Bought two i320's in 2003 for peanuts. Use one for business (I'm a Realtor) and one is used by my four children. Ink is cheap ($3.50 for black and $4.50 for color over the internet)and finally the one my kids use just broke. Never even cleaned the heads. I'm going to buy two more right now, one to replace the broken one and one for the wife. Great product!

I got this scanner/copier/printer when I wanted to do a photo-collage and send it to 150 people for wedding thank-yous, and I wished I had bought it sooner for the wedding invites [which I also designed in Adobe Photo-Shop--sold separately!] I've never regretted it! I got it new for just over a hundred with tax, I've had it for a year and a half, and it was money well spent! Staples sells knockoffs of the ink cartridges, so I save a few dollars there...One minor criticism: When making copies, the two-line, unlighted L.E.D. display is less-than-ideal, but I mostly use it for printing stuff from the web. Works great as a scanner also, esp. with PhotoShop.

I'm a student, I recently got a computer, and the Canon was my follow up purchase. Great deal for the price I got it, perfect for my school activities and amateur photo hobbies. Prints decent 4x6 with the right programs, but wouldn't recommend printing from the default program that comes with the software. Ink and paper samples came with, ink has lasted but when it does run out I am concerned about the price of the 5 cartrige ink load. Easy set up, self explanatory use. Excellent scanning capabilities for its price and model, up to 600 dpi. Overall, very happy with purchase.

The print quality is awesome. Very fast to print and scan. Had a little issue with the Epson driver on my Mac conflicting with the new Canon driver. Canon customer support was very efficient and helpful and had the problem resolved in about 5 minutes.

Purchased with little research but it creates extremely high-quality prints and is very user-friendly. Printed perfectly out of the box from my Mac (with no color profiles) and hooked up in seconds to the printer port of my Airport Extreme. I recommend this rather than buying the overly-expensive bluetooth adapter.Truly lab-quality prints, though I wonder about longevity based on the fact it uses dyes rather than pigments. I also haven't tested water and moisture resistance, though lab prints these days are relatively fragile in that regard.I would have given it five stars if it read raw photo files right off the camera card. (Probably too much to ask these days.)Wireless photo printing in my home is a real treat.

I bought this printer as a refurb. I got it for considerably less than the listed price. That was three years ago.This printer has been totally reliable.The printing quality for photos is excellent and installing the printer on XP Home was easy and trouble-free.The ink can be found for a reasonable price.I highly recommend this printer!**Update** This printer quit working recently after 4 years of use.It was used heavily the past 2 years. I paid approximately $70 for it and I am very satisfied with the use I got from it for the price!

The Canon PIXMA iP6000D Photo Printer is a versatile color ink jet printer which will print on all types of paper. I use it to print documents and photos. For photo printing, you can print directly from the memory stick by inserting it into the printer or from the computer using more standard printing software. I particularly like the individual ink tanks which allow me the flexibility of changing each tank as it empties rather than having to discard a color cartridge when only one of the colors is empty. I have used it for envelopes and card stock with much success. Overall, this printer is durable and a step up from my former printer which was a Canon S820.

I purchased the canon powershot s500 digital elph last March. I kept getting blurry pictures so I called Canon technical support. They went through the whole procedure to make sure my camera was all set up. Well I followed their directions but everything was the way it should have been. So they said I should send it in because there was obviously a problem with it. Then I sent it in and had to pay for the shipping there. They sent it back and said they had switched out some optical thing. Well I just finally went to get my pictures developed and they all have the same problem. They never fixed the problem. Mind you this was the approximately 9 months of my son's life before the age of 2. I called tech support and ended up having to wait more than 24 hours for a call back from a supervisor. She said they would send me pre paid envelope to check out the camera. Well I was greatful and had to tell her that during babysitting in late August a little boy had dropped my camera so there was damage to the outside part of the camera, but it did not effect the quality of the pictures because they were the same as prior to the day it was dropped. She said that they would probably not cover it due to the fact that it might have been caused by the dropped camera. I told I have proof of when it happened and that the pictures prior to that date are coming in blurry just like it was before I sent it in the first time. I started to cry that my son's 9 months are all ruined and she was practically laughing when I got off the phone. The camera is worse than a disposable camera. Don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk. I recommend Olympus. My Olympus prior to this was only 3 megapixels and was better quality than this piece of junk. I am planning on contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. Please don't waste your time on this, like I have to! I hope this helps people make better choices! Good luck! I wish someone could have forecasted this for me!

