I bought this monitor to use in a PLP setup along side my HP LP3065 monitor.I previously purchased the Dell 2007FP, which was completely terrible. the picture was yellowed like old parchment and looked like an antique next to my IPS 30inch from HP.This monitor, on the other hand, is able to keep up in just about every department. I cannot seem to get the picture to match exactly, but they are very close, and on brightness above 70, the whites are whiter than on my LP3065. on brightness below 70, the blacks are blacker. I have noticed very slight image burn-in when a window is left on the screen for a while. The stand is phenomenal. Better than the stand on the 30 inch variant, but this might just be due to the weight difference. the 30 inch variant comes with a cumbersome stand that I can never seem to get to hold the monitor perfectly straight. The stand on the LP2065 will hold the monitor at any angle and any height, perfectly still. However, it will only rotate one direction. In order to get the monitor to be in portrait mode, i had to take the stand off and screw it back in upside down. This isn't a problem, really, as the holes line up, but there is a gap because the mount is not symmetric.PROS:Beautiful picture... and I mean beautiful.Intuitive on-screen displayAmazing stand, for the most part.CONS:Silver color is ugly. I wish it were the same color as my LP3065.Only input is DVI. HDMI and DP are becoming mainstream and some people might need other inputs, especially for multiple-monitor setups.Monitor only rotates counter-clockwise into portrait mode, will not rotate clockwise. However if you mount the monitor to the stand up side down, it will be perfectly fine.Very slight image burn-in, meaning if you leave a window on the screen for a while, then close it, a ghost of the image will be left behind. will have to look more into this, as I have only noticed it while running linux, not windows.

Bottom line, this monitor is as good as you're going to find, anywhere near its price point. At the current Amazon price, it's almost criminal that you can get so much value for the buck.Right out of the box, the 2511x looked like a 4-star monitor. While large and impressive, the color saturation was excessive, and it didn't seem very bright. For a few minutes, I was a little bummed out. Then I started experimenting with the controls, and this piece of gear suddenly went deep into 5-star territory. Here's what I did:- turned down the red, from 256 to 210- turned down the green, from 256 to 196- turned down the blue, from 256 to 240.That straightened out the color imbalance. Out of the box, the saturation is too high and it's way too red/green. Just turn them down to levels such as the above, to get to the "cooler" neutral or slightly blue-ish tint that is familiar to most computer users.- then I set sharpness on 5 (maximum) from 4, and- turned the brightness to max,- and set the contrast up from the default 77-ish % to 92 %Once I did all that, which took about an hour of adjustments and experimentation, the display was just mind-blowing. I used an iMac for five years, which is a great machine with a great display, and this is better. The 25" size is a lot different than the typical 21.5-23". It doesn't sound like a big difference, but it's huge. 25" is a much, MUCH better size. It's not too big, and certainly not too small. 25" may be the perfect size for single-monitor office-work duty. The unit is light, thin, and easy to move around. The angle adjustment is adequate -- you'll be able to adjust it to the right viewing angle, although it doesn't do extreme angles up or down. One thing that external monitor newbies (such as I, a few hours ago) may need to know: If you're plugging in a laptop, you may need to go into control panel -> display -> change display settings -> display, and then tell it to use only the external monitor (monitor # 2). If your laptop has a max resolution of 1600x900, and you have it set (by default) to "display on both monitors", it'll only display on the HP at 1600x900, which won't look good. You need to get that resolution bumped up to 1920x1080, which won't be allowed until you set the display to Monitor 2 and thereby free it from the limitations of your laptop's display. Of course, if your laptop already displays 1920x1280, then you won't have this issue.I saw a few comments about not being able to find the power button or other controls. I don't get that. It's a little button on the underside of the monitor, on the far right, just where my index finger expected to find it. The adjustment controls were also self-explanatory; I never opened the online manual. I hit the menu button and got right to it - colors, contrast, etc. Piece of cake. The 2511x is an incredible value for the money - and would be a good value at twice the cost. I believe that this monitor will significantly increase my productivity and pay for itself many times over. Highly recommended. With the caveat that I'm using it with routine office software and writing-based tasks; whether its colors are "true" and the unit suitable for photographic and artistic usage is a whole different question which I know nothing about.

