This is a great mic to use for the cheap price, usually the mic runs about 25 dollars. I am giving this product 4/5 stars because the mic is just too heavy and is very tight on the head. If you wear this headset for too long it WILL hurt your ears. Overall it is a great mic to start off with. I am using it for uploaded videos for youtube.

SO. AWESOME. let me start by saying i am coming from apple earbuds, not another headset so i might just be easily impressed, but JEEZ these are amazing!! i just test ran them for 3 hours playing tf2 and bfbc2 half and half and IT IS AMAZING!! it is like a new experience playing the games!! the sound quality is awesome and the surround sound is equally amazing. BUY ONE IF YOU GET THE CHANCE :D

I bought this headset so I can use it on Skype and Vent to play League of Legends with my friends and it's great!The Mic cancels noise from surrounding areas and the closed ear design naturally cancels ambient noise. I recommend buying these!

I bought this Headset here on Amazon and have had them for a long time and they are amazingly durable. I have dropped them so many times and yet they still work great. I use them for Gaming, skype, music, and movies. Hell I even used these many times in public with my Mp3 player. As strong as these are I'm sure I'll have them forever lol. For the price you can't go wrong in my opinion.

Just as other reviewers has already said, this headset is very, very comfortable. Sound was also okay.But when I tried to test the mic, it wasn't working so I checked everything to fix this but found out that lots of other people are also having problem with this mic on this headset.PC couldn't even recognize the mic, so it was defective obviously.Ones that work dies quick too, according to other users.Just google. You'll find it out.

I am happy with the headphones,as they might only be $28 they sound great with decent bass. They are by no means a set of Bose so dont expect them to sound that way and you wont be dissapointed. There were a few people who complained about build quality and I would have to disagree with them! They feel very sturdy ! They do fit a little snug but I'm sure they will loosen up after some use.Someone said that the foam isnt thick enough and that the speakers touch their ears,I think it's just a case of chubby kid with dumbo ears honestly. I wear a 7.5 hat and have respectably sized ears and they dont touch. I would have liked the foam to be a little better. Why dont manufactures use memory foam ? That would be nice if your like me and have gaming sessions that last 8+ hrs. As far as the guy who wrote that the adjustable head band broke< I say wellthey probably got mad when someone Pwned and they eneed up being thrown at the wall. For less than $30 your gonna get a pretty good set of head phones,BTW dont think because they are a closed unit that it means they are noise cancelling by any means just less outside noise,refer back to the Bose comment.

I own a pair of mid-range headsets from Sennheiser and higher-end IEMs from Ultimate Ears, so I do enjoy good audio. This is the first headset that I own that has an integrated microphone. I purchased this mainly for team chatting during online gaming.Build Quality: Feels very sturdy and durable. The microphone boom retracts and extends with ease. The cabling is extra-thick and sleeved up to the point where it splits into separate connectors; this is where it feels weak and flimsy with the potential to rip off. I purchased a Analog-USB adapter so I don't have to deal with pulling each connector out individually.Audio: The audio sounds tinny and distant, like a cheap pair of Apple headphones. I doubt adjusting the EQ will change anything. If you are buying these to listen to music, look elsewhere. The microphone is clear and sensitive (my housemate owns another pair and we chat during gaming).Comfort: The headsets cling firmly to your head without falling off, even when I try "ye olde shake-your-head" test. The velvety padding is very thick and comfortable, much better than the fake leather and plastic that most other lower-end headsets use. Velvet is a great choice because it won't stick to your skin, or tear and become an annoyance. The padding on the portion that goes over your head is 3/4 inch thick, and has a memory foam-like consistency. I have a big head, but I don't feel that it's a tight fit. I'm sure that it will break in over time and either become more comfortable or be too loose.Overall: You get what you pay for. For $24 dollars with 2-day shipping, nothing can beat it. Great for gaming, but poor for listening to music. It serves its purpose. I hope this review will help you make your decision.

This is one of the best headset I have ever owned. Initially when I was looking for a good gaming headset I shopped around Steelseries/Razer/Logitech and couldn't find anything that produced the same comfort level and quality of sound after 14 + hours of continuous use. This headset has outperformed many $200 dollar headset that I have previously purchased so do not let the $80 dollar price point fool you. I am so pleased with this product that I will return to Platronics for all my future headset needs.

This headset is incredibly comfortable and well designed. I would highly recommend it. The only downside is the virtual surround sound which doesn't match up to actual surround sound but it is a good middle ground between stereo and surround sound.

The sound and mic quality are decent with this headset.Not much needs to be said here.However ultra comfortable fit - after few minutes my ears started to already hurt. It looks this headphone is made for small skulls.I do not understand why they do not build in better pressure adjustment for headphones of this price class.

