Великолепно

So easy to use. I'm still getting the hang of all the bells and whistles. I don't think I would ever want the bigger models with massive lenses because I am studiying the work of some of the photo journalists and artists who worked with smaller Leicas and Nikons and other older model cameras. This one pushes me to work and not just rely on the automatic settings. It is so much fun. I go on "Photo Safaris" and challenge myself to look and see the world around me.

The inner ring that you would put a lense or adapter ring comes off. I sent one camera back to be replaced and the same thing happened to the new one. If you buy this. Camera do not buy attachments

Initially, I was having trouble getting used to the controls on this camera, especially when doing manual focus, but over time, and with some practice, the controls are workable. It just takes some getting used to. What's great about this camera is the zoom and the ability to capture images in RAW format. This allows you to take some really incredible photos you would have no way of getting otherwise. Of course, when you are shooting with the zoom all the way out, you might notice some loss of resolution, but overall, the sky is literally the limit with this camera. I also like its relative size and weight compared to a full-sized DSLR. I would take this camera anywhere I didn't want to lug my regular DSLR and would feel quite confident of being able to get some great images. It is a good camera with amazing telephoto possibilities.

this camera is for my wife. she love the super zoom and the look-like pro camera .its totally auto for the pics and is very fast so is nice not to lose the faces of my daughters, always happen with the cel phone camera. the flash is a little small I think but to close pics it ok, the good thing is it have a hot point for external and bigger flash. The battery life is good enough to take a lot of pictures before it drain. it will be good a Wi-Fi conection o something like that but for the price I guess is ok. about the price I get this with the case and a 32g memory for about 30 $ less that the price of best buy (camera only) so it was a pretty good deal

I purchased this Cannon Camera because a neighbor of mine has one. I used it at Christmas time and was convinced that this is the Camera that I wanted to purchase for a long time. There are so many Cameras on the market that I was confused as to which one would fit my needs. When I had the chance to use the one that my neighbor owns I was sold on it and ordered one the next day. It takes beautiful pictures. The zoom is great because it allows me to get a close up shot without my being close up. I just love this Cannon Camera. I now consider it my Christmas present to myself.

This is top of the line for what it is: a super-zoom point and shoot camera. The lens is excellent, providing great range and a nice wide-angle when not extended. Low-light performance is good. Don't expect this camera to defy the laws of light and optics. There are many reviews that provide substantial details about how well the camera operates. Read through those before deciding this is what you are looking for. It will take some time to filter through all of the information in the .pdf of the operations guide to understand and utilize the full potential of the camera but you can take great pictures right from the start in auto mode in decent light.

I have not had this camera very long yet and I am still "playing" with it. I am very satisfied with it. I use this camera for photos of my grandkids and hope to use it for my hiking and biking trips. I wish it came with a hard copy of the owners manual because I have problems on the Canon website.

Great camera, for those that don't want to spend top buck on a DSLR. This one, as many have stated is a great family camera. I am just learning all the features it has, it takes great video and the picture images. I am just starting as an amateur photographer and I am very happy with. It does have some issues with taking pictures at night, but you just have to adjust your ISO and settings accordingly. Not a DSLR quality but close, Read reviews throughout the internet, watch reviews on youtube. As a hint, buy an extra battery, the video mode takes a toll on power. Absolutely recommend it.

Took this camera to Disney World. Did not want to lug my big Digital SLR. This camera took great pictures and video. There is a slight hesitation in taking pictures and you don't get that instantaneous shot like with a SLR but overal very good camera.

I'm really really disappointed I order this camera and they collected half of the cost price and they never send the camera. I feel like a victim of this situation and yet they never even sent me a message or a notification of the reason why they did this to me. And in the place where I live, money is not easy to earn. I feel like they are abusing me. P.s. It was a friend of mind who gave me is money to buy it for him,,what do I suppose to say to him now?I better find his money to give back to him. OMG!

This is a great camera for the price. I use it for travel and bird photography. My other bird camera, the Nikon P-510 is a great camera but doesn't have the reach of the Canon at the telephoto end. However, the Canon's focusing ability is greatly reduced when shooting thru a window at my hummingbird feeder. Perhaps manual focus might work but the birds are so fast that time is often only in seconds. It doesn't have an ability to accept filters. One has to buy a filter adaptor kit from Vivitar or Wal-Mart. My Vivitar kit includes a collapsible hood and three filters: UV, polarizer and sky filter. The lens cap stuck and had to be pried off with a screw driver. The sound quality of the video is in my opinion subpar compared to a camcorder but I think that is generally the case with DSLR cameras. Best thing is that that it is the first super zoom with 50X to offer RAW format - for true sharpness this is a necessity for large enlargements.

I think I understand technology. But so far have not been able to translate what Canon writes into getting my camera connected to my WiFi. WE run a restaurant and want to upload pictyures directly to our Facebook page.Will try again when I have more time.

