Pros: Cheap, you can take them off, crank up the volume and use them as desk speakers.Cons: For a closed ear headset I was disappointed as they had ZERO noise reduction. Very difficult to game w/these on if there is any noise at all in the room. Huge size, it felt like I had earmuffs on.

I would not buy this or anything from this company ever again. I have 3 of these horrible headphones. Two were gifts for others, one for myself. The "gifts" were returned to me for not working at all. Being that I saw how horrible my own was at that time, I just bought sets from another company to replace gift rather than return it and get another defective one. So, out of 3 headphones from this company, I get about 1 hour listening a day. If I am really lucky, 1 of the 3 works at all. If I do get sound, it cuts in and out..or may go out for hours. One never knows. It is not my laptop. I have tried on another laptop in home and 2 were returned to me for being "defective" gifts...not near my home.My suggestion, invest in good set of headphones...not from Plantronics. By the way, the headphones dropped in price since I bought them (wonder why). Recycle bins have been busy.

Sound quality: I'm not an audio freak or anything so as long as I hear something, it's good. I can't say anything about highs or lows but I hear everything I need to in games and music sounds fine with them.Microphone: I've only used the microphone once but it seemed to work well. It can be extended a bit but I wouldn't trust doing so extensively.Comfort: At first, they weren't the most comfortable things. The extenders are quite useful to fit many size heads. After a few weeks of use, they became quite comfortable. Just wear them in for a little bit and they'll feel fine.Miscellaneous: The foam is a magnet for hair and makes me feel like I'm shedding way too much of it. The connectors are close together which may be a problem. It fit fine in my sound card (Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium).Pros: Great headset for a very great price. Cord feels secure and the volume control looks sturdy. Filters out external noise to keep you immersed in the game.Cons: The cord length is only 6 feet long, so unless your computer is close to you or on the left side of the desk, you may have trouble with it. Filters out external noise so it makes it a bit harder to hear if someone calls for you.

I was disappointed because I bought these for my husband's birthday. I typed "x box 360 headset" into the search and these came up. Everyone had such great reviews I thought wonderful!! When I received them, they said PC compatible and they do not fit in the x box 360. They are useless to me now. My husband and I are both in Afghanistan, so it is too much of a pain to return them. I don't know if they have converters, but I wasn't expecting to need one.

at first it is EXTREMELY comfortable, although over time, the pads sort of sink on with major cushion, but the only problem is the speaker part eventually presses against your ear and its a hard plastic piece which starts hurting after a while. the sound is okay. kinda low volume and almost no bass. the inline controller, the mute button broke but the volume works fine. mic is great. picks up voices just fine. feel kind of cheap. for the money, dont get me wrong, great headset. but if you want quality, look elsewere

I bought this headset for use in my tent here in Afghanistan so the sound of my XBOX wouldnt bother other people. These headphones DO NOT have a USB, just a headset and microphone plug in. I am lucky my T.V. has a headset jack. I have not used the microphone portion of this headset but the sound is good and I can still hear whats going on around me. I am writing this review so no one else makes the mistake of buying these for use with a gaming console. Buy them for the PC.

If you have a big fat head like me then don't buy this headset.The good:1. Looks nice2. Hidden fold up microphone is handyThe bad:1. Very uncomfortable. This headset is not flexible. It takes a good pound or two of force to pull the sides apart. This results in the headset clamping your head. Although the whole thing is adjustable, there is no position where it feels good.When I started this review I thought I'd leave 3 stars since it works and the price wasn't too much. But I actually had to take the headset off while writing this as it's giving me a headache now. So 1 star for you.2. Not much bass.3. Plantronics headsets used to come with a 9 foot cord, but now the cords are 6 feet. This might be an issue if you want to plug it into the back of your PC that's under the desk. So their company saved 3 cents.4. For some reason the volume doesn't start at zero. Not a huge issue, but it bothers me that if you turn the volume all the way down you can still hear audio. No idea why they did this.Other:1. Didn't check the audio quality of the mic2. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the volume control is a dial. It looked like some kind of button to me before I ordered. The thing that looks like a rectangular button is a switch to mute the mic. This whole control seems larger than it needs to be, but it just hangs there on the cord so it's not a big deal.

