When I ordered the GameCom 367 headset, I was looking for headphones that were inexpensive but still good quality. I'm a casual gamer, so I also wanted a built in mic. These GameComs fit my needs excellently. The sound is very good, although the bass is a tad weak, and the mic picks up my voice accurately with very little background noise. The pads are very soft and much more comfortable than the fake leather that I've seen on other headsets. Even though they are closed-ear headphones, they don't muffle sound hardly at all unless the headphones are actually producing sound. Once the sound starts up, though, you can barely hear anything else unless the outside noise is very loud, which is perfect for me. However, I do have one problem. I have an average sized head, but these headphones pinch my head very tightly. I've seen other reviewers who say that they have large heads and this headset doesn't bother them, however, I think this is because when the headset is NOT stretched out to fit a larger head, all the pressure from the "headband" goes towards the lower part of the heaphones, right above my jaw. It's not horrible, but I've gotten headaches from prolonged use. A little adjusting of how the GameCom's sit on my head helps, but never quite fixes the problem. I bet if my head was bigger, it would bend the headphones apart a little more and even out the pressure. So in summary, this headset is a great bargain as long as you don't mind them being tight.EDIT:Now that I've been using these for about a year now, I can look back and see that after a month of "breaking them in" they became much more comfortable to use. Now they are much less tight, and I use them non-stop.

These is the finest headset I have had, ideal for gaming or listening to music. The extra thick cord is cat-proof (so far). No issue with installation or use.I now need to order a second pair. My wife keeps stealing mine.

There is an issue with this headset and playing Battlefield 3. The audio will reverse itself everytime a new map is loaded. So the sounds that are suppose to come out of your left ear you end up hearing on the right ear and vice versa. Then when the map is over and loads a new round, the audio reverts back. This is very annoying and puts you at a great disadvantage in the game when you cannot keep track of what direction the enemy is. There is an open thread about this right now on their web site. [...]So if you are a gamer, I would recommend holding off on this headset until this issue is resolved.

I have this headset for a while already and like it a lot. The sound quality and the noise reduction are excellent although my son told me that I look in this headset as a space traveler. The ear cushion is very comfortable for extended hours use.

This unit was Dead On Arrival. Plugged it in and didn't register. Tried it on 2 other desktops and 1 laptop and still wasn't registering.After fiddling with it the "Headphones" picture showed up so I was hoping it would work. The sound that came out was pure static and white noise with and without the 7.1 activated.Contacted Plantronics, they are shipping me a replacement one in 3 days (hopefully) so we will see.3 stars for quick and helpful technical support.1 star for having to wait a total for 11 to just get a set of headphones when I should have went to a local store.

They become uncomfortable after extended wear, but they deliver on high-quality sound. Look nice, feel sturdy. I use mostly for gaming but they work equally as well with music. I recommend.

I have to say this product is great! I love it and I think it is a fantastic purchase. Plantronics really seems to have it figured out when it comes to speech recognition. I use this product with Dragon Naturally Speaking. The level of accuracy I was able to achieve after 3 training sessions is about the same level I achieved after 10 training sessions with the microphone which came with Naturally Speaking. Unlike the Dragon microphone it is far less sensitive to microphone position even though optimal positioning does help (corner of mouth, slight above upper lip -- in my case). I found with the Dragon microphone that you had to tweak the position quite a bit and because the boom was so flexible it hardly stayed in place where as this one does, especially since the length is just right for reaching the corner of your mouth. And what is great is that because the boom-length is just right, once you twist the boom into the position that works for you, you don't have to adjust it for storage. So you only ever have to rotate it into place when you are ready to use it.I find that the microphone picks up really well and I almost only get speech recognition errors when I (admittedly) pronounce the word phonetically incorrect. I am learning through use of speech recognition that I do run my words into each other sometimes. But, I am still able to dictate much faster than with the Dragon microphone and unlike the Dragon microphone there are only a handful of words that when repeated by themselves are still not picked up properly by the microphone. The other way in which this microphone is much better than the dragon microphone is that it doesn't pick up stray sounds as words -- the way the dragon microphone does.You can tell the sound quality is much, different. Because when you do a playback, the voice recording is much, much better than with the Dragon microphone (and my voice is deeper than most so this helps :o). Clearly the USB connection makes a big difference in cutting down the noise. The first time you startup Windows wearing the headset you will be amazed at the clarity of sound which comes out of it as compared to other headphones. The bass is not the greatest, especially compared to ear buds. But I mainly listen to Jazz and instruments like guitars and saxophones sound fantastic through the headphones.It is extremely comfortable -- almost like wearing nothing, (while doing initial training I wore it for eight hours with a few 15 minute breaks and it was almost like I had nothing on my head). This is due to the swivel mounting of the headphones. This is markedly different from the dragon headset. Every time I used it, the Temple of my ear would hurt quite a bit after two or so hours of use.But I must agree with a few little quibbles made by other reviewers. In making the headset comfortable, Plantronics seems to have made it a little bit too loose. Somehow it stays in place though, even if you shake your head fairly vigorously. And the cord does seem a little bit flimsy. I worry a little bit about that in terms of the longevity of the headphone, but then I tend to treat my cords very well. As someone else also said, especially with the foldable design, a carrying case would really be nice.So anyway, here's the proof of the pudding. I wrote this review three days after receiving the microphone and doing about 10 training sessions (plus training some specific words since I pronounce them differently). I used Dragon to write this review. I've corrected about 10 spelling errors. And here's the kicker -- I'm from Jamaica so my accent and pronunciations are much different from the North American accent. This microphone is great I love it so much I think I might get a spare!

