This does a great job of printing/scanning. It is easy to install. I have not used the wireless feature and can't comment. The single color cartridge probably means that the overall quality of color prints is not as professional as the multitank. But for my needs, this is fine. Color prints look excellent to me. I think this saves money, only having to buy one cartidge. If I did a lot of color printing though, it might cost more when any one color runs out.I would suggest turning color printing off as a default to save money. Only turn it on when you need it.

Today I spent two hours trying to set up the Canon PIXMA MP560 with no success. My Windows 7 laptop cannot seem to recognize the printer when I connect it via USB. Reinstalling the Canon software included with the printer has not fixed the problem. I tried downloading the printer's drivers from Canon's website in the hope of finding a working version, but the problems persist. While installing the Canon software my laptop crashed for the first time in its otherwise dependable life.The MP560 is heavy, cumbersome, and looks like a carry-on suitcase. Maybe I will learn to love this printer -- if I can ever get it to print. At this point I wish I'd never laid eyes on it.

So, I've been out of the printer loop for a while. It's been about 6 years since I lived in a household that had a printer (since I just printed from the library in college + they just seem to be too much hassle). Well, I finally graduated and now have my own place and was getting tired of having to print simple things like 'print lables' off at work. I decided it was time to get a relatively inexpensive printer and came across this one on Newegg on Black Friday for a pretty good deal. ($80)I had mediocre to low expectations from a photo printer (since I haven't played with one in 6 years) and was BLOWN away when I saw the quality of my first 4x6 print! I was very, very impressed. I was definitely not expecting store quality prints (these might even be better). I used the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II that came with the printer.Granted, the ink is pretty expensive for this thing, but I really dont know how many pictures to expect from 1 set of cartridges, so time will tell more about that. However, the quality is really good, so I'm happy.Again, I am very pleased with this purchase. It is gonna make me get much more into printing photos than I had originally planned. (I'm thinking, it will make for some wonderful xmas presents for the fam and gf)So, there you have it. An opinion from someone who didn't expect much - but, I would like to point out that I am a software developer, so its not like I'm completely out of tune with technology, either. Hope this helps someone who may be a printer newbie who's straddling the fence.

A brief review as I barely have had a chance to use this machine but it was easy to set up - took just a little while extra to configure the wireless mode for my mac laptop but once set up the wireless worked great and the machine prints well. The only shortcoming so far and perhaps I havent found the feature but it does not seem to have control features for you to differentiate between high quality photo paper and regular paper and some other features I am used to for fine tuning a print-other than that ( and perhaps I have not found the feature) I think it is a great printer and am pleased with Canon in general.

Printer arrived earlier than expected. This was a used printer that seller described in good condition. Printer was missing computer plug and paper feed support. When ink ran out I found it would not set in possition to change ink, I was able to work around this problem. I had this same printer that stopped working so I was able to get missing parts from my old one. Great printer is the reason I tried to replace with same as this printer is no longer being made/sold by Canon.

Printer arrived speedily. Directions for installation were understandable. It performs well and our other computers can share through wireless link.Only criticism is that is is a bit clumsy to operate as a copier. Good value for the money.

My experience with the Canon PIXMA MP560 has been the worst. The tech support is a horrible waste of time both online and by phone. The printer when working does print good quality prints but is very very slow. Right now the printer is not printing black even though new ink cartridges were installed. The color printing is very degraded and nothing seems to improve even after all of the utilities are run to solve the issues. I am about to order a replacement printer and will not even consider another Canon printer.

My HP 3 in 1 started randomly printing or not so I was shopping for an inexpensive replacement. I found this Canon for $85. It was wireless and could scan. Those were my "additional" requirements over just printing. The setup was simple. It took me 10 minutes from out of the box to printing wirelessly (sp?).As I am environmentally conscious, I like printing double-sided. I could on my HP, but had to flip the pages myself. Low and behold, this Canon prints on both sides (duplex) without me flipping pages !! Wow. For under $100 !!!Print quality seems good. I've yet to print any photos but suspect the quality will be good enough to hang them on the frig :)

I received this printer today, and it is working fine. Just a few notes on setup:* It is not obvious how the print head goes in. Look at the picture _very_ carefully. No force is required!* Windows 7 has been out long enough for it to be mentioned in the manual.* The wireless passphrase, for some reason, is entered backwards. If your passphrase is abcd, you would enter dcba for it to appear correctly in the display.All minor things, I'm just trying to save others a few minutes of head scratching.

