Bought these to play GW2. The mic is very sensitive (actually had to fiddle with mumble settings so i was only heard when I wanted to be). The headphones are rather large and remind me a little of a nascar headset (not that I care when I'm in my office).HOWEVER. The comfort is amazing and the sound quality is awesome. I hear voices coming from the right as the characters are to the right of me in the game. The incoming voice level is perfect to hear the game, hear yourself, and hear others. The best feature of this product is the easy to use "mute mic" option on the side. It allows me to quickly mute myself if my dog decides to go bonkers so others don't get a blast from my mic. Fantastic product. I have already recommended it to 2 others.

Bought this for my wife and she seems to love it.Though, keep in mind if you have larger ears or a bigger head, don't plan on wearing this for hours at a time. It can catch you right behind your jaw line and end up being a huge pain to wear. It also remembers its volume, so if one person wears it at a certain volume and you plug it into another pc, plan on turning your PC volume down to 4, it is that loud.My opinion: Don't buy it if you have larger ears, a big jaw line, or larger head; it will hurt after an hour of wearing it. Female gamers or those of you with normal sized heads; go for it. Great sound, great mic; just don't plan on sharing it.

Excellent value proposition for chat/conference headset for workers who do GoToMeeting, WebEx, Skype, Google+ Hangouts, etc on a regular basis. I bought a USB headset because I knew that my next laptop will likely be a Retina MacBook Pro and I don't want to buy an adapter to use my old headset with a new laptop.Pros:- loud- deep bass- excellent mic clarity- comfy earcups and head bandCons:- earcup and headband material gathers lint- loud (at their lowest setting they're barely what I'd consider a comfortable listening level)I can't comment on the "7.1" surround audio yet because I haven't used them with any games. But I find it hard to believe that 2 40mm drivers can successfully emulate 7.1 surround audio.

I have had two other Plantronics GameCom headsets in the past. The GameCom 377 & 777. They both broke due to stress fractures in the plastic. I decided to never buy a GameCom headset again, but once I saw the new design it seemed to fix those issues and two months later they are holding up beautifully. I bought them with Amazon Prime and they were shipped next day for only $5.When I bough them I was in a hurry because Counter-Strike: GO was releasing in a couple days and I really needed a new headset. When I got in my first match on CSGO the surround sound was amazing. I could hear things in the game I could never hear before with stereo sound. I have also used them in Skyrim, Borderlands 2 & Dishonored and they all sounds amazing. They are very comfortable. I sometimes forget I have them on. The sound is very crisp and clear while listing to music on or watching videos... and the lows are pretty good for a headset.They were priced a little high compared to what I was wanting to spend on a headset, but after reading the reviews I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. After using them I now believe these are under-priced. You cannot go wrong with this headset.

Needed a headset and mic for Skype and this one fills the need. Very surprised at the quality of the sound and the amount of background noise that is canceled out. The mic does a great job too based on responses from those on Skype. These don't have the old fashioned or cheap foam ear pads but more of a faux leather or soft plether covering. This allows for easy cleaning and are soft on the ears. Fits different head sizes and are comfortable to wear. My workplace ended up buying 5-6 pair for use with training and online video conferences. Good sound quality, comfortable and easy to clean or sanitize for multiple users.

I thinks these headphones have good sound quality for the money. I had a little trouble with static but it may have been more to do with the game Cyrsis 2. I used it on Left for Dead 2 and the Voice quality was much better. That is the only 2 games I have tried it on so far. So far I am happy with the comfort although they get a little hot after wearing them for and hour but the nice feature of the speaker swivel allows for and ear breather. I would get these if you like to listen to music whole you game. It does the job. Set up was easy.

