As you've aged, have you grown a bit cold? Do you turn off "human interest" programs on TV because you're not interested? When some druggy cleans out your apartment, do you sit on the floor (no chair) and watch the wall (no TV)? Are you the one saying, not tonight, dear?Well, this headset may revive your passion. Not the headset, exactly, but, rather, the packaging of it is what will turn you on. It is IMPOSSIBLE to open. I tried scissors and razor-blade knives. When I did make a slit in the reenforced. carbon-fiber armored clamshell, I did not have the strength to pull it apart. As the minutes wore on, I felt the long-forgotten heat rise within me. A few minutes longer and I was screaming, wildly banging the thing on my desk, on the walls, on the floor. As adrenalin flooded my body, I took the thing into the garage and opened it with a bandsaw.I can't tell you how well it worked because the saw had cut it in half. I enjoyed that. :) Now, though, when I'm bored or tired, all I have to do is remember this headset: in seconds my nostrils flare and my blood boils. Kudos to Plantronics!I recommend everyone buy this set first to have the epiphany, then buy the Creative wireless headset (H-1200) you should have bought in the first place. Yes, it does cost more than this low-end piece of #$%@, but at least it's usable as a headset. And, as a bonus, to revive my marriage, I think of this headset, throw my wife on the bed, then ravish her. She loves it. I am alive again! I am a man!

I purchased this headset primarily for video conferencing using Skype. I have thoroughly tested this product and here are my observations.Pros:* Outstanding sound quality both incoming and outgoing.* Great sound isolation by ear pads.* Built-in sound card in USB plug is a great feature.* Seamless integration with Skype.* Very reasonable price.Cons:* Firm-fitting ear pads can get a little tiring on a very long call.Comments: I have purchased many Plantronics products in the past. They have a well deserved outstanding reputation which they have earned through the predictable high quality of their products. This headset follows in that tradition. It is an outstanding product at a very reasonable price. I recommend it without reservation.

Plantronics GameCom 367 Closed-Ear Gaming HeadsetThis was a replacement for my Plantronics GameCom 367 that I broke by stepping on it. Sound quality is great. Feel is comfortable. I can adjust it to my size, and the headphones cut out a lot of outside noise. The only issue I have is that the amplification isn't quite enough, and so when watching movies I plug it into my speakers. However, the amplification is fine on skype or webcams. I can turn the mike off when I'm doing things that don't require a mike. And I never leave it on the floor any more.I bought the same model as previously, which rarely happens, because my ears tolerate only the highest-quality sound for music. This is also one of the less expensive headphones, so the combination of quality and price makes it a five-star recommendation.

I purchased these for use in our office with skype calls. I thought that because they were gaming headsets that the mic quality would be excellent. It's not. You sound as if you are far away, in a large room. Other sounds in the room are picked up equally, without any depth of distance, so that, to the person on the other end, it is difficult to distinguish the voice speaking into the mic from any background noise.To add insult to injury, on one headset the audio in one ear is completely broken, and on another headset, the mic chord literally just fell out. Both headsets are completely useless now! I could be more disappointed with my purchase.

When I ordered these, my gaming friends teased me, saying that these are a terrible off-brand, and that I should buy Sennheiser. Much to my delight, these have proven to be really good. The padding is very comfortable. The sound, especially the bass, makes the gaming experience more real. You can hear the explosions really shake you. the build quality is great. The volume control is very nice, with a smooth circular dial to adjust volume, and a simple switch to turn the mic on or off. They are solid, and large. The cables are thick and tough, and the connectors are solid. If you are thinking of spending tons of money on gaming headphones, you should really check these out first. They are really nice headphones, and a great value.

The good, quality,comfort,style I game so I really want to be able to hear everything around me especially in games like BF3. I just dont like the level of detail it offers. But for the money it's great dont get me wrong.Im not using a sound card that may have alot to do with it. Cause Im using my surround sound I dont feel a need for one. But when I plug in the PLANTRONICS quality drops alot.Will buy a sound card then post changes if any.

Although they look bulky these fit great for extended periods. I've trashed numerous other brands that seemed fine at first only to squeeze your ears after an hour of continued use. The frame while bulky helps to keep the fit true for hours of extended use. Overall quality of sound, fit, and price makes this headset a must buy for gamers on a budget.

This was a very comfortable and lightweight headset. I used it for VoIP calls, and it captured my voice VERY clearly, and it blocked out background noise very well. One thing that I didn't like was that it also would pick up my breathing more than other headsets, but bending the mouthpiece away from my mouth helped a good deal. After a copule years of use, however, the left ear piece stopped working properly (the wire is loose), and now the product is discontinued.

