I had one of these pieces of junk for about 6 months. Set up was easy. Using it was difficult. Basically it refused to pick up paper and then said it was jammed. Didn't matter whether I tried the paper tray or manual feed, it just wouldn't take the paper. Happened virtually every time I tried to print anything using regular copy/laser printer paper or letterhead paper or envelopes. I finally put it out on the curb for the trashmen to take, it was such junk I didn't want to take it to Goodwill. Bought a Brother HL2140 on sale at Staples or Office Depot/Max, not sure which, for $49.99 and the Brother has been great. Stay far away from this P.O.S.

I got the "compatible" toner first for my Samsung ML-2510 to save some money, but it had an obvious defect. So then I decided to order an OEM toner, and the difference is pretty big.It was quickly shipped and arrived within a few days, and best of all it works perfectly in my printer with high quality (for this type of printer) prints. I would recommend this OEM toner over the off-brand stuff anyday. It's just not worth the risk.

I previously owned the Samsung ML-2510 printer. It lasted for over two years and then refused to feed the paper. I tried various techniques to soften the `Rubber Feed Roller'. To no avail! Then I realized the problem was my fault. The ML-2010 and the ML-2025 are not printers that you can leave on for extended periods of time. #When my computer was on, my ML-2010 was on!# Sometimes for hours and even days! I finally woke up. The heat of the printer case was baking the rubber feed roller!!! The heat generated by a laser printer bakes feed rollers. Especially Samsung's entry level Laser Printers. Here is the solution. Turn your printer on when you need to print. After the printing is completed turn the printer off! I am into my first eight months with the `upgraded ` model of the 2010. The ML-2025. #The printers are almost identical# Try this solution and your printer will last for at least 3 years! I learned the hard way.

I've tried to save money on toner replacements by buying remanufactured toners. Occasionally they work fine, but one was missing parts, one had a dead spot on the drum, one left spots on the paper, and one came with a thick, messy coat of toner powder all over it. Never had a problem with an original Samsung cartridge and I won't waste any more time with the refills. Product works great, and the 1-star deduction is because the cartridge is, well, kind of pricey.

I spent $65 to buy the Samsung Cartridge. It turned out this is a rebuilt Samsung Cartridge. The box is a real Samsung box. But the cartridge was a rebuilt Samsung cartridge. I sure can get a rebuilt Samsung cartridge for about $30. This is a misleading product. Be careful!

I've had this printer for 3 years now. The amazing thing is I havne't done any maintenance whatsoever, not even replacing the ink cartridge. I'm the only one who uses this printer but I do use it quite a bit for my home based business. I have a Brother fax machine that needed ink replacement w/in 4 months, but this Samsung printer works without a glitch in the 3 years its been in service. That is the quality I have come to expect from Samsung products.Yes it is loud, but no louder than other laser printers I've dealt w/at the office. I don't print graphics so I can't comment on that. But the text is smooth like you would expect from a laser printer. And it is plenty fast once it warms up!

Add a ChecksNet CheckToner MICR cartridge and you have a fast little desktop printer to make magnetically encoded checks. The ML-2525 is faster, quiet and doesn't jam paper like other Dell, Hp and prior model Samsungs I've had on my desk. paper tray holds 250 sheets which is almost double other under 4100 B&W laser printers.

Printer is still in warranty...thank goodness. It has been in the shop twice over the last month. The first time for the part that senses the paper. The technician has to call Samsung and find out what is wrong and order the right part the second time around. Until this time, have been very happy in terms of everyday use. But clearly this is cheaply an poorly built and would not recommend it. This is the last Samsung printer I intend to buy. Also...the manual feed for single sheets and envelopes doesn't work the best. Paper doesn't always go in straight.