For over a year I have been using the fabulous ViewSonic VX2250WM-LED 22-Inch (21.5-Inch Vis) Widescreen Full HD 1080p LED Monitor with Integrated Stereo Speakers. I've loved it: the color was great, the size was wonderful, never ever a dead pixel, no frustration in regards to altering picture settings, and the price was affordable too. My review for the VX2250WM is even the spotlight review, and I stand by everything I say in regards to that product. But I like this HP model even better.Yes, essentially they are the same product. Both are 1080p, both are LED, both are visually stunning, and both have their pros and cons. I would not say that I like this HP SIGNIFICANTLY better, but there are two things I prefer about it:*HDMI. A big disappointment for me with the ViewSonic is that it wasn't HDMI compatible. I had to make do by buying the Premium High Resolution 10FT / 3m 24K GOLD HDMI TO DVI M/M CABLE FOR HDTV PLASMA DVD which was fine, and the picture was fabulous, but I can tell that the picture is better when I connect to this HP monitor via HDMI. Almost startlingly better. The whites, for example, on this Amazon.com page are almost blinding. I also watch a lot of movies on my comp, and they of course look very good.*Stand. Although I had no problems with the ViewSonic stand, the HP feels sturdier and less likely to tip over. Not a big deal, but since you never know when your desk may get a shimmy shake, I like knowing that this monitor feels more grounded.*Size. I will also note that, though you may not think it, an upgrade to 25 inch from 21.5 inch is a big deal. This monitor looks enormous compared to my old one, even though it's only a few inches larger. Definitely worth the extra cost, IMO.- WHAT I WOULD LIKE*Sound. I'm a little disappointed computer monitors aren't as equipped with sound these days. I connected my Blu Ray player to the monitor to see how it would look--it looked amazing--but there was no way to connect the sound to my monitor. I know that isn't a problem for most people at all, but since HDMI sends both picture and sound signals, it seems like it would be very easy to add at least a headphones output on there somewhere. My ViewSonic had speakers, but alas no HDMI, so you couldn't transfer sound and picture at the same time via HDMI, making Blu Ray Player connection useless.OVERALL: So far my experience has been perfect with this product. Thanks to HDMI, the picture quality is better than some of the competition, and setup was an absolute breeze. With some new monitors you have to tinker around with the settings to get the picture looking right, but this one was perfect right out of the box. It does not come with an HDMI cable, so be sure to order one if you plan to connect your computer to it that way. I recommend the HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet). Cables for the other connection types are included. As I do with all the electronics I review, if something bad should happen (a malfunction, crash, or dead pixels showing up) I will update my review immediately to explain the problem. Thus far, everything has been running smoothly and I have no major complaints.

I bought this monitor to replace my 3 year old 23" Acer screen, which broke recently. Acer has become a really cheap, low-quality brand and I struggled to find a monitor that would offer the brightness and contrast I need for gaming and movies. My quest came to an end unexpectedly when I went to Microcenter to do some scouting to see what screens caught my eye. The second I saw the HP 2511x time slowed and I knew I was in love. This screen seemed twice as bright and contrasty as any other monitor on the show floor. I knew I had to have it. I went home immediately and ordered the display from amazon, despite seeing slightly lower prices elsewhere. This decision proved to be very wise because when I finally received the monitor, my excitement at seeing the glorious image quickly turned to disappointment when I noticed a bright red stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen. This defect was so noticeable it ruined whatever I was viewing on the screen. Amazon's return policy turned out to be the most simple, hassle-free experience. UPS picked up the defective item the next day free of charge and by that time the replacement was already on its way via expedited shipping. Two days later the monitor was here again, and this time it is flawless. Amazon once again proved why it is THE PLACE to order electronics and more, with its excellent customer service. The screen itself is glossy without giving off too much glare (the glossy screens are truly brighter in my experience). The contrast is phenomenal with blinding whites and deepest possible blacks. I found that turning dynamic contrast on only dims the image slightly, so I keep it off and see no loss of black color quality. My brightness level is at 100, contrast is at 85, and I am using the "text" preset because it looks very bright and vivid while still being natural and not over-saturated. So far I have tested Max Payne 3, and found that the size and quality of the image really takes that game to a new level. Pixar's Up also looked mind-blowing in 1080p. This display really is almost on par with Apple's Icinema, and for the $240 I cannot imagine stumbling upon a better purchase. If you need a monitor for any high definition multimedia needs, look no further!. (the 23" model comes with a matte screen and is considerably less vibrant)

