They sound great, amazing quality, and they haven't broke yet. Amazing for the price. Definitely recommend it. Only thing is, they are a little big, and look a little odd, but other than that, they're amazing.

I bought this speaker after a lot of thought on whether it will be worth the price. Especially after reading a few negative reviews about the product. But I still went ahead and ordered it... and I am very happy with its performance.The sound clarity is very clear. The volume does not go very high, but even at max volume, the sound does not crack. The volume is good enough for enjoying movies and for some basic sound utilities. I would say - it is "good" for music but certainly not "great". You can listen to music with this speaker but if you are someone who enjoys the output of iPod, this one may disappoint you a bit.The installation is a cakewalk. Just plug the device in the USB slot and its ready for use. The casing is a cloth cover. I would have been more happy with a hard case with some cushion inside. With this case, you have to be a little careful.Overall its an amazing product and its worth every buck paid for!!!

When I received these speakers, the box was smashed in the side. The dent went all the way through the very thin, non-corrugated cardboard. When I opened the box, there was thick Styrofoam around the sides of the speakers, but absolutely none in the centers! You wont believe this, but they place the soft underbelly of the sub woofer (the "cone" part)pointing outwards with NO protection whatsoever!!! I am not joking. The entire package is encased in thick Styrofoam- except the one and only place where it is needed! They could have at least turned the soft part away from the outside! Oh, and guess where the dent was- that's right smack dab over the sub woofer's diaphragm! Amazingly, there does not seem to be any damage. So I guess the sub woofer material is stronger than it looks. It most definitely was hit.UPDATE: Guess what failed a week after I began using the speakers? Yup- the sub woofer. Amazon was very good about the return and even refunded my shipping. Went for a pair of m-audios instead. I have had far too many bad experiences with Logitech. Never again.

These speakers are great. I have them connected to a Dell Studio Laptop. I use them mainly to listen to [...]. It blows in internal laptop speakers away. Good bass, and a very good overall sound. They will fill an average room with more than adequate sound. They are great for streaming movies on the laptop as well.Plug and play.One small detail is that sometimes I must go to control panel, and in sound devices, I must choose these speakers. Once done, they continue to be primary speakers until I either disconnect them, or change back to internal speakers.The price on Amazon varies greatly some as high as 58 dollarsLogitech V20 Notebook Speakers - PC multimedia speakers and some as low as 40 dollars, be careful. It's like having a real-life bass player in my room! The overall sound is incredible. With the different settings and levels, I can getexactly what I want. Honestly, I'm surprised at how good it sounds. WELL worth the money. No complaints what-so-ever!

These speakers produce an excellent sound with my Macbook. I have read some of the negative reviews, and have not experienced any of the problems mentioned, such as the speakers not being recognized by the computer. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised that my Macbook immediately recognized these speakers even though I attached the USB plug on the speakers to a 7 port USB hub, which in turn is "daisy chained" to another 7 port USB hub that connects to my Macbook(I have lots of stuff). Some electronic devices have difficulty being recognized when using a USB hub instead of connecting them directly to the computer; and "daisy chaining" one hub off of another hub just compounds the problem. But for these speakers there was no issue.Other reviews have complained about a popping sound, but all I ever hear is music with a nice clear and crisp sound.I have the following comments:1. These speakers are not a substitute for a stereo system. There is no subwoofer, and the range of bass and treble is not as far reaching. If you need a pronounced bass, then neither these nor any laptop speakers will satisfy you. However, the sound is more than adequate compared to a stereo system, and excellent for laptop speakers.2. The speakers come with a nice case and are very easy not only to transport, but also to set up. Just put the USB cable into your computer or a hub, and the audio cable into the back of the speaker that has a receptacle for it. Make sure you push the audio cable in all the way; it's easy not to do so (as I did during initial setup), in which case there will be no sound from that speaker.3. The speakers each have a little stand at the bottom that extends about three inches to keep the speakers upright. Just keep that in mind in case you want to set up in a tight space.4. The speakers cannot be placed more than about two feet apart (mine are on either side of a 22 inch monitor that I use with my laptop) because the USB and audio cables are short. There really should be no need for longer cables, though you can always buy a USB extender and audio extension cable if necessary.5. The speakers do not take up a lot of space on the desktop, look nice, and have easily reachable volume controls on top of the right speaker if you want to control volume from the speakers instead of your laptop.I think that these speakers are a quality product, perform well and provide a nice music listening experience where portability and small size are important.

