Wireless function does not work properly. Very cumbersome installation process. Once installed it works fine. Then the printer falls asleep - by design, according to tech support. Does not wake up on print job being sent to it via wi-fi, you need to actually walk up to it to wake it up by pushing power button. Even that does not work consistently, because the printer forgets its own assigned IP. I fought with it for two weeks. Gave up and returned to the store. Exchanged it for Samsung Color Multifunction Printer (CLX-3185FW) in hopes that I was unlucky and got a lemon. Exact same story with wireless setup. Spent another two weeks struggling with it. Called tech support, spent half an hour and she was not able to help me with their standard scripted troubleshooting. Escalated me. Spent another over an hour, he failed as well. Promised that escalated Product Expert would call me next day at appointed time. Never got a call back.Returned to the store and exchanged for an HP Officejet Pro 8500A Color Premium Wireless e-All-in-One. Initial installation/initiation is somewhat lengthy - about 25 minutes, but straitforward. Great prints, including from IPhone and android-based Samsung Infuse. Love it. Samsung lost credebility on printers for me. Still have great respect and use of my other Samsung products, including fridge and Infuse. The USB connection on Samsung printer worked just fine, but I needed only wireless for three laptops in the house. Overall - if you need wireless function - this printer is a piece of junk.

This printer works fine for a few days at a time... then will go offline and you cannot get it back online without doing the whole setup process all over again. I did follow someone's post here on how to use the IP address to get it to be more consistent. It worked for a week then went offline again. To make matters worse, the printer now just has a red light on. I replaced the toner with brand new Samsung toner, and it worked for one day before the red light for no toner displayed again. Will never buy another Samsung printer.

It prints well, but the setup was hard. We had to buy a new WPS compatible router to make it work. On the plus side, once set up, you can put it anywhere in the house, and it'll print wirelessly. Supposed to work automatically with Samsung products.

This is the stuff. Just discard the enclosed, make hole, instructions. Find the correct ones in other reviews/YouTube. My only additional observations were:

1. When pulling off the end cap the roller axle pulled out a little with it. Push it back in place before reinstall.
2. I always use my Panavise to hold the cartridge in place for fill. Otherwise, good luck.
3. You're gonna have to tap the cartridge while filling to fit all the toner in.
4. There is a male tab on the end cap. If this is not aligned it will bend over. When it's in correctly, the cap sits flush.
5. I only installed one retaining screw, on the end by the roller.

The green light is back and the Supplies Information Report prints out Toner Remaining 100%

There is just one problem with this printer, but unfortunately, it is a big one. The "W" in the model name denotes that it is wireless, but as a WIRELESS printer, this thing is useless. Let me clarify, this is a fabulous printer. The print quality and speed are great. I am impressed with how quickly the printer comes ready, and also how quiet it is for a laser printer. The downside is that the wireless feature is horribly flawed. By default, the printer sleeps after a minute, and when the printer sleeps, so does the wireless connection. Logically, when the wireless sleeps, the printer cannot be woken up by the wireless network. The sleep time can be turned up to two hours, but that means higher power use, and it still means that after two hours the only way to use the printer again is to manually cycle the power.I went through a few rounds with Samsung web chat support and e-mail support, and they walked me through setting a static IP (which I had already done) and told me to turn the sleep time up to two hours, which doesn't do anything to help me, it just means that if I'm that clueless, it will be a minimum of two hours until I try to contact their tech support again to complain that after two hours I can't connect to the printer.The upside, and the reason I might just end up keeping the printer, is that there is an Ethernet jack in addition to the wireless, and the wired Ethernet connection does wake the printer from sleep. I just had to figure that out on my own.The bottom line is: great printer, good network printer, awful wireless, even worse customer support

I waited until I had this printer for a while to write a review. I've had this printer for 3 years now and as an engineering student, I print A LOT. After I had this printer for about a year, my brother accidentally knocked it onto the floor from the counter. I was afraid it wouldn't work anymore, but I clipped the one plastic part that fell off back on and it's been chugging for another couple years. I have never had a printer for this long. I've printed literally over a thousand pages on it and I'm only on my second toner cartridge. I also like the way the paper loads, because it makes it easier to do double sided printing than any other laserjet I've used. You should get this printer if you want a printer that will keep going and going and going like the energizer bunny. I would recommend it for a college freshman or someone who will get years and hundreds [or thousands] of pages use out of it.

I think that for the money, this non-OEM cartridge is a good value. We have been printing with it since last May when I took a chance and bought it off Amazon.com. I mean, really, for 25 bucks I was willing to take that chance. So far it has cost us less than $2.50 per month, which is a reasonably, and now priced at 15 bucks it's a bargain.So here I am 11 months later and this one is starting to poop out - fade and streak a little. I am going to shake the old one and see how long that buys me, but will be ordering another this week. The cartridge that I bought was from the Amazon seller named Go-DPS, Inc., in case that helps anyone here...Giving it 4 stars since it we are probably nowhere near 3,000 pages printed, but still a good value for our family printing dollar.

