Достоинство этого фотоаппарата- зум-объектив с многократным увеличением. Можно использовать для фото-охоты ПРИ ХОРОШЕМ ОСВЕЩЕНИИ. Но у него Тип матрицы: 1/2,3" , такой же как и у любой мыльницы за 3 тыс. руб. Не предъявляйте высоких требований к качеству фото- вы его не получите, особенно в пасмурную погоду и в сумерки. К тому же объектив достаточно темный f/3,4- f/6,5. Кому не принципиально очень большое приближение (увеличить изображение ведь можно и на компьютере, просто обрезав края кадра), ЗА ЭТИ ДЕНЬГИ лучше взять CANON S 110 с гораздо большим размером матрицы 1/1.7", с очень светлым объективом и даже более компактных размеров. Качество же фото будет на порядок выше и возможна будет съемка при неблагоприятных условиях погоды. Даже возможно будет размывание фона в портрете, почти как у зеркалок.

Bought this camera because I needed a megazoom for a specific event. First off, the camera works well and takes better pictures than it probably should. I'm a novice photographer and needed a decent point and shoot to take great pictures. It delivers and my photos are great quality, indoor and outdoor. For those who like more control, the camera also has manual controls. One tiny drawback is that the controls aren't as "intuitive" as my other digital cameras. You'll probably need the manual handy the first time you use it. No big deal. My problem is getting my fine pictures OUT of the camera. It is wireless only. Great! One less cable to keep up with. Not so fast. The setup for wireless is a colossal pain in the neck. You have to register on the Canon image gallery website. Then register the camera. Then set up the access point. Then register the computer, smartphone, tablet, etc you'd like to to send the pictures to. Fine, that is expected. After all of that, you upload the pictures and realize you can't even crop a photo on the CIG website/app, much less do any real editing. You have to do it using the 3" screen on the camera first. Whatever, I'll import into iPhoto on my Mac. If only the camera would stay connected to the computer! After 20 aggravating minutes, I gave up and loaded the SD card into the adapter attached to my computer and uploaded that way. You can "upload" an album to twitter and facebook (sorry, no other video/photo sharing apps) from the CIG, but to share them with your friends requires password? That would be because you aren't uploading the pictures, just a link to the album. If you want to create or add to an album on facebook, you'll have to upload the pictures one at a time; can't "select all" and be done with it. After taking hundreds of pictures, that ain't happening. The wireless function on this camera is, in a word, ONEROUS.

I purchased this camera from a local store while visiting in Arizona in January 2014. The trip was supposed to be very short, only a few days, and I was 'traveling light'. The only camera i had with me was my iPhone 5s.As the trip time stretched out to over a month I decided I wanted another camera to take 'better' (i.e. zoomed in) pictures but I didn't want to break the bank for a temporary camera. Thus the choice of the 510 HS. The local store agreed to match the Amazon price otherwise I would have ordered it from Amazon as I'm a Prime member.I didn't expect a whole lot from this camera (I own a Canon 5D Mk III and a Canon 7D) but I was surprised in how well it does work if held in a stable manner. Except for a little bit of softness (described below) one can get very good images using manual mode. I even managed to get a very good image of the moon using 30x magnification--hand held no less--and manual mode.The system is not really sensitive so one has to be careful if not using the flash. Watch out for the orange symbol indicating camera shake as that indicates the exposure time is below 1/20th of a second. Anything below about 1/125 is going to give considerable blurring when handheld in a caviler manner. I suggest using the flash, if possible, whenever the exposure time grows larger than 1/60.Even when taking flash pictures, the images are a bit soft but they usually become 'good enough' if given a little sharpening. I'm not sure if this softness is native to the 510 HS or if it's my particular unit. I'm used to the incredibly sharp images I get from my 5D Mk III or 7D so it may just be the softness one can expect from an inexpensive camera with a huge zoom range. In other words, I'm being too critical of an inexpensive camera with respect to softness of the image.To sum thing up, I'm not sorry I purchased the camera. It will be used quite a bit for quick snapshots--my wife already prefers the 510 HS to her S95.