I purchased this printer a few days ago and set it up last night. Setup was SUPER easy! The longest part of it occured when installing the software on to my laptop. I would totally recommend this printer to everyone. The price is awesome, and I printed out a picture as a test and the quality was great! Looked like I printed it out at a kiosk at Target! Print time was a little better than my Canon photo printer (which I'm not going to sell on Craig's List since this printer has the fuctionality that I need) and the fact that I can print anything wirelessly is great! So far no gripes but I'll be sure to update if any arise! Thanks for reading and happy printing :)

I enjoy the ease and convenience of printing from my lap top anywhere in the house! I no longer need a "printing altar" in my home in which the printer has to be visible. I've tucked it in a closet which is accessible when necessary. Had a bit of a problem setting it up and took it to a Canon representative who solved the problem within 2 minutes. Must say - I'm very pleased!

I have had this printer for 6 months now and it is perfect! It was a breeze to set up and the photo quality is amazing! My one complaint is that it has been telling me for a month that 2 of the print cartridges are empty but it is still printing perfectly. Don't change the cartridges right when it tells you to. Wait for the print quality to decrease.

I bought this printer in October 2008 after reading several positive reviews. I would like to offer a strongly dissenting opinion!The printer barely lasted a year before the paper feed broke. Mind you, I used this strictly for the occasional home print job. No photos, just text. I doubt I printed more than 100 pages in the year I had it. Yet it still broke. When I contacted tech support, they told me it would cost more than the printer was worth to fix it.I contacted Canon "customer service," but was informed that it only has a 90-day warranty. Clearly, they expect this to break quickly. I don't consider a printer a disposable item, but Canon sure must. Worse than the useless warranty was the fact that Canon didn't offer to rectify the situation at all. My last printer was an Epson. It also broke after the warranty had expired, but when I contacted THEM, they agreed that the printer should not have broken under such light use. Epson provided me with a replacement printer free of charge. Even shipping was included. Canon, on the other hand, wouldn't even admit that it was ridiculous for a printer to break so quickly. Their only response was to offer me a 'Loyalty Bonus' of 15% off my next Canon printer. As if I would ever buy one of their shoddy products again! No thanks.BTW - The scanner is useless, as well, producing images that are absolutely unreadable. All in all, a disappointing piece of junk. I will NEVER buy a Canon product again after dealing with their incredibly poor customer service.

Великолепно

I've used a lot of printers for photos and eventually they all die for some reason or another. I looove this printer. I thought changing the print cartridges was going to be a pain but it's turned out to be relatively pain free. The quality of the prints is excellent. Even if this one dies eventually, it's been well worth it.

I've owned this printer going on 10 months now. I'm very happy with it - easy to set up and performs solidly. Printer cartridges seem to last longer than any printer i've ever owned. Solid performer to be sure. At a little over $100, it's a great value as well.

Set-up took some time, but I didn't have any problems because the instructions were clear. The wireless feature is really convenient and the printing's fine. I'm a student and this printer has more than enough functions to fulfill my needs. It's pretty big though; it takes up the whole surface of my Ikea side table. I would've put four and a half stars if that was an option.

I had a HP 4480 All-In-One since 2008 and liked it a lot, but had to sold it for a job relocation.The Canon MP560 is marked as #1 seller among all-in-one, which caught my attention. The delivery is fast but the quality is just so so.The wireless was setup easily for the first time with Macbook, but never worked again after a restart. Right now I am using a USB cable to connect them together. Print quality is OK but with low speed, loud noise and shaking movements. The scanner is worse than HP 4480 both in quality and speed. Considering the HP 4480 was made before 2008 and cost me only 69$ then, I will definitely NOT recommend this Canon for such a price.

I bought this printer as an accessory to my home office for work. It does everything I want it to do, and more! It connected wirelessly to my iMac running Snow Leopard nearly immediately with the enclosed software, and has a nice clean and exact print! Also, the APP from iTunes allows me to print wirelessly from my iPhone4. Great printer, amazing value (considering I saw the same printer at BestBuy for nearly double the price!). Love it!

The print quality is very good for my use which is mainly printing black and white pages or printouts of web pages. Quick printing speed. Using the scanner and copier are also easy to use, which is less frequent, but handy to have in this all in one. The wireless took a slight amount of figuring out: you will need to input some information about your wireless router (mine is a Buffalo which I highly recommend) in the printer settings. Once it's set up everything has been working well with the wireless. I have the printer in an office room and I can print from my living room and have never had a problem. I love not having to use cables and it allows you to put the printer where it doesn't have to be seen. The printer also looks good, has an off-white color. This is priced fairly cheap so quite a good purchase. I bought my parents a non-wireless version of the printer several years ago and they've had no problems. The wireless is even better.

