Set-up was incredibly easy and in 2 minutes I had my new monitor up and running. The colors are absolutely stunning, and the glossy frame looks wonderful. Movies look great, and for you gamers out there, wait 'til you play WoW on this one!This has got to be the best thing out there with a price tag that will make your wallet as happy as you'll be. Don't doubt it anymore, get it now!

I have been keeping my eyes open for a new widescreen monitor in the 22" range for about the past six months, just waiting for the right one to present itself. I figured I would know it when I saw it. Turns out I was right. I saw this in the store and had to have it. I took it home and did a little research to make sure there weren't any potential problems/inadequecies with it before opening the box. It all checked out and I haven't looked back. It has a classy design and the display is absolutely stunning. I have tested it with games and movies and it doesn't disappoint. I am using the DVI connection (mine came with the VGA, DVI and USB cables in the box). I can't comment on the speakers; this was not even a factor in my purchase as I knew I would never use them anyway. Also, I have not installed the included software, so can't comment on that either. I think maybe I read from other reviews somehwhere that it was buggy so I didn't install it right away. I have not even found it necessary for my needs and probably won't even bother installing it anyway.

Exceptional Screen, good response time, Great color, and very ture clors if you are into photo editing. DVD's also look great.It not only has excellent adjustments for height, tilt but the screen can be rotated 90 degrees as well. This is a big plus that you will not find in monitors of this price.Just watch the back lighting and this monitor is almost the best on the market.The HP w2207 LCD Monitor would be perfect, if it had a better refresh rate, even if it was 70hz.Overall I believe his monitor is one of the best I seen and a great buy.

I bought a brand new HP 2175 all-in-one with two full new cartridges (56 and 57) for my daughter. She used the printer very little. After about a year the printer stopped working, with the message "remove and check cartridges". I tried cleaning the cartridges with alcohol but to no avail. My daughter was at school and didn't need the printer much so she just stopped using it. Now she brought it home and I tried fixing it again, to no avail. I know the cartridges are almost full. So then I started looking online and found a blog where someone said that the cartridges have a date on them, and that the cartridge expires on that date regardless of how much ink it contains. I looked and sure enough they have dates on them. I just called HP and their tech confirmed that this is true (it is to prevent people from refilling them).I have been buying HP printers for a decade, but I think I've just bought my last one. If HP is going to terminate my cartridges even when they are full just because some date has gone by, that's the end of our relationship.Even more amazing is that there is no acknowledgement of this "feature" on sellers' web sites or in stores. Buyer beware. The cartridge you buy may have already expired, or may have only a few days left on it. That'll be $50 right down the drain, fella. Unbelievable.

Ordered this monitor from Amazon when Newegg screwed up and didn't send me a Viewsonic I thought I wanted. The HP W2207 is more expensive than the Viewsonic was going to be, but I am glad I ended up with it instead of the Viewsonic. It's just a wonderful monitor. I do graphics and signs for a living, and this is my new work monitor. The widescreen shape is better for sign making (think about the shape of most signs and banners). This monitor arrived in perfect condition, no dead pixels. The movement of the base is exceptionally good. The picture out of the box is impressive, but too bright and a touch too cool. The adjustments are easy to make, and I calibrate using an i1 anyway. I've been using it for about a month and it's just a great monitor.

I bought this monitor to support the ACER laptop I have. The Crystal Brite technology is outrageously good (I have this on my laptop as well) and I just wanted bigger.The resolution, the refresh rate and the image quality are fantastic. You won't find a better monitor in this bracket at this price !

I have 3 PC's on a switchbox and they all look great on this monitor. The Mac Os X looks amazing on this display. I did not think I would use the USB ports but they really come in handy and the speakers sound good too.No dead pixels and the color looks great. I'm happy with it.

I love the quality of the picture the monitor gives. I've only had it for a month now and hope I don't have any problems. HP support sucks, as I have tried to use it before. Knowing that, the last 19" HP monitor I had did a good job and is still kicking.

The HP W2207 22" Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor has been a great addition to our office. The color is sharp, crisp and very clean. Working with photographs has improved greatly as the color rendition is superb. Moving between programs on the screen is flawless and has made work flow easier on the monitor.There are two USB ports on the side that were not discussed in the original description. These were welcome.The built-in speakers are tinny but serviceable for listening to streaming audio (talk radio) but are not useful for music replication. This brings the monitor down to 4 stars rather than 5.The literature on the monitor is disappointing. It provides no real insight into the use of the monitor or adjustments. Neither the online nor the hard copy literature is worth reading. Much of the setup is done by intuition.Overall this is a great monitor. We are not disappointed in the purchase.

