I bought this monitor for two reasons: 1) at my last job I used an HP flat-panel monitor (though not this model) and it seemed quite reliable and 2) I wanted a monitor with a 4:3 aspect ratio because the graphics card in my old Dell Dimension 4600 favors this aspect ratio in the resolutions it delivers. And anyway, I like the kind of screen real estate a 4:3 aspect ratio delivers.The monitor did arrive with a few dead pixels, but luckily they're at the edge of the screen and rarely noticeable.All in all the monitor delivers a great picture, and I'm under the impression it uses in-plane switching (IPS), whose primary virtue is delivering a picture that can be viewed clearly from extreme angles and not only straight on. In any case it does seem to behave this way, which is a plus.I don't know if anyone is still selling these refurbished HP LP2065 monitors, but I'm not sorry I bought mine. The only thing I sometimes wish it had is a built-in webcam, but I knew going in that I wasn't getting one.Bottom line: a good monitor at a great price (for me, a little over $100).

I researched a few "lower-end"(read: lower priced) monitors, before finding this beauty. Granted this HP isn't the cheapest, but I found you do get what you pay for. My first actual purchase in this quest to find the perfect mix of price and function was an Acer 23" LED (don't recall model) from BB which was "on sale" for $168.00. What can I say? It was a large, stylish led monitor. But that's about it. The picture, which suffered horribly from a matte finish looked just washed out and dull. And text was fuzzy and hard to read. After some searching, I found this awesome HP 25" LED Glossy screen. Sure it shows reflections, but let's be honest so do the matte finishes and at least the glossy screens don't look like you forgot to peel off a protective plastic layer. Colors really pop and the size is just right. I went from using dual 19" non-wide screen monitors to this and its much nicer real-estate. The only negative and I think it's just the way it is with led back lighting, is at off angles the whites can get a little discolored. Nothing drastic, definitely not a deal breaker. Again, I highly recommend this monitor, especially if you are looking for a sub $250 solution.

I like a lot of things about this monitor, and I think the slightly higher price was worth it. Display calibration is FAR better out of the box than most of the other recent monitors I have purchased (mostly Asus), which were horrible until heavily adjusted. There are no bad pixels. Well built and attractive. 25" is a nice size, large enough, without being so large that viewing angle becomes an issue. (From about 36 inches away, which I think is a good distance for this monitor, I don't see any noticeable viewing angle artifacts. I DO start noticing it from 18-20" away, however.)But I have to say that I am not a fan of HP "Brightview" displays, neither on this monitor nor on the several HP laptops I've seen with the same display surface. While it does make the colors "pop" in a way that you don't see with other monitors, it's just too reflective. I have my monitor positioned so that there is no window or light behind me, and my reflection in the monitor is still distracting on a dark display (e.g. movie) just from overhead room lighting. If I had a window behind me, I think the monitor would be unusable. For my vote, HP needs to drop "Brightview" and go back to anti-glare matte surfaces.I'd give this five stars if it weren't for the highly reflective display surface, but I drop it a notch for that.

I went for a balance of price and quality in purchasing this monitor. For the price I am very happy. I am in science so spend a lot of time writing and putting images together for my research, and this works great for my purposes.

After reading the mixed reviews here and elsewhere on this laptop, I was initially reluctant but decided to try it anyway. I am so glad I did. I bought this to replace a company supplied laptop that just wasn't functioning like I needed it to. Needless to say, I am online all day for work and also use it for personal computing. I couldn't be more pleased with this laptop. It is fast, user friendly, quick setup and so far, it works like a charm. I am not a gamer so I can't speak to that but I did upload photos, easy and crisp picture. Personally, I like the number pad on the side and the "touch" of the keyboard. The track pad is a little off to the left which will take some getting accustomed to but I read that that is for ergonomic reasons so I'm not too concerned. As far as looks, this computer is sharp. For those not concerned with every technical spec but are just looking for a high functioning, multi-tasking computer, I would highly recommend this one.

This is an excellent LED/LCD Monitor from HP. The camera works great and the built in speakers are definitely adequate for web surfing. Serious audiophiles will want external speakers for added fidelity. The picture is crisp and brilliant. The monitor sleeps when the computer sleeps or hibernates. The Monitor not only tilts, but it also adjusts up and down which is great if your space had vertical restrictions. Great seller and extremely fast shipping via UPS.

The HP2511x is a fantastic monitor. The fact that you can buy this 25-inch display for less than US$240 is even better. The colors and contrast are spectacular and backlight bleed is almost nonexistent. This is my second 2511x and both are superb. If I had to complain about something it would be that the stand could be more adjustable (landscape to portrait would be nice) and/or HP could have included VESA mount points, but these are both very minor issues that really don't affect my day to day. Regardless of what panel you end up buying, be sure to calibrate it as most factory settings are way off the mark.

Beware I ordered this and received something totally different in the mail. I received a 3rd party generic cartridge in a generic black/green box instead of what was shown as advertised. I will not take a chance ordering again. Buyer beware these 3rd party cartridges often have printing issues and do not last as long as official HP ones.

These are the original replacement cartridges, so I won't be telling you anything you don't already know, if you own an HP printer that takes these. Reasonable yield, crisp printing. I always had trouble with refillables, so went back to the original.

I have bought cheap and refilled cartridges before and if they work at all they dont last long. I would recommend to only use the HP brand. Amazon is great as these things can be very overpriced and I bought mine through Amazon for a fraction of the cost as I could get it from even a big box store.

