great product... might be a little overkill for some people... if this is your first set of surround sound speakers you might want to think twice before spending so much.

I got this speaker system for a computer. It was easy to install and sounds great. The price was reasonable. When we changed the setting on the computer for the new speakers it did not take effect until the computer was restarted. Great sound for the money.. If you are into the music or gaming this is for you.

within my budget and perfect for this price ... make sure you have a plan in advance that where u gonna keep the front and rear speakers .... if u gonna place them on stand then add another 50 to 60 dollars and make sure you get the right stands that go with them and not just any universal speaker stands

When i first got these Speakers i was blowen away how good they sounded. The sound is very crisp for 50 bucks. When i added a Creative Sound Blaster 24 bit sound card, these speakers sounded like i paid 200 dollars for them. A few Cons are they never get incredible loud, and dont get a good thump to them at time. Also the base can't be turned down all the way, so sometimes they are a little to loud when you need to be quite with them like in dorm rooms. I would recomened these speakers for anyone who wants a good set of speakes but do not want to get overcharged.

Man did I ever fret over which set to buy. There was so much info about this type of product on the net that I almost didn't get it. I am so glad I did. They work great and the wireless is absolutely as good as wired in my setup. They also include a very intuitive software interface. Easy to use and setup. I added the optical input adapter for a few bucks more.

These speakers have definitely met my expectations. If you need compact speakers w/detachable connections that are great for presentations, these are the ones for you. Your typical speakers have perminant connective cables to power both speakers, well when your traveling and continuously have to take down and set up, the wires tend to loosen leaving you with one working speaker within 6 months. With the V10 USB speakers everything detaches so there is limited wear on the connective wires. I couldnt ask for a better traveling speaker.

The subwoofer control was frozen and one of the front legs to the subwoofer was obviously damaged. Eventhough a refund was to be given to my credit card, I lost $30 in shipping the defective equipment back. If Amazon desires any further business from me, that return shipping cost of $30 needs to be refunded also.

I got this item in october of 06. Within 2 days of the first delivery the sub blew and sounded like absolute crap. I sent it back and got a new one hoping that it was just a fluke. The next set lasted about 2 months before i blew the sub. yeah i might listen to loud music more often then most people but i never turned it all the way up and never had the sub as high as it could go either. It sounds great for the little while it works but i'm pretty upset that this is the second time i have to send it back and im def gonna try another system now.

These speakers work well, they produce good sound, and the controls and optical inputs work great too. However, if you or your neighbors have a WiFi (IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g) 2.4GHz wireless ethernet network, the wireless rear surround speakers in this speaker system will step all over the 802.11 WiFi network. I used a spectrum analyzer to see what was going on, and this speaker system appears to use frequency-hopping spread spectrum indiscriminately.Wireless speakers are a great idea, particularly for situations when running the wires would be impractical or ugly, but this particular implementation is incompatible with 802.11b/g WiFi networks. If this is not a concern to you (you *and* your neighbors are not using other 2.4GHz wireless products), then this speaker system may work well for you.

I bought these speakers a few months ago when building a replacement computer on a budget. The plan was to buy these for sound and then get some decent speakers at a later date. Now some 4-5 months since I bought them I'm still using them. The tiny little subwoofer is sometimes boomy but the satellites sound great as long as you don't want window rattling volume. My wife also appreciates the headphone jack on the right speaker. Every time I'm in an electronics store I look at higher end speakers and have so far decided it's not worth the difference. For $25.00 you can't go wrong with these speakers.

I like this system, its 500 watts so its decently loud, but not as loud as your regular stereo. I like to rock out to loud tunes so that was a definite must. At high volumes the distortion of the speakers is kind of bad but at the normal volume to high I would say its pretty clear sound. I wanted to spend the extra money and get quality, and I am not disappointed. If you are looking at buying this versus a lesser model I would say go for it.

