I just received my printer-last week-just opened it up, a week later...hey I'm a very busy person.Nevertheless, the printer looks great, very well put and sturdy. Set up was extremely easy and the new technology seems state-of-the-art. Sleek design will look great in any environment.Now, for the downfall. I have a Mac OS X 10.4, NOT compatible for wireless printing. What a bummer, I wish I had read this prior to my purchase. I was looking forward to using such neat element of newer printers. Now, I'm stuck purchasing a Bluetooth adapter to be able to print without connections or upgrade to the "new" Mac OS X 10.6 (required for wireless printing). Oh yeah, did I mention it will cost you $169.00 USD.I have not tried to use the printer, except, for a small copy I made to look at the quality (couldn't resist the temptation of a new item and I've been waiting for a week), anyway...If you are seeking for a great looking printer and easy to assemble, of course, if you have the required essentials for wireless printing-Canon MP560 is the way to go.I will keep you posted, once I've made my decision and start using it. I believe this printer will be the last printer I buy for a long time. The only criticisms I have are the following:-Slightly oversized (from what I am used to, due to the scanner)-Automatic duplex printing does take longer than manually rotating the print pages, although it is obviously more convenient to print wirelessly and not be sitting next to your printer when half way through the print-Scanner does not use the automatic paper feed (i.e. manual scans)What I am most happy about:-Ease of printing from card/wirelessly/automatic paper cassette & rear tray-The software from Canon is plentiful-All-in-one for a great price-5-ink tank for easy replacement of certain colorsOverall great product and great experience ordering from Amazon

Nice looking. Print quality good. Many pleasing features.It prints quite well, but the wireless connection is on again off again. Quite frustrating to reinstall, turn off and on, poke around ect.If if worked reliably as a wireless printer, it would be 5 stars.

Setup was pretty easy. Also connected to wireless without much difficulty.Print quality is very good (just on standard print). Scanner works great and love the auto doc feeder. Can scan directly to a .pdf file which is a huge plus. Have only used the fax a few times so far and it works just fine.Overall, very happy with purchase.

This printer works wonderfully. When you setup the wireless capability you do have to plug it in, but once it is set up it just works like it should. I have two seperate computers that are capable of printing and no wires involved, I love it!

This was a gift for my daughter and it was a great deal!! I wanted a printer that was wireless annd would print from her iPhone. This printer has many features that are really fun to have. It was easy to order and the product arrived earlier than expected. I will definetly order from Amazon again!

I've bought several of these printers and have been impressed by their quality. Although this unit is a budget device, it's very hard to beat what you get at (or below) the $100 price point. I just hope that Canon's replacement model is as good of a deal.

I use my printer from time to time, but not a lot. It's cool to have it be wireless and so far it's been doing just fine. The set up didn't take too long once I found the right code to punch in to allow it to connect to my network.

Great printer. Most printers make their money when you run out of ink and have to buy endless cartridges. You can get refilled cartridges here on AZ for a couple bucks each- amazing! Quality is great- only downside is that it is a little slow. The fact that I can get ink for it at a decent price and it has not konked out yet is well worth it!

Best printer i've owned so far, and for a great price. Got it on sale at Fry's for about $65 almost a year ago. Scans, prints, and it has wifi capability! it does everything I need it to do, it didn't break the bank, and i'm very happy with it.

I can't imagine a better printer for 81 bucks shipped to the door. At this price point any carping about photo print speed or the text printing just isn't super sharp is silly with a printer below $100.00. This blows away any other HP I've ever owned and I a fan of HP products. It only take about 45 seconds to print a 4x6 photo once it starts printing and the print quality is pretty much what you get from your CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. You don't get the layered look like on a HP and this is printing with HP photo paper. Text is again excellent for a printer of this price and the price of after market ink is also a plus. This will be a printer I hang onto for quite some time. I just don't see anything right now that can compete.

