Worked on pluging in, but required a bit of searching to install the surround sound. Once set up, headphones worked great. They're a bit uncomfortable and hot, but are otherwise great.

I've had 4 different headphones for gaming - a couple of Logitech's (mid and high value), Sennheiser PC350s, and these. For the price, these are simply outstanding. I'm not writing a book, so here's the summary:1. The microphone beats any of the others I've had (including the Sennheisers) - no question. The voices of guys I play with (and a few have this headset now) are night and day. Before they were tinny/thin sounding - almost like a mediocre phone connection. Now they actually sound like they're in the room - I know what these guys really sound like.2. Surround sound. In game I actually hear footsteps/breathing and I can clearly place the location of the noice (behind/left/right/above/below/etc). With every other headphone, while I may have heard footsteps and breathing I had no clue where it was coming from.The only thing I prefer using other headphones for is listening to music - but only audiophile headphones. Music through any other gaming headphone is no better than it is through these.For $80, these can't be beat.

I typically 'game' on Xbox, but play a few games on my computer. If I cant use my gaming headset on the xbox, I wont play, Im addicted to them and the game isnt the same without them. So when I got the chance to get a set for PC, I jumped at it.These are great! Install was easy, my computer found the required drivers and within a minute I was good to go. Most of my games are FPS or 'shooters', and these work great. Sound is amazing, you can hear directionally, every detail, well worth the money. They are comfortable too!Oddly, they dont sound all that great when listening to music or movies on my computer. Not sure why. But hey, they specifically say GAMING HEADSET in the name, so I cant hold it against them if they dont perform well in areas other than that. When it comes to gaming, these are GREAT!If you enjoy PC gaming, you will love these. Well worth the money. The only drawback is if you ever get stuck playing without them, once you get used to them there is no way your PC speakers will ever compare.

Got these and immediately installed the software from the Plantronics site. Fired up Guild Wars 2, got started...and about 10 seconds in started getting intermittent static. No matter what settings I changed I couldn't get it fixed. I was pretty upset. As a last ditch I tried different USB ports. First one, no different; second one, the issue still persisted. Third time was the charm. Sound quality is good, feel comfortable so far...I haven't done any marathon sessions yet but I don't think any headset in this price range will be comfy after 6 hours. At this point, unless something changes (in which case I will update this review), 5/5.

Okay well I will just say I took a gamble buying these knowing they were cheap ($23) and hoping for something worth much more. I figured since they weren't a cheap brand but not very huge like logitech I might find a hidden get....I was WRONGPCNot to say I don't like these but they just feel like a large set of regular headphones. When I set up on my PC they connected and worked perfectly..except for the microphone. Although it has a cool and sound canceling design the pick up levels were so low that I thought it was broken until I boosted the mic levels.PS3When I hooked it up to my PlayStation 3 the sound was slightly better but the bass still sucked(IMO) while connected through my samsung dvd player which is connected to the ps3 via optical wire and the quality just wasn't there.I haven't checked but the mic is completely useless if they ps3 doesn't allow for raising the gain for the mic.Overall QualityNow the build quality seems pretty good not sure how long it will last though, only time will tell. It has an inline volume control which is pretty handy. The cushion is soft and comfortable for about 2 hrs. I have had about 15 or so hrs of gameplay with these things and after 2-3 hrs they start to bother my head each time and I constantly find my self repositioning they damn things to a new spot for comfort. W/o an amp these thing don't get very loud at all. And if your going to spend money to buy an amp you might as well use the money and just get something good in the first place.In My Opinion...don't get these unless you're a light gamer and want something cheap that will cancel noise out effectively.

This headset has to be by far, one of the most comfortable ones I've ever had. The earpads are quite large and easily overlap my ears, providing the sound the best chance to really reverberate in my head. The top of the head is also padded (as shown in the picture) and this makes the headphones very comfortable.The sound quality is good, sometimes it needs to be turned up a little more than I'd like for me to really get the feel of the music, but I've never had a glitchy problem with them.The mic is really good, I mean, what can you say about it? It transmits your voice really well! It's also extremely easy to forget that it even has a mic since it can be hidden so well in the headset portion of it!One negative thing is that when wearing these for extended amounts of time in hot weather the headset gets hot. The cloth padding really warms you up (which could be positive or negative depending on weather).The cord is extremely durable in accidents (I slammed the car door on mine and drove for 3 miles before realizing it, didn't even leave a mark on it) but is a little heavy sometimes.Overall this headset is DEFINITELY worth the money! :)

Easy to use controls and decent quality. The foam on the top and ears is pretty good and comfortable. I do get a pinching over extending periods on one ear so if you have a big head, wear glasses you might want to really make sure your ear is fully set inside.The sound quality is decent enough. Im still tweaking things but overall pretty good.Build quality is solid with my other complaint being that the cord length isnt long enough. Hard to lean back in my chair and not get pulled back.

