This headset has lasted me well over a year and is still the best headset I've ever used. I play a lot of Counter-Strike, and this gives me the edge I need in Competitive matches, letting me hear footsteps and gunshots with surprising accuracy. They tend to have a lot of bleed-through, so they're better for an environment where people aren't going to hear what you're doing.

The sound is great, and the headset is very comfortable. I expect I'll be sticking with this brand of headset for a long time with my long use patterns.The microphone does have some noise, but it's easily filtered out by Skype and similar programs.

I bought these for my son and he had this to say about them: "I was looking for something that covered my ears, and not just bashed them in. These fit perfectly over my ears and provide great comfort while gaming. I haven't heard for myself how good the sound quality is from the mic, but I've been told that it sounds good over skype from my gamer friends. I can't find anything bad about them, except for the fact that the packaging took ages to cut through!"

Amazing price for the quality you receive, has a very sturdy feel and a cushioned headband. The mic quality isn't amazing but for chatting on any voIP it should be fine. Overall it's a great headset with a great price for what you get.

These had some great reviews. I needed a simple, yet good quality pair. They do drown out some of the noise, while still letting me hear what is going on around me. So far the (exposed) wires and metal are holding up to excessive use.

I do not use these for gaming, nor have I used microphone. They are well made, but seem to squeeze my head with long term wearing. I would buy again because sound is great! I listened to a you-tube video the other day and kept hearing a car in background - I kept thinking I was hearing a car outside my house and it was the video. Pretty impressive.

I have a really big head and they hurt my ears. I sat on them and the piece connecting the left speaker to the headband broke. i ducktaped it back together bandits actually more comfortable now. the sound quality is great and all the buttons work.

I returned my turtle beaches for these headset. Because, for the price, nothing that I know of can rival the quality and benefits of the gamecom 780. These offer 7.1 DD which most competitors offer stereo for the price range it's in. Also extremely comfortable.

I bought these right before our last LAN War because I needed a second set for my son. We have both spent a lot of time using this headset since, and I am simply delighted with the performance. When you consider the price I think this is just an amazing deal. It's easy to setup and the software is great. I can't believe how good the surround sound works.Pros:--- Comfortable. I purchase this Headset along with $10 C-Media sound card. It sound great on the C-Media but I don't know why when I insert directly in my onboard sound card, it sound terrible. But my front Audio jack produces better sound quality but not as good as this [...]. So I am guessing this is an average quality head set. I was expecting wonder when I read other review but this doesn't sound as good as my skull candy $40 headset. But for $25 it worth it. One issue I have with this headset is the mic, I don't think this is a noise cancelling device. It cannot cancel simple hissing noise in the background, and when I tapped on my desk, the mic picked that up clearly. I am not a heavy gamer who plays first person shooter, but for real time stagey game like StarCraft 2 and Company of Hearos, this is good enough. Music sound crisp and movie sound good too.4 starts because its costs $25. Had I paid more than that, I would have downgraded further to 3 or 2.Update May 2011:I broke this headset after nearly one year of heavy usage. The plastic bar near the left ear cup snapped just as I put it on my head. However, everything still working on the headset, the mic and the headset. If I am any cheaper, I would have duck-taped them and continue using them. But I am not that cheap so I started looking for a bit more expensive replacement. I look into a product in the price range of $50 to $100. There were a lot of great reviews for creative lab fatal1ty series headset but one consent complain I read was that it is uncomfortable after long hours of usage. I watch a lot of video on my PC and play games. I occasionally use VOIP with this headset and there is not a single problem at all. I am on my headset at least 2 hours a day after work and sometime I wore them for five to six hours straight up. So fatal1ty is out of question for me because my skin can easily get irritated. On the top of that, I wear glasses, and with this Plantronics Gamecom 367, I don't feel a thing. I can wear them together for long hours without getting any irritation on my ears. Then, I started looking for Creative lab Sigma series, and Plantornics GameCom 777 (367 older brother), I was just one click away from buying the Sigma but I wasn't too sure of how it will react on my head. I want to be comfortable when I wear them. So I decided to stick to the devil I know, so I was gonna buy Plantronics GameCom 777 but I remember that I already got a studio audio adapter and I can barely hear anything (my family complains that I never hear anything once I wear these headset), so if I upgrade to 777, it gonna be worse. So after giving much thought on my upgrade, I decided to stick with this 367 because when you pair them with a usb studio audio adapter like this one ([...]), you got a pretty decent head set for less than $30. Beside, I need a headset with mic for some VOIP session this weekend and I haven't finish my research yet.I am sticking with this Plantronics GameCom 367 for sometime until I am ready to jump ship. For $25, this is a great deal and best bang for your bucks, If I could, I would have change my Four Star rating to Five because after breaking one up and start looking for a replacement, I realized how hard it is to get a balance product. Unless, you are an audiophile, get this headset along with a USB digital adapter and you would not believe the sound and comfort level you are getting.

Sounds quality is exceptional...and the comfort is very good. I have big ears and a large noggin...was concerned that the earpieces might smash my ears but it isn't really that bad at all. The fabric and padding make it very comfortable.

After giving up on the fragile Plantronics 770 (broke three) I went without for a while. I saw the new design of the 780 which looked more robust.The sound is very good but the headset is a bit tight and squeezes my head and will give me a headache. If I straddle it over my computer it stretches it out and feels fine then. Perhaps I have an enormous noggin but I have never had this problem before.Overall I am happy with the Plantronics 780 once I broke them in.

