These sit comfortably over my ears, which is nice because it helps to keep them warm as well. The sound is fine for me, but I'm not a audiophile so I don't have that high demands for a headset in terms of sound quality. The mic works, my Mumble mates can hear it clearly, and it can be hidden, which is a handy feature. Slightly heavy on the head so wearing it for a long time you start to feel the pressure, which loses it a star from the rating

I got these headphones and they suck when plugged into my ipod or computer. But when they got good power going to them? They are freaking amazing!! Deep loud bass, clear mids and highs, its crazy how big the difference is. These are more like huge comfy, head mounted speakers then headphones so keep that in mind when you are using an iPod or crappy computer sound cards to power these.

I'll get the good parts out of the way first: they haven't broken yet (6 months in), and the sound quality is pretty good (I'm not an audiophile).But now for the bad. I absolutely cannot believe that Plantronics discontinued their amazing equally-priced, same-market offering, the Gamecom1, in favor of selling this awful thing. I owned the Gamecom1 and it last for almost two years before the microphone wire got severed. When I looked for a replacement, I found that they came up with this instead. So, what's the problem? There are two main ones:1) Comfort. I could wear the Gamecom1 for hours on end, and I did -- 3+ hour stretches were not uncommon, and at the end I'd only be sore from listening to sound for that long. Wear one of these for an hour and your ears will _hurt_. Especially when you go to take it off, as the blood rushes back into them. This is an absolute nightmare. It's pretty easy to see why too -- the Gamecom1 had that soft foam that was easy on the ears, this on the other hand has practically unyielding leather.2) Audio control. The very lowest possible sound level on the headsets (without outputting a weaker signal from the computer) is insanely loud. Sound level 0 does not mean quiet, it means practically a third of what my speakers are capable of outputting! This is nothing short of shameful; I understand it's not possible to have the sound dial exactly synchronized with my speakers but a setting of zero needs to *damp* the signal, not pass it unmodified!There's another minor issue, in that the Gamecom1 had a clip so you could clip the extra-long cord to your shirt in case you had a rolling chair like me. This lacks that, but it's not a big deal.Do not buy. Either beg Plantronics to make the Gamecom1 again (superior to this in every way at the same price point), or find another company. You will be able to find a far more comfortable headset with equivalent sound at this price point. The design on this product is simply shameful, especially after past successes.

It is very comfortable, and has really good sound! Awesome headset for the price! Plus it looks really nice! I really like the fact that they go over the ear making it so much more comfortable to wear for a long period of time. Great for those long hours of gaming, listening to music, or just watching a movie! Very happy!!!

These are nice gaming headsets the sound is nice and the mic is awesome no adjustments on the pc needed at all. I did not know that the mic stick pulls out further so I kept making adjustments on the pc but after pulling it out it works flawlessly. There is not as much bass as I would like but it's there. In line headset volume is a nice feature as well as the mic mute but I use PTT so haven't really used it. It does hurt my ears after about 3-4 hours of continuous use. Even with the ear padding the speaker set inside pushes against my ears. I still like em. Gives you enough length so that you can hook it up in the back mic input if you don't have front mic input. For the price you cant beat it.

These work way better then the 30 dollar set of Logitech usb headset i was using before this, Like other have said i have a big head i wear a 3 xl atv helmet and have to remove the padding from the sides lol and there comfortable use them for hrs and hrs at a time while gaming and watching movies, 1 thing i will say i was disappointed in is i though being closed ear they would block the background noise more. Would definitely recommend these to anyone to be used from gaming to music and videos.

I've got a pretty big head and most headsets hurt my ears or give me a headache. This one has great sound quality (I'm not an audiophile but I love my music to be clear and crisp) and can sit comfortably for hours.That being said, it's huge. If you have a small head, you'll look really confusing.

Games with this head set sound good, but if your like me and like to blast you music from time to time this is not the headset for you then because this headset even on max is not that loud. It cancels some of the external sound but not all. As for comfort I wear glass and can easily play for hours with this headset and even if you are a metal head and head bang with this headset it stays on pretty well. All in all im happy with it and people complain that the mic goes out well this product comes with a 1 year warrenty.