Just received my new HP 2511x monitor today. So far I love the monitor. Shipping from Amazon, great as usual. Received package in 2 days, no problems at all. One suggestion to Amazon: The monitor came packed in it's HP box just fine, but that box was put into a bigger box with no padding so the monitor box was flopping around inside the bigger box. You should pack that better next time so it doesn't move around. So the monitor:Pros:1) Beautiful monitor. It looks like a high quality, well-made monitor.2) Easy setup. With Win7 it's basically a no brainer, just plug it in, connect to computer (I'm using HMDI cable), and install the driver. About 5 minutes, done.3) Picture looks awesome. Better then my great Asus HD monitor. No dead pixels. The screen is high gloss which helps makes the picture fantasic, but be aware, if your monitor is going to face the window, you'll probably get too much glare. In my situation it's fine since the monitor faces inward (away from the windows).4) The buttons located on the bottom-right of the screen (on the bottom edge) are OK. Better then the dumb "touch" type buttons on my Asus. The setup menus are fine. Nothing special, nothing annoying about them.5) Input Ports - Has all three that anyone will need: VGA, DVI, and HDMI. Some monitors like my Asus only have two (either VGA and HMDA, or VGA and DVI).Cons:1) You may run into a scaling issue where the desktop won't fill up the entire monitor. The monitor should have info printed that mentions this and how to resolve it. Basically just find your video cards software and find "Scaling Options". Then adjust the "Overscan" (used 0% in my case) to fill the screen.2) The monitor stand. Although it's very easy to assemble, and sturdy enough, it's not adjustable! :) I knew this and fine with putting the monitor on a box (the same box I had to use for my last HD monitor) but for this somewhat upper-end monitor, the stand should be adjustable. So this one thing is why I can't give 5 stars (I want to give 5 stars badly but can't). 5 stars means perfect, and with no adjustable stand it's not quite perfect. That's it. I've seen reviews where the monitor died after a few months, etc. and since this is only my first day, if something changes, I'll update my review. :) But so far, thumbs up, this monitor rocks.

I bought this monitor one month ago to replace my old Samsung 1931ew+ which has a 2ms response. First of all the 5ms response time in this HP monitor doesn't make any noticeably lag or anything comparing the 2ms on my other monitor either in games or movies or text rolling so that's a positive for those of you who care about response time. The glossy screen gives you a crisp picture quality specially when viewing photos and etc.The worst thing about this monitor though is its viewing angel which cause me giving it 3 stars instead of 5. I tend to sit close to my monitor (something like 50cm) and there is noticeably brightness and color gradient in the top vs. bottom part of the monitor. I don't know if my unit has problem or it's a common thing about this model but comparing it with my older Samsung 1931BW+ which is 4-5 years older technology this monitor is literally terrible. The usable part of the screen is its lower half and while viewing a webpage on lower parts of the screen you want to look up and type something in the URL box you realize you are looking at something much darker and dimmer. I really didn't expect to see such a thing for a monitor with this rate.Of course when you increase the Contrast the problem become less sever but then again putting it on high contrast or brightness will just lead to eye strain as in resembles sitting in front of a lamp instead of a monitor.I am sort of disappointed in this monitor and If I wanna buy again I will definitely go for Samsung as at least they know what they are doing.

This screen has the perfect amount of glass. I'm a computer technician and have seen many many monitor and I've noticed HP does monitors with the glossy finish very well. It's has a perfect balance of gloss, and the colors just pop. The screen can get very bright, in fact I keep it at about 60%. As far as adjusting the picture settings that's going to be personal preference for each person. I tried adjusting my settings to some of the stuff other comments on here stated but didn't like them. It was very easy to find the settings I liked though. My only minor complaint with this monitor is that it does not have a 3.5mm audio out. So if your using the hdmi port to hook the monitor to your computer, your going to have to plug the speakers into the back of the computer as well instead of plugging them right into the monitor. That's not a huge deal however and is and easy work around. I do a lot of gaming such as world of warcraft and I think the colors are fabulous on this monitor as wow is a very colorful game. The way I have mine set up, the monitor is about 5ft away from me in front of my couch and I can still see everything clearly. However my vision is also 20/20 so that may very for other people. I did adjust the DPI settings in windows to 125% to make things a little bigger, otherwise things like your taskbar will be kind of small.