This printer is small, lightweight and easy to take on trips. Helps me plan travel when on the road by using Mapquest and then printing out the route. Also great for checking in early for flights when traveling and printing out boarding passes. People send e-mails and drawings to me when on the road, and I can print them out immediately. Print quality is unbelievable for such a compact unit. Canon support when I had a problem was outstanding.

This printer gives excellent b&w and color print-outs. It fits easily in a regular-size computer bag or suitcase, thus taking less space at my desk than a pack of paper . There are infrequent mechanical problems and outstanding tech support.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Canon Pixma MP530. Though the settings for receiving faxes for me were a little tricky to set, the instruction manual is good and you really don't need it much, as the equipment has all the info on it. I like the space-saving and portablity of this unit. The price can't be beat, and since Canon makes awesome copiers-(my last one from 1996 is alive and well), I was willing to try another. If you're looking for a great, all-in-one for personal, or small, one person office, home office use, this is the copier for you!

Works well when it wants to. 2 issues:There is no way to get the fax to fire up if you happen to pick up an extension. I called and tech support verified. Other faxes allow you to dial 123, or #1, or some other code to manually kick the fax into action. On this unit, all you can do is RUN to the machine and hit the "start" button, or, hang up and wait for the faxing party to redial, and remember not to answer the phone.I am also getting the phantom error messages on ink cartridge. In my case, it is yellow. Sometimes it claims I have multiple yellows installed, other times it claims it is missing. Canon is sending a replacement, but it looks like this is not an isolated problem. Canon tech service claims it is rare, but look at the reviews!

I thought others might want to know that this printer doesn't come with a USB cable. So if you don't have an extra already, you'll need to purchase a USB A/USB B cable separately. Their documentation says that it should be "less than 10 ft./3m." (You'd think I'd have scads of these kicking around the house, but when I really needed one I ended up having to cannibalize my old printer!)Also, I haven't been able to get this printer to work across my Airport Express wireless network. In fairness to Canon, I haven't talked to their tech support about this, but after a 1.75 hours on the phone with Applecare, I've given up trying.

I bought this printer as a compact desk printer. I most frequently print 2-4 page items in color. Mostly mapping/directions, short legal documents, faxes, and forms. I've printed a couple digital photos, but they were taken from compact digital cameras where expectations are moderate. The output on all these items has been great.The printer works well and takes up very little space. I use it with a few different laptops, and I used to plug it directly into each one. When plugged directly into a computer the desktop software has a nice ink and paper management tool which alerts you to any important conditions and the ink-level.I recently attached it to a Netgear wireless 4-port switch and usb print server. This is a nice way to get remote printing from a bunch of computers without leaving any of them on. However, I've yet to get the nice Canon ink/paper status monitor to work with the netgear print server. I turned on bi-directional support on the netgear LPT device, and that's not enough. If you decide to use a device like this, keep in mind you might loose this printer-status feature in the process.I highly recommend the Canon iP90. Just like big brother printers, only smaller.

I bought this printer about a month ago for my wife, and I am very happy with it. I bought it when it was on sale so I got a pretty good deal. The setup was simple. You need to have your own USB cable.I never had a photo printer before, so I really don't have anything to compare this printer to. For my purposes, this printer is excellent. We were amazed after we printed our first photo. The photo editing is very basic and simple to use. We haven't used any of the features on the printer really. I'm sure that it could do a lot more then we are aware of.I am very happy with this printer.I meant to give this 5 stars.