Sounds decent, and I'm coming from Sennheiser headphones. Alright bass response, nothing spectacular. I'm not sure if it's just me or it is the headset, but after wearing it for a few hours I start to get a pain on my ears. It's because the speaker inside is pressing against my ears the entire time (there's not enough padding). On the bright side, the microphone sounds fantastic. Worth the money, I think.

Seller delivered in a timely manner. Package arrived in Kuwait via USPS in good shape. Headphones are ok. Not sure had I seen them in a store that I would have purchased them as I did online. Of course I also own a pair of Bose headphones.

They may not be great, but they're only $20 right now. No matter how great the phones are, the weak link in these always seems to be the connecting wire and how it handles the strain. I just replaced an acceptable set of phones (not Plantronics) because the wire frayed at the volume switch and I couldn't use them any longer.I have used these almost daily for the last 6 weeks for gaming and Skype and they work fine. The sound is good; the mic picks up fine and clearly. While the volume switch does adjust the sound a bit, it does not go all the way to zero. The plugs are actually a little flattened at the finger grips which actually helps you hold on to them when inserting or removing them from PC jacks. If this headset was worn out, I'd get the same ones again and be happy.

This headset is ridiculously perfect, I bought two, one for backup of course. Headset takes a couple hours to break in since its been clamped together in that huge package. Anyway, In-line voice control makes it quite convenient to have and the mute/un-mute button can be seen right underneath/above it (Depends what way your looking at the voice control, usually if your looking it the right way it should be below the volume controls). The cables are quite durable, ran over them with my chair a few times and there has been nothing wrong with it. The mic slides up and down making it quite convenient if you feel like eating then just put the mic back up, the mic also extends outwards so you might need to give it a little pull since it doesn't directly go in front of your mouth. The black and red look nice together, engraved gamecon word (all caps) on both sides of the headset where you can extend the headset to your length of your head. The cushioning is quite comfy once the clamped-like feeling of the headset is broken and the cushioning covers the top of your head and the cushioning also goes around your ears, to create that Closed-Ear gaming effect. Mic response is nice, no static when I talk over vent or anything like that. The bass on this headset is good enough to satisfy anyone but it does lack bass so using speakers for your music would be more enjoyable. This headset can get quite loud enough to a point where I think my Logitech speakers are on (Of course not on full blast). The Closed Ear gaming effect is as the name states, you can hear footsteps from people moving, shooting, pulling grenades, hearing the grenades bounce, everything, perfect for gamers that utilize the sound effects of fps' and other games, you can also block out any annoyances that may be happening around your household with music. Nothing wrong with either of my headsets, work fine, ones backup if the other mic just starts to fail or die out, either way its a great headset and worth buying, did I mention it's NOT a USB port and takes up two spots but that doesn't really bother me. Overall its a 5/5 and I'll keep buying this headset if the backup and this one dies out OR if Plantronics somehow makes an even better headset. I suggest not wearing these in public, you'd look like an alien, pretty huge headset. Anyway, overall its a good headset and should suit any gamer. Again...5/5 :D.

I have a lot of friends with the Turtle Beach headsets for Xbox 360 and I was quite proud to find these headphones for less than half the price with very similar usefulness. These headphones were great for my set-up, just plug the green speaker cable into my monitor and using a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter plug the microphone jack into my controller. Boom, ready to roll. No RCA cables, no usb power cable, no heavy dongles with extra wires coming out.However, that's about when the honeymoon ended. These headphones are bulky. I have a pretty small head, so maybe it's just me, but I agree with other reviewers in saying it's like wearing tin cans on my head. The sound was decent, especially for $25.After about 2-months of moderate use, the left ear-cup went out. I have no clue how this came about as I never dropped it or mishandled it. Playing deaf in one ear is unacceptable, so these are going in the trash and I went out and bought some Sharkoons--which are quite nice so far, though lots more cables :( .