A couple of weeks ago I bought the 23" version of this monitor. I like everything about it except the weak stand. But still I felt I really wanted to go bigger so I returned the 2311x and purchased the 2511x. The stand on the 2511 is slightly better but still kind of weak. The stand on the 2311 snaps into the base and the 2511 bolts in. Both of them are wobbly. When you push the power or settings buttons underneath, the monitor shakes like crazy. I don't get why they didn't make it more sturdy. My 6 year old Samsung 4:3 19" that this replaced is built like a tank. You can't make it wobble. I ran a pixel test and I thought I had a dead red pixel. On a couple of subsequent test the dead pixel lit up. Yay, no dead pixels! There weren't any on the 23" either. My second and biggest gripe is the glossy screen. The 2311 has a matte screen. My Samsung has a matte screen also. I knew the 2511 had a glossy screen before I bought it but I didn't think it would be an issue since I have a laptop with a glossy screen. Well the 2511 must be extra glossy because I can see me on the screen almost like a mirror. There is a window facing the East behind where my desk is and in the mornings the sun shines directly into it. The big yellow ball glowing on my screen is not cool. Even when I close the blinds I see the reflections from between the slats. It's not practical to move my desk since I have one of those corner desk and it's in the only place in the room where it will fit. The glossy screen does have some positives. The colors are brighter. They really pop out at you. The text seems to be sharper and movies look nice. I don't really use it for movies, I have a 58" plasma, I just played a movie on the monitor for a test and it was smoother than the matte screen of the 2311. I really love everything about the monitor except the weak stand and the reflections. I have about 10 days to decide it the reflection issue is going to be a deal breaker or not but I'll probably end up keeping it and adapt some way or the other. BTW, I have a question. HP describes the screen as Brightview. I googled Brightview and only came up with ads about HP monitors. No description of how Brightview is different. Does anyone know?***September 10, Update: After about 3 weeks of ownership while I was working on my computer the monitor shut off as if it were unplugged. I didn't know what the problem was at first but I found out it was the power adapter. I found out by plugging in a power adapter from a Compaq laptop that is the same voltage. I called HP and it took about 30 minutes before I could convince the foreign customer service rep that I knew what I was talking about as far as what the problem was. He eventually transferred me to someone else who understood what I was saying right away. The second person had HP ship me a new power adapter overnight. I received it the next day. I would not lower my rating for that problem because I still think it's a great monitor. But I am writing this update in case someone else has the same problem and may think it's something other than the power adapter. Often what happens when you send in your new device with a problem they will send you a refurbished replacement.

I have been using an HP W2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor for a long time now. However, I recently gave it away and decided to upgrade to an LED monitor. Based on reviews on Amazon, I bought the Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED 24-Inch Ultra-thin Widescreen LED Monitor - Black. It was a mistake. It stopped working after a week. I came back to Amazon and found this brilliant monitor. It has been a pleasure to work with it, thus far. I primarily use it for reading PDFs, composing manuscripts and viewing occasional youtube videos. Text is super crisp and the viewing area is amazingly generous. It feels like my window into the world has suddenly expanded and doubled in size.Compared with the Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED 24-Inch Ultra-thin Widescreen LED Monitor - Black - whose viewing area is not really 24", the viewing area in this monitor (HP 2511x 25-Inch LED Monitor - Black is actually 25". Borders, logos etc are understated and kept to a minimum. The buttons are placed at the bottom edge and are well-designed. The monitor is light - as are other LED monitors, but it appears very sturdy and solid. I move the monitor around frequently and I am constantly amazed at how light it actually is, given its size. Its internal menus are exactly like the ones on the HP W2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor. However, I didn't really need to change anything. The default monitor settings have given me flawless performance, without any need for fiddling with them. If I needed another monitor, I would buy this again without any hesitation. Thank you, HP for making such reliable monitors. And thank you, Amazon for carrying them in your fabulous store!

This HP LaserJet Print Cartridge 92A that I bought at Amazon shows a box of the HP Print Cartridge 92A in the manufacturer's box indicating you will receive that product. The box shows that it is an official HP product. What you do receive is a much smaller brown cardboard box with no markings on the box. I'm pretty sure in is a REMANUFACTURED PRINT CARTRIDGE, which is NOT what I ordered and paid for . IT IS NOT NEW! I hate that Amazon has let this seller sell through Amazon, whom I love and trust! I have reported this to Amazon. I am thoroughly disgusted with the vendor, BLIZZARD, LLC, for the DELIBERATE DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. I'm also disgusted and disappointed that Amazon did not catch this before since they have had others vendors who have done the same thing with the same product. I only ordered this because I thought surely Amazon had this fixed by now. I think that a seller who does this should be immediately dropped as an Amazon seller or at least suspended until Amazon verifies it for sure--and then dropped! I think Amazon should do random checks on their new sellers by buying an item and then checking it against their internet ad. I do not think they should be given a second chance! The message should be, "Cheat Amazon's customers, and you are out of here!"