I got this on sale, but even for the regular price it is a great value for all the features it has. I've used the wireless print, copy, and fax functions, all work well. The wireless print setup documentation is not the greatest, but I've seen much worse. In a nutshell, if you're going to use the printer wirelessly and not connect it to any computer, there is an initial one-time setup step where the printer must be temporarily connected to a computer using the supplied USB cable. Once that initial step is done, the USB cable is removed, and that computer is set up to use the printer wirelessly. All other computers can then be setup wirelessly to use the printer with just the setup disk (no temporary USB connection needed).

After downloading the updated firmware, the printer software installed quickly for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, almost instantly. The setup including the separate ink tanks was relatively simple by following the instructions and sketches. Have only tried the printer function, not the scanner and copier. Like the duplex print function and the standard electrical plug instead of the large transformer plug on my previous HP printer. Highly recommended, especially considering the low price of this machine.

I ran out of ink on my older Epson All-in-One and when I went to buy the new ink cartridges, I found it more economical to just buy a brand new printer. I own a Mac so my choices were a bit limited however, this Canon All-In-One printer is bar far the best choice that was out there at the time. Great price, great features, network capabilities (very easy to setup by the way with my mac), print qualities and best of all Free Shipping! How could you lose?I highly recommend this product to anyone who requires scanning, copying and printing at a great price.

I have always used HP Printers. I purchased the Canon MP 560 printer after reading a number of very good reviews here and on other sites. It came directly from Amazon in two days. Very fast shipment. Now (4 days later) printers do not come directly from Amazon (Could this have been their last lemon?) The unit was clearly new - not refurbished. Setting up the software on my laptop was straight forward but took a good amount of time. The problem started when I turned it on. Never got one printed, or copied page out of the machine. An error message appeared at the first attempt to print a test page. Followed the steps specified in the manual to clear the error but the error could not be cleared. Had to wait two days to call Customer Service (Monday to Friday only). The rep tried a few things to get the printer to work without success. Finally, he offered to exchange my unit with another one that is "refurbished". Not the best solution since I paid for a new unit. The original one year warrenty will apply. Hopefully this one will work!

First purchased printer (had been using freebie Dell printer w/ PC purchase). I originally wanted to wait for webos HP printer but would 1) wait till next year and 2) pay at least twice what I paid for this wonderful printer. I'm technically inclined and didn't expect to have to refer to manual but I did a couple of times. Worked thru it and setup did eventually go smoothly. Did go w/ USB connection and not wifi.Print and scan quality looked great. I read reviews on print speeds and was faster than my last printer so ftw? Have not used the other features and will update...For the price, this is a no-brainer for anyone looking for a good/value printer. Get it.

I was so excited to get this printer as part of deal. It had so many features... but I was disappointed to find that the printer was slow and loud. The print quality is not great for normal printing. I have not tried photo printing yet. Happy with the scanning though. Very good quality and the speed is not bad either.Uses a lot of ink... I printer around 60 color pages and it's telling me I am already out of 2 inks!

Excellent Scanner. Highly detailed photo printing. Good supporting software. Ink is not cheap, but what inkjet ink isn't. I'm not sure if the cartridges can be refilled and you will have to stay posted for this one. Newer Canon cartridges also have a shelf life where the cartridge will not work after a certain date even if full so beware. The bundled software can be intrusive on your other software e.g. browsers so I suggest using the custom installation process. The printer works well with other programs e.g. printshop. In fact you can get by just installing the drivers. The best part of this printer is that it integrates well with your wireless network and does not require a cable to print. Overall I am highly satisfied with the product and strongly recommend it.

Have had this printer for about a month. Setup was very easy on a Dell Windows 7 laptop, wireless connection worked right away. Love the auto duplex printing: saves lots of paper. I like the fact that there are separate cartridges for each color, this should save money on ink also (printer rated as one of cheapest to operate on several computer magazine sites). It is compact, fairly quiet and starts printing right away when you select print from an app(my dell V313W had an aggravating delay)Print quality is quite good but I do NOT do photos, but as an everyday home printer I would highly recommned this printer.