I had debated over this camera or jumping into the dslr fray. I spent way too long looking at reviews and debates and decided all I was doing was confusing myself. I considered other long zoom small sensor cameras as well. Panasonic, Nikon, Sony and Fuji all make fine cameras as well as others. But this one seemed to fit my wants well. The FZ200 almost won out with its constant 2.8 aperture lens. However, the 50x lens that the canon has gave it the edge. And to be honest, even though the sx50 may need to boost iso's up to accommodate for the long zoom, it handles the noise well enough. I also like the rotating screen and the big list of functions this camera has. I learned from others reviewers to use the shutter priority more often. I like to photograph birds and kids and this works better with a faster shutter than a camera may apply when shooting in auto. You may have to raise the iso's into the 400 range but you will still get a clearer shot. The only small complaint I have is the slick feel the sx50 has. Others, like the Fuji have a rubbery grip that feels wonderful and secure. I am wondering if I can apply some sort of applique or thin coat of rubber-like paint to key areas to help in this regard. Canon should address this in the future with their larger zoom cameras. As for the dslr, I'm sure I could never afford the zoom lens needed to reach the lengths the sx50 can. I may still purchase an entry level one just to try out and have on hand for portrait or low light situations. But for now I will enjoy this fun, quality built camera. I wanted to surprise my husband for Christmas with a camera and all the necessary accessories. After doing research online, this camera was 'best fit' for his needs. With the assistance of Amazon's 'you might be interested' feature I ordered software, SIM card, and carrying case. I do not recall reading ANYWHERE in the features/benefit or specification page that a CANON-SPECIFIC USB cable did not accompany the camera, or I would have automatically ordered the cable.My husband has just spent over two (2) hours with the camera, computer, and different USB cables attempting to download the software onto his computer. The message indicates 'no device detected'; needless to say he's frustrated. I came back to the Amazon site and looked up the camera and saw a USB Cable for this camera; usually under $20, on sale for $5.75. Not a problem except we live in Hawaii (not eligible for PRIME) and the shipping will cost more than the RETAIL price of the cable; not to mention shipping time.Bottom line: camera is ready to go, software is ready to go, without a CANON-specific USB cable, nothing's going to happen. It's like buying a car, only to discover that before you drive it away, you'll need to buy the car keys.I strongly urge Canon to include the cable with the camera, whether you choose to charge extra is a no-brainer to reduce customer frustration (read customer reviews under Canon SX510 USB Cable). From a marketing perspective, it's little things like this that could be prevented if you looked at the impact of total customer experience.Will submit an additional review ONCE THE CAMERA is up and running with downloaded software in the computer. In the meantime, we'll just set all the parts/pieces aside and wait for a week or more until the USB cable arrives; then we'll repeat the installation/set up process. Hopefully my next review will be glowing, positive, and include more stars!

For a long time we bought decent digital cameras, rather than really good ones, because of price. And as prices came down, we'd get a little better camera - usually Canons. Last year, we decided we wanted, and could afford the next step up - a Nikon J1. Long story short - nice pix, short battery life, too much stuff to drag around.This year we decided that we wanted to see if there was something available at a reasonable price, that could take almost as good pictures as the Nikon, but was handier to take on vacation (no lens switching). I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS ONE!! (Sorry, I hate all caps, but that's really how I feel.)The pictures are incredible. I only used flash as a 'just in case' backup picture, but the non-flash pictures are all better. I've never seen such nice lowlight resolution in a moderately priced camera.The zoom is INCREDIBLE. I hope to post a couple pix that show its range. And though I tried hard to be still for long range shots, I don't have the steadiest of hands, but the anti-shake in this camera is ... yes, incredible.The battery life is all that I needed. I took about 100 shots a day and used the zoom a LOT, and only had to change the battery every day and a half. (I bought a spare for that very purpose.)I love the flash popup - so simple, yet so effective.Here are my little nitpicky cons: The zoom feels a bit rough at high speed. The macro function could be a bit better. I don't think it comes with a wrist strap. That's it.

