This is the first wireless printer I've owned; I got it because now that I've made the move to laptop for most of my computing needs, using a normal printer's a bit of a bother. Plus, the older printer was an inkjet, and frankly it was a pain to use because it was slow, the ink ran out quickly, and if I didn't use the printer for a while the ink would dry up.When it comes to setting up computer stuff, I'm dumb as a post. Yet I was able to set up this Samsung with minimal whining; within half an hour of hauling it out of the box I was printing an article off of JSTOR. Since 90% of my printing needs will be creating hard copies of academic papers (and the other 10% is printing postage via USPS) the printer works very well for me.It is a little annoying that the paper tray sticks out. I thought that the Samsung would basically be a perfect box shape, but instead there is a piece of plastic jutting out 2" or so, ruining the simplicity of the zen-like cube. Oh well. It's a minor complaint.The other thing that worries me is the cost of ink toner. The printer claims that it'll make 1500 black and white pages; I've probably printed about 450-500 pages' worth of articles and the toner is out. Granted, I've heard that the starter toner isn't as full as the cartridges you buy at the store, but it still makes me nervous because replacements are at least $50 - and that's for each color.But hey, I needed a basic printer and this one suits me quite nicely. I can print from my laptop, my iPhone, and my husband's tablet and desktop. The pages look great with nice, vibrant colors. I am satisfied.

I received my order within a week. The replacement chip was a seamless transition - no issues. If you have ever replaced toner then that makes your second time very simple. If you've never handled toner, it can be messy. You should use the plastic glove provided and do your operation over some papers. It's easy to spill.. If you do spill, don't worry as it vacuums up if not ground in by stepping on it. It seems to wash out of clothes or just brush off. My 1865W cartridge has a removable plug where you can add toner, You get enough toner to use up the amount allowed by the chip. I was able to pop off the chip cover to replace the chip by scraping over the plastic rivets with a knife - then working the cover off by gently prying at the attachment points. The chip can be easily replaced now. The plug is right there also for refilling the toner. Carefully pry it off with a small flat-headed screwdriver then fill and replace the plug. Snap the cover back on - it will stay. Wipe of the cartridge as needed and put back in the printer and you are good for another long while.

My cartridge was leaving stripes and the ink was almost finished so I tried this refill. It is easy to do but even after filling it the stripes remain. It isnt the inks fault, I just think you need to make sure that the cartridge is still in good enough shape to refill. It prints dark again but after a while it may lighten up. I pull the cartridge out and shake it a little and this usually fixes it. I guess the ink settles inside...

My situation: I just started college and right off the bat, there were situations when I needed to print. I simply needed to print text documents and essays every once in a while. Even though I don't print a lot, buying an inkjet printer just seemed a bit impractical for me. Having owned a couple of them in the past, I know how tedious and annoying it was to keep having to buy refill ink cartridges. I wanted to put all of that in the past and turn over a new printing leaf.Although I was willing to invest the extra cash into a laserjet, the prices for most of them still seemed impractical. It seemed the best of the best were at least $200+, which was well over my budget. Finally I come across this item, as well as the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w. Both printers seem to compete extremely well and the features that they boast, such as wireless printing, were very appealing. After reading different reviews, I was starting to move more in favor of the P1102w. Having worked in electronics retail for over three years, I understood the popularity of HP printers and felt a slight bit of comfort around them compared to Samsung printers. Samsung is the only company I go to for monitors and TV screens, but I was still unsure of the quality of their printers due to the fact that I had no personal experience with them and a very small amount of them are actually sold retail. A lot of customers reviews have complained that the setup for this printers was horrible, which made me worry. But after using this printer, I have to testify that they either know nothing about how computers work, or they're just plain stupid.Amazon loves to display the featured sellers first and keep the underdog sellers with the best prices under wraps. I was almost fooled into paying more from a featured seller, but I continued to search for another 20 minutes and found a seller that offered the product brand new with $20 shipping, and the total was still well under $100. Knowing how very little I paid for this product, I was willing to go through any annoyances this product had to offer. Customers have also complained that the cost of printing was too high and that the starter toner has next to nothing in it. I figured I could use the money I saved and put it towards a new toner in the future.I ordered the product and received it in half of the time that I expected it to come in. Just goes to show you that featured sellers aren't always the best sellers. The setup for the product was stupid simple. I took the printer out of the box, removed all of the tape, and inserted the toner. I popped in the installation CD and did everything that it told me to. It prompted me to plug in the printer to the computer to set it up wirelessly. The printer could not detect my encrypted network right off the bat, so I typed it in manually and it connected to it with no issues. A minute or two later, it was done. Like literally, THAT WAS IT. I'm not understanding how difficult the setup was. There's pictures and diagrams all over the product and installation program, a child could do it, SERIOUSLY!I've had the product for three months now and I have to say that this is one of the best online purchases I have ever made in my entire life. I haven't had a single issue with this printer, not ONE. The semester is coming to a close and I have only used 97% of the starter toner! Page count on the printer is only 47 pages. (I'm taking full advantage of the 300 pages that the university offers a semester.) If I do the math correctly, this toner will last me well through 1500+ pages! I can see this printer and it's starter toner lasting me throughout the rest of my college career.PRO TIP: If you want to save on toner, go to the printing preferences, turn on the 'toner saver' option, and uncheck the 'darken text' box. Your prints will still come out very dark and pristine as if it came out of a industrial-grade Xerox machine. (Unless you like to over analyze things.)