I purchased my DSP-500 back in 2002. Still an everyday tool in my home office. Sound quality is excellent. I also use it for calling land line phones with Skype- everyone says the voice quality is crystal clear. My issues have been minor...The cord twists from use of taking it on and off, and at one point that pulled a wire in the volume control - which I resoldered. Now I simply hold the cord by the volume control - let the headset dangle and spin around until the twist comes out. If I dont do this the wires start to twist in the sheathing.The silicone head strap has stretched over the years so there is really no cushioning on the top - but it is a light comfortable fit so I honestly don't get painful pressure points from it even though sometimes I have them on for hours.I just realized today that the mic boom is extendable. I had to take it apart because the mic wire had frayed from years of rotating the mic up and down. The mic wire is hard to fix as it has an outerlayer wire and an insulated inner wire - very thin stuff. But again I soldered it and all is well. The rotating mic is nice on this one - smooth and trouble-free -nothing to catch your hair...all plastic so its lighter...nested into the ear piece so it looks cleaner and doesn't snag on stuff laying around the desk when you pick it up...Just very pleased with this. I can't believe it goes for $170 now (I think I paid $50) but its longevity on the market and on my head is a testament to its quality.

I had read other low star reviews that said bass response was bad. I told myself, "It can't be that bad".Bass response? Completely nonexistent from the beginning. I had to go into my sound card's application and turn all low range frequencies up and most highs down just to make this headset useable.To try and determine an EQ range I listened to Flux Pavilion's "I Can't Stop" on [...] ([...]) and some BF3 alpha footage ([...]).I jumped into a few games of Medal of Honor (probably the best test for BF3) and actually for that game it did pretty okay. It was a little flat but gun shots sounded good (with my slightly modified EQ) and "sound whoring" was decent (considering the game has no footstep sound and I listen very closely).Jumping back out and playing with the EQ a bit more I found a decent medium that didn't sound too flat and didn't sound too "telephone": [...]Experience as a professional sound engineer at a recording studio still cant change that this headset simply sounds "flat" with a metallic "hollow". While it is usable- you can find something better in this price range (albeit something that wont last as long quality wise). If you don't want to play around with it I recommend going with something higher priced (ie Creative Labs). I can't give this more then 2 stars.

Had these 4 days now and love them sound quality is fantastic very impressed.For the price you won't beat them, I also have a g35 logitech set which just broke common problem I just read.The 780's sound better then those at a much cheaper price.Just plug them in install the drive and away you go.The only slight concern I'd have is they don't fit as well as the other pair, however that wouldn't stop me getting them.

The audio quality and comfort of this headset is fine -- more than adequate, given the low cost.But there is an in-line module that adjusts the volume, as well as muting the microphone. This little hunk of plastic ruins the whole thing; it frequently changes volume levels, loses one channel of the stereo audio, and cuts in and out when adjustments are made. I have to fiddle with the dial to get both channels, and there only seem to be three levels that don't cut out; too loud, a little too quiet, and far too quiet.The ear cups are certainly not sized to fit over adult ears; just to rest on the pinna. I don't have any serious problems with comfort with them; I'm frequently wearing these for several hours at a stretch, and only my general sense of irritation at having my hearing muffled makes me take breaks every half hour or so.I'll keep using them, although I might end up popping open the volume gizmo and cutting it out of the circuit. I suspect that would be a pretty trivial soldering job, but it shouldn't be necessary.

This headset appears to have a design defect in the headband.We purchased two of these headsets; my son's broke after about a week, on the left (microphone) side, right at the joint between the upright and the curved portion where it telescopes into the top part of the headband. Mine lasted about six months and broke in exactly the same place. There is a "stress riser" point where the upright is recessed to accomodate the microphone boom when it is swung out of the way, and this is where both headphones failed. When I disassembled both headsets (hoping to repair one or both), I discovered that both headbands also had significant cracking in the same location on the opposite side. If the left sides had not broken first, the right sides were ready to break soon anyway.Other than the weak headband, these headsets have fantastic sound and stay comfortable for long periods.Great value for this price point. But the headband, being made entirely of plastic, just won't last.

