I replaced a 10 year old HP 2000 Business Inkjet with this printer. The cost was below buying three of four new HP replacement printheads and I no longer use a parallel printer cord ... I'm out of the dark ages. I can easily access this printer from any of the computers I have - a desktop and three laptops - one being a MAC.

Although I haven't been able to set up the wireless printing with my laptop (apple) I easily got everything setup on my pc. The printer is fast and solid. I'm happy with this purchase.

My old printer was not compatible with my new computer so I did my research. For the money I could not be happier. This is for home use and I have not tried everything it can do yet but so far it has been an excellent choice. I love the wireless feature.

Product was easy to setup. Using the printer solely for cake and cookie projects, at this time. It printed on frosting sheets and wheat paper with ease. Colors on frosting sheets were very good. Used SD card for transferring pictures and gif items. Some limitations on size of output but more time needed to get use to the options.

I did research when deciding what printer to buy and had been looking at the earlier model the canon mp620. I decided to wait until the mp560 was released because it had a couple extra features. I purchased it on August 28th and it has worked well since.I use it mostly for text and occasionally for photos, 8x11 and 4x6 both. I have not yet replaced the ink though the indicator says the black text ink is halfway down.I was able to follow all the instructions for inserting the print head and the cartridges. I selected the password method to hook up to my network just like I do with computers connecting to the network. It worked flawlessly and I can print to it from the laptop or the desktop.The software is easy enough to use and the red-eye fix is nice for my family photos, though obviously the software isn't that complex like photoshop. It is less intrusive than the bloatware I used to have with the cheapo HP printers I had purchased in the past. It also doesn't need to constantly update like that hp stuff.I went for this mid-priced model and it works every time. No longer do I have to wonder if the (hp) printer will choke up on me, or pull too many pages through, or say 'no paper loaded' when there is some.Scanning and copying work fine. Recommended.Edit: Addition 12/7/2009: works fine with my copy of windows 7.Pros- Wireless for multiple computers- Duplex is great for longer text printing jobs- 5 separate ink tanks- ReliableCons- Slow (but it doesn't really bother me)

Though we haven't had to use this product much yet, it was easy to set up. Ink was installed without a mess. Despite a little bit of noise, it prints quickly. The fax, scan, and copy features are also easy to use.

I've had this camera for 2 months now and am very happy with it. It's easy to use, the picture is (obviously) great and it takes very nice still photos which allows me to take only one camera along most of the time. Would advise against getting the built in memory as the price of SD cards drops quickly. Only possible complaint would be the battery which only lasts about an hour. Would also be nice to have a viewfinder since the screen can be hard to see in bright light. Not a deal breaker though by any means. Easily compatible with a mac.

I am satisfied with this printer. Print quality and speed is great. I haven't tried scan function yet. Only con is that set up guide is very confusing but I was able to set up using bit of an intution and reading some reviews. Everything works great for me so far. I will recommend this device.

This allows the printer to remain compact and clean when not in use and ready to go when i need it, especially when I am printing wirelessly. The front card slots are another great addition to this unit. I am very happy with this purchase. This is a great printer for the price. Under a hundred bucks and you have a printer/scanner/copier all in one. The wifi feature is really nice and works flawlessly. It took me a few minutes to set up but I have not had to fiddle with it since. Another great feature is the paper tray automatically opens when the printer receives a print job.

The first printer we received from Amazon printed stripes. AFter many updates and attempts, we could not get it to work. We called canon and they offered to send us a refurbished replacement. Considering this was only a week old , we told Canon we didn't want a refurbished one and we contacted amazon. amazon sent us a new one instead without question. go amazon!!! The second one works perfectly and Canon has given us great phone support 3 months in. We had an HP 8500 pro before this printer and had endless software problems with it. This is a much more reliable machine. I miss the autofeed feature and double sided printing, but if those are not a must for you, the canon pixma is a much better device.

Good value for the money. Setup was a bit clunky, but worked. Love the wireless printing. It takes a lot of time between the time you issue the print command and the time it actually starts printing. Print quality is good, although I haven't printed a photograph yet.

