The printer was purchased for my wife after a bad experience with a HP ink jet printer that had an insatiable appetite for new ink cartridges after printing only a few pages. My wife loves this printer. It's doing exactly what she wanted it to do, and is pretty quiet for a laser printer. It was easy to set up, just plug and play. We aren't using the wifi feature, so I can't comment on that. So far I would give it a five, recognizing that is based on a very brief ownership.

I've had this printer for about 4 months now, and it works flawlessly. The wireless setup was a bit complicated, but it took under 10 minutes to set up.I've been using it over wifi from my Mac for several months with no problems. I'd definitely buy it again.

I purchased my Samsung ML-1710 printer in 2003. Always use Samsung toners. Samsung toners are the best, even if they cost more than other brands - well worth the money to get trouble free printing.I usually get over a year's worth of printing from a new toner.

This is a nice little printer. It does what I expect. It has been only 4 weeks, so I have not needed any support. It takes a few seconds for the first page to print, but once it starts it is fast 23 pages per minute. I got this printer because the mfp's, while nice to have, they had too many buttons and too many things could go wrong for my wife, the primary user. She needed something simple that just prints when she needs it. And it does.

I bought this product a couple of week's ago and really disappointed with it. The reviews about the WiFi setup made me a bit skeptical but some of the reviewers had detailed instructions on the setup so decided to go ahead with the purchase.Setup on the Wireless network was not an issue. After I printed a couple of test pages, the indicator turned red. Smart Panel software indicated that it a "Fuser Error". After a frustrating call with Samsung Customer Support, I was told that the item could be defective and to ship it for Service. Its a disappointing to pack something and get it to a Service Center when you've hardly even started to use it.I've now contacted the Seller (thru Amazon) to request a replacement or refund.My advice is not to bother purchasing this product.

Set up was a breeze, literally had it up and running with my wireless network in 5 minutes. And I just installed my wireless router last night, so I am no expert. There was nothing in the user guide that told what the buttons on top were for, got an answer from Samsung over the phone in 30 seconds. Always loved Samsung products and will always recommend them.

The frustrating problem with this printer is that it does not allow the program software (e.g. Publisher)to select the type of paper to be printed. If you are printing an envelope, you must remember to go back to the printer page setup and select envelope. Otherwise the printer will print the envelope as though it was using letter type paper. And the printer remembers the last paper you used, so if you forget to change envelope to letter, your document will be printed as though you are using an envelope. Very, very frustrating. If they don't change the software this will be the last Samsung printer I purchase. Printer anyone?????Samsung ML-2525W Wireless Mono Laser Printer

This copier/printer/scanner/fax machine is great for the small business owner. The wireless system was easy to set up -- just a few clicks and router info, and it was running. Black ink only, but that is ok - I'm tired of spending $$$$$ on color. I recommend it for home or small business use.

At work, I have seen replacement cartridge boxes like the one pictured. Besides price, this helped me choose between vendors. What arrived was in a completely different box. However, it inserted just like OEM and worked immediately, right out of the box, solving my problem. I have printed about 50 pages with no issues. There are no instructions. Gently shake the new cartridge form side to side a few times to stir up the toner powder before inserting the cartridge.

I went to the store to buy the Brother mono laser printer that was on sale for 49.99. I was going to buy that one but I really wanted wireless printing. I also found out that the Brother did not include the cords so that was going to cost me another 15.00. As I was looking around at my options I came across this printer. It includes WiFi and the cable is included. I was worried that I would need to buy another cable to plug to my router but during set up you use the included USB cable just to set up the printer and then you unplug it and it works great. This printer is quiet, fast, clean looking, and has a small footprint so it fits nice almost anywhere. I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for an affordable laser.

I bought this toner for my Samsung ML-2510. I have experimented with several brands (since you can buy 3 aftermarket cartridges for the price of a single Samsung cartridge!) and none of them worked as well as the original Samsung - with the exception of this one. I will definitely continue to buy it.

The comments I've read in reviews about the Samsung ML-2525 W Laser Printer not working well with Macintosh Computers are correct. This is a nice little printer with great print quality but it takes itself Off Line after each page. The only way I've found to get it back on line is to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in again. Then it will print one page before taking itself off line again. Very frustrating.