I have had the SX10, SX20, SX30, and onward. This obviously is the best of the bunch. The addition of a RAW option completes this experience for me. You would spend many thousands of dollars getŹting a similar optical zoom hooked onto your DSLR body for similar effects. Admitted this is a Powershot point-and-shoot camera and as such its sensor has its limitations. You are not going to get the visual clarity of a T3i, T4i, T5i, etc. But for a relatively inexpensive zoom "bridge" camera, this does the job quite nicely. I am especially pleased with the battery capability. Prior models have required AA's, but the lighter, proprietary battery makes the SX50 much lighter to tote. I picked up several extra batteries on line for cheap and they work just well as the official Canon ones. Optical stabilization is very helpful, especially when using the lens out to its full zoom lengths. Digital zoom is fun to play with, but you don't use it for anything other than seeing the moons of Jupiter (which I have done). The vari-angle LCD is a little bigger and makes shooting in the dark much easier. The drawbacks? It has a slower lens that some others in this category, so low light photography is not so great. Considering its other features, though, it's a bargain for what Canon has packed into it. After almost a year's use, it's still my favorite. Highest recommendations the SX50 HS, especially at the price I see now.

This doesn't look or act like your typical point and shoot camera but it's very easy to use and I have no problems with it. It's not the kind of camera you can slip in your pocket obviously but it is a nice size. My only complaint might be how washed out the photos look when using the flash and you really need the flash all the time indoors to prevent the motion blur.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas because she was unhappy with our 5 year old point and shoot digital camera. It has a nice compact design which makes it easy to carry in a bag when traveling. It takes nice clear pictures. It has a reasonable fast shutter time to take the next picture. The optic zoom works great and zooms at a comfortable speed so you're not waiting too long or over zoom too quickly. It has a bunch of advanced features we probably won't use but are fun to have. She likes it a lot.

I purchased this camera so I could get decent photos from the stands when my daughter was performing in field show band. I'm definitely not disappointed. I did a lot of research and saw that this camera got decent reviews. I was able to get pretty clear pictures from high in the stands down to the field. Even at the championships in the Syracuse Carrier Dome, I could zoom right in on her on the field and could see her face clearly. I'm very pleased with this camera. I'm sure there are a lot more functions to it that I just haven't learned yet but hope to soon. The only downfall is that it's pretty large so I can't tuck it away in my purse. Other than that...great camera!

Haven't had the time to really check out all the features on this camera yet, other than sort of cursory. So many! I doubt I'll ever learn everything this camera can do. However, so far so good. The only thing I wished Canon would have done, is to provide a written manual instead of having to go online to either print it (some 280 pages) yourself of try to browse through it on one's own.

This camera is extremely well made. The versatility is amazing and it will take me quite a bit of time to explore all the features. I bought it for the 50x lens. I want to take outdoor shots for the most part, however, I have used it indoors and am surprised at the quality of the shots. Learn how to handle this camera because the controls are very sensitive. You wouldn't want to miss a shot because your finger slightly touched one of the controls. Stick with it and I am sure you will find it fulfills many if not all of your photographic needs.

I have been taking photos for a long time, always using advanced compact fixed lens cameras, I bought this one to upgrade to a camera with a few more capabilities. I have only had it a couple of weeks and so far I am very pleased. The camera is light weight so I don't get tired carrying it around. I can move the LCD in any direction I don't bother with the viewfinder at all, though I like the idea that there is one. It shoots RAW as well a JPEG so I have a choice. The 50X zoom allows me to zoom in and recompose without moving the tripod. I've already purchased an adapter ring, a polarizing filter and some diopters. I missed the capability to use filters on my last camera. My Grandson plays soccer and I plan to do moving images of his games. The more I use the camera the more I like it.

I liked so much! The zoom is extraordinaire. No noises. Just need attention in one point: the manual function has some settings fixed, so you can't change some :(If you want to use manual, buy a dslr. For travels, and risk to learn, sx50 is a very good camera!

The pictures come out clear and bright even in low light. I chose this camera because it connects toThe internet. I don't have to transfer with a cord to my computer. It is a little difficult to access the right settings to transfer though. The instructions in the manual are of no use.

I loved my powershot SX35 IS, but when I saw that the SX50 was a 50x zoom I thought all the better to have more zoom. Yes, the zoom is good, but Canon switched the location of the damn video button, which I use ALL the time, from the left side of the finger hold to the right side, so that now, not only do I have to re-train my fingers to go to a different location to record videos than they've been going to for more than 10 years with my various Canons, I CAN'T easily hold the camera with one hand and move my thumb from the camera hold to the start video button like I could when the button was towards the center of the camera! Plus, I am always mistakenly going to the wrong button, thus missing some great video. And to my further dismay, I find that I accidentally start video recording by mistake because the button is on the edge of the camera, so that I am using up valuable card space for shaky recordings of my lap or my surroundings! I therefore give the Canon PowerShot SX50 two thumbs down.

