Good value especially when compared against the usual retail outlets on price , Supermarkets and some stationary stores require you to take out a mortgage when buying ink cartridges and can charge as much for one as I have paid for 2 from Amazon.

I have been using this printer for about 3 months and hate it. I no longer care about the print quality, because it's so annoying and frustrating when you have to wait forever for it to warm up before it can start printing. And then if you don't print anything for 10-15 minutes after the first document, it starts doing the very noisy warming up thing again, or whatever it's doing before it finally decides to put some ink on paper and spit it out.
It also tells you that the ink has run out, before it actually runs out (the original cartridges aren't transparent, so you can't see for yourself. It seems to be designed to waste a lot of the very expensive ink.

Two stars for WiFi connection, that's the only thing I don't have a problem with.

I use this printer mainly to print off photographs, and it is excellent, the print quality is so professional even at the standard settings, and it's really quick too!

You have 2 trays. In one tray, I keep it loaded with my 6x4 photo paper, and keep my other tray loaded with A4. So I can easily change between these 2 sizes just by changing my paper size in the printer settings. But essentially what you can do is, if you like printing documents and photographs... you can keep the first tray loaded with up to 7x5 photo paper, and just use the a4 tray for normal a4 printing paper.

Ink is expensive, but actually quite reasonably priced compared to some other printers I have owned in the past. You can get some very good quality compatible ones from companies such as moreinks for slightly cheaper than the genuine inks, and they have a good and trusted reputation. I've used ink catridges in the past which totaled up to

This printer is so eager to grab the sheet of paper, it pulls it through crooked and then chews it up! It does this on quality 120gsm paper too, not just the thin rubbishy stuff. It's now out of its 30 day return to Amazon period, so I've got to pay to send it to Canon. Not worth it. Avoid.

When my Canon Pixma 4200 suddenly expired after some research I decided on the Canon iP7250 as a replacement. As usual the delivery was excellent but from the start it was obvious the the build quality was not as good as my previous model. Right from the beginning the Output Tray Extension would not retract automatically into the Paper Output Tray when you tried to close it. It had to be returned. The Amazon return system is very efficient and I didn't have to return the faulty one until a replacement arrived. (the original seems to be stuck at Hatfield depot on its return trip). The print quality is very good but as others have said its a bit like a steam engine before it prints and you have no indication how much paper is remaining. As yet I have seen no indication of "ink remaining" either. I used Think ink which both Which and myself found excellent in my previous printer but the only alternative brand I have found is one from Amazon. I have not tried this as yet as the printer is only a week or so old. So its a bit like fingers crossed and so far so good with the replacement. The tray action with the replacement is much better so hopefully this will (may) last as long as my good old 4200.

A very good printer, prints duplex which saves paper. I find it a bit noisy, and the inks are more expensive, but I buy compatible ones so I save a lot on them. All in all it's a good printer and very good value for the money I paid.

The manufacturers claim this printer can be used with "Tablets" and I purchased this model for my wife to use with her Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Note which has Android operating system. I have downloaded the Cannon application for android but to date it does not work either by W.F or using an USB adapter. I have checked the operation of this printer by installing it on one of my computers using Microsoft and I can not fault the ease of operation or the results. I am surprised that Cannon state can be used with tablets without warning there may be difficulties with android which is used in a number of products today. TB

I bought this as a back-up printer and to use the photocopying function. I generally only print documents, for which my main printer (a mono Samsung laser printer) is ideal, but I needed colour prints so bought this as a cheap back-up, and - for the price - I'm happy with the quality (it doesn't even begin to compare with the Samsung for printing documents, but you get what you pay for).

However, it loses a star because the set-up process is so long-winded.