This headset offers fantastic sound quality, a mic that stays in place (and out of the way), and exceptional comfort.Comfort issues first:Unlike a couple of the other reviewers, I do not find its soft velveteen ear-cup linings irritating, or even unusually hot (and it was in the high 80s today inside my house). They do trap some heat, just because they cup your ears, but if you need more airflow you can adjust them a little larger than you need, and they do not pinch so tightly as to give you a headache. My ears (which are rather large) also fit fairly well inside them and are not in any way pinched or hampered. Comfort wise, these are definitely top notch for this style of headset. As another reviewer pointed out the mic does not stick out in front of your mouth, but this is intentional (and quite common nowadays), and in no way affects sound quality.To the sound:Voice quality is great. I wouldn't use it for studio recording, but for the voice chat and phone call market it seems intended for, it's great. It doesn't seem to cancel out background noise, but it does not advertise this feature, and unless you have a lot going on in the background, it should be inaudible to your teammates. As for incoming sound, it's a little above average for a standard stereo headset, which is to say it isn't as good as speakers, but everything is crisp and clear. It seems to have good bass response, and actually has a little more trouble with higher range notes (I first noticed this with Symphonic Classical music's cymbal crashes, and didn't ever notice it in the Classic Rock I play while gaming, or in game or voice sounds themselves). If you want superb, game-changing sound, go for the surround sound version of this headset.Overall:I can't think of much bad to say about the headset. It's exactly what it purports itself to be, which is a comfortable gaming/voice chatting headset with standard stereo sound. Plantronics hit a home run with this one in my book, and in my experience, they always do. I should add that I haven't had the headset long yet, but as it was a self-chosen birthday gift, I spent most of the day testing it. ;)UPDATE 1/29/2011: I originally purchased this item in Spring/Summer of 2010. A year has nearly passed, and I thought I should update the review with a longer-term opinion. That is what follows:After a year of use for voice chat, video calls, and video gaming, I can't say I've found anything seriously wrong with this headset. I frequently wish the cord was just a little longer, or that it was wireless, as I use it with my desktop and it has to travel a significant distance behind the desk to get to my head. It is always comfortable, and only gets over-warm if the room I'm in is already fairly warm (Above 80 degrees Farenheit or so and I wouldn't wear it for prolonged periods). While I'd like an upgrade with simulated surround sound at some point, this headset still deserves five stars. It delivers great performance at a great price.

I got this headset for my Let's Play channel on YouTube. (MrWarlockFTW)The sound quality is great and the mic is super sensitive, I had toturrn it down to 20% of the max so my subscribers ears would not beblasted with my awesome voice!The headset is also good for watching moves and I use it a lot on Netflix.The earphones have nice padding and on the top so you can use themfor a long time before you have to take a break.

Sound quality was above average for the price, however, the item was basically unusable because it was so uncomfortable. Even after days of stretching out the headset, whenever I would put it on it gave me a splitting headache from being too tight. The cups were somewhat comfortable but even the padding on those was not enough to keep this from feeling like it was crushing my head. Ultimately I sold the item to someone else because for me, it was unusable.

This is a great gaming headset. Didn't know it was so great till I actually tried it on. Been playing Battlefield 3 with them, and they work like a boss. Deep bass for explosions, etc. Music also sounds really good with them. If you want something reasonable priced, go with the GameCom 367. You won't regret it.

I bought these headphones to temporary replace the one that's on a fritz and these are actually pretty decent. There are mad comfortable. The plush cushions are better than the leather ones on my DJing headphones. After a while, these does not hurt your ear nor does it hurt taking them off. Cord so far is long enough for you to move around, unless you're trying to walk around the house with it. Tried the mic on skype's test call and i got a minor buzz that's really unnoticeable. Especially when you in-game, you don't hear it at all. It probably was just interference from another device at the time.For $25, I would definitely recommend this to all my fellow gamers.To bad the clear red plastic parts does not light up. Would have been neat aesthetically....[02/09/12] and i think the sub just went out.

When I bought this it was the most comfortable headset I've ever worn. However, the materials that make up its casing and wire are complete crap. Mine broke in no time, and the warranty is just as bad. I can only recommend this if you are Bill Gates and can buy a new headset every few weeks without thinking about it.

For the price, they're fantastic. I've had mine for almost 2 years now and have really enjoyed them.Pros:- Decent sound quality- Nice design- Extremely durable- Comfortable (for short-term use)- Handy switch for mute and volume control with a clip on it- Nice mic hideawayCons:- Mic is REALLY quiet; I ended up buying a separate desktop mic in order to be heard- Uncomfortable for long-term usage (3-4 hours)- Recently started making a faint whine/buzz sound when I use them (never did before)- Collect a large amount of hair/dust on the ear pads which starts to itch(I have 2 dogs and 4 cats)For gaming/listening to music, these will do. They're nothing fancy, but they're not too bad. If you're looking to use voice communication, you'll need a separate mic, or shop elsewhere.