This Samsung printer is well worth the money. It's compact, relatively easy to set up even for a novice, and simple to use. The print quality is perfectly adequate for my purposes (mainly word processing) and the speed is outstanding. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased the Samsung ML-2510 Monochrome Compact Personal Laser Printer because it was a good price and that the reviews I read stated that it was a good printer. I couldn't agree more! I purchased the printer 12/4/09 and haven't had any problems with it and I use it everyday for business. If you need a fast reliable printer at a good price this is it.

This toner cartridge is very easy to install - you simply pull out the old one and shove in this new one. No levers or anything to fiddle with. In the process, I didn't get any toner on me or anything; nice for quick changes in the office. Starting from the very first page printed, output was crisp and clear, no smudging or smearing at all. I've had zero problems with this OEM product - I've worked with generic replacements and refills and such, and had all of the problems that I'm NOT having with this one, so I will never work with generic toner replacements again. Just buy the original. It's definitely worth the extra.

After years of toiling with the inkjets, I switched to laser about 3 years ago, and this is the printer I bought. It prints only in black and white, but I had to ask myself, when do I actually need color prints? That's right, I never do and I never did, so for a person who just needs prints, then black and white should be more than auspicious.For instance, I like to print off webpages of information that I find useful, directions from google maps plus more directions, and loads and loads and loads of resumes. So basically I bought this printer to print a lot, and I mean a lot of prints. I put this Samsung through the ringer, let me tell you. For 3 years now, I have had not one problem, not one. This prints very very high quality black and white prints and it can do so in bursts or bits. I mean for a job that a professional mammoth printer/copier would be needed for, this has handled conciliatory perfect. I would recommend this to the college student, the mom, the kid, and the whole family. There isn't one person I couldn't recommend this too. Yes, the replaceable laser cartridge costs around 75 dollars to replace, but you knew that before you bought a laser didn't you? For a rough estimate, I printed day in and day out for about a year and half before the cartridge needed replacing.What you will be getting:- Compact printer- Dust cover for the paper, for those sedentary times when you don't print.- High Quality Black and White Prints, no color.- Easy setup out of the box- High amount of prints before replacing cartridgeThis printer is the best I've owned for my needs, and I suggest if you want reliability and durability, buy the ML-2510.

This little guy will make your dreams come true, then implode. It worked fine for the first toner cartridge (which dried up a bit on the early side), now has so many paper-feed problems I only use this heap as a last resort.My advice: if you can get an insane deal/rebate (talking 30 clams here, not 50), go for it. Use it for the life of toner cartridge and go your separate ways. From there, use it for recycling credit when you buy your next one.

Great printer. Good quality prints, efficient on ink, and prints fast.I had the feeding problem as well after 2 years of use but it's an easy fix. This problem actually plagues most laser printers/copiers that uses a rubber paper feeder. The simple fix is to wipe the rollers with rubber rejuvenator (also sold on Amazon)Caig Laboratories RBR100L-25C RUBBER REJUVENATOR 25ML CAIKLEEN RUBBER CLEANER.Might be a hassle to some but I have come to learn that everything these days needs some kind of maintenance done if you want them to last.

A few years back, I bought a Samsung CLP-510 color laser printer. A short time after I had it, it started displaying a message "Replace Waste Toner Container," even though it sure looked like the bin was 90% empty. After trying to clean out my container (big messy mistake!) I bought one somewhere else and that seemed to work. Then, it happened again -- on a mostly empty container! Some web searching let me to a site documenting a problem with the CLP-510 and a "weak sensor" that would go bad, and no longer detect the container properly. Samsung had no area repair center, so they shipped me a replacement, and it worked well... Until recently.Again, the new one started displaying this message, and after another messy mistake trying to clean it out, I broke down and ordered a new container from Amazon. I popped it in, and same error. This printer is having the "weak sensor" issue as well.So, before you spend your money, check around -- you may not even need this, as it might not fix the actual problem.