It took two (2) years to provide drivers for their existing printers to provide drivers for Snow Leopard.They have yet to provide printer drivers for LION, 10.7 or the new Mountain Lion 10.8.Because of their despute with Apple about patient infringments on ipad et al. They are dragging theirfeet. Keep in mind it will probably take another two years.If you buy this and are a mac user...it becomes an instant door stop.

I purchased this toner cartridge because I was excited about the price. Unfortunately, after installing this "premium" cartridge the roller in my printer now makes noise and is dirty creating prints that are gray all over. This cartridge is nothing like an OEM one and I fear it has ruined my printer.

In general, this unit has served me well. There have been a couple pain points, though.1) I found the network setup to be rather tedious, though I did not try to use the supplied software. I expected--and see no reason why I shouldn't have--this to be much more plug-and-play.2) This unit is *not* a PostScript printer, so it is more difficult to install and use in some cases. I had to upgrade my OS (granted, it was Linux) and use drivers specifically for this unit to get it to work at all. Using Windows, things were easier (due to better driver support), but it was still more difficult than it would have been if this were a true PS printer.

The installation software is easy using the supplied CD disk. The printer is small enough I am able to take it with me in my RV when my family goes on trips. It has exceptional quality of print and appears to handle all fonts. Can be used wireless or with USB cable. It holds a nice supply of paper for those larger documents and it prints quickly. I can't ask for anything more in a compact laser printer.

Pros:*Cost good for a laser printer*Has wireless*Toner cartridge ridiculously easy to replaceCons:*Paper gets jammed and eaten sometimes if it is too low - no idea why this is.*I couldn't figure out how to get wireless working, but I have a Mac which might have not as much support. I gave up with it pretty quickly and just ended up plugging it into my Airport Extreme which made it wireless. Although I had to set it to ML-1860 for it to read it, but oh well.Neutral:*It's design allows it to print with the top tray down, except it just kind of spits it onto the floor instead of landing neatly on the tray. Which is okay I guess because it doesn't jam the printer or get wrecked underneath the tray.

Small and compact, but replacement cartridges for this printer are $65+ and there are no inexpensive third party alternatives. I returned this and bought a Brother 2270-DW wireless laser printer instead, cartridges are ~$16.

I read ALL the reviews on this printer before I purchased. I read about paper jams and worse, that the toner cartridge didn't last. Because of the excellent price I decided to take a gamble. I wish I had purchased 3 of them instead of only one. What a fantastic printer. From the start, it was packaged to withstand the rigors of shipping. The installation CD takes care of the entire install process in a few short minutes. I installed this on three different computers within 10 minutes. Two machines were win2000 and 1 was win7. Not a hiccup in the process. I purchased the printer for barcode labels. I've been printing sheets of 154 labels per page every day for almost six weeks and the cartridge is only down to 85 percent. Excellent quality print. Excellent competition for HP! I plan on purchasing the 5K toner cart when needed and will definitely buy more of these printers.

Purchased to use with my samsung ml-3312nd which I bought specifically because it was supposed to work with this toner. Samsung changed their compatibility specs and now the larger toner is no longer supported with the printer. I have been fighting with Samsung for 6 months, they tell me that it is compatible then not, tell me it's a defective toner but won't warranty it, tell me it's a defective printer but won't warranty it. I've wasted $159 on the printer and nearly $400 on toner that I cant use and haven't been able to print anything. Samsung would not even allow me to upgrade to the 3712nd to get the features I purchased the 3312nd as advertised to have, even when I wanted to pay them to do so. I have given up and will go back to my old printers and let $550 sit here since I don't trust that any cartridge will actually work in it, and it costs twice as much to opperate as was planned with the smaller cartridges.

Bought this printer from amazon last year, at first loved this printer best printer I had ever owned. But it all went down hill from there just recently I have been having network issues with the printer, constantly not wanting to connect, so I called samsung and they fixed it by going into my computer and changing setting on the printer. Worked fine after that but a couple months later it happened again so I fixed it myself and it worked fine for a while and got to the stage where it wouldn't work At all, even setting up the network again wouldn't work. The printer would only work by USB. I went down to compusa and bought the new Samsung 2955 DW and I love that printer so much.If u purchased this printer I would advice u to throw it out your window now! t's a big headache. I threw mine a cross my room.

This refill kit works great on my ML-1865W! NOTE: Do not make a hole on the cartridge as described on the manual page. Instead, search for "MLT-D104S ink owl" in Youtube and follow the instructions on the video. You just need to open the tank cap to refill and replace the chip. It took less than 30 minutes for me to do everything.

The product was shipped on time with refill instruction and memory chip for the cartridge. Instruction is rather long and unnecessary and the refill cap is ready exposed when the side cover is removed. A good replacement for buying a new/rebuilt toner cartridge. Will purchase again when supply finished.

I read many reviews and decided this printer was for me. I don't do much color. This ML-1865W printer works just as advertised. I like the ability to print a large number of pages quickly, almost faster than I can pull them from the bin. It works flawlessly from my laptop when sitting across the room with no wires. The black and white graphics are quite good and even photos are good. This was am impressive printer for me and very cost effective. The after market laser cartridge makes printing fun without gritting my teeth from cost. I have even found that I can print 2-side by manual duplexing.I have not found any cons at this time. I have had the printer in use now for about five weeks.Shipping was quick and fun. It was a pleasure to anticipate when the printer would arrive by following the provided links to track where it was on a daily basis.