Ok, this was my first Canon printer, and I LOVED it for all 18 months of its life. It prints quickly, I can scan things wirelessly and save them as .pdfs, it does duplex printings, it printed my save-the-date envelopes beautifully, etc. I found a fantastic generic ink company that cost a whole $20 for a full pack of ink (all 5 cartridges) and always offered discounts and quick shipping, etc.The one day, 18 months in, I got the B200 error. This is typically a printhead error, and I did tons of research on it. For many people, changing out the ink tanks or cleaning out the print head solved the problem. Others posted videos on how to fix it- including throwing it off of a balcony. For my printer, this has turned out to be a fatal error. Canon will not fix it for free, as it is 6 months past the sad one-year warranty. They said I can take it in for a discounted repair to any certified repair shop- the closest of which is over 30 miles away from me (I'm in Washington DC... you'd think there would be SOMETHING closer) or I can use their loyalty program and get a 1-time discounted upgrade. So now there's this problem where I can spend $80 to buy a new printhead and hope it works, I can spend $80 to buy a new Canon through Canon with a lowly 90-day warranty, or I can buy a printer from somewhere else. I don't believe I should have to spend any money to repair a printer that isn't even 2 years old, so it's hard to want to give Canon more money for a product with a short lifespan.

Since my Dot Matrix Epson printer that I used up until my 2nd semester of my freshman year in college which was over 14 years ago, I have always bought HP printers never even considering another manufacturer. I was always under the impression that HP made the best printers and no one was ever going to change my mind. This was up until my HP 932C stopped working properly about a year ago. It would not print certain colors (mainly black) even though the black cartridge was full of ink. It could have been the ink cartridges I bought from Ebay that had expired expiration dates (I refused to spend nearly $80 for replacement black and color cartridges), or maybe the printer head went bad, but in any case I was ready for a change. I refused to go back to HP because I have read many places that they purposely date their cartridges so when the expiration date is reached, the printer will not print even if the cartridge still has ink. If this is true, then this is unfortunate and a rip off.After years of pricing and researching printers, I decided on this wonderful Canon MP560 and absolutely love it. The first thing I noticed is that is has separate ink cartridges. (Magenta, Yellow, Cyan, and 2 black cartridges). So no more being forced to buy a "tri color" cartridge if your Cyan ink runs out. This is a money saver right here. I can't tell you how much money I've wasted having to buy a tri color cartridge with my HP printer just because one color ran out. I haven't actually priced Canon ink, but the fact that you can buy them separately means you only buy what you need, and even three color cartridges cost the same (or a little more as an HP tri color cartridge), you will still save money unless you use the exact same amount of ink in every print job.The Canon MP560 is packed with cool and useful features that leave you wondering why it doesn't cost more. My favorite feature is the wireless capability which allows all your computers to connect to it provided you have a wireless network. This provides a lot of convenience because you don't have to worry about crawling behind you desk to connect the printer to your PC. In addition to this you don't have to worry about sharing the printer for other PC's on your network since it is a network printer. Setup of the wireless network is fairly easy; however entering your encryption key using the printer's jog dial is a little tedious. Perhaps an on screen virtual keyboard would have made this process a little easier, but luckily you only have to do this one time until you change your Encryption Key or SSID name. Keep in mind, even if you don't have a wireless network, you can still connect the printer to your PC using the traditional method via USB. No, it does not come with a USB cable (virtually no printers do), but a USB cable can be had for CHEAP and chances are if you've had your computer for any amount of time, you probably already have a spare one lying around anyway.This printer also allows you plug memory devices directly into it and the nifty flip up screen on the printer shows thumbnail previews of all the images stored on the device and it allows you select which one/s you would like to print. Though it seems to default to 4" x 6", you can select paper size, image quality, etc of the photo you would like to print without even having to use a PC. The media it accepts includes, Compact Flash, USB, and Mini SD. On top of this there is a Bluetooth adapter you can buy which will allow you to print directly from Bluetooth devices such as your mobile phone.There is also a scanner which also replaces my broken HP 4300C ScanJet. The only drawback I see with the scanner is that its size is only 9.5" X 11". My other scanner had a larger scan area, but since I don't plan on using the scanner that much anyway, it's not really a problem for me.Print quality to me is excellent, especially considering the price. I don't have problem with ink bleeding through with my documents using the same 20 lb. paper that I have always bought. Photo quality is really good; however you may have to manually adjust the brightness, contrast, and other settings to get the image to print exactly how you want it. The default settings don't always produce the result you may want, but a little tweaking of the settings should alleviate most of the issues. I will occasionally print photos, but for the most part this printer will be used for printing B/W documents so while image quality is somewhat important to me, I don't expect it to be perfect. Additionally, the printer has two paper trays, a paper cartridge that slides under the printer and a rear paper feeder that folds out when needed. When not needed, the rear paper tray hides away from view. Another plus is that the printer can print double sided with no extra attachments needed. Some may find the printing speed to be a little on the slow side especially with photos, but even with its slow printing it's still faster

In comparing with my previous Canon Printer Pixma ip4500 found it very slow, noisy and judders. The paper cassette being concealed no longer able to note paper reduction. Print result very good. All in all, not impressed and would not recommend this particular model.