I like the ability to mute on the set itself, it works great.My only gripe is, for me they seems to squeeze my ears a lil too tight, but the spot it rests on my head is very comfortable.The sound from these embarasses my cheap desktop speakers, if i didnt have weinie ears these would be great to wear all the time.I have gotten the comment that i sound like i should be a radio announcer from people i talk to with the headset on, not sure if it's me or the headset lol.

For the price you can't go wrong and after reading the connection problems and how much batteries the wireless headsets go through I wanted a wired one and bought this. I bought the Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset, RoHS that hooked into the USB port on PS3 and Cables To Go 40408 3.5 mm Male/Female Stereo Audio Extension Cable - Black (12 Feet/3.65 Meters) 12 ft extension cables so I could sit on the couch. It works awesome! This setup I would higly reccomend if you want to sit play online and chat for hours. What I really like is the mute switch and the inline volume control. And my game of choice with this set up is Warhawk (No Headset).Once you get the adapter, plug it into a USB port on the PS3, and make sure to go into the system settings on the PS3 and change the chat input setting to this device.NOTE: Since the PS3 4.00 update only the chat sounds come through the headset which is what I wanted. If you want to get full sound you will have to plug the headphones output to the back of your TV or receiver or you will have the buy the official Sony PS3 headset Wireless Stereo Headset to get full sound through a headset.

I am in LOVE with this head set, the sound quality is stunning to say the least! High's are clear, low's are booming, perfect for any PC gamer. I do have little trouble with discomfort thought, but my ears are larger than normal so it's not much to complain about. As soon as I got my package this morning, I installed the drivers, and played games all day! The surround sound is breath taking, it feels like you're actually IN the game! Everyone that I talked to through games said I no longer sounded staticy, that my voice was rich and clear. It was nice to actually be able to talk to my buddies again without someone complaining about me over powering everyone's mics!I was very pleased with this headset! This is the best headset I've owned since I started PC gaming. Definitely worth every penny!

There is an issue with these headsets that Plantronics has been working on for several months. The software appears to have issues with ASUS motherboards and/or AMD chipsets. For me, when I install the software and plug in the headset anything that has to do with audio starts locking up. The mic is unuseable and the audio is very distorted. I would steer clear of this headset if you have an ASUS boar with an AMD installed.

I purchased these on sale for $55, but even at the normal price of $80 these bad boys are worth it. Coming off of Turtle Beach Z6a, which broke due to poor design, I can say these are better in every way. The moving up from 5.1 to 7.1 was worth the jump, but on top of that these headphones are comfortable and have a quality boost over Turtle Beach. I have an above sized head and these fit perfectly on my head. Using the smallest settings they fit on my petite girlfriends head with ease.Pros -Amazing Audio7.1 to 5.1 switch on the earpieceComfortablePriceVoice picks up great on the micSturdy designCons -USB can be a little short, nothing an extension would fixMic can pick up a bit of background noise.

This really is a great headset. Cheap for the quality and sound it provides. They lasted about a month before my friends started saying that couldn't hear me on voice programs such as Mumble, Vent, and Teamspeak. They say I fade in and out when I talk, or I'll start talking and then my voice gets really quiet. Gets frustrating, but it happens. This is probably just my headset, I'll be exchanging them for the same pair soon, but get these if you want. They're really confortable, look great, and I can play for hours and hours on end with no problem. Did I mention the sound quality is simply amazing?