So to keep this clear and concise: (owned the product for roughly 5 months)- $16 and free shipping for a headset is a darn good deal!- Unless your planning on LONG gaming/use sessions, the headset is normally very comfortable. Some discomfort experienced on 6+ hours, too be expected.- Overall Aesthetics are great. Love the industrial design, hard edges, everything has a bit of swivel or leeway to adjust to your head.- Build quality is good, but not exceptional. No problems here, but its easy to note the fairly standard plastic adjustment band etc.- Mic quality is very good. No problems to be found.- In-line controls are very convenient- Cable is a very good length for me.Best:- Sound quality is Suprisingly Good!!, even on music! Rich bass, ok highs and mids. It doesn't really compare to my headphones, but it comes close.Worst:- Sound isolation however is poor. It does not block out much surrounding noise at all. It also 'leaks' sound, in that everyone around you can hear what your listening to.

First off this is USB not 3.5" as I had thought. Just wanted to reinforce this, for any other careless people like me. Turned out ok, I plugged this in and it works fine on my USB 2.0 port Windows 7 without having installed anything. It does come with an install disk but I haven't used it yet.I didn't buy it for surround sound, just wanted a good LOUD headset (I am hearing impaired.) The cheaper headsets the volume is too low, this one is very good volume and overcomes my hearing problem.I'm no audiophile but to my ears, music and other audio is nice and crisp.Very comfortable (I have a big head.) Cables are thick, good build quality.The only con is $60 was more than I wanted to spend on a headset, but I guess at this level of quality you get what you pay for.

Has 7.1 surround and a toggle switch for it, the mic itself isnt too flexible, but the sensitivity is perfect, i don't have to yell into the mic!The headset is also very comfortable and light weight.The only complaint I have is the packaging, it was shipped in a plantronics box and included a few booklets and a driver CD. The headset was strapped down in the box by a piece of cling wrap, didnt seem too secure, BUT the headset was still fine.As for Plantronics, you guys make great products and you should feel confident about them, please box them a bit better!

Pros:-Good Sound-Simple Controls-Easy to Setup-Wonderful MicCons:-Could be more Comfy-Cable isn't braided-Plugs in USB *negates sound card on computer*Other Thoughts:Over all these things are good. My only real complaint is my ears hurt after wearing these. The sound cups are not deep enough so my ears are pressed into the headphones and this causes my issue of discomfort. I do hear some distortion while I listen to music, but while gaming I have yet to notice any problems with sound. All the "Cons" I listed above I honestly had to give some thoughts on what I believe could use some improvements. At its core though, these work amazingly well and have served my needs. Just need to add a little more padding to keep these off my ears and I'm good to go.

Using amazon prime I received this product in two days, which was awesome! Anyways, this product is amazing so far. The surround sound is very good, but can sound very artificial at times. For example, while playing GTA San Andreas, the characters sound like they are talking into a concert hall or something, it's kind of weird. But it's not optimized for everything. The build quality is excellent. Contrary to other reviewers, I feel like they are very solid and are very comfortable. I've been wearing them for 4 hours straight and feel no discomfort whatsoever. Music sounds great in surround sound. Of course it's not 100% true surround sound, but who cares? For $57, this is a product that cannot be beaten. Although sometimes when I am listening to something, the change in volume can be very drastic, for example a Skype call on full volume is softer than a song in Spotify that is also on full volume. The microphone is amazing, my friends say that I sound clearer than when using my Blue Snowball microphone, which is very good as well. The microphone boom slides and doesn't click when coming down which I think is much nicer. On my turtle beach dpx21's, the mic clicked downward which was annoying while playing. The extra cushioning on the headphones makes for a great experience. I would recommend these to anyone that is looking to purchase a new pc gaming headset!

I was looking at surround-sound headphones, and when these came up they seemed to good to be true: under $60 high quality 7.1 surround-sound headset, but the other reviews seemed to be great, so I gave them a shot, and they're brilliant! Very comfortable and entirely surround my ears without irritating them. The sound is immersive and great quality. The built-in mic is easy to use, unobtrusive and delivers voice very clearly. Simply the best buy I could hope for. I'd recommend them to any friend who wants a great headset for their PC.

