Великолепно

This is my 5th Canon camera since the days of the film A-1. I love photographing wildlife and this camera does it all so well. Last trip out was photographing 14 Desert Bighorn. With a tripod and the telephoto I got shots where their eye color was visible. Close-ups like I've never imagined. Just added a monopod to my gear for those hard to get spur of the moment shots. Highly recommend this great camera.

I think this is the best camera made,and about the iso, there is no limit,you don't need a flash even in the dark, just turn up the iso, why do some people say that there is a limit of 200 on the iso, you can't do it in auto,look for night mode in scn setting,The iso on the sx50 will go all the way to 6400.

If you like the picture quality of disposable cameras, you will love this camera. I have shot hundreds of photos with this, both handheld and on tripod at numerous iso/shutter speed/aperture settings and have yet to get a halfway decent shot. My Canon SX230 outperforms this camera. Combine small sensor size with a slow lens and bad programming and you get lousy pics. The camera is programmed to give you the absolute worst combination of iso aperture and shutter speed for any lighting. Even setting manually it still does not produce image quality for the length of the lens. I wanted to use this for taking pictures of birds and wildlife. Try to get a bird to wait while you fiddle with the settings. Save yourself some money and either go with a small pocket camera or jump to DSLR. Wasted $500 including accessories.

Amazing zoom. Love the fact that you can record HD video, Zoom and the camera will continue to auto focus the entire time. I have used other cameras that would not focus properly when zooming in and out. Also the auto focus is super fast. Love this camera. Still learning to use all the features on this camera. But love it so far.

I love this camera. It gives you the ability to take shots of anything from macro shots to photos of things that are so far away no one else could consider trying to photograph them. In bright sunlight you can use the view finder and compose your photos that would be difficult with only the LCD screen. It is a terrific camera, I highly recommend it.

I like the fast zoom capability but am still learning what all the buttons are for. I am keeping my old camera too as it is smaller and handier if I want to carry it in my purse or pocket.

Pros - Great zoom, easy ergonomics, well built, good quality imagesCons - Not quite as good in low light as my Canon G12 was. I would like to see a faster lens by at least one F Stop. Otherwise this camera meets all my expectations.

Camera is great, really love it. The first camera was defected and returned. The second camera was working then the little card (that holds the pictures) would not lock in. The people at Amazon have been so helpful and gracious. I could not have asked for a better experience and superior assistance with my returns.Thank you. I will recommend Amazon and plan to use your services in the future. Customer assistance is a dying feature of the industry, so glad to see that it still exists at Amazon.

After watching youtube videos about this camera I decided to buy it. I was skeptical that it would zoom like the videos showed, but the zoom is really incredible for such a small camera. I don't like the manual flash because it takes longer to get the shot set up, then see the message that says "raise the flash", then do that and then take the picture. That is truly annoying.

While birding one day I saw 4 people with this camera. After reading the reviews and asking the owners, I decided to buy one. I am still learning, but the sum total so far is that it is a great camera for everyday use, but especially good if you don't want to lug around a camera with a huge lens.

I recently took the camera to the 2013 Masters golf tourney (practice day of course). The pictures were excellent, the shutter speed was good enough to capture some good shots, and the telephoto lens worked well from a good distance. It was intuitive since I had a previous version, but some of the picture review controls were clumsy.

I love this camera. Pictures are sharp and clear. Zoom is awesome. Not too heavy. The only fault I found was when holding the camera to take a picture my thumb keeps hitting the timer.

I have graduated from models SX10 IS, SX30 IS and SX40 HS. I give the SX40 HS high marks. I bought the SX50 HS in hopes of being able to use the 50X zoom with some competence. I have a decent tripod and the Canon remote. But when shooting on a cloudy day (low light), a very high percentage of shots are trash. No focus. I realize that I am an amateur, but have fun taking shots of nearby eagles. I have not yet tried continuous auto focus or manual focus. And there is still no Shortcourse (Dennis P. Curtin) to guide me in the right direction.I am willing to wait a little longer, in hopes of getting what I want out of this camera. I do not want to wait too long and am unsure as to the return policy. Amazon, can you help?

Great camera but only 3 stars as I needed to take action shots of my son playing basketball. The lens can't handle it. Going with the FZ200 which has a much faster lens. Alternative is the heavyweight DSLR cameras but I still want the mega zoom.