I bought this headset for gaming while chatting on ventrillo. I cannot believe it's only $25. The overall quality is outstanding. I would have paid $50+ with no complaints.Pros- Great sound quality for games, music, and chatting. It's almost too good, now I can hear people eating and typing while on vent :p- The headset is comfortable.- Materials are firm and not "cheap" feeling.- Microphone isn't intrusive and people hear me clearly on vent.- Price!Cons- I cannot hear my wife hollering at me while gaming. Not sure if that's a pro or con :)- It's pretty big, which doesn't bother me.Overall if you are looking for a high quality gaming headset with a low price, look no further. You have found it!

I bought these about 8 months ago and have used them extensively since then. I wear them to listen to music and play games mostly, and wanted a microphone that I could also use in certain FPS and MMO's I play.They work fine, however I have a big head and this headset isn't very flexible. The padding on the ear pieces is thin and doesn't protect my ears at all. I can feel a round hole in the earpiece where the speaker is set in, and the edge of that hole digs into my ears when I wear them. It becomes very uncomfortable to wear after about an hour and I have to take it off.If you have a small head you might enjoy this headset, but I will be looking for another one that is larger and has better padding.

I got these head phones earlier this week after my new puppy chewed up my three older cheapo headphones. Let me just say, these are *AMAZING*. The sound quality is excellent (if a little tinny/hollow/ sometimes without an amplifier), and the voice quality is excellent (my wow guild noticed right away that I had a new gaming headset), IF people can hear you. For some reason, some people have mentioned an issue hearing me, because the microphone is so far from my mouth. But, I've found that speaking up, (I'm usually a bit mousy quiet) can help. May have to adjust the sensitivity. They're very comfortable, though. not too crazy. Earbuds hurt my ears, so I stick with these. And as another poster mentioned, it's great pretending you can't hear anyone. XD

I can be pretty hard on my headsets. The typical headset usually lasts me only a few months. I've had this Plantronics Multimedia headset for almost two years now and it works like a charm. The sound quality is great and I like the fact that the mic can rotate back and out of the way when not needed. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is that it becomes a little uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time because the headband is a bit too tight. (more than 1 hour of use and I start to notice the pressure of the set on my ears) All in all though it is a great value headset. I used it with an online MMORPG and never heard any complaints about the sound quality of the mic. Highly recommended!

After reading a few reviews, I wasn't too sure about how this would turn out. I had already bought it, so I waited till it came, which was hard cause I was excited. It came right when I wanted it to, and I immediately loved it.Pros:Mic is really good.Sound is great.Comfortable, wore it for 3 hrs b4 any real discomfort.Easy to set up.Cons:Hard to think of any off the top of my head. They itch a bit after an hour or so, but that's minor.I love this headset. I recommend it to all casual gamers and some hardcore gamers.

This headset squished my ears in the weirdest way; not only is it too tight, but the way it fit caused me instant headaches and nausea. Adjusting it didn't help and I think the problem is more in the angle of the ear pieces. I have a pretty average sized head and I've never had a problem with any other headsets, but because I've only been able to try them for short periods of time before feeling sick, I am only able to comment on the fit and not performance. I would recommend trying these on somewhere if possible before purchasing.

Ok I bought these with an USB sound card adaptor STRICTLY FOR MY PS3. I LOVE THESE FREAKING THINGS!! They heavy duty but light on your head, plus your ears will not be on fire from it being closed. I mostly play COD online, these things are great. So what they are corded (6.5ft) Its all yea need to game, with mic connected to PS3 and headphones to T.V. (most new t.v.'s come with headphone jacks) BAM YOU HAVE SURROUND SOUND!!!!. It's no bass booming headphone, but you can hear your enemies sneeking on you and all thats count to.. SO FOR MUSIC DONT KNOW???? BUT GAMING ON A BUDGET FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

I used this headset for about 2 months without any problems. One day the retractable microphone got stuck and I spent hours trying to free it. When it's retracted no one can hear me in ventrilo (a program for gamers to talk to each other). It finally slid out and worked normally, but every time after that the mic would get stuck if it was in the retracted position. Sometimes you can't leave it extended if you're concerned it might get bent or break.Eventually after too many attempts to extend the mic the plastic around it just cracked and wires were exposed. After that the mic just stopped working completely though the headphones were fine.Biggest piece of junk I've ever bought. You need to be very careful with the mic and preferably leave it extended. If it's retracted it might get stuck and if you're a gamer with a team of people waiting for you, it's frustrating as all heck.