I purchased the Canon MX882 printer from Amazon to replace a 3-year old Canon MX7600. Yes, this switch was a "bit of a step-down", but it has all the bells and whistles I need in a home office printer.My MX7600 had developed a problem where it started printing a black stripe down the back of each printed sheet. I performed every cleaning I could and tossed the ball to Canon Tech Support (who have always performed admirably for me). They told me that sometimes the felt pads that sit down somewhere deep in the innards of the printer get loose and start depositing ink on the transport rollers. Since my MX7600 was out of warranty, Canon Tech Support referred me to our local authorized repair center. A call to the repair center confirmed what I already suspected. It would probably cost more to repair the printer than it would to purchase a new one.The MX7600 had some "annoyances" I never really liked, so rather than buy the very most expensive injet multifunction all-in-one Canon printer I could find, I opted for the Canon model that had all the features I wanted; multi-sheet scanning via an auto-document feeder, duplex scanning and duplex printing. I no longer print my digital photos at home, so the photo print quality of the printer was not important to me. Nor was the ability to fax - although I do, from time to time, fax a document or two.At any rate, the printer was extremely easy for me to setup. Perhaps that is due to my previous experiences with Canon printers. I chose to use the hard wired network method since my home wireless network is already somewhat conjested. Canon gives you three methods to connect your MX882; wireless, wired and USB. You can even purchase an optional Bluetooth dongle that will allow you to connect your BT-enabled phone or tablet for printing to your MX882. I should note that the total time to install and configure the printer is about 20 minutes. Longer than most, but worth the wait.Canon supplies an adequate suite of applications to use with your MX882. However, the web printing application does not yet support IE9. So you might want to bypass the installation of that application if you are already using IE9.On running some preliminary tests, I was surprised to find that the MX882 is actually faster than my old MX7600, both in scanning and printing. And even better, Canon designers seem to have improved the duplex scanning. On older models, I experienced a 50/50 success rate in duplex scanning. The MX882 scanned all my duplex jobs without a single jam!They have also improved the MP Navigator application. The older version I was using with my MX7600 also had some annoyances that were never fixed with updates. The version that shipped with my MX882 does everything I need it too without constant reconfiguring. They "smarted" it up!One of the biggest annoyances I had with the MX7600 was the manner in which it handled envelopes. After many discussions with tech support, they admitted that the MX7600 was meant to be more of a workgroup printer rather than a home office printer. The MX882 sees when I am printing an envelope and automatically switches to the rear feed tray - just like a well-behaved printer should!I'm very pleased with this purchase and would give it a high recommendation for anyone looking for a first-class home office printer.

After a lot of deliberating and reading other people's reviews I decided on the Canon PIXMA All-in-one Printer as it seemed right for me. I had bought a new Windows 8 laptop and my old printer wasn't compatible so getting the right one was necessary. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. It was up and running within an hour of arriving. The unpacking took the longest! The printing is clear and the copies are good too. The only complaint I have is that the instructions aren't very clear. It tells you what the printer can do but not how to do it so it's a matter of working things out for yourself. If I can do it anybody can!!

Very satisfied with this printer so far. It just fits on a desk top with my computer. It produces true colours either from its own colour settings or those from Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Once you master the software and ensure that it is linked to both Photoshop and Lightroom there is enough control for all parameters to produce good quality prints up to A3+. Very satisfied so far.

