Put simply, this is the best sound-system value in existence. Keep in mind, these are not incredible high fidelity speakers, and will not satisfy the most demanding audiophiles, but for well under $100, these speakers sound like pure gold to my ears.These speakers sound great, and they look great. There's plenty of base from the large sub-woofer, and the 5 satalite speakers sound great too.There's also a headphone jack on one of the satalite speakers, so you can listen without bugging anyone else when you want to.

Great features and convenience. Too much muddy bass. The subwoofer is not a good match for the rest of the system. I have to keep the subwoofer set at about 1 or 2 on a scale of 10 to achieve a balanced sound. Logitech should do away with the "digital equalization" (The Z-5500 Digital actively adjusts frequency response in real time for the cleanest, most accurate sound reproduction) as it supresses high frequencies.Sounds great when viewing movies! My guess is, if your media is in Dolby Digital form it will sound great! Otherwise, not so great.

These are real good sounding speakers. I wish there was some way to turn of the sub so at night I wouldn't have to worry about waking people up, but for the price you can't get really any better.

I bought these speakers based on the reviews... I was expecting these speakers to be full range but it lacks the bass that most speakers in this price range has. I must admit the mids are very good but it doesn't go as low as I thought. These are decent speakers, but for the money, I would have gone with a 2.1 setup instead. My fault for not testing these speakers prior to purchasing.

absolutely satisfied in every possible way. tight, strong base. crisp highs, excellent clarity and separation. great remote & control center. good looking all around. ez setup. more volume than i could possibly stand!!! louder than a person should be around. great price & 2 day delivery from Amazon. beats all stereos i've heard up to $2k. i read reviews on these speakers for the last couple of years and regret waiting to order. absolutley satsfied in every possible way.

Just bought these at Best Buy and paid $70.00. Was just going to use them on my trip and return them after, but pleasantly surprised!! Completely powered by the USB and no batteries and the speakers have a pretty good bass kick and loudness to them! The speaker enclosures themselves are very well made and the carrying case they come with is very nice too! I travel alot and I give presentations to small groups that require speakers. I've owned two other types of travel speakers, and although these are larger, they are definitely worth the money. Just to note, I didn't turn these up all the way, but increased the bass level in my computer....the speakers were able to handle quite a bit of volume and the left speaker even begins to jump around on the table!! Loud enought for you? ;-) Try them out. -- Jeff

Speakers are small and portable with a carrying case included. Speakers sound very good for the price. The volume is sometimes difficult to adjust to a satisfactory level when listening to something other than music. Overall very satisfied with this product.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of these speakers. My laptop had very poor sound levels at the highest volume level. With these speakers it is wonderful, no need to set to the highest setting...in fact, it seems like I often am turning them down, and I love the fact that there is not a power cord to plug in. In addition, the price was exceptional!

I have an aging computer and because of the looming Vista update issues any update has to be cost efficient. My Klipsch Promedia Ultra system let me down (again) and with the subwoofer alone filling half a room any repair shipping is out of the question. This product proves again that Logitech produces true quality at an amazing price. The sound is great with deep and warm bass range, it is great for both gaming and music, you can even hook up the system to your iPod. Highly recommend it.

These speakers are great for all gaming needs. All FPS games sound phenomenally and playing now could be actually scary. `Doom 3' sounds as if you were in the game. The subwoofer is huge, but I hid it in the corner so it is out of sight. I like the variety of inputs - optical, coax and 6 channels direct. I hooked my DVD player via an optical cable and it was a pleasure to watch movies. I am not going to say that it the sub sounds as good as my SUNFIRE True Subwoofer MK-II, but there is a significant price differential between them. Which brings me to the price - simply amazing. There is nothing that could compare at $300 shipped. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone.

We use the speakers to enhance the sound produced by our Apple laptop. They work beautifully but the instructions for enabling them in the operating system software were not well done. It took some time to figure it out. I plan on giving them as a gift. Worth the money.

Saw these speakers at another site for $79 and in the store for $100 but found it on amazon for $72 the sound is good and clear but not enough highs excellent mids and lows but for the price and the sound qaulity it out performs alot of other speakers in this price range.

