This has been a great headset for the price. The material around the ear doesn't seem to sweat much even after 6 hours of using it, doesn't pinch your head too tightly, and has great sound performance. The long cord is nice for larger setups, and there is an intuitive set of controls on the left side. Subtle blue lights indicate the controls without creating much protrusive ambiance, so does not distract.I would recommend these as great performing within it's price range.

When I turn on "Dolby enabled" (from the software provided) it sounds like I'm listening through tin cans. When its off it sounds alright, like normal over-the-ear headphones (not 7.1). They are uncomfortable compared to other over-the-ear headphones. The microphone is good. Buy these if they are $50 or under, otherwise look elsewhere.

Great mic and sound, but I found it really uncomfortable to wear over longer periods (half an hour or more). The earmuffs (or whatever they are called) can be quite hot, and drag on the ears

This is one of many Gaming Headsets I ever own, they are great for the price, very comfortable, good above average sound. I've purchased this back in September of 2010, and by far this is the most durable headset I ever own, I stopped buying expensive headsets that will go bad in 2 months and I was looking for durability, this is the one to go! The cable has a special cover so it is very well protected for you to step on it.Overall very good product for the price, specially that by that time they were at $24.Pros:Above average soundComfortableLong cable and thick.Very useful volume and mic controlCons:None so far.

First off, the sound quality is amazing in both stereo mode and D 7.1. It is crisp and clear and there are no complaints on that front. My only issue with it, is that the microphone picks up the sound from the headset itself, even when on about 50-70% volume. This irks the people I'm talking to on mumble, and I have to turn both my speakers and microphone down to adjust. Other than that, the mic is amazing. It is clear and very clean. Just that one issue is all I have with this headset. 4/5 would recommend.

Product arrived ahead of expected delivery date---yippee!!! Was in excellent condition. We purchased 2 of the Plantronics Audio 355 Multimedia Headsets for only a little over $13 per set---it was $13 & change. For such an inexpensive headset the are great looking, extremely comfortable, the sound could be a little richer, so I would go with the previous reviewers suggestion of using an inexpensive pc/amp. They are pretty much just plug-n-play--prefect the tech challenged person like myself. When we are more flush for cash our family will opt for a Plantronics upgrade!!! Love the ear cushions, the headset is size adjustable, and the microphone is in a nice sturdy drop down bar. So, in a nut shell---the headset is uber comfy,(so comfy I forget that I have them on!!!) you can't beat the price with a stick, & they work great for gaming.The only drawback I have found with this headset is that the cord could be longer. Otherwise no complaints here.

Bass could hit a slight bit harder, but it's not bad at all2. Ear cups could be a little larger, but I think I have big ears3. Cable could be a few feet longer4. Headband like AD-700 or Razer Barracuda would make these the ultimate headphoneDon't judge a headphone by it's cover or price. I have been modding headphones for about 2 years now and these are just stunning for their price range. I am just amazed at how they can offer them this cheap. Pick them up now.

This headset is actually pretty darn good for the price. 7.1 virtual surround, comfy, foldable, and adjustable. It also is very rugged and feels like it'd last me a while. However, it IS USB so if you're looking for a great analog gaming headset, try the Razer Electra. Sound quality is top notch on both headsets (I think Razers sound a bit better due to my sound card though).

The sound on this headsets are pretty good. I have been using them for 3 years, I bought them for less than 30$ but unfortunately they broke, first the Mic, now its the earpiece.They did great for 3 years of hard using and falls from my desk.

I had the earlier incarnation of this headset. It was great but do to the shape and make of them being plastic if you had a bigger head they would crack. but they up date using metal and making them wider worked. They are indeed great. The cord is long and very durable, mine still has kinks in it from being packaged. Having the controls on the headset is actually a lot nicer than i thought it would be. It is a lot easier to reach for them up there while gaming than scramble for the hot keys on a key board to. The surround sound really works, it is actually creepy at first how well it works. It has saved my life in ME3 multiple times. If you are looking for a good investment piece i would highly suggest these.

I've been using these for a little over a week, using them for after the wife has gone to bed and I'm playing WoW. They've been comfortable and the sound response is very good. The only thing I'm not too happy with is the actual volume control. Instead of a typical dial, there's a button that you push up or down. It doesn't stick out too much and is slick so it's not too easy to change. But, that is nit-picking. It's an excellent headset and a reasonable price.