I love these headphones and I have been having these for quite a while now. For a 7.1 headset its quite affordable.So far it hasn't broke on me and its quite durable and storage friendly due to its folding cap.the sounds are crispy clear.the only con i can say is that it doesn't cancel noise that much.still, these headphones are worth getting.

A bit pricy but this headset makes it as if I didn't even buy it for gaming.The quality of music is AMAZING. Made it feel like Beats by Dre on steroids. The bass will DROP HARD during any type of song your into it. I mainly listen to Dubstep and these things SATISFY TO THE EXTREME.Not to mention how when talking on Skype friends tell me it sounds like I'm using a Studio Microphone it's quite amazing.$70, worth it.

I bought these along with multiple other headsets to try out. These were ok, but I did receive some complaints from my call participants about voice quality. I ended up going with the KOSS SB49 because they got the best reviews from my participants and I found them very comfortable.

I've used only plantronics brand headphones for the last 8 or 9 years. The plantronics headphones always impressed me with sound quality but they never really lasted a long time because they broke, the wires cracked, etc...These seem to be built like a tank. The wiring is easily 2x as thich as my other plantronics headphones and they are more comfortable than any headphones I've ever owned.

I was looking for something to play games with on PC while be able to chat with my friends yet still keep sound quality good and relatively affordable. These tings are very comfortable with no sweat around the ears and you barely notice they are on. The switch to mute the mic comes in very useful and the volume control know is sturdy and comes in useful. I use these a lot and they have been dropped several times and still perform like new. amazingly happy with them. crisp sound for music also

I was very excited to upgrade from a previous Plantronics headset as I loved the one I had.Sound quality is good to average, bass is pretty weak.Comfort is definitely NOT as described, it is very very tight on your head even if stretched a little.The openings are not nearly as wide as previous models which I think is bad and uncomfortable.The microphone is somewhat iffy, 99% of the time it works great and picks up awesome...others....it picks up EVERYTHING even tho it claims noise canceling. <--- FALSE!Over all design and usability is great, strong product and well built.The uncomfortable "squeeze" of my ears and the lack of decent bass almost made me return them but I decided to keep them and overall am still mostly happy but am considering switching to A40's

Very happy with the install. Sound is wonderful. With Ubuntu 12.04, I just plugged in USB and went into System Tools, System Settings, clicked on Sound and changed output device to "Plantronics GameCon 780 Analog Stereo". Worked like a charm. You may need to adjust the application sound output so your Rhythmbox isn't blaring and you can adjust down to a whisper. Only Ubuntu drawback is the controls on the operating system don't adjust the sound. Instead, you need to rely on the volume control on the headset. Padding on the headset is comfortable. Plan to use this not just for games but for movies and music.

I'm an avid online gamer, battelfield2, 3 and BFBC2, MW3, Black ops etc. Along with over 2000 songs in my Itunes, this headset has the best sound quality I've ever experienced across the board. Great 7.1, great bass (look up "woofer test" on Itunes) Just WOW! It's better than the Beats Tech on my android by ten times....You'd be mistaken to purchase any other head set.....Steven,San Antonio

I bought this headset for a way cheaper price at $20. It was the exact same product. It does not last you for long. It had only lasted me for a few months when other at the price this one is at at least minimum last me 1 year. Yes it may be comfortable but i really don't think you get the best quality of sound from it.