The optical input does not work well. I get a buzzing/humming noise when using optical cables. No, it is not the cable, as it works fine with my other sound system. I'm currently working with Logitech tech support, but they are really slow and don't seem to know any more than I do about my sound equipment. Anyways, I'm stuck with using the analog inputs which work fine--I guess. Digital surround sound sounds better, but I usually forget about it while i'm watching a movie.***EDIT: I sent it back to the factory and got a new one, works fine now.

Well its a pretty good system and a AWESOME system for the price! it thumps and rattles My walls GREAT! however it does like with most speakers get distorted when turned WAY up.

After reading most of the reviews here, I felt pretty confident in the Logitech X-530 5.1 system I just ordered here through Amazon, but a few of the bad reviews did make me wonder if it wasn't the best quality around. Once I got the system, my mind was put at ease. The setup of the system was very easy, and luckily I didn't need to buy a sound card, as my desktop has a sound card that can handle up to 7.1 surround sound. After setting the system up, I adjusted my desktop's audio driver's settings to 5.1 surround sound, fired up iTunes, and tested the system. The sound quality and subwoofer system was amazing. This is without doubt one of the best purchases I've made, both price-wise and quality-wise. All the bad reviews here are completely wrong in my view. It's a $50 speaker set people, not a world class sound system. Get over it.All in all, I would recommend this speaker set to anyone looking for a good surround sound system, while not looking to spend hundreds or thousands od dollars on it.

I recently purchased these speakers and I couldn't be happier. After doing a large amount of hunting and looking at reviews I picked these. I was very surprised to see the sound quality that came from these speakers. All in all if you are on a budget these are very nice for the price.

For the cost of this product i could not ask for more. The sound quality is very exceptable. The only issue i have against the speakers is its a little on the low tone side, but still is very good, and you can set your equalizer to make up for it. All in all, couldn't be more happy with the purchase.

I recently purchased a playstation 3 and have a hdtv to use and the sound wasn't that great. i received a amazon gift certificate from my cousin and thought about getting a new sound system. checked out amazon and found these on sale for $49.99 and bought it. three days later, it came in the mail and i set them up easily. wall mounted 4 of the speakers, put the middle front on the hdtv top and put the subs on the floor. the sound is AMAZING!Feels like a movie theatre in my room! :)If i can give more stars, i'd give it 10 STARS!

These Logitech X-230 speakers throw serious bass for $28. I only have to turn it up 1/3 of the way and the walls throb. The volume knob separate from the power button is so much better than the Boston Acoustic BA-635. The sound is rich and volumous for music, and for pc games like thief, it is crisp and clear, especially for listening for guards' footsteps. The mesh covers for the two satallites seem a little thin, but since they sit atop the computer desk and away from mischievous cats they remain unmolested.

As soon as I got these speakers in the mail, I tested them out. They made the walls shake. These things are really loud and have lots of bass...sometimes, too much bass. But, they are really good speakers and they only cost me $40.

These speakers are by far the best i've ever used. Sound is crisp with zero distortions especially when coupled with a top of the line sound card such as any from the X-Fi series. The control panel is solid and easy to use, delivery the user with a myriad of options to provide the best playback experience.These speakers are a must have, whether u r a gamer, music or movie enthusiast..they deliver the best experience to all types of listeners across all spectrums

This USB type of speaker gives very poor sound, noticeably distorted with limited frequency range. As my Mac does not have line output for sound, only headphones, I was hoping for bigger, more powerful sound by buying these Logitech speakers. The sound was actually better plugging ordinary (non-USB) speakers into the headphone jack.

Love the sounds, love the price. but unless you plan on putting the front speakers right next to the monitor (not up on a shelf even) then these speakers are not for you since the cords are very short. Also just an F.Y.I. because of the sixth center speaker you will most likely have to set your computer for a 7.1 rather than the 5.1. No big deal and certainly no reason not to buy them.

We ordered these speakers around 2 days before Christmas and they arrived before the month's end with basic shipping, which was pretty good, before estimated shipping date. The speaker's themselves are just awsome! They are loud, and shake the whole house. They arrived in perfect condition and work like magic. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone who just doesnt have the speakers they want!