First off, I'm not using these for gaming. I often give Webinars and also, I use Skype to make phone calls because it has better quality than cellular when I'm on my desktop computer. Typically, I'll wear them for about one to two hours and at least for this duration, they are not too uncomfortable. The sound quality is great coming out of the microphone which is of particular importance to me. Setup was a little fussy as I also have line-out speakers and so there is some confusion on setting up the mix console. The volume control on the headphones doesn't exactly work but there is a pretty simple workaround on the mix console.

Got this headset after reading all the glowing reviews and thought it was one of those "diamonds in the rough."This MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE...Sound is OK...the DOLBY is very "echoey"...because it is "virtual" surround sound, sound seems artificial.What killed the deal was the discomfort in less than an hour of use...also the ear cups never "fit" correctly. Seemed like I needed to adjust the cups, but couldn't really get that proper "fit."Never tested the microphone.Returning to AMAZON after two days of use.

I hate to have given this a negative review, but here's a brief one.Note that I am a complete audiophile, and bought this mainly for the mic.Pros-Very comfortable (for the most part)-Build quality seems pretty good-Looks pretty goodCons-Sound is mediocre for my taste, I could get this sound from a $30 pair of Skullcandy's (guess that's what I expect)-Features suck. Sorry, they're just bad. Their method of '5.1 surround' the audio is literally just adding huge amounts of reverb to everything the headphone picks up-Microphone is utter crap. It's almost as bad as my laptop mic. It distorts heavily if your voice isn't basically whispering.-No mic monitor. Personal taste.-Aside from the temporary comfort, after a while it seems to be getting tight. Especially if you wear glassesIn the end I ended up taking these back. I have a pair of Turtle Beach X11 and they FAR outwin these.

These sound amazing! Love them. Bass on them hits great lows which was something I was concerned about. The base is not overpowering but is very clear. Only thing that could be improved upon is: 1. Make the online software easier to find. It didn't take me that long but Plantronics web site is confusing, and 2. Label which is left and right speaker (eventually found out that the one with the mic is left)(. These are very comfortable and sound great. I haven't used the mic as I bought these only for the surround sound. Amazing with movies and games, and I would highly recommend. As a side note I had a problem with them at first. I contacted customer care at plantronics and they were very helpful and polite. They were able to help me determine that the problem was a bad usb port on my motherboard. I am very happy with my purchase and will buy Plantronics again.

So I bought these headphones a while back when they were around $20. I guess a new version came out or something, not sure fully... But anyways, to describe them when they first arrived, I didn't think to much of them being plastic and having the negative remarks on build quality, although after wearing them in, I found quality improved quite a lot. From here I began tampering with the equalizer setting in I-tunes because I love a nice sounding headset, and these are not default for music at all. While some people said that buying an amp helped them out a lot, I noticed I could get the same sound just by tweaking frequencies. As it turns out, these headphones aren't made so well for low bass frequencies. After all this, the sound is quite more immersive, and I am very happy with the headphones for the cash I spent. :)Equalizer: 32+2,64+1,125+1.1/3,250+2/3,500=0,1k=0,2k=0,4k+1/2,8k+1,16k+1.1/3Note: Preamp is set to -1, while all sets are rounded to thirds for specs and smoothing technicalities.=Pros and Cons=-Pros: Comfort, sound quality, 3D sounds, and the mic. Very clear mic, along with folding in. (Btw, I haven't noticed any wear on it yet.)-Cons: Not the best build quality; watch the bass. They take a while to ware in. (Around 5 hours of medium use, and 10-15 hours hard use.) (Just don't take it too hard on bass or the speakers will begin to rattle, if you want a base headphone go buy some Beats.)All and all I would definitely recommend these to a friend. They're worth the $50-$60, but I'd suggest waiting for a sale.