Broke month and a half in conveniently outside of return policies. The mic overall was pretty bad for the entire time I had the device, but The sound quality is pretty good(thats why i gave it 2 starts not one) Mic sound for other people is stuffy and terribly amplified. And be ready for very hard pressure on yur head for the first 2 weeks until u break it in it will be trying to squeeze your brain out your eyes.

As the title states these are above average headphones for the price. Recently my PC headset took and dump and I though I was take a chance purchasing these. Like some of the reviews have stated they are a little tight. I have found that if I tilt them forward a bit they seem to fit ok. I have a set of turtle beaches for xbox I can't say they are any better than these. I do like how the mic folds up into the headband itself. No issues on vent/teamspeak/skype. Gave it a 4/5 just for comfort. They would be that much more awesome if the sides lit up red! Not a bad buy.

This thing clamps your head so bad that it hurts. I bought it as a budget headset thinking it would be comfortable and not only that but the sound quality is also crap, if you are thinking about buying it then don't. go look for something better don't waste your time on this, all i liked was the fast postal service.

I've had this for two years now.Pros:-apparently durable. I've drop mine occasionally with no ill effect. I roll over the cord every other minute.-long cord, volume control, mic, etc-sound quality is of good open headphones. I have the ATH-AD900 and this isn't far behind.-incredibly comfortable for long periods, no warmth to speak of.-no adjustment needed. Wires provide some 'clamp', headband supports the weight, ear cups tilt. I don't understand why this design isn't more popular.Cons:-Microphone becomes loose, must be modified. I achieved this be wedging paper in the joint and taping it down above-Pads are felt or something similar, will be slightly itchy before they are 'broken in'Other:-yeah it's cheap and plasticy, but it's also light, so eh-These have been long-discontinued. Shame, but I got mine incredibly cheap

These headsets are pretty good. I like how comfortable they are, you can wear them for long periods of time with no fatigue. It picks up your voice nicely and audio is really nice played through these headsets. It has a long cord and a sound dial to turn the volume up and down, also on the dial it has a switch to turn off and on the microphone. My only two complaints would be that the sound canceling isn't that great. It is supposed to cancel out background noise, but it doesn't do it very efficiently... It still does cancel out some noise but not all. Also the packaging is kind of hard to open. overall this is a very nice headset and it is amazing for it's price. I would highly recommend these.Pros:- Comfortable- Good Audio- Long Cord- Good PriceCons:- Sound Canceling not as good- Packaging

These seem to be nice headphones.Just got them today and tried them out on battlefield 3, some music and a movie.They are large but not heavy at all, actually very comfy.The mic seems kinda far from your mouth but cant tell ya if anyone can hear you ,haven't talked to anyone on them yet.They sound great and wear great and would recommend them for the comfort and sound alone.I would say there worth the money but time will tell...

I have used lots of brands and have always hated over the head phones, but these are so comfortable. have had them on right now for 3 hours and barely feel them. Only downside is when its warm they don't allow much air circulation, so my ears have a mini sauna...

The headset came well packaged and it was even able to be opened with a giant knife. The headset is large and not extremely comfortable. The ear pieces are not deep enough and seem to crush my ears a bit. The sound quality is fine and it records fine, even though the microphone is nowhere near my mouth. For the money this is a acceptable head for short term usage.

I just got this today, after paying almost $9 for shipping and waiting 5 days, only to discover the darn mic doesn't work. Never buying another headset again. Was really depending on this for gaming/casual voice chat.Thanks a lot, Platronics. I'll be taking my money back now. You can keep your plastic piece of crap.

I am a tiny woman and just me pulling it out of the package snapped the plastic that slides in and out to extend the size of the headphones. They're also a bit too tight, even expanded on my head. The microphone sounds good but it's also poorly built.I think at $25 they're crappy quality so I feel sorry for those who spent more.Not sure why they've got such good reviews.Returned for refund so I could get a better pair.

For the mostpart, this headset is very nice. It's got a very plastic-like appearance and feel, but it's not cheap by any means. It's easy to adjust and tends to remember its setting, even after removing it multiple times. The padding is also very comfortable, especially around the ears.Sound quality isn't going to blow you away, but it's passable. My first sound impressions left me desiring more bass, but that was easily solved in about 30 seconds via the Windows Sound Mixer.I honestly can't speak for the Microphone because I use an external one. My primary desires for this headset were Sound and Comfort, and this device doesn't disappoint on either. I can easily wear these for 8+ hours without feeling any discomfort.There are certainly better headsets out there, but it's hard to beat this one in terms of value.