This printer was easy to setup, and works great. I bought this because I got tired of cheap inkjets drying up if used infrequently. I don't use a printer often, but when I do I want it to work. That was the motivation to go laser. Of course I want my printer to do everything, so need the multifunction. Wireless is a greatconvenience. And the enclosed paper tray is a feature one might overlook, but dusty paper can lead to paper jams, so it is nice to have.Note: The only "problem" with this printer is that the driver doesn't automatically update the IP addess of the printer if it changes. Let me explain this in case people have trouble with it. I imagine most people these days use wireless routers connected to some broadband provider. By default, these routers will dynamically give out addresses to devices trying to connect to the network (DHCP). So, if your printer connects, then you turn it off for days, then you turn it on and it connects again, it may have been give another address by your router. Unfortunately, your PC doesn't know that, so it just says it cannot find the printer. You can either change where your PC thinks the printer is to the correct address (Printer properties->Ports->Configure Port->Port Name) or, you can set the printer to use a static, or fixed, address. Look in the manual or search for it to see how to do that.

It does not scan, do you need a scanner? It doesn't fax either, do you need to fax docs too? Think about these things b4 you decide which machine is right for you. I need only a b&w printer. I don't want it to be always on, like my old HP, bcuz I don't print that much....maybe 2x a week. So, I want the machine to only turn on when I press the button to turn it on, and then I want it to warm up quickly, and print sharp copy. Samsung does this perfectly. When you set it up, be sure to gently remove the red plastic printer cartridge retainer thingy. Then slide the cartridge back in. Plug in the power cord, plug the connector wire from the printer into the back of your pc. Then go into Devices and Printers (might be in your Control Panel) section of your Windows system, and look around to select the Samsung as your new printer. It is pretty easy. Sure, it is a bit noisy when you use it, and it curls the paper a tad more than you would wish, but hey, it is a nice SMALL box....and if you are only using it for occasional home print jobs, it is a great choice.

As I have found out with experience. Printer companies program the printers to stop working once the level of the ink falls below a certain point.You might think that this is beneficial since they are telling you that you are out of ink, but I have found out that it is just another way to pad their sales and make you purchase their expensive ink.I suspected my old cartridge had some ink since I did not see any of my printouts fading or looking too light. So I decided to put in the new cartridge to fool the software into believing the toner was replaced and then I put back my old cartridge. Guess what? I have now been using it for the last month and it is still printing.So my advice will be, unless you see your printouts fading away, keep using your old cartridge until it really runs out! Have a new one and place it in when your printer stops printing and starts jamming on command by the software. Then put the old one back just to verify if it's really gone.Otherwise this is a very good product. I just detest when someone else fools me into spending more money than I really need to.