Ok, i wear glasses, first concern when buying headphones to play PC games. Read all the reviews i could find at the time regarding this issue... and well... They Lied! After an hour of playing my head starts to feel the pinch of my glass under the headphones which leads me to remove and adjust ever 15 minutes or so.Next is the mic does not flip all the way around, so you will always have the mick on the left.Also you can't turn the headphones the right way to open them up on your shoulder, the turn the opposite way you think they should... weird.For the price... ok, not great, but ok.. the sound is good, and the mic is clear to other people, but the comfort is in question.... make sure to look at video reviews on line first!

This headset is absolutely phenomenal for the price that you can get it at! I recently bought this headset and the sound is great the microphone is great and the it's extremely comfortable. Obviously this is not going to be as nice as a more expensive headset but if your looking for a nice gaming headset or one just for music that you don't want to spend a fortune on this is the headset for you!Pros - Comfortable, Good Quality Sound, Good Microphone, and Cheap :D!Cons - None that I can think other than it's not the best looking headset in my opinion.

Just bought this piece of junk hardware yesterday and ready to return it tomorrow. Where to begin. The fundamentals - accuracy of voice recognition. It is beyond poor. My in built laptop mic works 10 times better. The boom has been confined to a motion path that never allows it to be optimally positioned. As soon as I hooked up the headset, Netflix stopped working. It interferes with the Wifi adaptor for some reason. Incredibly complicated settings - Realtek sound system is partly to blame. Most importantly, it does not work at studio quality as it claims. Had to reduce the setting to DVD quality. The microphone jack is completely useless. It does not slide in smoothly. Take my word and go for something more expensive. I dictated this entire review on my laptop microphone.

I bought this in april and it didnt even last till sep. I sit here reading reviews and can only assume other commented before theirs had time to break. They are EXTREMELY tight to wear, but you can handle it. They are made of really cheap and noisy plastic, which you can look past. They don't extend very far, but again you can handle it. All these things I looked past, but then they just stopped working. I was pretty much in shock being as they cost close to 100 dollars, which makes no sense because you can but a 20 buck pair that feel, sound and fit better. If you are looking into buying one, I would say pass, from what I read online they ALL seem to break. It only has good reviews because people can't wait past the day they open to box to review. Be WARNED

Pros:It's a sturdy build, personally I like the design and on-ear volume control. It's has a little bit of weight to it, but ultimately you wont notice when it's resting on your head. You do have to adjust the volume control on the headphones and the pc, but you'd have to do that every set anyway.Sound quality is pretty good after a few adjustments.Cons:The ears get a little warm after a few hours, I have larger ears, so I have to adjust a little bit before I start, and even then it's a little squeezed around the top.Occasionally it'll get static-y and I have yet to determine if that is the headphone or the PC as I haven't been able to reproduce the error. It's most likely the headphones, but again I haven't been able to reproduce it.Would recommend if under $80, if over this price, there may be some good alternatives around.

Ok, so I've had this headset for over a week now and I can say I absolutely love them, I use them mostly for Skype or Raidcall while playing League Of Legends with my friends online, and they say it's a great improvement over the old cheap headset I owned. They're pretty comfy too, last time I wore them for 5 hours straight and had no complaints at all, you get to feel the weight but they werent tiresome at all, and thank God this headset doesnt crush my glasses into my temples. As for the 7.1 surround sound, well it exceeds expectations considering is virtual. The main advantage is the usb conexion because it eliminates all the buzz and hum you can get when pluggin to the audio and microphone jacks on your PC, so yeah, sound is clear and sharp. I can fairly say this headset is just right for the price, Im pretty sure there are better headsets out there that can be apreciated by professionals in the sound industry, but for people like me this is it.I'd defintely recommend them to a friend, in fact I'd buy a couple for my team on LoL if I had the cash...perhaps that way we wouldnt get slaughtered all the time =)

I love these headphones. I use them for gaming and love the surround sound and the depth of sound. I often have to check and see that there is no sound coming from my external speakers because the sound is so rich and the surround sound works perfectly, it sometimes sounds like the speakers are still on. In my opinion the quality can't be beat for the price.I've had them 2 months now and so far no issues. The only things I would want different would be a braided cord instead of the molded plastic cord they come with and I would make the pads slightly larger as my ears are on the larger side. They are comfortable for an hour or two, but if I were to use them for longer, they would get uncomfortable. They have good padding, it's just the size is just a tad small for my ear.