When I received my MX340, I read and re-read the setup instructions before commencing installation. I had no confidence the wireless setup would work for me. But it did! Followed the screen displays along with setup instruction booklet. Counting the time for software installation, it took me maybe 40 minutes but there was no glitch or hangups at any point.Using Win7 64-bit and laptop with Netgear Router. Happy with purchase.

I recommend this printer for anyone who needs a basic printer and scanner for home use. It's compact, feels sturdy, prints fast, and has excellent print quality. Another reviewer noted that the ink is a bit expensive, but it seems in line with other ink jet printers in the same price range. The wireless took me a bit of time to get working, so if you are not technical then get some help setting this up from a friend.

I am a light user. I'd printed maybe 200 pages over the 6 months I've owned it. Documents only. When it worked, it worked well enough -- no complaints about the print quality; mainly text.BUT -- two weeks ago I printed a few pages with no problems, turned it off, turned it on a few hours later, and was greeted by the main green display blinking an alternating "3" and an "E". It could not be reset and it would not accept any print jobs.The supplied software diagnosed a paper jam and suggested I clear it. The thing is, there was no paper in the printer at all, not even a jammed scrap, so there was nothing to clear.The online help suggested turning it off, unplugging everything including the power cable, and waiting a while. (???) I did so, waiting 3 hours. Problem remained.Emailed Canon, giving them all the details, including of course the printer model. Four days later they write back asking me to give them the model name again. I did, and that was the last I've heard from them.Maybe mine was defective. Still, Canon is not doing much to remedy the defect. Meanwhile I can't print.UPDATERemembering I'd bought an extended "whatever happens" warranty from the retailer (Currys Digital), I took it back to them. They gave me a new one without any hassle. The new one worked fine a for a few months (printing some 300-400 pages), but then the very same problem happened. Seems like a design flaw rather than coincidence. Avoid this one.A readers' response to another 1 star review suggests my problem isn't unique.

This has been a great printer so far. It was easy to set up and it's not that noisy. The print quality is excellent and there are settings to adjust the color and sharpness. I have it wired right now so I don't know if it's easy to set up wirelessly. The USB cable is not included but I got it through Amazon for something like 92 cents. No big deal. I only print once in awhile so the ink will last me a long time. Overall, I think it has alot of great features for under 70 dollars.

Nothing but troubles:1. It wouldn't set up on my Windows 7 desktop.2. It kept getting install errors relating to a fax driver. I have no intention of using the fax but when I restart my computer, it tries and then fails to install the driver software (tying up my computer for five minutes or so).3. The install program is junk, and loads a bunch of unneeded and bothersome icons and programs on your desktop.

First and foremost I use this on a Mac, so this may not apply to you.You have to enter your wireless password every time you fire it up. Stupid. And then it doesn't even work. It works great when hard wired with a USB cable, but thats not what I bought it for.

This is a good printer for the price. I had a little problem setting up the wireless because the manual is not very clear in the instructions but I was able to set it up. I work as an IT so I dont know if this is going to be a problem for others. Also, when I tried scanning to the PC wirelessly, I got an error message from the computer about the MP Navigator. I went to the product website and found out that you need to install a separate software to get the scan to PC to work. Now, everything works except for a couple of things that this printer/software leaves to be desired -1. OCR only scans text into notepad. Scan to Word does not work.2. When the color ink runs out, you can not even print B/W copies.The print quality is good and it print fast but Canon needs to fix the above 2 issues. It just doesnt make sense. My older printer which is a Brother MFC 210C can scan to word and I can still print B/W even when one of the color inks run out.

This camera is well designed and has all the features I need. The only problem is that I can't get the autofocus to work well--the resulting videos do not have the sharpness I would expect from a HD video camera. And while the focus is poor normally, it is especially poor with face tracking turned on. Not sure what to do. I'm surprised that nobody else has complained about this. Could it be this camera is defective?

I had an old HP all in one printer. It made a lot of noise, and did not print straight. But it worked fairly easily. I bought this printer when that one fell off the desk and broke while moving furniture. It is the most irritating printer I have ever tried to use. The magic wheel on the control panel looks great....but just try reducing the size or changing the size of the paper you are printing on and see what you get. I literally hate this thing. Oh yes, it operates quietly, but uses massive amounts of ink and will only print on the paper it decides to print on. So much more complicated than my old printer. It is called an all in one printer, but does not include Fax. How all in one is that???