What can I say except that if you are in the market for a widescreen 22" monitor that no matter what your needs are this is the monitor for you. It's cheap enough to be near the lowest end of the price spectrum but is still the best in the bunch. The stand alone is worth another $50 over other monitors. I first bought the Samsung 226BW because it was on sale and had a 2 ms faster response time, but when I brought it home, the stand was WAY too low (and not adjustable) and the screen did not impress. I went back to the store and happily returned it for this monitor for $30 more with a glossy-like screen that looks cool even turned off and the best stand in the market (not only adjustable height but with swivel). Take my word for it look no further for a widescreen 22" monitor.

I noticed the price has gone up since I ordered and received my W2207. Doesn't matter, this is the best LCD Monitor available today. Mine came with no dead pixels and was delivered by Amazon early.First, the color accuracy is far better than any of the others I looked at. I have adjusted the color temperature to match what I shoot at and editing my pics and videos is just a dream.Second, the product design is the best I have seen to date. The overall look, the stand, the buttons, everything is just right. You have to make sure you don't rest your keyboard on the stand while you are typing or it will shake a little but that's not really an important nit.Third, no bleed through at the top or bottom. Extremely uniform from edge to edge and the black is very black.Finally, I can't believe I can rotate the screen to edit documents! The HP software doesn't work right, but my onscreen controls allow for rotation. I can have a legal size document up full size on the screen with nice large characters and just edit away. No other screen in this price class allows this feature.This is the best LCD Monitor available under $600.

As would any prudent buyer, I searched many flat panel monitors before my purchase of the W2207. Although time will tell, at this juncture (3 months after purchase), I could not be happier with my findings.I highly recommend thoroughly experimenting with the monitor settings so as to adequately meet your viewing needs/habits. You will find obvious differences in image projections based on settings you may default to.If this 22" HP lasts as long as my previous flat screen CRT, I will then become ecstatic over thrilled... That's an A+ !

Pros: Big, beautiful, rotates to page layout, built-in USB ports, easy menu (if a little backwards), height adjustable stand, tilt adjustableCons: Speaker (don't bother), shows fingerprints on gloss black surround (nit picking)Love it. And as soon as I get the gamma, contrast, and brightness to were my retinas will last the rest of my life, I'll be content. Actually I have done this already, but I just rebuilt my PC and now I get to do it again.What could they have done to make it better for me? Nothing.Jay

I am using this monitor for a week now. It worked right out of the box No special adjustments necessary. Amazingly bright and sharp monitor. Actually, I had to reduce the brightness little bit to my needs. One thing, you must install the software for the portrait mode to work. Once you install the software, it will automatically switch to protrait mode when you tilt the monitor. Highly recommended, Nice job HP.

I'm disappointed that it's difficult finding this product, locally. Target nor Walmart carried them but they were at Office Depot at a comparable price with Amazon.I use these cartridges in an HP Photosmart C-3150. They work fine for color copies but for photos they're just "okay." The colors seem a little washed out even when using new cartridges. The printer and inks are meant for printing photos; I expected more vibrancy.

I purchased the HP w2207 for gaming, movies, and general use. It has far exceeded my expectations. I bought it after comparing it side to side against competing Samsung and Acer models - they were dim and not as vibrant in comparison. I've yet to see a better monitor with regards to visual quality than this one.It is expensive but for a 22-inch monitor the HP w2207 CANNOT be beat. If you have the money it is well worth the price. It was worth every penny.

This is a beautiful monitor. The contrast ratio is high as well as the brightness (you'll need to turn the defalt contrast and brightness way down to get the sharpest, most accurate picture). The black level is very good with no backlight leak. Colors are rich, vibrant, beautiful and far more accurate than any other monitor this size even at almost twice price that I have seen. Compared to the Samsung 225BW, which I have owned and took back to get this unit, this is a better monitor in many respects with much better color, darker blacks, and a bit wider viewing angle. The only negatives are lack of a DVI cable, very buggy software as of this writing (I assume this will be fixed in the next year), and heavy reflection on the polished screen surface which can be very distracting in a brightly lit room. Even with these concerns, I am giving it a perfect rating because I don't think one could buy a better monitor for the price, and this is definitely the best of the current crop of 22" widescreen TN units.

This monitor is simply put outstanding. Everything is absolutely crisp and crystal clear. Colors feel extremely vibrant. There are two things, though, that make this monitor a cut above the grade for me: 1.) HP did an outsanding job packing and shipping my monitor. I've had many monitors that are supposedly great monitors get to my house and not work due to being damnaged during shipment. The HP w2207 did not have this problem. 2.) I really like HP's stand for this monitor. You'll find many other monitors that have the same great image quality as the HP w2207 but might not have the same quality of monitor stand. Great monitor. Would buy again.

My first word after hooking it up was....WOW!!!!! I highly recommend this monitor. I have now had this monitor for about 2 months..and continue to be amazed at the picture quality. The picture is super crisp, bright, and clear. I did a lot a research and was looking at also the Gateway & Samsung monitors. The HP seriously blows them away! This monitor came with all necessary cables, and is very user friendly. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

As with the other reviewer, I've had my 21" CRT Monitor replaced with the HP L1940T 19" LCD.The display is bright and clear. There are no color noises. Blacks are deep. Colors are bright. Good 100 degree viewing angle. After that, it gets a little dark, but, I don't think that it is a big deal. The construction of the monitor itself is great. I like the different angles that you can place the screen at also.The screen saves so much space now that I can place my tower back on my desk!!