I am a professional and i really like this camera for use on anything it would be great to carry with you as a pro it is small and takes awesome pictures and for the price it is a high quality camera affordable for any type of user.The zoom lens everytime amazes me, I used it for low light the other night it could have worked a bit easier but it mainly was because i did not read the manual first but I was still able to get a bunch of good pictures of the lunar eclipse. I am confident with reading the manual i would have been able to overcome the minor issues related mostly to the lense and aperature]. No biggie it still passed. I would hoghly recomend this camera. It is not my first Cannon and it wont be my last. Within arms reach i have over 10000 dollars in cannon equipment and i have never had any problems with my Cannon gear accept one time i was late for a flight and at the wrong place at the airport i decided to run to my final call gate and from no were I was tackled by two security officers football style and kinda of bent the camera body of my AE-1 but it still worked and the telephoto zoom i had on it that day was fine to. It kinda sucked the security department kept the camera for a month but returned it with a check for the damage.When I sent to cannon for the repairs they said it was covered by some crazy warantee so it cost me nothing to fix plus a thousand buck from North West Air apologizing for the whole thing,That is awesome for everyone.One more thing football players should have there cameras mounted on their helmets just in case those security guards are still out there,. Im just saying.

I got this model, over the 500, because of the 1080 video. The 500 has 16MP but only 720 video. The 510's 1080 video is awesome. I was not disappointed. I can shoot beautiful video on the fly and you can still zoom in and out while filming.This camera is diminutive. I mean VERY SMALL! But I have medium/large hands and it fit my grip quite well. The small size also means it is light weight. It won't quite fit in a pants pocket, but if you have cargo pants you may be able to fit it into one of the cargo pockets. But it comes with a neck/shoulder strap so you can wear it that way as well,A few other reviewers have commented on the camera saying they could not take a clear picture. I would say it is user error because I have not experienced any blurred pictures. The auto focus takes some getting used to for people who have never used auto focus. The shutter is not instantaneous. You have to hold the camera still until after the shot is complete. You can't simply press the shutter and take the pictures, You have to wait until the shot is done before moving the camera.The camera has LOADS of options for shooting, similar to a DSLR. But the Auto feature yields good results as well.I am very pleased with this camera. I would buy it again. The video is very good and the still images are also as good. I would recommend this camera for anyone who wants more control over their video and camera abilities. You'll enjoy this camera if you are looking for a smaller camera. I bought it because I didn't want to take my expensive DSLR on a family trip. This camera is a cross between point-and-shoot and a DSLR.

I chose this camera because of the flip-out LCD view screen, and I am happy with this feature; however, there are a few features that I do not like.1: I had to spend another $20 to purchase a USB cable that would fit the camera. I think that if a product requires a special fitting like this, that it should be included with the product.2: The lens cap is totally awkward to take off and put on because the clip is located near the center of the cap, rather than on the sides where it could be easily pressed (as in earlier Canon SLRs which I used for a number of years and never had a problem with).3: The on-off button is not well located and difficult to press (a sliding switch would have been much better).4: The flash unit does not automatically pop up when it is needed, rather has to be manually lifted before use.5: While I like saturated colors for my photos (and this unit can be set in program mode to do so), there is only one setting and I find that it is too much saturation. The Kodak camera that I am replacing with this one has a choice of three degrees of saturation.6: Although I've had the camera for a month now, I haven't been able to test the long-range focus, which some people have complained about.7. The same day as this Amazon.com request for a rating arrived, I received a notice that there is a problem with the rubber viewfinder on certain models of this camera, and it happens to apply to mine, so now I have to return the unit to Canon in order to have this repaired. Fortunately, the weather in my area happens to be dismal just now and I won't need it for a while yet.8: All in all, the camera is a huge disappointment. Canon no doubt thinks that the more buttons, dials, and switches, and settings the camera has, more people will like it because it makes them (the user) think they are smart. That is simply not true. Simplicity is always a wiser choice.