I would say the price point is exeptional. The feature set was robust. Took a little bit of time to get the wireless networking aspect to work, but overall was not too bad. Did not require customer support, but didn't think the directions were the clearest. Overall FANTASTIC Value.

The Samsung ML-2525w had great reviews from CNET and here, but after purchasing it I couldn't get it to connect with my Apple Time Capsule. The printer would read every network in my neighborhood, so I know it probably works with every other wireless router than Apple's Time Capsule. After following the instructions to connect to an Apple Airport Express and working with Samsung Support, I was told that it won't work wirelessly with the Apple Time Capsule. I tried to get it to work work with the USB cable, but it would go offline after printing the first page. I just shipped it back for credit and need to find another monolaser printer that works with the Apple Time Capsule.

We've been running a business on this printer for over a year without a problem. There is a huge cost savings, speed and quality compared to inkjet, and this is exactly that kind of entry-level printer. If you use inkjet now, please switch to this (or another reasonable quality) laser printer - you'll never look back.Perhaps I just got lucky, since I never had the paper handling issues others have had. Paper handling is tricky. I would suggest that if you have these issues, immediately try to return it and get a new one.... because they aren't all that way.

While I've always found printers to be a problematic sort, this one takes the cake. It doesn't work half the time, and when it does it's very temperamental. Only one button and terrible OSX support means it's impossible to fix software problems!

I contacted a local Samsung repair shop at 215-426-8639 (RTA Service in Phila, PA) and learned that the printer has an optical sensor so after good cleaning the empty container should work. After emptying the full container I washed it with water so it looked clean like new and the printer works again. The central Samsung support at 1-800-SAMSUNG(726-7864) didn't have this advice but also didn't make any comment against this procedure when I informed them that cleaning the waste toner tank with water worked. Samsung WASTE TONER CONTAINER ( CLP-500WB/XAA )

I've been using this printer for about 3 years, have printed maybe 2,000 sheets with it, and have loved it. No feed problems, the stock ink cartridge lasted forever, and with a cheap 3rd-party ink replacement for around $25-30 this thing just keeps going and going. Excellent value, especially since I bought it for around $80 at Staples on some clearance deal. I wish I could find an inexpensive color laser printer this good.

THE HUNT FOR THE PERFECT ALL-IN-ONE OFFICE MACHINE!Like one of the other reviewers here, I am in real estate and needed a multifunction machine that used color laser printing instead of inkjet.But the major consideration for me was a Scan-to-Email (PDF) functionality. When you are working on deals in multiple cities, scanning the large documents is much easier than Fedexing paper all over the place.I couldn't find any comprehensive reviews on this product because of how new it was. Now that I've owned it for a couple of months, I figure I better post one myself to help out those who are looking at this machine.After running the machine for a couple of months I am quite happy with it and it is running well. Basic setup of the machine out of the box was very simple with easy visual instructions and tabs. Out of the box I could do color copies, black and white copies, and faxing. Setting up the printer driver over the network was very simple too. Setting up the network scanning and scan-to-email functions involved a bit more pain.PERFORMANCE BY FEATURE-COPIES - It makes great black and white copies and decent color copies. Copying is simple, Green button for a color copy, Grey button for B/W copy. You can copy multiple pages via the document feeder or lift the lid and copy something odd sized on the flatbed. My only gripe is that you have to wait for the unit to warm up before hitting the copy button. It would be great if I could just put the document in the feeder, hit the button and walk away, instead of staring at it while it warms up. But it does warm up quickly. Sleep settings for the copier are selected in the web-based control panel.FAX- Its a fax, I don't know what else to say. It works fine for me, but I don't use the fax function that much.PRINTER- I can print from my wireless laptop, sweet! The printer setup on the network was relatively simple. I installed the driver, the software found the printer and configured itself and I was up and running. I found that print quality was too thin on the regular setting, I changed it to BEST quality in the printer driver and it looks great now.My only gripe with the printer function is the additional Software Samsung installs. They included this program called Dr. Printer or something like that, supposed to troubleshoot printer problems. However, it doesn't support the network printing at all. I had the network printing setup perfectly, but I was curious what the Dr. Printer software did. So I ran it, it says "I found and fixed the problem". It had totally deleted all of my network printer settings and set the printer up as local USB connected printer. So I had to reinstall the whole network printing thing again. Damn my curiousity.SCANNING- You can scan from the flatbed or the auto feeder in either legal or letter size. You can either send the document as an e-mail directly from the machine or send it directly to your computer. Sounds great, unfortunately it won't do all of these things without being set up first.Scanning direct to e-mail on this machine is my favorite feature, but it was also the hardest damn thing to initially set up. The network scanning feature (scan to your computer instead of e-mail direct from the machine) was much easier to setup.SCANNING, TWO DIFFERENT WAYS--SCANNING TO YOUR COMPUTER VIA THE NETWORK- This function requires the installation of software and it also requires your computer to be on when you are scanning. I found this feature reasonably easy to setup. You push scan, network scan, and then select a destination for the scan on your computer... such as Adobe Acrobat, or particular folders you setup. The scan then magically launches the application on your computer and the document is right in front of you ready to be e-mailed or manipulated.BUT, each network scan destination can only handle one setup. That means the paper size, resolution and color/BW settings are written in stone for each preset. Which drove me crazy because the only application I use is Acrobat. I got around this by setting up seperate preset folders for the type of scan I was doing, like "Color Legal" "B/W Letter". The good part about doing this is that I don't have to hunt for the file regardless of what folder it goes to because Acrobat automatically launches with the scan open on the screen. From there I usually e-mail or save it where I want it to go.SCAN DIRECTLY TO E-MAIL FROM THE MACHINE- The direct "scan to e-mail" function was the hardest thing to setup. You have to have an actual POP e-mail address for your scanner, which is how it sends PDFs or JPGs of TIF files directly from the box. Getting an e-mail account setup is simple enough, but the control panel won't recognize the servers by name, for example standard pop mail server names list POP.GMAIL.COM. Instead you have to actually convert the server names into IP addresses (I found a website somewhere that did this) and insert that IP address into the contr