The Samsung ML-2955DW is a wireless black and white printer, with a duplex option.The print quality is crisp and good.I had problems duplex printing a thick paper, even when I had the printer set to thick paper. It had no problem when I used a standard thickness paper. I found it difficult to simply choose duplex from the print options. I had to set up Eco mode to do this which isn't intuitive, and required extra clicks to choose one option.Setup was easy for me. I am not a network expert, but I have good familiarity with a home network. All I had to do though was plug printer into outlet, plug a USB cord from the printer to my computer, and run the install CD that included network setup. As long as you know the wireless access password, you should have no problems. There is an option to use for other computers to just install drivers once the printer is set up.It also supports Wireless Protected Setup(WPS) but as this standard is implemented insecurely, I have it disabled on my router. I did not test it.The printer has quick acting sleep mode. This will save you energy. It is adjustable.At one point I clicked the User Guide button in the included software, and nothing happened. The button appears not to function at all.There is an app I got from the Google Play store (also available on iTunes) that I should have been able to print from. It was actually easier to choose options than from my computer, but I wasn't able to get it to print.In all, the printer prints great B/W prints, network setup was simple, but a few things in the UI aren't as good as they could be, and some of the features such as the app were disappointing. If they are improved over time, it will increase the quality of experience you will have with the printer. If the price is right, it is a good buy so long as the mentioned issues aren't show stoppers for you.

This Samsung ML-2165W is my first wireless printer. The current print king of my household is an old workhorse - the HP 2200 Laserjet with a NIC which is hard connected into the local home network.Off the bat, the Samsung has a much smaller physical footprint, which is much appreciated when trying to save some desktop space. Our household is a Windows/Android home, so everything we threw at the printer worked and connected flawlessly. No Apple products, so I can't really comment there. The setup and configuration of the printer literally took less than twenty minutes.We don't really use the printer a ton here, probably only a few hundred pages a year. The toner cartridge included with the Samsung is rated up to 1500 pages of text, so that will probably last this home several years. While the replacement carts are currently running over half the price of this actual printer, unlike inkjets, the toner cart will never dry out and become useless on you.When compared side-by-side, the Samsung also has a much faster start up time and prints multiple pages about twice as fast as my HP. The only thing the HP has going for it is the fact that the thing is about ten years old and is still chugging along. If this Samsung has the same lifespan, it'll be a great addition. So far, so good.

Great printer once I fixed the wireless problems:I have owned the Samsung ML-2525W for 30 months and it has been trouble free except for the wireless. When I first set it up,it worked fine but over time it quit working. A little troubleshooting let me know that there was something up with the IP address. So I went to Samsung's support website and downloaded the newest firmware update and installed it on the ML-2525W viaa USB cable. When I checked the wireless IP address for the device, it was listed as 169.254.25.66, the default Samsung address. Well, since my router is setup for a gateway at 192.168.1.1 which is the default of many routers, I then downloadeda program called SET IP from the Samsung support website for the ML-2525W. Using this utility program, I entered a new staticaddress of 192.168.1.125 in place of Samsung's default address along with the gateway address of 192.168.1.1 and saved thisresult. Rebooted everything then ran the Samsung install disk for this printer to setup my wireless network SSID name andpassword info.....saved the result and printed out a test page and I was off and running. I needed to repeat the Samsunginstall disk on each Windows7 Home box and everything now works great. Hope that this helps someone else who has experiencedSamsung wireless problems for their ML-2525W!

It does a good job scanning, network faxing quality is okay, good print quality,fast; 5 stars when it works. Worked well enough for less than 6 months before I started noticing I had to mess with it anytime I needed to print again.If you intend to use it wirelessly, know that it frequently disconnects from your network and/or refuses to communicate. I'm a professional network engineer and this would be impossible for novices to deal with. Sometimes you can kick it back to its senses and make it communicate again by plugging it into the network, sometimes not. In the past, I have had to reset the unit's network configuration and reconfigure it with our wireless settings again to make it connect to the network again. I have a screenshot of the SyncThru configuration menus and the wireless configuration menu was simply not there for me to "double check my settings". It came back after resetting the unit to default configuration. I then reconnected it via the WPS button on the printer and on our router; which was pretty painless but should NOT need to be done.There have been no firmware updates released by samsung for this unit so I just have to assume that these issues will never be fixed and I must caution anybody who would consider purchasing it.I like it when it works; maybe it would be best used plugged in via cat5 or USB, but that's not why we bought it.