I can't really find anywhere else that sells them this cheap. When I first bought these I went straight to Battlefield 3 to test them out....and man was I blown away. Every shot, every rocket, every grenade sounded as I was there fighting.I only had one complaint, but it is just really for me. I have medium length hair and if I don't push the hair back from over my ears, when I put the headphones on they push my hair into my ear and I can't stand it. But that is it, everything else is well worth what I paid for.

Got them in three days after shipping and love them, the padding is super soft. i have a large head and can wear them without moving the cuffs down at all. they sound amazing too, i was playing borderlands and the explosion sounds were great, comparing the distances of the explosions with the dolby digital and without was astoundingly cool, without they all sounded super loud no matter how far away, but with the dolby on you could head wear the bass picked up and in the distance it was a really awesome muffled explosion. the cord could be a little longer, but i sit pretty far away from my pc. the software that comes with them is really simplistic, its just an on off switch pretty much. the volume toggle is really nice and works well. the mic works very very well with skype and peaple can hear you easily and clearly. the mic is also easy to move but stiff enough to stay where you put it. if you have ragher large ears like i have (with my large head) you can simply tilt the headset at a slight angle so it makes a diamond shape over your ears instead of a square. the mic on/off switch works great and is very easy to reach. i highly recamend these if you are wanting a good comfortable pc headset.

Hey,Great mic great sound only problem is the cord is alittle short for my taste (6.5 feet) So if that isn't enough length for you - you should consider another headset. The dolby surround sound software was very easy to install and use. It's a taskbar program you click it to turn on Dolby (Default is off) mark the Dolby enabled check box and you have surround sound! Then there is a gaming/movie mode aswell as a Music mode. The one star off was for the length of the cord (Which isn't inconveniently short but not long enough to have so many options as to where the mic can move to. So don't expect to be able to plug this into your computer and sit back and play a game anywhere other then at your desktop. I am also use to long headset cords - so maybe i'm bias) Well i hope this review helps your decision to buy this headset or not (I got it at a great deal on Black Friday and it is also as cheap with cybermonday at the moment. I have owned the Turtle Beach PX21's before this headset and their are no comparison. Turtle Beach is over rated, they constantly had a fuzzy noise and the sound quality was horrible. Also they squeezed your head to death, not comfortable at all. These Plantronic's blew my mind when i got them 3 weeks ago, superb sound quality. I play guild wars 2 and the 7.1 surround sound is amazing! These things get loud with no loss of quality, i love how they have a dolby on and off button and also a music/ video mode and a gaming mode. For the price you cannot beat it!! If these things ever die on me I will def. buy another one, but I doubt that will happen because its built really well. Very comfortable and awesome sound quality! Oh and just the right amount of bass :D

The headset has very odd controls attached directly to the left earphone, not on the wire like normal gaming headsets. It's almost impossible to mute yourself if you're in a game. it's kind of cheap plastic (meaning when I shake it I can hear stuff rattling). The headset has good sound and good microphone input, however it's not comfortable for daily use. The headset fits like a vice grip and any effort to stretch the headphones out destroys the cheap plastic... All in all this is an average headset, however since it's a specialty item for gaming I would expect better.

This turned out to be just what I needed. Great sound quality and the surround sound comes in handy when I'm playing solo in a game. If you're talking to some friends on Skype or something, it doesn't sound good to have it on. In the picture it looked more silver and shiny to me and I was expecting that, it really is all black but that doesn't really matter. I enjoy how sturdy it feels compared to my friend's headsets that wiggle around a lot. The noise canceling turned out to be less than expected though. Overall it was totally worth the money.