For a printer fraught with printing problems, it is expensive at $500 + $500 for toner cartridges. We had problems with it right out of the box. After 1 month and many calls to Samsung's Tech Support to solve a myriad of printing & networking problems, we finally got it up and running (briefly).Printing on paper seems to be a substantial problem for the CLP600. Samsung Tech Support informed me: 1. Samsung doesn't approve use of ANY CARDSTOCK paper 2. Samsung doesn't approve use of lighter weight paper 3. Samsung doesn't approve use of ANY BROCHURE-weight paper 4. Samsung doesn't approve use of glossy paper 5. Samsung doesn't approve use of our engraved business letterhead 6. Standard weight paper, 20# and 24# also incurs paper-jams.** (I am not sure if Samsung actually approves the use of paper in their printer) **. # 1 PROBLEM: CONSTANT PAPER JAMS - even on "Samsung-approved weight paper". This problem is exacerbated when paper jams & shreds inside the inner-workings of the machine. When bits of shredded paper grind the printer to a halt, Samsung Tech Support only suggests repairs by an authorized repair center because the shredded paper cannot be removed without dismantling the machine.Ordinarily, paper jams are only frustrating, but when paper shreds deep inside the machine, we incur costly shipping expenses and long-term, down-time. Even with a 3-year extended warranty, it is very expensive to ship the 45-lb printer to the nearest `authorized` repair center 140 miles away. The machine is much too huge for our large sedan, so it must be picked up by UPS.Paper-jams are inevitable with any double-sided printing.These problems have yet to be corrected by Samsung. I must emphasize how much I REGRET THIS PURCHASEMy confidence in Samsung and their interest in customer retention was further diminished after talking with "Melanie" in Samsung`s Customer Service / Tech Support. To quote Melanie, ``There is no way I'm going to talk to you about a paper-jam and I am NOT transferring you over to another agent to fix paper-jam problems!``.Buyers should be aware that the original cartridges sold with the printer are UNDER-FILLED with a minimal amount of toner. Soon after purchase, you will have to buy 4 new toner cartridges that will COST as much or MORE THAN THE PRINTER - $500.I give up! Does anybody want to buy this `lightly used` Samsung CLP600-N with new toner cartridges...cheap!?

I have owned this printer for about 4 months.It was doing OK until about 2 weeks ago. It gave us a message that we needed to replace something known as a Waste Toner tank. I bought a new on online even though I was a little skeptical that this had gone out before the toner. I installed the new tank but the error message kept on saying the same thing.I researched this a bit online and found others with the same problem It seems there is a problem with the light sensor. I tried cleaning everything off but no luck.This is when the real trouble started. I tried to contact Samsung support to get the product repaired. I started with their web site. It made me go through a series of trouble shooting steps (turn it off and on, unplug it etc.) but then offered no obvious way to get the device serviced. I tried a few paths through the support site. It may be they have a firefox issue but I could not get past the screen for troubleshooting to return the product.I then called and was sent to a level 2 tech. He said I needed to clean the device with a Q-tip. I informed him that it was brand new. He said I still needed to do this before we could do anything else. I said it doesn't look dirty at all. The thing had not been used. I finally said I don't have a Q-tip to get inside this thing. He told me to get one and call them back when I had tried it.I cleaned the unit that was already cleaned as best I could but the printer still gave the same error message. I called them back. I spent about 30 minutes more going through the same process. Finally someone told me that they knew the problem and they had to send me a replacement part. I said OK. He asked for the serial numbers which I gave to him. I had provided them on the site and it told me the unit was under warranty as it had been made on 2/2007. He then told me in order to get service I needed to fax them a receipt. I said I don't have one. He said that I was out of luck. I asked why they needed it since the unit was clearly under warranty even if I had bought it on the day you made it. He said no dice. It was policy. I asked to speak to his boss.This is when it got even better. I took the time to go through the experience I had had during the day. Instead of saying he was sorry or was going to help me he proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that their service was great. He finally told me to go down to the place where and I had purchased it to see if they could still get a receipt for me.I will never again by a Samsung product because of this and I will never again misplace a receipt...I hope.I have owned many competing brands like HP and Brother over the years but I went with Samsung this time because of cost. I guess you get what you pay for and I am going back to HP after this debacle.