A great set of compact speakers - ideal for Roadwarriors who need a little more than the speakers that come built into the laptop. I use these primarily for demo'ing SW and they are neat, compact and light for those road trips. Some specifics:1.) They only have a USB cable included, but it does have a 3.5 mm jack socket also so I guess you could connect it to an MP3 player - but I haven't tested that.2.) No batteries required - so cuts down on the weight. My previous speakers required 4 x AAs, and if you travel like me, every weight saving is a plus.3.) They can clip on to the top of your laptop screen - great for meetings/presentations or can free stand on it's base.4.) Not so good - I wish the carry bag that it comes with - it's basically a bag with a string to tighten the opening, was a little more padded. Travel does take its toll on unprotected gear. Hopefully these will last a while.I really like the Logitech brand - I use their Wireless Nano Mouse and their Docking Station with wireless keyboard so I am a big fan of their product quality and asthetics.

I bought these pondering if they were really as good as the reviews claimed they are. Although I wish they had more punch, I don't regret buying them. They are pretty good speakers. These don't have the volume of a boombox but they do the work. They are well made.

The speakers seem to be working great thus far. The set up was a breeze and the quality of sound is nice. My only issue with these is the size. Perhaps I didn't read the specs closely enough but they are rather large next to my desktop. I would prefer they be about 1/2 the size...

I bought a pair of these a long time ago for their portability. They are great to travel with, and decent notebook speakers for one of my company's work computers. If you want something to use at home for music or media, I would recommend getting something bigger and better quality. For basic sound and travel, however, these are perfect. They have lasted a long time and I expect to get many more years out of them. Installation and compatibility were not issues for me on any Windows OS attempted.

I bought these for my computer at work but I am back on the site buying another set for home. There is not anything that I don't like about these speakers. What I do like: they are $26 so they qualify for super saver shipping as a stand along item, they are 2.0 speakers and have incredible sound, the volume controls are right on the front so they are easily accessible. Also, they just have a regular plug meaning that they power converter is inside the speaker so when you turn them off they are off, there is not still a big power box plugged in that is 200 degrees and pulling power at all time. Highly recommended.

I bought a pair of these 2 years ago because I needed some fairly cheap desktop speakers for music and movies. I was initially impressed by how loud these are. I never go past 3/4 volume because it's just too loud for my small apartment. If you're trying to fill a house with music, obviously you'd want something else, but these are plenty loud for a room or a studio apartment.The sound is good. Keep in mind that if you want bass, you should opt for the 2.1 system instead of the 2.0. I live in a small apartment and the bass I get from these is fine. I don't even turn the bass knob all the way up, more like a little more than halfway. They sound nice and don't disturb my neighbors. I have an extensive music collection - everything from trance to death metal - and these speakers play everything pretty well, again keeping in mind that they cost less than 30 dollars.They are heavy and seem to be quality made, since mine are still working after over 2 years. The grill on the front is actually a nice feature because it's solid and the holes are small, so nothing is going to get in and damage the speakers.Overall I think these are a very good bargain, and I'm glad that mine are working over two years later after pretty much daily use. I've thought about getting more expensive speakers, but since these work so well it's hard to justify buying something else. If you want speakers for your computer, these are a good bet.Update 7-12-12: I let some people use my speakers a year ago and of course they messed up the sound by playing them at max volume. I ordered another set and they sound great. Still a great bargain for under $30.

Don't buy it. these speakers have an integrated power supply with the amplifier circuit. I heard a constant buzz from both speakers whenever the speakers turn on louder or not.

the most outstanding feature is the spring clip on bracket to hold the unit to the top of the screen .no extra power supply or boxes to contend with .the short USB cable to hook it up is just long enough to cover any size screen you might have , Mine is on a 15" Toshiba Satellite the built in speakers lack volume and no semblance of quality sound . this little unit adds a good volume boost and a depth of sound from the highs thru upper bass levels to greatly enhance the sound . no these are not boom box quality but are well worth the money 32 $ .appearance is very attractive and professional looking. small enough to fit in any laptop case the carry case is keeping it scratch free. hook up and working is less than 40 seconds volume controls at top are very convenient. As usual LOGIC TECH delivers a good product reasonably priced and durable. I would recommend this to any body .