I am using this device to write this review. At the same time I'm listening to Pandora and a fair volume.my concerns when it arrived:1. they're really big, are they going to be cumbersome and heavy?2. the Mic. seems fairly far away from my mouth, I have enough problems with voice recognition as it is.what I found as soon as I started using it:1. they're extremely comfortable.2. A. fully cover my ears and block out extraneous noise.3. except for some really high notes, the sound is great.4. I've never had a microphone worked this well. It doesn't picked up any noise from the headphones, or from the surrounding environment, and is far enough from my mouth not to pick up breathing noises. At the same time it picks up my voice perfectly.(update: Mic stopped working well after the first month or so)oh, also they are big, but not cumbersome and not heavy. Your ears will get hot.(The only cheating I did involved typing the numbers in changing Mike to mic.)

About three months ago, I got my first time ever gaming laptop! I was tempted to pay over $100 on a gaming headset worthy of my new laptop (over $3,000 worth) but after having looking and looking, I decided to give these a try. To make this quick... they are INSANELY comfortable, have a way better than average sound quality and great microphone quality! The sound could be better, but this is the best there is at this price range and perhaps all the way up to the $100-$150 price tags. The concealed microphone and style is quite neat, even if they DO look gigantic it's worth looking slightly funny while wearing these giants. It's been three months, almost four of intense gaming and music usage and they are still rocking like if it was the first day. Dropped them a couple of times.... hard. Durability seems to be incredible.They are worth 5 stars in my opinion.

They work fine, but are uncomfortable. The size fits my adult head but the ear pads weren't soft enough or big enough so they are always pressing against my ears. I can only wear these for a short while. I came from Logitech headset and choose this brand because it has a better microphone. Looks like I made a mistake. So sad =(

I keep the headset around my neck listing to music an still hear it and when i have then on my ears the sound is great bass also that i cant hear when they calling for me.

I went looking for a headset after my last ones mic went. I purchased these because I wanted a bigger speaker and something that wasnt directly pressing on my ear all the time. I didnt think that it was the same manufacturer as the last set.ComfortI can play for HOURS without any real discomfort. My ears get warm but thats fine.Sound qualityIs pretty good. I was surprised they sounded so good. The mic sounds fine too, never had any complaints about how I sounded. The boom is flexible and you can put it right where you want it and it rotates to slide up and out of the way.LooksThey look alright until you put them on. The top hoop goes way out to the sides. Then again who cares what they look like? Just letting buyers know you will look sillyConstructionThe boom movement feature and inline mute and volume controls are nice, but after only 2 months the left speaker gave a gasp (crackle) and ceased working. It was annoying but I dealt with it for a day then the right one got VERY soft. I cranked up onboard volume, pc volume, and game volume and could barely make out the sounds. Then the next day it went altogether. I made do by wearing this set around my neck and positioning the mic near my mouth and the old set of Plantronics on my head with the mic out of the way so I could talk and hear until the session was over. Now I get to go look for another headset.Be warned buyers. I might have thought Id gotten a lemon, its possible with anything you buy, but for two headsets dying within 6 months. You get what you pay for/

I bought these about a year ago and, I have been very satisfied with this headset. First of all, it is extremely comfy, and I can use this all day without feeling any discomfort. It can get a bit hot, but I love the cushons. Sound quality is good, and mic quality is great as well. I record a lot of my own videos and sounds very clear. I skype a lot while gaming and my mic produces clear sounds perfectly. Noise reduction is awesome, stops all the fuzzy sounds and makes your voice come out very clear.After a year or so it still works, but unfortunately a few days ago I seem to have damaged it by opening it too wide and I heard a crack. The microphone is somewhat not working at certain angles. It kind of just happened during an important game and I was very upset. But overall great buy, I might actually buy another one right now

I like the product overalll. Both the mic and headphones produce high quality sound. When you put these things on, you can't hear hardly anything outside. The product seems to be made of durable materials. The only downside (which is a big downside to me) is that they do clamp down on your head pretty hard. No matter how I adjust these things, they are tight on the sides of your head.

