Ужасно

says in the title SCX-3405FW but it does NOT work with that printer. Now I've lost $61 & have a printer that doesn't have ink. update...Amazon was great on a refund, & I think it was a lemon toner, not actually the wrong one. we've since bought another w/ the same numbers & it works fine.

Of the two toner cartridges received only one works well and the other does not function properly. Printed copies have carbon / toner streaks on both sides of the paper copies. I can not adjust the printer to correct the toner cartridge's mal function. Hence, each page is too messy to use.

The problem people are having with paper jamming is the fact that there is zero tolerance for paper that is the slightest bit wider than 8.5 inches. If your paper is exactly 8.5 inches wide (or slightly less), the printer will work properly.Most economy copy and laser print paper is not exactly 8.5 inches wide. Such paper is about 8.53125 to 8.5625 inches wide. This will cause a jam in the ML-2510 every time.It is a design flaw. The mechanism for setting paper width is unable to move beyond exactly 8.5 inches.So unless you have paper that is exactly 8.5 inches wide (high quality papers usually are because there's more care involved in the processing), avoid this printer.If you own this printer and experience paper jams, you can easily remove the blue paper size adjustable cassette sides. Just turn the print on it's back, remove the screw holding the white gear wheel. Then remove the adjustable cassette sides. Put the paper in and it should print without issue. Note you'll only be able to print one envelope (or smaller sized paper) at a time through the bypass tray because you're removed the adjustable cassette sides in the paper tray. However, the width issue is resolved by removing the adjustable cassette sides.

Very happy with this printer. But there were a few things I did that might confuse or be too much for the reader. (I set mine up via network connection.)On the local Windows XP computer I installed the driver. Initially the user had VPN up, so that was problematic, then the Firewall (Comodo) was acting freaky so I just removed the printer from the list.I then reinstalled it manually like I would any other network printer I have drivers for: Add New Printer, Local, Port (IP), Enter IP address (Easiest way you can find this by the control panel on the printer and/or printing the config page.), tell firewall to let it through. Working!On the Ubuntu 10.04 Linux beast, I got the drivers online and removed the previous Unified drivers and installed these new ones. Entered the IP, and works! Also the new drivers worked with my local Samsung printer without issue as hoped for. Sweet!One thing Linux does is tell me there's a jam before correcting itself and printing. I could honestly care less at this point as I'm 30mins into using the printer, and even if I'm stuck with that message, the printer works great.As an aside, both computers printed short (flip) & long duplex perfectly. But I can't comment on direct wireless printing since I rout it all through the router. (Mine's a D-Link DGL-4300.)I'll add the Win7x64 & Snow Leopard Mac later and add my findings at that point.

We've had this printer in service for about seven months. Noticing the frequency of $110 cartridge purchases, we started tracking the number of pages per cartridge and found one cartridge produces only 1,000 pages. That's the same production as HP printers in the office using a cartridge costing half as much. So long Samsung.

used the samsung unified driver for linux - which works for several samsung models, just like "unified" implies. painless setup, good duplex, good print. printer is set up for both wired and wireless - and handles both simultaneously.my second samsung - the old 1710 died after 5 years of yeoman duty - so i think now i'll stick to samsung for the cost/benefit ratio.

I had never refilled a cartridge before, but the reviews were encouraging(with the exception of the instructions) so I purchased it. First of all, it turns out that this product is easier to use if you are filling a re-manufactured cartridge. The end cap is already secured with screws which come out easily and the hole to fill it with has already been drilled and a removable cap covers it. Once this is removed it is easy to fill the cartridge, replace the chip and secure the end cap. It has worked well for a day. Fingers crossed.

I use several of these at work and they perform well, only downside is toner cost. Also the fact that the newer models of this printer have a firmware that makes it nearly impossible to use after market toners. Thanks alot Samsung!

I have owned this printer for almost a year now. It was easy to setup for wireless use. The only issue I had with it in the year of ownership was that it reset its IP address once. This was a pretty easy fix.The print quality is good.I use this printer mostly to print travel information (rental car, hotel reservations, etc) for the various vacations we do. I do not use it heavily. As such, I have not had to replace the toner yet and doubt I will until next year.My wireless router is in my son's room (adjacent to my room). If you are looking for a basic printer with wireless functionality, this could be the one for you.It is fairly small in size and sits nicely on a file cabinet right by my desk.

This printer is superb. It does everything I need it to do and more. The only problem is that the printer only works with a USB cable.The Samsung ML-2165 would have received a higher rating, but the wireless conectivity did not work for me.Otherwise, I would recommend this printer to anyone who has minimal needs and wants a speedy and breadbox size unit.

I've had this printer for about a year and a half and over this time have used it (or tried to use it) with multiple operating systems, routers, and internet service providers. No matter my set up, it has always suffered numerous problems. It regularly goes offline for no reason and stays that way even when powered off and on. Connected directly to a computer via ethernet cable and USB, it barely works at all, printing the first page of each job and then spitting out endless blank pages.But the worst of its problems, however, is the setup--which I have had to do once when I first got the printer, once when I changed networks, and once when I deleted the original driver in an attempt to troubleshoot. Simply put, setup is illogical (the instructions for setup do not work) and internally broken (you will regularly be told that the driver does not exist even after having downloaded and installed it). The first time around, I managed to get it onto my network (after approximately four hours) through what I can only call pure luck (what I did certainly made no sense). The second time, I simply failed to get it set up and to this date I have a Mac running Lion that simply can't print to the computer. And the third time worked only after endless fiddling and browsing of internet support pages--none of them, by the way, run by Samsung.Avoid this printer at all costs. Wireless connectivity is not worth this kind of frustration.****Update 4/23/2012: As of today, this printer will not even turn on. Pure junk. Never buying a Samsung printer again.