I have a Mac running OS 10.6.8 and my attempt to connect this printer has been wirelessly has been a sad one. I'm now out of patience and am returning it. I've spent 4 phone calls (1 hour+ each) with Samsung technical support 1-800-726-7864 and after uninstalling, re-installing, downloading updated printer drivers, restarting my router, restarting the printer, restarting my computer, somehow the printer STILL doesn't connect consistently. It's been unbelievably frustrating and taxed my patience. I spent around $70 for this printer and the humor in this is that Samsung has probably spent more in that on me and it would be cheaper if they just sent me a different model or paid me $100 to never call them again. I give this product 1 star because the silver lining of this story is that the technical support people were professional, friendly and patient. But, I must admit I could hear that even they were flabbergasted as we approached the 1 hour mark on each call and had yet to find a resolution. It's a 24/7 call center with a 9am-9pm EST Level 2 support team. I'm sure the hardware is fine, but Samsung please hire some software engineers who test their product thoroughly before placing your brand on it. I will likely never buy a Samsung printer again. Buyer beware.

I wish my experience with this printer were as positive as some reviewers'.On initial installation, my impression was of a solidly built machine with good, but not exceptional print quality. The test page displayed clean text and photo reproduction which was, if (not at all unexpectedly) not as good as a photo inkjet, certainly of high quality.Where the problems arose was in the wireless installation. Initially, during the direct connection phase, local wireless networks were correctly identified and accessed. It was when the cable was disconnected and the machine operating in full wireless mode that it became evident there was a hardware failure.On all subsequent reinstallation attempts, including two lengthy sessions with the polite and patient technical support reps, the printer failed not only to locate the designated wireless network but any of several other networks in the vicinity which had been previously identified. I was finally told to take this brand new unit to an authorized service facility.Currently, I have this machine operating as a network printer, directly connected via USB cable to my wireless router. This is a functional but not especially convenient workaround.Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this printer to users looking for the convenience of a wireless color inkjet.

This review has taken much longer than usual but I put this unit to a rather unusual test, at least for me. I loaned it to a third party for use and evaluation.First, I used the unit in our volunteer animal rescue administrative work that requires a large volume of copies. It has never failed to perform as claimed and is extremely easy to use. That is important to someone like me that is technologically challenged once you get past the plug in part. We have found the copies to be crisp, clean and it does present copies quickly and within the number (21 per minute) claimed by the manufacturer. The set up was painless and directions were east to read and understand.Second, I loaned the unit to my granddaughter that is in the advanced placement program in her school and has an inordinate amount of home work. She does a good deal of home work on her computer and generates a lot of copies. She reports no problems with the unit and was able to install it herself after reading the instructions. She says the unit is virtually jam free and she especially likes the speed in which it makes copies. I suspect I will not get the unit back but that is a work in progress.To be sure the unit does not have color capability or a scanner but we knew that from the outset and the price is fair given the quality of this product.From someone that has put this unit to the test please know we highly recommend it. It is not a commercial type unit but for many users it should work very well.

This is the first time I purchased a compatible toner cartridge rather then OEM cartridge. I received a replacement compatible toner cartridge for my Samsung ML in different box than the stock photo shows. It was extremely well packaged in good bubble wrap. It was packaged more securely than the OEM replacement toner cartridges that I have purchased in the past. See please see attached collage of photos under "Customer images", photo labeled #1.The cartridge was clean with no toner residue in the bag. It looked very similar to the original OEM cartridge just did not have the Samsung logo on the cartridge itself. See photo labeled #2, the original cartridge is on the left, this compatible cartridge is on the right.The installation instruction were a little confusing. The image in photo labeled #3 shows the confusing step. The instruction calls to remove the seal from the cartridge and the image shows like you have to remove some small part on the right hand side of the toner. In fact what they mean is to slide out a large piece of paper laying in a crease of the toner.The cartridge easily inserted into the printer, and printed flawlessly. The ink was dark and even. There were no streaks on the front or the back of the paper. I rubbed my finger over it and it did not smudge. So far so good.I had my Samsung ML2010 for a number of years, I have purchased two OEM laser cartridges during its life time in addition to the starter cartridge that came with the printer. I keep track of my laser cartridges in a spreadsheet. I paid $70 and $74 respectively for each cartridge and got a total 46 months of use out of the two cartridges. The average cost of use for the OEM Samsung laser cartridges has been $3.13 per month.I paid $15.25 for this compatible cartridge, if it lasts more than 5 months I will be saving money.So far so good! A 5 star rating. Time will tell how long it will last and how much of a bargain this toner is. I purchased this toner cartridge for the Samsung ML-2510 laser printer that I own. Originally, I purchased the printer because I really don't print much to begin with an in my experience with inkjet printers have been a case of expensive inks that dry out due to not being used. I liked the idea of having a laser printer because of overall costs and all I need is a black and white printer. So after two years, I finally ran out of the starter cartridge that Samsung was kind enough to include with the printer I bought on sell to begin with.Of course even if I bought the higher priced toner replacement from Samsung, I would have still been happy with my printer. Though looking at costs, I looked for a cheaper replacement to replace my fairly empty toner cartridge. I did read the reviews with the many positive and the so-so negative ones that exist as well. I must say that with the pages I have printed so far, I have yet to see any issues that those with negative reviews claim to have occurred to them. Maybe it's a case of a few bad apples(the product) or maybe operator error, but my experience has been great so far and was able to print out a copy of tax returns that I needed to print out with a nice layer of crisp and clear black text from this toner with no toner artifacts left anywhere on the paper.I do have some warning lights going off on my printer, however they were there before I replaced the toner and it could be from a couple moving adventures including the time where I tried picking up the printer using a piece that easily came off the printer causing it to fall flat on the concrete. So I'm not for certain if it's from the toner cartridge not talking to the printer properly or from actual damage that I might have caused previously, but beyond that this cartridge prints awesomely nonetheless.