I had a pair of these for about 3 or 4 years, they finally died on me and I don't know what to do without them. they are by far the most comfortable pair of headphones i have ever owned. The microphone was nice and hidden when I didn't want it to be used. The sound quality was amazing; VERY loud as well they're currently being used as speakers.The only part I didn't care for was they connector to the size slider on each ear was a tad flimsy, that was what finally broke for me. i'm thinking about getting out the ducktape and patching it till i find another pair that is as good

I have had this product for .... years... I do not remember when I purchased it actually. It is the ONLY product I have ever seen that I never adjust anything aside from playback volume. The microphone is always perfect. I spend a lot of time frying my brain in multi player games. EVERYONE is always having adjust their microphones, CONSTANTLY. They own 200-400 dollars worth of headsets and mics, all of them suck. Yes, suck. Why? Well, I am sure the bass is enormous and clear and it sounds like a concert hall. That is great, however, that is terrible to ever understand someone talking to you in some thick southern accent or worse, someone from overseas. This headset pounds puppies. Now, I wouldnt say it was great for movies. A Klipsch 2.1 promedia setup is what I use, other than that, you would have to spend 150+ for good headsets.This is meant for:SkypeMulti-player team based gamesCompatible with:Windows XP SP1,2,3 - no drivers needed, plug in and fiddle with xp crap for a few minutes(there is software for it, but it is not very necessary)Windows 7 64 bit - no drivers needed, plug in, choose mic input and audio output PlantronicsIt really cannot be beat. Plantronics makes super high quality gear, and their analog to digital is what the specialize in for many years. It doesnt matter how good the mic is, or the speakers or whatever. You would need a high quality, real microphone and pro-sumer end audio card for your pc with very good cables to beat this DSP setup. The price is insanely low.Cons: Bass is not deep, but all is clear. human voice comes through like a laser beam, but on both receiving and sending. You do not have a phone in your house, hooked up to a landline, that sounds 1/20th the clarity and life-like-ness of this sucker. I duno why I decided to review it today. :)

Love these so far. Only issue is the default volume seems kind of high with little variation in the adjustments. Also, sometimes I wish I hadn't gone for the USB headphones since it's nice to have the versatility with the regular audio jack. That has nothing to do with the quality of the sound, of course. They're very comfortable and sound great. Highly recommended.

Fairly short and sweet. My Plantronics GameCon 780 Surround Sound Stereo PC Gaming Headset arrived right on time and installed with not a single glitch whatsoever. AND it took only a minute or two to install. I have MS Windows Ultimate and the drivers loaded without any problems - they were instantly recognized. The headphone's website updated them effortlessly.I primarily play Guild Wars (MMO) and talk using TeamSpeak 3.5. Once again, everything was instantly recognized and there were no issues at all.The headset is rock solid and very sturdy - which is why I replaced my previous headset, which broke.My music is utterly amazing - excellent sound quality! My game and any videos are haunting... you hear things you never knew were there before. Plus, the surround quality and excellent speakers make it sound like things are all around you. Subtle sounds like walking on grass, rocks, or wood stand out now. Growls behind you, birds overhead, etc. - this headset offers amazing immersion! Several times I involuntarily looked behind me or around the room thinking someone was right there next to me.I can't recommend these highly enough. By default, the sturdy mic was perfectly tuned and sensitive enough with no breathing interference.I'd almost give it six stars if I could. Buy it - you won't be disappointed.

This headset was purchased less than 8 months ago and the plastic headband has snapped. It is used by a responsible adult who does not treat them harshly. I think the design is flawed and would not recommend them to anyone.

Bought this on black Friday weekend sales, mainly for the discount. These headphones absolutely blew my mind! The 7.1 surround sound is so realistic and really does immerse you into the sound. The bass is obvious when its supposed to be. I bought these for the microphone but I love the sound, I just played 6 hours of War Z with a pal and talking with these to the sound was flawless. The reason I mentioned 6 hours of playing with these was because they were and are still comfortable, they don't get irritating like most headsets.

I like the quality of the construction and sound, but the microphone picks up all the room noise coming from the computer fans and the TV while talking on the phone or gaming chatter. I definitely would not recommend this product if you plan on doing a podcast.

Pros: These headphones are great, they are really comfortable because they have a cushioned inside (where the ear pieces touch your head) and it is very comfortable. The bass was awesome and everything sounded greatCons: The cushions may be a problem with wet hair or if I sweat but I will have to see about that. They are really big as well so I look funny while playing games, but that's not really too bad.Other Thoughts: These are great and you can't beat the price

The sound is okay but not spectacular. The mic is sensitive to noise. Everything works well. You have to finagle the software for it to work in Win 8. It is sturdy and ear cushions are replaceable/washable

I've had this headset for almost Half a year with no problems. The software on the disc never worked but I didn't care, it was fine plug n play style. Now however I can't use the mic at all, and unplugging it to listen to music via the speakers is causing all sorts of issues.If I could find a fix for this I'll be good to go, but honestly Gamecom let the ball drop on that.

I bought these in hopes of great sound and they delivered. However about a month after i started to use them the speakers blew. I use them once or twice a weak for gaming and I was very disappointing to find them blow after a month of use.

Definitely worth the money. Got this for my audiophile/gamer boyfriend for Christmas. He spent hours just listening to all his favorite music again because of how different, deeper, and richer the surround sound made it seem. Microphone is clear when we've used it over Mumble.

This is an amazing set of headphones! Don't look any further than this, I spent some time looking for headphones and to be honest there is no way you can beat the value for the price range. Great bass, great sound and the fact that you can switch from surround to vocal on the fly is awsome. Love them.Its a must buy.

I wrote a review about the open ear set, but as far as closed ear, it's better for someone without a huge head, such as a woman's. It's very very comfortable, lots of padding, so even when it loosens over time, there is no discomfort even after hours of use, which is my daily routine. Really good buy for the price. The wire attaching it is sturdy. This was a lot better than ones I've bought for $80. Recommended A+ !
