going. The search continues...

I actually bought this printer from a large warehouse store (name begins with a C). It gave me trouble during setup two times. Once the instructions were not complete, and also it didn't know when it had paper in the cassette sometimes.It then worked fine for 2 days. Quality of text printing was excellent. Color looked good also but I didn't print any photos.Third day, it gave me an error message that the print head was not inserted correctly. I took it apart and put it back together but no luck. After calling canon, and trying what they suggested, it still wouldn't work. The tech was very friendly and good at his job but he ended up giving me the name of a service center to take it to. By that time, I didn't have too much confidence in the printer so I returned it with no problem.When it did work, it was fine, but it didn't work very long.

Ignore the folks that say this printer has issues with OS X. I use it vi WiFi on a network with a PC (XP) and a Mac (Snow Leopard), and everything works fine. The printer itself has a pretty intuitive operation and a nice menu system. All the options are there to get it working on pretty much any WiFi network. Quality is good and speed is fine for me (although I'm coming from a ~4 year old printer). I would agree that the software is perhaps a little clunky, but the necessary features are all there. I especially like being able to scan on the device and send the result to a machine of my choice. As others have said, forget the CD and download software directly from Canon to ensure you get the latest version. One thing that is slightly disappointing IMO is the need to have the printer actually turned on before printing. I'd imagine this isn't necessary via USB (though I haven't tried), but when using over WiFi it is. Regardless, I'm very satisfied with the printer thus far.

After recently purchasing a wireless laptop we decided to build out our wireless network with wireless printer. We have looked closely at HP and almost pulled the trigger but I went to my trusty Amazon and found this super buy on Canon wireless printer. Shipping was free and quick (as usual) and I was so relieved to find how easy the wireless setup was. Everything worked together (first try) and I was very impressed with the quality of photo I printed as my second print test. I give this product high marks, just as also do for Amazon.

I did have some trouble setting up the wireless connection. Then I followed the instructions on the little viewer on the printer and it made the connection. When I cannot remotely print, it is due to the wireless router, which is not reliable. So, by rebooting the router the printer go on line.Photo print quality is OK, but I'm used to a high quality Canon photo printer which give me excellent results. I like the duplexing feature, but don't use it much. I do like the twin paper racks. One for photo paper and the other for plain.The noise is reasuring rather than bothering.

This was an excellent buy. We got it for $85 when it was a Gold Box deal a few weeks ago. It linked to our wireless network seamlessly and we have no trouble printing from our computers. There is even an application that I installed on my phone that lets me print over the network. The printer does not have to be hooked up to a computer. We have ours in our back bedroom out of the way and it just stays connected to the wireless network no matter what. Print quality is excellent except on some matte photo papers, and then it is only a little bit grainy, but other than that it is great. It isn't very loud. I feel like I can print while people are sleeping nearby without waking them. Overall this is a great printer that I would definitely recommend for anyone who has a wireless network. It is so nice to have the printer connected to the network all of the time.

The printer was easy to install and set up for wireless networking. (Running Vista Home Premium.) Print quality is good as expected. Still waiting to see how expensive it is to keep it supplied with ink. Past printers, Brother, HP, Lexmark and Cannons seemed to be quite "thirsty" and consumed ink even when not in use. I like the fact that this model has a separate ink tank for printing black text and another black for use with pictures.

I have had this printer for over a month now. It doesn't get used daily but often enough. Ink usage seems to be low compared to what I have read about a lot of other printers in this class. The wireless setup was fairly easy and has worked perfeclty. It's not the fastest printer especially when doing two sided but fast enough for home use. Quality has been excellent.So far it has been one of the best inkjet printers i have owned which were mostly HP.

This is an amazing all-in-one printer. 4"x6" pictures look like they came from W@lmart, amazing picture on photo paper. setup took about 10 minutes. Wireless setup was very simple and took about 3 minutes to complete. Very, very quiet when it prints, as I have it on a bookshelf and thought it would shake the 5-shelf bookcase, but I can barely tell its even printing. Used the SD card function and it pulled pics from card in about 3-5 seconds and showed on LCD.... extremely fast flipping thru pictures on card... almost instant... then takes another second for pic to become super clear on LCD.If you can get it for $70 its a steal!!!! a really great little printer. This printer replaced another Canon that I had had for about three years. The printhead finally went out on that one, and if you have ever replaced a printhead, you know that they are expensive, and sometimes the new one doesn't last very long.I have had this printer for about a year now, and I paid about $10.00 more for it than the cost of a new printhead, so it is a great value. This printer takes 9 different camera cards and has a small display that you can look at your pictures in prior to printing, without having to go to the computer.The output, no matter what you are printing, is excellent. I am sitting here looking at a photo calendar I printed for 2009, and it looks like it was done in a lab. It just prints really, really good photos.The printer takes 2 multi-color ink cartridges, one being a standard tri-color cartridge and the other a tri-color photo cartridge. They each cost about $25.00. At this point, I have spent enough on ink to buy another printer or two. Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?The printer software will try to tell me the ink cartridge is nearly empty way prematurely. Like, I will have 3-6 weeks of ink left when it starts to nag me to change the ink. When I first got the printer, I bought that once. I thought the ink cartridge that came with the printer started out low. Nope, next time around, same thing. Now, I just ignore the warning and wait until I can see for myself a degradation in printing output. This is my only dislike for this printer, and why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.The footprint of the printer is kind of wide, kind of tall, but not very deep. Mine doesn't take up much room on a standard printer stand. It is a reasonably attractive printer.

I use this printer/fax very sparingly because of the problems. One, the ink disappears after very little usage; The cartridges are so poor that the ink is simply drying out. Very, very, very disappointed. I have older, smaller printers that the ink last 5X longer! Secondly, the memory light has a mind of its own. it lights up saying there is a document in memory, when you go thru the step process to print from memory, there is nothing there. I've powered down/up hoping it will reset, but theres that light again. after abt a week, it goes out! Third, the fax documents will shift and cut off the bottom of a page. I've tested this with Canon customer svc where they would fax a doc to me and sure enought the bottom is cut off. NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.