It printed perfectly in the beginning. The duplex printer is great, and the by-pass feeder will take things as small as a 3x5 card. Sadly, within 6 months of putting the printer into service, it began printing poorly, leaving a shadow, or dirty look on my papers. Especially through the by-pass feeder. I cleaned it according to the manufacturers instructions, and ever since then have had streaked printouts with faded printing. When I called the service department, they said the warranty had expired 3 months after I purchased the printer. BUT all the paper work said there was a 1 year warranty. Now they want $300 to repair it.I agree with the other reviewers - it seems ridiculous to pay MORE for the toner cartridges than the printer itself cost. Guess that's where Samsung makes their profit.

I bought this to replace a wireless inkjet. The wireless setup went well on the windows 8 machine and was a total disaster on the Mac. I was unable to add the device with the directions provided or the drivers provided on Samsung's website. Luckily, I work in the technology sector and this printer has IPP. I assigned the printer a fixed IP and set up the printer using IPP -- that worked perfectly.Most people will likely struggle with this, the canon inkjet it replaced set up quickly and easily on both windows and OSX.Simply, this thing would have gone straight back into the box if I was the average consumer.Print quality and speed are good and the printer has novel features like Google cloudprint built in. It does work right out of the box if you just plan to plug it in via USB.Again, be wary if you own a Mac and intended for this to work out of the box via wireless.I'll update this when it comes time to replace the toner.

I bought this printer because my Samsung tablet 10.1 demanded to print only to a Samsung printer. Since this model was the lowest priced one I ordered it to use with the tablet as well as with my other two Dell computers. My tablet can only print to the HP C7180 when I want to print a color picture from the tablet.Installation with the enclosed disk was easy. I first installed it on my laptop, printed a test page and then I installed it on the desk top computer using the same procedure as outlined in the documentation.The tablet found it immediately without further installation issues. The printer gives a whining noise while printing but since it is only used for back-up printing tasks that is a non-issue.I just hope it will not die on me as with some other reviewers.The print quality is crisp and clear and the price is very competitive.

It works great. We have been using it continually for months now. Almost out of toner! I took a star off due to the issues I seem to have keeping the printer connected. This is supposed to be wireless however I have to keep it connected to a computer at all times and if it is not in use I have to turn it off then back on again to make sure it stays connected to a port. Incredibly annoying but as long as you have access to the power cord for easy on and off again not the worst in the world. Will think twice before buying another printer to make sure it is ACTUALLY wireless.It has printed various projects for us including wedding invitations. It has been pushed very hard and kept up with me. Not bad for the price paid when it was on sale.

I bought this printer thinking it would be ideal for international travel because it easily fits in carry-on luggage. I used it at home for one month before I left for Argentina and it worked flawlessly. When I arrived in Argentina I plugged it into a 120V/240V converter (the small inexpensive kind) and it worked fine for about five minutes, before going up in smoke. It is designed for 120V/60Hz and Argentina (and many other countries) uses 240V/50Hz. Samsung could sell a lot of these to international travelers if they only worked at both voltages/frequencies, like my Lenovo laptop, external flat screen display, cell phone charger, and all other electronic devices I carry with me for extended trips.