Plantronics GameCom 367 Closed-Ear Gaming Headset - got this for my son, who likes to play minecraft. He uses it to talk with others playing the game. I wanted him to have a headset that worked but didn't break the bank, this one works just fine for him.I have worn them once just to be able to hear things on the computer without bothering others in the same room. I am a fan of earbuds but these are adjustable and on a comfort scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) I would rate them an 8.sound quality is good - I think some of the bass is lost compaired to the speakers I have but all in all a good product.

I almost broke my scissor and broke my arm trying to cut through the plastic sealed packaging. It's almost harder than steel.DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT. You've been warned!!!

I was looking for an affordable headset with decent sound and a microphone for movies and gaming. For the price, it's an excellent deal. They are very comfortable, with decent sound quality, and a microphone. I really like the velvet material around the ear cups and head cushion. My only complaint is they push against my glasses a little bit, but if I adjust the arms it's not too bad. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Pros:I'm not an audiophile, but the sound is good enough. What I like most is the comfort. The headphones are big enough that they surround and don't really touch my ears, so they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time.Cons:They would probably break a little bit easier than other headphones, but it's not like you have to be extra careful with them.Overall:I've used lots of headphones for gaming over the years, and these are by far my favorite. Even though they are a solid product, they get 4 stars because they aren't the best of the best, but then again you can't expect excellence all around without paying a lot more. For the price, they would get 5 stars.

So far so good with this Headset. It's super comfortable. I've used it multiple times for 4+ hour gaming sessions and it doesn't make my ears sore like my last pair did. The mic works fine and sound quality is solid. They're so comfortable that I've started to use then even if I'm not using the mic, which I never did with my old set.For $25 you really can't beat it for what you get. My brothers have nicer sets but their's cost $120+. So if you're like me and don't want to $120+ on a headset, pick these up they're well worth it.

The product lasted around 6 months...It looked great, the audio quality was great also the mic capture quality was not great but good. The poor build quality of the volume adjuster in the cable gave me problems on changing the volume and in the end caused the mic to die since over time the cables in it tend to loose. Tried re-solding them but in the end for $25 i decided not to waste time with the warranty and i just trashed them and now i bought the .audio 655 from plantronics to see if it goes better.

Good headphones. Comfortable, good sound quality, solid in build. A good deal at the current price of $25 (Aug 2011). My only heads-up, fellow-Amazoners, is that while they're fine for computer/laptop use, they won't work on the Playstation 3.[From Plantronic's support website: "Re: Plantronics GameCom 367. Unfortunately that headset does not show compatible with the PS3."]It appears Plantronic's Gamecom 777 will work with the Playstation (suggested in Plantronic website comments) and I also read on the web that an rca-to-usb audio adaptor might make it work, but I had no luck when I tried using an old Griffin Imic.So a good headset, and worth considering if you're after computer-headphones. But if your 13 year old son is trying to talk you into buying this to use on the family Playstation3 (my situation) tell him they won't work, and look elsewhere.

I've owned a pair of Skullcandy Com TI Multimedia headphones for about 3 years now. They've always done well for me, despite not being a top of the line headset. I've used them for music, movies, video chatting, and in game communication. They broke last week.I was tempted to simply order a new pair, but These Plantronics caught my eye. I decided to give it a shot. Here are some impressions.The Fit:They're a bit wider than I'm used to with a slightly tighter hold on the head than I'm used to. Not uncomfortable, just...noticeable. I'm confident this will fade with use. The gap inside the ear cup is roomy, and the circumaural padding is soft and comfortable. It seems to be covered in a microfiber of sorts which is pleasing to the touch, but do trap some more heat than may be comfortable. (I recommend removing these every hour or so, just to let your ears breathe a bit.) They headset can expand to accommodate what I can only imagine to be heads of cartoonish proportions, so sizing should not be an issue at all. The mic slides out and can bend a bit for suitable placement.The Look:Aesthetically, they're damn cool. Matte black with a translucent red color scheme, the hideaway mic...it looks good, undeniably so. The square cups give it a vaguely futuristic look, which may be a plus for some. Frankly, it makes little difference to me, but there it is anyway.The Sound:The bass is a bit flat at first listen, but not to a point where it makes a listening experience any less enjoyable. It handles voice very well, on both counts. People sound fine on say, skype or world of warcraft, and your voice is equally audible to people on the receiving end.The Build:The headset seems well made, from top to bottom. The cushions seem fairly durable, the plastic does not bend or stress in any way, the mic boom seems well built and the cord is fairly resilient. The in-line volume control and mute switch also seem to be well made, although the volume control seems a bit...unbalanced. (The volume change from 1 to 2 is much greater than the volume change from 2-3 or 3-4. Volume setting 2 seems to be more than adequate, at any rate. My only gripe is that the plugs are not color coded for mic and audio.