These speakers are pretty good for under $50. It was very simple to set up. I first tested it on my computer playing some songs from my media player and I noticed that the bass was pretty loud, even after I turned it all the way down. The sound card I am using is a Diamond XtremeSound 7.1/24 bit, it comes with a program that you can use to adjust your audio settings for Rock, Bass, Trebble, Live, or whatever you like. It works great with some of settings, especially trebble because even with the bass turned all the way up, you don't get that rattle sound that's been giving some people problems. So if you only installed sound drivers without the additional software to adjust your audio configuration, the subwoofer will really bother you. I give it 4 stars because I like the wall mounting, the wires are pretty long. Even though you can find better quality speakers, these are good for around $50.

These are great speakers for the price. The only reason I gave this system 4 stars is that there is no option to turn off or lower the bass on the sub. This can be somewhat inconvenient depending on what you need them for. Besides that, great system.

Works very well. I had little doute because price was too cheap. But it works great . This product does not makes any white noise when there is no sound in system. (some other product makes annoying high pitch noise when there is no sounds. only few people can notice that noise. and i am one of them). easy to install. One complains is line for Rear speaker are short. I think, At least , length of line of rear speak should be 5 times longer than length of line of front speakers. In this product, length of line of rear speak should be 2 times longer than length of line of front speakers. Which is not enough length for my room.

You'll get the most bang for your buck with this speaker system for under $100. Make sure you have a good sound card, or you won't be able to experience the full 5.1 experience.

The X-530 Speaker System is great. I was impressed with the great sound quality from these speakers powered by my SoundBlaster Audigy 2 card. Setting up the speakers was a snap and I had everything I needed right out of the box.

Best speakers I've ever bought. Im going to get another set for my room, they're small, but powerful, and I love them..lolz..not to mention affordable..I work for logitech and never used, let alone, tested any of their speakers. And these are by far the best I've seen, for this price.

The speakers are easy to setup, but I had hoped they would be a bit louder than they are. Great for close, personal use... but if you want to "crank it up", you might want to look elsewhere.

I was searching for something which is small enough and also does not need separate power cable and this is the perfect choice for that. It became very difficult for me with the speakers on my laptop to listen to all those beautiful videos on the net. Sound quality is good, it is just plug and play.Definitely Recommend.

I bought these speakers looking at description given on Amazon. Sound quality is not at all great. I was looking for good sound and sleek shape. Size wise speakers are good also comes with nice packing however sound quality is like any other portable speakers available in the market..not at all great.

These speakers produce incredibly crisp sound considering the $40 price tag. They're not perfect, but I've got no complaints - again, citing price. I'm confident that most MINOR issues with music I'm hearing can be worked out in EQ. I'm an audio producer by trade, so I'm pretty picky about these things... These are wonderful speakers for $40! As far as watching a 5.1 Surround movie - well, I hear no fault there at all... I just tested on the Di Vinci Code and it sounds incredible.For the record, I'm using a RealTek true 5.1 surround analog audio card.I recommend these to just about anyone... if you're not trying to mix/master a Hollywood film you'll be more than happy with these PC/game console speakers!

This was the first 5.1 system I've purchased for my computer.. And I must admit, considering the price, at first I wasn't sure if they would be even half-way decent. Ha, boy did I underestimate!Installation is easy, and me being a technical noob, was a relief. Anyway, the sound quality is amazing, each speaker is very durable, and the bass really puts it out.However, the subwoofer has been giving me problems as far as not working at times. My only complaint.But if only I could find such good quality at a price like this more often!

The speakers sounded great upon opening the box. Within a week, the sub wolfer quit working. Since I know longer have the original box, I can not return the item.

Although the bass is a bit to reponsive at times it still does sound great. I already use one for my computer and I just got another one for my tv. Really is good system not the best mid range but a lot better bass then my other speakers which are more expansive. Not so good if you want listen to something such as an accoustic song(midrange) but for anything else it's great.You can really hear the sound well when watching a big epic movie. Such lord of the rings or 24 or just listening to music is 1000 times better than the avg speakers that come with your monitor. Now I can't take the sound from the avg monitor speakers because I am so use to hearing sound come out from these quaility speakers. Beside the point it is extremely cheap for such good speakers.

I am disappointed with this product, i bought this so that i can get louder audio from my laptop.but what happened is that: when i try to volume up, speakers can not handle it and they start to move and can not stand still, and then i put something besides them to fix it, but then they had a weird voice

Another excellent Logitech product. The sound is smooth and the bass is powerful. My only complaint is playing sounds loudly with heavy bass causes it to become muddy. Otherwise, everything is clearly distinguished, it looks and sounds great, and it's an overall great set of basic speakers.