So far so good. Was reallly easy to set up and learn to use. Makes good copies. Haven't scanned anything yet so don't know about that. A little noisy ( I don't care ). And takes awhile to "think" before it prints but all in all I am happy with it. Looks good too. Much sleeker than my old clunker. One concern - I was fiddling with holder on the lower paper tray and ended up with this little tiny spring! Can't figure out where it came from and hope it doesn't cause problems in the future! Anybody knows - let me know!

Needed to replace old printer apparently it's cheaper to replace than to repair.Nice to upgrade to a wifi feature.The old printer was open style ,this one is closed or can be, which helps to keep out dust and dirt.

This is a good entry level printer if you plan to do more text printing than photos.The ink containers are small and you won't get a lot of photo's printed out before you run out of ink. I would not buy this to print photos as there are better printers out there unless money is tight and you only print a few photos on a regular basis. This way it won't run out of ink and empty your wallet as this is where most of your money will go after a while.EDIT 2012: After 2 years of use the printer is still working well, only weak spot is the ink cartridge size I mentioned in the main review.

I hesitated to set this up after a long day at work while an impatient four year old asked for dinner and my husband headed out the door for a workout. Well, curiosity got the best of me and I unpackaged it. It was a little larger than I thought it would be but it is waaayyy sturdier than most all in one printers out there. Doors weren't flimsy and moved smoothly in and out/up and down. I heart how the printer paper tray is inside the machine and the printer door opens on it's own when you print something. I heart how it all closes up into a box. Let me tell you, I was set up in 15minutes and made dinner for my kid in that time as well. Now I'm priting all my pent up photos that have been praying for escape from my laptop since my last printer's ink was discontinued. For the price it's an amazing deal. To think I was conemplating paying much more for much less at another store. I am a gadget geek but not so tech savvy that if this were difficult that I wouldn't be tripped up. Don't have buyers remorse in the least with this product. The reviews are spot on!

I bought this printer mostly for the reasonable price. When I recieved it, I was amazed by the quality of the machine. Much nicer than most desk top printers. I was very nervous about setting it up, but the instructions are excellent and the Canon Pixma was operational in no time. It located my router right away.The printing function is super easy. The copy function is very fast and the copies look like the original. I haven't tried the scanning or faxing.This is a pretty big unit, so make sure to note the dimentions and make sure it will fit where you plan to place it.I'm very glad I bought this printer!

Worst product ever!! I'm tired of companies which force you to take bundled software- Cannon, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, are huge offenders!! You should boycott the above companies!! When you buy their printers you have to download tons of extra crap into your computer that you don't need all just to print something out- extra programs, junk. It's all junk they force on you. The the printers break down right after the 90 day warranty period and you have to get another printer/scanner! These companies purposefully employ planned obscelesence on you!! Stand up!! Fight back! Boycott the bastards!!Go find other companies to support who don't hijack you like that. Use companies who are not so predatory & pernicious through their business tactics!! Boycott the bad companies, force them out of business! Imagine how cocky and arrogant they have to be to give you products like that, just because they know people in Congress to keep them in business!! So they just piss on people like you!! Drop those bastards & nvest in good companies like Apple!!

This is my first wireless printer and I love it. I have a laptop so it can be a hassel to hook up the printer everytime. With this wireless one, I don't have to. I also love that you can print back to back to save paper without having to manually turn the paper around.

If you are going to use the MP560 with Mac OS and WIFI, read "Otto Olah's" review first. In addition to his guidance, I had to download drivers form Cannon to even get to Otto's point in the install. The systems preferences kept showing the 560 as a scanner only. Too early to tell if I like the printer or not, however compared to my last Epson, which installed on my WiFi network with MAC OS flawlessly, the MP560 took way too much time. The 3 "stars" are based on the complexity of my install alone. Note: the advice on using the USB to start with, to load drivers, and then use the network may work much better, however my Mac is not in a spot to have done this easily, so i was using the network install from the start.Update: Installed drivers for WIFI on a Windows7 laptop....piece of cake.

I was looking for a wireless printer and had purchased a previous canon PIXMA printer that was not wireless that worked well. I purchased this looking for the wireless functionality and I am very pleased so far. It seems to have worked in my limited use so far.