I am using an aging MacBook Pro (using Mac OS 10.5.8) and was a little anxious due to many cautionary reviews of other Mac users. However, I can attest that I had no issues in the setup, which took less than 15 minutes from unpacking to reliable wireless printing. I cannot offer much explanation for the frustrating episodes of other Mac users, but I can only offer one piece of humble advice: Use the "airportthru" option and it works flawlessly. Print quality is good and it's moderately quiet (perfectly quiet when in standby, though it whirs up like any laser printer when it prints). For a sub $100 printer, I'm impressed.

It was purchased on Black Friday of 2007 for a very low price. After 3 years of less than average usage, the printer and original ink still have not failed. It prints quite quickly as well. Being an older model printer, I did have to find a download online (free) in order for my newer computer to recognize it. Made in China, but seems OK. No toxic, fumey odors.

Simple inexpensive printer that works beautifully on PC. On Mac it is great when you connect through USB but the wireless part does not work. After four hours on the phone with the tech support they could connect via ethernet to the router and then using IP to my Mac (the latest MacBook pro). To me it is a great temporary solution waiting fir some serious multifunction printer to go on sale.

Absolutely amazing. I am an IT professional, and the workarounds and stopgap measures one must take to get this to print on a MAC, beyond the first page, are ridiculous.Trust the above- while a few have reported success, we have 3 of these and none of us in IT can get consistant results. Is in obvious need of a firmware and driver upgrade but cannot talk to ANYONE at Samsung that has a clue.Buy something else!

This was a TERRIBLE toner cartridge. I paid $135.86 for an OEM toner cartridge, thinking it would last a long time.I don't know if they sold me a counterfeit or a used or old OEM, but the cartridge went dry after 2200 pages!!!!!I could not believe it. I only print about 40 pages per week on this printer, which I use at home for letters.WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!!! You are better off going elsewhere, unless you want to throw your hard-earned money down the drain!

Don't buy this if you are on 10.6.5. I have had it less than 2 months and upgraded to 10.6.5 and it broke ALL the software with this. Their horrible tech support refused to even escalate me to Tier 2 or offer to contact me when drivers were available even though I'm a registered "Owner" on their site.