After viewing a bunch of reviews for the Gamecom 367 closed ear gaming headset, I was pretty excited about getting such a great deal on what seemed like a universally praised set of headphones. I was not happy with what I received to say the least.SoundThe sound on these things are absolutely horrific. Even if you are not an audiophile, you'll immediately notice that THERE IS ALMOST NO BASS. I thought it might have been a driver issue or my laptop had its audio settings set on "0" for bass, but it was neither; it was the headphones itself. At medium frequency to high frequency sounds, the headphones do a mediocre job. Yes, you CAN hear most sounds when gaming and they'll benefit you as opposed to having no headphones. But I own a cheap pair of Sony headphones (which I now still use to play counterstrike and ps3 games) that I had purchased back in 2005 and those possess better sound quality than the Gamecom 367's.ComfortAn even weaker feature to these headphones are how they feel when you put them on. The cups are locked in place and unable to rotate in ANY DIRECTION, a serious design flaw. After 20-30 minutes of wearing, my head hurt even after trying to adjust the cups numerous times. I had seen the tigerdirect review where the guy said he had worn them for 3 hours straight with no discomfort. Absolute bull. No matter how thin your head is around the temples, the cups literally CLAMP onto the sides of your head. I've gotten dizzy after wearing them after an hour. There is absolutely no way anybody can be comfortable wearing these headphones. The velvet padding is a plus, though barely helpful since they're smashed against your temples.MicrophoneThis is perhaps the only good thing about these headphone (aside from the velvet pads), but there is no way in hell it'll make the headphones worth buying. The sound quality on the microphone is great and when I teamchat with my buddies, they can hear me just fine. I even tried recording myself with the microphone on this headset and there was practically no background noise. This is a plus but the only plus.All in all, I am SHOCKED by how many people consider these headphones a decent set of headphones for its price. It has horrible sound quality and only people with thin heads can find any comfort by the deathgrip the cups have on your head.BUYER BEWARE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE HEADPHONES.

I bought this headset when it was on discount. and am very happy with it considering that i bought it for 60% less.Pros:1- Good Mic2- durable3- It got cushions on the top of the headset for your head.Cons:1- This is a gaming headset but yet the sound when connected is perfect for healing actual people talk ( using skype for example) but disappointment when hearing the game sounds. ( might be better when used AMP)2- The Ear cushions are great but they isolate your ears and might be worm inside since it blocks all air coming.Overall this is a good product only if u cant afford to get something better, if u can get more bucks, squeeze your self and get something little bit better for sound quality purpose.

I am now on my 3rd set of these headphones, their weak point is where the headphone cables meet the volume/mic adjuster, the cables can come loose given enough strain on the cord over time. But obviously, there is a reason that I continue to buy them - they are very comfortable for the money and also provide very good sound. I will try to be more careful with my 3rd set, maybe I can get these to last a couple years...

This is my 2nd Plantronics head set purchase , same model.I lost the microphone plugiin attachment to the headset cord, probably through my own carelessness.(After 2 years) The cord separated from the jack.However ,after ordering a replacement for it, the cord/jack plug had the a major tear/uncovering of the insulation, after less than 3 months light and careful use. Unfortunately my wife showed me it exactly 2 days after the Amazon return policy expired.Perhaps I've been unlucky with Plantronics (She also has a Bluetooth cellphone earpiece,which works great after 2 years, although the earpiece switch split after 6 months..though still useable)..I feel that Plantronics makes great audio products (quality of sound) but the workmanship on the more prosaic aspects of their products needs better quality control.My last Plantronics product purchase. Pity..since I rate the overall quality of the "acoustics" delivered as superior.5/17/2012: Having found further small breaks in the cable (wires showing) with minimal/no use, can not recommend this product at all. I now think that the coating of the wires themselves is defective,and breaks down/crack with time. Steer Clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't install the software at first and thought this isn't much better than my old Gamecom 377; however, I installed the software and it turns all your music into live recordings which at first sounds weird but the overall quality of the sound enhancement is amazing. The design is much more sturdy than the old 3-series which broke due to poor joints in the headset speakers as well as weak material.One problem I had with the headset is getting used to the fit. I am so used to having my headset hug my head tightly but this headset is a less constrictive which is a very big plus. The cushions are also much smaller which reduces the bulk. The other negative is that this headset is USB only.Overall I would say this was worth the money. At $68 dollars this is a great buy.

I had bought this for my boyfriend's birthday and he fell in love with it.Then I listened to it and told he had to buy his own because of how amazing the sound quality was.The ears are super comfy and he does have a big head. He says that there is no irritation from wearing them for hours and the mic is much better than his computer.It does pick up some, but not as much as his laptop did.We love it!

Though, at the beginning, it seems to have way too much treble and be a bit too tight on your head, this headset turns out to be very good for the price. The quality of the microphone is surprisingly good compared to various other headsets with double the price. Though the sound quality seems semi-lacking at the beginning, you quickly get used to it and immersed in its comfortable design while still having the ability to hear anything important going on around you. That may be a setback as well as the fact that people around you can hear what you're listening to. But overall, for its cheap price and comfortable design, if you don't have around $50 to get a nice surround sound headset, this is a very good headset to buy.