This is one of those products that does a great job for some people, but be careful...Out of the box, it's small and easy to set up on a desk or side table. Great for a home office or personal printer at work.Starting off with printing over a USB cable, it's quiet and quick for a small printer. It produces clear, crisp laser prints. We haven't used up a toner cartridge yet, so we don't have a sense of toner cost.As for the wireless capabilities...If you have a new WPS router, you may be able to achieve one-button setup with this printer. We don't have a new WPS router, but were were able to get it working wirelessly with some work. It took more effort than our other wireless printer, an Epson WorkForce 845 color inkjet all-in-one.Then we tried getting it to work on a network with Macs. This was harder, until we used the instructions in the review here on Amazon by E. Tran on June 24, 2012. That worked, but it was also a lot more work than with the Epson 845. Search the reviews here to find those instructions.In summary, if you want a small, quiet laser printer, this one works. If you want a wireless printer, be prepared for some possible issues unless you have one of the newer WPS wireless routers. I wanted to give 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4 stars because this is better than a 3 star product.

Just follow the instuction they provide it actually works, and it save me $70 bucks for getting a new catrage. However the print quality is not good as my original ink catrage, but it is still better quality than most of the inkjet printer.

I set the printer up to run wirelessly. Everything went well until I tried to set it up on a second computer. It was an imac and I couldn't get it to load the driver. I have Fusion loaded on with Windows 7 and I can print from windows, but not from the Mac OS. Our other computer is a Mac book pro and it works fine as well as Windows 7 on Parallels. This has been a bit frustrating.The printer itself is great. It prints well and I can even get it to work with my mobile devices. The speed is decent for this class of printer also. It can also do 2 sided printing. I may try to hook it up with a wire to see if I can get it to work on my imac, but that is the main sticking point.

I had a bit of a problem installing the cartridge until I compared it with my old one and realized that I had not removed a shroud that was causing the interference. That part of the installation instructions had been omitted on the box. If the manufacturer is not going to provide complete instructions, It might be a good idea to make distinctive color coded parts that are to be removed prior to installation. Right now, everything is the same color (black). Other than that small hang up, so far it works as well as the original Samsung cartridge.

The Samsung ML-2165 looks nice and all but maybe I got a bad one. I spent more time trying to get it to work correctly then actually printing pages. Took a couple tries for the software to work apon initial installation. I Had this printer for 3 weeks and it printed fine the first week I had it. Wireless printing wasnt too bad when it worked. Then, the next week, all my print jobs were sitting pending and I would hear it kick on, but wouldnt print. I connected the USB cable and tried reloading but then it doesnt recognize the printer.Troubleshooter says device is working properly. Samsung software says "ready to print". After staring at it for hours waiting for it to kick out pages, reloading software, hitting buttons, I decided it was time for an Office Space scene. Id rather buy a reputable brand then spend anymore time wondering why it sits there "ready to print" and does nothing.After I submit this, Im off to Office Depot to buy a real printer.

I replaced an older Samsung CLP-315W with this printer. The installation and setup was a breeze. I was not happy that the starter black cartridge reported empty after printing just 179 pages instead of the quoted 700+. This printer is almost identical to the previous versions with the exception of new cartridge designs. I am anticipating it will have the same issue ... imaging drum will "time out" at 16000 "impressions". In my experience, this is a forced replacement strategy on the part of Samsung because the pages printed just before the imaging drum times out are perfect.I am also not as excited about this model because Samsung is not selling bundled cartridges at a discount. With the 315W, I could purchase a 4 pack with all colors + black at a discount over purchasing individual cartridges. With this model, I can only find the cartridges sold as singles. So, this will be a bit more expensive to operate.