I was kinda waiting on this printer to go on a real sale and then I bought it. Glad I did. I am fairly technically literate and did fine with setting up the wireless connection, however I don't think it would be easy for a novice. Prints fine, not very fast but fine for the price. The scanning feature has been good. My sister has the same one and says the ink does go through fairly quickly but as I don't even print one page a week, I think I'll bee fine.

You cannot beat the price of the printer nor the ink. I have owned HP deskjets for many years...The cannon prints fast, ink is half what hp wants. Set ups in minutes, installation easy-lots of books with step by step directions. Nice to see I didnt have to buy a usb cable. Did not use the wifi setup tho.The only thing I dont like is warm up- it is a little noisy...but other than that it is a great printer.

I do not recommend this printer for two reasons:1) smears ink on page edges2) randomly prints pitch black as pixelated green, blue, violet, turquoise from time to time (yes my monitor is calibrated and I do know what color management is)Please decide for yourself, for me it is the worst Canon printer I ever owned. Wastes about 30% of your photo paper and ink on trying to get a decent print

Got an error on startup "6000" - had to call tech support because there's no troubleshooting guide included to decode the error number. Machine was detecting packing material that hadn't been removed (it HAD all been removed). Cannon would have replaced it but they're "currently out of stock in this model."Just returned an HP with a fake paper jam error. Does ANYONE make a printer that actually works?

This printer was easy to install. The setup took me through step by step and easily found my wireless network. Also, the canon app for my Droid works great for pictures. Would like it to print other types of documents like pdf files. Overall this is a good printer that is low cost.

First of all, this one replaces the MP610, and takes different cartridges from that model (CLI 221-and PGB-220, rather than CLI-8 and PGB-5). Amazon, in its little box addressed to the purchaser of its machines, claims that the 221 and 220 cartridges are compatible with my MP610. Not true. They're compatible with the Canon MP620 and MP560).The main advantage of the MP560 over its predecessors is size. Compared to the MP610, it's considerably more compact, closer to the size of the IP4200, IP4300 Canon line of printers.If you don't need the wireless (internet) connection, don't fool with it. The printer recognized my Airport Extreme signal, but then Canon's "distance measurement" test claimed the signal was unstable and would slow down the machine. Consequently, I settled for good old USB connectivity. Also, if you have a decent photo program on your computer, there's no need to download all of the extra programs and goodies provided by Canon. Instead of "Easy Install" select "Custom," and install only what you plan to use.The main disadvantage of the MP560 is that it's not as good a "stand-alone" machine as the MP610. For example, unlike the MP610, there's no mechanical lever allowing you to switch between the two feed trays. I never bothered to install my MP610 on my computer. That would not be a good decision with the MP560. Fortunately, its smaller size makes it more practical to use as a desktop printer next to your computer, so installation of the software program for running the printer from your computer is an easier call than it was with the MP610.

I ordered this printer to replace a much larger Canon that I could never manage to make wireless. This printer is awesome. It was so easy to set up (I have a Mac) and has all the features I want/need; it copies, scans, prints photos, and, most importantly, it does it all wirelessly.The pictures I have printed have come out great. I was able to scan a few documents already without any hassle at all. I actually love the pop up display thing on the side. Really, this printer is just incredibly easy to set up and use. And, for the price, it's unbeatable. Highly recommend.

Purchased brand new, it's been easy to use, etc. It has a wireless capability that I have not yet tried to use, but it's attached to my home network via USB and it's working beautifully.