A lot more on it than my last printer for example, it will spread a document over several A4 sheets - handy for a large poster. But I found this out by accident. The instructions are not that straight forward. Had I not had a printer before I would have been totally unable to insert the ink cartridges - the simple get started instructions are not! It takes much longer to print a document than my last printer and clugs away like an old machine. Surely modern technology should be slicker than this - especially a name like Canon.
Both the ink cartridges supplied with it only lasted for about 25 documents, and non of these were photos. The new colour cartridge has again run out without printing one single photo. It's hard to pick a printer because you quite simply don't know whether it will be suitable until you try it. I really wish I had not bought this one!

This is my third Canon printer in the last 11 years. All have performed really well, especially quality photo printing. On the subject of inks replacement, a set of Canon inks costs more than this printer (that comes with a set) so it's cheaper to buy a new printer! For 4 years I have bought compatible inks via eBay, all chipped cartridges and a fifth of Canon's price. All have worked flawlessly and I have never had to clean the printer heads.

I bought this machine primarily to scan old writings written on a typewriter and an old Mac I don't have files for. Also, for the fax capability and all the all-in-one features. I don't do much photography so I can't speak to that capability. This machine failed in the scanning category. It's not the hardware that's the problem but the atrociously bad OCR software for scanning. The OCR software is very basic with less features than HP's printers where you can basically do all you might want with a scanned document. In the Canon, sure, you can scan to email or a pdf or jpeg, but then that's what you'd expect out of any all-in-one scanner. Where it fails miserably is what happens when you scan a document into a word pad file. With the HP, which uses a very scaled down but 100% reliable Irisread brand OCR, my hard copy from an old typewritten document and an old hard copy of a Mac written document both scanned perfectly without a single error and keeping the same font. With the Canon, not so at all. The documents both scanned into an ugly and head shaking in wonder why Courier font, but worse, with so many errors it was useless. I'd have to retype the documents completely, with multiple errors occurring in every line. That renders the scanning completely 100% useless. The whole point of scanning text into word is to save you from having to re-type the document. Also, once you scan a document, the software is limited in how you can correct or manipulate etc your scanned documents.Otherwise, this seems to be a fine machine, looks well built and strong, parts should last. It's noisy, but I don't care about that. It's sturdy and the ink seems to be relatively reliable in terms of how long it lasts, moreso than other brands. The only other thing I didn't like about the machine is that it is a bit big and bulky for a low end all in one, but if the scanning software had been up to par, I'd live with that.I had to return this machine because of the failed scanning OCR. There's no way to know if the Canon printer would be able to be compatible with a bought copy of Readiris, I've heard they're not but some models might be. That's an extra cost too, to buy ReadIris. Another option would be to shell out for a PDF into text converter program and scan with the Canon all my text documents into pdf files and use the converter to get the text into word without errors. Either way, buying the software would equal or exceed the cost of the printer! So I might as well return the unit in time to get my full refund and try a different brand.Frankly, I was astonished in reading all the reviews here at Amazon and elsewhere that no one had complained about the atrocious scanning software on this machine that renders the scanner useless. The text documents I had that scanned perfectly into word on the HP's and so poorly on the Canon were not hand written messes, they were normal type written and Mac written documents, so they shouldn't be so difficult for the OCR to work with. Canon's is so bad it is hard to imagine what they were thinking.If you don't care about accurate scanning of text into word, go ahead and buy this, I guess. My problem is the HP printers have decent software and reasonable ink, but the power save modes on the current models constantly freeze my HP computer with Windows XP Home Media, even during print jobs when more than one page is involved. That's a fairly common complaint that HP hasn't fixed, and it's a nightmare to try to work on your computer with a printer that freezes your system, it's unacceptable. I had to return 2 HP printers as a result, tried the Canon, and it's not the answer either. Now I'll try an Epson Workforce, see if it's the answer. I'll put up with the highway robbery of their ink if it scans text into word perfectly.Update: Bought an Epson, and I'm satisfied with it. It confirms that HP and Epson do have viable scanning word to text conversion programs, while Canon clearly does not, despite what a hired product reviewer shilling on the net says in his attacks on my review.

The printer has never given good photo quality but the printer started taking all the paper at a time the sheet feeder was playing up so I had to single feed.
The print then started doing double vision print.
I have contacted Canon they offered me all the help they can but nothing has helped.
I am stuck with a load of canon ink and no printer so will have to find another one but from a company that gives the Europe 2 year warranty.

