We needed a new printer since our old all-in-one was on it's last legs. I was getting tired of the ink jet printers and the time it took to print, how much they jammed, and cost of ink based on how many pages they would print. I have Samsung printers at work, so I thought I would look at one for home use. Since I do not print pictures at home, and that I very rarely print in color, it became apparent that I could go with a b/w laser. The price on this Samsung was great, so I decided to buy.I work off Apple at home, it took me less than 5 minutes to unpack, set up, and configure everything! While PC's have there place, I just love how easy and quick set up takes. The printer fired right up and all pages that I have printed so far is fast, and crisp. I would recommend looking at this printer if you have very simple printing needs.

The procedure recommends to drill very (unnecessary) large hole into the body of the unit.

1) it is not clear where the location of the hole should be - very poor quality illustration on the procedure sheet.

2) Drilling this hole will result in plastic shavings ending indside of the tank. These shavings will be electrostatically charged and therefore hard to remove. The shavings will cause failure of the unit, most probably becasue they will damage the surface of film material.
I instead used procedure from YouTube video - removing the side panel and refilling from there. No fus, no problems, no mess. Printer works just fine.

What a huge disappointment!It started producing serious vertical streaking after the first dozen prints.I have played with all the settings, taken out the toner cartridges and shaken them.Followed all the trouble shooting advice I can find on the internet and cannot get a decent print out of it.My options now are to: 1)Purchase another full set of printer cartridges ($$$) 2)Ditch the whole thing.I was hoping the Laser printer would simplify my life, but after several hours of futzing with this thing I think I may have to buy another inkjet.It was super easy to set up and apparently works great with all the mobile hardware (tablets, smartphones)But I just wish it could produce a decent print.

Product works great. Cut the 3 plastic rivets off the end with the elec conn. removed plug empty old toner, fill with new.
Easier to cut end of nozzle to allow more flow out of the bottle. See U tube: [...]
for instructions. I just snapped the end over the old rivets, IE. did not cut them off as suggested. No screws were included.
I also put in the new chip as recommended.

The actual bottle is pico, nano, and/or micro in size and half full compared to this towering image of a lot of toner for the money. Have not used it yet and will return to this post after loading the cartridge. Overall, low dollar means little toner. The kit comes with a chip.

I've been able to print from network and Samsung app on Android through my phones and tablets. First page comes out very quick, by the time I stand up and reach for it. I use Hammermill Laser Print 24lb paper. No jams. I've used the Samsung ML-2850 and cheapie Samsung ML-2010 before and they were excellent as well. I also currently use the Samsung ML-3312ND at a different location with great results. Software driver install on Windows 7 is seamless.

As advertised, this was an original Samsung cartridge. Printer is used by a grandchild at college and this item replaced the initial "starter" cart without any problems. Not Amazon's problem, but these are not easy to refill and are a bit expensive. But still better than wallet-sucking ink jet carts. BTW, the associated Samsung ML-2165W Wireless Monochrome Printer is an excellent, small footprint, quiet, duplex unit with crisp print quality. Even better when on sale for about $50 - $55 dollars.

The purchase of this printer was well researched however when I received it there was no firewire usb cable to allow wi-fi hookup if your wireless router does not have a cps button which my apple did not. After spending an additional $35 on the cable I was able to connect however I kept getting an error that the software was out of date and to contact Samsung. I did contact Samsung and they walked me through a driver download however I got the same error message. The Samsung rep took my phone number and said he would call me back when he had resolved the problem. That was yesterday afternoon and I have not heard back. Very unsatisfied. I am sure this is a great printer but I can't get it to work.

Hey everyone. This product is great....if it wasn't for the terrible instructions I would have given it 5 stars. It's really easy to do--just make sure you don't scratch the roller like I did. But the chip and toner worked perfectly!