Four things that are hard to find together in one notebook. But this HP Probook 4530s manages to deliver on all fronts.Firstly let me say this product was purchased for me from this seller and is in my possession. So, no "verified" purchase but rest assured this is my first hand impression of this product. And be that as it may, it is most likely in the top three sub $500 notebooks on the market. It has the latest processor technology, the recommended amount of RAM, Bluetooth, easily upgradable 320gb HD, and some nifty "on chip" graphics that allows me to play Left4Dead2 on max settings at native resolution. No AA, and of course this is not a gaming laptop by any means. But it will play some games nonetheless, and some older ones very well.It looks great. The brushed aluminum finish is very handsome, and it certainly looks all business, all classy, or simply all quality. The aluminum finish can be polished to a nice luster, and the unit is solid as a slate of granite. No flexing, creaking, or otherwise in its rigid chassis. Everything looks and feels quality. The case could easily be one for a laptop costing hundreds more. One thing is for sure, this is a very nicely finished notebook. It is perfectly suited for a place in the home, office, school, or even a boardroom. You can take it out of a carrying case, put it on a desk, and be confident it doesn't look like a cheap, plastic keyboard with a screen attached. Understated good looks come to mind. If you saw a CEO using one of these you wouldn't even think twice. Well, if it were casual Friday, maybe. And if you're a gray suit kind of person this notebook would complete the look perfectly.Screen quality is average at best. Typical TN display with dithering and inaccurate colors. It's not quite bright enough, contrast ratio somewhat lacking. It's fine for watching movies and video if not too picky, but imo the display benefits in that area from a bit of adjustment. Screen a bit darker, contrast a bit higher, and night scenes are helped substantially. So it is acceptable and sharp for standard use both work related and multimedia. But if that work includes anything that requires spot on color reproduction without compromise, look elsewhere imo.For the rest of us this is one of the best bargains on the notebook market. Solidly built, attractively finished case, latest intel processor technology, loads of HP security features to keep busybodies out, oh and before I forget, HP Quickweb! This is a Linux based application which allows "one touch" access to the internet without booting into Windows. Press a single button on the keyboard and 10 to 15 seconds later you are on the internet! Its that simple. And you can boot to Windows from Quickweb anytime. It's a very nice and convenient feature imo.If you want a fast, sturdy, attractive, no nonsense, nicely equipped notebook this one is definitely for you. And who wouldn't want that?

An amazingly BRIGHT monitor. Glossy like patent leather, reflecting room lights and daylight. Once you figure out how to turn it on (hidden button on extreme right of base), you may go a bit mad "tweaking" the OSD buttons that control color, brightness and contrast (rigid buttons that are difficult to reach and work with while monitoring the changes). Over time, the settings "drift" and you have to re-tweak.The monitor is stunning. The resolution is good, but there are "jaggys" in the text, even at the highest level of sharpness. For photo and video work, not so good. There are too many "hot" highlights, and adjusting one level messes up the others. It really is an old style monitor that has been discontinued by New Egg and others.Despite the good reviews going back a few years, I would suggest that there are better monitors/TV's that provide as good, and hopefully better, resolution and sharpness. Despite the HDMI 1080P designation, this monitor from my perspective, leaves much to be desired. (My iMac crashed, and I now use a Mac Mini. Sadly, there are no updated drivers (come on, HP, there ARE folks out there on OSX and not just PC's) on the HP website. Not a bad choice. Perhaps not the best choice. New IPS panels are working their way down in price. You may want to wait.

I've had this monitor for 4 months (added to an existing multi-monitor setup). I was specifically trying to avoid monitors with matte screens, but it seemed that at the time I was shopping, most of the higher-quality monitors in my price range were all matte. Fortunately, I came across several favorable reviews of the HP 2511x 25-inch.The screen is gorgeous. The stand allows an adequate amount of adjustment for my purposes (if you need to be able to adjust the angles by very wide margins, though, look elsewhere). The price wasn't too bad compared to other monitors of this size. I haven't had any problems with flickering or dead pixels or buzzing or shadows/ghosting.I have not attempted to do any sophisticated tests of color accuracy since I am not using the monitor for any work that requires extreme accuracy. The colors seem reasonable for my purposes.I would buy it again, but would watch prices for a couple of weeks before making the selection. Prices do fluctuate. Amazon dropped the price 5+% a few days after I made my purchase.

1-5-2013, Rev C.Update: I downloaded from HP's site, the driver for my computer (WinXP) and the flicker seems less. I also later set the refresh to 75 Hz. The monitor is not reporting anything but 1920x1080 (what I'm set to), and 60 Hz.I called HP. They cant find it by the Sn, or the electronic serial number, which are different?----------------------------------------------Nice and big, has a very slight flicker...I got this monitor because my new (now old, Dell ST2320L) monitor had a fuzzy anti-reflection coating that made text fuzzy and and hard to read. This new monitor is much clearer. Near perfect (I had to turn the brightness to 40, Contrast to 85).I got this one from Newegg (N82E16824228033) as a refurbished, famous brands, tSS-25X11LED. I payed ~$170. Its now 160, gerr. I called Ne, and they gave me a $20 credit back. We'll see...Any way, my only problem is there is a very slight flicker, and it only supports 60Hz. Otherwise its grate.I often find a monitor will only fit in a desk by the outside dimensions, and its never listed, so here they are (inches):~23-3/4 wide~14-3/4 tall (monitor only)~17-3/4 tall with the stand~4-1/2 thick, with cabled plugged in (they protrude out the back)Viewable area diagonal is 25.0Hopefully HP will give me support (flicker problem)...Good luck...