This one is definitely not one of Plantronics best. I'm not gonna make an essay about this, but I will blatantly point out the pros and cons about this headset. Beware that although I've only been using them for about 2-3 hours now, I've had plenty of headsets before and hardly write reviews because either they're satisfactory, or they aren't bad enough to write about without sounding like some obnoxious demanding customer who expects nothing but perfection out of everything.It's as simple as this:Pros*Microphone works really well despite not being very close to the mouth.*The headset encompasses around your ear.*Loud.Cons*Audio quality not good at all. There's no bass whatsoever.*Thick and clunky design. Even the dial for the volume is unnecessarily big; it's about as big as the volume dial for my regular 4.1 speakers.*Only comfortable if you're wearing Iron Man's mask; or something equally as durable. The noticeable unfavorable amount of pressure these things try to force into your head are cushioned by soft pads, so it's doesn't make it painful.*Loud. Too loud. Yes, I know I said that as a pro, but it's also a con. People in the room next door, or 3 doors down will hear these in the dead of night. It's not good for night-gaming unless you're single and forever alone.I rather recommend another pair of Plantronics headsets to anyone who reads this:Plantronics 3D Surround Sound Gaming Headset (USB Full Range Stereo) (Audio 770)[..]Unfortunately Amazon has been out of stock on these for quite some time now, and they're quite hard to find at a cheap price. But if you ever come across them, they are -wonderful- and you should buy them on the spot when discounted. However, the only bad thing about them is the microphone...it tends to fall out of place and goes down below your chin. Other than that, some glue will fix it back into place and they are perfect.So yeah, this GameCom 367 headset is trash. I would recommend it to my enemies.

i have been gaming for a very long time i have been through many head sets from the dinky Logitech head set to the expensive Razers this head set is very good quality its durable and the padding is very nice noise cancellation it top notch and the microphone is actually the best quality i have heard the only down side that i see is that when your playing battlefield 3 or another game with explosions the bass is not really there i could be wrong because it does depend on your computer hardware overall these are good headphones and i would recommended that people buy them

I asked my husband and oldest son to help me test out these headset. My 15-year-old's review was to the point "These is the best headset we've ever owned."My husband used these for several weeks while playing SWTOR. He was so impressed that he wanted me to order a backup pair in case these ever broke. It's nice to be in the same house while he's gaming without having to hear him shout to be heard or members of his guild talking. These have been a peaceful addition to the wife of a gamer. Worth the price for that alone.Don't hesitate to buy these as a gift for the gamer in your life.

First, I saw this product at Best Buy. $90. I paid about $36 with shipping. You cannot beat that price.Now, on to the review. I love this headset. If I am on my computer, it is usually on. The sound is amazing, and believe all of the reviews that comment on the bass; I oonts all of the time :PI had one small problem when it arrived: in the left headphone, there was a loose screw, and every time that I would move my head, I could hear it moving around. With a quick flip of the head, it lodged itself somewhere inside, and I have not heard of it since. It does not ruin the sound.Do not let that little thing make you think that this product is a piece of junk. It was a small problem, probably with only mine (I would not know, I have not asked around :P)Do one thing: buy this product. I love it, and cannot praise it any higher!

I purchased this headset after trying the Corsair Vengeance, which I returned because they squeezed my head way too hard. The Plantronics are lighter, more comfortable, and the sound is AMAZING. The virtual surround is flawless, the bass is great, they get plenty loud too.Most important for me was comfort. I can go for hours wearing these with little to no discomfort. Just enough pressure to hold them to your head securely, without feeling like a squeezed grape.No doubt the best headset I've owned in years!

Review based on a few factorsSound: Below-average performance here. This is taking in consideration of the price.Microphone: Average at best.Quality: The build quality was pretty bad. After a few months they were so loose on my head that I refused to wear them. This was mainly due to the stretching of the band. The plastic on the muffs were also cracking. The positive was that dropped them a few without it affecting the performance.The only reason that I gave it one more extra star was because I was able to get it for under $20. I've been using the product for 1 week, it is awesome I bough it specially for battlefield 3 and the sound its great, I switch from another plantronics headset which sound good, but the experience with the Dolby here is a major improvement. I do have a 5.1 home theater systems on the TV so I can make the comparison. So for games this rock, if you are looking on this headset for movies although it sounds great it doesn't sound like a real 5.1 since its emulated sound.Very happy with the product and the price.

Well built. Great Sound! And not just for gaming. Brought new life to movies videos gaming. My gaming buddies have all commented on the sound of the mic as well. The 780 is my first headset. The drawbacks to me are mostly preference. A left or right boom; oblong earphones, noise cancel is great and comfort is there with square; and lastly since I am not used to a headset, the weight is something to adjust to. Overall, extremely pleased! Will definitely recommend this headset.

