Великолепно

I love taking pictures of scenery, wildlife and my travels. I started out with SLR cameras and switched over to point and shoot with the SX10. I gave that away when I bought the SX20, sold that to buy the SX30 and now have that as a spare while having fun with the SX50. Each camera sets a new standard with ease of use, power of the zoom and quality of the pictures. I can take pictures of the craters on the moon, which just amazes everyone who sees them. Sunsets are amazing. Zooming in on birds at the top of a tree and seeing all the details in their feathers is just unbelievable. Best of all, it is all in one and so easy to carry around. No more camera bags full of different lenses. This camera does it all, and it does it so good that I haven't met anybody with a DSLR that can do what I do with this camera. Pros will disagree, but if you are not using it to make a living, you won't find an easier camera to use that does what this one does.The battery lasts all day, but I still want a second with me when I travel just because it makes me feel better that I don't have to worry about it dying on me. I also went with a 32 gig card so I never have to worry about filling it up or keeping track of a card once it's full.

Camera takes very good pictures. After using it for 2 weeks we find out the eye view window is recalled due to wrong chemical placed in plastic. We sent back not wanting to mess with getting fixed as we had less than a month.

I love taking pictures but my pics have never been very good. Not, that they're professional shots now but this camera makes my other pics look like a kid took them. I've been reading a few books on how to get better pics and I bought a few lenses to work with, though I haven't had much chance (should have bought a rain proof one I guess) to use them. I've still taken quite a few indoor and a few outdoor. My dog has become quite the camera ham. Even the cat isn't camera shy. Still have to fight my husband to snap any of him (maybe one of these days his finger will be healed and it won't be in the way of his face). I'm very happy with this camera so far and look forward to many happy beautiful pics. I wasn't really sure if I would like the wide angle lens or if I should have gone for the DSL, but I think I made a good choice. I think maybe later I will invest in the DSL too just for fun.

have been a canon user for 20+ years. this version replaced an earlier powershot. cannot say enough about this device. substantial improvements made. very thoughtful design. the flip screen is absolutely a must. very very pleased. highly recommended.

Amazing zoom lens. I can get fabulous photos of the moon, hand held showing every crater. Light weight, and no extra lenses to haul around in case you need them. This camera does it all and produces very sharp images.

Cannon stuff is just top notch by me. I got this as a backpack special, field camera for places I don't want to take my 5dIII and lenses. I still want a good photograph, even in very dusty, dirty day hikes. This Canon is what we chose for our lightweight backpack kit. It is nice. Love the pictures from my "in harms way" shooter.

First off, thank you so much to Sammy Camera. they went out of the way to correct issue with shipping due to FEDEX driver. this camera is amazing, the zoom is just outstanding. SX50 allows you to zoom in so close, unlike a DSLR, no switching lenses which makes me a happy father taking pics and video from my children performances.

I just got my Canon Powershot SX50 HS from Amazon.com. This camera is totally awesome. I have the predessor SX20is and I was very happy with my old Canon. The comliments I got for the pics I took with the SX20is were multiple due to the outstanding quality of the photos. I took my new Canon out for a test drive today. I am blown away by my new Canon. I was speechless when I saw my 1st pics. Total ease of use is incredible. The zoom is just plain miraculous. I can see objects in my pics that were not visible to the naked eye. The only negative comment I have to say regarding this incredible camera is that Canon should have kept the use of AA batteries as opposed to the propriatery Canon 10L Lithium Ion battery. I overcame this handicap by purchasing 2 more stand-by batteries. I would not want to be out on a shoot and run out of juice. I doubt this is going to happen with a total of 3 batteries on board.I have decided to keep my old Canon as it is still a gr8 camera and a nice back-up to my New and totally awesome SX50 HS. I've been into photography for a long time. I remember having a mirrored Rokor 300mm fixed focus lens and I thought it was awe inspiring. My Canon SX50 HS with its incredible ZOOM is much better !!!I'm a very happy camper with my new Canon.. Of course I will tell all of my friends about this new & wonderful camera from Canon :)

I'm giving the rating 3 stars for now as I haven't really used the camera because when it was opened on Christmas morning there was no 16GB memory card or carrying case as stated would ship with when I made the order. Somewhat disappoint on that aspect.

I have owned a number of Canon cameras over the years and for a inexpensive point and shoot camera, this is one of the best so far. Hard to believe the features that this little camera has especially the range of the lens i.e. 28mm to nearly 700 mm. telephoto . Great for photos in extremely low light situations without a flash too.