If you be looking at this Headset this one is a fine buy. Comfortable stays in place, the sound is full and strong. I have had this a short time they look well built should be durable. I have bought other headsets at cheaper prices. Over time I seem to wreck them, so I spent on Plantronics Gamecom 780 in hopes that this is the last headset I need buy.

Its all the same as mentioned by other users. The sound uniqueness is awsome. The first song I heard on this is Right in two:tooland it felt so good :). It also delivers for CS 1.6I can easily recommend these headset for anyone who is gamer or music fanatic.

I understand that most folks like this headset because it sounds great for the price. But the headphones "leak" audio even when they are snug around the ear, and the sensitive microphone picks that up -- kind of like an echo. I had hoped to use them for producing live and recorded webinars. I expected that a decent gaming headset would insulate much of the noise generated by games because the earpieces are well padded to eliminate distractions (both incoming and outgoing!). Not true with these, so I'm returning them.

WOW !!! This headset is just AWESOME !!! I didn't expected to be that good, with a deep, clear sound and a sensible microphone. Cups size are very good, they are staying very comfortable on my ears. Maybe a little to tight, but I will not spend my whole day with them on my head anyway. I'm not a gamer but I needed a good microphone for Skype calls and on the same time an excellent music headset. Considering a well build, high sound quality and at this low price it's one of the best acquisitions I made so far. Well done Plantronics!

I'm going to stick with comparing apples to apples and not compare these headphones to any 250. or 300. pair I've tried. I would say in just a few words: these are one of the best headphones I've tried for under 100. And these are way under, so that's impressive.I have a hearing issue that causes me to redirect my focus to sounds intruding from a direction other than where I need to be focusing. Okay, maybe it's a brain issue, but let's don't go there. So it's very important for a headset to filter out room noise. These do an eh job of that. They are also fairly heavy and I can imagine some resulting discomfort after long periods of use.But having said that, I'd say those are the only cons I have encountered. Great sound, which makes up for a lot of negative, and especially at the amazing price.

I have to admit that this product remained on my wish list for the better part of 6 months maybe even longer. Alas I made up my mind and bought these PlainTronics GameCom 367s along with some other timely purchases, (noted a new laptop).First off i'll tell what you need to hear. The sound quality reviewed by a non audiophile like myself who would probably be content punching into my ear holes a cheap pair of orange foam ear plugs connected to a string and have a mute hum me a song until I was either deaf or dead. In other words I'm most certainly not an "audiophile" and could not possibly offer a bullet point review on the minutia of and specifics on headsets. What I can offer however and tell you is how much I paid for these puppies and how much I do like them.My account saw the mear amount of no more than $24.03 taken from me in exchange for these puppies. Elsewheres these go for more than double what I forked over in US tender. I honestly could not be more proud of myself for making such a purchase. CRACK! Hear that? That was the sound of me breaking my own arm by padding myself on back for making such a wise decision. I genuinely like these things. They sound great, feel comfortable, the noise cancelling is not as impressive but otherwise. If you're a student who is low on funds and in need of a decent pair of earmuffs with which to listen to some serious tunage and simultaneously mask those ungodly noises being produced by your flat mate and his girlfriend on the otherside of the dorm. Then you go right ahead and charge your daddy's Master Card and tell him Skuller sent ya and you're welcome.

Just got mine today and WOW. I've sworn by good speaker systems for a while because all the good headsets I've ever tried were prohibitively expensive, and anything cheaper wasn't all that great.These are AMAZING for the price. No, it's not true surround like some of the $250+ options out there, but it sounds absolutely wonderful for both music and games and the microphone is very high quality. Highly recommended.

I've owned these for a month or two now and am very happy with them. They are among the most comfortable over-ear headphones I have ever used. The combination of the lightweight head strap and plush ear pads make the headset easy to wear for long periods of time. Also, the ear cups are deep enough to not stress or strain your ears, they just sit snugly on your head and after awhile you forget they are there.Another of my favorite things is that the headset is very lightweight, yet doesn't feel flimsy. They feel really solid and durable, not cheap like you would expect from a headset this light.The setup software was easy to use, and once the drivers are installed the headset can "plug and play" whenever needed. Overall, an excellent set of gaming headphones. I'd rank the sound quality at a 4/5 and the comfort/durability solid 5/5.