Easy instructions:
---Before step one, throw out the TERRIBLE instructions that came with the product. They are nonsensical.
(1) Take a razor blade and cut off the three plastic rivets on the side with the chip.
(2) Pull off the cap. If you have problems, use that razor blade to cut between the cap and the cartridge to make sure the rivets aren't holding, and pry it up.
(3) You will see a rubber cap inside covering the cylinder that holds the toner. Pop it off.
(4) Carefully pour in the toner. Use the included funnel cap, and cut it low so that it has a wide opening. As you pour it in, tap the cartridge to level out the toner.
(5) Put the cap back on. Sway the cartridge back and forth to even out the toner.
(6) The chip slides out pretty easily. You can use a small screwdriver if necessary for this part, but be careful.
(7) Slide in the new chip in the same direction. The cut out corner should be facing the inside right of the cap.
(8) Replace the cap and start printing! You don't need to put screws on or anything. If you did it correctly, the cap should stay on by itself.

I normally don't write reviews for products like this, but it did a great job!

The printer comes with a toner cartrige, about the same value as the printer! I am going to use the old lexmark for scanning,copying,but for only as a 2nd unit, not as default printer because ink is about 70 dollars.By using both I can save tons of money on the ink! Grab one on sale somewhere about 69.00 dollars.Remember this is for black & white printing only and use your old printer as secondary for only for copying ,scanning,or faxing, The ink savings will pay for your new samsung. btw set up was a dream!

I purchased the toner with the simple expectation it would work. The toner cartridge from print number one made everything look like it had zebra stripping. The toner was thick on the green roller and nothing I did could clean it. The amount of toner released into the cavity resulted in contamenating the entire printer. As a result of this toner explosion, I was forced to buy a replacement printer. My perceived cost savings was spent on a new printer. Don't buy it.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the ease of replenishing the toner in my existing cartridge. I have been using the new product for several weeks and have been quite happy with the printed pages. The replacement cartridge chip takes the worry out of "will the printer recognize this as a new cartridge." Highly recommend this product.

For a bargain basement price, this seems to be excellent toner. It was a messy, outdoor process for me, as the toner leaked out between the nozzle and the bottle. I thought perhaps I hadn't tightened it down sufficiently, but despite multiple efforts, the screw-on connection still leaked. I still had enough toner to fill the cartridge completely (and then some), despite my having completely emptied the remaining toner. My printer would not recognize either of the replacement chips (double order), but I'm continuing to use the printer with the original chip. It nags me that I'm out of toner, takes it's good time getting around to the first page, but once it goes the results are extremely good.

I came back to upgrade my review. The seller was VERY responsive to my chip issue, and sent me two newer chips to try. The printer had finally gotten tired of nagging and just stopped printing shortly after they came, so it was a great relief to pop one into the cartridge and have the printer give me the GREEN light! As I mentioned above, the toner has always worked great. Thanks!

Printer manufacturers tend to draw you in with inexpensive devices, and then make their money on astronomically expensive replacement cartridges. I've had my ML-2010 printer for several years, and have only had to replace the cartridge a couple times. I previously used OEM cartridges, but found this one and decided to give it a try. It works perfectly; I can't tell any difference between this one and an OEM cartridge.

The Galaxy advertised "Wi-Fi Direct" as being a quick way to directly print from Samsung Android phone to Samsung printer. Don't be fooled!!! To print you have to use Samsung's print app which is horrendous. You have to download images before you can print them; you can't use with your phone's regular browser; Direct Wi-Fi is a joke!!! It disconnects your internet connection to print; you have to go through this blue button printer ritual 5 or 6 times before it finally makes the connections. Worst software ever written! It's so bad I'd rather boot my computer to print instead of using this junk.

Bought this printer refurbished. It's my second ML-2525. I had some sporadic problems with it. Instead of the document it would simply print a sheet with a little error code mumble jumble on it. I thought the probem was related to being refurbished or my less than dependable computer. WRONG both times.It completely quit last night. I switched computers to no avail. Then switched in my other, working ML-2525 printer. Still no go. The last thing I switched was my USB extension cable. That was it! Works flawlessly since I've replaced the cable. I like this printer (both of them) for light duty printing!

I bought this for one of my staff members who needed a front loading printer that can accept more than 1 sheet at a time for printing (printing checks in her case). This printer has worked perfectly since we got it.The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that like most printers now a days, it's extremely picky with the toner cartridges it'll accept. We couldn't find a single non-OEM cartridge that'll work and so we're stuck paying more for Samsung cartridges.

