Nice and cheap, but work well. They're a bit large compared to many computer speakers, but I had a problem with my cats knocking my old, lighter pair off my desk, ultimately breaking them. These sound better and don't get knocked behind my desk by cat butts, so I like them just fine.

They're no Bank & Olufson cos they're not B&O - they're Logitech and you get what you pay for. Decent enough volume, good sturdy design and a pretty good range. I have a very eclectic music collection and so far, so good. If you're looking for quality, you're gonna need to spend more but if you're looking for a cheap pair of speakers, these are all good.

These speakers may be small (great space saver!) but they are loud. and the sub is awesome. Listening to DCI videos its like youre they. amazing sound quality. i do recommend.

I have had these speakers for about 3 years now, and they are still working great. The sound quality is fantastic for the price! The 5 surround speakers produce nice clean mids and highs, and the ported woofer produces strong powerful bass. The speakers get surprisingly loud before they start to introduce distortion. It is loud enough that I can comfortably listen to my music from the second floor. Matrix mode is nice; it allows me to listen to my stereo music through all of the speakers. There is also a nifty bass boost control on the remote. This is a nice setup if you are looking to rock out without spending too much money.

For the price this is an outstanding speaker system for a computer. If I want incredible sound, I'll burn songs to a CD and crank it up on my stereo system. As for listening to newly downloaded songs, this system is perfect. I think you catch my drift.I'm a 56 year old proud Detroit Rocker who demands good sound in my music. I'm not disappointed as a customer.

I listen to podcasts non-stop - that's what I got these for. I turn the bass all the way down which helps get rid of all the bass that carries through walls (The bass knob is right next to the volume). The bass response is quite good without a dedicated sub.I own 3 different set of Logitech Speakers, all different models. Great brand. These do the job.

I've been a bit unhappy with the built-in speakers on my laptop and decided to give these speakers a try. Below are my pro's and con's on the Logitech Stereo Speaker (Z110) system.Pros:- Very good sound, especially for the suggested retail price. While these are simple speakers, without any contols or adjustments on the speakers themselves, the sound right out of the box was rich and full. At full volume, I coudn't detect any distortion or tinny sound.- They're powered by connecting to a USB port on your laptop, so you don't need an AC power cable or AA batteries. On a few short tests, I couldn't see where they noticably affected the battery life for my laptop.- They're fairly attractive and don't take up much room.- The volume was much louder than my built-in speakers. At 1.2 watts, they won't rattle your windows, but they are sufficiently loud for most purposes.Con:- As noted above, there are no controls on the speakers themselves, not even for volume, so you have to adjust the sound from your computer's volume control.Neither a pro or a con:- Logitech advertises that the speakers have a cable management system so that you can forget unsightly cords. I thought that they might have retractable cables, much like some vacuum cleaners have. But I was wrong ... they have a recess in the back of the speakers that you can wrap extra cable cord into. It works reasonably well, except if your laptop has it's USB ports on one side and the audio input jack on the other, as mine does, in which case you still basically have unsightly cables, although perhaps not as much as otherwise. If your audio input jack is in the back of your computer and/or you have a USB port in the back, it would be much tidier. Otherwise, depending on your laptop, it's a good idea that falls a little short.Overall, these are a huge improvement over my built-in speakers, are easy to install, and have a nice sound. They won't take the place of your high end speakers, mind you, but that's not these speakers' mission. If you're looking for inexpensive speakers and can live with making volume adjustments from your computer, these are a good value for the dollar.

These speakers with a sound blaster audigy card are GODLY!They are a little large in size though, so be prepared for some pretty large speakers if you buy these!But I can say for a fact, the audio quality is excellent and can handle some serious bass and treble sounds!5/5 product hands down! Logitech is still my favourite!

I was vacationing at a cabin and they had internet access, so I tuned in my Sirius Internet radio and was able to listen to the various channels I like at the cabin, in the hot tub, etc. I was happy, but the laptop speakers were so tinny and you had to be right up close. So the idea of a portable speaker that plugs into a USB port on the laptop sounded ideal to me. Other reviewers said the sound was good, and it is. It easily fills a room. So now I'm ready for my next vacation at the cabin, and I can use it for listening to conference calls, webinars, etc, so that I'm not chained to the laptop or chained to the plug in speakers in my office (which I have now removed).

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU CONSIDER BUYING!Logitech admitted that ALL X-530 speaker sets were faulty back in 2006. ALL of these sets WILL pop anytime a light switch or power surge of any kind happens.Please type this exact phrase in any search engine "Logitech X-530 popping problem" and you will find over 30,000 hits in regards to this known problem, including Logitechs own website, where they admited that they knew they were defective back in 2006.IT IS A DISGRACE THAT ANYONE IS SELLING THESE KNOWN BAD SPEAKERS THAT WERE KNOWN TO BE BAD FROM BACK IN 2006.