When I purchased this Samsung SCX4623F printer, I was mostly interested in the scanner and scanner feeder. Both have worked really well for my needs. I don't do heavy printing, but I do a lot of scanning. It worked great until three days before the warranty ended (which was just about a week ago). Suddenly, it wouldn't turn on. The only complaint I have about this is that Samsung doesn't have a service place nearby. It would take me an hour with traffic to get over to the nearest place, so I opted to send it UPS to California. Samsung sent me the labels and everything. That was pretty fast. But when I talk to customer service on the phone to get instructions on what I need to do, they are not very consistent. As a result, I had a lot of delays in getting my printer sent to their service center in California. The tracking number shows that Samsung received my printer on Monday July 11. But when I call, no one can tell me the status nor can they even confirm that they have it. Finally, today I was given a number to call the service center directly. They found that it is being held in Receiving because there was no match. So now that they have found it, they will expedite it and mail it UPS either Friday or Monday. But I have had to struggle getting information through the whole process beginning last week to the present. It makes me think twice about buying another Samsung equipment next time. But the positive note is that I like the printer when it's working. I would have given it 5 stars, but because of the the service miscommunications, rated it 4 stars.

This printer was a steal when I first saw it on Amazon but when I started to use it my eyes where opened to reality. This printer (for the occasional printer user) is fast and efficient, but if you print documents and legal work on a normal basis then look elsewhere as the the toner cartridge will be replaced very quickly. This is standard paper letter 250 slot and makes it slightly awkward to add Legal paper but nothing major. From a lot of reviews online the only toner that you should get is the genuine Samsung toner as knockoffs will give you error codes and not print properly. The Genuine Samsung toner ranges from $50 to $70. Second, if you do decided to purchase this unit make sure it is a "W" version and states on the box or it will not be a wireless printer. I made the mistake and read the body description that said it was wireless but titled ML-1865 and received a plain ML-1865.

I just got this bastard and let me tell you even though its the first day it's quiet as hell, smooth fast, good print quality, simple to use and all that and a bucket of chips. Staples does not carry this toner cartridge but thats ok because I assume this will last me about 6 months possibly longer since I dont print to much and ordering new toner on amazon is fast with free delivery and will get here in a few days so I always buy one to have just in case I run out. As for the firmware update, I gotta tell ya I had a crappy epson ink jet printer which drank ink and the reason I had to buy this new one is I bought some aftermarket Cheap ink on ebay and when I installed it it killed my printer. THats why I needed to buy this great samsung printer and Im glad I did. Had that cheap ink worked I would have still owned that loud slow sloppy bad quality print epson printer so cheap no frills toner may not be all that its cracked up to be for saving about 20 bucks or whatever Id just buy the samsung brand. Excellent fast great printer here and it comes in a beautifully designed exterior and very small footprint it fits anywhere. Dell sells the same printer for about 50-100 more!!!!! Thanks Samsung!UPDATE: So I plugged it in and got it started and went to do a 2 sided print and realize it does NOT do 2 sided prints unless you manually reinsert the pages and flip them over so they print to the other side. Very dissapointed and feel like returning it but since I dont do much printing I guess I can live with it. The machine is kinda heavy so its a pain in the butt to lift it up to get the tray out otherwise the tray is kinda flush with the surface and hard to get out so you have to tilt the machine upwards a little to make it slide out easier. Oh well, great product with a major flaw.

Received this item today. Setup only took a few minutes. Had to do the setup manually though, because the WPS setup didn't seem to work the way the instructions advertised. I mainly purchased the printer so I can print from my tablet. It performs this function well.Very pleased with this purchase.

(I saw how many people had down graded this printer due to cost of toner cartridges.)Stock refills are approximately $60 to $80 depending on where you get them and which type you get. You can buy these instantly over the net through LD Products at a real savings and they often run free shipping sales too. This printer completely blows my old Epson CX4450 inkjet printer out of the water. There is literally NO comparison. Monochrome printers are awesome if you don't need color prints (I use it for postage printing) and will save you so much comparatively. It costs around $40 a month keeping an inkjet fed, now I plan to spend $40 about three times a year for toner.Not only can this printer hold almost a whole ream of paper, it's so much quieter and efficient than any inkjet I've used. Each sheet is sharp and consistent, and prints in about 10 seconds. Not bad at all. I can't recommend this model enough.

I bought this printer for $49 shipped from 'newegg' and I am one very happy camper. Easy set up, easy interface, prints quickly. Very simple.I have a netbook (no CD drive) so had to download the required driver from Samsung's website, but this took only a few minutes to download and install.I am using it with USB cable, not with wireless, and that functions just fine.You can't go wrong with this in the $50 to $70 range...

This works great in my printer, it was a perfect fit... Easy to install... I tried to just empty the old one and it not only made a big mess but caused the printer to stop functioning correctly... Save yourself the headache and just go with this one it worked great for me... I will buy this product again...