The Canon MP560 was extremely easy to set-up and get running with my iMac on a wireless network. Everything was straight forward and I was ready to go in minutes. The Canon software is he weakest part of the product.

I previously had a canon s750 inkjet printer and then bought this several years ago. Not only is unbelievably slow, but it has two major problems: constantly misfeeds paper and SUCKS up lots of ink. It has a ridiculous number of cartridges (6) and is constantly using up too much ink. I loved my s750, but I'm skipping this company next time. Probably will go with an all in one lexmark, which presumably has better ink costs.

Except for getting the wireless to work and accepting a video card of mine I am impressed. Probably the wireless setup is a little beyond my tech ability. Having owned other brands I can honestly say I don't look past Canon when shopping. This is my 4th Canon product and have never been dissatisfied. It runs along side my Laser Canon Image Class D480 which is used for detailed waterproof pages.

This is a great 4 in one printer. Very easy to setup and great print and scan quality.Using printer over Wifi and thru wired connection not clear in the manual, but still it works.Cons: Duplex printing requires manually turning over the paper.

My HP went the way of the wind with Vista. Nice of them to leave us high and dry.... offering no software updates...sharing "tricks" on how to use the scanner. Oh well. I'm glad. It was sucking the ink out of me.What a jewel this Canon printer is. And this was my first wireless set-up ever. I bought the cable expecting I would not be able to pull off the wireless part. Didn't need it.Photos: Wow +++++Crop and print... very nice!Touchless Duplex Feature: Two sided printing without having to reload.Wireless!!!Hidden Paper tray.Seperate ink color wells.Flawless, quick set-up.Quality performance.Office capable.

Bigger than the ones in the picture but it is OK. Easy to set up now it is working wirelessly with my macbookpro. everything seems OK except one. Sometimes when it finished the printing work, there are often some noises, like the printer is still working. I do not why.

I think that this will be a good printer but one thing to know is that this does not do faxing. It says all-in-one and so when I bought it I thought it would do print/copy/scan AND fax but it doesn't. Just be aware if you are looking for your printer to also do faxes.

I love it. Its wireless, so no cables to tackle with.Printing is fast, quality of print is very good. Its kinda loud when it prints, but i would still recommend it. I only have it for a few months, so far its functioning pretty good.

This is the best ever printer I used. Is easy to set up, fast in any kind of printing and the most important easy instructions to follow. As far as electronics go I am very naive. So that says a lot.I still have the other two printers. One, Lexmark, <> out of ink very soon with out even using it a lot, the expensive one,Brother MFC-6490CW made a loud noice after only 20 copies and chewed up the paper. Then it died. I have to send it back to the factory to be fixed which is not worth the effort.I am very happy with my Canon PIXMA MP 560. It was about time. Buy it.I paid about $ 87 for it brand new.

The PIXMA MP560 replaced an HP3210 (multiple ink cartridges) and the only reason was I needed wireless capabilities. I'm not a guru but I set up an older PC without wireless, a newer PC laptop with wireless and an iMAC all-in-one with wireless. Caution: If you're going to use an existing router know your security code (password or sentence)before you even begin! Read Otto's review and follow his lead on getting the latest drivers. The total job was several hours to setup for me but I'm up in the years and again, not a computer geek. This is my first Canon but based on the excellent performance of this one, it won't be my last. I'll sum up the quality of workmanship and the quality of printing with one word - outstanding!

Thought I had a winner, but then CONSTANT failure to print, cleaned machine everyday, but regular failures and error messages, endless time waiting for it to print, then the blinking yellow light of failure,,,I had enough. I just threw it away. 40 hours of diddling with this was not worth it...Return it for repair....not worth the frustration. Most unhappy product I have dealt with in a decade

Previously, I had a desktop setup and used a Canon Pixma iP3000. I'm far from a power-user (at least in terms of print output), and that setup worked quite well for me.Not too long ago, I replaced my desktop system with a laptop and figured since I had a wireless setup in my apartment, I would look for an affordable wireless printer/all-in-one from Canon (I'm a Canon fan). At the time, Canon had various wireless printers/all-in-ones available IF you wanted to spend upwards of $200. And I really (really) wanted duplex printing like the iP3000 offered...When the MP560 was released, I was rather happy. Print quality, at least to me, is similar to the iP3000 and the addition of autoduplexing made this purchase a no-brainer. While wireless setup was not that difficult for me, it does require following the setup instructions that accompanied the printer. (Not sure why you wouldn't do that, honestly...). I had to hunt for my wireless key/passwords, though. If you don't have those, wireless setup will prove difficult.Overall? A quality printer for the price. Ink consumption seems average to slow. Autoduplexing is a great feature. And the copy/scan capabilities are good. I have zero complaints other than I wish the machine had an "auto-off" and "auto-on" feature like the iP3000 did.