I dislike this printer and if I could go back in time, I'd get a different one. First of all, setting up the wifi took forever. I figured that's ok because once it's done, it's done. But if you are bad at setting things up, be warned. Second of all, the paper tray is flimsy. I've only had this for a month and a half so it hasn't broken yet, but it seems like it could at some point. Third, it's loud; that's not the end of the world, but not worth putting up with when this has nothing special to deliver. Fourth, it's even slower than my old printer that's probably 10 years old. The amount of time it takes between clicking 'print' and the printer actually printing is obscene. It would be faster to write by hand. Fifth of all, the picture quality is no better than my 10 year old printer, or it if so, it's way too small of a margin to notice.That being said, it gets two stars instead of one because it does work. It is just seriously lacking.

Recently, the HP T45 Multifunction machine that I had relied on for many (7) years, began to make the death rattles and errors associated with imminent demise. Also, since it hasn't been made for many years, the ink cartridges were becoming a bit of a hassle to find - and, though findable on Ebay, etc, they tended to be old ones in their original packaging and not especially reliable. Therefore, it was time to find a new all-in-one for my home and small office use. I searched out professional reviews, compared features and prices and, of course, consulted with my fellow consumer reviewers. All said and done, I decided on this Canon Pixma MP530 and am pleased to report that, as of the first week or two, I am quite pleased with each of it's functions, printing, copying, scanning and FAXing and have found some fault in only four areas. They are 1) it is VERY noisy and shakes a bit as it operated; 2) the setup is more complex than I am used to and though I am not a novice, it took me almost an hour to get it fully set up and programmed, 3) the ink jet cartridges ARE expensive - though the quality of the printing - especially of photos - may make the additional expense well worth while and 4) the machine is large, weighing over 28 lbs. and measuring, with paper trays retracted, 18.4 (W) X 18.4(D)X10.4 inches (H.)I can offer some initial impressions based on my experiences with each of it's features as well as the overall operation of the device that you may find of some help in making a good decision for yourself.The Cost(s)The machine, itself, is priced quite reasonably. At well under $200., it offers a nice range of features, is an attractive design (though admittedly rather large in both weight and dimension compared to HP machines with similar features). It comes with everything you need to set it up in the box except for the necessary USB2 cable - a deliberate omission I found particularly irritating as it is obviously intended to artificially lower the cost of the unit. Canon's responses to my questions about this were entirely `rote' and unsatisfactory. This is, I realize, an increasingly common practice - to not provide new cables with new printers. A marketing and public relations error, in my view, for most of the major manufacturers of printers and multifunction machines. So, nearly an hour into the set up, I found myself running out to a local store to buy the cable it requires to connect it to my computer. I got over it when I started to use the machine.Frequently criticized for the expense of the ink jet cartridges (it holds a total of 5 of them - One large Black, one small one, and three colors ,Yellow, Majenta and Cyan) and will not operate (any of the functions) if any one of the cartridges is empty making back up ink supply a necessity rather than a convenience option. AMAZON offers competitive prices for the ink, as do many online resellers. As with all equipment, I would recommend that users avoid the temptation to save money by buying refilled/refurbished cartridges. Besides their intermittent reliability, they may both foul your machine as well as void the warrantee. The ink IS expensive, but, on the other hand, the quality is excellent and FAR surpasses my various HP experiences.The Set UpThis is one of the more complicated set ups I have encountered. It requires both patience and time. However, the reasons for the complexities are logical and, ultimately, helpful. Unlike my old HP T45, there are MANY subsets of choices in setting up each of the functions. So, if you take the time to do it carefully, the machine will work exactly as you want it to. All default settings are not necessarily correct or desirable for all users! As I mentioned, it took me nearly an hour, including the time to research, in the included printed manual, what each setting actually controls and then altering ones I had misunderstood and set initially incorrectly. This is real life when setting up ANY reasonably complex piece of hardware and price notwithstanding, this PIXMA is that. Included in the box is a standard and clearly illustrated Quick Set-Up Guide which allows for a relatively quick and efficient set up - especially for users for whom the default settings are most appropriate.PrintingBy far, this is the feature I most often use. The actual speed of the printing, while somewhat faster than that which is posted, is slowed by the duplexing function - in and of itself, a lovely paper-saving feature. Set on the Standard setting, the print is quite clear and saves ink over using the more consuming high definition setting. I reserve the latter for documents being printed for sending out only.A few common specs for comparison with other machines:Printing resolution: 9600 X 2400 dpi. Max.Print speed: Black: 15-29 ppm depending on settingand needed resolution.Color: 11-19 ppmPrint width: 8" (8.5" for borderless option)Paper capacity: Two: One main drawer type holding about 100 pages of paper, and a rear auto-feed

