Pros: Incredible sound quality, played Vale Decem and The Bridge Of Khazad Dum, totally blew me away. Pretty sturdy, easy to install, good surround sound, Sexy bass.Cons: Tight for people with large heads such as myself, but my small headed friend put them on and found them quite comfortable so if you have a small head you'll be fine. Short Cord, but I have a USB extender so its all good for me. Loud Beeping noise when you turn it up and down, but it's barely noticeable when you're listening to music and such. Only Usb, so I can't use the awesomeness with my phone.Overall an excellent pair of Headphones. Not really sure what the music and movie/game mode changes, but it sounds better for music on music mode and vice versa.

I use my headset mostly for music, movies, and Skype. They are great for all three. In fact I'm rocking out now as I write this. The improvement in sound quality over my previous headset is mind blowing. Pre 780 Surround Sound I was missing a lot. The special pricing made it a sweet deal. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

I've had this headset for over a year now and it continues to be a great headset. Sound quality and comfort are good for everyday users. Never had a problem with it creating hotspots on my ears or head from wearing for a few hours at a time.

This is a great headset for the price. The mike is clear, the build is sturdy enough, and it is very comfortable with all the padding. There are a couple of minor things that get in the way of a 5 star review though. The first is that I need an external sound card to get the best sound out of it. I read the other reviews before purchasing these so I ordered a Turtle Beach Amigo II with them. Of course I had to check how they sounded through my Satellites inboard card, and the other reviews were right. It needs the extra boost. The second downside is that while the ear pads are replaceable, they are no longer available through Plantronics. Now I can't see anything really happening to the ear pads through normal use. However, if you have a cat like mine, something is bound to happen to them somewhere down the line.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas. I was looking for something that wouldn't require batteries. (I bought him a TurtleBeach headset a couple years ago, and he hardly uses it because it sucks up batteries so quickly.) This one is wired, and he says it is very comfortable, it works well, and I'm happy with the price!

When i first got this headset i though the mic piece didn't bend. I realize just gotta keep trying to bend it little by little and besides that I had no problem with this headset.I really like the sound quality. Its very comfortable,and my team-mates could hear me clearly. Very good product.

I bought these based on the high ratings, and was not disappointed by the sound quality of the recordings for my podcast. Many people told me my recordings sounded professional. Tip: angle the mic up near your nose to avoid unwanted breathing noises getting recorded.I primarily bought these because I used to live on a noisy street, and using any mic resulted in people thinking I lived on the Death Star with TIE Fighters zooming by. Not ideal for Skype calls and recording your voice. The external noise cancellation feature works fantastic -- I even ran a portable fan and my window A/C unit to try and thwart it, but still the noise-blocking worked.The only real downside to these is the design of the ear pads on the headphones -- they are quite small and rounded rectangular in shape, and after an hour they really start to wear on your ears.They do feel kind of cheap, but for the price what do you expect? Where they deliver is the noise-cancellation, and I was very impressed by how well these did the trick. The recorded audio also sounds great. They work great with Skype, and have a companion Mac app (system pref pane actually) you can download on the Plantronics site to integrate them with Skype perfectly.Mac tip: to control the volume of the headphones (any headphones actually), hold the Option key and click on the menubar volume control to access the headphones volume.

Sounds great, the mic is nice and loud so you can fine tune it. The Dolby Digital is amazing and sounds really great, and the virtual surround sounds just as great as real 7.1 (which costs twice as much). Overall i love these things and I would recommend buying it for any PC gamer.

at first, i plugged the usb into my 3.0 usb port. the headset just completely did not work well. so don't do it. use a 2.0 usb port.anyways, the quality seems pretty good, however, (this is actually the first surround sound headphones i've used) i feel that a normal stereo headphones would do just as good. but the discount to 50$ was nice enough for me. the mic is amazing and nothing wrong with it at all. but i would not recommend this headset to people who have huge ears (such as mine).so if you have small ears, have 2.0 usb port, short on money then i'd recommend this headset to you.but if you want true 7.1 (or even 5.1) surround sound, i'd recommend headphones that actually have 4 stereo speakers in each ear.

As a weekly gamer on Teamspeak, I'm elated with this headset. Fits comfortably. Crystal clear sound. Easy volume adjust and mute button access. Long USB cord so I can move around my office without having to go "AFK". Came in flawless packaging and was shipped promptly.