I read all the reviews on every all in one available for purchase. The 530 was chosen and I paid $151.00 delivered from Amazon. This machine works perfectly and was a snap to set up and get operating. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the manual was a little confusing on making copies. I just ignored the manual, hit the copy button and received a perfect reproduction! This sucker is neat! Hard to believe that it only cost $151.00. Those that have given negative reviews must have received a lemon which is likely very rare. I love my 530 and appreciate all the positive reviews which helped me decide to purchase it.

This multi-function printer/scanner/copier/FAX was an excellent buy at the price I received on Amazon.com. It's fast and gives a good output. I upgraded from an old HP-600 Officejet, and it's obvious that the tecnology has advanced. However, I'm getting low ink warnings after a short time use of the ink tanks - were they just partially filled ones supplied "free" with this low cost printer? Nevertheless. it's still a great value for well under $200!

I replaced a dead Epson and read the reviews on Consumer Report first. I am happy the epson died as I am loving the speed and quality of this new machine. The other printer was 3 years old or so. I have not yet scanned with it or had to replace the ink. The interface is great and the software for printing is easy and straightforward.One strange thing was they did not include a usb cable in the box. I'm sure it was an oversight. I used the one off of my dead epson.Great printer and great price.

I really don't use this that often to give it a good review. It sits there and I occasionally print something and that works great. I have tested the scanning of documents, faxing and coping and they seem to work well. I just don't use this like someone in a small office would. I think I paid about $159.00 for it so probably bought more functionality then I needed.It does shake a lot on the desk that I have it set up on when I'm printing something and it is physically bigger then I would have liked but all in all a good prduct and buy for the money.... I give it 4 stars.

Received the Canon Pxima mini260 on time from Amazon as usual! Open the box to check it out before wrapping it as a gift. I found the quality of the printer to be really cheap and there were all these warnings about how to put the ink cartridge in the printer and if not just right it could cause problems and even breakage. The ink cartridge is a multi purpose cartridge and it is so small that there is no way it could last for long without have to replace. I returned it to Amazon which refunded my mony and I purchased an Epson Photomate. The Epson works great and the quality of the prints are supper.

This is a really nice printer. I had avoided all-in-one types in my search, but the reviews of this in the media and on Amazon were very strong. I had an i960 photo printer before, and this is as good or better. The extended functions are great, especially the negative and slide scanning. That is a big plus as we transition from the old days of film.Unless you need wide-carriage prints, this is the one.

A high quality "All-In-One" at a surprisingly reasonable price. Big and bulky, but far less so than having a separate printer, scanner and photocopier. Looks sleek, feels solid, good printouts. The multifeed function is fantastic---almost like having a modest office printer at home---no need to scan or photocopy docs. one at a time. I'm satisfied.

I have had this printer for about one month and am very satisfied with it's performance and functionality. Set up was straight forward but a little lengthy, however this should not be difficult for most users. I use it as a shared printer on my wireless network with no problems. It's a lot of printer for the price ($156.00).

This is a great printer for making quick prints of your photos or other documents. For what I use it for the speed is okay. The only thing you might have to watch out for on this printer is the ink cartridges. Since a few colors are in the same cartridge, if you run out of one color you will have to replace the whole cartridge. Even if the other colors are still full. Other than that, a great printer for quick prints.

I love the printer, fax, scanner and copier. It works better than I had hoped for and would buy another Canon anytime. I did have a problem initially. The first printer I received made a terrible grinding noise as the carriage moved. I called Canon, they set up an authorized dealer appointment. The lady there said "they all do that" and it there was no point in bringing it in. So I called Canon back, once more let them hear the noise over the phone. They sent out another MP530 ASAP that is perfect - sent the other one back on their dime. Canon was great.

The image of this printer online makes the printer seem simplistic. I was surely deceived. This printer has the potential of aiding a home business if necessary. It is sturdy and shows a great potential of lasting for a really long time. I tried it out as soon as I got it. I plugged it right up, inserted the software, and it was ready to go. It took me no more than 20 minutes to get the printer out of the packaging all the way to printing out my first photo. The photo printing quality is fierce. Grade A all around. This is my first printer since I sold my worthless Dell all in one 920 I believe. Dell's computers are horrible, and their printers are ten times worst. I recommend this printer to anyone, whether it is for large or simple use.