I bought this printer about a month ago to replace a dinosaur that came with my old PC. The old printer was not very difficult to use because it did nothing but print, and did that slowly and not so well when it came to photos. I wanted to be able to scan documents into pdf format, send them wirelessly to my year-old laptop and print better photos. The Canon MP 560 does all that very well. Being somewhat of a dinosaur myself when it comes to new technology, I found it a little more difficult to set it up than some reviewers did, and I felt that the instructions could have been clearer. After several attempts to establish a wireless connection using both the instructions that came in the box and the online manual, I had to call Canon tech support for help. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I got through to a technician. He was very helpful and the experience with Canon tech support was a very positive one. Now that I am familiar with the printing and scanning functions of the MP 560, I find it easy to use. Photo quality is excellent and printing photos is a breeze. I am very pleased with the printer and would recommend it to anyone for home use.

Based on other customer reviews, I chose the CANON instead of other models of printers. In my history, this is the third printer brand I've purchased and I am very pleased. It was easy to install, and I used the on-line drivers for my netbook in lieu of the enclosed disk. Others in my family used the disk on their laptops. It works fine for my use which is more for documents rather than photos or color printing.

This is a great printer for the price. The printed instruction manual, however, may be one of the worst manuals I've ever seen. The manual installed on the computer is very good though. The wireless feature could be very easy to set up depending on the type of router you use. But anyone that was capable of setting up their router and configuring their wireless network will not have much problem getting the wireless feature to work. The print speed may be slow and the printer may be a bit noisy but I wouldn't know. The printer is located in another room and when printing at home I'm usually in no hurry for the print job. I really like the duplex printing feature which seems to work flawlessly. The few color photos I've printed so far look like photos from a film processor, probably due to the individual ink cartridges and the photo black cartridge. My favorite feature is the capacity to scan a photo or document and have it sent wirelessly to my laptop. We'll have to wait and see how long the ink lasts. Replacing all the ink cartridges will cost almost as much as the printer.

This is my first HD video camera and will be the last for a long while. The features are excellent and the quality of the images are absolutely tremendous. Transferring images from the camera to my computer is a snap too. Mainly because I have an iMac and it's a very simple process with iMovie. I HIGHLY recommend the Canon VIXIA HF S200 camera.

I hate this printer! Besides being really freakin' big, it's beyond annoying. When you click 'print', it makes a bunch of whirring noises and thinks about the fact that it has to print something. Then it whirs some more, and decides that maybe printing what you want it to print might be an OK idea. Then it rests for a moment, sends out another little whir, and just when you think it's actually going to print, instead you get a popup telling you that HEY YOU HAVE ME SET FOR BLACK ONLY! DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT? BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY COLOR WITH THIS SETTING!! Um, yeah, I do that to save ink. So you click on 'ok', and it starts whirring again, probably wondering why in the world you only want black ink. It's just so wrong for a color printer, after all. You can almost hear it sigh. But then it decides, ok, I'm going to print in black, draft mode no less, for this plebeian. FINALLY it prints. Pretty quickly I might add, probably to make up for all the time it wasted whirring and fretting. Afterwards, it whirs for awhile again, ruminating about what it just printed, and obviously distraught that it could not use the color cartridge.I am going to return it this weekend, and I actually look forward to paying the restocking fee!

This printer was very easy to set up and is very easy to use once the user gets accustomed to all of the menus and what-not to operate. The most cumbersome use so far is to print picutres from the SD card to 4x6 paper. I wish the settings were saved so that it would remember in between sessions. Other than that, it is an amazing machine.