My last printer was a Canon MP610 which worked without fault for just over 5 years so no complaints there. This one seems well made but has one niggle - their is no paper cassette so the paper just stick out of the front. The MP610 looked much neater. Another annoying thing is that the ink cartridges are different so I now have 6 to throw away and they are a lot more expensive than those for the previous model on a cost per page basis.

I bought this printer in August 2011 for $120. By April 2012, all of the original ink cartridges ran out and had to be replaced. This might seem reasonable, getting 8 months of printing out of the original set of cartridges. The problem was that I was pretty sure I hadn't printed more 60 or 70 pages in those 8 months. When I first set up the printer, I loaded up the bottom tray, which I believe holds about 150 sheets. At least half of the paper was still there after I replaced the last of the original cartridges. Over those 8 months I only printed documents, which were at least 95% text. I thought maybe these were "starter" cartridges that didn't have as much ink as the new cartridges I bought. Well, 8 months later, all of the color cartridges are used up and both black cartridges are at 20%. I guess I should be happy because this time I got about 90 pages out of this set of cartridges. I should also note that it seems like the ink was being consumed whether or not I was using the printer. I'm not sure if it was evaporating or getting used up during cleaning cycles. After spending $65 on the last set of cartridges and using about $1 worth of paper to print those 90 pages, its costing almost 75 cents to print a page. At this point I will buy the cheapest 3rd party cartridges I can find, and if the printer gets trashed by using them, so be it. Besides the issues I have with the ink usage, the device does everything else its supposed to do, which is why I will give it 2 stars.

I have had a number of printers over the years (Epson, Lexmark, Kodak), but to date, this one stands out as the best yet. My only complaint is that it has been warning about low ink for over a week now, and yet has continued to print perfectly. I must have printed 40-50 pages of mixed colour and black, since the warning first appeared. It was fairly easy to set up wirelessly, and the software installation on all my machines was simple. My ipad linked very easily, and didn't appear to require a software download.All in all, very happy so far.

Великолепно

Should have bought Canon years ago. Brilliant performance, no hang ups, scanning on the nose and 100% WiFi reliability. What's there not to like?

I bought this to print discs. I use [...] to print the discs. Great quality.

I've also printed a few high quality 6x4's & 7x5's and they are as good if not better than I get from my Pro lab (I'm a photographer). Still using the original inks that came with it but I know they are not full cartridges.

I'll probably buy 3rd party inks when they run out as I've never had problems with them on my Epson.

Wifi print is a nice feature for a cheap printer.

I would have potentially rated the Pro 100 4 stars if it wasn't for the alignment issue.
after my first A3 print the photo was brilliant at first then I realized that there was a bleeding smudge on the black area of my photo, then the horizontal streaks were obvious. Bottom plate cleaning, nozzle cleaning, deep cleaning, head alignment, re-alignment over and over and over couldn't help. Then after I sent scanned copies of the head alignment results to Canon support they asked me to take the printer to be serviced, this is when i decided to return it to Amazon to be replaced.
guest what I did first with the replacement? you know it, I printed head alignment test and.... yes you guest it, the same coloumn (H) was not aligned beyond repair.
After I publish this review I will be asking for a refund not a replacement.

Disappointed that a scanner facility was not included.
As a printer I have no complaints; but to turn aside to do any scanning is certainly a nuisance.

Ужасно

I can't make the wifi work; tried several times, resorted to USB. No problem.
Image Garden is ghastly. I had a previous Canon scanner with ScanGear (and others for 20 years before that) and I could simply scan something and save it in the format I wanted in the folder I chose. Now I cannot. I can't even find the image to rename it.
For the price, the printing is good quality.

This machine has worked problem free over the 8 months or so since I bought it and it gets a fair amount of usage . I like its speed and print quality and being wireless, I can conveniently send print requests to it from my laptop anywhere in the house. Be aware that the running costs will tend to the high side because it uses so much ink compared to others on the market. However, if you are prepared to use non- Canon ink cartridges like I do, it's not so financially ruinous.