This camera is amazing. It works great for snapping "fast" moving sports pictures of my 5-year olds soccer team or nice family shots. I can always guarantee to get a good photo of my always on the move 3 year old. The zoom is insane. You tube this bad boy!

I made a serious mistake and bought a Nikon a couple years ago. I had always had Canons before that. I had to go back to Canon and this camera is incredible. In spite of its multitude of capabilities, it is still fairly easy to use and get the results you want. I just love it.

I have owned SX30 and SX40 cameras in the past. SX40 was a HUGE improvement over SX30. However, I am not sure that I see too much difference between SX40 and SX50. It is an AWESOME camera, dont get me wrong. However, if you are just an amateur photographer (like me) and you already own SX40, I would probably recommend keeping your SX40. New version allows you to shoot HD movies and has some minor differences in technical specs. However, I am just not sure if the prices difference between SX40 and SX50 justifies the difference in quality of the images. I think you should at least wait for the price to go down a bit before upgrading.If you DONT currently own SX40 and you are in a market for a new high-end point and shoot camera, then this is the camera for you. I keep all settings on Auto and I absolutely love the quality of the pictures.Its a really great camera for the money!

I have purchase several Canon cameras so far, the last one being the stellar Canon S3IS, which has been a great all around camera. It has outperformed many of the cameras which my associates carry, especially in the stereo audio catagory which was a pleasant surprise. After having the Powershot SX50 HS, it is obvious that Canon has produced yet another great camera!

I have two Canon DSRL cameras and I have used the preceeding four versions of this one and I take it everywhere I go. I like the features and the versitility. Some of shots at the extreme end of the telephoto were not as clear as I had hoped as with some of my indoor shots in low light. The camera has been very good overall.

I was amazed by the telephoto zoom. The camera is light and simple to use. The pop out screen is a good addition and the manual lifting of the flash prevents the camera from automatically pop it up. Highly recommend this camera for beginners.

Researched our options a lot before deciding on this camera. Decided that we weren't ever going to become anything more than novice photographers and that a point-and-shoot would serve our needs best. This camera exceeded our expectations. The rapid fire function is impressive and the zoom is unbelievable. Well worth the month.

A very good prosumer camera. A good buy for a beginner to middle range photographer, but not for the advanced photographer. Excellent zoom lens for bird shots and good jpg (better than RAW development in this case!). Faster than the SX40, lighter and overall improved. You will need a monopod or tripod to shoot with this as that is what I carry. Battery life is excellent as I took 1,000 shots over four hours (however, I turned off the camera when not shooting). In fairness to the SX50, most of the shots I took would have been impossible with its superior zoom reach. Probably the best bridge camera on the market.However, the camera should be considered legally blind as it can't focus in dim light, shadows or on dark subjects. Really searches. No in camera stitch editing (why bother having it). A great disappointment is that for the high end price, Canon doesn't include video and computer cables--talk about cheap!!

The electronic viewfinder was a total disaster. I have gotten accustomed to using the viewfinder for composing and making the images and the one on this model cannot be used to do so. It is difficult to use and if speed is essential (wildlife/bird photography) it is too slow to obtain the image.I have already sold the camera!

I love the color saturation and exposure of this camera. The 50x lens is a marvel. I've taken a few photos at 100x using the digital zoom hand held and am amazed how sharp the photos are.Night shot does a good job on cityscapes and foreground shots, however due to the short exposures, forget astrophotography.

This is a very powerful camera and it will take me a while to learn how to effectively use it. I bought a pistol grip to go with the camera. The pistol grip really helps. I just took some amazing pictures of a full moon. Could not do that with my Canon A720. The camera is well made and I handle it very carefully because I don't want to drop it. The software on CD from Canon is terrible. I have an older version of the software and it works very well. The new version just does not work very well on my older Windows XP computer. Probably need a lot of memory to run the new version. Overall, I am very satisfied with this camera.

I bought this camera for the 50X which I use for birding and It works very well for telephoto. It has many features which I have not tried out for other purposes. The problem I have with the camera is that it doesn't work well with my hands which are small. In holding the camera, I am pressing on control buttons and changing settings I don't mean to change. I don't like the swingout screen as I moslty shoot with the evf and have to stop and open the screen to review. The photo quality is similar to my Lumix DMC-FZ35. In spite of the akwardness to use, I would buy this camera again for the awesome zoom.