I really enjoy this camera's versatility. Get to know the different modes as they are quite useful. I've been using for a couple months now, and have not yet mastered the manual modes, but suffice it to say you can achieve excellent pictures in diverse shooting conditions. I would recommend this for someone who doesn't care to learn to use an SLR but wants much of the functionality. The auto mode is fantastic for almost every kind of shot.

I got this camera mainly because of the zoom capabilities. When I got it, I started taking pictures just to see what the zoom really is. I started off taking pictures of the trees around my neighborhood. I was amazed, even at the 200x digital zoom, I was taking pictures freehand. With one tree, it is about 120 feet tall and 150 feet from where I was standing. I got some shots of the branches at the top that were so clear and close that you could see there were leaf buds on them and they looked like they were right in front of my face and there was no blur. Then I took some pictures of a mountain that is about 25 or so miles away. I was completely blown away by the zoom and the detail that this camera brings out. There are some cell towers on top of it, and you can see them plain as day kind of like you are about a mile away from them. Then I got one of the side of the same mountain and you can actually see trees, the outlines of all of them, etc. All the pictures I took are set on auto. The antishake mechanism works like you wouldn't believe also. Like I said I am completely amazed with this camera, it was definitely a wise purchase. My wife and I are going on an Alaskan cruise next year, and I am really excited to be taking this camera with us!!!!

I've been buying Canon cameras for as long as I can remember. This camera came out just two months after I purchased my SX10, which I have taken well over 10,000 shots with. A friend told me all about this camera as he had the patience to wait. I've seen many of his photos and I have to say it has some really fantastic features. While I love the super zoom, one had better have it mounted on a tripod. The Image Stabilization (IS) just doesn't do much to improve the photo if shot hand held and zoomed out (equivalent 1200mm) maximum. I have come to appreciate the NB-10L 7.4v--920mAh battery pack & quick charger that comes standard with this camera.

I did a lot of research before picking this camera. My main reason for getting this camera was the super zoom for wildlife and outdoor pics, and I wanted a camera for concerts, so I could get better close up pics. So far I am very very pleased. My daughter has been using the camera to take video's of her boyfriend's band, and they are all amazed at the quality of the pics and the sound. I am not a professional - so for all those people out there looking for a good camera without having to take a lesson in photography - this is the one. The price was very reasonable for the quality pictures that you will get. The only thing is the camera is a bit bulky so if you are trying to sneek it past a security check point at a concert you will not be able to do it. So make sure they allow personal cameras.

I could not rate the SX50 with 5 stars because it is difficult to focus on flying/ moving objects. Otherwise the camera is great, I keep it with me all of the time. It is light and easy to carry around, takes great picutres and can zoom in like big expensive lenses.

POOR DESIGN - SELF TIMER KEEPS GETTING HIT!! HMMMReally Canon? You guys need to do better than that, we have big hands here in the United States!!! Maybe you need to add a big handed staff for your testing...Otherwise, seems to be a good camera... I plan to put some rubber with adhesive (used for the bottom of chairs) to help alleviate the problem of hitting the self timer EVERY TIME!... hmmm Cant believe the leader in camera's would do such a thing... buy at your own risk!Pros: 50x zoom, face recognition, auto focus, and digic 5 processorCons: hitting buttons while taking simple photos, very frustrating having to turn off things you never intended on using. POOR DESIGN...

The form of this camera is small. My wife has small hands and this is perfect for her.We simply leave it on auto and it takes great photos. Just what we needed and you look cool doing it!I have no doubt this camera is capable of many things in the hands of a knowledgeable photographer. We're not that person and it still works great!

Well, did not get the memory stick or the case. That is why you get 1 star! If it was not crunch time for Christmas I would have returned it. I had to go out and purchase the memory stick and case myself at an additional costs of $44.00.

The top, High End, Point and Shoot Cameras, are all very similar..Sony/Nikon/Canon/Olympus..this is the only one that still has a view screen that pivots all the way around for you to see a self portrait or a Vlog or a Picture with your Kids...etc...for ME, that made this My ONLY choice, as we vlog on youtube and send Family videos around on Facebook......why on earth none of the other camera makers think this is important is beyond me. Amazing Camera/zoom/picture & Video quality?...YES!...they ALL do..but if you vlog..and happen to care about what is in your screen...get this camera...hope this humble opinion was helpful to the millions of people active on Youtube..or sharing videos on Facebook.