I've had this printer for about two years. It's my photo printer, I really don't do a lot else with it because I don't want to wear it out prematurely. Before this unit I had a canon i850 which was also a excellent unit but I had problems with leaky heads and it was only a three color printer, this one uses cyan, magenta, yellow and photo cyan, and photo magenta to print color and the difference in the two products is pretty considerable. This model is no longer being produced by Canon, unfortunately they've gone the same way as most evil printer makers have and have "chipped" all their ink tanks so they cannot be easily refilled. This is the last low priced canon model that won't have chipped ink tanks. I have been refilling my canon cartridges for years, for the way I print I can't afford canon prices for their cartridges. You can get cartridges for this unit off ebay cheap but I've found the quality varies, www.inkproducts.com makes a bottle fed ink unit for this printer that will save you tons of money if you print a lot of photos like I do. This unit has a second paper tray on the bottom that will take 4x6 up to 8.5X11 paper, it works well but you can't put lables in it for fear of them sticking inside the printer. This unit does double sided printing with no user intervention! I very much like that when you aren't using the printer it closes up tight to keep dust out of it. When I heard they stopped making this unit I purchased a second for backup. This is a great printer, the card reader is kinda slow but I really don't use that much so it's no loss. The 8000 unit adds yet anoter color to the printing mix but who can afford $400.00 for that beast. I've found that cheapo staples and compusa brand papers work wonderfully in this printer, I have found a couple of brands that just DON'T work with the canon inks but after you figure out which one's are bad news it's fine. This is a great price considering I just paid 170.00 for my second unit.

If you are looking for a compact printer to go with your laptop...then this is it. The only suggestion I would have to improve this printer is to have a LARGE Black and White ink supply instead of the color option.I don't need color when I travel and I am just trying to get a hard copy for someone else usually. Otherwise, it is just dandy.

Update: A year on the camera still works fine. It's still too slow for any sort of action shot and there's no way to put it into shutter priority so far as I can tell. As a belt camera I still haven't found anything better and it's showing very little sign of wear from being with me every day. Battery life is still very good. However, the slow reaction of the camera has driven me to buy an EOS-20D. I can't take it everywhere but it's way better for any form of action. Curiously some of my best scenic shots are still with the S500. Would I buy it again? Only if I couldn't get something the same size with shutter priority and faster reactions to the shutter release.After a couple of weeks of taking pictures and experimenting with settings I'd say this is good, great in many circumstances, but not perfect.Some of the issues are just limitations of the form factor, the form factor was the deciding point in my choice of cameras. Perhaps I had some unrealistic expectations of the ability of technology to overcome physics?Basically, with a 5M pixel sensor and a tiny little lens you don't get fast shutter speeds unless you either have excellent lighting or use the flash. Fortunately the flash is perhaps unexpectedly powerful, so most indoor shots can be well lit and fill-in can be used outdoors, though you seem to have to go to manual mode to force the flash to be used.The battery seems to last well even when using the flash. Some reviews say you need to use one battery while charging another. Well, I don't know what they were doing, I meant to change the battery yesterday morning and the camera is still going strong today, I think that's about 150 pictures since I last changed the battery for the spare. Batteries still have memory effect even though it is less pronounced than with NiCd technology of the past, the NiMH battery in the laptop I am using now has only half the capacity it should.Anyway, back to the camera. The metering system isn't clairvoyant, it does sometimes pick the wrong subject, especially in backlit conditions which is why I know about forcing it to use fill-in floash.Indoor shots without the flash will often be blurred, I took one just after landing in Chicago ORD and there was a lot of blurred motion on walking people though I had managed to hold the camera steady as the background was sharp. If you don't use the red-eye reduction mode on the flash you will get amazing red-eye.I use a 512Mb Sandisk Ultra II that I picked up for about $120, that gives me about 350 shots in fine mode. The speed of the card hasn't really been a noticeable benefit the way I have used the camera.The colors are good, I'm not certain they are great, I have a suspicion they are a little blue. Certainly blue scenes seem very blue.Speaking of blue... my old Olympus shows red flares to the right of bright edges, so a white light will have a red halo to the right. On a couple of shots the S500 has shown a blue halo to the left, one example was a person standing with their back to a very brightly lit window, even though he was correctly exposed. Perhaps fill-in flash would have fixed this, but that would have given some red-eye.In summary, this camera has shown me that there's no substitute for big pieces of glass even in the modern day, the lens is still the most important part of a camera. My old Olympus 3040z with an f1.8 lens was much more effective in low light... but I never had it with me when I wanted to take a picture "right now". The S500 in the small belt pouch with the 512Mb compact flash has proven sufficient for about 3 days of casual photography. However, if I want to take memorable and sharp scenic shots I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy the EOS10D. I hear now that the S410 may have better low light performance, so perhaps I'll sell my S500 and try that instead.