It's a relativelty expensive camcorder but we love this product. The image quality is superb and it's very easy to operate. It's compact size and light weight is a real plus when shooting scenes over several minutes. It does a great job compensating for shakiness, and the low light shooting is good, but not phenomenal. It's also a great camera for still shots. We highly recommend it.

Received this so-called printer about ten minutes ago. Piece of c*** did not work out of the box. The printer won't even accept the ink that supposedly went with it. This is the second order in a row I have had a problem with. My long standing shopping with Amazon is about to end. Plus, Canon tech support is closed. Merry Christmas Amazon and Canon! Worthless!

I really like this all in one except sometimes it does not recognize my computer on the wireless part which annoys me a little. Not sure if it is a setting issue or an operator error. Otherwise ink is cheap, even cheaper on the discount ink sites. Works great and easy menu screen.

After a terrible experience with an HP 4 in 1 which constantly jammed and the fax and scan functions of which died as soon as I tried to send my first fax this printer is a real gem. It was easy to set up (USB connection, I didn't try wi-fi) and it worked right away. They only negative is that it takes a bit longer than I'm used to with other printers to start printing, but then it does print quickly.

For the price I think you'd have a difficult time finding a better printer. Took it out of the box, set it up, loaded the software, and printed a test page in less than 30 minutes. Made a great present for my girlfriend, and she was able to begin printing, without having to read a manual. She loves it! She was very impressed by the speed. Having had a very slow inkjet previously she was very impressed when the printed piece came out of the printer like a laser printer, or copier (no jerky one line at a time creeping out of the printer, and waiting).

I ordered this printer at the beginning of my freshman year of college and I love it!The double-sided printing is awesome, and saves SO much paper. The scanner and copier work really quickly, and they produce pretty high quality images. While I'm not using the printer for photo printing, it works really well for all the projects that I have as a college student.The ink gets pretty decent mileage, and the price is definitely reasonable for an all-in-one. I have a mac, and the setup was pretty simple. I don't have my own router, so I didn't set up the wireless but I'm sure it would work great.One thing to remember when ordering this printer: it doesn't come with a usb cable (if you don't want to print wirelessly). You have to order one yourself, but they're not too pricey.I would definitely recommend this printer!

this seems to be a great all in one for the price,however im upset about the fax end of it. im replacing an older brother that has always worked well for faxing but didn't do too well on printing.the reason for the 2 star rating is that this machine really needs a dedicated fax line,even though it will work without it by hooking up a phone to the fax machine. then, and only, if you recieve a fax you must pick up the phone attached to the printer to receive the fax. if you pick up a different phone from somewhere else in the house you will not receive the fax. if you set the fax settings as fax only and someone picks up the phone when a fax is coming, you will not receive the fax.basically, you must know when a fax is coming and be ready to answer the dedicated phone attached to the printer in order to receive it. i called canon and they confirmed the operation and apologized,but thats the way it works. if you have a dedicated fax line, youre good. otherwise,great fast printing.

A nice comfortable size for the space I had. I didn't really have a chance to check the other attributes because I only used it for a few hours. The print quality was not what I would need. I need a better quality because I do professional work and my personal work for which I have high standards in the quality and detail of the printing. I returned it the next day and am sticking with my 2 year old Canon printer which is a little erratic with jamming but has excellent color. I love dealing with Amazon. It was easy to return it.