I wanted a "pleasant" camera that was trouble-free to use. This camera takes good quality pictures! I particularly wanted a camera that works fine in low light since the cheap cameras I have now are terrible with that. We were able to take good photos in front of the tree with only the tree lights on and they turned out grand!

I am very pleased with the quality and features of this camera. It is very versatile and takes very good pictures for a point and shoot camera. The only objection I have found so far is that the view finder does not feel very comfortable and clear to me.There are many features to this camera and I have not taken the time to explore many of them. It is much more versatile than most point and shoot cameras and therefor requires more effort to explore them all if you want to use all of features available.I bought this camera for my wife because she was not happy with the quality of some of the pictures she was taking with a smaller sized camera. I saw some pictures taken by a friend with this model and was amazed at the quality of pictures that were taken.I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a camera that will take high quality pictures that does not require the size and expense of SLR cameras and lenses.

I was familiar with the camera before I ordered it. I had checked it out at a local store and also watched several reviews on You Tube. Also, a friend of mine has one. So I knew what I was getting. I wanted an easy to use camera with a (relatively) high-power telephoto lens primarily for wildlife photography. This camera has that, but also does HD video and has a really neat macro function. Not being a teenager, or a camera buff, and only having had the camera for a few weeks, I'm still learning. But most functions seem relatively straight forward. I also purchased a couple 16 GB cards, but these hold a huge number of pictures and you may not require one that large. The rechargeable battery is easy in/out and recharges (usually) in an hour or so. I've not had other cameras like this, other than a Canon SLR film camera several years ago, so I really can't compare it with other brands or similar devices. But at this point I have no con's to report regarding the camera.

Normally, I shoot Nikon but I needed a camera I could take with me kayaking and hiking without lugging my pro gear all over putting my equipment at risk. This camera has met almost every expectation I had. The impressive zoom will really go all out and has a reach that far exceeds my pro tele lens. I use this a LOT for birding. I was able to nicely photograph baby eagles in the nest from at least 600 or more feet away with a lot of detail. There are a lot of pros with the SX50. It's lightweight, great zoom, focuses well. It's best use is in full sun. It is really hard to get the shutter speed up on days with lesser lighting. The ISO can be cranked up but I have found this camera to lose image quality quickly with ISO over 200. Indoors with the flash it does a pretty good job also. The flash isn't very powerful though. The most aggravating thing I found is the dimness of the viewfinder. I was used to the clarity of my gear so that has been a switch for me. That would be one thing I would really suggest Canon upgrade on future models in this series. For what I use this camera for, I am happy with it. It doesn't replace the dslrs I work with on a pro basis. Keeping in mind the limitations and for what I use if for, I and quite a few other personal friends of mine, are very happy with it.

This camera has a learning curve, especially to take advantage of all the unbelievable features. We have gotten some stunning results out of it, and the zoom is all it promises. The viewfinder is not nearly as good as on my 7D, but that's a camera that costs almost four times what this one does. I paired the Powershot up with an inexpensive Vivatar wireless remote that provides a way of taking bird shots with the camera on a tripod, from long ranges. Camera is well worth the money, and the learning adventure is fun.

Just received this for an upcoming trip so I haven't had a chance to use it. I do like that it is light but has features of a heavier, more bulky camera. I've had both compact and bulky and wanted something that takes good pictures but is in between. It has a nice zoom and the screen is large. I also like that it is wifi compatible and shoots movies as well. Looking forward to using it in 10 days!

For those looking for some super technical review, this will probably disappoint. I consider myself a recreational photographer at best. The best feature in my opinion is the 50X zoom. I recently took it on a day trip to Vermont and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this camera. I only used the "auto" setting. The colors are bright and very crisp. Another thing that impressed me was a picture that I took on Mt. Equinox in Manchester Vt. The day I was there it was a bit hazy. Both myself and my brother-in-law (who has a Pentax) took pictures of the same scenery. While his clearly showed the haziness of the day, you could not even detect it with this camera. The battery life seems pretty decent (although I will make up my mind more definitively as time goes by). I zoomed in on a bee that was on a flower from at LEAST 10 yards away and it looked like I had the camera practically on top of it. The last camera I had was another Canon back in the day that I was also very happy with as well. Again....no super technical observations found here. But in a nutshell.....very happy that my research led to this purchase!

It is incredibly light. Unlike other cameras I have owned I always carry this one with me while hiking, birding etc and avoid the to carry or not to carry debate. The zoom is incredible and takes photos super-fast. I like that the settings are adjustable and being able to record video with 50x optical zoom is great. The picture quality is not of a large SLR but still good. The only real complaint is it is not very good at taking pictures of birds in flight; otherwise this camera is a knockout for distant nature photography.