I download and listen to music from Rhapsody while I work from home, and the sound from these speakers is superb, even when I crank up the volume. The sub-woofer enriches the overall sound. Terrific value.

Wow, I was almost scared to buy a 5.1 system for so cheap, w/ such low wattage. However I am thoroughly satisfied and pleasantly surprised w/ the sound quality Logitech delivers w/ their X-530 system. Definite GREAT buy!!!

Bought V20 and tried it on my Hp WIndows PC, Sony Laptop and Mac Mini. Systems recognize V20 almost instantly. Sound quality is above average comparing to other notebook speakers but is only ok comparing to most desktop speakers at the same price range. I particularly like the portability of V20. No bulky power brick to carry with.

I'm a Creative fan so these are the first Logitech speakers I ever bought and I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a set of speakers for my laptop but since the portable models are more expensive (and probably will not sound as good since being portable means no sub-woofer) I decided for this not-as-portable model.Well, these are perfect to keep on your desktop (though the ideal placement of any sub-woofer is on the floor close to a corner), as it has a small sized sub-woofer all controls in one the speakers.These speakers sound really nice, slightly superior sound to Creative's corresponding model (SBS 350) but with less output power (Creative's SBS 350 sub-woofer is larger and more powerful)Pros:- Headphone jack and POWER button in the left speaker- No "wired remote" (which adds more clutter to your desktop)- Nice design for the price- Even cheaper than Creative's SBS 350Cons:- Small sub-woofer- No "wired remote" which means you have to keep one of the speakers close.- No bass control (which usually means too much bass if your audio source has no equalization control)

These are great speakers. Great sound, a lot of good bass. And best of all, there's virtually no interference from cellphones with these speakers (unlike my last pair of cyber accoustics). You can't go wrong with these. I even love the useful audio in and headphone jacks.

I use the speakers for all sorts of things, a. on my computer to listen to music/ watch movies b. DJ gigs (they,re pretty loud in an enclosed space, i got asked to turn it down!) c. annoy my sister by turning it all the way up! 70 watts seems low but its perfect for any teenager room its also affordable.

As most anyone will tell you, these speakers do have excellent sound and if you're just going to set them up on your desktop, then I'd give them 5 stars. However, the design for wall mounting these is horrible and you can't ceiling-mount them. Logitech does not make separate mounts for these and no "universal speaker mounts" will work with them. If you want to see how they mount, go to Logitech's website, go to product support and enter wall mounting. Some might argue that they're computer speakers, not home entertainment center speakers, but for $300, I expect a little bit better design.

I can't believe the volume and quality of sound that these little speakers produce. I consider this an excellent buy. I was told that these USB speakers have their own sound card built-in which is why the quality is so much better than just connecting speakers to the notebook's sound output plug.

I bought these speakers as a birthday present for my husband because his old speakers were wearing out. I have been really pleased with them and surprised that though they are small they put out an excellent quality of sound. The subwoofer puts out a good amount of bass also. If you are looking for good speakers and a great price I suggest these ones.

My husband got this for me for Christmas, and althought it is much more than I needed, it is a good system. If you want a surround-sound system at a reasonable price, this should do the trick for you. And the sound quality is excellent. I suppose I will end up having to get one for my husband's computer since he is constantly telling me how nice this system is.

These speakers are great for the price - and work OK with my PowerBook G4. The sound isn't as good as the old Yamaha's I have in storage, but there is no big subwoofer and power brick to worry about, either.Clear highs and midrange - had to play with the iTunes EQ settings a little to get best sound. The FF/RW/Pause buttons do not work when playing music from hard disk - but sound level and mute controls do work. Haven't tried with a CD yet. It also works fine using a powered USB hub.

Always loved logitech, and never had a problem. My old speakers were logitech and have lasted me 6 years. I upgraded to the Z-5500 and it's like candy for the ears.