i've been using one of these robust little printing contraptions, on again off again, in vanilla mode (black ink only and no batteries), for years. most BJC-80 probs are home fixable and are related to ink catridge and/or printhead drying; a Q-Tip, a little alcohol and test printing (for head cleaning purposes) usually saves the day. the black ink cartridges are relatively economical and they can be home refilled for more economy yet. the BJC-80 is the model-T of portable printers and it is very portable, indeed. a a good solution for hands on people who travel and need hard copy

Very nice printer, output is crisp and clear on both text and line art. Extremely fast, much quicker than the HP All in One that it replaced.I've had it about a month, I use it for business so I do a fair amount of printing and I haven't had to replace any of the ink cartridges yet so it seems to be pretty stingy on ink use. I'm extremely satisfied with this printer.

Set up was easy. The Pixma does everything well. So far, one month, no problems. The copier capability alone, with its enlarge and reduce options, is worth the price. It is a bit noisy but so was my previous Canon printer. I have had very good success with Canon products, including the digital camera that I have had for four years.

I brought two of these printers on Amazon, since this is the last canon printer allowing refill. For this, I gave it five stars!Its printing speed is not very fast, giving it always trys to print in color. Even the gray scale will be printed by color ink, instead of black ink. That would give better picture quality.All new models of Canon printers using the 8 series ink tanks, which can only be refilled maybe twice. This printer using the 6 series ink tank, with a small black only. But all the ink tanks in 6 series can be refilled. Save the land by calling Canon to stop using 8 series ink tank, or only buy printers using 6 series ink.

I have always been an HP user but started having problems with my last HP Printer and Scanners so I decided to try this all in one Canon product. I am super impressed with everything about it and have tried everything but the FAX. It prints, scans and copies beautifully and with great clarity. I also love that I can set it to print a high quanity and walk away and it does the job with no problems and very quickly, too! I would highly recommend this to any individual or small business :~)

I had been watching this product since it's roll out and could never find it in the stores. I finally purchased it when my XYZ brand of printer went wacko from my jump from Mac OS 9 to X.The Canon scans, prints, and copies beautifully! I haven't tried faxing yet but I can't see that being any problem!I'm very, very happy with the cost of the inks.. half the price of my XYZ... and the crispness of the photos! There were only 2 differences in this model and the 830... 830 does double sided and costs more than $100 more. Oh well! I'm happy!

Великолепно

This printer is a wow. The quality of the photo print is exceptional. The scanner works so well that the average person will never know that the pictures were scanned. The setup is simple and the ink does a self adjustment. There are separate cartridges so unlike the competition, you only replace the one color that is short. The 13 ml size makes printing much less expensive. After much confusing thought, I took a leap of faith on this printer and would do it again.Amazon was perfect. They were quick and easy to work with.

ordered it from amazon... came nicely packed... easy to install on my laptop...the only concern is that the ink cartridges are the smallest thing i have ever seen. i have only printed out 1 thing so far, but it was crisp and clean and the color was exactly right. the whole reason i purchased it was for an upcoming trip to florida. I need to work while being there on pleasure and needed something that would travel well. i am a little concerned about the weight. i expected it to be a bit lighter.