When I purchased these headphones and started using them, I was very pleased with the sound. Skype conversations and VoIP chat were crystal-clear. People with whom I spoke commented on how clear I sounded versus when I was using a microphone on my desk.I have owned the headset for about six months now and when I took them off my head last night, the left ear cup broke off. Had I been rushing or in a hurry I might have said, "Okay well that's what happens." However, I was removing them unhurriedly and without force. I looked at the dangling part funny, not really believing the headset had just broken. The headset has been stored on my desk and well taken care of. It looks brand new, but the plastic on the headset is flimsy and despite good care, the ear cup now hangs from wires. Up until that point, I loved the headset and had recommended them to my mother for VoIP.

Extremely comfortable and light-weight. Sounds great and the mic is crystal. The only problem is, is it's compactness. Obviously, if you're buying a stick, it's going to break like one at some point. It isn't really a problem, there's nothing built like this that will last. This would be my 4th purchase of this item but for it's purpose, it's awesome.

Plantronics specializes in headsets - so I chose them when I saw this deal. My headset at work is absolutely flawless, and expected the same quality. As far as quality of sound and the mic - they deliver.There are only two annoyances I have with this headset.#1 - The size of the phones. Although my ears are relatively small or medium sized, I do have to adjust the headset after about an hour or so with them on. They don't pinch or hurt...but they're not the most cushy things either.#2 - THE MOST ANNOYING THING - there is NO CLIP for this pretty long cord! It is so annoying. If you're not careful, you will destroy the cord with it bending, getting caught under things. They REALLY should of made a clip on the volume control hub thing. REALLY!If you ignore those two items - the phones are great. Quality superb. The phone size doesn't even bother me as much as the lack of the clip does in all honesty!!!!

I love plantronics and I have been purchasing them for about 12 years now exclusively. This is no longer the case. This headset lasted about 6 months through normal gaming use. It was never dropped, thrown, stomped on, driven over.. etc.. The area where it extends out to fit your head cracked after 6 months and when I attempted getting a replacement via warranty I was denied saying I had damaged it. I'm very careful with everything around my computer and I know my headset was not abused in any way but.. alas, I will be moving to another brand and saying good bye to plantronics.

I've been using these headphones for a few years. They've comfortable, and the sound output is pretty good, but they're definitely a low-end item. The inline volume control is of low quality--there's a loud static noise when you turn the dial, and generally only the left ear continues to output sound; only by tapping the control dial a few times can you restore sound in the right ear. The microphone has simply never been usable. I've resorted instead to using "freebie" microphones I received thrown in with other products, the kind that come with a mounting clip with an adhesive backing and no brand markings of any kind, and that these were a substantial improvement should give you a sense of just how poor this headset's microphone is. That said, given that I don't often need a microphone, the presence of an inline volume control, even a balky one, has proven so convenient that I've kept using these as headphones, warts and all. I'm finally sufficiently fed up with them that I'm looking at replacing them, probably with something by Sennheiser, but they've served me for nearly three years now, so I suppose I can't rate them too poorly. Still, be aware that these are better considered headphones than a headset, because the microphone is worthless.

This headset is a great headset because it will always give you clear sound and it is even comfortable even for a few hours.This headset is also strongThe only flaw is the 3.5 mm jack isnt separated enough but you could fix that by buying a extender for a few bucks

After trying these headphones for a couple days, I've been pleasantly surprised with how well they've worked for me. I was a little worried because I've bought cheaper headsets before and they've turned out awful. I've also had more expensive pairs that obviously perform better, but for a sub-$25 budget; this set is hard to beat.

Великолепно

I bought these headphones for myself for Christmas and I have been very happy with these headphones. I have not made any adjustments to them and they work wonderfully! My only complaint is that if you wear the headphones on too long they tend to press on your head and give me headaches, that could just be me but other than that they are great headphones! A good buy for anyone!!!

I am excited that others have had good luck with these headphones, but I absolutely hate them because they skip with a jarring pop sound every few minutes. I have tried multiple applications (iTunes, many video games, Youtube) and different headphones (earbuds and these) and it definitely is the headphones.Don't buy these unless your music being interrupted every few minutes is acceptable.

Sounds great for the money! Problem is, my mic crapped out after 4 months. It can get a little hot after extended use but its actually better than some other headphones that I have used. The earpads are made of soft fabric, so it is very comfortable.

the sound is pretty good...but these are very uncomfortable to wear.. you cannot wear them for more than an hour..they doesnt enclose your ears.. they are one your ears..