Considering I purchased this for only $25 and had free shipping, it was very much worth the money. If I had to have paid full price, however, it would feel rather overpaid. The construction is decent, and it's very light weight due to being full plastic. It creaks a bit when you're moving it around on your head but seems to be solid enough. The fabric used for the padding can get a bit itchy if you wear them an extended period (I tend to wear them on and off throughout the day as I work from home on the PC and game while on voice chat), but overall it's soft and the padding is sufficiently comfortable. The mic is great quality, I have no problem with background noise or not being heard, even if I'm speaking from a few feet away while it's not on my head. The rotation and way the boom fits into the main body is also very well thought out and constructed (the ear cups also rotate a bit on a ball joint which is useful). As far as audio goes, at low volumes it tends to sound a bit weak, but once you pump it up a bit (I'm not a fan of ear-blasting volume as I still have great hearing, but I like to feel the bass in my music at least) it sounds good. Compared to my old Sony MDR700DJ headphones, it's pretty comparable and much more comfortable. All in all a great low cost headset.

I've been using the previous series GameCom 777 prior to my purchase, and i must say it's a noticeable improvement in terms of audio performance, while retaining it's comfort. May not be the most blinged out headset out there, but hey underneath the hood its a beauty.

I bought theses on Amazon a few weeks ago for about $30. However I would be more than happy to spend up to $50 for them. They are a great headset and they have great quality.They are built quite nicely and I'm not scared about breaking them. They are made from what seems like a cheap plastic but I haven't broken them yet. They are also quite beautiful, the black and red looks great and the fact that the microphone can be placed out of your way and into the headset is a great feature!The sound quality is also great the 40mm Drivers do their job and help you hear everything while gaming. You can play them at a level that is quiet and still be able to clearly hear footsteps and gun fire in great quality.Altho they excel in gaming I might look into buying a different headset for music enjoyment and these don't seem to do the job for music.As for the microphone, It's not as good as I had hoped. While it does broadcast my voice clearly and is way better than my old microphone it isn't 100% noise canceling. If you plan on using a microphone like this, you may want to use a push to talk or voice detection software so that you aren't broadcasting white noise over your microphone. I also sometimes notice that my friends say they can hear when I watch youtube videos. So there is some audio leakage with these. However the over ear style DOES noise cancel annoying backround noises like your barking dogs.A great headset thats worth the money you pay!

I'm pretty fussy when it comes to headsets, and I must say this one is one of the best I've had, it is great. I thought that they would be too heavy when I took them out of the package but they sit very comfortably and have a nice big pad on the top.And previous reviewers are right...I bought a well-reviewed Fiio E3 Headphone Amp for cheap on Amazon, it was only $7.50, and tried that and WOWWWW these things just ROCK with that little amp, I had the EQ cranked way up in Itunes with the high side way down and it was way loud and clear as a bell. Pushed up the highs to 3/4 and still no distortion and lots louder. I definitely recommend one of the headphone amps for maximum enjoyment with this headset...note though that they are GREAT without one but with one I was like...Whoaaaa this is great, played I Drink Alone by George T. and Smokin' and I Ain't the One (Lynyrd Skynyrd) to test, cranked all the way and no distortion at all. I'm running sound through an iMic, also highly recommended.I usually don't give 5 star reviews, but this headset is well worth the cheap sale price at 22 bucks, it's worth at least twice as much, I'm sure it rivals a lot of $200 headsets out there.

The sound quality is fantastic, both in terms of the speakers and microphone. However, the fixed headband does make it uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. I would not recommend this product for those without perfectly round heads, or who are looking to wear this for extended gaming sessions

For 60$ headphones these things are amazing, especially for gaming. The surround sound is very good. When I play battlefield 3 with surround sound enabled the game becomes much more lifelike. Also the software has an option to optimize the sound for gaming and movies or for music. Nice feature imo. These headphones are comfortable to wear for long periods and don't hurt your ears like those kind that go in your ear. I have a pretty big head and they adjust fine for me. The volume adjustment on the headphone side is useful and the mic is very clear from what I've been told by the people I talk to online.

What can be said about this headset. Good price? Amazing Sound quality? All of these things present in this headset and more. Only isuse i had was getting the Dolby digital software because i dont have a cd-rom drive on my pc (long story there) but yes well worth the price tag.