Whenever I got this product I thought it would be wireless. Needless to say, I was a bit upset, but it was my own fault. Aside from that, the cord on the mike can reach to where I sit, and even though I may have to tilt my head a bit, it gets the job done. It feels really comfy when you wear it, and there have been no problems with how it works. The mike is pretty sensitive, but to me that means it's a good mike. I've owned a few headphones over the years, and I'd say this one was worth it.

wow! not only are they great, but the package ARRIVED two days before it was even supposed to come at it's earliest!NEWER: Its 2/13/13 and I first reviewed them on June 10,'12.Although they feel Really light ( the way cheap ones would), they have VERY sturdy construction and there has not been a single problem with them. They come with a disc to help you quickly install good software. (Dolby audio: music mode, movie mode/gaming mode,) and they sound great when I play games like TF2 and Left For Dead 2. I can wear them for hours, and they never feel painful or uncomfortable. They give plenty of space around your ears, and the padding does NOT degrade, rip, fall apart or get dents. The cable is also reinforced, and been through a lot w/ out any damage. Also, the mic is CRYSTAL CLEAR when I have tested it, and I love a good mic.For this price, (and so many features) it is probably the best set of headphones you can buy. the sound quality is about as good as my Bose QC 15's minus the noise cancellation. totally worth it.

I bought the Plantronics .Audio 355 Multimedia Headset because I take classes online and need a headset. After only a semester, this headset stop working. I could still hear through the headset speakers, but the microphone stopped working. It started with distortion and crackling and then went out altogether. I then bought another Plantronic headset Plantronics .Audio 326 Stereo PC Headset May 2011, now just a few short days of being able to return the product; this one has done the exact same thing. The headset speakers continue to work, but the sound from the microphone is distorted and barely recognizable. I am not happy - to say the least! Of course the warranty has expired (it is only for one year) which seems to be around the time that these products give out. Now once again I have to buy another headset. I will have gone through 3 headsets before I graduate from this online program - I am not happy about that at all - if paying for school wasn't already enough - I now have to spend money unnecessarily.

I've had these headsets for about two years now. They are very durable and I believe they last very long. The mic output is pretty decent; not the best obviously. I recommend these to anyone that is looking for a cheap gaming headset. Before these I was using cheap $15 logitech headsets that broke on me every month or so. Once I got these I basically never went to any other pc headset.THe cable is pretty thick. I don't know how many times I broke my logitech headsets because my chair ran over the wire. For this headset though the wires are very thick and if you do happen to run over it with your chair(like I do) it won't damage it. There are only a couple things I don't like about it. I don't know why but for some reason one of my cups collects A LOT of lint and the cup looks like completely white and the other cup is black and is like what the other one is suppose to look like. The other thing I don't like about it is that when someone is near you and you're like listening to music through it or something, that person can hear everything because there's no noise isolation. It's not too much of a problem though unless you don't like other people listening to your stuff. The cups are decently comfortable. They aren't the best but after like a couple hours it gets kind of annoying. Other than that though I've used these for two years so the complaints I have for this are incomparable to the duarbility of this thing. It's been the best headset I've had so for, but sadly I don't pc game as much so I'm going to get a ps3 and pc compatible headset soon that will probably replace this D: I will still keep it as a back up though!

I bought these to replace a Turtle Beach X12 gaming headset. The difference in sound quality is like night and day. The virtual 7.1 surround sound is amazing and even makes Minecraft sound like a top shelf game. The friends in my Teamspeak channel were also all pretty excited because now I don't sound like I'm talking out of a tin can in thier words. Highly recommend this product.

I couldn't be happier with these headphones. The microphone is bright and clear, and the surround sound on these is astounding. They took a little getting used to as the Dolby mode can sound "echo-y", but once you get used to them you don't notice it anymore. They sound so good that my surround sound speakers now sound dull, so all I use now is these headphones lol

This headset is extremely good when taking into account the price.It is not noise cancelling, but does cut out a fair amount of surrounding noise.The product is '7.1 dolby enabled'. I have turned it on but haven't really done a comparison about whether there is a truly noticeable difference.The mic is excellent and pick me up clearly even if I have the mic in the 'rest' position (pointing up not at the mouth).I like the 'demo' sound when you adjust the volume. Higher pips for volume up and lower pips for volume down. You are not going to accidentally deafen yourself!This is not a very compact headset so don't expect it to be. It does fold somewhat flatter so if you lay it on the table someone can't come and squash them unless a lot of weight or a lot of effort is involved.Seems quite durable. Good quality. Good brand. I would buy again.