Of course, this is an HP product, so I expect perfection and the HP 2511x 25-Inch LED Monitor - Black delivered! Clear, crisp, vibrant display; sleek appearance; easy to access and use controls; superbly packaged (for shipping and ease of un-packing); easy-easy-easy pictorial assembly instructions. I don't often require the "tilt and glide" feature, but when I do, I am so glad it's there.Included in the box are connective cables for VGA and DVI-D. NOT included is a connective cable for HDMI, so do purchase the HDMI cable separately.I am a casual home-network user, not a pro, so do not know enough to meaningfully comment on exact color trueness, but this monitor's color and contrast certainly surpass my expectations! And, no glare - none at all. When the monitor is not in use (is off), there is a glare from the blank unpowered screen, so it is a happy surprise that when powered-up and in use there is no glare whatsoever. This monitor's response time is lightning quick. As a casual user, I hadn't understood the role a monitor has in speed of display (I thought everything depended upon Internet connectivity speed); but, this puppy absolutely !POPS!As a non-pro, I always get a little nervous about setting up and connecting new devices. If you feel as I do, you can RELAX here. I was home alone (no techies around!) when the monitor was delivered and was so anxious to use it that I decided to go ahead and try setting it up myself. Bada bing, bada boom! Nothing to it! I had it out of the box, assembled, installed, and up and running inside of 15 minutes. It says "plug-and-play" and it means it. Techno-phobes have nothing to worry about.I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this product.

I moved up to this 25" LED monitor from a 22" monitor and at first I thought it would be too big. After about 15 minutes of using it my eyes got used to the overall size. I doubt I would ever want anything bigger than this for my home computer unless I got into serious gaming and could sit further away from the screen. At this size, sitting up close is rather difficult if you want to see the entire screen so I found myself pushed back a bit from my desk and my keyboard tray pulled out a little further. This monitor setup very easily without the need for the included CD that came with it. My computer, running Windows 7, easily installed the necessary drivers or whatever needed to get done and automatically congigured my graphics so the resolution was correct.I did find the default display seetings a bit too bright so I went into the configuration menu to do some tweaking. The monitor was set to "Text" in the pre-configured settings and I shuffled through some of the others like "Movie", "picture" and "games". I preferred the "picture" settings as it brought out more of the color. However, I still found the brightness to be too high. There is a "custom" setting but I went to a different screen adjustment where you can set the brightness or contrast manually. I turned the brightness down from the 100% to 75% and I found it much easieer on my eyes.I played around with various HD content such as streaming things from Youtube, Netflix and various HD movies I have on my PC. The picture is beautiful and rivals any HD TV I have in my house. I typically use my desktop as a way for one of my kids to watch a show if the other boy is watching something on TV (my 4 year old likes super heroes and my 1 year old like Blue's Clues). I have all of their movies backed up on various hard drives which I can stream to any computer or TV in my house and this 25" monitor makes everyhting look great.I even tried using Skype to call my parents so my kids could talk to "Nana" and "Papa". While the 22" monitor made everything look great, moving up 3" makes it seem like they are in the room when using the high quality video (we both had HD webcams and cable internet).I'm glad I decided to switch to a larger monitor. As I stated before, however, I doubt I would ever go bigger than this for everyday use of a computer. When I first opened it, I almost decided to use it as a TV (maybe put it in my oldest room at some future date), however I would need to buy some type of way to produce sound since this monitor does not have speakers. If you do have a home theater system or even a sound bar system, this monitor would look great in a small room if you wanted to use it for TV.Very happy with this HP monitor!

I actually ordered this a year ago and have been using it at my desk since then, and it's been ok.The brightness is a little jarring, and the menu is very touchy and not at all intuitive... HOWEVER, what's finally prompted me to leave feedback is that I'm changing desks, and need to adjust the height on the monitor. I assumed that since this monitor SAID it was height adjustable on the description when I bought it, that it actually was, but NO. As it turns out, this monitor is NOT height adjustable, in spite of HP's descriptive information on this product saying that it is.Their actual website acknowledges it's not height adjustable, but that's not helpful for someone trusting the descriptive info provided by HP to Amazon.com. I only wish I'd discovered this before now since I'm way past the return window. I never needed to adjust the height until today, and now, I'm just going to have to order a new monitor that adjusts.