Purchased through Amazon for $40, though I see that they are up to around $55 now. They are certainly a step up in both sound quality and volume to built-in notebook speakers, and I like not having to plug in another bulky ac adapter into my already crowded power strip. The included case is a nice feature as well.Don't expect stellar sound reproduction here though. Obviously low end frequencies suffer the most with such small speakers.The biggest flaw is the shoddy buttons built into the right speaker. I'm surprised so few people have mentioned this in other reviews. Maybe it's just me, but I expect some amount of "give" to buttons when pushed, so I can actually feel that I've pushed it. Not the case here, it feels as though the buttons are permanently jammed (they do give slightly, just not much). You need to push with more force than should be necessary to get the desired effect as well.My other problem (and I supposed this could be due to some settings with my notebook computer rather than the speakers themselves) is that the volume changes are fairly subtle at the lower volumes but get pretty extreme at higher volumes. In other words, at softer volumes, each press of a volume button results in only slight changes in volume, while at louder volumes, each press of a volume button results in large changes in volume.To me, the product would be worth spending $30-35 on, but certainly no more than $40, let alone the $54.82 that Amazon is currently charging.

The product was surprisingly loud for it's size! It's not by any means surround sound quality but sounds very good for it's size. It's a huge improvement over my laptop speakers that's for sure! You wont be dissapointed.I think the price should be a little less but then again for the ease of use and size it makes up for the expense. They are truely plug and play!I did receive this unit with the usb connector that connects to the speakers bent. The plastic housing that covers the usb plug is what was bent. I bent it back into place and it seemed ok. I havent had any problems with it.** Update 01.12.11 ***Product broke! The usb connector ended up not staying in the back of the unit. It would then connect and disconnect the unit and thus causing laptop to freeze up constantly. Received a replacement that took weeks and the replacement sounded horrible compared to the original. I wrote company back for another replacement and was told theyre out of stock and it would take 2-4 weeks to receive.

Not sure why so much hype about this Speakers ?. I heard them many times and price did not convince me to pay $300 for these PC Speakers. If it is Bose, I understand but for 'logitech' brand, i thought I must be out of my mind, if I decide to purchase these. All I heard was thumpy bass and no mid or highs clearly.Many THX home theater speakers you can get at this price. Not worth more than $99.

We recently purchased a new computer and did not get speakers with it so after much research on quality and price comparisons, we found these on Amazon and were shocked at the price. We decided to risk seeing if they were okay and Wow! what a surprise we received upon their arrival. First of all the quality of the speakers were very nice. Very durable and nice looking. Then we plugged them in and turned them on. Who needs a stereo with these! The sound performance is unbelievably incredible. We are more than impressed with this product and for those skeptics (like us) that say, "You get what you pay for." Well it doesn't have to cost a fortune to have a high quality product!

The Z205 are a compact speaker. They are easy to attach or use standing on a table. They are very portable with a small nylon bag to keep everything together. But this convenience comes at a price. THe speakers are not powerful. the sound is tinny but they are fuller than the sound of most laptop speakers. There is no bottom end so the sound is always flat. That being said you can direct the sound forward, they are louder that most laptop speakers and they are ultra portable.Now I will not complain because it is what I was looking for and I was not under the dilution that these would replace a multi-speaker system that cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars. For 25 bucks i think they do their job and I won't complain.

I was looking for affordable home theather 5.1 to use with my lcd tv and ps3 also ipod touch.There is no connection option there is a convertor but you need to get another aux cable to hook up your thing.I didnt try the system with computer.The meterial quality is really awful,bass is huge and powerfull on the paper but nothing enjoyable.there is no way to use other speakers without 5.1 supported sound card on the pc.except 2 front speakers,rears and center were awful when playing song from ipod touch.(press the button on the wired remote 5.1 button)I checked reviews on amazon,review are high but i think,its good with pc.i do NOT recommend with any other things( ps3,lcd,plasma,i pod)

Below are first impressions on hooking these Logitech X-140 2.0 speakers up to my computer, an internet radio, a TV and an MP3 player.Here are the physical attributes I like. These speakers are thin with a small footprint and are easily grabbed and moved from place to place. The wire joining both speakers is heavy round cord, unusual for tabletop speakers. An attached long 3.5 mm stereo cable plugs into your computer or other source. There is no block power supply, simply a standard 2-prong AC connector. The front has two jacks- attach a stereo headphone or a stereo 3.5 mm plug from a source. The speakers angle about 65 degrees instead of straight ahead at 90 degrees, throwing sound up at your ears from the table.These Logitech X-140 2.0 speakers produce pleasant sound. High notes come through perfectly, good for hearing-challenged older adults. The tone control actually controls the amount of bass added while not swamping or degrading the nice high notes. The speakers may be played at low volume without apparent loss- perfect for quietly listening to music or voice in apartments or condominium.I've bought powered computer speakers in the past and have been disappointed. These are high-value, budget-priced speakers. I plan to buy a second set very soon.- Arthur.