I picked this headset up during a Black Friday promotion so the price at the point of purchase may not be consistent with what is being displayed currently. For $40, this is the best sounding headset I have come across. The digitally produced 7.1 surround sound has beautiful clarity and it has worked wonders for my CS:GO game. Bullet whizzes, footsteps, nades can be heard with pinpoint accuracy.The mic captures voice very well but is not directional as far as I know. It will capture some background noise if it is loud enough, but it has never been enough to inconvenience me on Skype or Ventrilo.Finally, the headset is comfortable for someone with an average sized head. The material that covers the ear cup is soft but sturdy and ensures the headset won't slip off during use.

I love this headset. I purchased this item for two purposes: gaming and for voip. For gaming, this has a great sound and I was amazed as to ho much it helped to know exact positioning of enemies. As for voip, this set works so well. I use voip for work purposes and I have to tell you, it really helps having the sound these have as well as the passive noise cancelling. The mic works great and people had an easier time understanding me than with my last headset. They are very comfortable and I have no problem wearing them for hours at a time. I highly recommend this item for people who are looking for a good headset without spending a whole lot of money.There are a few things I would change about it however. I am not a fan of having the controls on the ear. In some ways, it's nice because I don't have this huge control weighing down the cord, but it can be awkward to reach them. Plus I have hit the volume up and volume down a couple of times while stretching, which is weird. The other problem I have is that it is set by default to 5.1 surround sound when plugged in, so if you want 7.1, you have to manually set it every time. All in all, these are minor gripes and I can definitely live with them.

I have gone through many headsets in the years of gaming. This set does not feel heavy, it stays on my head, the microphone can be flipped up to get it out of the way when you are not talking to your teammates. The cord is long enough that it does not get tangled easily like many other headsets. The mute switch on the headset is so much better for use than having it on the cord as having it on the cord ends up switching me to mute when the cord hits the desk and switches the microphone off.

Whoever said that obviously never purchased this item off of Amazon. Not only is this product a really quality headset, but it's even cheaper on Amazon, brand new, than it would be to buy directly from Plantronics themselves. It's a good choice for a headset. The stereo feature sounds great, but the 7.1 digital surround is awesome as well. The sounds are pretty crisp and precise, if there are gunshots in-game off to your right, you can tell you're being fired upon from the right. The built-in microphone is also really quality, and I haven't had a single problem with it cutting in and out or any problems with other players, friends on Skype, or others hearing me. This is probably the best headset you can buy if you have a budget, and if you don't, I still recommend picking this baby up.They say you get what you pay for, but there are exceptions to every rule. This exceeds the price; not to mention Amazon's shipping speed and prices means that you can have this in your hands (or over your ears) by tomorrow and it will STILL be less than another headset of the same quality. Definitely pick this one up. Rated 5/5 stars.

I had a pair of $200 Turtle Beach 5.1 headphones with the 5 audio cords plus a usb for power. After they broke (rats love to eat expensive wires) I had to get new ones. I was skeptical about these because of the price, and how it's 7.1 surround with JUST a usb.I was blown away. It's weird to listen to music or play games without these now. And they are so comfortable I don't have to take them off! I just keep them on and walk around town. Sometimes I'll pretend I am talking to people through the microphone, which people have told me over skype that it's good quality.I absolutely recommend these. Get them while they are cheap! It inspired me to listen to my whole library again now that I can hear so many things I couldn't before.

This was my first surround sound headset, and I have to say I am very impressed!It's digital surround sound so it runs right through the USB. You just download the program and drivers and it runs pretty easily.The sound quality is amazingly clear compared to what I used to use but I won't go into lows and highs since I'm no audiophile.A few thing that I have found annoying are that since it runs through the USB, I constantly have to switch where the sound is coming from in my audio settings for things like skype/chrome/etc. I've pretty much switched to the headset only and rarely use my speakers now. Another is that these are not very comfortable after wearing for long hours. My ears start to hurt even after a couple hours. The last thing is the cord. It is very stiff and it hasn't lost its twisted up look from being tied together when I first got it.The cons definitely do NOT outweigh the pros. I'm really blown away at how well these perform for the price. Plus I'm glad I didn't need a new soundcard or anything.

