I have been using this headset for almost a month and I do enjoy them so far very comfortable and sound quality is not bad... I really like this product if you want better sound quality I plugged these into my surround sound speaks and they got louder and sweeter....

I didn't realize these were platform-specific, so bought this for my Mac. In retrospect, it does say "PC" in the product name but no-where on the blurb did it mention these were platform specific and I didn't expect these to be software dependent so wasn't looking out for that. I went back to find another one, and again, very difficult not to make the same mistake again because it's not spelled out which work for Mac which PC. Even if you search "Mac Gaming headset and USB" you get PC-only products. Not really a specific product complaint, so a bit unfair to rate, but thougth this was the best way to stop others making same mistake.

AWESOME headphones for a headset, and I'd go as far to say even better quality than my equally priced stand-alone headphones. Additionally, the headphones are comfortable on the ears, and the mic is clear with minimal feedback. The only thing that will take some getting used to is the volume/mic control; these controls are on the back of the left earmuff. I will definitely say that this headset is the best I've ever owned, though. Great price for a great set.

I got these bad boys Thursday afternoon, after napping & missing my Fedex delivery.The 4 hour wait (one day shipping, 12:30pm arrived, actually got it 5pm at Fedex store) was worth it.Let's begin the review, though.Comfort: The velvet and soft plush of the earcups are so great. It's like I'm not even wearing a headset. I've had irritating headphones, let alone headsets (previous headset was a PS3 Turtle Beach, dunno what brand, was like $79.99 and broke in 3 months due to wires blowing up). The comfort is well amazing, 5/5 easily.Durability: Haven't had these long but they seem sturdy. That's all I can say really. I'm a careful person, especially with things I buy, so breaking these probably will not happen (jinx knock on wood). No rating right now.Microphone Quality: The best headset I've EVER had in my online gaming experience. Previous microphone was a long, desktop microphone with decent quality - but picked up everything. This microphone won't even pick up a fan on max speed sitting like 10 inches away from me. People said I sound better, clearer, just way better than my other mic. 5/5 because of its insanely great quality.Sound Quality: I bought Hercules speakers, for days I get bored, but when I plug it into the Hercules, the volume is extremely low. When I plug headset into the tower jacks, it is pretty loud, with medium bass. 4/5 for bass but this is mostly a gaming headset, I didn't expect it to be even this good for the price. 5/5 general sound though.Miscellaneous: The two-inch or so cords that plug into the 3.5mm jacks are not as thick or strong as the length of the cable running down to meet the thinner ones. This is no problem; I rarely have any problems with handling my headset or getting angry, etc. Just something to look out for.In addition, I bought a 5.1 Channel Surround Sound USB Sound Card which is having delivery problems. This should pump up my headset's sound quality 10x. I'll edit this (if I can) and give it a more proper review with that addition.All in all: You get a BANG for your buck. This is top of the line. Microphone is extremely clear. Pro headset.IMO: 5/5 total, no doubt. Worth every penny, $28 with shipping. Beat that.

First of all, I found this headset to have great sound quality and I really enjoy using it as a gaming headset. The built in tuck-away mic is also a cool feature and has good clear quality. However, my gripe is that on some days I need to use the headset to make Skype calls that can last extended periods of time, and I find the headset gets extremely uncomfortable because the way the earpieces are insulated can make it really hot and uncomfortable around the ears. Another small gripe is that the headset is actually huge, and way bigger than I expected. Wearing it for a long time can be uncomfortable for this reason also, because of the weight. If it had been cheaper I probably wouldn't have minded so much, but for the value for price I found these little design flaws disappointing.

Pros:Feel great on my head (I have a small head).Sound great for the price (I've never used high quality headphones so I am by no means an expert.From what others say, the microphone sounds great.Cons:The band feels a little flimsy.The control box is very poor quality (the mute button feels as if it will snap off at any moment).The squishy area below the band gets very greasy (maybe just my hair).Overall: Great headset for the price, the cord is a great length as well.

The Plantronics GameCom 780 Surround Sound Stereo PC Gaming Headset I bought here from Amazon was in mint condition when opened from the package. It operates as stated and has stellar audio quality as well as microphone quality. In my humble opinion, if you're looking for a headset for gaming, look no further. I have bought many gaming headsets in the past and well... this is the one. Well done Plantronics.. well done.

This girl gamer was blown away by how well these improve the sound of my PC games. I am a MMORPG player and I cant beleive what I was missing! I heard my games in a way I never heard them before! Love these, so well worth the money! After all, you do get what you pay for.

I got these originally just to communicate with my friends while gaming after upgrading to a desktop, from a laptop with an internal microphone. Now I find myself using these for everything on my computer. The sound quality is great, they're comfortable, I've worn them for 6+ consecutive hours with no discomfort. They do give you some pretty gnarly headphone hair though! The location of the buttons are convenient and useful, and the mic is of great quality as well, I have yet to hear complaints of the quality of sound on my end from others I game with. The surround sound is amazing as well, you can hear anything coming from all directions! TL;DR This is an excellent headset, with great sound quality, and I highly reccomend them!