This is the third set of these headphones I have purchased from amazon.com and fourth set over all, to no fault of the product, (side note, kittens LOVE the wires). The ear cups are huge, with ears like mine, they NEED to be huge to be comfortable, and these are very comfortable. The sound quality is fantastic as well, from both the mic. and the speakers. the cord is nice and long, almost to long, but a twist-tie or zip-tie fixes that if it is a problem. The headset itself is durable, doped it several times with no problems. These are very comfortable to wear for many many hours in a row with out getting to hot or causing pain from excess pressure.In two of my (four) sets, as described by others, the mic. boom arm, falls, as I don't need it to move anyway, I just move it to where I want it to be, tape it in place with masking tape to hold it temporarily, then dip superglue in to the gap, once dry, I remove the tape and have no issue from the mic. Though the last 2 sets have not had this issue.

I got this product on sale for $20 and I got what I paid for. It was listed as somewhere in the $60 range originally though and if I had paid that much for it I would have been quite disappointed.Pros:Comfortable and a good fit, even for my giant head. Mic works well.Cons:Very low to no bass output. Overall sound quality was sub-par to the $10 headphones I had before.Other thoughts:The framing is all plastic, so a good 5 or 6 foot drop could defiantly break the headphones.Overall, I would spend that $20 elsewhere. I wish reviewers had been more informed before I purchased these.

This is a very well constructed headset, it is a closed ear type although it is not a noise canceling headset. You can use this headset for long periods comfortably. The sound quality is good for the price range, but if you are looking for studio quality you won't want this headset. I have had my headset for a couple of weeks now and use it on google hangouts everyday for 1 to 2 hours at a time. I would recommend this headset to anyone wanting it for chat or gaming type uses. It is OK for music listening but just OK.

I thought this was way too heavy to wear for extended times. I did like the feel of the ear cups, very soft. The headband was also nice but I noticed after a couple of hours, my head hurt from the weight. As far as sound goes, it was okay at best. Not great, not bad. On Windows 7, the software that was installed was CMedia. I expected better sound tbh.

Slightly depthy but to the pointreview.Owner for a month now, everyday use at work and home.i use these for game level design at work and FPS games at home.Pros-pretty good bass. i haven't tried on a lot but a few high quality ones and this is in the mid-range. but i give it a 4 for great price.Excellent sound quality. nothing else to say their.pretty comfortable, which is saying something for my Dumbo ears.Cons-microphone will need to be tuned to your system. i have to give it a +30Db and 100% gain for people to hear me correctly. and if you're not careful, you can get some bad looping feedback. (one particularly bad incident when first using them and the whole building heard the audio room)ears get a little warm, but i don't notice it after 2 weeks of messing with themrecommendations-if you get these, get a 3D sound adapter if you're hardcore gaming. once i did that i can hear people from every angle and every direction to the T.thoughts-There is another set of gaming headphones from this company that sells for around $58. if you get these with a 3D audio adapter for about $5 more, you can get the same quality and rub them in the face of that guy Phil who swears his are better because they are more expensive.Stupid Phil.

Bought these headphones because I was going overseas and needed them for skype. I bought them on March 11, 2011 and they are STILL WORKING GREAT! I've bought many headphones and HIGHLY recommend these. They're worth way more than the 30 bucks i paid for. a crappy product costs a lot in the long term. Only if they had noise cancelling... maybe some day.

I really love this headset. It was very inexpensive and super comfortable. I work at home, so a good headset is a must have for me, and I've never had any problems with this one. Sound quality is really good, mute button is a life saver and it really does a great job of blocking out background noise. I use it with an analog to USB converter and the sound quality is even better than analog.