This Logitech X-540 worked fine at first. It put out quite a bit of bass for such a small subwoofer, and so cheap a system. It sounded fine for the cost, but was lacking low mids and upper bass, common for these type systems since the satellites don't carry any lower tones. The problem came about three weeks after I received it. I noticed the bass was missing. I turned up the subwoofer to max and increased the bass on the computers graphic equalizer, and was able to get less than half the bass it put out previously, though it was clear. I sent it back for a refund and went with a better product. Thank you Amazon!

This is a great set of speakers. I have it hooked up to my television,PS3 and computer. Its easy to plug into my iPod also. Switching between devices is as easy as pushing a button on the remote...or the receiver itself. Once I mounted the speakers everything sounded great. The sub is strong and can hit the bass like a charm. The set is a little pricey but I think that it is a great value for your money...I will have this set for a long time.

Awesome product... especially for the price. I watched some war movies with it on my PS3 using the matrix and sounded awesome. Twigs breaking behind me and everything. I might look at the product that was recommended somewhere in the reviews or questions to be able to get good sound without the matrix mode though... which leads me to my one and only dislike about the product. I really wish this thing would have an HDMI input! Even without it the sound is good though. Don't hesitate to get this for a PS3.

These are perfect. I did notice that on the computer if you go into control panel and change setting for sound and put the equalizer to powerful, it will fix all the things everyone was saying that they lack. I think they are great.

These speakers are quite large for 2.0 systems but they use that size well. This thing has better sounding bass than most 2.1 systems in the same price range. The highs and mids also preform wonderfully and the system fits nicely on a desk. If you really love music and you have the money, I'd suggest moving up to the z523 or the big daddy, the Z2300 (still lusting over them!) but if you're tight on budget or just like to be realistic with your purchases, this is definitely the system to get. You could go cheaper but you'll miss out on a lot if you do.

Logitech did a wonderful job as far as the quality of sound that comes out of these speakers. I bought these speakers when I'm on the road in a hotel and I get bored at night and need some music to listen to. They're great sounding and loud. You'll be surprised at the sound output considering they're powered right from your USB port on your computer. No software is required for them, plug them in and you're good to go.My only issue, well it's not even really an issue, is that they do bounce around the table a bit when the bass is up all the way and they're on pretty loud. But, it's kind of funny to watch.My last issue is, say you're on YouTube on your laptop and you decide to use your speakers once you're already on the site. The speakers will not work. You have to plug them in before you open your browser and go to the site you want to use them on. I believe it's more of an issue with USB drivers or Windows as opposed to the speakers directly.They also come with a nifty carrying case which is really nice. I'm able to keep my ipod touch in there with a digital camera along with the speakers. These speakers are worth the money and you will be surprised by the output of USB. I bought these after hearing my buddy's speakers, he has the same ones, I couln't help but having to own a pair.Would reccomend to anyone that wants quality powered USB speakers.

Writing this review for all of the peeps the only look at 1 star reviews to get "honest" opinions. I've had them for 2+ years, never needed to deal with costumer service. Sounds is really quite good for computer speakers, the satellites perform as satellites do with crisp high end response, a little bit tiny sounding, lacking mid range sound. It's a little difficult to find a balance that tricks your ears into hearing a flat mid-range, but that's what you're buying. I've been using them lately with blu-ray digital on a PS3, work great. The setup is easy (e.g. plug it in). I didn't notice a lick of difference with MP3's playing optical or with the the 3 1/8th inch connectors (forget what they're called, maybe just stereo, or 5.1). However, digital with the blu-ray or a 96kHz hi-fi or HD music file is terrific. The surround sound is good and there's a lot of flexibility with how you setup the sound in accordance with your tastes. You can also use the THX tool that comes with the system to further tweak, I found the tool a bit cumbersome but you can tweak individual speaker volumes which is nice.Lastly, as for it's durability, again, had it over 2 years, it has a bug where the power doesn't work, remedied by unplugging the sub and plugging it back in - happens about 3 times a year. This little bug is probably due to the fact that my house flooded 4 inches of water and soaked the woofer and the power strip on the ground. Dried it out for 2 days, still works with this little bug. The guy who blew his woofer twice is seriously pushing the limits of the device. A likely scenario is that it overheated since these kinds of subs get stuck in the corner somewhere without ventilation and it can draw some heavy power for a computer device, thereby generating a lot of heat.Overall, it's not a bad product, I'm about to buy a set for a birthday gift. I like good sound, without breaking the bank. This is a nice in between. Want better? It'll cost you. The only con I would say is lacking warmth in the midrange which the sub doesn't quite mask and the satellites can't quite acquire. Pros: it's real surround, 5.1 dolby, dts, thx, the works, and for the price tag, it's great.