I must say that I'm very impressed with this Samsung wireless 365NW color printer. I've owned many laser printers and the Samsungs have been my favorites, due to their durability and print quality. This one isn't as compact as my other current printer the Samsung Color Laser Printer (CLP-315). This one measures (I'm estimating) 19" wide x 16" in depth.This printer is a snap to hook-up and get it to connect wirelessly. Samsung has improved the set-up software from the CLP-315. I'm not technical in the least and I had it up and running in less than 20 minutes. Samsung has also improved the durability of the paper tray compared to the CP-315, it slides much easier and doesn't hang-up at all.The best thing about this printer is the print quality of the photos. The photo's print just like a glossy photograph. I was very highly impressed with the color photos I printed out.This printer also holds a large volume of paper without getting jammed up like most of these types of printers do. The only drawback I can see to this printer is that the printer cartridges (there are 4 all together) seem to run anywhere from $85 to $100. Which to some could be very pricy.

Received this as a Christmas present. Turned it on, it seemed to go through a warm-up cycle, then shut off... never to turn on again. The seller was absolutely disinterested (more than 30 days had passed since the purchase). Samsung on-line service is abysmal. After wasting about 4 hours with on-line service, they gave me a repair number and a shipping label with no ship to address. More on-line chats and I finally got an address. I had to pay shipping, and here it is three months later and FedEx brings it back saying there is no such address...

This is the 2nd Samsung printer that I've purchased, the other being an ML 2151N. So when I needed another replacement printer for home, I looked to the Samsung brand. Basically, the printer is okay, if not good, for the basic job of printing. But there are glaring problems. First? The toner cartridges. There are two available, one that's supposed to give you 1500 pages, and one that gives you 2,500 pages. From the outset, this should be a warning signal. A laser cartridge should be able to give you 5,000, with the high volume 8-10,000 pages. So right off, this is lacking. But in actual day to day use, it doesn't come close to advertised specs. I'm not printing photos mind you, just letters, your common 5% of the page printing. With that, I went through my first cartridge in 2 weeks. 1,500 pages? No, less than 700. Okay, so next I order the high volume (2,500 pages) cartridge. So did I get 2,500 pages? No, just barely over 1,500. The design of the toner cartridge is a flawed concept. Yes, here on Amazon you can get this printer for $90. But if you do any kind of daily printing, you'll easily spend twice that, A MONTH, on toner cartridges. Remind you of an HP Inkjet? The advantage of using a laser has always been the lower per page costs, because of the high volume capabilities of the toner cartridges. This laser blurs that advantage.Next in the complaint department, is it's handling of envelopes and special papers. Let me put it this way, there are probably 10's of thousands of printers on the market, or have been in the last 10 years. NONE, let me repeat that, NONE are worse than the ML2525W in handling envelopes and special papers (Well, okay, I'll admit the comparable Brother laser uses the same lame technology.) It has a slot. A single slot. You can't load more than one envelope at a time, or 1 piece of paper at a time. If you wish to print a 10 page document on special two sided letterhead, that requires a special feed? 1 at a time. And on everyone, you've got to wait for a light to flash, and then press a button, then wait a few more seconds for it to catch, which in my experience of having to print hundreds of envelopes, only worked 2 out of 3 times. The advertised 25 pages per minute, in real use was closer to 3 pages per minute.But, on the good side, it IS quiet. You really can't hear it work, practically silent. And if you only print a page or two a day, it's probably fine for you. But for any real printing, or for any "work", avoid purchasing this printer. Spend the money for a "real" laser printer

Though the delivery thru Amazon Fulfillment was fine, the cartridge did not work with my printer: Samsung ML 1865W. It says it does in the drop-down menu, and when I called Amazon, they said it does, probably from the same info provided, I assume, by the seller, but the printer would not allow the incompatible cartridge. Wasted time and would be wasted $$ if I didn't have Prime, which is not suggesting you get Prime. It just made things easier. I suggested Amazon muscle in on the company's saying this is compatible. They would not allow this as a one-star rating of the seller, but I don't understand why, since there is nothing wrong with the cartridge, I think, it is simply incompatible, tho the seller says it is. That is their responsibility--to provide the proper information. If they don't, how can we trust them?

I bought this printer to replace an older printer that finally was to expensive to repair. I like the fact that it is a color laser (Does not run when the page gets wet.) I use it as my home printer and would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable printer for home or small office use. It also has manual duplexing capability. There is also a an option on the printer for economode. This option allows you to print two logical pages on the same side of the paper. Only problem with this is the print size is reduced for each logical page.

this works great in my Samsung printer. I use it at work (I am a teacher) when I need a quick printout or need to print something confidential that I don't want to go to the printer down the hall. (confidential for the student)
I do not do a lot of volume and it is a perfect price and lasts a long time for my purposes.