I purchased two of these for a dual-monitor setup. I couldn't be happier with them.Pros:-Displays beautiful, vibrant colors-Clean, sleek look-Stable base-Not overly reflective-Easy to assemble-Factory defaults seem consistent between monitors. I didn't have to tweak the defaults at all and both monitors seem to be providing exactly the same colors and brightness.-Adequate viewing angles. The color definitely fades out if you view from the side. However, this wouldn't be noticed from any typical viewing angle.-Not that it matters, but they're surprisingly light for their size-Good packaging. I was worried about having them delivered, but both monitors arrived in perfect condition.-No speakers. Much better to have no speakers than bad speakers in my opinion.Cons:The provided cables are only 6 feet. This should be adequate for most situations but depending on your desk layout, 6 feet can be a little short.Important issue to note:Since my computer only has one of each type of video connection (HDMI, DVI, and AVI), I originally set one of the monitors up with the provided DVI cable and the second monitor with my own HDMI cable. The HDMI monitor looked horrible, with washed out colors. I switched the cables between monitors and got the same problem, reversed. I finally switched out the HDMI cable for the provided VGA cable and that solved the problem. I'm assuming the issue was with my graphics card and not with the monitors. Keep that in mind if you run into a similar issue.

I love this monitor. 1080p is great for my games. Its vary lightweight and easy to wipe off all the dust. Would buy again!P.S Make sure when you get this monitor going, adjust the contrast and brightness to fit your needs

First found it in local office supply store and was very impressed. Checked Amazon and found eighty dollar savings. Sorry brick and mortal. It does take a bit of tweaking to get the best color. Using it with newer mac mini and hdmi. After setup with mac calibration I think it looks as good or better than my partners new iMac.

So I bought the laptop after reading all these stellar reviews, and almost as soon as I turned it on, I've decidedly realized that I absolutely hate this piece of crap.- VERY SLOW!! Even as I write this, my new 4430s is constantly freezing up.- Keypad: It feels abrasive to the touch, and the bumps on F and J are are way too prominent. The keys are tiny so it's awkward when you're trying to type quickly. The up and down arrows are TINY and tight packed, which means you're going to be constantly pressing on the wrong key. And the end button is above the pg up button. Um... which genius thought that this was a good idea?- Volume control: you have to hold down fn and hit another key on the top to lower/raise volume. And these keys are not very sensitive, so you really have to press down the entire time. And it takes forever to lower / raise the volume!- Touchpad: It doesn't have the scrolling function. The cursor spazzes ALL THE TIME. The clickers are borderline unresponsive.

After searching the Internet, I came across this vender. It had the best price, but I wasn't sure about its product. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The cartridge arrived very quickly and it performrd like a new cartridge. I am very happy with this purchase.

Amazon.com was helpful by allowing us to input our exact HP printer model, then see if a chosen product will definitely work with our printer. This double set was fine: easy to install, although it had a different number than what I've usually bought in stores. I also got great price @ buy 1, get 1 free! The ink was fresh and strong, not old and dried out. Great job, Amazon.com!

There seems to be a lot of conflicting reviews on this laptop. Some say they have one usb 3.0 port, some say they have two. I purchased this laptop a couple of weeks ago, and the laptop I received DID NOT have any usb 3.0 ports. If that is a problem for anybody they should probably look elsewhere.As far as the build quality, this laptop is very nice. I really like the brushed metal lid and the hard plastic bottom seems sturdy enough to me. The webcam is decent enough and the dual microphones perform really well. The chiclet keyboard is really nice, and it's convenient to have a number pad. I find myself using the fingerprint sensor to sign in to windows a lot, and so far I've had no issues. Once again the lack of usb 3.0 might but an issue for some, but I find the four usb 2.0 ports sufficient.Performance wise this laptop is very good for the price. It can definitely handle web applications with ease, but can also easily handle programs like Lightroom 3, and of course microsoft's suite of productivity programs. I have also done some light gaming with games like Counterstrike Source, Portal 2, and Team Fortress 2 with no problems at all. Anything more demanding than those games, and you should look elsewhere (minecraft gave me lots of frame droppage). One more note, the computer was loaded with a lot of crapware (as expected from hp). I had over 90 processes and 50% memory usage on startup, but I don't consider it a huge issue because it's easily fixed if you want.Overall this laptop is really nice and I would definitely recommend it to anyone except hardcore gamers and others who would need a dedicated GPU. For the price you can't really go wrong!

After reading excellent reviews of this laptop, I thought it would be perfect for the times Im forced by work, games or software to use a PC (I much prefer Macs so take this review with that in mind). The major problems:-The keyboard is laid out oddly and it is difficult to automatically find the correct keys.-This is compounded by the lack of backlit keys so that in anything other than strong light, it is doubly difficult to find the correct keys-The keyboard on occaision has caps locked even when the cap lock is not on, it is very easy to accidently lock the trackpad and frequently struck keys dont register-The log in and boot up time is very slow-The fingerprint authentication system is theoretically quite nice but it typically takes 4-5 swipes to get my fingerprint to register and by then I wished I had just typed in my password-The battery life appears to be about 4-6 hours which seems pretty shortAll in all a pretty disappointing experience. I really did want to give a PC a fair shake, particularly as I have to use this for many work related activities. However, there is no comparison with my Mac except I could buy 3 of the HP Probooks for the price of the Mac so perhaps the old adage "you get what you pay for" is the way to look at this.

Before this monitor I had the Dell u2412m which is better than this in specs in any category. I was gonna stick with the u2412m but because a really bright dead spot I returned it. Not wanting to wait for the back order I went ahead and ordered this one, 2511x. Man its not e-IPS but its so clear. The glossy screen makes for better and easier viewing (not on the sides, fyi its TN panel not IPS) Yes the u2412m from Dell was nice because I did not have to move it when I walk around but sitting in front of this is alot better. I can now read easier aswell. Need a Good calibration though.