Had it for a year in home environment. Already had to replace toner cartridge ($120), the laser cartridges are expensive and you have a waste toner tank that costs $15 every 2000 pages in addition to the toner which is pricy. Color is ok for graphs and presentations but horrible for photographs. My biggest complaint is reliabillty for a $400 printer. I will have to replace after less then 1.5 years.

I replaced my old and fancy HP 9130 and decided to take the HP to the office, since it was not a laser printer and "upgrade" to this. It's been horrible experience. Just as it turned one year old, after fewer than 500 copies, it started having problems pulling or grabbing paper from the tray. It stops and says paper jam, you then open and close the front, and try it again and again and again. To repair this almost new unit and get a new 90 day warranty is out of the question. I now feed in each sheet and help the paper by pushing it past the first 2" I hate the idea of throwing away something which was not cheap and with my usage should have had a 10 year life expectancy. So now this is more landfill crap from SAMSUNG.BTW the HP, which is now about 10 years old, is still working everyday at my office and generating and emailing PDF's every time without fail. This printer should have been recalled by Samsung because the unit has basic design flaws. NO MORE SAMSUNG FOR ME, EVER.

Look inside the printer and you'll see a black rubber roller that picks up the paper. The roller is prone to stop working. There are several things to do; the first thing to try is to just clean that roller with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Failing that, rough up the roller a bit by lightly scoring it with a sharp blade. Don't cut too deeply; the idea is just to give the roller a bit more grab.This isn't the only Samsung printer prone to this problem.It seems like I'm more likely to get this problem if I haven't used the printer for a while, but your mileage may vary.I hope this helps.

Bought it because needed a printer fast and this was on sale. Should be renamed the "PJ-2510" - for "PAPER JAM - 2510". Also, environmentally (if you care about recycling toner cartridges), Samsung does NOT accept back the used cartridges. And for a long time, even the brick & mortar stores would not accept them. Quality is reasonable. ALWAYS KNOWS WHEN YOU HAVE AN URGENT PRINT JOB - NEVER FAILS TO JAM AT THAT TIME. Amazon is great - this printer is not.Samsung ML-2510 Monochrome Compact Personal Laser Printer Also, cannot vouch for life of toner cartridge.

I have owned this Printer/Copier/Fax/Scanner for 19 months. The problems started right out of the box and have continued almost daily. Tech support was less than useless - it was down right frustrating. The problems include 1) Paper feeder jams; 2) ADF jams (usually on the last few pages of a multi-page fax/scan job. This requires teh entire task to be restarted); 3) Waste Toner error; 4) any other error that can occur will- anything that can go wrong will go wrong. I would NEVER reccomend this unit to anyone as a purchase unless you are a glutton for punisment.

Disclaimer: this review is NOT about the Samsung OEM toners, this is about the refurbished ones from Databazaar.My warning is: you play Russian roulette with this vendor when ordering the refurbished toners.I did, and ended up with a toner that started to print fainted pages after about a week or so of usage.I tried to shake the toner, among other things, to no avail.So take your chance with this vendor but don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm adding a big DITTO to these other reviews. Paper feed problem is driving me crazy. This printer may be rated high in other attributes, but none of it does any good if it won't feed paper. I don't have time to keep fixing it. Very poor engineering and quality control on this item. Won't buy another Samsung, that's for sure.

I was a Samsung ML-2010 printer owner for 2 3/4 years, and I was always happy with the laser jet print quality. As for paper jams, I found things to be middling. At times I could see a reason for the jam because of distortions in the paper, but other times I thought the printer really should not have jammed. The positive is that after the work to clear things out and washing my hands, it would recover. My ML-2010 was also durable as far as recovering from things like temporary disconnections or nonfunctioning, until about 4 months ago.I did have some problems with canceling print jobs from the computer; I am not sure how much that had to do with the printer, because it is a frequent problem with computers (settings/control panel).I was satisfied by the number of pages I got from the toner. Also, I had success with refurbished toner as well as new toner. Refurbished is worth it because you will get a better price, and you can find good prices if you look around.After 2 3/4 years, something went wrong with the printer connection to my computer. I purchased a different printer.