I'm a writer, so I print a lot. I loved being able to print random crafty projects in color on my old Canon Pixma 780, but when it died, I decided to be practical and buy a monochrome laser printer - best decision ever! Before, I was always running out of ink at the worst possible time. I tried to save money by buying non OEM cartridges, but that was always a crapshoot.. and those didn't last long enough either.Finally! Now I can print as much as I want and not worry about it. Sure, color would be nice, but the truth is I just don't need it. Also, it would be nice to have a second print tray b/c I regularly print on 2 different kinds f paper, but again, I can live without it. Also, it'd be nice aesthetically if the print tray receded in to the machine with paper in it, but I'm fine with it as is. Was happy to save the $.I got this on sale for $60 bucks and it was beyond worth it! The starter cartridge didn't last that long, but the replacement I bough has lasted ages - and I bought toner to refill that myself.I did read about people having problems with wireless stuff - I can't speak to that as I just print wired from my desktop - no big deal.

When a 10 year old Samsung laser died, I started looking at the current models and found this 3312ND for $99!This thing is super fast, prints double-sided, is networked right out of the box. Setup was very easy via USB (since this printer was dedicated to our accounting workstation). No problems!The printer has been operational for several weeks now and running great.

After finally getting the device setup (use the CD Included and connect to PC First to use Wireless) I was able to print and connect to the device from everywhere in the house. Has a smaller paper tray than the printer it replaced, however it prints just as fast if not faster. Small footprint is really nice. This device could actually sit on the end/edge of the Desk with no problem and not take up much space.Does not want to play well with Google Cloud Print. But that is yet another issue. :)

I have a Samsung ML-1665 BW laser printer. It's an older model so I didn't want to invest in a new toner. Tried this product. Thanks goodness for reviews. Like all the other reviewers said, IGNORE THE DIRECTIONS !!! They say to make a big hole. Sounds like a nightmare. All I did was pop the chip-end off with a screwdriver. Pop out the plug --- it's hard to see because it's black and toner-ish like the rest of the innards -- and fill with the bottle. Note that the bottle comes with a separate spout-thing. You don't even need a funnel. I slid the chip out slid the new chip in and snapped the end back on. Very easy and not as messy as I expected. I did try it without replacing the chip and the printer didn't know it had toner in it. I think one of the reviewers got away with not replacing the chip. If the printer outlasts this batch of toner, I would buy this product again. With shipping it cost around $10 and new toner would have been at least $25 or more. If I can even find the correct toner. I printed several formal document and they all look great.

I ordered a refurbished Samsung ML-1865W because it met all the criteria I had for a laser printer. It was inexpensive, wireless, has a resolution of 1200dpi and cost about $75 to have it brought to my door. I already have a color printer and I wanted a laser printer for printing documentation and for printed circuit board fabrication. The setup was easy, despite what I have read. I did have to use the supplied USB cable to install the software on my laptop, but that is hardly surprising and from a security standpoint, perfectly acceptable.The output is crisp and sharp, and the speed and noise are also well within my expectations. The fact that it does not automatically duplex print is not really an issue, since you can easily duplex print using software, including Adobe Reader. It makes the printer less complex mechanically, in fact. The footprint is tiny, even when the input and output trays are opened. The fact that it is also wireless also allows you to put it where it will not be an issue. It is Energy Star compliant and sleeps until a print job is requested.The only issue that I have had with this printer is that it occasionally misfeeds. I blame this on the quality of the paper I am using as much as I do on the printer. The pick up mechanism is fairly standard, in fact. The paper I am using is the very cheapest paper that Wal-Mart sells, too. I have had perhaps half a dozen misfeeds in literally thousands of pages and I am still using the same toner cartridge it came with.This printer is great for printing out text for classes at online schools, for instance. It costs roughly the same as the PDFs that are provided for a semester at UoP. ;-)

I set up computers and network printers for a living. I purchased this Samsung to install over LAN for a group of computers to use. The problem is that I have not been able to set this printer up and print to it. Samsung support tells me there is no factory reset. They tell me there is no way to test printer functionality. They also require the installation of their proprietary software in order to configure the device - unlike "other" manufacturers who make setup easy in 5 minutes - done on the printer itself. I was then told I needed to install their Set IP software in order to configure the printer. It doesn't launch on my Mac. This has been a huge waste of time with no solution. Fresh out of the box. Unable to print via ethernet.