Canon SX50HS is a super-zoom and it does what it promises, and does it well. I have to admit, though, that many cameras by reputable makers (and there are many) deliver what they promise. It is more about what camera traits you are looking for. So, I would suggest to anyone looking to buy one to google 'camera trait search' and get the whole picture.The SX50HS is a fixed lens camera (point and shoot, some would say), with 12.1 resolution (megapixels), and x50 zoom! The sensor size is 1/2.3 inch CMOS-type. That is just a number, but one that matters. Most point and shoots have a 1/2.3 inch sensor, so this is pretty standard.It has a viewfinder, which most point & shoots don't. The ISO rating is 6400 which makes it work better in low light. You will see chromatic aberrations much before 6400. But you don't need this high ISO unless you specialize. The video is a Full HD- that is 1980x1080 resolution. The camera gives you the option to control manually both the exposure and the focus. It has an external flash option, but the built-in flash should suffice under most situations. The LCD screen has a 461,000 resolution, which makes for convenient viewing. The camera allows RAW processing which would matter if you did not want to be limited by JPEG storage only. The burst rate is 2.2 frames per second. This is a heavier camera weighing 595 grams. The weight is a function of the big zoom. Compared to other big zoom cameras, the weight is not excessive and certainly not a liability.Overall, nice camera. Having been into photography for a while, I do stress though that you do a camera trait search. That will also tell you more about what you want.

This camera has amazing zoom and picture quality, especially considering its size/price.I've always been a Canon fan (all of my cameras have been Canon: each one has lasted many years of abuse!) and since I've had such good experiences with their cameras I purchased this one. It did not disappoint.I confess: I am not a pro-level photographer, nor am I really into photography as a serious hobby. However, I have a little knowledge/have taken digital photography courses, so I like that this model has some manual settings/options so that I can get fancy if I'm in the mood. Otherwise I just let the camera do the work for me!I travel a lot and like taking pictures of things/people/events that I want to remember. I specifically chose this model because it performs really well, but won't financially ruin me if it gets stolen/broken in the course of my travels. I LOVE that I can rely on this camera to take excellent images, while also focusing on enjoying my surroundings rather than sweating over losing a camera with a huge price tag. The worst part of losing this bad boy would be losing the pics you'd have on the memory card. And for that, with the Wifi feature, you can upload/backup your pics on the go while taking a break at a cafe for extra peace of mind.Also, while it certainly isn't nearly as compact as my Elph (the credit-card-sized camera I've used for the past 4 years), it isn't unreasonably huge. I personally prefer to be able to stash my camera in a small purse rather than walk around with a huge camera bag or worse yet, with a huge camera dangling around my neck.So, overall, I love it. Canon, you've got me for life! Keep making stuff like this and I'll keep buying from you.

I recently went on a 5 week trip to Hong Kong and China, and wanted a smaller, more flexible camera than my digital Nikon SLR. I took 2,800 pictures and a dozen video clips with this camera and it fit my needs almost perfectly. The incredible zoom capability was especially useful in two ways. First, I can frame any shot exactly the way I want it. With the old camera, I'd have to switch lenses or accept a shot which didn't frame the subject the way I wanted. Second, the extra long zoom provides the ability to take candid closeups of subjects which are fairly distant. It's also great for wildlife. I even used it as a telescope to read signs or examine things at a distance. The image stabilization works pretty well, though not 100% of the time. Sometimes I would have to take a second or third shot to get a good image when on high telephoto. The camera also compensated for low light very well up to a point. In early evening or indoor light, sometimes pictures would come out better without a flash than with it.The video clip capability works well, but eats up a lot of space and will shut off after a few minutes. It's really not a video camera. A couple of negatives - the viewfinder was worthless, but the screen is bright enough to use in the sun unlike some other cameras. Also, the video button is right where my thumb tends to rest when holding the camera, so it's easy to accidentally start a video.Overall, I'm very happy with this camera.