The instructions provided inside this kit are useless, you can replentish the toner of your cartridge by less intrusive methods described in other reviews. When people say "it only takes 5 minutes..." it's true. I was a little hesitant, then I found a video in youtu .be and really, after 5 min the toner was full again.

Print quality? After refilling it, I put it back into the printer and printed two pages and no black traces, no spots, no ink marks, no nothing.

Do it yourselve and save yourself more than $50.

This was a printer that I was looking at when i was looking at purchasing monochrome laser printer. I decided to no go with this printer as the toner cartridges are very expensive. The printer that I ended up going with was the Brother HL-2270DW. The reason why are as follows is that you only get an estimated 1500 pages per toner compared to the brothers 2600. The toners for this printer start at around $34 for a compatible or remanufactured cartridge as comparded to the HL-2270DW that I got for a little under $12. I must also note that if you go with the samsung or brother cartridges that the prices are about the same, however, you do potentially get more pages from the brother toner which will lower your price per print. As I didn't purchase this printer I can't can't comment on its fitness. A side form the toner issue the printers have roughly the same features and didn't make a difference as to my purchasing decision.

I notice others had difficulty setting this device up with a Mac / iPhone. I had no problems whatsoever, it works very, very well. Maybe that's thanks to an upgrade in Apple's Airport Utility software. In version 6.2 select your router and then go to the Base Station drop down menu and select "add wi-fi printer." There's no WPS button on your Airport Express or Time Capsule that I'm aware of, but adding through the software on your Mac works just great.Then download the Samsung Print Mobile app from the App store and follow the simple directions to add the printer. It all works pretty well and you'll be printing wirelessly from your Mac and your iOS device in no time.

Having bought comparable toner cartridges before, I expected this cartridge to be fully functional. To my surprise, when I opened it, part of the handle had been broken off; okay, I thought, this shouldn't affect the printing. I placed the cartridge in its place and started to print. The roller on the cartridge would not rotate to push the paper through. I wound up with a paper jam time after time.I called Amazon and they were very gracious and apologetic. I am returning the cartridge for a full refund and will look elsewhere. This was truly a disappointment.

This is not the best printer in the world by any means, but it has some nice assets for those on a budget. One, it's compact, not a monster in a huge box like some of my recent printers. Two, it doesn't do anything fancy, but it does it well, the printing was clear and very booklike in quality as expected from a laser printer. Three, we have a Comcast network with a combo router and modem, and it was very easy to set this as a stand alone on the network in minutes. Both me and my roomate printed test pages within 2 minutes of running the software setup disk on our repective laptops. I currently work in Chicago and communte on the weekends back to my home in Fort Wayne, and this is the perfect printer to set up for a second household near work.For usefullness it has a large paper tray great for home use and the wifi link is nice, as is the price of under a hundred bucks for this. There are no fancy extra's, no scanner, media feeds, or color, but for printing out documents for daily business use, this is great. If you want a printer for photos, fancy greeting cards, special media like disc lables, to transcribe t-shirt iron-ons, or to serve as your copy machine, this is not the droid you're looking for, so search elsewhere. If you want to do your taxes, print correspondence, print out articles to read, barcode coupons, or just black and white signs, this printer is made for you.

Thanks for many of the thoughtful reviews here-after finding out how much a replacement toner cartridge cost for my Samsung 1865W along with seeing the poor reviews on the after-market cartridge replacements, figured I'd give this a shot for around $10 including shipping. Works perfectly-hallelujah!

Watch the video/videos that are referenced by several of the other reviewers and it's a snap-best part is that once you've done it once, it will be easy as pie should you need to add toner in the future. Just pry off the cap ends (with a sharp knife or exacto knife), empty out any remaining toner remnants and pop open the toner plug and refill with the new toner, carefully (best done outdoors as there are stray "puffs" of toner that may fly in the air a bit as you refill)-replace the old chip with the new chip that is enclosed and pop the top back on and place the cartridge back into your printer......you'll be back in business and the printer will/should recognize the new chip indicating a full toner cartridge. (you don't need to put any screws in to replace the end caps.....the top snaps right back on and holds firmly).

Very very happy with this purchase and this find!