I do not have a big head (I wear a 7 1/4 inch fitted cap); this headset is painful to wear after 10 minutes (all around the ears).They also crackle and pop when people with deep voices speak.

I play BF3 constantly and recently upgraded to GC780. The sound is full, with a flat response to all frequencies. I was used to another headset that had the bass pumped all way up but that was cheating my ears when I first used this headset. After a few days you can start appreciate it and by the way they have a response close to my behringer near-field monitors and yamaha listening speaker (where in fact I could not hear all that bass too, because they have a real flat response unlike my previous headset).The headset looks really tough, not something that is going to crumble after few month usage, also the dolby virtual is doing a great job even though it does not feel like a real 7.1 but sounds seems like coming from back, sides, or behind you and that is a real added value.As for comfort I find them a little bit overweighted but the top cushion is doing its job right.The MIC is very directional and clear so it keeps out most of the surrounding sound while other can hear me the way it is supposed to be.Overall a nice headset, with flat response, wide frequency range, build to last, and a virtual 7.1 that does its job without pretending to be a full 7.1 and the price feels right for the package.

These are primarily used for skype and google hangouts. But they are awesome when I need to be in a quiet concentration as well. They can be worn all day comfortably. While large, they are not heavy.I would only change them to have a longer cord.

Bought these so I wouldn't disturb my wife while I am flying FS 2004. Took a bit of tinkering with native windows drivers in XP to get to work but that is what you get for having a seven year old computer. Worked without a hitch in Linux Ubuntu 12.04!Sound is awesome! It really put me in the cockpit. Listening to music I am picking up on base tracks I never heard before. The cloth padding is quite comfortable for me and the phones adjusted to my pumpkin head just fine. I have not used the microphone yet. Be aware some voice control programs will not work with USB audio.

they don't fit flush, they are cocked at an angle and one edge presses on your ear, the foam is very hard and it hurts your ears.i needed stereo plugs instead of USB plug.. now i need another headset. the squareness lets sound leak out and putside sounds into the phones. don't waste your money on these.. maybe if you have a small head..?? big maybe.. these sound OK but are just ill designed crap due to being so painfully uncomfortable

first of all, this headsets are very comfortable (i bought these for my son and this is wha he said). he likes the feel of them and there perfect. thet kinda loook stylish but are still very well built and are good quality. the red cable added a touch of fashion to them.i even tried them on and they fit very well even though im an adult. i deducted one star cause i cant control the bass and you sorta can hear the surround sound but these are my first surround sound headsets so i cant realy say what a surround sound headset should sound like but its still worth the money. packaging was well designed (who cares but i thought i would just mention it). i although havent tryed ot on a game but for movies and music these things are beast!

Nothing fancy with this headset, but it holds serious sound waves. I owned Astro A40, Razer Megalodon, ROCCAT_Kav, and Bose QC15, I can say GameCom 780 beats the first 3 in term of sound quality, and on a par with QC15 if not better. However, GameCom 780 is not as comfortable as Astro A40, which is so comfortable to have long time on you head. But with this price and sound quality, this headset sets a standard other providers should watch carefully. Good work Plantronics. (I don't use mic often, so I don't care how good it is)

To me this is a great headset for the money. It's 7.1 and very comfortable. I recommend downloading the drivers and interface from the Plantronics website. If you've already installed from the disk and are having problems, uninstall in Control Panel (Programs and Features) and install from the website. I've installed on 4 computers. "If at first you don't succeed, . . ." Don't forget to enable 7.1 in the interface. I haven't used the microphone so I can't comment on it, but others have said it works fine.

Incredible! I am used to cheap, stereo headsets with a mic. I haven't checked out the mic as of yet, but the sound quality of these headphones! I am simply amazed that they sound every bit as good as my 1000 watt Sony AIO set that I have hooked into my main rig via a Creative USB 5.1 PRO (via optical to the 5.1 speaker set). Granted, these headphones aren't quite as loud - but the quality is superb! The bass is actually really good, which surprised me quite a bit.The software that comes with it is simple to install and operate. After setting my speakers to 7.1 instead of 5.1 in Windows sound setup, and turning on DOLBY - I am in musical heaven, and I have had these running for about 30 minutes now. I really had to write about this right away. The stereo is just that, but the DOLBY setting just sounds better to me.If the game surround is as good as I've read, I'm looking forward to honing in on the footsteps of my enemies soon :)