These have an incredible sound. I felt like I was in a movie theatre! The software was easy to install and the headset worked immediately. My gaming friend said I was coming through crystal clear on his end.However, they are too heavy for me. And they fit too tightly around my ears. Within minutes, I had a terrible headache.One other drawback is that the mic picks up and transmits all ambient sound. I will be looking for a model that buffers background noise.If I find a model that addresses both these issues, I won't hesitate to buy it. I'm a Plantronics fan from way back and hope that they will come up with something I can use in the future.

Awesome for gaming. Brings out the best in music.Extremely comfortable and covers my entire ears. My last pair of headphones would press against the cartridge and after an hour or two of gaming my ears were sensitive but with these headphones this is not the case. Would recommend to everyone.Cons: The mic does not swivel more than 180 degrees as far as I can tell and seems a bit far away from my mouth. Also the plastic seems a bit cheap and prone to cracking but so far no cracks or scratches.

Edit: Dropping the score to two stars from four after discovering that the product's "GameCom780.exe" process (which runs even when the headphones have not been connected) screws up my USB mouse when gaming. Killing the above process in the task manager immediately solves the problem, and uninstalling the drivers for the headset permanently fixed it. In a game like WoW, where you can steer your character around by holding the right mouse button down, it would cause sudden nauseating jumps in the view direction when clicking the right mouse button.Previous review version follows:I was unable to get them to work on my main gaming system due to the fact that I have a Cisco USB Wi-Fi adapter that seems to interfere with any USB audio device (audio gets choppy and distorted every time the WiFi operates which is to say constantly). I have the same problem with other headsets so I can't blame these for not magically solving the problem.We set them up on another system here and they work great, sound good, etc., pretty much as everyone else says.I have a couple small quibbles that make them slightly less than perfect for me. The volume control is a digital up/down slide switch that you have to hold while the volume changes rather than an analog dial that you can just move to where you want it, and I would much prefer the speed and simplicity of an ordinary potentiometer knob.Also the driver software isn't all that impressive. When each new user logs into the computer after installation, you get a small popup in the middle of the screen that is annoying and not obvious how to use or dismiss, and it shows up whether or not the headphones are connected.So in the relatively large pantheon of gaming headsets, I would put these near the top, but so far they have not screamed "five stars" to me.G.

OK, so this headset is amazing! I loved it so darn much! I used it every single day until now.. I went to put it on my head (which is not large) and the right part just snapped.. It still works, but I can't waer them anymore. I just kind of lay them around my neck. REALLY annoying. I don't think I can get them replaced either since I bought them back in October =\Overall, this headset is 4/5. Nearly perfect in every way. But, since it just broke on me for no apparent reason.. I'm gunna be mean and give it 2/5... Great way to ruin my day.

I purchased this for my VOIP calls (Softphone). Use it predominantly with Microsoft LYNC 2010 Application at work.Pros:1. Good solid Build,2. Voice quality that you hear is awesome. The Dolby effect gives a good feel, though I don't really need it for my use case.3. Noise cancellation is great for its price range. I join biz meetings with family making noise in the background in the other room nearby. Nobody asked me so far to mute my audio.Cons:1. Little too big. Consumes lot of space on your table or inside your drawer.2. I use it for up to 2 hour meetings at a time. More than that, it may start making your ears feel uncomfortable.Overall, I am happy with it and will keep it.-Rakesh

This headset as close to perfect as I believe they could get. First off, these things are the comfiest headphones I have ever worn. I have ears that tend to stick out a little bit and headphones tend to irritate the edges of my outer ear; this is a non issue for this headset, and I can wear them for literally hours without them tiring my ears out.Sounds are always clear and are never distorted in the least. When listening to music, every note seems dead on. The microphone is fantastic. The surround sound feature is a treat during gaming. I really cannot get over how great this headset is.I have but one complaint: when taking the headset off, my thumb goes exactly over the volume scroll and I tend to turn them all the way up; fortunately, the headset beeps when turning them up or down so you realize it and you can turn it back down. This is a minor gripe, but is a grip nonetheless, yet it just has a slight learning curve.