I got this printer over a year ago, and loved it. Quick, easy, never jammed, tonner lasted forever, etc.... Oh, and cheep ($65).Then, I upgraded to OSX 10.5, and the printer wouldn't work on my wireless network. Major letdown. I jumped through many hoops to get it to work, but it only prints via USB now.

Not really sure why the other reviewer commented negatively when the comment was not about the product but about the delivery. In any case if you have a Samsung printer that uses this toner, it is a great product. Never had any problems and this price is about as good as you can get for a non-refill type cartridge. I have not found it cheaper anywhere on the web.

It was good for about the first 100 sheets of paper. After that, the printer jammed constantly on the average 9/10. When I print, the printer pulls in the paper about 1/4 of the way and then it stops and the red light comes on. I have to pull the paper back and open and close the entry to the toner so it will reset. I have to repeat this several times until finally it would print successfully. The only reason, I still want to make this work is because I recently bought a replacement toner cartridge.I notice that the paper feed rubber under the toner is very dry and cracked. This could be the reason why it is not feeding the paper completely all the way.Samsung should do something to address this problem but apparently they have not in spite of all the reports of this printer's jamming problems.

I have had problems with this printer since day 1, I am on a mac and found it very difficult to network. Several long calls with inexperienced tech support people. When I finally got it up and running I had black chicken scratches every inch down the page. They did replace the cartridges after I had to mail in some examples of the problem and many phone calls. But after the chicken scratches were gone, my printed pages all had a gray tone. I was told it was the type of paper. I use bright white laser paper and no matter what the weight or brand, it always came out with a gray tinge. I called several times again and no one could tell me how to fix it. I gave up and went back to Kinkos to do my important printing job.I recently got a new router and had to call tech support to set it up again. I just thought I would ask this guy because he seemed pretty knowledgeable, though it took us another hour to get the network working. He asked me to do a simple test and print a blank page. It came out gray, he instantly knew it was the fuser. However, my computer is now out of warranty. This tech guy saw in my record that I had called in several times and that I was told that the paper was the problem while the printer was in warranty. They refuse to replace the fuser ($180) even though they have a record of it being faulty when it was under warranty.I, of course then spoke to his manager, Chuck U, employee #6100001867, who told me that the Service level department made their decision and there was no one else to talk to and no way to lodge a formal complaint with the company. For security reasons, he couldn't give me his last name or an address to send a letter, or an email address. He basically said I agree with you, I understand your point but there is nothing we are going to do about it.I will never buy a samsung product again and would never recommend it to anyone.

I did a lot of research on laser printers but obviously not enough. We have an HP designjet and the printer drivers from the Designjet and the Samsung conflict. There is a note on the Samsung website that indicates that this conflict might exist but I didn't find it during my research (and their tech support people don't know about it either). As a result we had a nightmare trying to get the printers working and on the same network. Samsung technical support was unwilling to answer any questions or offer any help because it had to do with networking and I guess they don't support that feature of their printer. HP technical support folks were much better. Eventually, though, we had to bring in outside tech support people to diagnose the problem (this was before we knew about the possible conflict and before we called HP). Samsung technicians had kept repeating the mantra that there was something wrong with our network, but after thorough testing and some additional research we discovered the real underlying problem. I had told the Samsung technicians on the phone that we were using their printer with HP printers but they apparently were unaware of the possible conflict. I don't fault them for this, but they could have made a bit more of an effort to help us think through the problem, even if they chose not to take any responsibility for it.We did experience another problem with the printer. After it prints it sends a burst of information back through the routers that lasts about 30-60 seconds during which time it monopolizes all of the traffic on the router to the point where all other computers on that router lose their connection to the Internet. We tried all sorts of remedies and the only conclusion we could reach was that the problem was coming from the Samsung. I realize that networks and printers are pretty fickle things and that there could be another source for the problem that we never found but we tried our hardest to figure it out.Now we have the Samsung disconnected and everything else is working just fine. We thought about getting a print server to regulate the Samsung but that would not have solved the driver conflict. So, it's going up on Craigslist. The company we purchased it from (not through Amazon) wouldn't take it back because by the time we had finished with all the troubleshooting, the 14 day return period had elapsed. Now we'll buy an HP Laser Printer to replace it.During the whole ordeal, we were able to print to the Samsung and I have to add that the printing was nice but not quite as good as I expected from a color laser printer.So, if this is going to be your only printer on your network or if you have other Samsung's on your network, it's not a bad price and the quality is OK. If you have a small office, or printers from other manufacturers on your network, you may want to do some more research before buying.