Let me start by saying I don't relish writing a bad review (I have rarely had to do so, and it pains me when I have to) but I have had nothing but problems with this notebook and HP's strange configuration. Finally got to a place where I felt comfortable using it and updates from HP arrived via it's useless HP Assistant which disabled my wireless adapter. After contacting their technical support (they try to charge you for almost everything except dialing the phone)I determined that I may need to use the restore disk to try to correct the problem. Once I looked closely at the restore disks I discovered they are for Vista (which I hate and have avoided like the plague) despite the fact that Windows 7 was loaded on to the computer (this was provided by WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTORS through Amazon so beware of them as well). And guess what, the 90 day warranty had expired and I had to pay for the disks that were never sent to me. The only saving grace was that the young man in India was quite nice and patient.I have owned several notebooks (Toshiba, Compaq, Sony, Dell, and now HP) and of the lot HP has been the worst! If you are considering buying RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE:I decided to come back and provide an update. The initial tech who was so helpful got back in touch with me after sending the disks I needed, and worked and worked to correct the problem until he got me back up and running. I can't say that everyone at HP offers this type service but this was my experience and was the reason I increased from one star to four stars. I am also more comfortable with the configuration (after accepting that there are some things in it that I have to give up control over) so the notebook is finally beginning to live up to it's promise and meeting my needs.Again, now a lot more pleased with the response I received from HP and feel a lot better about the laptop and the company. WHO KNEW!!!!!

I can't speak for the long-term viability of the monitor, as I've had it all of three days, but... wow. It's better than I hoped for.Previously I had a 23-inch LG Flatron, which looked pretty darned good to my eyes, but after three and a half years I decided a bigger monitor would be nice, providing I could find a decent one at a good price. So I began researching the various options and brands. This one and its siblings (the 2311x and 2711x) get decent reviews from professional reviewers - the main gripe is the grayscale performance. At the higher and lower ends they don't perform as well as others - but those others also cost a fair bit more. So after much hemming and hawing, and reading the user reviews both here on Amazon and over at Newegg, I decided to take the plunge.Setting it up was a painless affair - took all of 10 minutes, and half of that was just getting it out of the box. My computer (an HP) recognized it right away. The default/standard settings are a tad bright for my taste; the "warm" setting seems nicer. (One can tinker with the colors, if one is so inclined.) I've watched a movie (Smilla's Sense of Snow), an episode of Revolution and an online Alicia Keys concert in the past few days. Everything looked as it should - better than the Flatron. I recommend it.

I must say I was a little hesitant at first when purchasing this HP 25" monitor for 216! Well, as soon as it arrived, I put the stand together and attached it to the monitor and I must say this looks great on my desk and I have no regrets! I was worried about the glossy screen and being able to read all day since this is primarily used for work; however, my worries went away when I turned it on and the glossy screen just made everything brighter and crisper. Viewing office documents, pictures, videos, and web surfing looks wonderful. I am in front of the monitor the entire day and have no issues with eyestrain (my brightness level is set to 65 because the default setting of 90 was too bright for me). With the exception of the brightness level, I did not have to make any adjustments to the color settings because everything looked great! In reference to size, I believe 25 inches is the sweet spot when it comes to monitors, and when you look around in your local stores, there are not a lot of options (if any). I originally bought a 27 inch monitor from a local retail chain, but it was too big and the matte finish really washed out the colors and my eyes were aching after using it for 3 days, so I returned it. I am so glad I did!Obviously, this monitor does not have speakers and I knew that, so I will not deduct a star, but it would have been nice to have some type of speaker.Well, if you are on the fence with what to purchase, this may suffice your needs. I highly recommend it! Feel free to ask any questions.

I paid the extra few dollars for the "Like New" monitor. When it arrived it did look like new, aside from a little dust. There were no scrapes or external problems. It didn't come with a power cord. It did come with a standard VGA monitor cable. When I hooked it up and made the screen white (opened and maximized a word document) I noticed a blurry light blue-ish spot about the size of a dime almost in the center of the screen that has not gone away after using it for a week. I'm hoping it will go away. Aside from the spot the color is great. It was packed very well when it was shipped, but the box looked a bit beat up when it arrived. I suppose it could have happened during shipping. I'm not going to the trouble of trying to return it. Oh yeah, one more thing. I already owned a HP L1940T, which is printed on the lowed right front of the monitor. This one that I ordered (with the spot) is now sitting next to it, as a second monitor. Although I thought purchased a second "Like New" HP L1940T, it's not written on my new monitor. The monitor says only "HP 1940".

I was using this as an external monitor for my MacBook Pro. The hookup was easy, and it would work fine for about 72 hours and than the DVI and HDMI ports would not function. There was no way when connected to the DVI or HDMI ports that the monitor would wake up. If I switched to a VGA connection it worked again. I called HP customer support and confirmed that all my settings were fine and there was no explanation other than they sent me a replacement re-conditioned monitor only to have it work exactly as the first display did. Called HP again and they were going to send me another monitor. I refused that option and returned the monitor to Apple. I bought the Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" LED LCD Monitor an it is working perfectly.

