I have a 10.1 inch net-book which I use. Use both for & to promote a charity I am involved in (Kairos Prison Ministry). The speakers that are a part of the Net-book you can hardly hear. When I installed on Windows 7 64bit just pluged them in and let them install. Wow so much better, are loud enough to use for small groups to hear. I highly recommend.

Would recommend logitech speakers. Very satisfied. Easy to connect and install. Instructions could be a bit more a bit more explicit and should include reference to Windows 7 install module.

I purchased this speaker system back in October 2007, and every feature still works, each satellite speaker sounds as great as it did when it was new. Handles DTS streams marvelously.

Buy a pair of these Logitech X-140 2.0 Channel speakers and plug them into the TV earphone jack! Bam! Solve your lousy TV sound for a price you can afford! Worked for me when I bought a Vizio E320VP LED LCD HDTV! The TV speaker sound was lousy to say the least. I tried all combinations of sound adjustments, with no help, but didn't give up. I fought this sound problem for a year, and thought it was only me. I had some time off during this Christmas break to fool around with it. Got my extermal speakers and plugged them in, turned off the lousy TV speakers and wow! SILENCE! WHAT? Did some googling around and found out this box doesn't have audio out. Bummer! What now? Buy some expensive speakers just to improve the lousy TV sound! I almost gave up, and I saw a review by James. He solved his problem with some computer speakers because the E320VP does have an earphone output. I google the best computer speakers, and came up with two, Bose Companion for $90 and Logitech X-140 2 channel for $40. Googled around and found a pair of Logitech X-140 2 channel, no shipping for $25 tax, title and license. Received them in two days, plugged them in, and FANTISTIC SOUND! AWESOME in fact. listening to some Jazz..all notes that I want and can hear for a price I can afford. Left the lousy TV speakers on...doesn't make any difference now......

Got this refurbished & on sale (less than fifteen bucks delivered). I am very happy!! Plugged it in to a laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. It recognized it, loaded the drivers. I rebooted and the thing works very well. Clips right on to the top of the monitor with no problems, not hard enough to cause damage but enough to keep it in place. Now I can actually HEAR my laptop!! YES!!!! Has mini USB connection, wire and handy little carry case. Anything with a USB connection can now have speaker sound, will work with phones, computers, MP3 players, etc. LOVE IT

Logitech Z110 Stereo SpeakersLogitech Stereo Speaker Z110 (980-000522)I was pleasantly surprised by these little inexpensive speakers.Easy to hook up and good sound quality for the cost.I wanted something to hook up to my laptop so that I could play a guitar song and also hear one at the same time.The volume is very good, much more than I expected.Sometimes good things come in little packages.

These are great for the price. Be sure to measure the space you intend to put them in; they were taller than I had thought and wouldn't fit on the shelf I had originally reserved for them.

This is an amazing sound system for how much you pay for it! I use this in my dorm room and i can hear it all the way down the hall when its turned up. I use it for music and surround sound while watching movies and playing xbox. Im really happy with this purchase.

I really like this speaker. Does what I need it to do. The speaker on my HP laptop is very low so this helps a lot with watching movies/videos. I do have one gripe though, the placement of the mini usb on the back of the speaker. Its right above the clip where you'd attach it to the laptop, so at times I'd push on the mini usb sticking out instead of the clip when taking it off, potentially breaking the mini usb.

A few years ago I finally got tired of ordering speakers and only to receive in the mail cheap quality, poor sound and junk. Then after ordering Logitech speakers at a great price and getting a quality feel and great sound I decided to always first look at Logitech speakers when ordering in the future. To this date Logitech speakers have not let me down. I am so pleased with the quality look and sound of these speakers that I am ordering two more sets for different rooms of my house. Very nice.

I was looking for a set of speakers with a headphone jack to replace my current speakers which don't have any external ports. Plugging headphones into the jack cuts off the speaker sound. If you adjust the volume knob on the speakers the headphone volume will also increase. Though I didn't really need it, you can also plug in an external music source (e.g., an iPod) to play through these speakers. So, now I sometimes use my Shuffle in this way rather than firing up iTunes on my PC. So, I can listen to music without taking away CPU cycles (and, yes, I know I can do that with a portable radio too).These are wired speakers with the wires all hard connected to the speakers (i.e., you can't disconnect anything from the set). Really nice is that these use a small two pronged AC plug rather than a huge, boxy adapter. Plugging this into my power bar it uses only one slot. An adapter would block off two (the one it's plugged into and the adjacent orifice).These don't pretend to be anything than what they are, and get an easy 5 stars for good value for an honest product. I have no complaints.

The sound quaintly is poor overall. No separate bass/treble control. Lack adequate bass. You might say they sound "tinney" for the money. Construction quality is good.

I added these speakers to my desktop PC to have a better stereo sound when copying LP's to a CD. They are much better than the speakers I had, which were incorporated in my monitor, and I am quite pleased with this purchase.

I'm a music and sound system enthusiast and nothing could satisfy me but the z5500. Bought mine back in 2007 and up until now there is nothing on the market that comes close for that price. The only caveat with this system is if you have a really large room then the sound wont feel as solid, but for a bedroom or living room you will be satisfied.