These headphones are amazing!! At first use, I loved them....was playing a game and then watched part of a movie before realizing I didnt even have the 7.1 turned on. Once I touched that button...........mmmmmm buddy........watching a movie at the theater. Hell it makes you feel like you broke into a movie theater to play your games. I was looking for good quality. What I got was that along with sweet sweet sexy go goodness. These headphones dont just help me.....they complete me!!Being serious now, great product. I highly recommend.

I like these head phones. the 7.1 surround sound is a little gimicky, don't get me wrong they sound great but the surround sound just kinda makes it like you are in a big hall. I normally have that feature turned off. I really like the look and feel of the head set. I can wear it for long hours of gaming with no problems. When i first received them they were a little tight on my head but they eventually loosened up. Overall i really like them and the price is just right for a good pair of headphones.

I was skeptical about Plantronics at first when purchasing this headset. After reading the reviews, I figured I'd try them out... I was glad I did. From the first time I put them on I was blown away by the great sound quality and comfort. Most headsets kill my ears, but these were comfortable and snug. The mic quality is far superior to my last set, the main reason I wanted a new headset was because of an annoying echo issue with my last set and the quality is clear and picks up my noise very well with minimal background interference. I highly recommend this!!!!

I bought 2 pairs of headsets when I ordered these. One being turtle bay for my husband and then these for myself. After a good 6 months of using these items we both agree that the Platronics GameCom are SOOO amazing compared to Turtle Bay. The cushioning and fit are extremely comfortable and dont not seem to weigh down your head. (While the Turtle Bay ended up hurting the tops of our heads and ears after a couple hours of wear). I wear these religiously while I play so up to 5-8 hours some days without complaint! Amazing surround sounds as well. People say the mic picks up background noise and having several headsets I have yet to have one mic that doesn't. So that should NOT stop you from purchasing these. Easy to set up and amazing comfort! :)

Pros:* Great Sound* Quick controls on the left side* Semi-long USB cable* Soft material on the earphones and head makes it comfortable to wear* Earphones turn inward resting the soft part against your collarbone, very comfortable resting spot* Sensitive Mic, doesn't need to be right at your mouth to get a clear voiceCons:* Heavier then I expected, takes a bit of getting used to* The material can get warm around your head and ears if worn for a long time* Can't adjust the headband part. You can only extend the earpiece parts down for comfort. I would have liked to make the headband a bit less tight* Earphones only rotate inward, I would have liked them to go in both directions.* Mic only moves down in one direction so you're forced to wear the mic piece on the left ear.I actually use these when I work. I can listen to music and quickly switch over to do a conference call without having to switch headsets. I find that I cannot keep them on for periods longer than 30-60 minutes because of their weight and the heat they cause around my ears but I think both will be things I eventually get used to. The quality of the headphones and mic are fantastic.

This headset comes close to perfection. The sound quality is amazing for a heaset at this price. The sound and the mic are good with it just being used as a plug and play. But when it is plugged into computer with the software installed the surround sound really makes the headset come alive. The noise cancelling mic does just that with no noticeable flaws. The 6 foot cord is not to long and not to short. This headset is a great buy at the $60 give or take price. Good quality headset. However it does have one minor flaw. I can still hear more outside noise than I would care to listen to. I mean that is the point of the ear muffs fully enclosing your ear, right? Other than comfort of course. I don't know if any other people that have purchased this same headset are having the same problem but everything else about the headset is superb. Despite minor flaw I would recomend this product to anyone.