My Turtle Beach X12's broke, so I bought these thinking I'd try them out.The X12's are much more comfortable. The ear cups are stiffer then I expected and are fabric. The headset is rather tight, with most of the pressure felt on my jaw. For this reason, I returned them.The sound quality is pretty good, although in comparison with the X12's, the bass is lacking.

Best headset you can buy for this price. They are absolutely comfortable with over-the-ear style. I have been using them for one week playing around 2 or 3 hours and they feel perfect in your head. Then only thing is that after 15 minutes you will feel some heat inside the ears, that happens in every headset I've tried in my life, but the heat is soft and don't go worst after that.The 7.1 simulation is good, increases the bass and the music sounds a lot better this way. I prefer to turn it off for gaming. Anyway, the soft included in the CD is very easy to manage. And icon in your desk bar will appear and you just have to click on/off.

These headsets are okay, but I found them a little too unstable for my use. The cord got tangled up easily and when I recorded sound, I had too many pops. I eventually ended up upgrading to an Sennheiser and am much happier.

I purchased this item used in like new condition for an excellent price. For what I received I was surprised by the quality of the headset and the sound quality. This headset has decent bass for playing games and listening to music. They fit my head comfortably, my head is larger than most, which was a big plus for me.I would recommend this Product even at the price of $35.

I wear glasses and it is hard for me to use headsets because they hurt after a while. These are one of the few pairs (including high priced ones) that don't hurt and they sound decent enough as well.

IT WAS SLIGHTLY UNCOMFORTABLE ON MY EARS BUT, ITS GETTING MORE ENJOYABLE AS IT BREAKS IN. BRAND NEW THE HEADPHONES ARE REALLY STIFF. HOWEVER, FOR THE PRICE THE MIC AND SOUND QUALITY ARE GREAT 6/5.

The headphones are pretty much what I expected for the price ($57.24; on sale). They fit on my head comfortably and are nicely padded. The sound quality is good, although they auto-reset to 5.1 surround instead of 7.1 when unplugged (you have to manually fix it). The buttons on the side to switch from the Dolby surround to normal and the volume controls are very handy.The only negative is the fact that the microphone does not work very well. It has some sort of popping noise that makes it impossible for anyone to understand anything I'm saying. This didn't concern me too much because I have a perfectly good standing mic.

This is the first headset I have bought, so I am less than knowledgeable in some areas.I bought this headset about a month ago because it seemed to fit my needs for a reasonable price. I bought this to use as gaming headphones, and they work very well for this purpose. I bought this model because I did not plan to use the microphone, and the hidden microphone would not get in my way. However, the microphone has allowed me to use voice dictation software, and seems to work extremely well for Skype calls. The headset is extremely comfortable, and only becomes a problem after about 12 hours of continuous use (don't ask). It seems to be well made, and all of the parts that would usually break are reinforced with plastic.It is worth noting that the headphones are not noise-cancelling. I can clearly hear people in the same room as me, and they can sometimes hear the audio coming from the speakers. This is not a problem for me, but it might be for some people.As for the sound quality, I have no previous experiences to compare it to. It seems to have good bass, though, and the sound seems clear.TL;DR- Great headset, would buy again.

The sound quality and the microphone is okay but if you're looking for a gaming headset and you know that you're going to have these on for a long period of time they start to feel uncomfortable on your ears. "Pillow Soft" is a lie, they are soft but they hurt after about an hour of wearing them. I don't recommend this type of headset for gamers. Another complaint is that they're not noise canceling at all so if you want a noise canceling headset this isn't the one for you.

The cord length is decent. They are extremely comfortable. Sound is fantastic. My friend has the expensive Turtle beach headphones and these sound the same in my opinion. These can't be beat for the price. I've been using these for about 2 months and the sound quality is fantastic. The microphone works just fine as it should. And the drivers the headphones came with installed and works properly on 64bit windows 7 OS.

These headphones have served me well for the past 6 months and I do recommend them to anyone looking for a good but cheap set of headphones. The mic sounds wonderful, and the sound quality is great. They are not noise cancelling, but they do block out a good amount of sound.

The headband plastic snapped as I was putting it on my head and only after 4 months. This is the second headset I've bought from Plantronics and that broke in similar manner because of weak plastic. I do not recommend these to anyone, however, I haven't found a headset that lasts anymore under a 100$.

For the last couple of years, I've used multiple cheap walmart headsets. They would hurt my ears, but I just put up with them. Then (for the release of GW2) I decided to put a little bit of money into getting a decent headset, so I did just that. The GameCom 780 is a VERY good headset. The sound is fantastic, the headset is comfortable, and it has good bass. The surround sound is a nice feature as well, and I like that I can turn it on and off. People in vent/mumble/TeamSpeak can understand me clearly.Great product, and at a very fair price.