We use this printer in an automotive shop for wheel alignment equipment- very dusty somewhat dirty environment. it's a low cost printer that has done well for us.

We've used this for a month and are pleased with it's performance. We'd previously tried refurbished cartridges with very unreliable results. One was excellent, two were unusable. It's worth my time and money to use OEM.

I have owned this printer for about 6 months. 90 % of what I print out are blank crossword puzzles, with occasional text documents. The original cartridge ran out after printing 600 pages. It was supposed to last for about 1000 pages. One of the reasons for this is that you can only print "normal" or "best" quality. Other printers that I have owned would allow you to print using a "draft" quality. Perfect for puzzles or documents for casual personal use. The normal quality was very good, but uses too much toner. Considering the replacement cost for a toner cartridge, I would not recommend this printer. You can do better. By the way, when I did replace the toner I used a generic cartridge. It works ok, but the quality of the printing leaves a lot to be desired. So if you buy this printer, when the original toner runs out, you will probably have to spring for an expensive Samsung cartridge if your printing has to be of decent quality.

Before getting my new Samsung ML 2570 laser printer, I had used an HP Photosmart ink jet printer that used up ink like a hungry lion. I was very happy to get a printer that would give me close to 3,000 pages before I needed to replace the toner cartridge. When I researched the prices, I was shocked at how expensive they were. That is, until I looked on the Amazon.com website and found that I could get a NEW cartridge for as low as $28. I was wary about the quality, but I need not have been because the quality is as good as the original cartridge that came with the printer.

I use this printer for my on-the-side wedding video business, and I have a Xerox Phaser 8550 at my full time job (marketing manager). The Phaser was almost twice as much, and the quality is about double that of the Samsung. The upkeep/ ink/ toner costs are a little more for the Samsung based on # of pages produced before replacing ink. I like this machine because it is multi-function, it wasn't that expensive (compared to quality machines. If you're used to buying $99 machines at Costco and are expecting a top-grade piece of equipment for $500, you're going to be disappointed). It does jam more than I expected, but it's a small annoyance rather than a deal-breaker. I would recommend this printer to someone doing occasional prints who needs respectable quality. If you're looking for A+ quality, low cost per page and reliability, the Xerox Phaser series is phenomenal.

I was looking for multifunction printer to replace my HP officeJet so that I would have better quality color printing, scanning and faxing capabilities for my work. I purchased the Samsung CLX-3160FN based on brand name, color laser print quality and scanning features. For the first 2-3 weeks the product worked fine and the print quality was awesome. Then several challenges started. Scanning to e-mail was a bit difficult to configure, copying via the scanner started printing everything askew and the worst was the paper jams everytime I print, copied or faxed anything. The paper jams are unbareable! The paper jams have gotten so bad that I have to manually feed EVERY SHEET OF PAPER! I have tried differ brands and bond of paper and the same results. I will buy another multifunction in the new year but not a Samsung. I DO NOT recommend that you buy this printer!

Product did not work. Repair shop said it could have been a used one, which will not work because the sensors in the machine can detect changes in the plastic material after being filled once or twice.