Beware of any pair of headphones that has an inline volume control. Mine failed within a few months of use. I bypassed the crumby potentiometer in this pair when it got worn to the point of being unusable.This design depends on the arms holding the cans to bend. My set fatigued to the point of cracking and breaking. I fixed one arm, but as expected, the other arm broke. I owned this product for about a year before total failure.I advise the prospective buyer to buy a nice set of headphones (Grado, etc) and a separate mic. I hear throat mics are cheap these days.It's in your best interest to spend a bit more to get something that lasts, and sounds better.

I bought these on a recommendation and they meet my expectations. However the plastic, heat-sealed clam shell packaging is horrible. I nicked two fingers and drew blood before I got the package open. I tried a large pair of heavy-duty steel scissors first with no success and finally resorted to a straight razor blade. By the time I got it open I was so irritated, I felt like returning the product and the mangled packaging.I think the manufacturer should use the reversible plastic snaps instead of heat sealing the seams. Or figure out some way to package their product in a way that's more friendly to their customers.

Good headphones. Unfortunately, the mic stopped working on the second day of use. Got it replaced under warranty with no hassle. Received a new headset, and the mic stopped working again after a day of use. Not worth the trouble of getting a third. Get another headset if you need to communicate with people. If you just want headphones, these will do.

The sound quality is very good. The mic works very well. However, the earpieces are not as comfortable as I was hoping they would be. Ears tend to get sore in about an hour or so. Moving them around/ readjusting seems to help some. In reality I thought that earpieces so large would completely cover the ear, and they do, but still smashes and becomes sore. I have small ears and can make these work better than alot that I have used, but for someone with larger ears- these would be a no go in the comfort category. Everything else about them is great. The cord is long and sturdy. The coverings on the ears are soft. The sound deadening is great. If they were a bit easier on the ears I would'nt consider buying anything else.

This is a pretty good headset. It's definitely worth what I paid for. It's not the most comfortable headset I've worn and it took a little bit to "break in" but I can wear it while gaming for a pretty long time without anything than a bit of warmth around my ears. The cushioning on the ears and the headband definitely do its job.

I'm not a gamer but I like to talk. I wanted something that was comfortable, had a microphone, wasn't earbuds, not expensive, and sound isolating. I got all but the last with these. Don't expect them to dampen the sounds around you. My ear buds with the soft rubber do a much better job at that but I can't stand wearing them for more than an hour. What is great about these is the soft cushions around the ears and on top, the great sounding microphone (I use GMail chat and calls with Google Voice primarily), and the relatively good sound quality. I'm no audio fanatic but these sound good. Because they are bigger speakers than the tiny ear buds and because they are further from my ear I must turn up the volume more than my ear buds. Not an issue. I find it preferable because it means bass is stronger and hissing noises are quieter. The other downside, besides the lack of noise isolation, is the size. I look like I should be flying a helicopter with these on. Overall, I'd recommend them if you can stand the size.EDIT 12/12/12:I've had these for almost two years now and use them every day. I've since obtained some JVC HANC250 noise cancelling headphones and, after using those for some time, I now know that the sound quality of the Plantronics isn't anything to write home about. They're fine but not great. The big thing I still like about them is being able to wear them all day comfortably. The retracting mic is nice, too.I predict I'll eventually stop using these headphones because of the inline volume dial. Don't use it if you can. I can tell it's starting to flake out. If I move it, the left and right speaker volumes can become unbalanced and I have to keep toying with it until it's right again. Annoying but not a big deal as long as I can fix it.

After doing ALOT of research I bought this headset to replace a set I spent an equall amount of money on.The reviews on this particular model were very insightful and were a deciding factor in my purchase. The headset is very comfortable although they are a little tight, this tightness is ver minuscule and i imagine will go away once they become accustomed to the size of my head. The mic still has to be close to my mouth so that I can be heard but these are the first headset that I actually had to turn down once I had them in place and my guild friends said they were very clear. The cords are very thick and tough, which is good cuz I have pets with claws. The craftmanship of this headset is comparable to more expensive headsets I have seen. The speakers when not turned up incredibly loud are pretty clear although the bass can be staticy depending on what u are listening to. I mainly use this headset for gaming and they do a very good job with that. I highly recommend these to gamers who are working with a budget.