I don't know how many headphones I've been through. I have a big head, big ears, and I wear glasses. Headphones always hurt my ears from pressing them into my glasses and give me headaches from being too tight. The way these are designed, they don't actually touch your ear -- they cup it, so there is no pressure at all. And yet, they stay on just fine! It boggles the mind. I love these headphones so much. I just finished playing 3 hours of Starcraft with them. The sound and mic are great, and they are perfectly comfortable. They feel very sturdy, even the cord. I have nothing bad to say at all about these, they are the headphones I have been looking for forever. Highly recommended for the serious gamer.

Just received these headphones last night and so far have been very happy with the purchase. The sound quality is really good, nice bass, and good noise cancellation effect since your ears are full covered and wrapped in velvet. You feel like your ears are going first class with this one. The microphone is top notch as well and I'll be heard loud and clear from here on out. Can't go wrong with this set.

The sound is not amazing. I had tritton ax pro for a while and these sound terrible compared to those. But I guess I got what I paid for.If you making a switch from a decent expensive headset then this is definitely not the way to go.Comfort level on these really sucks. The headband is really tight (I have an average sized head and ears...) and the earcups push against your ear.

I have had these headphones for four days and have been very impressed with them. I have a rather large head so I was a little worried about the headphones hurting. So far I find them to be very comfortable. The sound quality is outstanding and the Mike is excellent. I am dictating this review with my headphones now. So as you can see dictation with Dragon speak is very good. I would definitely recommend these headphones and would definitely purchase them again.

These just came in today, Im a big gamer and spend alot of time in vent so the added mic feature is really nice I don't have to use my laptops built in mic that makes me sound all distorted and picks up a ton of ambient noise. Overall quality is great they seem very sturdy the mic is a bit delicate but shouldn't be a problem as long as you retract it everytime you put it away. Only downside for these is the cloth material that sits on your head and ears, after about 30 minutes my ears are getting pretty hot and the fabric padding on the top of the band kind of messes my hair up and makes. Obviously those aren't any major cons and I would recommend this item to anyone for the price of 20 dollars it a steal

I love these headphones. Very good definition, loud as hell, and super comfy. Legitimately the only headphones that I can fall asleep wearing. I have a large head, though, and I have to set it to the smallest size, so if you have a smaller head you might want to look at something else. I'm also used to the mic being on the other side, but it wasn't a big deal once I adjusted.

I was hesitant on buying this product. The price seem to good to be true. Other items with this quality go for much higher prices in stores. I was shocked. Well I read other reviews and saw how amazing of a product it was and decided to give it a chance and get it. It was at an amazing price and was shipped and arrived in very short amount of time.Well after trying it out playing some high quality dubstep music and this was phenomenal. The headset fits perfectly, a little tight being brand new, but it will work in time. The quality is 100% beyond what was expected.Overall, if you can find this product brand new at a good price is well recommended. I encourage you fellow gamer, purchase this product. It is amazing.Pros: comfortable, wide open full covering ears, ease of use, great sound quality, over all amazing.Based on another review:Cons:Need an amp to realize full potentialDesign issues with micCan be quite warm after long periodsDoes not block out all external noise (bad for noisy environments)

Works well, good sound both in and out. Some static at high volume when mic is turned on. Nice seal arount ears, really blocks outside noise. Volume control does not have a clip. Mic is not removable.

Sound quality is good, excellent value. However the mic has a loud buzz. I was looking for a headset to do voice recordings and the low buzz is horrible. I had to spend more to eliminate the problem.

780 is a amazing product for the price point sound quality is great, 7.1 simulation is o.k. mic sound quality on the receiving end is great as will cant go wrong with this headset if you are on a budget. the only thing is the bass isn't as loud or good as i like but that's me i like the BIG BOOMS!

This product was not really what I expected. Since I had to virtually destroy the packaging to open it, I doubt I'm able to return it.All the described features are there and it works as advertised. It does not feel comfortable and the way the mic extends from the headset is plain weird. The controls take quite a bit of fumbling to use, if you're not looking. As for the rest, I can't put my finger on it but this just feels clunky to use and super cheap. This will probably end up serving as a good backup to when my main headset fails (which I'm shopping around for right now.)With that said, the audio quality is good.Verdict: I'm an idiot and expected way too much. Now I am stuck with flushing $16 down the toilet.