The product mentioned above has been an awesome upgrade to my prior 2.1 set-up. I live in an apartment & this speaker set rocks the entire place. I don't know how my neighbors feel, but I am very happy with this purchase and the quickness that it was delivered at the non-expedited shipping price. Great purchase I highly recommend it!

I got these because the cheesy little speakers I had with my computer were so bad. I'd play a song and it sounded like the recording was damaged - yet it sounded fine through headphones. I wanted something better without spending a ton or having one of those sub-woofers that I could never find a place for. These fit the bill, sound good and appear well-made. Thumbs up from me.

First off let me make it short for those who just want a good sounding system for their PC or entertainment system and don't really care about thunderous bass or price. If you want good stereo quality sound with basic stereo level bass then read no further and buy this. It works great and has given me no issues in the almost 2 years I've used it. All features are really good and the satellite control with matrix switch is actually pretty sweet.Now for those who are looking for something with a BOOM to it, move on, this isn't it. The sub-woofer is not a "sub" woofer. It's just a basic bass speaker and gives decent, good sounding bass but it is in no way close to being a sub woofer. There is no boom, no sub. Period.As a system listed as having a "sub woofer" this sound system is not a good buy.For a 5.1 surround sound system with good quality sound and ease of control this is a good system, albeit, over priced due to the no sub quality.If Logitech were to address the sub issue on this unit they could do it 1 of 2 ways.1. Remove the words "sub woofer" from the label and call it a bass speaker and then lower the price accordingly. That would be the easy route for them.or...2. Build an actual good working sub woofer for this system that has some boom to it and don't raise the price.

I love this speaker! I wish I'd ordered it when I got my laptop. It's small and unobtrusive (takes up about six inches across the top of my screen bezel) but powerful. It puts out more sound at a setting of 6 or 7 than my Lenovo T400 puts out at a setting of 50. I am not an audiophile but I really like to be able to hear what's going on when I watch movies or a telly show on my computer. Now I can.I notice some people had trouble with the connector on the back of the speaker. I have not. But I only use it at home so I keep it connected at all times. I haven't unhooked the cord from the speaker since the day I got it. When I close down my laptop I unclip the speaker from the bezel, close the laptop and put the still-on-the-cord speaker on top of the closed laptop. If I need to pack it up for travel I'll *carefully* detach it from the cord. It seems this should do the trick. I'll be back with an update if it doesn't.The only down side I've experienced may not be the speaker. It's plug and play so I had to wait a minute or two for it to download the appropriate software. After that I had trouble getting the speaker to work. I had to close the browser, change the setting on the control panel to select this speaker and THEN open the browser. This need to set the speaker first would be a real PITA if I were changing back and forth between speakers. Since I never use anything but this speaker now it's not a problem. I'm using this with Vista Business, 64 bit so that may be the root of the problem.

this works great, I love that it only has one cord - USB (most have 2 cords - USB for power and an 1/8" plug for sound from headphone jack). The sound is a lot better than I expected, I clip it on the top of my laptop and have a lazy day in bed with Netflix

I wasn't sure what to expect with the mixed reviews on these speakers, but for the price I am very impressed. Loud volume and excellent sound quality, not to mention sturdy. For the price I'd say I got a deal as I'd expect to pay more for the product I got.

My wife and I frequently watch movies and television shows on her laptop while laying in bed. The problem we were frequently having is that the built-in speakers on her laptop were far too quiet, and it was a hassle to bring small speakers on the bed that needed to be plugged in to an external power source. The Logitech Z205 offers quality sound and volume for its price, can stay attached to the laptop without really getting in the way, and interfaces with the computer via USB, so there is no need for external power. We were both very impressed by both the quality and volume of the sound. Recently our air conditioner was in need of servicing, so we had two fairly loud fans in the bedroom, and with the Z205 we were still able to watch our shows in bed without problem. I give my full recommendation for the Logitech Z205 Laptop Speaker!

I bought this set of speakers from CompUSA, I tried to find the year but all I can remember is I bought them when I still lived with my parents, and that was a LONGGGG time ago. For all I know I could have bought these around 1998/99. Either way, they still pump out the sound as good as the day I bought them. These have moved with me to California twice, while moving to 4 different places in my time there. They have also been to 3 different houses in Idaho and the only wear and tear on them is with the bass adjustment knob. It has become a bit flaky now where it does not let me properly adjust it like it used to. Either way, for the amount of bass and depth these speakers produce, I have always been thoroughly impressed. Also, when I bought them they were $85, that was a lot of money for me at the time and I did a lot of research into the best speakers. It's good to see that my research paid off, these speakers still go for over $79.99 new as of 3/4/2012. I am still considering buying myself another set for when this one finally dies.

I bought this with the hopes of having an average system for not much money. After researching the product online I found the system can have problems with shielding. However, after trying the speakers into several different plugs I determined there is something wrong with the sub itself. The humming noise gets worse when all the wires are plugged in. Requested return with the hopes of getting a replacement system that is operational. Once that happens I will update.

I'm listening to Mahler's 9th as I write this. These speakers give very good sound for their size, although I can't quite use them at top volume without getting some distortion. I use a usb power source (eg, the power adapter that came with my Nook e-reader) to use the speakers with my ipod.