I got this camera to take nature shots and I think it is just so-so on picture quality. Sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don't. Often times they look a little blurry. I can reset all settings to factory default and go to take a simple picture, like of a duck on a pond...and the image is good but it's not crisp and clear and I need to take a bunch of shots to just get one good one in the bunch. I think it is heavily dependent on the lighting outside too, it performs really well in sun. I've gotten some great shots on sunny days. So someone who lives in a sunny area is going to review it differently because chances are they are getting consistent brilliant pictures.The zoom is pretty incredible and I can't believe how far I can see with it and the shots that I'm getting even at full zoom (up to 100%)The focus can also be a little wonky where it doesn't want to focus in on what you are trying to get it focused on.I don't regret buying it because I love the zoom and I've gotten some great shots with it, but it can be a frustrating camera at times due to the hit and miss aspect of it.

I bought the camera on Lillian Stokes recommendation. It had a length of 24 to 1200mm. I really wanted the long end. It is a camera that is small and light so I could easily walk around with it. While I like it a lot, there are some problems with it. The controls are very complicated, but there is is no hard copy manual, only a computer disk. it does almost everything a DSLR does including shooting in raw. It has almost no time delay when you push the shutter button. Many of the great features only work in certain modes, or jpg which was a problem for me. I shoot in raw, aperture, or shutter priority, so the noise reduction doesn't work. Images look great on the LCD screen, but when viewed on the computer, there was a lot of noise even at ISO400, with little detail. The camera comes with a tethered lens cap, but no lens shade so glare could be a problem. There is an adaptor for the lens front so you can add a lens shade and filters. The Canon adapters are out of stock everywhere. I got an off brand one, but it wouldn't go on. I have enjoyed using the camera, but can't use the pictures for anything serious due to the noise.

This more than meets my needs for nature photography. The ability to get the long shot. Would greatly appreciate more night time flexibility. Canon's 'wheel' adjustment is still lacking in ease of use.

I needed this camera for video blogging and also to make pictures. You might think "ok... for vlogging you can purchase a cheaper camera" but I won't invest in a camera just for that. This camera has a greeeeat zoom! Last night I pointed at a far building and used the 50X zoom. it was amazing. I took me a while to stop shaking the camera so it could focus, but when I did, the picture came ot perfect. Also took a few pictures of my dog with a beautiful closeup and the camera did a great job. Tried with a video and zoomed while filming and there was no noise at all!! At least I could not hear it. Video quality and sound were great. I am not a Pro Photographer, but I loove to take pictures everywhere I go and this camera is not heavy, and is easy to carry, so its great for taking pictures while going out for a walk. The Con i have for this type of camera is that they cannot go into the water and I also take lots of pictures on vacations, but for that I have my Olympus Though Camera ;)Happy Shopping!

I've had this camera for about six months now and as for the bridge cameras it holds its own as far as very good image quality, great zoom and great image quality on up to the 1200. The only thing that I found was the video button is right by the thumb rest and unknowingly I've hit that button and had several videos of the ground as I was walking. The view finder does not give a good image, but, the pic's come out great anyways. I have read that Canon is coming out with an improvement for the SX50. Has anyone out there heard this also, if so what info do you have?Hawk

Takes great pictures, easy to use....you don't need a PHD to operate...I would recommend it to anyone who takes a lot of photos and doesn't want to sink hundreds of dollars in a camera.

Another home run from Canon ! Packs most of the features that an amatuer would desire in an DSLR along with a 50X zoom, which is perfect for a novice photographer. The auto-focus is the icing on the cake, that takes care of hard to focus far-away objects.Excellent point-n-shoot camera.

Got it because it has a thru the viewfinder feature. Use the flip out often when i hold the camera high to get 'over the crowd' shots. Also love the sport 5 shot burst. Highly recommend this camera.

This is my 3d generation of the Canon's megazooms: SX30, SX40 and now SX50. I keep buying the newer models as each newer one gets much better. This one is no exception. Nobody else has 50x zoom right now. Image stabilization is very impressive - one can even take the 50x shots handheld. Macro is quite good. Processing speed got much faster. I enjoy the adder Raw capability and the shutter release input. I love the menus.Things to improve:*Canon - get rid of the useless viewfinder. It adds bulk and price and delivers nothing.*Stop overwriting the manual settings. Let the photographer make mistakes and learn from them.*Unzooming to find the subject with one click of a button should be done much wider*Make thread for the lens without the adapter.*Articulated display should stay in the next model (g15 was a huge disappointment compared to g12 because the lack of articulated display). It should have a 1000k+ pixels, as opposed to the pathetic 400k+ pixels that the current model has.*Canon - consider making this camera with a little bit larger sensor (maybe call it a differnt model). I know, the lens would have to increase in size, but having the capability to increase the ISO above 100 and not loose quality is very important.*I would like to see image stabilization even better at large zoom and at macro.* Keep the buttons where they were on the previous model. The position and feel of the buttons in this model is much worse than on the previous one.Still, with the items I would like to be changed, this is a great camera! Highly recommend!