After trying several laptop speaker systems, I experienced these at a friends office. She told me they were USB so they didn't require additional wires. Just plug them into a USB port on your computer and you are set. Better sound than most systems with a sub. If you are looking for a replacement home audio system, you may want to look at something else. But the portability (nice travel case included), simplicity of use and full sound, they are unbeatable.

While I dont consider myself an audiophile, I do like to think of myself as someone who is not naive about audio. The speakers are really good for the prices you have to pay. Yes, the audio is technically only 2.1 with the the other two satellite speakers are just the front speakers split. But, who cares. 5.1 Satellite speakers only work with 5.1 capable sound cards. And yes, the sound is not as clear unless the speakers are pointed directly at you. But, this is more incentive to establish a well designed surround sound setup. I have used the speakers for music, tv, dvd and video games and can say that the dvd performance was the least impressive. But, on a whole, the speakers performed beyond my expectations for the price so I would recommend these for anyone interested in entering the 5.1 surround sound

Pros: Full range of sound with excellent bass quality. The remote works very nicely, and the center speaker is very easy to mount on top of a monitor. Cons: The bass speaker is unprotected and could be easy to puncture if mishandled while moving the bass unit or if you have curious animals or children.

I have Dell XPS 710 series maxed out for video and digital editing. HD 5.1 audio capability in my speakers is a must and these speakers are perfect. From thunderous base to shearing high pitch... no problem. What is most impressive is there ability to crisply drive both ends at the same time allowing you to composit things like thunder and glass fragments hitting the ground. The wattage is nice when you simply want to feel that base move you!

Good sound. Easy setup. Too many wires. LARGE.If you have a small computer desk, then forget it. If you don't mind a few extra wires behind the desk and have a good amount of space on the desk, then these speakers are a good choice and value.

These speakers work very well. I use them for my i-pod, laptop, and TV and the sound is perfectly acceptable. I'm not exactly a connosieur of speaker systems or home theatre systems, so these speakers are good enough for me. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a decent set of speakers but doesn't want to break the bank.

Excellent sound for a bargain price! I was looking for bargain surround sound for my new pc, and I definitely found it. I was not only happy with my purchase, but pleasantly surprised. My friends & family couldn't believe the incredible sound from these speakers only cost around $50!!! I have the asus extreme sli motherboard with onboard high-definition digital audio, and also recently upgraded to the creative xfi fata1ity professional extreme gamer edition with 64mb of eax audio memory...the speakers sound phenomenal on both!!! I highly recommend this product for anyone on a budget, or not: You will be impressed with the sound and value!

I'd give these speakers a zero if I could. After thorough research, I bought these speakers. The first pair appeared to be new, but when they were attached to both my MacBook and iMac, they produced NO sound, even though they were receiving power. I exchanged them for another pair, figuring this was just a one time glitch. It was not. Not only did the replacement pair not work, but they also appeared to be USED! I don't know if this is Amazon's fault or the manufacturer, but either way, I wasted alot of time and energy with useless junk. I don't know if they would have worked on a PC, but if you're a Mac user, BEWARE!

I don't see why an average audiophile, hobby musician or gamer would need anything more than this. This quality of sound would have been many times more expensive a decade ago. Absolute best bang/buck. Look good too.

The Logitech V20 speakers are a good set of mobile spakers for a laptop. You may want something more elaborate for a desktop, but for a laptop they're great. Came with a sturdy carry case that fits nicely in my backpack. Another plus is they are powered through the USB port so there is no extra power supply to fuss with.

The speakers are relatively inexpensive. Accordingly the sound quality is also sub-optimal. The volume knob needs to be turned all the way "up" in order to hear anything audible.If I had to do this again, I would have spent a bit more to receive a decent set of speakers.

Added a couple of Y-cables from Radio Shack and plugged into my Carversurround system upstairs; for less than $50 this is a super 5.1 system!The USB interface from my PC to the receiver allows me to listen to manyhours of music with amazing separation for a budget set of PC speakers!!!Eventually, it will find it's way back to the PC and will be worth everypenny I paid for it.

The convenience of not having to worry about fresh batteries or an a/c adapter alone would make this a winner. The sound quality is surprinsingly good for the size and price. I have owned (and thrown away in disgust) several other portable speakers. These are a keep.