The first one I received did not work. Seller sent second one and when I opened box there was black toner all over inside of box. What a mess. Put cartridge in printer would not work. After three trys it finally started working. Lets see how long it lasts. Pretty bad product.

Simply follow the instructions provided online by the seller. No need to use any screws to hold the cartridge end cap on. The cartridge end cap snaps securely back into place. Entire process takes 5-10 minutes. Serious savings here.

Did not work with the starter cartridge. had to order a full replacement cartridge. Hopefully the refill kit will work with the full-yield replacement toner cartridge. Instructions are too cryptic to be much use.

Follow up: will work with replacement cartridges - they have removable screws.

I purchased this printer for home use. After printing about 500-600 pages, the toner wears out. Definitely less than 1500 pages as stated on the website.Wireless model is frustrated to set up, but works fine with Mac once you go it. A software called Wireless Setting is very helpful for this process. You can find it on Samsung's website.

This laser is not particularly easy to set up, but once you get over that hurdle, it goes about its job quickly, quietly, and wirelessly. It's also pretty darn cute, occupying the same amount of space on my printer shelf as my ink (and dollar) thirsty Canon inkjet. I haven't used it much yet, so I'll update my review if my opinion changes, but so far, so good.

Had problems withit wirerless called tech support and spent one hour twenty minutes trying to repair. At that point tech gave me a number to send it for repair. Rockford IT had it a week did not call me so I called them. He could not repeat the problem so he did nothing. Called Samsung they reviewed the notes of what it was on the phone with me and what Rockford IT could not repeat. They told IT to give me back the printer there is nothing wrong with it. With the printer only being three weeks old I feel it should of just been replaced and the issue would be complete. From this point forward I will never buy electronics over the internet. If I would of bought it from a store the store would have given me a new unit and I would be on my way.

I am very disappointed with this product.I have successfully installed the drivers and with the model identified with a green passed indication. When I started to print a message pop out to say "toner cartridge not compatible"What DO I do now?I have rebooted my comp, recycled the on/off switch, Off the main power source for my Samsung ML2165W printer, re- connect the USB port and Printer will not print with the same message that the "toner is not compatible"Please advice!

I order this Refill Toner for my Samsung laser printer on Oct.31,2012 and receive it right away on Nov.2 Friday. Everything was fine but the chip that goes with it does not work. The printer was looking for my cartridge, the first time then it says not compatible. I called Freshinkjets, the place where it came from but recording answered. Leave my number several times but no one return my call. Seems one person owns the place. Luckily when I put the old chip it worked but I don't know for how long. If you have to buy this toner be sure your old chip will work.

Too bad. I discovered at my expense this product was made for 2 different markets under one name. When you buy in US you cannot use it in Europe. Your money goes in the drain because you already have open the box (no refund) and when you come back it is too late for a refund. Samsung should put in big letters "For US ONLY" and "For Europe ONLY". And why 2 different toners for the same printer?

I got this last year at the same time of the year. During the hot days in may it started jamming and tearing paper. I had to print everything double. This semester after four months without using it I decided to give it another try. Same problem, destroys paper, so I just bought a new toner cartridge for nothing. I ended up slamming it on the floor.Also, sometimes the wireless goes out for no reason and you have to wait for it to come back. If you try usb it sometimes won't recognize it.On the positive side it's very compact. It's cheap, the printing quality is cheap but works.Finally, if you buy it, don't bother changing the toner when it runs out, just change the whole printer.

I have a Mac running on a home network. The CD, the website, and the software were all nearly impossible to decipher. I have 20+ years with computers and am the go to guy at work. It took me over an hour to get the wireless up and running.I could not get the push button configuration to work at all.The CD didn't come with the Wireless Settings configuration software for Mac. I had to go to the Samsung site to download it.The instructions for the Wireless Settings utility don't cleary explain all the steps.This is a frustrating printer to set up. I also bought one for my daughter and it may be a challenge to set up over the phone for her but I'm going to remote it and use my bad experience to her benefit.Otherwise, it is a small footprint printer. Samsung works and prints fine, but the wireless does not work easily.

I wanted a wireless laser printer so I could 1) print while seated downstairs on the couch with my laptop to the2) printer by the desk in a different room from the router 3) without having it connected to a computer. All 3 items checked off the list.It's been abotu 2 years and it makes a sqeaking noise when printing--wheels may need lubricant? It's not that bad--helps me know when I am downstairs that whatever I wanted to print is being printed.

This laser is so affordable and compact that it is ideal for just about everyone. The print looks great to me, the wireless setup was easy and reliable and it prints fast clean pages. It is pretty quiet and although I have yet to use all the toner provided, it appears replacement toner will be reasonable if page estimates provided are reasonably accurate. All in all a reasonably good laser printer for the price in a well made and functional and small package. The apps in the Google and Apple markets for printing from respective mobile markets are a really nice plus.

The installation of the printer was easy and completely trouble free. Printing was good at a decent speed and quality was very acceptable. Certainly very well suited for a small home office or as a personal printer at work. It would be overwhelmed as a shared printer for an office of more than 5. A big plus was the USB cable was supplied unlike another major brand as part of the product. The free "Samsung Mobile Print" App downloadable from Apple took quite a bit of figuring out to get working.I have to point out that when the printer starts to print, the lights in my office flicker a bit. I'm not sure if that is due to EM interference or if there is a big current draw. It certainly has never occurred with my other older HP laser printers.all in all, a good alternative to the lower cost Brothers and HPs.**1 month update***Love the printer! Use it in my office everyday and it works very well. Prints quickly with no problems.