SOUND QUALITYHonestly, not the best headphones I've had. Not even close really. As a few reviewers have already stated, the bass response is awful. These are the type of headphones where if you've owned a really good pair of headphones before and then put these on, you'll know the sound is off and it'll make you go crazy. Not a good pair of headphones at all if you're OCD about sound quality.COMFORTThey're a little tight on the head vs. other headphones I've owned, but i don't find them uncomfortable at all. I actually like how tight they are. They're lightweight and you barely notice that you have them on after a short while. The mic is a little short for my tastes, but i don't mind it as much. I really like the feel of these. The fuzzy velour around the ear pieces are really soft and comfortable when wearing. 4 stars here for sure.OVERALLMost gamers want/need good sound quality when looking for headphones, and honestly these aren't that good. I played a round of Bad Company 2 with these, and the sound quality was awful vs. a pair of Razer's that i owned previously (which suddenly went bad after a year).If you're more forgiving when it comes to sound quality, then these are good budget gaming headphones for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

This headset has worked really well for me. The microphone works very well with little distortion and the audio quality is better than any other headset I've owned. It fits well on my head and the padding makes it very comfortable to wear over long gaming sessions. The only small problem I've had is sometimes the padding can make it a little too warm on the ear causing me to sweat.

I bought these about nine months ago on sale for only $25. They really are a good deal.They are comfortable in my opinion but I have owned better ones. 4/5The sound from the headphones are good quality but not amazing. 4/5The micro phone worked well for me in Skype and during gaming. 4/5One bit of advice. The cord is a strong cord from the ear piece on down to the splitter for the mic and headphone connectors......but it ends there. The cords on the connections are very thin and weak which makes the strong part of the cord pointless.I just broke mine due to tripping on cord and I really didn't tug that hard on it. The cord design is a joke. Durability 2/5 (without this flaw i would have said 5/5)In the end I'm not saying buying this is a bad idea because the price is decent at around $25 for good head phones, but I'm not buying another because I'm nothappy with the cord flaw. Overall 3/5

This is the best headset I've owned. It's been dropped a few times, cats, kids, and still fine. It's comfortable all around, the cords are a good length so you don't feel stuck to the computer or like you have to hide 40 extra feet of cord.

This will be my second set as most people do not use these headsets as much as I do. As a daily internet broadcaster/podcaster the sound quality is equal to that of $200 sets for far less cost. Buy them or similar models while you can still get them because they work great and handle the beating well. Shipper was awesome also, well packed and shipped promptly.

Hello,The quality is excellent to play games, but not for listen music.The quality of the components is not bad.They haven't good bass, but treble is good. For competitive play game with COD or BF will help you hear better what is happening around with more accuracy.They aren't 100% comfortable, exert pressure on the head, but will be fully covered your hears and good noise cancellation.I hope that can help you ;)

It's a cheap headset so you can't have high expectations but the quality of the sound in this headset is significantly degraded form what comes out of my speakers. I am not an audiophile and normally can't notice much about different speakers but in this case it is very noticeable. If you care about sound quality these are not for you.If you position the ear cups correctly they don't hurt after a couple of hours other wise they do.I seem to destroy headphones on a semi annual basis so spending big $ on them is out of the question. I won't feel bad when this set goes. I got decent value for what I spent.

As a gamer, I need to hear the footsteps of opponents or to just enjoy a fuller immersive experience when gaming.Here are my experiences:- Strong lows and highs and a mid range volume. At every volume level, sound and bass is clear and crisp.- The padding in the ear and top of the headset are very comfortable. There padding is soft and sits well on the head and ears.- They can be used for your mp3 player. They sound great on my Itouch. Again, bass is very crisp and clear. Love it!- The headset is designed very nicely. You can pull it out and place back against the headset and effectively put it away when not using it.- You may want to pay an extra $20 for the updated 555 Gamecome version if you like. There is a difference in sound quality.In any case, great product for $25. Must buy for casual to serious gamers!