Great, cheap alternative to buying a full-on replacement cartridge. Follow the directions posted by other viewers and you can't go wrong. Do wear the gloves and either do it outside or under newspaper on your counter as it will get a little messy. The 15 minutes you will spend and the little bit of mess is well worth the money you will save! I ordered another one just to have it on hand for next time.

Received item ten days after ordering. Received toner the day I emailed seller regarding its wear abouts. Cartridge is an original cartridge. I've refilled it once before and it worked awesome. I refilled it for the second time, the print works okay for the first page, but then the toner fades, gets spotty, all over. Very disappointed. Wouldn't buy again.

I ordered this original Samsung tuner after first buying a generic that did not work in the printer.This is the same as the one I bought at H&H Gregg but I saved over $20 +$5 tax and no shipping.Be careful if you order an generic toner cartridge as in my case the printer would not recognize it and it was worthless.

This is official Samsung stuff. It was easy install, and has worked from the get-go. I'm now a third of the way through it and it's doing better than the original cartridge did -- the one that actually came with the printer. No additional lines or smudges.It appears to me that this is an all in one cartridge. That is, it's the full drum and toner. This probably explains why the change of cartridge made for the change in quality. Something was probably messed up on the original drum.One other nice feature: Samsung makes it absurdly simple to recycle the old cart. At no cost. Sweet.

I have used this printer for more than a year. It is a dependable work horse. I have had only 2 paper jams since I have been using the printer since September 9, 2011. The after market toner cartridges cost less than $25 each. I found one on Ebay For $15.88. This printer has a small footprint and does all it says it will do. I enjoyed this printer so much that I purchased one for my cousin. She has given it rave reviews. Additionally, I found one for a very, very good price at a local computer store and bought it for a backup. But so far it has been very good and I would recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a printer for the home or for the business.

I own the color network laser printer from Samsung CLP-315 (which rock I might add)!Having tried a knock off toner product once on my other brother laser only to have to replace the printer and dont get me started on refurbished laser toner (garbage)....The Samsung toner is priced right for me through Amazon as the product itself is very easy to install, no mess at all and with the old used ones I either take them to the local recycle bin or have used the Samsung return option.I am a believer that when you buy a printer, fill it with high quality toner and the printer will return awesome output and not a trip to buy a new one....

I like this printer, but I give it only 3 stars. I bought this printer because I wanted an inexpensive good quality wireless b/w laser printer. This printer is that. But the instructions that come with it to enable the wireless connection are so far below standard as to strip the product of two stars in my evaluation. For somebody like myself, who specifically bought the printer for its wireless capability, this is no trivial matter.Thankfully, other reviewers have commented on this and I followed their instructions and successfully enabled the wireless connection. It took me the better part of two nights. Since my home set up is probably typical I will briefly describe how I did this.I have a PC sitting on my desk with a standard Verizon router sitting on the desk as well. The PC is wired into the router and does not have a wireless card. This is probably pretty standard. Here's the crazy part. I disconnected the PC from the router and plugged the UBS cable into a laptop that I brought home from work and the printer, inserted the CD into the laptop's drive and followed the instructions from the installation software. It was a piece of cake.After I had verified that I could print from the laptop wirelessly, I reconnected the PC to the router, installed the CD into its drive, ran the installation software again, this time NOT setting up the wireless connection, and lo and behold, the printer showed up and I printed a test page wirelessly.Why the manufacturer could not describe this in these simple terms is beyond me. The instructions referring to WPS -- ignore!!! Google and you'll find out. Or call Verizon...better yet don't call Verizon you'll be on hold forever.