I had been using my laptop in bed with two little speakers that the wires kept entangling or shorting in the wires. I love this little speaker, it is perfect for my use. I have it clipped at the top of my Toshiba and no more tangled wires. As some others have said if you are expecting top quality sound this is not for you. Volume control is very limited and it does take over the computer sound, but that is fine with me. I don't regret buying this, so far it is working fine for my gaming while in bed.

These little speakers have great sound. Though not as deep and rich as my Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System with Subwoofer, the sound is crisper. The volume capablility isn't as powerful as the X-540, but that might be a good thing, especially to my neighbors. It still has plenty of bass and the subwoofer weighs significantly less than the X-540, which makes moving it around much much easier.

I buy technology for my school. These are stupendous speakers b/c they are easy to setup, plenty powerful, sound decent, and are very affordable. I would purchase these again or m-audio av30 or av40. They're easy to setup b/c all the wires are fixed. They cannot be lost or mis-configured.

It took all of six minutes to unpack these speakers, read the directions, plug 'em in and start listening. Really, it was THAT easy. It would have taken less time if I hadn't read the directions, which weren't really necessary as this is truly a "plug and play" (USB) system. The sound is quite excellent for the size of the speakers, actually MUCH better than my desktop speakers. I am using them for a netbook and realized immediately that I will be using them to watch/listen to downloaded video content (movies and TV shows) without losing a thing. The clip-on feature on the single unit that holds the two small speakers works great and is fashioned in such a way as to not damage the screen portion of the netbook (in my case) or laptop. They seem to be fairly sturdily made, but the travel case provided isn't anything more than a thinly lined vinyl sleeve which wouldn't seem to protect them well. If I am in transit, I will opt for wrapping the speakers in a soft and carry them in a similar sized plastic covered container to protect them. These sound SO good, I am likely to purchase a set for my daughter's small desktop system, both for the sound quality and space saving attributes. Very deserving of FIVE stars!

Absolutely the best sound I have had for a compact system. This system packs a punch! the sub is completely dangerous. these speakers can handle pc sound to tv and video game sounds! it is amazing, and can not wait to get them back. While 5.1 isn't the latest, it still does the job.

Great speakers for the price. Many speakers out there have way too much bass for my liking. These don't, which allow for a more balanced sound. Plus, you can plug them right into your ipod!

Honestly speaking when I first heard them, I was very disappointed as I didn't feel enough punch and planned to return them asap. Then I made some changes to the setup and they sounded completely different.Here are some of the changes that I made and that might help you:1) Place the woofer on a solid base. I initially had it on my carpet and it sounded terrible. All I heard was vibrations and no clear sound. I have it on a peice of cardboard now and I feel the punch.2) The woofer has three wires coming out of it(green, black and pink). Since I have just one headphone jack on my laptop I was connecting just the green color wire to it. This meant that I always had to keep the matrix ON to get the sound from all the speakers. I bought a three way headphone thingy and connected the three ends of it to the three wires from the woofer and plugged the other end into my laptop. The sound quality improved drastically and they sounded very clear and completely different from what they sounded initially.3) Since I use the 3 way headphone jack to connect to my laptop, I dont have to have keep the matrix ON to get sound from all the speakers. These speakers sound a lot better when matrix is off. It sounds is very suppressed with the matrix ON.I made these changes and was listening at half base level and half the volume when my neighbor came complaining about his room getting shaken. This was when I decided against returning these speakers. These speakers have more than enough power to trouble your neighbors :)I use these speakers with my 50 inch HDTV, PS3 and Laptop and they all sound great with these speakers.A great buy!!!

Good compact speakers that are easy to use. The sound quality is generally good unless you are listening to classical piano music where the volume has to be significantly reduced to avoid distortion.

I love these speakers! Simply put: THEY ROCK!!! They sound GREAT! I enjoy watching movies on my computer using my Sharp Tv as monitor. I just couldn't believe that the sound was coming from these speakers. The only draw back is that they don't work on Mini Mac PC. I am very glad that I bought them and the CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER SOUND CARD which makes it possible for the speakers to function on a computer. If there is anyone out there looking for PC computers, DO NOT HESITATE to buy these. Thanks for reading and go and get them. WARNING: THE SUBWOOFER IS HUGE!!! BUT IT IS WORTH IT!

This speaker system is very easy to install. The instructions are complete and easy to read and understand. The sound quality is excelent through the full frequency range. It is 100% better than anything I have experienced before.