This is not a product review as I am planning to return the camera for deceitful practice by AMAZON. There was a limited time promotion on the camera when I ordered the camera. The bag and the memory card were advertised as part of the purchase price but they were not in the package when I received the camera.When I called the Amazon customer care, they said that they were not aware of promotion as it is no longer available and will have to forward it to their promotion department. The promotion department responded to the query by putting a link to another promotion which said that the bag and card should have been ordered with the camera. SERIOULY AMAZON !!! If you do not mention the brand of the case and card in the promotion how the heck will the customer know what to add. Do you expect us to guess? Also, if there was a promotion and you expected the customer to add the it to the order should you NOT have prompted me to add it if it was missing. Were you expecting to get away with providing the card and case if the customer forgets to add?The next time I called Amazon customer care to challenge the response and the customer care rep responded by apologizing for not having sent the case and card (That's why one star else it would have been no STAR!). But she was not able to send them to me now as the offer had expired and hence cannot be added to the cart to be shipped.The expectation was that AMAZON should have sent the case and card with the package as advertised and not rely on the customer to guess something and add it to order hoping that it will be waived at the time of order confirmation. Hopefully somebody @AMAZON reads the review and they do not advertise such fraudulent promotions in future.

I've owned a variety of top of the line SLR's. I took a Canon SX20IS to Europe with me 4 years ago, shot over 6000 pics and hours of video without out a misfire (on the camera's part) and have since passed it down to the next lucky owner. This camera does all I need without having to carry extra lenses, etc. Slightly lighter than the SX20, it still has the feel of a "real" camera, and most important, it too has a view finder. As I shoot 90% of my photos through the view finder, and under certain lighting conditions, the view finder is an absolute necessity. The mobile flip screen makes it possible to get those really creative and otherwise impossible shots. The photo quality is superb. I shoot on high resolution and I've blown these pictures up to 20x30 with unbelievable clarity. You can get 1200 pics on an 8 gb SD card with room to spare. This is a great camera for the above average amateur who wants to travel light. I did purchase the spare battery pack, to be sure of my power source. A small case of basic filters rounds out the purchase and you're good to go. My one concern was the power source. The SX20 used AA's, which is std world wide. But the battery in the SX50 seems to last a long time, so I feel comfortable with it now. Looking forward to many happy hours of use from this camera. There are numerouse adjustments which you can get creative with. Great little camera!

I have read many reviews about this camera, probably more than I had to but before I buy something I want to make sure I'm getting what I pay for. I knew I wanted a super zoom camera but since there are now so many different models available, the choice was a difficult one. The reason why I chose this two year old model over a newer one was that I found the sample images taken with this camera were better than others I have seen. That, coupled with some very good reviews written by people who have been using the camera for a while, prompted me to buy one. I have had it for over a month and I have not been disappointed. I bought the camera primarily for wildlife pictures and not only have I found the results very good, some of my friends who are avid photographers have also been very, very impressed. I would even say shocked, at the quality this camera is capable of producing.I won't go into detail about all the cameras features and settings because that is available all over the net and even here at Amazon. If it seems like I'm going overboard about the sx50 it's just that I have been so pleased with this purchase and have been having so much fun with this camera, I strongly recommend it to anyone who loves to take great pictures.Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words so check out some samples around the net and see, despite some one star reviews (which I don't understand why they are there) this really is an excellent camera.

I have recommended this very versatile camera to several people, because it is a great buy for the 50x features. I have been able to do nice macro at 50x at a distance of 1.3m with it. It's hard to use manual focus, and you need to know the custom settings to make this well for your applications. But, overall a remarkable camera. The reason for my lower rating here is that my camera suddenly stopped working a few weeks out of the warranty period (black screen), and Canon would not repair it, but offered to sell me a replacement. This camera was never dropped etc. and was working well until it suddenly stopped. I recommend that if you want this camera that you buy an extended warranty with it, since repair is apparently not an option. Be sure to keep all of your paperwork and be ready to send it in for replacement when the time comes. I've used many digital cameras for years, and this is not the first defect I have encountered, but it is the first time I had one that just stopped displaying what it saw. The display of pictures already taken and other features, including the zoom motor, still worked, so I assume either a software failure that could not reboot, or more likely a wiring or sensor failure.