Good quality printing, easy to use and easy to setup. I use it as wireless printer on home network. Having to change color cartridges at different times is a little bother but just order a backlog and keep them around. Changing one takes seconds since it flashes which one is needed when you open the top...easy.

The Canon MP560 replaced our MP800, which was a great machine but we wanted a standalone wireless device because we had been utterly unable to network my wife's MacBook with Snow Leopard with Windows 7.Wireless setup was easy, although you need to remember that the Wi-Fi password is case-sensitive, so adjust accordingly when putting it into the MP560. At first we couldn't get the printer to connect to the Mac, but the issue was the firewall software on the MacBook.The printer was under $90 at Amazon.com, so it was great value.

I have been using this printer for almost a year now. I like it very much. When you print out pictures using photo paper, you see this machine shine. The results are outstanding. Printing regularly brings ok results, in instances, the words look faded some. Overall, this is worth buying. And the wireless setup is easy and so nice of an option to have.

Completely stopped working after a couple of months. I only used it a few times. It worked well and was easy to set up when it arrived. The ink is too expensive, too. So, now I'm stuck with a lot of expensive ink for a printer that does not work!

Quick review: I chose this multi-function printer when upgrading from my PIXMA ip3000. This one had great features, was inexpensive, had individual ink tanks, and looked like a winner. After a week I'm not that happy with it. See the subject for main points. It's not quite bad enough to ship back for a refund, but I wouldn't recommend it.[2010-01-26] Update: Note that this unit does not scan or copy legal documents, though it can print them. I think the specs are misleading, which say 'Paper Sizes 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10," Letter, Legal, U.S. #10 envelopes'. However, the on-screen docs (which you don't get until you buy it) say 'You can copy or scan the following originals. Size (W x L): Max. 8.5 x 11.7 inches'. FYI[2010-02-07] Update: The Easy-PhotoPrint EX program isn't written well. After clicking each step there's a delay that's over a minute, which looks just like a crash - spinning rainbow cursor. If you wait, though, it goes to the next step. The previous version of the software that came with my ip3000 didn't have this problem. Bloat.[2010-06-14] I continue to randomly get this error: "Error Number : 306 A communication error has occurred. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer. Then try printing again."This printer is a disaster. Don't buy it.

My father has been wanting a new printer for a while. I recommended to him that he should go wireless, since he likes to sit on his laptop in the kitchen. I received the unit and headed over to his house to set it up for him. Packaging was nice, and the unit seems sturdy and strong. Setup out of the box was easy enough (windows xp). I had it up and running in 20 minutes or so, and I was printing wirelessly soon after. The speed was adequate for a $100 wireless printer, and the colors reproduced were fine. He does not print in color so I did not get to test out the color quality. The machine was quiet and didnt jump on his table when it was printing, unlike his old HP printer did. If your looking to get a new semi-cheap printer, I definitely recommend this unit for the bang for the buck features.

Very happy with the ease of set up - getting the wireless going was a breeze. It has been working great since we set it up. Print quality is excellent. It's not too big, doesn't take up much space. Haven't printed any photos yet, so can't comment on that. Only dissapointment was the print cartridges it came with - they were the mini size and will probably run out soon.

I love everything about this printer-easy wireless setup and scanning/printing works well- but if you have a cable digital phone line the fax component will not work. The fax on my old Lexmark printer worked perfectly- but nothing else about it worked at all.

I bought this to replace an irritating HP 7160. The only thing that the HP did I liked better is it spit the pages out in order, printing backwards. The Canon wins in all other categories. This printer is not aggravating to use at all.No printer is good on ink and none deserve a 5 because of this. How many of us have tossed cartridges in the trash before they were actually empty?

Nice machine, no problems with wireless set up; the set up is for both a Mac and a PC laptop. Printing, copying and scanning all work well, with my only issue related to OCR - it took a little work to find the instructions on how to scan a document as a document, not a picture, and in scanning it, all formating is lost.

I read a lot of decent reviews for this printer, so I expected better. After having used it less than 10 times it suddenly displayed an error message. On the upside, Canon customer service was very helpful. The technician determined the printer has a hardware problem and has sent me a refurbished replacement. Overall, I'm not thrilled about the purchase.