I clamped this speaker on the top of my 23" monitor & tossed out my old speakers which took up too much desk space.Very practical alternative to regular speakers because you simply plug into a USB port & the speaker turns on/off with the computer itself.Two things to be aware of before purchase: (1) The clamp itself will not expand over 1/2 inch, so if your monitor's top edge is thicker than 1/2" the clamp might not secure the speaker well. (2) USB power cable provided is for laptop use, which comes up short for connecting to USB port on desktop, consider buying a USB female/male extension cord along with it.Overall, a great little speaker with excellent sound quality. Love the fact that it comes ON/OFF along with the computer and cleaned up some clutter on my desk.

What can you say, they are good speakers. Good mids, highs and bass is not bad either. I love that it has both an output and input on the speakers, very convenient if you do not want to unplug what it is already plugged into in order to play from an mp3 player.

I bought this item about 3 months ago and it has broken twice. The first time, Logitech fixed it, even though the problem wasn't covered by the warranty. They told me they wouldn't replace it a second time. The speaker sound quality is good. The problem is that the 3.5mm stereo jack breaks very easily. It is very cheaply made and I am not surprised that it has broken two times. By comparison, my hp speakers have been going strong for a few years now and I can tell instantly by looking at it and feeling it that the stereo jack is much stronger. This has been very disappointing and I would give it no stars if I could.

Sadly, today's laptops lack in sound quality. But for a small fee, this Logitech speaker turns your laptop into a stereo. Listening to music, watching a movie, or watching anything online will sound 100% better with the help of this small speaker. It just plugs into your laptop's USB and clips right onto the top of the monitor...so it's not taking up any space on your desk. So simple. And so worth it.

I had to replace a portable 2 speaker appliance for my laptop (you know, the old ones didn't come with great sound from the internal card) and the Logitech Z205 Portable [clip on] speaker arrived just about 20 minutes ago and I've tested it on YouTube and a couple other videos. Very impressive Sound!!There is no software involved, just clip it on the top of your monitor, plug it in the USB port, and that's it! What I like about this one is there is a convenient sound adjustment on top. The speaker even comes with a travel bag, all for an extremely reasonable price.The only con is that I will have to remove it to close the lid, but after hearing the sound, I can live with that. Sure made me realize I have been missing!

Awesome value for the price, bass bumps, speakers are all decent. Dont expect this to be studio quality, but for gaming, movies, and music, this is a great buy for any highschool or college student. I had these for a while, dropped the speakers a bunch, still worked, ended up blowing 2 of the speakers after 2 years, and the bass broke the glass it was stting on. Pretty much a badge of honor. Now that I am getting older, pockets getting deeper, and ears becoming more refined, I will be investing in a higher quality set of speakers. But when I had these, it was a good time.

Just a quick review. My other speakers quit. I was worried about getting new ones and I'm NO TECHY so worried about getting them hooked up. Well, open the box, plug them in. (green thing on modum and electrical) and THEY WORK!!! I was very happy. And they are so quiet. My old ones hissed and popped. I thought that was how it was. These are great! And look good too and price/value is wonderful. I only use them for videos, etc. I'm A+ pleases!!!

I'd love to tell you that this speaker set transcends its price point and competes with the big boys, but it doesn't. It sounds like 5 cheap speakers and subwoofer. In my case it actually sounds worse that the speakers that were in my monitor (Apple Cinema Display).The 5.1 effect is noticeable, but not impressive. Cables are very short. This really is designed to be used at a computer desk, and isn't suitable for anything but the smallest of work stations.Spend a little more if you want anything other than entry level sound.

It's a great product with great sound quality and multi-channel support. The one thing I do not like about it was that the cords for the rear were a little short for my room.Except for the short cords for my computer room, the product is great. Sound quality is top notch!

I've had this model for about 5 years now, and they've been thru some hard times...very hard times...and they are still as good as the first day I bought them...the sound is great, and they are built like german tanks. I could probably use them around the house instead of a hammer and they would still work smoothly...of course there are a lot of features missing but for this money I would prefer rock solid built and good sound over sophistication that lasts one day after the warranty expires. By the way I was just browsing electronics and I saw them and I just had to leave a review. It's my first one ever. I'm just too pleased with them not to share my good experience with other people.

I had been looking for speakers for my computer so that I could listen to my workout videos and just needed something small and convenient that I can attach and detach whenever I needed to use them. (I normally use a gaming headset). I came across these at Fry's for $8.00 and thought I'd give it a try. Totally worth the price. The clarity and volume were excellent for my small sized room. My friend saw these on my desk when she came over and loved the way they look and sound so she got one too to use on her laptop when she's cooking. Would have loved it if they had a volume control so I didn't have to adjust it using my computer, but it really isn't a big deal.

well its not booming bass but its decent enough. the connections are good and the overall sound is decent. I recommend this for travel in quiet places but the volume is lacking.

I have had this Sound system for my Xbox 360 for around 6-9 months now... it has been through 2 moves and been dropped several times, i don't hear any static sounds and bass is terrific on it... definitely would suggest this for a casual gamer for a game room!