So far the ML2525w has been working without issue. The install software was easy to install with the wireless. It prints much quicker than my hp1100 inkjet but that's expected. The Epson smart utility auto installed a firmware upgrade which was painless. For $100 I'm happy with the printer and quality of the prints. No issues.

My printer has about 600 pages on it now, and it's been a solid, reliable device. It's a little noisy (comparable to other laser printers I've used), but print quality and speed are quite good. I like the fact that I had an option to install only the printer driver (and not extra cruft) to make the device function.Overall, A+. Great deal!

I have tried and failed to install this on a new Imac. I cannot believe the appalling support by Samsung. The installation disc they supply simply does not work and it is not as though they have not had this feedback from other customers - see other feed back on this thread. I am pretty computer literate and simply gave up after many wasted hours. A visit to their website to get support is laughable, it takes you through an installation process under the heading of this printer and talks you through setting up scanning software! Unless you are an advanced user i would really avoid this printer. I have returned it for a re-fund it is just a shame they cannot re- fund my time!

Do not buy this printer! I paid virtually nothing for it but it's worthless now because replacing the toner is impossible. I have to break my cartridge to get toner into it. I now have to buy a new printer because there is no replacement cartridge.

This is the second ML-2525W printer that we've purchased for our office. Both have worked well, and the respective users have been very pleased with the product. Neither user uses the wi-fi aspect, so I cannot speak to that.

Our previous Samsung laser printer finally died after 8+ years of service. So, I found this Samsung model for a rock-bottom price and hope that it lasts as long as our first one. It is a great printer that was so easy to set up and get printing. The print speed is amazing for such a small printer. I chose the free shipping option with my purchase, but still received the item in less than a week (over a week ahead of schedule). I highly recommend this printer for everyday home use.

This printer survived five years of neglect to spring back into action!I used it as a "coin tray" full of ticket stubs, old pins, junk from trade shows.(One trade show stress reliever fused the plastic of the two top tray pieces, so they're fused into one mass.)I kept my laser pointers there, you know? For 5 years!Then last month I took a day off to work on my taxes. Finished at 1pm, and wanting to do almost anything to avoid driving all the way to work on a personal day, I shoveled the top tray clean, plugged it in, and ditched the parallel cable in favor of a new USB A-B.I gave XP the ML-1450 postscript PPD, and away I went! This old beauty printed all 30-some pages beautifully -- and I couldn't even prise the lid open to check on it!A testament to a well-built 1200 DPI, Postscript 3 battleship of a printer!BTW, I got the PS3 module, 64 MB of 72-pin SIMMs, and a free stress relieving squid for about $60 5 years ago, money well spent says I! If they still exist, I bet they're cheaper now!

bought it in April with very minimum use of the machine. in August, after a 3 weeks business trip, the machine got an error #02-000 with useless message "Turn off and on". called tech support,the guy was unable to help. then sent to a service shop. for more than a week, the service shop is still waiting for the replacement parts from Samsung. even the repair shop cannot guarantee that the printer will work after replacing the parts!! i don't think i willl buy samsung's product again.

I literally plugged this computer into my wired network at home, opened System Preferences on my Mac and added it, and hit print in preview and it worked. The printer supports Bonjour, so installing it was a breeze. The documentation is a nightmare though - I'm glad it just worked. I never believed I could give any printer a five-star rating.

I have a Mac and this printer has been nothing but problems. It really is not made to work with MAC!!! I have been talking to Samsung about 18 times now and after two months of futile trials I have decided to donate this computer to a friend who has a pc, it may work for pc without a problem?The most I got this printer to work for about a minute and then it goes off line mode, I have reinstalled the latest drivers numerous times and again it works for a bout a minute and switch itself to off line mode!!!!Save your money and don't buy this printer, buy something else a Brother or Epson, etc

This is, in theory, a terrific and compact multifunction printer/copier/fax/scanner. BUT the scanner drivers are problematic if you are using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. Despite the fact that the Samsung website seems to have the correct drivers, there ARE bugs and it took me several tries with the phone help of a Tech to get the scanner to work and keep working.Usual deal--Samsung claims that it's a Widows 7 64 bit issue that Microsoft needs to address; Microsoft claims that Samsung has to fix it.I still like this machine, but if you're not at least fairly computer literate, it won't be easy to set up.