I love this printer. If you're looking for a no-nonsense, small, easy to use wireless laser printer, this is a very good option. The print quality is very good - no smudges, no lines, no defects in the text.The printer is a little slower than I expected, but tolerable. I printed 20 pages in a few minutes, which wasn't bad.Setting up the wireless was pretty straightforward. I'm using Windows 7 and plugged it directly into my computer. I installed the drivers, and it took me through the setup. It connected to my wireless network and voila - instant printing from all computers in the house. I've heard some people having issues using older versions of Windows, but I have no experience with that.My main complaint is the cost of the toner refills. As with all printers these days, they're priced dirt cheap so you can buy expensive ink/toner refills. Sadly, this printer is no exception. The printer costs $60, and the toner refills also cost $60. This is SO annoying, and would definitely make me think twice about buying this printer. The cartridge is labeled to print 1500 pages, so I guess it all depends on how often you print.Overall, great, no-nonsense printer with unreasonably expensive toner refills.

I bought this product with hesitation, but thought I would give it a try. It was FAR easier to reload and re-chip my old toner cartridge than I could have imagined. I think most anyone could do it themselves, following the simple instructions. It took me maybe 5 minutes of time to refill and re-chip my old cartridge. My refilled cartridge works perfectly, and is loaded with a "full" charge now. I bet I could now do the next refill in about a minute, having done it once already.

I have used this printer for one year with mixed thoughts. It has easy to set up wireless configuration.Print quality is very good. The down sides to the product include a far too often nasty habit of periodically dropping the wireless connection and can only be solved by doing a complete re-install (Samsung customer supportwas contacted but had no solution other than re-install). Using the printer in a wired installation wouldprovide much fewer headaches.Samsung toner is EXPENSIVE but it is easy to refill toner yourself at much lower cost. Toner cartridge also has a 'chip' to replace when adding toner -total combined cost typically in the range of $12-15.

Okay, so we all bought/ are going to buy this printer for the aspects I listed in the title.Only snag for me when I bought it was the wireless. Some people got it to work, some didn't. I was one of those who failed. Every time I wanted to print I had to plug the USB in, not too bad, but still I wanted more.I tried, tried, tried and gave up on getting the wireless to work. The amount of stress trying to get it to work vs. the problem of having to plug in the USB cable just wasn't worth it. Until today...I had all the drivers and software installed, but I figured there might be an updated driver/software. There is.I'm pretty sure linking to the driver or any website is prohibited on amazon reviews, so you'll just have to find it yourself. Here are the steps:1. Google 'ML-1865W PrintD.exe'2. Click 'See All Downloads' under the 'Downloads' area.3. Click the 'Driver' tab.4. Download 'Print Driver (Driver) (ver.3.11.34.00:10)' [I am using windows 7 64-bit, this should work for any version of windows you're running]5. Run the software, Make sure your printer is ON. Not plugged in your USB.6. It should find your printer, click install the drivers, not the wireless option.7. Everything should go smooth, and wireless comes after driver install. [I had previous drivers installed, I did not uninstall anything, this worked fine.]8. Click 'Print test page'9. Jump for joy when your printer prints its test page and it's not physically connected to your computer!Any questions feel free to post here and I'll help as much as I can, because I am quiet happy this works like this now.

Плохо

I have used refill ink before and had much better results than with this ink. Ink did not last more than a month and was not of a good quality.

Ужасно

This does not fit Samsung ML-1665 printer. They should not say it does. Try another brand. Why does toner cost almost as much as a printer with toner?

This product is horrible. It worked for the first day and then just stopped! I'm reading other reviews and the same problem is occurring for them too. Talked to two different phone reps from Samsung and we tried everything to solve this problem. Both couldn't figure out how to get the wireless to work on it. Unbelievable.Hey Samsung engineers! Stop twiddling your thumbs and fix this issue. Obviously a ton of people are going through this same problem. Someone should fix this.

Великолепно

This is a fast, quiet little printer which, if you have a Mac at least, takes about 2 minutes to set up and run. It takes longer if you have a windows machine, but then again most things do. This printer is not much bigger than a shoebox, and looks nice. I'm just unhappy that it doesn't have a copy function, but that might have been my fault for not paying attention when ordering.

I purchased this to be used by one of my coworkers when she is in town. When the Amazon box came, I literally said out loud. I wonder what this is...and to the gentleman who handed it to me, "Did another box come, I'm expecting a printer". Imagine my surprise when it WAS the printer. It prints fine and does everything otherwise but boy is this thing small.