I bought these about a month ago, and am very pleased with them. I was listening to my Toshiba laptop speakers before these, and the contrast is night and day. I listen to a lot of jazz, and an acoustic bass actually has some weight to it, not just mud. These are not "high fidelity" by any means, but impressive sound quality for the size nonetheless, just don't expect to play them loud. They stand stable enough on the desk, and seem to have enough heft to remain upright. The "Tone" control, btw, is actually a "Bass" knob, where the bass increases as you turn it clockwise. I just leave it at 12 o'clock. My only criticism concerns the power-on light, which is way too bright and rather annoying, but that was easily solved with a 7/16" dot of black electrical tape.I've used several different models of speakers over the years, and these probably provide the best sound for the money of the bunch. Highly recommended, and an excellent value for your $25.

There's not doubt about Logitech's X-series speakers being the best they've made yet. It's a shame these are so hard to find. Don't let prices deter you though - they are worth every dollar.

These speakers are for devices with surround sound. Shocking, I know. Turns out, for example, my Mac doesn't. You can still play your iPod or whatever on them (hint... it's the green wire), but not all the speakers will work. There are workarounds to that, but none of them produce genuine surround sound, just more speakers playing your music / movie / game. So if you're mildly technologically illiterate (who new a brand new Mac doesn't have surround sound capabilities?), keep in mind these speakers are designed to work with fancy devices... that actually have surround sound. If you just need normal people sound that doesn't surround you, you can probably save some money on a less rad speaker setup.

These speakers are the best for DIY people who wants the best for every penny you spend. It took me an hour or two to hook this up to my room with some some work on making it run across my room. the cords of front and center speakers are decent enough for installing it in a desk or a wall close to your monitor with the subwoofer on the floor but most of the time, the rear speakers wont. I hope this had extension cords running 20feet they didnt. It might increase the price if they do but its an easy task to do. you will need a RCA plugs($3.99 for 4 pairs at radioshack), speaker wires and RCA female to female for extension($.99 each at 99cents store) and soldering tools. cut the wires the the desired length, solder RCA plugs on both ends, connect to subwoofer to the desired speaker port and connect the other side to the speaker. Staple to the sides if desired.PROS:Flexibility - you can do alot of upgrade on this one. its easy to extend the wires without cutting/splicing any of its wires by using RCAs. And the best thing i love is you can replace the speakers with better speakers like i did. i bought speakers from component systems at goodwill and hook them up with this one(except subwoofer). it felt like a $500 sound system. FYI, Using a creative xtreme gamer sound card. dont get me wrong, original speakers are good but it lacked good bass. i suggest replacing them buy buying or looking around in your garage for some old good quality speakers. I swithed speakers to upgrade, not because the one that it comes with are broken. they are still working pretty good.5.1 channel - matrix mode is good but its stereo being channeled thru 5 speakers. Use a PC and configure them to put out 5.1 and adjust the volume of the rear(using ac3filter) and watch a DVD. you will feel the everything. increase the bass and watch saving private ryan, you will even look back to check some explosions that you can hear behind you. I dont reccommend that you max your bass, the vibration can be annoying to your neighbors.Volume - It can fill up my average size room with loud sound with about speaker volume to 60% and my pc on 20%. I havent tried putting them on both 100% but you get the picture, unless you have to put these on a cinema sized room, volume is way enough.Space - the subwoofer takes only a small space. the speakers too and can be mounted to a wall.CONS:work work work - the amount of work you have to put up to make this work can be a lot for other people but for me, its average and worth the extra effort.Upgrades - its the (my opinion) basic 5.1 speaker package you can see on the market. it has no wireless remote, no wireless speaker, doesnt auto adjust or synchronize with the others, no optical or hdmi input(just 3.5mm jacks) but this things are available on other more expensive speakers.no complain for me though and im using this for two years now. i have no issues with anything. its still the best speaker i bought and i think i'll be using this till the technology is obsolete and PCs doesnt support 3.5mm jacks anymore. Im free for questions, discussions and comments.

Great clear sound using a 5.1 card. Love it in games and movies. The Sub is heavey which is a good size indicating it has a big speaker under its belt.

I bought these as a gift for my wife. She is a teacher and wanted a compact speaker that would have enough volume to be heard through out the classroom. This product works well for that purpose and appears to be very well made.

I use these with my "desktop replacement" laptop, which is located off the kitchen. I wanted speakers that were loud and strong enough to hear from the next room. These definitely fit the bill: no distortion like my other speakers! I wouldn't consider them to be too portable, but if you have a laptop that "lives" on a desk or table in your home, then they're perfect.

I bought these and the GoGroove Sround Clip Speakers. They have the same sounds quality, 10 times better than the built-in speakers but the Sound Clips have a much better stereo image due to the wider separation. These sound like almost one mono speaker in comparison.The main flaw with these is that the speaker will cover your webcam on top of your screen. You could easily slide it to one side when using the cam but the Sound Clips of course don't have that issue.Otherwise a simple to use, cheap/easy speaker upgrade.

the first time when I turn the volume to the maximum, the bass can handle that, but the next days later, when I turn the volume to maximum, the bass cant handle that, I can hear the bad sound, the bass is broken the sound, no more clear. I paid up to 100$ for the speaker, and now i got bad thing. No good at all