I bought this item for an online distance learning course that required a headset.I returned it for a replacement because the microphone didn't work. The microphone on the replacement didn't work either. I tried toggling the mute switch and tried to the headset on three separate computers (2 Mac and 1 PC) - none of the computers could detect any sound from the microphone regardless of which way the mute switch was switched. I am now returning the second one for a refund because I am convinced that there is a manufacturing problem.It's a shame that the product didn't work because the headset felt pretty comfortable (though I didn't try it for a long period of time) and the headphones sounded decent (nothing too great, but for an item like this definitely acceptable).Fortunately, Amazon.com has been great with the returns. I would just avoid this product to be safe and buy a headset from a different manufacturer.

I use the headset for making Voice Over IP calls from my computer. The audio quality is very good and people hearing me on the other end, comment on the clarity of the microphone.The headset is a bit on the heavy/bulky side and the ear cushions are a bit too firm. The mike boom can rotate up and down but does not adjust in or out from the face.For the price, this is a good value.

These headphones, for the price are phenomenal. I use them while playing StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, and for skype calls. My friends all agree, that these are great mostly due to them being unable to hear my typing anymore, and for the fact that I am still clearly heard. The comfort is great too. They are tight enough to not move while I'm moving around my room or living room table, and at the same time, they are loose enough for my glasses that I wear while I play SC2.The sound quality is great as well; rich heavy basses, and pure, clear highs. I cannot recommend these highly enough. ----EDIT: PLEASE READ----So, after about half a year of usage, I discovered something rather crappy; the microphone had broken without me ever realizing it. This led to a long, and tiresome time figuring out what had broken. But after cleaning the contact points, having the motherboard replaced on my computer (it's a laptop), and finally fooling around with my connections, I am not too happy that these broke so quickly.

I bought this item (Plantronic Multimedia Stereo Headset .Audio355) to use while skype-ing on my MacBook Pro. Made a log distance call using Skype and talked for 30 minutes. It worked great. I could hear the other party loud and clear. There is a switch to adjust volume and another switch to mute if necessary. The headphones fit comfortably--there is a foam cushion where the phone rest on your ears. The party I called said they could hear me clearly. I spoke at a volume I would use if I were speaking to another individual in the same room. The boom on which the microphone is attached is adjustable. The cost was very reasonable (about $30 at BestBuy--I didn't have time to order from Amazon as I am leaving the country tomorrow). The only down side is that the headsets are bulky and take more room than some of the wireless in-the-ear headsets, and the item was packaged in a hard plastic container and I cut my finger trying to open it. Although the packaging says compatible with Windows, it is compatible with any laptop that has 3.5mm speaker and microphone ports, which all Apple laptops have. Highly recommended.

Okay so... I read all the comments about this headset before I purchased it; and I was a little leary. BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING MISTER or MISSES or YOU GENDER NEUTRAL PERSON!THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF HARDWARE!I have used it for 4 hour gaming sessions and watching movies.It is quite comfortable on the large noggin and the sound quality is great.This is my first part of Closed-Ear headphone and let me tell you something. When the kids come a cryin' or the wife wants to talk about the neglected state of the kitchen, i have to remove them to hear the conversation over the sniper bullets wizzing by my head... ORRRR I just continue to lay down covering fire as if I can't hear anything.The mic works great. Love how it stows away for non-chat games or movie.Very comfortable... OH OH OH... the head phone are not your typical plasto-leatherly feeling material. They are more like a soft felt. So there is no temperature discomfort for prolonged use. No sticking to your skin or sweating.The cord is nice and heavy so it feels pretty durable.The only thing that may feel cheap to you is the volume wheel, but it does its job. I rarely adjust the volume from there since I have volume control on the keyboard.So my only gripe is... errr... ahhh... that I'm not getting PAID to write this review.BUY THE DARN THING ALREADY!!!