I have 2 printers that use this ink, and I use my printers a great deal for my work. I have never ordered any ink cartridges before from Amazon, this is the first time. The package arrived quickly, and intact, with no damages. The ink is good quality ink, and thus far, it is well worth the price. In comparison to local stores I've been too, I found Amazon to be the least expensive, not to mention, not every store always has this twin pack sitting on the shelves. Many times, over the years, I made a frustrating trip back home without my twin pack. In addition, after purchasing my ink from a few top brand named stores and paying top dollar, my ink dried out too quickly. Finally, I found the right place to order my ink cartridges, with less stress, and good quality ink that will last longer. No complaints, and totally content! For the icing on the cake, no more running to the stores and waiting on the lines on my work lunch break. One less thing to worry about. This is where I will be ordering my ink from now on. The only regret I have is not ordering from Amazon years ago. Another lesson learned!

Pros:Great Design, beautiful lookCristal Clear Text and ImageGreat Color richnessGreat color accuracyno eye straintilt adjustingmatte finish(I prefer matte to glossy)Energy Star qualified (25W maximum)100mm x 100mm screw-mountCons:No height adjustment.no HDMIsub per speakerNot very good vertical viewing angleHP Ads is too stickyResolution:For this size monitor, I think 1600*900 is the ideal size otherwise the text size (1920*1080) will appear too small.Comparing to 2009m:2009m is the 2009 model. it is not energy star efficient qualified. it is glossy finish. It does not have 100X100 mount. For 20$ more, I would go for 2010i.Comparing to 2210m:The 21.5' 2210m is 1920*1080 full HD with HDMI input and is gloss screen. First of all, 2210m is a great monitor if you like gloss screen and are used to relatively small character size. However, if I have extra cash and if I like glossy screen, I would go for a larger screen such as 2310m or 2509m since the character size is simply too small for me on 2210m than that on 2010i.Comparing to ViewSonic's VX2250WM-LED 22-InchI was also able to compare it to ViewSonic VX2250WM-LED. First of all, I don't think led tech will add better display experience to a monitor but make it a lower power consumption and a lighter body. Considering the color richness and color accuracy, I would like to vote for 2010i because the color on VX2250WM-LED appears to me wash-out and a little weak. The built quality of 2010i is also better. But if you want a lighter display with a higher resolution at a reasonable price, you may want to go with VX2250WM-LED.Comparing to Samsung 2333SWI also own Samsung 2333SW. Even if it is full HD, the color is so weak comparing to HP 2010i. The most important thing is that I always feel eye strain on the Samsung 2333SW. I just feel so comfortable working on the HP monitor.update (11/02/2010): Comparing to HP S2031I made a dual setup using HP 2010i and HP S2031. I got the HP S2031 from HP for a huge discount. The HP 2010i has an overall better build quality than that of HP S2031. The display experience on two monitors are quite similar except that the text character on HP S2031 has a barely noticeable greenish cast. For under $100, I would go for HP S2031.Character size:The character size appears larger on this monitor than that on Samsung 2333Sw 23"(1920*1080) monitor and that on 2210m. You may like this if your eyesight is not as good as before. For 21.5" and 23" monitor, I have to adjust the text size to medium (125%) to feel all right. But on this, default 100% text size appears just perfect for me.If you are looking for a budget monitor best used for online browsing, text editing, movie playing, and photo editing, this would be a great buy. Large screen or higher resolution is not always a better choice and it really depends on your needs. If I really want to get a full 1080P experience, I would watch the movie on my Samsung 46" HDTV. After comparing different brands and models, when I sit in front of my desk working on something, this is the most comfortable screen that I ever had. I just feel the crystal clarity at every second...Buyer attention: removing sticker from top bezel of 2010i can be a pain since the glue residue is very strong as the other reviewers pointed out. I also observed that other HP 20** series monitors received many negative reviews only because of this. HP should take serious consideration on this. Here is a tip : "Removal of advertising sticker from top bezel of HP monitors at HP Support Forum": Check out comments section below.About HP consumer monitor 2*** model:Have been doing research on hp monitor for a while. I went to Costco to check also. Personally, I prefer the 'i' version to the 'm' version since I don't like the glossy finish. Even with the anti-glare coating, I still see things or myself clear on the screen. I feel eye strain too (the most important thing). I wish they had a bigger screen model. Unfortunately, they don't have the corresponding 2310i, 2510i, 2710i in US(only available in UK). They do have the 2310m, 2509m,2710m in US, but they are glossy finish. the only downside with the i version is there is no hdmi input.Example2509m25 means 25"09 means 2009 modelm indicates glossy finish