Bought this product to replace some Sennheisers that worked less than a year. I use the headset for a computer language course. Because I spent most of my working years around things that went boom and made other loud noises my hearing has been reduced at certain frequency levels. I've used two other headsets for the course including Bose and Sennheiser and I am pleasantly amazed at the clarity I get from this headset. Also, I find the headset very comfortable much like the Bose.

These headphones are simply fantastic for gaming and watching movies. The simulated surround sound is a marvel to behold and makes you feel like you're immersed in a new world. I never realised what I was missing out on before and that's rather embarrassing considering I'm a DJ part-time.If you're looking for a great headset and don't want to break the bank look no further.As an aside, I haven't really tested the mic so this review is based purely on the sound quality.

Make sure to download a program that is put on an empty CD disc to help up-grade the performance of the headset-makes a big difference in headphone performance. After the program is installed, the headset performance is enhanced greatly and on par with much more expensive headsets! For the money, is a wothwhile investment for PC gamers.

These Headphones are amazing. I bought a pair of G35's before this and they were so uncomfortable, and the left ear speakers didn't work in stereo mode, so I sent them back. I read some reviews about these Plantronics GameCom 780's and Got them. I have had them for about a month and they are 95% perfect. awesome sound in both Stereo and Surround Sound modes. Amazingly comfortable. I play Minecraft for up to 3-4 hours sometimes and they never hurt my head ever. The only problem I had was the ear cups are a little small. (doesn't completely fit around my ear's. But I might just have big ears or something. Besides that these headphones are perfect. I would definitely recommend these.

Overall there great headphones for doing almost anything. The sound amazing for both music and gaming. The mic for mine at least was only decent and could be improved. Thy (at least for mine) had as static sound behind my voice which is only slightly heard. Other than that I love these headphones and recommend them.

These headphones are well built with very good sound quality for the price. Work perfectly for IP calls, Skype, gaming, and general music listening. The Dolby surround is a bit gimmicky. The USB cable is also pretty short. The fit is good on my head, and they don't squeeze or get uncomfortable even after wearing them for several hours.

This is a great headset. The ear-pads are extremely comfortable, and allow for long periods of wear. The sound quality is also very good, and the dolby 7.1 surround works very well. My only qualm about the headset is that it plays loud. I have the volume turned down to approximately 25-35% when gaming or listening to music via a headset, whereas I have volume at about 50% through my speakers.

Purchased these for Skype calling - haven't used them for audio or gaming. For Skype, the sound quality seems good - equivalent or better to cell phone anyway. Relatively comfortable to use for one-ear headset, and long cord is convenient for standing up / walking around while talking. They seem flimsy & breakable but have lasted being carried around in my briefcase for a few weeks. Would buy again.

These babies are super comfortable and the mic is fantastic. My left ear touches the speaker ever so slightly and begins to hurt after an hour or so, but I take it off for a few minutes and it feels better. If you have ears that stick more than normal (I consider my ears normal) then you might want to find another pair that goes deeper.

I bought this for my wife as she talks for at least an hour every night on her iPhone 4 to my daughter. I don't think it's a good idea to have any kind of device that transmits and/or receives a signal glued to your head for any period of time, this includes a Bluetooth head set. I wanted a hardwire rig that fits over the ears with a microphone (my wife would not wear the ear buds that came with the phone). All of these headsets advertised only talked about their gaming ability or once in a while, their audio quality on an iPod but not making calls. I wasn't sure if it would work on the phone. The price was good enough that I gambled. The headset has two 3.5 mm plugs, one for listening and one for the microphone. I was nervous when I saw this as the iPhone only has one jack. I inserted the audio plug to the phone while letting the mic plug just dangle. IT WORKED! You can put the phone in your pocket, listen through the head phone and talk into the mic, truly a hands free affair. I did need to use my Dremel to enlarge the hole in the iPhone case around the headphone jack. I taped up the microphone plug to eliminate confusion as I'll never use this for gaming.The actual product performance is great. Comfortable fit, good sound with adjustable volume that works. I've read some complaints about the quality of the microphone, I have not noticed this but then I'm just using it for phone calls and for that purpose, it works fine. And, cant forget the price. Great bang for buck!

Very, very, very disappointing headset from Plantronics. Comfortable, yes. Durable, NO! They mouth pice stopped working within weeks on multiple pairs. Then the ear pieces came off. Not good for talking or listening. Our cheap $3 headsets lasted longer and worked better. I use Plantronics at work, and they are great, but these shouldn't be considered Plantronics. They are junk.