These are some very well made headphones. I use them with my macbook pro and they sounded great.Pros:Sturdy construction, built to last.Very comfortable top padding and ear padding. Very plush!USB! Yay, i really get tired of the non usb headsets. These worked right off, no problems.Good audio quality.Good placement of mute button on headset, ditto with volume controls. No fumbling for the cord.Cons:Heavy, really heavy. I plan to use these for conference calls that can last several hours. I don't know if I can wear these that long.There seem to be a LOT of audio bleed out thru the cans. My wife can hear everything I am listening to as if I had my speakers on. Odd (and yes I checked my speakers were not on, you can just really hear these even at a medium volume).I wish the mute button turned on a light of something, with the mute button on the headset you don't know if its on or off without remembering which position is which. A nice red light on the speaker boom would have been awesome.The mic also picks up a ton of noise. It picks up my ceiling fan very well. I'd prefer a little more filtering.

The gamecom 367 is an okay headset to use if its going to be your first headset. The price was under $30 dollars when i bought it. I bought it because i was currently using the Gamecom 1 made by plantronics and i loved it. So i decided to go with another gamecom headset. This headset comes with a undestructable plastic cover that took me about 20 minutes to open to use my headset. It actually broke one of my scissors handles. The headset it self looked alright, the style was cool. But when i held it with my hands, it felt VERY flimsy. I was scared to put it on my head because i was so scared it would break. The headset fits on your head tight and the headset goes over your ears so you can only hear them. I think if you wear these headsets more than 3 hours it will probably be uncomfortable. But for 30 dollars plus 8 dollar shipping it aint bad. The sound quality is very good, but its too good. It is too clear, but it gives you surround sound. These headphones barely have bass unless you crank up the volume on max. I wouldnt recommend these headphones for music, ONLY gaming.But all in all, i would rather spend $30 more dollars for a better headset than these. I really dont know why these headphones have very good ratings.

I received my 780 a week ago. The 7.1 Surround Sound is a Beast! The Mic is Excellent. Nuff said. The Stereo Sound is very good. I have to warn you that this headset LEAKS sound a lot! People in the room can hear what you're listening to. The comfort is okay, nothing much to say. I highly recommend this headphone to everyone. Okay in my opinion these are probably the best headphones i have EVER worn. I have had a LOT of headphones. There very comfortable i wore them for around 12 hours yesterday and had 0 discomfort. There's nothing i can see wrong with them the cord is strong. The pads are very soft and thick. There durable. And the mic is outstanding! Yes the do pic up some background noise but compared to a 8 dollar mic this ones incredible. I love the surround sound! For example when i'm playing a Shooting Game and i hear gun firing i know exactly where to look. And when someone throws a grenade i know exactly where it is! The sound is incredible for Music. Gaming. And movies! Like i said i cant really find anything wrong with these headphones except the material the padding is made of does pic up lint and hair but other than that i cant find anything wrong. Hopefully this helped because these headphones are definitely worth the price.

These head phones are truly amazing. The sound quality and the surround sound is breathtaking. I am a gamer and I heard sounds I never heard before. It sounded like I was actually in a movie theater. They fit pretty well, not too tight and fit over the entire ear. The soft suede cushions over the ear makes headphone wearing very painless. If you want some top headphones get the Gamecom 7.1 Because I love them :D

Loved the headset. These were my first and I'm very satisfied. I've been using them for google voice, music, and gaming. Very comfortable, great mic, and awesome 7.1 surround sound. Not very noise cancelling but that's if they yell or are right next to you. Sometimes I don't hear my brother in the room. The best part very affordable. One thing I want to say, I have a ASUS G73SW and the headset works but the surround sound does not work on one of my usb. If this happens to you try other usb entries.

I payed $23 dollars for this, for what I thought was going to be a placeholder until I felt as if I wanted a better pair. But when these arrived, I was shocked. They sound even better on my PC then my old Sharkoons. I could only find a few faults for the whole thing. The big one is the volume. This headphone can get really loud on the PC, but on my PS3, its seems a little lacking. Also, you have to buy some cables so it will work on the PS3. What I have are some RCA cables to 3.5mm that piggyback on the RCA Cables, then let let you plug in any 3.5mm. Also, the cable that is a little short when on my PS3, but a simple extension cable will fix that problem. All in all, you should just get these. They are great for the price.