Monitor works great! For an Accountant who uses Excel a lot . . . you can see almost double the columns you see on a normal monitor! Very clear picture. I'm very pleased with the product!

This is the first LCD I've used on a regular basis; it was issued to me at work. My first impressions were that the design is attractive, the base is sturdy and I suddenly had a lot more desk space than with my old 20" CRT. That was where my good impressions ended.I took a resolution hit with this monitor, as it only goes to 1280x1024. I'm used to 1600x1200, though I imagine that would be a bit tight on a 19" monitor. Don't know why they can't produce one that does 1400x1040!My work PC only has an analog VGA output, no DVI, and I notice that blacks and dark colors in the analog signal are VERY noisy - they exhibit distracting flicker and an unpleasant grainyness. When the black background of the on-screen config display is shown, it is very dark and noise-free, so I assume this problem only applies to analog signals.Another complaint I have is that you must be *perfectly* centered in front of this display to avoid darkening at the edges. Moving even just slightly to the left or right, or up and down, causes whites and light backgrounds to develop a pinkish cast.Overall, this display is usable, but far from enjoyable. I want my CRT back!*Edit April 2008* Using this display with the DVI input takes care of the noise I noticed previously in darker spots. However, the edge discoloration remains...

Print quality is fine, but holy moly, you can maybe get 100 pages out of each cartridge. I'm changing them very frequently so overall the cost of each page is much higher than it should be. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that these 92's are only used in low cost printers, as HP is probably using their low output to subsidize the cost.

Since I really love the X-Bright screen look vereses the traditional flat Matte look, this monitor is BEAUTIFUL.I am very inpressed with the design and quality of this model. It truly stood out against other monitors. The whopping 22'' display is great since I am in grapihic arts. Nothing here to complain about. I looked for monitors for a few weeks before coming across the HP x2207 and when I saw this one, this monitors caght my eye. I am running it at the full resolution which is 1680 x 1050 for bright. No matter what your needs are this monitor will fit every area from Professionals to someone on a tight budget. This monitor sells for a very good price and I highly recommend it!

This is the best monitor after Apple Displays, and for 350 bux, that's just the best deal you will find for a 22" Screen! Everything looks so sharp, it's got that glossy look I simply love. I def. recommend it to ANYONE, I'm a graphic designer and it's working for me very well.

The HP 92 Black Inkjet Print Cartridge (C9362WN) produces excellent print quality in both black and color. Compared to different printers that I have used though, it doesn't last very long requiring more frequent purchase of cartridges.

Font rendering by default is horrible in OS X.I changed all my fonts to Helectiva, or any other would be fine.Download TinkerTool to set font smoothing to size 144, will turn off smoothing and be easier on ur eyes.Fonts look as sharp as the do in Linux now!!Awesome Monitor, I'd get a second one if I had the room ;)Also is great in Vista as seen in my local store!HP did it great as always :)

Waaaayy too few prints out of these cartridges. They seem to last about half as long as standard cartidges for my previous Epson and Canon printers. Quality is good. Number of sheets per cartidge is poor.

This monitor is awesome! Excellent color and brightness, superb build quality and no dead pixels either. Factor in the current rebate offer from hp and it's excellent value for money.This monitor is being used for graphic design and illustration, as well as some gaming - it performs superbly in all areas. It's plugged into an ATi X700 Pro video card.Don't worry if you don't have a DVI capable video card either - I've tried VGA and DVI and there is virtually no difference to be seen.Quality product - buy with confidence!

I can't believe I am the first person to review this ink! It's really great ink. First, it's not messy and comes in a little box. Second it's black and really black, not like some shade of grey or anything like that. Third, it fits in your printer and works great and prints black. That's it.Sam

I've had my HP 1100A for years and have used both the cheaper, off-brand cartridges (like from Staples) as well as the more expensive HP brand. I always buy cheaper if I can get quality and reliablity, BUT in this case the HP brand has proven better, consistently. One specific difficulty I've had is the off-brands do not always fit precisesly. I recommend the genuine HP product, in this instance.

It's a great toner cartridge for the HP 1100 series printers. As far as I know, it's the only option for said printers. Mine has lasted through about 18 months of regular home use (several thousand pages) without running out. I recommend ordering one when your old cartridge starts to show signs of running out, so you don't have to run out and search for one when you have something urgent that you need to print. The only place I've seen that can beat this price on a new toner cartridge is Costco, and only by about three bucks.

This toner cartridge is easy to replace and provides a crisp dark consistent print every time. It also comes with a UPS shipping label for free return to be recycled. Great idea!
